Never disappoint! The banquet noodles and oden soup here are delicious. The new Yukhoe Bibimbap came out and it was crazy.

The staff are always friendly. The food and the side dishes is always good. I especially like their doenjang jjiage!

Amazing food! Non-existent service. After our food came out, we werent checked on once in the almost 2 hours we were there. We needed stuff but no one was even around to flag down, until someone came by for us to pay. But the food is really great!

A total gem Uptown! What an experience! The decor is top notch, service is attentive, helpful and friendly and the side dishes are high quality and super delicious!

Food was ok. But the value not worth the price. Might as well go all you can korean bbq. Likely will not be back.

You must order at least two meat cuts per table and minimum one per person to turn on the grill (about 25 dollars each). Very fair price considering the number of side dishes you get for that, including soup , vegetables , eggs , noodles etc. We were a little disappointment by our chosen pork meat, which was not very exciting. We recommend the marinated beef.

Wow!!! This place is absolutely fantastic. It was my first Korean bbq experience, and it did not disappoint. The server was very helpful explaining everything and telling us what we should order and how to do it. Meat was fantastic quality, and all the side dishes were fresh and flavourful. I will absolutely be back!

It was definitely delicious when it first came out... but the kimchi rolled noodles have no taste at all... and the quality of the meat is really cheap... If you lose your original intention like this, youll be ruined, but I guess the owner is wasting his money.

Went to this place for the first time because it was recommended to me by a friend and the reviews looked good. My friends and I were all very disappointed with the food quality. Nothing had enough flavor. We ordered the pork belly and the beef tenderloin - both were very tough and hard to eat no matter how cooked it was - Im also not sure it was real tenderloin. We ordered the tofu seafood soup as well and it had no flavor and was not particularly enjoyable - we complained about the taste (which we never EVER do at restaurants) and they would not take it back. Definitely way to pricey for the quality. The restaurant was also very cold. Will not be going back.

Came here for a birthday dinner and had a great time. For an a la carte restaurant the value was really good. We tried a variety of menu items including the Wagyu ribeye which was really good. If you havent had Korean BBQ before I wouldnt suggest starting with a place like this but if youre familiar with this style of restaurant and know your tastes youll have a great time.

The cold noodles are just AMAZING! We LOVE EVERYTHING!!! Definitely will come back!! But the only thing is we don t know where can we park the car

As a Korean, I am sure that this place is an authentic Korean barbecue restaurant. Its side dishes and soybean paste stew are the real taste of Korea. The interior of this restaurant brings back memories of old Korean streets. I almost cried when I saw the sight of Korea, which I miss as a Korean. The side dishes are refilled and the price of the meat is similar to the price of Korea. I would like to compliment the owner of this place for showing the authentic taste of Korea as it is in Korea without compromising with fusion.

Super delicious Korean BBQ in downtown Waterloo - definitely a fun and interesting experience everyone should try at least once! We tried several of the beef options - boneless short rib, hanging tender, and rib finger meat. Personally I preferred the marinated options. Love the presentation with the corn cheese. And great banchan. All around good restaurant definitely worth a visit.

People who give high stars are prob all foreigners who have never been to Korea or tried authentic Korean food. This place is very nice for its atmosphere but it s WAY OVER PRICED for everything. For the same price, you can get 3 times the portion at different Korean BBQ places. Please don t think that this is an authentic Korean restaurant because it isn t. If you wanna know, I can tell you good alternatives.

I really like the meat quality provided here. However, during summer time, it is super hot inside, the AC doesn t seem to be working properly.

Food and service was excellent and fast. Prices werent unreasonable.

I happened to stop by while looking for a Korean restaurant. There are a lot of Korean employees, especially the one who wears glasses, and they are really friendly. All side dishes and soybean paste stew are refillable, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants. Have a good meal~ 100% intention to visit again

Had a suppperrrr delicious dinner here, drove by on the way to another restaurant and decided to do this instead. It was hot outside, and no like no AC inside (maybe not true since I was already dying from the heat) but once you adjust irs not too bad even with the grill on. But it was totally worth a little sweat because the food was DELICIOUS !! and a cool experience for first timers. Our server was really nice and sxplained rhe set up well, and we were also pffered extra side dishes whixh was amazing because the glass noodles were to die for! The corn cheese was unique ans tasty, ans the kimchi was also bomb. You have to.get a minimum of 2 meats, which for two of us was well enough with all the sides. Even if we got a third, the total coat still woildnt have been twrrible considering all the food we had ! Stoked to have a BBQ place so close to home. Cant wait to go back for more (but with my little hand fan in tow :))

My experience here was unmatched! The staff were quick, friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. The price was very reasonable, especially considering all the free sides included, and the quality of the food was top tier (and as Chef/Master of My Own Destiny; cooked to perfection, might I add). The atmosphere was unique, immersive, and very fun! Definitely recommend grabbing a couple friends and trying it for yourself! 400/10

we had a good experience on food and atmosphere there unfortunately there is one part i wasn t happy about for service, since we sit at very back and at corner , so the waiter couldn t help us soon when we need something beside that, all thing r great i would like to go back again for dining

I heard there was good vegetarian options. Only one option, the veggies came unseasoned and the size of my head. They immediately used beef to grease the pan. If you have vegetarian guests i don t. recommend, as they have to wait to dine with you. Vegetarians are treated as second class citizens. Vegetarian options: Not good. I had an amazing time at Daldongnae Korean BBQ! The atmosphere was warm and authentic. The staff was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was the star of the show. The meats were fresh, tasty, and grilled right at our table. The side dishes were great too, adding nice variety to the meal Service was quick, and the staff knew the menu well. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Overall, it s a fantastic place for Korean BBQ. Highly recommend it! I ll be back soon!

