Ham and swiss on rye bread with a salad but they didnt forget to put the cheese on. The waitress should have taken money off the bill but did not.

Good food, great service in a family run restaurant

Food is always good, service is fast and friendly. We have been going for years. Courtney is an amazing server and Chris the owner runs a tight ship. Lots of seating, food tastes great. Probably one of the most polite staff I ever met, all restaurants should set this as their standard.

Asked for medium rare stake, it felt like a medium well. Taste was ok. It was not bad, just nothing to write home about.

Excellent home made breakfast with a welcoming environment. Chris and his team always provide great food and service. Family owned and operated, they also offer catering.

We got seated right away. Waitress was polite. Got the pierogies with a caesar salad to start, a delicious start for 2 to share. Then came the homemade burgers with the typical fresh veggie toppings bacon and cheese- tasty and filling.

Great for breakfast and lunch. Nice staff. Lots of parking!

Great family restaurant! Good portions, fair prices, service was fast and friendly. They close at 2:00 on Sundays, we walked in at 1:00 and were told not a problem they served us anyway. We never felt rushed. Again, great place to eat!

Just a traditional great spot to eat. Its clean, modern, and easily accessible. The menu is simple and delicious and never disappoints. Ive eaten here too many times to count, and Ive honestly never had a meal where I didnt push myself away from the table saying, That was good! Almost every weekend when I do the dog pickup. Great place to eat, great staff.! Now I think Im a regular. Other regulars now notice the new regular.

Great breakfast or lunch spot. Chris runs a great operation and staggered always on point. Quick service, reasonable prices, good quality and quantity.

Classic diner. Literally said to my friends when we were last there that it was the fastest and best service Id ever had at a diner. Servers were genuinely impressive. Diner menu is pretty classic, but everything we had was well executed.

Okay club sandwich and burger. Pretty generic.

Been watching alot of Gilmore Girls, so I was craving a classic diner experience. Went here for lunch by myself like a weirdo and was not disappointed. Excellent burger and fries.

Lots of lettuce, less than half a can of tuna in a wrap. $15 for that! Is this supposed to be bubble tuna wrap (lots of air pockets no filling)? Or a lettuce wrap with a dash of tuna?

Me and my wife have been here a few times and each time we are greeted with a smile, promptly seated and had our order taken and food arrives quickly! Affordable too and taste great. This is what more restaurants should aspire too.

There is always something g good to eat and very generous portions. Staff is very efficient and quick to refill your coffee cup and ask if your good is as you requested it.

Really good food, nice portion size. Super friendly service. Took our kids and they really enjoyed it. The owner was super nice, he ran over as we were leaving to give the kids cookies to take with them, a very kind gesture.

Usually a busy spot, especially midday and I like to go for their breakfast. I really loved the Greek omelette packed with feta.

While having to be in Waterloo area 3-4 nights a week we had driven by before but never stopped by. We now regret all the times we have missed the opportunity to come here! The owner works super hard and is one of the nicest people we have met. Even on a night he is not working the restaurant himself the other waitresses and kitchen staff were just as great. The food is amazing, currently trying to order something new every time we go there. We have come in just as a couple; or with the whole family and the service is friendly, helpful and quick. I am never not amazed by how fast the food comes out. This place has now become one of our most visited restaurants when we want a break from cooking!

They have really improved the quality of their food and I love coming here with my friend for lunch. The atmosphere is happy and bustling. Those girls serving and taking care of customers are amazing and deserve a raise!

We recently moved to the neighborhood and found this place on our walk. It has become our go to breakfast restaurant in the area. We came to find out that this place has been around for a while and seems to be a very popular spot considering it is usually busy on the weekends. The food is always great and the service is excellent. The prices are what you would come to expect from similar restaurants. Highly recommend.

Best breakfast Ever!

Love the Daily Grill for brunch with my girlfriends or my family. The service is top notch and they always try to make you feel like family. The food is consistent and reasonable with lots of great options for kids. My only complaint is that theyre at the far end of Waterloo from me! But when I can make it there, I certainly do.

The owner takes care of us every time. Over Christmas, he treated our girls to a free sundae, and hooked daddy up with a free slice of Coconut Cream Pie. We love supporting a local business.

Went with family before an event nearby. The place isnt huge, but the staff are extremely kind. The food was good, with sizable portions, and the server went above and beyond to make us happy all the way to dessert. I absolutely will be returning next time I am in town.

Food was fantastic and very fast!

I have been going to the Daily Grill for a number of years for breakfast and the one thing that is a constant is the service. It is always wonderful. It s such a positive, funny, warm atmosphere. If you haven t been, try it. PS. The breakfast itself is also fantastic, but in todays world it s the people/service that are the difference.

The food was fantastic. There were lots of customers, but no wait was required. We were given our choice of where to sit and as soon as we sat we were given a new nice clean menu. The service was excellent, but not rushed. I would go there again. Parking: Lots of parking spaces. Kid-friendliness: There were children there, but not noisy or annoying.

