We recently hosted a work Christmas party and we couldn’t be more pleased how everything turned out! From the moment guests arrived, Karolina greeted everyone with a warm smile and made everyone feel right at home. Karolina was incredibly friendly and so attentive, ensuring each guest had everything they needed. Karolina even went above and beyond by helping with some last minute details we had forgotten. Her positive attitude was contagious and professionalism really stood out, making our evening enjoyable. We received so many compliments about how wonderful the event was and we truly couldn’t have done it without Karolina’s help. If you’re considering hosting an event, I highly recommend Karolina for an stress-free and memorable experience. She truly made the night unforgettable!
We visited this past Saturday evening - A great choice for a night out, despite a few small drawbacks. Be ready for a wait of 30-60 minutes for a table, which can be a bit frustrating when there are several empty tables while a line of people is waiting. However, once seated, our server was attentive and super friendly—big thanks to Lauren S! We’ve learned to keep our expectations in check when it comes to the food, and as long as you do the same, you won’t leave disappointed.
My family and I went to dinner last night and unfortunately had a bad experience. We were seated quickly, but were not seen for at least 10 minutes after we sat down. My parents got there about 10 minutes after us and that is when our waiter came. He took our drink order, came right back asking if we were ready to order - since my parents had just gotten there we asked if he could come back so we could look at the menu. He was busy running around and did not come back until around 15 minutes later to take our order. As other tables started to get their food, my dad decided to go talk to the manager and advise his staff was busy and clearly needed help. Another waitress knew exactly what he was talking about and agreed her colleague needed assistance, but the manager refused to even apologize for the wait or any concerns with staffing. I have worked in restaurants before and can say this was not the appropriate response. The manager also did not help bring food out (which is normally what happens when restaurants are busy), he was just walking around chatting people up while his staff scrambled to tend to their customers. Our food came out shortly after that. My dad's pizza was undercooked and my husbands spaghetti was crunchy. We looked around and saw everybody that had ordered the spaghetti barley ate their meal, many also were not taking any of their leftover spaghetti home (leaving entire bowls). Our server was busy and unable to visit us while we were eating, leaving drinks empty and us unable to advise on the quality of food. When he did come by, I advised of the concerns with the pasta so that the kitchen could know (not expecting anything free out of this - just wanted them to know about the issue). Our waiter offered a free dessert, at this time we had been there for two hours and were ready to leave. On the way out, my dad stopped to talk to the manager and advise him about the poor service (we do not blame our server and still tipped him, we blame the manger for not getting him help when it was clear it was needed). He also mentioned the pasta issue and the manager refused to admit anything could possibly be wrong with the food. He took no accountability for the poor experience and essentially just brushed my dad's complaint away. We will not be eating here again and will certainly be letting people know of our poor experience. I feel bad for staff having to deal with such a bad manager.
I just wanted to take a moment to share how amazing our waitress Lauren was during our visit. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she offered great recommendations that truly enhanced our dining experience. Throughout the meal, Lauren was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our drinks were always filled and checking in on us at just the right times. Her friendly demeanor and genuine care for our satisfaction made the evening unforgettable. I highly recommend requesting her if you're ever at east sides—she really made our night special!
They were short-staffed, which was quite frustrating as we had chosen the all-you-can-eat option. Unfortunately, they weren't visiting our table frequently, leaving us constantly having to ask for the next soup or salad.
Had a dinner outing at East Side Mario's and it turned out to be a delightful experience! The highlight of the meal was definitely the Canadian calzones, which I highly recommend to anyone visiting. The flavors were spot on, and it's a dish I would go back for. The cleanliness of the restaurant also added to the pleasant atmosphere, making our dining experience more comfortable. However, the service did have room for improvement. After serving our food, our server seemed to vanish for about 30 minutes, leaving us a bit stranded. We eventually had to ask another server for assistance. While this didn't ruin our evening, prompter service would have made it better. Despite the service hiccup, I still find East Side Mario's to be a solid choice for a good meal. Four stars for the great food and overall experience!
It was our first time dining at East Side Mario’s and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was: the unlimited bread, salad/soup was phenomenal. We had most of our pasta leftover and took it home! Our kids devoured the cheese tortellini and a pizza for just $2 each because it was Tuesday- unbelievable value! It is a great place to bring your family, kids are most definitely welcome, and all of the servers were really nice and very helpful. Allergen advice: they have a completely Peanut free menu also, which is very reassuring as our child has a peanut allergy.
Absolutely phenomenal My son and I tried the bacon potato soup and i had the jumbo shrimp alfredo Hubby had the chicken parm. 10/10 staff was very pleasant to be around and atmosphere was just as good all in all everything was amazing.
Disappointing is an understatement, especially when this used to be a go to for us. The only positive was our kind and friendly waitress. First of all, there was no designated hostess so it took us 15 minutes to get a table because there was no staff up front. Secondly, it was extremely loud, on top of the restaurant having lots of people in it, they decided to have the music be obnoxiously loud that I had to almost shout for my fiancé to hear me across the table. Third, the food not good. Portions were outrageously small and so bland. Caesar salad had barely any dressing, main dish had huge chunks of mushrooms (usually small as I ve gotten the dish before) and pasta was undercooked. Pasta was also undercooked in my fiancés dish. For the price you pay I d expect more. Quite expensive for the lack of food and flavour.
Had the delicious Chicken Parm Hero sandwich last night, and were super refreshed by Jelenas friendly and efficient service. Will come again!

