University Shops Plaza, 170 University Ave W, Waterloo, ON N2L 3E9, Canada
Unpretentious eatery providing Korean barbecue, soups & other traditional entrees.
My mom and I went there after touring the University just across the LRT tracks, and we were not let down! The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was pretty good. I liked the homey feeling of the atmosphere. Definitely a place I would want to return to.
Ate from here on 2 separate occasions, both were takeout. The first time, I only ordered yukgaejang. It was ok but I probably wouldn’t get it again from this location. Came back a second time and ordered bulgogi. Kimchi tasted watery, bulgogi was not very flavourful for some reason(?), gamja jorim was ok. Overall would rate it 3 stars for taste but then I found hair in my food so I’d bump it down to a 2.
We love Korean food and eat it fairly regularly but this was the first time trying Seoul Soul. It was good for what it is. We weren’t disappointed but we weren’t blown away by anything. It’s a casual local restaurant in the student area serving your typical Korean dishes at fair prices. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. They refilled our side dishes quickly. We got the kimchi pancake and pork bone soup. The pancake was good. The soup was good but a little too much fat for me. There were lots of pork bone (4 pieces) but just the one piece of potato. We really want to try their fried chicken another time as we hear it’s really good (just wasn’t in the mood for fried chicken that might). Overall, a decent place for a quick Korean meal. I would say it’s average but have an extra star because they do deliver on what they are. What you see is what you get. They don’t claim to be some fancy Korean restaurant with the best quality food. I would go here over Owl but I do prefer other Korean restaurants in the area.
This was an old Korean restaurant and the interior was a bit dated. Food was alright. The udon noodles had some thin sliced fish cake only. Service was not bad. They asked us whether we needed more side dishes. A few flies were bothering us while we were eating.
Decent price and the food was delicious. We did enjoy it a lot. Yangyeom chicken was perfectly seasoned. Forgot to take a picture of it. It’s been a year to eat Korean food again for me and the meal was worth it. I would also recommend naengmyeon. Try it when you visit here. They provide free and refillable side dishes as well.
Normally I love the bulgogi from Seoul Soul. I treated myself to a bulgogi lunch and this time found a dead fly in my food. It was buried under my rice. Never had this happen before and I won't be ordering again which is really sad because I truly enjoyed their food. If I'm finding dead insects in my food then I worry about other safety food precautions which could not have been taken by the restaurant.
Great place overall. Affordable and perfect for a quick meal. My friends and I were running late, but the service was fast. We all had soups and the broth was amazing. I will definitely come back to try all the different soups.
Absolutely delicious! Great Korean restaurant, huge portions and lots of great side dishes that will definitely fill you up. We ordered boneless fried chicken and the spicy ramen and rice cake dish. Everything was flavourful and cooked to perfection. Service was great too, our waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Casual spot for good comfort eats. Will definitely be back.
The most massive portion of Pork bone soup for 2, with rice and massive potatoes. Can feed a whole family. Insanely fast service. Good flavor as well. Come 1 hour before store closes . Best sides as well. Great value in calories per dollar.
Seoul soul is the best!
The jjayemeon and todays bulgogi bibibmaq were fire!
My go-to for a flavourful nourishing meal
Very good fried chicken. Side dishes were very tasty too. Great kimchi, potatoes, fishcake and pickled radish. Has cold beer too and soju. Nice service and good prices. They even have bongbong grape drink
We had fried chicken (padak) and somec . Chicken was very crispy, sauce was tasty, all of side dishes were good too. Server was attentive, we got a very good service. Food : 5/5
Soup was absolutely fantastic
My go to Korean restaurant. Amazing food, amazing people and I always leave wanting to come back.
The fire chicken is amazing
the food was delicious
best koriya food here
I love this place so much we ordered today and they forgot our rice and they sent me the cost of having to order it on uber cant thank them enough amazing service
Waitress got my order wrong in her rushed state, got in trouble with her boss, and slammed my correct order on the table not even looking at me or saying a word. Worst service I ve ever had.
Food was good. Maybe better if you spend more money. Fun setup with a stove brought to your table with the soup bowls.
