A few interesting menu options, everything I tried was good. Not exactly spectacular but better than the fast food burger chains

Service wasn t good, food prep didn t look clean, beef bacon and cheddar fries were a soup as seen in video.

Had to take the Grandson for xray and found this place in the same strip mall..I had the chili cheese fries and it was perfect but I could not eat it all and took over half to go..Grandson had a cheese burger combo with onion rings and it to was excellent..Fresh bun, produce and large quantities ..Bathrooms and eat in area was spotless and very clean...I will definitely be back..

The owner/manager Josef is very polite and friendly! Food was from another plant served fresh, quickly and very warm. What a great experience with this restaurant. Theyre bringing Vegan options to the menu with their beyond meat options which is amazing!! Theyre also literally one of the only restaurants at the moment to do the beyond meat chicken (which are super amazing)! Theyre also very accomodating in working with customers to bring new or different options on. Hopefully well continue to see more and more vegan/plant based added to the menu in the future if people are interested. All around 10/10

I got the Hawaiian chicken and my wife got the classic burger deal with jalapeno cheddar fries. The food came out hot and tastes delicious! The owner was super nice, and I really hope this place gets more business because it rocks!

Shakes were fine. Poutine was fine. Chili fries were fine. These burgers though? Only The edges were cooked. The closer to the centre it got the less cooked it was and some parts were completely raw. This is how food poisoning happens. It was a delivery order too so it wasnt something I could address at the counter. Food safety should always be a priority. Be careful and check your meat before you eat it. I did what I could to get a photo. Even as bad as this photo is, it doesnt show just how pink/red this burger was. I had to throw both in the garbage.

Says on the front of the store that there are daily burger specials. Went in to get one, asked for it to be a meal and turned out to be the exact same price as their non-special price. I asked why that was, and they simply said because its a meal and that its still a good deal Then it took them more than 5 minutes to cancel the order and simply get me the burger on its own because they didnt know how to operate their own POS system. Overall a very embarrassing and unpleasant experience with the staff. Once I finally received the burger, it was the most mediocre thing Ive seen. Easily anyone can do better and at least put some care into it at home. Do not recommend.

Delicious, and friendly service!!

Came in late on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty. The place is open quite late (2am) so its a good place to stop by for a late bite. The burger was good, decent patty and delicious quality bun. Onion rings seemed a bit sparse and were alright. Combos were definitely a bit more expensive than other fast food joints, but the staff were friendly and the food was hot and fresh with slightly better quality. As for the atmosphere, the tables and washrooms were very clean - which is always nice to find in the evening. Not sure if I would return just based on the food because of the higher prices, but I would keep it open as a late night option.

I found the service here excellent, really patient and accommodating staff at this location. I was surprised to have the staff physically bring my order to my table and follow-up to ask if the food was to my liking and if they could do anything else for us. The food was well seasoned, the Chicken sandwich with secret sauce was tasty. The Fish and Chips were freshly made and tasted great. The portion sizes were really fair for the price of each item. I cant wait to come back here and try other items on the menu whenever Im back in Waterloo again. Dietary restrictions: All food is Halal. The menu has vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu items like French Fries, Chicken Tenders, Nuggets, sandwiches and milkshakes.

Theres a reason this place is so highly rated. My buddy and I go here multiple times a week after our workout and the workers and owner are very kind and caring. The burgers are solid and the wraps are delicious. I always end up getting a burger combo with a classic vanilla shake and its the perfect way to end my night. Definitely recommend. (Especially the sriracha burger)

We were craving pub quality fries, poutine, and burgers for a quick takeout meal. Boardwalk Burgers exceeded our expectations. Well be back. The fries are made fresh and served hot, crispy and golden in a paper cup that keeps them warm. The poutine is also excellent with real curds and tasty gravy. The poutine portion size is not too big and not too small, ideal for upgrading your combo. The spicy chicken burgers were great with a crunchy coating on the chicken, tasty sriracha mayo, flavourful sliced tomatoes topped with lettuce and pickled jalapenos on glossy, golden buns. I overheard that the beef burgers are halal. I bet theyre delicious too. Definitely give this place a try. Dietary restrictions: Menu is halal with prominent vegetarian options and includes some non-standard offers like salads with protein which might appeal to folks with dietary restrictions or following gluten free or keto diets. Went for lunch today. Have been craving a good burger. Let me tell you this place did not disappoint. Had a swiss and mushroom burger and fries. Big burger fresh Bunn lots of mushrooms. Fries were good. Owner really nice and Im stuffed. We would recommend this place over any restaurant in town for burgers. Cant wait to go back. Its a little bit hidden in the plaza in watterloo but well worth checking out.

I love their premium sandwich buns and the burgers. My favorite is the spicy mayo burger, and they make their burgers fresh. Will definitely go back to the place. Its a very good place if you want to try out some burgers and sandwiches.

The boardwalk has some amazing food! We tried the grilled chicken burger, the chipotle burger, the crispy chicken, the Parmesan garlic fries and the milkshakes. The burgers were so good! Even the bread is nice and fluffy. The fries were yummy, fresh, and crispy. The milkshakes were absolutely delicious! The service is great, and we got our food fast. We can t wait to try the other items on the menu!