Our server, May, was fantastic. It took forever to get bread because it wasnt baked and the food was not great. The washrooms were a disgrace. Not planning on visiting East Side Marios again. The star is for our server.
Disappointing experience! Work Christmas Party, given five set menu options, weeks in advance, which were chosen right away. The server tried, but she had no support! The food was displayed before we arrived, not covered. It was cold, one candle for two large tubs of food. The drinks werent refilled until the end of the meal. The restaurant was dirty, the washrooms were not sanitary (no toliet paper, ane sinks and counters were dirty), and the stairs were not safe as the rails were not fastened to the walls, properly. Many people had bad reactions to the food. Will not return!

One waitress brought us bread and apologized as we were waiting 15min with our menus closed and no one took even our drink orders yet. She said a waitress would be right with us. Waited another 10min and walked out. It wasn t even that busy. We got there at 11:58. Will not be going back.
If there was a zero star option, I definitely would put it there, especially for the manager treating my guest and I to negative service and being proud about it. To the manager whos going to read this... Keep in mind, your career will be erased like the staff that you usually replace. The only difference between you and the servers, along with the cooks is that you just get paid more. Enjoy your survival job, let alone relying on a superior paying your paycheck bud. To the owner... Its more of a personal issue with your manager than with us, need I advise (if you can read English), to tell your manager to leave his personal issues at home because he was unprofessional to my friend and I when we complained about a food health matter (we didnt even touch the dish after that happened). So go ahead, flag the review, I will be reporting this the Cdn Food Inspection Agency. P.S... Nothing personal.
Cleanliness is NOT a priority at this restaurant! My grandsons Pokeman cards STUCK to the tabletop, the downstairs Ladies bathroom I used was dark, dirty, no TP in first stall, 2nd one had TP but was signed as out of service and stunk. Sinks dirty and no paper towels in dispenser. I have dropped my kids off here before but this was my first time inside. Food and service ok, very noisy atmosphere - disgusting bathroom.
It was a restaurant I passed by when I went to Conestoga Mall, but when I went in, there were a lot of people. We sat on the terrace, but it was good because there was no one on the terrace. The food was so much better than I expected. I should have come here a long time ago;;;; Pizza, bread, and soup were all delicious, but I think Korea makes pasta the best other than Italy.
Theres a lot to tell sorry 10 min to be greeted, Cleared table to seat us, but used a dry rag (no cleaner/Quaternaty spray) to clean table leaving it sticky Took side plates from another table and gave them to us. 4 out of the 5 had crumbs or other residue (pasta sauce I guess) on them. Took 10 min for our drink order to be taken with first greating from our waitress. After coming back with our drinks after an excessive amount of time which for sodas and a coffee shouldnt have taken that long. By the way the coffee came first and then minutes later the rest of the drinks came. Food took a while but thats to be understood due to the time we arrived. When you have a shift change I understand that your kitchen will be short staffed with 2 to 3 people running the line. Salads took an approximately 15 minutes. Which is unusual considering its a standard item. Asked for a refill on the salad never got it. During this bedtime got lots of opportunities to watch how the restaurant was functioning. Staff was going home with dirty tables not being cleared. In fact there was a dirty table in the bar corner with a half loaf of bread on it and multiple plates that sat there from the time we arrived to the time we left. Which in total was approximately 2+ hours due to the service. Also watched as parties come in they were never directed to a clean table. They only use dirty tables cleared them off same guy using same dry towel to wipe everything off. By the end of the service they asked if my dad needed a refill on his coffee and he just wanted the bill. He was disgusted to the point he didnt even eat his meal because he saw the cleaning standards in the restaurant and thought that could carry over into the kitchen. After receiving the bill it was put on the table and left without instruction on how to pay so I directed my father to pay at the bar. Overall a poor experience. I love the franchise but this one needs to be managed better. Wheelchair accessibility: Front door has a button but the lobby door either doesnt or is hard to find