Food is way overpriced for the money. They wouldnt even give me extra kimchi, insisting it costs 5 dollars. Theyre even stingy with the vinegar. Dont come here.
We got the galbitang and the medium honey garlic boneless fried chicken. We liked the egg drop in the galbitang. The fried chicken lacked flavour, but it was crispy and had a nice texture. The side dishes are delicious though! More recently, we had the bulgogi stew and the gamjatang. The bulgogi stew had lots of meat, but the dish was very sweet. The gamjatang had lots of meat as well, but tasted pretty standard. The restaurant is small, so it can get cold in the winter when the doors open. Weve also had the japchae lunch takeout, which was a large portion with lots of rice and side dishes, and tasted great. Overall, a solid place for Korean food and one of my friends favourite!
I m writing this right after I finish the meal in my car. I have to tell the owner right away just so they know and possibly it will help them improve and not make this mistake again. I ordered the spicy stir fry chicken and I was really looking forward to it but unfortunately the chicken is very chewy and I m actually nervous right now. Might have eaten undercooked chicken because chicken should never be chewy and it also has a very off taste. I am praying to God right now. I don t get sick . Staff is very friendly and I appreciated the service very much but unfortunately, they have to know that the chicken shouldn t be chewy . Maybe cutting them in thin or slices would help it cook through better.. just my suggestions it doesn t affect possibly other customer. I m just hoping I don t get sick . Just may it was a mistake made by the chef tonight, but please make sure it doesn t happen again to another customer where the chicken is so chewy and tasting off.
Vomitting after eating lunch at this place. The food does not look fresh. Would not recommend eating here.
Good restaurant. The price is fair with generous portion. Highly recommend!!!
I haven t been here in 23 years (since I was in Uni) but I still loved this place. We had the pork bone soup and the bulgogi and we loved it. The server was kind enough and asked if we wanted more of the side dishes. Food was great.
Wonderful food. We ordered Jjajangmyeon (mixed noodle in dark sauce CAD9.95 - special offer of the day), pork cutlets rice (CAD16.95) and potato pork bone soup (CAD15.95) and an extra bowl of white rice. All dishes taste great. The noodle bowl is generously filled with noodle and sauce. The noodle is at a good chewy texture. The seasoning of the sauce is just perfect. Pork cutlets is large in size and still got some pork juice inside. The texture of the rice is great - a little sticky and chewy. Just like authentic Korean rice. The potato pork bone soup taste wonderful. A little spicy and great to serve alone or with rice. They also served appetizers, including fish cake, kimchi and braised sweet potato in soy sauce. The sweet potato is a must to eat.
Great food and service! One of my favorite spots in Waterloo. Big portions too.
Portions are huge, and their prices are good. Their kimchi is SO good!! My friend and I ordered their Jjajangmyeon and Medium-sized Soy Garlic Chicken, they came with quite a few side dishes. We ate a lot but still had leftovers, as did many leaving the restaurant. Great if you re a student
My absolute favourite Korean restaurant in Waterloo! The fried chicken is extremely juicy, flavourful, and a great size. The kimchi fried rice is always a favourite of mine too. Not to mention the side dishes - the potato one is my favourite, so delicious! I always like getting the Rice Tea with my meal as well. The restaurant itself is very cozy and the ambiance is great - it can get busy, but thats just because the food is so good!
Ojinguh bokkeum (spicy squid with veggies) and banchan. I went at lunch so it wasn t on a sizzling platter (smaller proportion so cheaper). Staff was very kind with giving a few rounds of side dishes! It s not too spicy! Parking: Plaza has lots of parking
It really tastes terrible.
This is my first time eating food like this
It couldnt be this delicious...
I am leaving a review. $14 ddukbokii with only 8 ricecakes. The main ingredient here is supposed to be ricecakes (size of a persons finger). Noodle should come with together, but i asked for more ricecakes instead of noodles. I got 8 ricecakes and it cost me $14. The taste is weird and old. Btw in korea we get $3 for this amount. A reason why the review score is low. There was no tteokbokki on the menu, so I ordered rabokki. I asked for more rice cake instead of noodles. Includes 8 rice cakes for $14. The taste is also really strange. Reason for low rating
I got N3 Jjajangmyeon. Didnt see any pork in it. Watery taste. Asked for salt and pepper. Didnt help. Asked to take something else, the waitress said the manager is not there and they dont switch, because it should be tasty (what??). Also said that the other guy liked it, so I should like it too :)))). Anyways, putting tons of side dish in it, ate that without joy. This is the first place that Ive met not switching the dish if its not tasty. In general the dishes there fairly small. There are better Korean places in the area. Not recommend.
