Great spot for a pizza and some drinks

Super good pizza, approved by an italian! I am always hesitant when eating pizza outside of italy but this was totally worth it! Vegetarian options: 3 vegetarian pizzas available: margherita, primavera, and 4 cheeses

One of my favourites in the city! Always super fast service, even when ordering online with uber. Friendly staff, great food. My mom and I are both vegetarian, there are plenty of options for us. Nice patio during the summer.

Fantastic location and atmosphere, encapsulates what makes Waterloo beautiful, and the big stone oven ties everything together. Probably the best pizza Ive ever had. There is no dispute that these are authentic pizza makers using top notch real ingredients and strikingly delicious recipes. This is not something you can compete with at home and makes it well worth delivery. I cant ask more from these brilliant pizza makers, I only wish I had more money to spend here.

No frills Classic Italian food and portions are big.

True Italian restaurant. They have the right oven and make REAL Italian pizza. One of the staff is Italian and he taught everyone else how to CORRECTLY pronounce the names of the dishes (and this deserves a praise). Also, for us, 8 visitors including 4 kids, the service was beyond fabulous. We were helped by two people and both were extremely helpful, attentive and quick. Highly recommended for families and lovers of true Italian cuisine. This place should have 5 firm stars for sure. Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu and a few more small-size options that will be appreciated by the little patrons.

My partner and I decided to go see the beautiful Christmas lights in Waterloo Park. On our way home, we decided to try this place. I have to say this is by far one of the best pizzas I have had since visiting Europe! I cant wait to introduce people to this delicious spot. The food is definitely a 10/10 for me. P.S. Their parmesan dipping sauce is fantastic!

What a great find! I read the reviews and I am so glad we stopped! The pizza combo was perfect for lunch and the tiramisu for dessert was the perfect ending. I did not enjoy my pizza it was cold and there was way too much arugula. They were happy to replace it but I did not enjoy the second pizza either.

This was my second visit to Famoso and both time were fantastic. The pizza is always good but maybe more impressive was the chicken supreme sandwich. So good! Top that off with top notch service by Amanda who was super attentive and friendly . Will be back for sure!

We live going to Famoso! Every time there s a short wait (but we only go on popular times)but they always seem to find a table faster than the quoted wait. The pizza is amazing, the ingredients high quality and they have gluten free pizza. They also have a delicious chicken parm. Great atmosphere to go as a group, with kids or on a casual date. 10/10! Dietary restrictions: They have the most delicious gluten free crust!

Delicious Freshly Baked Pizza Ever Had !!

We went here to celebrate a birthday. The pizza and appetizers were delicious! They were one of the better restaurants Ive been to when it came to handling my childs food allergies. They have a separate area where they prep pizzas for those with food allergies/dietary restrictions to try and minimize any chance of cross contamination. We will definitely be back! Kid-friendliness: They brought out a ball of pizza dough for each of the kids to play with while they waited for their food. They had a blast with that!

I crave their tomato soup from time to time - it is so delicious! Recently tried their happy hour deals, with the pizzas being just as tasty , apps were good, and the glass of wine is a good deal. Great time and solid food.

All i could say is that the pizza is sooo good and uncomparable around the area, the closest we have from the pizza in Italy. The ingredients are top-notch. And the service you get is next level where you can really see that the people that works here are happy from the looks of them and specially to Joan that gave our food, shes full of energy and all smiles the moment she greeted us.

I had an amazing dining experience at Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria in Waterloo! The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out. The service was exceptional,We started with the Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella Balls, which were incredibly delicious gooey cheese wrapped in savory prosciutto, all perfectly complemented by the fresh tomato sauce. For our main course, we enjoyed the Quattro Formaggi and Capricciosa pizzas. Both were outstanding, with fresh ingredients and a delightful crust that truly showcased the Neapolitan style. To top it off, we indulged in the Dolce and Banana dessert, which was a delightful end to our meal. Overall, Famoso is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. Five stars for the food, service, and overall experience!

After the basil made us sick a month ago we took a break. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo today and it was FULL of dark burnt looking ground beef chunks. Super disgusting and will not be ordering again! Super inconsistent.

Went to Famoso today with friends and the server named Ian was amazing on taking care of our needs and orders. Would highly recomemnd their food and Ians amazinng customer service and relation. Will absolutely be back and try their other menu.

We went today at around 12:45 and someone in our group ordered a vegan pizza and it came with ham, no big deal mistakes happen. It comes back a second time with a PIECE OF HAM STILL ON IT and burnt which lead us to believe the ham was just removed, pizza put back in the oven and then sent back which is COMPLETELY INMORAL AND WRONG and poses a risk to individuals with certain food allergies. This is something that is not allowed to be done at respectable restaurants and instills mistrust in the customer, very bad experience. The waitress was very polite and did her best to rectify the situation but I can t speak for anyone else in the kitchen.

Came here for drinks on the patio this evening and highly recommended the limoncello spritz! The atmosphere of the patio was vibrant as it is in the heart of uptown, yet it was also nice and easy to have a sit down conversation at as well. Jacqueline and Rema served us and they were very attentive and friendly! Definitely will be back!

Food was good, parking is surely an issue. There is municipal parking, but it s a 5 minute walk and you have druggies and homeless on the way out of that parking (not sure if it s safe).

The food is always delicious here. Everyone is friendly and it has a really good feel to the place. Very inviting. My only issue (and not really an issue it was just confusing) was that we didnt know who our server was. We never spoke to the same server twice. It was always someone new at our table. We had 7 different servers. But it was still good customer service.