We wont be going ever again. Food was so terrible. We ordered Hells Kitchen, and chicken was so badly cooked or quality of chicken was so bad that you cant even cut it. Another which my son ordered was Chicken Parm pasta also wasnt done well. I used to go often with my kids, but now the food quality as well as the service has gone down so much. Never ever again!!

Eastside Marios is a great family friendly place, to enjoy a home cooked meal. The prices are a bit high but with rising food costs, I can understand why. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a variety of food choices but there have been a few times where the bread and pasta, have been mid. Overall, I would recommend!
They have a robot to deliver plates to the table! I love it!

Absolutely WILD experience with a manager at this location. The bar server was over worked and the service was non existent. Like literally non existent. I asked to talk with the manager after finishing and explained the experience. Over worked bar service = under serviced customers. Before I leave a review (did not mention positive or negative), I asked if he wanted a chance to make it right and further discuss/explain how things went so south. Again, I explained no fault of the lady at the bar, just a mis-managed night (hence asking to speak with the manager). His immediate response was this is extortion pay your bill I already REMOVED the TIP. Why in the world would you do that!? You mismanaged your restaurant and now the staff have to pay for it? This was a deplorable solution and he refused to put the tip option back on after I asked him to. Obviously, I passed a cash tip for the service directly to the waitress after this interaction. And over 20% because I respect the pressure on her all evening. It was not her fault her evening wasn t managed properly. Probably the most uncomfortable discussion (or lack thereof) I have had with the owner of any establishment. And easily the worst result (for customer and owner). We won t be back here again. I would love a chance to speak with their Regional manager and have a two way discussion.

5 stars goes to our sever tonight working the bar area of the restaurant. You can tell there is a huge change over with staff and management and the way its ran, which is disappointing as this is my kids favorite restaurant but when we are waiting over an hour for food cause youre majorly under staffed and running one server off her feet... Its unfair to put so much on one person and nowadays people need there jobs and will bend over backwards to pull there weight. This girl deserves a raise and so much recognition, definitely something I did not see her getting. If youre reading this keep up the great work. I couldnt imagine the stress you are taking on but you are doing an incredible job

We just ate out at East Side Marios in Waterloo and had a wonderful experience. Caitlynn our server was friendly and accommodating and checked in regularly to make sure we were good. The facilities were clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. 100% would recommend. We ve been before and have never had any issues.
Food OK, service efficient environment a little noisy
Recently went for lunch with the family to celebrate a birthday. We had a nice experience this summer but this time was completely different. The place was so understaffed for a Sunday yet in the place there were very few patrons and still could not keep up. All the tables were sticky. Our waitress was trying here best but obviously could not keep up because of lack of staff. Our meals took forever and the kids meals came last. Our pizzas were cold. We ordered a wrap without sauce and had to reorder as it came with sauce. Eventually the cook had to bring it out. After looking at the bill after we got home we got charged for the extra incorrect wrap. We never mentioned the birthday knowing that would have been a disaster. It was a sad experience over all. Never again unfortunately. I called customer service and they said they would email me to rectify the bill. I am still waiting. What a sad experience since it used to be a great go to place for a fun family dinner . Now it is a sad ,dirty, empty place.