The food and environment was alright. However, we did not receive any service so we decided not to give tips because the waitress was ignoring us and not welcoming at all. After we gave 0 tips on the counter, the owner shouted to us and forcing us for at least 10% on tips. Will not recommend. Update regarding the owner s reply: this is not a false accusation and I am certain it is the correct restaurant. It didn t happen recently but it was so awful that me and my friend had a clear memory of it. There are lots of similar experiences here from other customers so the owner probably should acknowledge this issue and improve their attitudes, instead of questioning and accusing the customers back.
Quick service and Palatable foods.
My boyfriend and I ordered from this restaurant for the first time tonight and we LOVED it!! The portions sizes were amazing for the price and flavours in each dish were so well balanced and delicious. We will definitely be ordering from here again! :)
I found a few pieces of pubic hair in my kimchi fried rice, would not recommend coming here ever. And the older woman serving us was very disrespectful
Very good bibimbap, fast and very attentive service.
Absolutely the best Korean restaurant in KW. Great food, fair prices and super friendly staff.
Reminds me of the small mom and pop shops in Seoul. Great food, excellent service for take out. Never more than 15 minutes for take out and greeted with smiles. Minimum once a week here
Everything delicious! Great atmosphere and lovely service! Majority of customers are asian, so I guess it is a legit Korean place. We loved it!
I have had amazing experiences with Seoul Soul. I usually come to pick up Korean fried chicken at most Korean restaurants, but this time I dined-in and also had the Ddukbaegi bulgogi stew. It satisfied my craving for rice cakes, they were generous with the beef, and the sweet broth was perfect for the cold weather. Portions are huge! Everything tastes amazing, love the complimentary side dishes, food came out quick. Highly recommend and am definitely coming back in the future! It is now my favourite place in UWP to get Korean fried chicken (Spicy & Sweet House Sauce (YangNyeom) is the best).
Wonderful flavors! The food is amazing, I am never disappointed when I order. Thank you.
My husband and I love this place! We were staying in town in Fergus and made the trip to come have food here. It never disappoints. :)
Friendly, Quick service, affordable and Delicious food compare to other Korean resto.
Our server seemed extremely busy and didnt come to ask if we needed anything or if we were ready to pay. Saw another table had to stand up and find someone to take their order. Theyd benefit from an extra employee. Food was decent though.
Best Korean restaurant in town!
Very pretty and delicious bibimbap! Not only the main, but also side dishes were so good.
I love this place, and eat here frequently. The chicken is insanely good and the pork bone soup is a fav!
Ordered the yaki udon, honey bbq Seoul chicken and kimchi fried rice. I d give the udon and chicken a 5/5 and fried rice 4/5. Not sure about the customer service at this place but the food is delicious and flavourful. Pretty pricy though, more expensive than even Toronto restaurants but I d order here again.
Excellent spot for authentic Korean food at good prices.
I dined here with friends on a Saturday evening. I ordered labokki (spicy rice cakes with ramen). It tasted okay but it was watery and I felt like it was missing something. I wouldn t order the labokki again. The staff were friendly; the waiter smiled a lot. Prices are affordable.
Tried the soondae guk jeongol and it was pretty good. Very comforting on a cold day. Prices were reasonable and side dishes were also good.
Very tasty friend chicken, my partner enjoyed the Ramyun! Will definitely be coming back here sometime
Just order the common stuff and you will be satisfied. Other dishes are quite hit or miss, order at your own risk.
BBQ cheese pork and mandu!! They are some of my favourite dishes. However, the mandu here was okay, bbq pork was good.