A weekly breakfast staple for me! Extremely friendly staff, clean and well cared for, great service, and your food always comes out tasty and quick! An amazing family-owned restaurant that truly cares for its customers.

Breakfast wrap was very soggy. Western sandwich had fishy taste. Home fries very dry. Will not return.

Great home cooking

Mike and I visited Daily Grill again today , and of course we enjoyed once again the food ( we had their banquet burger ) was delicious! The customer service and the owner of this restaurant are truly amazing , the environment brings such warmth seeing everyone that works there smiling ,kind and interacting with the customers! The owner is a very kind , friendly man whom loves sports and loves to joke with customers! We will be back !

This is a diner and they deliver everything you expect from a diner. Good food, decent portions and a lively hometown atmosphere. Youre greeted at the door and have never waitedfor a seat. And the coffee just keeps coming. Service is very good too.

In my opinion, doesn t deserve the full 3 stars. Should be more like a 2.5. Overall experience was fine, stopped in here on my way through town. Place was not busy at the time I came as seen in the empty seats photo, yet the two servers were running around like other people had called in sick and it was the busiest day of the week. Flying through the place for no reason, getting a whole lot of nothing really done. Service was quick once at my table, I ordered immediately asking for the most popular breakfast plate and was given what was shown in the photos. Toast is toast, sausages were decent, eggs overdone and bland, potato hashbrowns were flavourless without salt and pepper. After receiving my meal, I was not asked once if everything was okay (it wasn t), or if I needed anything more (I did) until I got to the end and my plate was clear. It then also took an extended period of time for my server to come back and inquire about the bill, again the place had maybe 3-4 other active tables inside while I was there between two servers and what appeared to be an owner or manager. The open side of the restaurant kitchen/server area by the chalk board menus could be cleaned up/organized more so it s less of an eye sore to customers that happen to be in eye view of it. Overall, it was convenient to stop here while I was in the area, the food filled my belly for the morning, servers could use some better training. Would probably not return here myself unless it was a last resort type of thing, you d be better off driving the few mins down the road to get better menu items or variety somewhere else.

Great food and service. We searched for a restaurant that had a good breakfast. Went to many places, only to find them over priced and with few customers. Daily Grill sets the standard! Great food, great servers and reasonable prices. Dont waste your time looking for a place to go...these owners know what they are doing and a full restaurant while others are struggling says it all!

My mother and I and a friend went there because we wanted breakfast at lunch and the Sunset Grill was closed. Unfortunately my bacon was burnt and uncooked all at once like deep fried and the round line potatoes were just loaded with grease all the way through and not edible. My friend had a cheese omlette and was disappointed it was not veery cheesy especially when that was the only ingredient being a vegetarian. The skillet on the other hand was quite good and hearty. Our waitress was polite and friendly. The restaurant feel is more like an evening place with a touch of sports feel not dining, lots of booths.

I have been going to this restaurant since 1999. The same great food and service. Chris puts the family in this restaurant. Love the breakfasts and coffee. Dinner souvlaki is tops.

Im sorry I didnt take a photo of my Philly Cheese Steak. It was delicious and I was hungry. The service was quick, friendly and professional. Ask the manager if you have any questions about current sports. He seems to know his stuff. Prices are reasonable and I have never had a disappointing meal.

First time in Toronto, checked out this place and I have nothing but good things to say. The service was phenomenal and the food was unreal. Honestly better food and service then anything i ve experienced in Calgary. Definitely coming back again when I m in town.

Great spot to relax and have some great food

My husband and I discovered this restaurant recently. The atmosphere there is great. The (I assume owner, or at the very least manager) was there both times we visited sitting at or behind the bar, and greets everyone like they were a regular...but it seems a lot of them were. He joked around with people like they were best buds, and it was great to see. The servers all are pleasant, and full of smiles for everyone, even if you arent their table. The menu is pretty simple but had great variety with reasonable prices. The food came to us hot, well portioned, and tasted good. Definitely gave a home-cooked meal feel. We found the gravy a little salty, but personally, I liked it that way...hubby not so much. We will likely return, because theres much more on that menu (and special features) wed love to try.

Weve tried a bunch of different places in the K-W area and we just keep coming back to the Daily Grill for their breakfast as no one else does it better. They have the best home fries and every meal is perfectly made. Weve even tried lunch there a couple of times and everything us consistently good. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu as well as crayons to draw on said menu.

The bacon and egg breakfast was absolutely perfect. Plus the added bonus of a clean environment with fast and friendly service. Thank-you Daily Grill!

Great service and staff. Excellent food

My husband and I took our toddler there for the first time and it was amazing. We were seated quickly, tables were clean the food was great! The owner/manager? He brought over a high chair for our son and wiped it down for us which was so thoughtful and i really appreciated it. We will be back.

The Greek omelet was fantastic. The coffee...not so much.

Waitress was awesome! Very attentive and friendly. Eggs, rye toast and polish sausage good. Home fries were from frozen--much prefer real home fries, but these were passable.
