Everything about this place is great! The atmosphere and decor are very cute and cozy. The food was very good and the owner even gave us extra for a mistake that we didn't even notice. The quality is some of the best I've had in Waterloo.
The owner Fionna is super nice! I usually go to Circle Food with my friends and we always love what we get! Portion size was good enough to be full and the food tastes amazing! My friends and I come here pretty often just simply because the food is great and the owner is so kind and sweet! I highly recommend trying it out!
I’be been ordering my meal plans here for while. They are good quality made. I really liked the private chef style that I get something new to try and don’t need to think about it, and the food are made with quality ingredients. I also like the restaurant are providing something special like crabs, seafood things like that. I get the point that other people think the taste is not good. I agree the taste may not be the best all the time comparing to other restaurants, and sometimes I found the soups to be too salty to me. However, I’m not that type of people plenty of time to find the best restaurant for every dish everyday. I’m that type of people that don’t have time to cook quality dishes, but wanted to get that kind of quality dishes with healthy ingredients, and the chef is willing to pick the dish for me. That’s saving a LOT of my time for looking for restaurants, looking for new dishes, looking for fine quality ingredients. And if you buy the meal plans, they are fair priced since I know the price of quality food if you really care about healthiness. And those special dishes, i get that they are more costly if you compare the prices with those in Toronto, but I’m a realistic person realizing I need to drive 1.5hrs all the way to either Toronto or Missisagua to get them. I’m a busy person that don’t have that much time anymore, and 1.5hrs are way valuable than the little overhead that this restaurant is added to those special dishes. The other restaurants, well, some of them may taste better, but they did that by adding a lot of ingredients that’s not healthy at all. Some of them cover the fact that they use less fresh ingredients by putting too much flavors. I need healthy food for daily nutrition. This is the exactly the restaurant I need. Speaking of time, I texted the chef every time 1hr before I need the meal plan to be prepared. They are usually ready when I get there. If the don’t, the chef would provide snacks for me while I’m waiting, and I liked these little surprises. But I do hope the restaurants can further reduce the cost and reduce the price of the dishes once everything is more settled.
Really enjoyed our meal here! A super low key restaurant that opened very recently. The food was absolutely delicious! We got the beef stew and the short ribs - both were super tender with amazing flavour. The dish came with egg and cauliflower on the side, and the egg was insanely delicious. We absolutely cleaned our plates! The restaurant is very well decorated in a fashion I haven't ever seen in Waterloo, and just gives off a warm and cozy vibe. The owner is also really sweet and kind, and made us feel very welcome! Will definitely be a spot we'll return to! Ignore the poor reviews, it seems someone didn't realize they don't offer delivery (considering they only opened this week), and got all their friends to leave 1 star reviews.

Food is crazy cheap and crazy tasty. I feel like the owner is underselling the food because its just that good. And now it closes at 10:30, literally too goated, i would literally walk from waterloo campus just for circle food.
The environment in the store is very good, the ramen and fried chicken taste very good, and the lady boss is very gentle and thoughtful
I went to this restaurant about a year ago and ordered a shengjian bao, waited almost 40 minutes and ended up receiving food that was different sizes, not shengjian at all, just regular buns and very bad taste, and I left a one star bad review but no additional comments but the owner said that I have never been to this restaurant before. Wont be spending money again.

I had my birthday dinner at Circle Food last weekend. Fiona is extremely enthusiastic helped me out with creating my special dinner and within my budget. Food was tasty and the owner is great with decorating my dishes, suits perfectly in this cozy environment. I would give her an six out of five if I could. will definitely come back again.

The proprietress is super enthusiastic, the curry chicken is delicious , the tofu in the side dishes is delicious, and the ramen is also good. The prices for dine-in are particularly beautiful, and there are also super cute golden retriever dogs ! ! !

Ordered a takeout from here, and had a stomachache after I ate their food. Not to even mention the taste sucks, they have food safety issues as well, as I even found a disgusting BUG and some human HAIR!!! Already reported to the food safety department. Do NOT come here!!!!!

A must visit in the Waterloo area! Very comforting food with fresh ingredients. A new location that is a must visit for a delicious restaurant with a home cook feel. The food was amazing! I got the short ribs and I HIGHLY recommend. The ribs with the combination of the egg and rice was so flavourful and worked really well together. We also tried the beef stew and the meat was tender and the stew was rich and flavourful, a perfect pair with the rice. The restaurant is decorated really nicely inside and is very welcoming and cozy. It s a great location to sit down and enjoy really good food. The owner is very kind, super welcoming and really enjoys what she does.

Delete negative reviews. Thats awesome. You have nothing to do and say the customer is looking for trouble? How did your home stay open? You dont even eat a bite of your food, so you take a photo and leave a negative review? Is it okay to stir the rice? When other peoples rice is mixed, it doesnt look as disgusting as yours. Go bankrupt quickly. I wish you never make any money in your life.
It can only be said that it is outrageous. You dare to give rice to customers before it is cooked, and you also claim that your rice is good rice. Please tell me, do you have abnormal taste? The portions of meat and vegetables are very small, the taste is very average, and they are not punctual and the price is expensive. Unless you cant bear to think about it, dont come. Why are so many people cheating? 10 meals plus tax are 158. They have meat, eggs and vegetables. They taste good. I don t understand.
The boss is very nice, the ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are delicious! 5DMP is a regular customer with monthly subscription. I recommend it when I don t want to open fire or order takeout. It is really helpful to not have to worry about what to eat.
The seafood is pretty fresh and service is nice. I really like the marinade sauce for raw crab and shrimp.

Waterloos top quality beats all other Chinese and Western food in the plaza. The dishes are healthy and delicious. You can order the dishes in advance. The aunt is very nice and often cuts fruit for us after the meal.
I have tried dishes as well as combo, I love either one, if you have a small appetite then combo is the one to go. Combo has several ingredients come together. I read some reviews mentioning that it s pricy. If you give a try you will know that the food quality worth the price. As a Chinese I think the flavor is authentic and worth of trying.

Wonderful atmosphere, service, and food! The food wasn t as pricey as I expected from other reviews. The person who served us was very friendly, and gave us free dessert on the house (a new recipe she was trying out)! I got the shrimp & fish salad and found it really tasty, filling, and healthy/nutritious! I hope you give it a try honestly think this place deserves a higher rating. :)

Its very good. I came here to eat with my girlfriend. There were relatively few people in the store. The bosss service was very attentive and the food was delicious. A lot of dishes were also delivered. A satisfying lunch!
Pay no attention to the bad reviews. They probably went to the wrong restaurant, because this place is amazing. The food is definitely worth the wait, and the portions are HUGE! We were given some delicious soup while we waited, and some delicious fruit for dessert. Their steak dish was so tender, and their rice dishes were savoury. The interior is super warm and cozy, and the staff is friendly so this restaurant has a homey vibe. Great place to visit with friends, a date, and family. 100% recommended.

The flavor, the portion, the love, and the passion put into this dish was very well balanced . I also purchased a chinese iced tea and it was very nice and had a subtle sweetness. Although Circle Food is more expensive than other places, the ingredients are worth the cost. If you are to order takeout, I would recommend calling at least 30 minutes in advance. visit my students @ University of Waterloo before Thanksgiving, and the crawfish theyre delicious
We lucked out. We ordered seafood congee, and the chef had crab in her pantry that day, and that went into the dish. Favor was very bold, and portion was pretty generous, the 2-people sized congee was probably a 4-people sized dish It is a little on the expensive side, and service was a little slow, but food was so good and we are definitely coming back when we have a free evening