Our experience at this restaurant was a literally amazing. I don t think I ll ever have chicken like that again chicken seasoned to perfection good portion, hot fries, hot chicken, cold drink what more can you ask for I will be returning.
so yummy
so yummy and best service
I have visited this place on numerous occasions and its time for me to write a review. I have savored several delicious Korean delicacies here and introduced my family and friends to this restaurant. They, too, were impressed and it instantly became their preferred destination for Korean cuisine, just like it did for me. The impeccable service, inviting ambiance, and delectable, fresh food make it an unbeatable combination.
Tried the garlic chicken wings, the portion was good but the taste was average. Wanted a side of noodles, but they didn t have that as an option I guess. Communication in english is a little tough here. Cash discount option available. Vegetarian options: Some vegetable and tofu based fried rice and noodles options were available Parking: A lot of spots are available in the plaza
Really enjoy the bulgogi lunch special
I had the Jjajangbap. Not enough pork, not enough salt. Too much sauce for the amount of rice. Service was good though.
Delicious and excellent service.
I came here yesterday. The food was delicious! Also the employees look like they really like the job, which is always a big plus. Food
We go here regularly. One of the best authentic Korean Food.
Great portions and happy staff. Good for an evening snack after a long day and workout. The boneless fried chicken is a great mix of white and dark meat, very juicy and crispy.
Nice small Korean restaurant with a decent variety on its menu, reasonable prices, and decent portions. The atmosphere is pretty simplistic and they have Kpop music videos playing. Most recently had bibimbap which was nicely put together. Would recommend!
I went to Seoul Soul for the first time today on the recommendation of a good friend. We were a party of three and ordered three different dishes- Bulgogi Stew, Mandu, and Ojinguh Bokkeum. Frankly, it was all delicious, well flavoured, well cooked and plentiful. The waiter was very polite and considerate. I will definitely introduce this restaurant, in the heart of the Waterloo University ghetto, to other friends. This is a casual, functional eatery, but the food is really good.
Jonna, it tastes bad.. I don t know why Jjajangmyeon has such a strong sour taste. The stir-fried pork came out less than 5 minutes after I ordered it, but the food was very cold ;; What part of meat is used? What kind of restaurant uses that kind of meat for stir-fried pork? Its ridiculous, but I was hungry after driving a long distance from Toronto to run an errand, so I ate it all over again, but I ended up not being able to eat it all and ended up throwing away more than half of it. While paying, I asked my part-time worker, What part of meat do you use for stir-fried pork? Do you know? I did it, but of course there would be Ali. I just thought to myself, Ugh, okay, I m not a person who comes to Waterloo often, so I thought I could skip this restaurant, so I just left. Please sell edible food. Please. It was disgusting
Soondubu was watered down and flavorless, kimchi also lacked flavour
The food is authentic Korean. Loved the side dishes as well and good level of spice yummy food Food
Seoul soul: #1 lets talk chicken. A small serving of one of their headline items will make you fall in love with this place. Overall its an amazing culinary experience with all of their items. Downsides: are not that bad but being fair and balanced. The wait staff are a little inattentive. It took us 10 min before we finally gave up waiting and flagged down a server to take or order. Bathrooms are unmarked until you locate the hallway by yourself and while I can understand this small resturant may not see this as a priority, they could use some TLC. Doors are aged walls have gaps and arent even painted white properly. However they function and look like they are cleaned regularly. This place lives up to the name by having soul. A bit more attention to restuanrt upkeep and proper training would take this place from diamond in the rough to full on Gem. That being said: go the food is great and they definitely deserve your business Update: took my family of 4 here and while most things have remained the same. I will be bringing my family back here. The food is still amazing. Got a medium chicken and a pot to share. Fed a family of 4 for 50$ that is an amazing deal. This resturant deserves your buisness.
This is one of the top two places for Korean food in Waterloo. The food you order is always accompanied by extra side dishes (at no charge), like kimchii or roasted potatoes. I dont like kimchii, so when I request no kimchii, they always replace it with extra potatoes. Yum! Regarding spice level: menu items that are indicated as not spicy truly are not spicy, something that I appreciate. Service is always very friendly. Closed on Sundays. Highly recommended.
I love Korean food I love pork bone soup and honey garlic chicken.
Great dumplings!