Exceptional and super friendly service. Me and my partner were not sure which IPA to order. The staff helped us to decide according to our taste bud and gave us samples to try first. Then my kid asked for crayons which they didn t have, so they gave him pizza dough instead which he enjoyed so much . Famoso Restaurant is fantastic! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food is amazing we really loved the prawns rosé, their summer special pizza and the Tiramisu. Everything was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend! Well definitely be back!

The service here was great. Loved our server because they were so happy. You could tell they loved their job! The atmosphere was about what you would expect from an American pizza restaurant. Certainly didnt feel like I was transported to Italy. The food was good. I found the pizza dough to be a little heavy, and the sauce was more like a tomato paste than it was pizza sauce. It was quite thick, and not very sweet.

Went here for lunch.Because it looked like an interesting place. Was promptly seated and given a menu , but then after about ten minutes and several servers going by I wasnt even offered water. I got up and left.

Ice cream shouldn t cost 40 dollars for a family of four wishing for a couple of scoops each, counter service at the entrance . This is the sort of thing that leaves me disappointed in general . This is out of reach for a working family.

Good but used to be great, it seems cost cutting has hit some menu items hard The meditarían flat bread no longer has any feta, lemon, or tatziki and is just dry bread with humus, pretty lame The brushetta is also just not as good as it used to be, hard to say why Staff has always been good and usually food but it s unfortunate to see the start of a possible downhill progression

Used to love coming here but the last few times it has been a terrible experience. Waited over 40 mins for my drink and ended up leaving as it did not show up. Waitress was very rude as well.

Our favourite pizza in town! The owner is so kind and caring, and Manue a server we often have the pleasure of dealing with, is just living and breathing hospitality! We go at least once or twice a month and will continue to support this fantastic pizzeria.

I d like to think Dave Portnoy would approve. This is one of my favorite spots in Uptown Waterloo! My friends and I often go and split a pasta dish and a pizza. The food is delicious, and the staff is super nice. It s a tad noisy, but not kid-screaming-pull-your-hair-out noisy just murmurs from other tables talking and cooking in the kitchen.

My partner and I used to live in KW and we really enjoyed ordering from Famoso. We still like getting a pizza to go when we re passing through town. After about a year of not going to Famoso, I ordered one of our favourite pizzas to bring home. Upon picking it up, I thought it looked greasier and the toppings looked really sparse. When I brought it home, my partner happened to say the same thing. We still enjoyed it, but we were disappointed by the quality for $30.

Very thin pizzas so they can be end up very soggy depending on what toppings you put on. 2024 Edit: Food definitely improved since my first time here, now I look forward to it.

Still the best pizza in KW (from an Italian), we try pizza all over KW. Some good, some not so much. This reminds me of Italy. Your tomato sauce brings back memories of childhood. Great wine, great food, incredible coffee. All around still one of my favourite places to eat. But why no real Parm??? :)

Came here for the first time the other day, we split the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella balls and prosciutto and arugula pizza! Really enjoyed both the pizza and the appetizer, would definitely come back to try more from the menu!

Just dined here and fabulous on all counts: the ambience, the food and, most of all, the impeccable service! Pizza here was top notch... crust was sooo nice and crispy. You get to watch your pizza being freshly baked in the large pizza oven and then have it served to you piping fresh and hot. Love that you can choose 1/2 pasta portions. My Alfredo fettuccine was some of the best Ive had. I will be returning. This restaurant is a gem!!

Went here for a casual after-work dinner, but quickly turned out to be a little, lovely Italian date with my husband. The place is warm and dimly-lit and it just set the tone for the perfect pizza-pasta-gelato dinner to cap off our tiring workweek.

first time here, went for dinner with my friends. We got drinks.. sooo fancy & delicious-also half price for some after 8pm or so! such good deals! we got pizzas and soup s & bruschetta-bruschetta to die for. Pizza was home made in a pizza oven, and we were able to see from where we sat. Such a beautiful atmosphere & the service was excellent. Loved the food here! Been to Famoso twice already, they have quite a few vegetarian options. Price cannot be classified as affordable but it s not too bad either. Famoso has been one of my go-to places in Waterloo! Love their meatballs. Their pasta is decent. Their pizza is fantastic- I highly recommend the margerita and Vesuvio pizzas! Best of all is happy hour - during which there are discounted 8 pizzas, discounted drinks etc. You can show up grab a few little pizzas and a few 5$ beers without breaking the bank which is great.

This place never disappoints, the wood fire oven makes the best pizzas and the soup is by far my favorite, especially the italian chicken soup it s the best comfort soup especially when you re under the weather. The service is delightful, Juliana took great care of us and made our night. Will definitely keep coming back 10/10

My husband and I decided to try famoso out for our date night. We werent sure at first if the gluten free options would be good. But after talking with the server and trying some of the food out, we will be making it a regular spot. My favourite part about this place is that you can order half a plate of pasta! As someone who can never finish a full plate this is the perfect way to avoid over eating. Although, the pizza and pasta so mediocre in my opinion, I like having this option, such that it beats out the mediocre competition in KW region.

Had a great experience last night, as always. We are regulars and the food and service never disappoints. Last night we were served by Sebastian, who was an excellent server. One thing we were really impressed by was that he asked if I was driving after I ordered a second alcoholic drink. He said the safety of customers is very important to him. We were incredibly impressed by this level of responsibility. Kudos Sebastian!

It is a kid-friendly restaurant! We had a family lunch here, and they provided my kid with pizza dough to play with and have kids meals! My kid loves this place so much! will definitely bring her here again! We have a great day here!

Famoso is a highly recommended restaurant. They offered excellent service and delicious food. I particularly enjoy their barbecue chicken, tiramisu and gelato.