I previously had dinner at this store, and today I was here too. But unfortunately before ordering anything, I decided to use the washroom. But the moment I requested them to allow me, the guy at the store blurted out the following words : The washroom is for our customers . This experience was extremely humiliating and I would never ever visit again. Do you really think by saying that to someone you would gain more customers? Or do you think anyone would ever want to become a customer after hearing such words spoken in utter rudeness? I left the store immediately without ordering anything, and I would never enter the store again. I regret that I was a customer before.

This place is amazing for halal burger lovers. We don t have lots of halal restaurants that offer a good selection of burgers. We tried their burgers that come with pineapples; they didn t disappoint. It was fresh, juicy and satisfying. They also have a great selection of drinks! I highly recommend it. Their onion rings are to die for.

Outstanding Establishment! The owners went above and beyond on our large order on a Monday morning! Rather than going through a third party- the owner took our order and even delivered to us and made everything so easy! The orders were all individually wrapped to make things even better! We saw the online reviews for Boardwalk Burgers as we were going to Wendy s in the same plaza and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint! I had a grilled chicken with a hot sauce made just for me and my other half had a fish sandwich. The chicken was fresh and perfectly cooked. The fish was tasty is perfectly done. The fries were to a cooked perfect crispness. Would highly recommend it (and was fairly busy mid-day on a Tuesday).

burger craving not satisfied! Was excited to try this place however did not have a great first experience. We Ordered four burger combos (various burgers) and one childrens meal . $90 later, we felt so ripped off . *beef Burgers - meat was tasteless, condiments didn t add much taste. *Fries - cold, soggy and cups were inches from being filled (as pictured) *Kids cheese burger - pictured on child size plate. Quite small compared to the cheese slice, and didn t have ketchup or pickles as requested *sweet potato fries - is this even a full serving? *child size up broke down and leaked all over counter top after 45 mins. Large cups seemed to be better quality and didn t have same problem. 2/5. Can t say I m keen to try any other menu items.

Really disappointed after this order, especially after so many great reviews. I had ordered two chipotle burger combos, both with milkshakes, one with sweet potato fries, and one with a poutine. Also the deepfried cheesecake. Sweet potato fries are cold, soggy and wet. The poutine has lumpy gravy, and the portion size is extremely small... filled half way? Shakes are fine. The burgers are okay, the meat tastes burnt. Cheesecake is also cold, soggy and wet. Spent a lot for this and it just was not that great.

Crispy chicken is poorly made, the piece of chicken is sliced in half and over cooked which caused it to be hard. Prices are high in comparison with other Halal Crispy chicken burgers competition!

Food was okay. The classic burger sauce was too sour, and the fries were a mix of too crispy or just mushy. But bonus points for the plastic straw!

French fries are actually really good - crisp, fresh, properly seasoned. Milkshake gives quality over quantity and the burger was a delight. I agree with what was covered in other reviews, including cleanliness. Would recommend. I d much rather give these folks my business than the established chains who are raising prices without making their offering any better.

We came to do lots of laundry at the laundromat. I know exciting date night life on a Friday night. We were served by Anuthinan on till. He gave amazing service told us since we were doing laundry We were welcome to come back for refills. He asked how our food was I said my husband wasnt a big fan of the chili cheese fries but the gravy was amazing so we shared those He insisted we come back He remade us fresh fries and through in some free chicken tenders that wed never tried and were amazing!!! This location had barqs rootber and plastic straws ! It was our first time comming to the location but deffinetly wont be our last! Best experience highly recommend this location!.

The burger is really good, reasonably priced. The shake is pretty solid as well. Service is quicker than I expected. The chilli cheese fries on the other hand, those things are disgusting. The beans feel undercooked, the cheese sauce lacks any substance to it whatsoever, and the soggy fries just suck. Avoid the chilli cheese fries, aside from that. Great place.

I love coming to this place for comfort food. I usually get the mushroom burger and its always fresh and delicious. The portios are big and I usually get full with just the burger. Customer service is excellent, so I keep coming back!!!

Great burger, cozy place and really nice staff.

Went to try their BOGO offer since they paid so much marketing and buying reviews! I ordered a Hawaiian chicken sandwich as I wanted to try a grill chicken sandwich. My husband got a spicy chicken sandwich which was a fried one! They do make to order, however my grill chicken was raw! I told them about it & they politely agreed to bring a new one. They made a completely different sandwich than the one I ordered. Mine should ve had cheese, pineapple & chipotle sauce but the sandwich had none of the above! To top that, the new sandwich had 4 tiny overcooked chewy pieces of chicken instead one one large piece! That s not a sandwich that s a huge mess up! It was quite disappointing to go back to tell them about it, so I just told please get me pineapple & chipotle on the side. I also paid $2 extra to sub to sweet potato fries which were so soggy & soaked in oil! I could literally taste bad oil! It was one of my horrible experiences. My husband had a decent sandwich! Only giving 2 stars because the manager or owner came to me to check on me if my second sandwich was okay! But it wasn t! Sorry!

Tried crispy chicken burger here. They have frozen chicken breast patty. I personally dont like chicken breast in my sandwich so for me this was not a great sandwich. There are plenty of sandwich joints around with better options. So rating this as average. But they have good sitting and service. Pricing is average.

A friend and I got some burgers the other night and they were really great! Fries were nice too and everything was fresh and tasty.

Amazing atmosphere, well priced to other fast food. And omg the food is so good! Best fries in the area, and the burgers are to absolutely die for. Could not recommend this place enough. 6 stars!