I went there several times. Pretty convenient location; in the University Plaza. I would recommend their Kimchi Fried Rice, Bulgogi(s), Jaeyuk Bokkeum and Galbi(s).
Years ago when I was in school this place used to be quite average. But today I went in with a couple of Korean friends and I was so pleasantly surprised. There must have been a change in ownership coz the food is now amazing! And I had Korean folks to attest to it themselves! The portions were very generous and pricing more than reasonable compared to what most places charge these days. Its not some fancy restaurant but thats how you know youre getting good food definitely coming back for the Honey Garlic Fried Chicken and Jjajangmyeon!
Vegetarian options: Kimchi stew is awesome Food
Its cozy cozy. I love the yellow tone. The fried chicken is a bit dry to me. Staffs are soooo nice. U gotta try their white rice Tteokbokki is kinda spicy to me.
Best Korean fired chickenni have ever had
Quite busy for a small venue, great atmosphere and better food.
Great Korean food spot and open later than other Korean spots in Waterloo! Highly Recommend Food
The owner forced me to give them tips even they did really bad jobs. Is that even legal??????
The food was well portioned and seasoned, and the honey garlic fried chicken was delicious. They do not have as many pieces as others but are certainly bigger pieces. Staff were friendly as always.
Thought it was pricy at first but they have very large portions so its very worth it :)
Excellent service
First time here yesterday was recommended by my friend that goes here alot . What amazing food and service absolutely delicious and quality food. Thank you guys
Seoul Soul is an authentic Korean restaurant that serves Korean Fried Chicken & other traditional entrees and dishes~ I had a chance to go there last week for the first time, and might I say out of all the Korean restaurants I ve been to Waterloo Seoul Soul definitely is in my top 3. I had ordered 3 dishes; Jaeyuk Bokkeum, Seoul Chicken, and Kimchi Fried Rice. All of these dishes were fantastic and absolutely delicious. My favourite out of all of the dishes was definitely the Seoul Chicken which was basically Korean fried chicken glazed with Sweet & Spicy house sauce (YangNyeom). The fried chicken is so juicy yet crispy and tender, it was just perfect! I d definitely recommend trying out their fried chicken cause its just amazing. To hear about this review, follow us @eatinontario on Instagram and Facebook.
delicious! so many great options to choose from.
Fire chicken
Heard great things about the Seoul fried chicken and can attest that the chicken definitely lives up to the hype! Amazing fried chicken that has an excellent light crunch coating, juicy tender meat, not too greasy, and tossed with a yummy spicy sweet house sauce. We also tried the kimchi fried rice and the jjajangmyeon noodles with black bean sauce - both were savory and tasty! The noodles and the black bean sauce were packaged separately, to my surprise, but didnt take long to toss the noodles myself with the black bean sauce. Looking forward to trying other dishes at Seoul Soul!
Tried out the Korean fried chicken place in the University plaza. The prices are decent for the portions and the customer service was good (small business with a family-oriented feel). Got the soy and garlic chicken - it had a good coating of breadcrumbs but the flavour could ve been more distinct. Overall a decent place to try
Tried their fried chicken and it was absolutely delicious. Very neat packaging too. Will definitely be trying out their other dishes.
I really love this place. It s family owned and the owners are lovely. Their food is so delicious and sometimes I just buy a big container of kimchi to use at home. I wasn t even a huge fan of kimchi until I tried theirs. This deserve a much higher rating!!
Authentic Korean restaurant with good prices and their unlimited side dishes taste good too
We love going to this restaurant. The age dash tofu is also amazing. The father is the cook and is a super nice human being. The daughter is behind the counter and is very sweet. I have been going here for years and we enjoy this family and their Korean Restaurant. Definitely a place to go to if you are in Waterloo at anytime ! ** Update: new owners and the previous family owners trained the new family that bought their business. Its even better now with bigger portions and new food items. Still love this place and love the previous and new owners. Very nice people and great food.
Portions are good and price is reasonable for students. Minimal options for vegetarian people. Overall dishes are delicious. Bit stingy on the meat.
*Change in rating* their fried chicken was really good!
Awesome food and good service!