Wonderful experience each and every time we visit!

We had a reservation for 8 on a Wednesday night and it was not very busy. The cuts of meat were all great, though I didnt really like the thin cut pork, but it was impressively thin! The cheese corn, kimchi, egg, and other free side dishes were a nice addition. We didnt order very much but the price was very reasonable, amounting to around $25 per person. My only other complaint is that the table was cramped, so there ran out of space for everything and it felt tight.

Having gone to several Korean BBQ restaurants in the states, and having such a great experience. I decided to bring my family and share this experience with them for our anniversary. This was by far the worst Korean BBq experience. The meat is overpriced, there is no marinade or seasoning on the meat, I ended up burning my hand because they put so much oil in the corn on the highest heat I ended up leaving with a nice burn welt to remind me of this bad experience. We spent so much money and ended up coming home hungry and went to Harvey s for actual flavourful meat. I could have bought 6 times the meat at Costco and bbq d it in my backyard were I wouldn t feel overheated, smell like burnt food and wouldn t burn my hands. I do not recommend this place I would never come here again, I wasted my time and money. A horrible experience.

It was absolutely amazing and the food and service were all top notch, I will definitely come back again!

The food was good. Grilled meat and veggies with several dipping sauces, which were tasty. The pumpkin side dish was really good. Always enjoy when something complimentary is tasty and not just a throw away. I cant usually take too much heat/spice, but there was enough variety that it wasnt an issue. Service was also pleasant and quick. They took the time to explain how the process worked. The restaurant was clean. Love the fact that the lunch menu is available until 5pm, which gives an extra option for patrons that cant eat a lot. Will go back again.

We had an amazing experience here last night. The four of us were Korean BBQ newcomers so it was a little intimidating to start. Our server was absolutely amazing - explaining everything to us. Super patient, great recommendations and he made us feel comfortable and at home. The food was fantastic and the service quick. To top it off the value was excellent! Cant recommend highly enough. They also accommodated my vegetarian wife. Vegetarian options: Cold noodle salad - very good

Awesome place, more affordable than all you can eat Korean barbecue because you buy one serving of meat per person and you usually feel satisfied. So many variety of side dishes, loved that they have the glass noodles, they are delicious. The service was great here and very prompt, checking in often.

We loved our meal here. Weve been waiting for this restaurant for a long time. Mi our server was great and took care of us. They checked a few times to make sure our dishes were refilled. Loved their pickled cucumber! We got two orders of beef!

I took my daughter out for dinner- party of 2. I did not realize the scam until I got home. The server handed me the credit card machine with the bill entered WITH a 15% tip included. Automatic tip inclusion should not be done for a party of just 2 people! If this was large group I can understand. The server never advised that she has already added the tip, and so I selected 20% as my tip when prompted by the machine. Then she only hands me the credit card receipt. I had to ask for the itemized receipt, but in a rush just threw this in my purse until I got home. This was a scam to get more tip from unsuspecting customers. Beware if you dine at this restaurant and the deception. I will personally never go back.

The service is top notch. I dropped a cup once, leaned down to grab it, and when I came back up, a server had another one ready to hand me. Meats are high quality, I love all the sides that come with the table as well.

WOW. I brought my team here as a reward lunch and was totally blown away with the experience! Absolutely the best team building lunch ever!! You bond together as you BBQ your meal at the table. Food was beyond amazing. I would give six stars out of five. Parking: depending on time of day

The food was delicious. We tried the pork and beef rib eye which tasted so good. The Melona soju was yummy.

Overall experience at Daldongnae is fantastic every visit! The food all tastes great, fresh cucumber salad, creamy corn cheese and fluffy eggs all come alongside your dishes of choice. The pumpkin salad is creamy and delightful as well. All sides are refillable and the amazing servers do a great job every time checking in to see if you need anything! Our server Kim is a familiar face and always does his best to provide excellent customer service. Would recommend you to come try it out!!! And I will be returning again soon :))))

It was my birthday, and my mothers, so I took my family here for dinner on April 8th, and it was the best experience! The best food, atmosphere, and the service and employees were amazing!

Had a great time at this Waterloo branch. Ordered 6 meats for our group of 4. 2x thick pork belly, beef bonekess short rib, beef hanging tender, beef chuck steak. All were high quality and juicy. Our server Kim was excellent and provided us with side dish refills and changed our grill 3x Parking: Waterloo Public has paid parking and free parking (time dependent)

Absolutely amazing. We picked this spot at random on a Friday night. No reservation and they were busy but they seated us right away. The staff were all extremely friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We went out as 2 couples for supper. We were cooking, laughing and having a great time trying something outside of our comfort zone. Id have to say we have found a new place to add to our repertoire of nights out! It was a fantastic experience, with great service and amazingly delicious food! Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to seafood and shellfish. The server pointed out everything that I wouldnt be able to eat and made sure it was put on the opposite side of the table. That made me feel safe and everyone at the table had a good time.