Amazing Food and amazing staff... didnt expect the food to be this nice.. the fried chicken oh maannn kfc needa learn something from this restaurant... 10/10 food will visit again
Delicious food! So yummy and flavorful, will definitely order again.
I was really happy with the explanation of the food, the service. Very helpful and really clean. Friendly and the food was so delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic Korean food
Their soups and stews are amazing! Moved from Toronto recently and tried a couple Korean restaurants in KW but this is the one for authentic Korean dishes.
Not friendly staff
This place is soooo good! I always get the fire chicken (so good) and their kimchi and potatoes they serve at the beginning are amazing. :)
OMG .... the Galbi! If youre Jamaican, get the LUNCH GALBI. To everyone else, get the LUNCH GALBI Copy/paste special instruction notes below if ordering for delivery. Special instructions: WELL, WELL, WELL DONE Galbi with EXTRA SWEET SOY SAUCE on food. Recommendation: order an extra side of their special sweet potatoes because oooooh weee!
Food is alright but very overpriced with relatively small portions
Food is decent, a little pricey & small portions. The chicken I had tasted a bit off.
Good place amazing spare ribs. Beef bulogi is really good as well. I used to go with a good friend named Daniel and we would always go to this spot for the price and quality of the food. He showed me this spot now we dont talk ironically. You take the Ion from Waterloo station and walk into the back of the plaze nice little shirt cut. Our main female server always takes care of us and apologized the day a new boy serves us was his first day lol.
I loved the food, especially the Seoul Seoul chicken
My experience at Seoul Soul was memorable. The decor inside was beautiful and the service was quick. The rice has a perfect soft, sticky texture that felt satisfying in my mouth. The beef was spicy yet soft and tender. It went perfectly along with the rice. The seafood ramen was an explosion of delightful spices. The chunks were easy to swallow with a perfect mix of tangy and spicy. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant especially if you re a fan of spicy Korean food.
The fried chicken is fantastic, on the softer side but great flavour. The jajangmyeon was very disappointing though and had almost no flavour. Overall would recommend the fried chicken but might be best to stay away from the noodle dishes
Good food good service always
Good portion, reasonable price, great food
Home-style Korean dish. Price is not high but taste pretty good, very good for student groups. 3 people ordered a hotpot and were good. Highly recommended.
I ve dined in once and ordered in three other times and all I can say is 20/10! The staff is so lovely and welcoming! You think it couldn t get better, but then the food comes and it does!!! Love this place, if you re in the area you should definitely go in! The Galbi is to die for!
One of my favourite Korean restaurant, located conveniently at the university plaza. The food is already great, so much flavour. I got the soup, it came with sides which they topped up. Great place for a meat out.
It s ok
Tasty food they even gave me sides I didnt order which was great. I would have liked it better if the kimchi was spicier though.
Good customer service. Good and tasty food.
Tasty food
Usually this place is good but yesterday I ordered the beef dish and there were only two strings of beef in there and they increased the price for this dish as well money wasted,
KFC!! Korean Fried Chicken. It is so good! Must try!!
The best Korean fried chicken Ive ever had. They have a lot of different flavors, bone in and boneless options. Definitely give them a try if youre in the area. Parking: Always a lot of free parking for customers in the plaza.
A little on the expensive side but tasty.
Food was pretty good. Overall good experience
Friendly service and good-sized portions!
I ordered the kimchi fried rice and the Korean fried chicken (half original and half sweet and spicy) and it was amazing. The flavours are there, the food was nice and hot, the chicken was juicy. The portions are huge too, I had to take the rest home. Overall it was a very pleasant meal! Will be coming back again
horrible food The chicken wings all have hairs on it which makes me feel sick. Not recommended and never come again
THE MOST UNDERRATED SPOT IN WATERLOO. The sharing meals r so sick and it s actually a lot of food. also the soy garlic chicken is EXQUISITE like genuinely this place is in my top 3. Tastebuds delighted overall just a pretty fire day with some fire rice cakes and chicken. Look at how i stir that pot yessirski
I like the cozy vibe that local businesses have. Their pork bone soup is really good, but I wish it was a bit cheaper haha
One of the best restaurants in KW for sure
The fried chicken and tofu soup here is a must have. Had the food delivered fast and portion sizes were great, coming with all the side dishes you need 5/5 restaurant.
Excellent, delicious food at very reasonable prices. Moreover, the service is very friendly and personable. If youre looking for a great Korean meal I would definitely recommend this local business.
A classic. One of the best meals Ive had since the pandemic started. Really enjoyed my meal.
The owners are very nice and the food was fantastic, will be frequenting this establishment.
Fantastic food! Owner was nice and gave us extra pieces of chicken. Great local business to support!!
Not the best korean food I have had but also not the worst. The galbi beef is not tender so you kinda have to spit out a lot of the pieces. Also a bit stingy with side dishes when getting take out. Overall I personally think Korean BBQ is better for some dishes.
Wow, amazing, so refreshing to get food this good in Waterloo
I have never tried the Korean style chicken before, I ordered the boneless fried chicken with green onions. Believe me when I say it s better than the KFC (#opinion), and healthier in comparison to Popeyes. Must try! P.S. - the little drawing and thank you notes were very nice.
Its a good restaurant, food good and service is great but there are definitely other more competitive Korea restaurant nearby.
Amazing. Everything Ive had from here has been top notch. I havent explored the whole menu, but I intend to. Dont even think about not ordering the wings, they are crazy good.
The food was very bland. Not worth the price, as well as the portion for the beef was very minimal.
Ordered from here for my first time and was not disappointed! Food not only tasted delicious but authentic as well. Portions were huge and extra sides were tossed in. I will definitely be ordering again, I want to try EVERYTHING! Thank you!
Love this place! Having tried a ton of Korean dishes both here and in Toronto, I can honestly say this place is one of my favourites, and a go to when craving Korean food. The Jjajangmyeon and Soondubu Jjigae are especially good!
Ordered from skip and had fast and really friendly service :) the food was really good too and had great presentation! They even left a cute note on my receipt :)
Very affordable, efficient prep, great portions and delicious. Ordered the beef short rib with rice which also came with some side dishes. It is a part of their all day lunch menu, which was fantastic considering I was coming back from a day at work. I love supporting small family-owned businesses as I am always pleased with the service and quality - this was no exception. Recommended to anyone looking for a homey meal within an affordable budget.
I ordered a pork soup before they gave me a big half of potato in the soup without cut and it also had stale taste . So gross!!! I persuaded your guy do not order their food . Waste your money!!!!
Extremely friendly service! I really enjoyed the jjajangmeyon. I wish I bought 2 because I went home craving for more! I will definitely be coming back!
This family owned place is fantastic! Thank you so much for making my day with the delicious food and great service Definitely will be back soon again. All the best!
I love the place bulgogi and their side dishes are the best
John is a master chef. We are always welcomed like family. Their fried chicken is among the best Ive ever tasted. And the pork bone soup is still my favourite.
Spicy pork bone soup was not very flavourful and not hot. I would not go again
Ordered the lunch special of stir fried spicy pork for pick up. The food was delicious but a bit on the pricey side for the quantity given when compared to other spots at the plaza. I loved the pork and the side of potatoes but wish the potatoes were warm (not sure if they should be though). Defining recommend it when craving some Korean spicy pork
DELICIOUS. My partner and I went here night for the first time and the food was fantastic. we ordered the boneless friend chicken, bimbap and a delicious spicy squid cheese dish. all of it was fantastic. the service was great to, our waitress was so nice! the establishment is incredibly clean as well. would recommend. exited to try their other food
It was a good place to eat or just to hang out. The place was small but cozy. The server was friendly. I ordered spicy squid with rice, for about I think 17 CAD. Other than that, you could order some appetizers also.
Food was delicious, service was efficient and friendly, care was taken with checking vaccination status and spacing customers.
Not sure why place only has 3.5 starts. Thier pork bone soup is BEST in town :D
I love getting lunch here and the service is always so friendly!
Their korean fried chicken is to die for. Excellent food and great portion sizes! Highly recommend!
The korean fried chicken is fantastic, tastes just like the fried chicken I ate in Korea. Highly recommend.
High quality food, friendly staff oh and great food
rlly good food and nice service