Had another terrible experience today, after the last couple of times where the food has been progressively worse. Today, I asked to be seated in a booth, when there were around 6 available. The manager on duty said table only. Stunned, I voted with my wallet and left to go have a better meal at wildcraft for a similar price.
Rude person answering the phone. Could be way nicer if someone calls asking for a reservation. If you can t do it, fine. But could be nicer about. Won t be back. Clearly not run very well if it took 4 calls to answer the phone and if the person felt the need to be rude.

Food was great, and the staff was amazing!! Just the restaurant seemed to be very loud. It was a bit difficult to carry on a conversation at my table... it was not the restaurant fault... just really loud with other people chatting, dish and cutlery background noise.... just wondering how other places keep this type of volume lower than this location? Overall, still loved it and will be back!

Just had lunch here for the first time in years, and man, what a good call! Quick service, great food, and a fun and inviting atmosphere that cant be beat! My server and bartender Emily was one of the most positive and happy parts of my day. After just one conversation, I feel like Ive known her for years!

do not go here. Came in for my reservation at 5:00pm.. waited 20 mins for a server to come take my order because apparently my server was running late ( as a server myself.. IVE NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN) While sitting at my table i noticed it wasn t even clean there was wrappers, dirty cutlery and plates all covered with food.. I don t think the cutlery was polished. finally a girl came to take my order and my originally late server arrived 10 mins later. this place is just dirty.. i tried to give them a chance but came back weeks later waiting to be seated because none of the tables had been cleaned off.. i sat in a dining room surrounded by empty messy tables
Normally we eat-in and I love everything about it. I was at work late one day last week and ordered takeout. The woman who took my order wouldn t even give me a ballpark before trying to hang up, and then proceeded to say thank you for choosing Swiss Chalet! before hanging up. Our driver (delivered by Door Dash as arranged by ESM, not my choice) arrived about 70 minutes later to the university campus I was having the food delivered, and called me. Unclear to understand only that they were probably on the other side of campus. We exchanged phone calls about 6 times and I kept asking him where he was because I would come to him. He kept saying he would figure it out, and then would hang up on me and not call back. He eventually showed up *on a bicycle*. Our meals were cold and tasted like cardboard. Three crappy meals for $100. I am never getting delivery from ESM again.

The food is quite average. If you have any cooking sense at all and can read a recipe, youll certainly be able to make much better (real) Italian food at home. They forgot bacon on 3/4 salads, we had to ask 3 times for cutlery and twice for napkins. The chicken parm looked like it had come straight out of the microwave too.
Came here a couple days ago with my daughter. The food was good and my daughter loved the bread. Me and my daughter absolutely adored our server, Kea who had great service and was very friendly. My daughter is still talking about her today hoping we can come back soon!
Good food, reasonable price, great service. Even though they do not have enough people work on weekends they are still trying their best to provide good service and being nice. Today my husband and I went to another restaurant called Brown Donkatsu, the waitress treated us very rude. My husband and I got very offended so we went to this restaurant. Completely different service here. We will definitely come back here again.

Where are all the staff? Went there yesterday afternoon Huge backup due to hostess being away from the front to help the completely overwhelmed servers. There were only 3 servers and tons of customers so the hostess and manager were both helping serve food. Our order got bumped which made us wait longer for our food. The server we had was really nice and understanding, the manager gave us 20% off our meal for the wait. Atmosphere was significantly worse than normal because staff seemed stressed as soon as they walked away from customers due to lack of support Whoever is scheduling needs to put more staff on.
Went in with a larger group. Pros: they sat us in a private room and had one dedicated server, kids meals were on special, and they had fun kid drinks that were fairly affordable Cons: had to ask multiple times for more bread, soup, and salad (theyd bring one or 2 loaves at a time for our group of 16), bunless burger was served burnt and without lettuce or anything else to wrap the burger in, and drinks were $$$ A fun experience for our international guests but not worth returning. I have been coming here for years and yesterdays was by far the worst. Coffe spoons with the soup. Butter knives to cut the bread, omg. Entrees were not appetizing this visit. Food is now less than before. Our previous server from over a year ago Caitlyn has finally returned and she gave the best service to us and did do a lot more for us than most would do. Always friendly and patient with her tables and never felt rushed. I am not sure whats happening at this location in regards to the food but not liking it at all. Get back to how it was. Very disapointing with the food this visit.
This is the worlds largest and now also the worlds worst East Side Marios. I dont know what the hell happened to it. I went here this year around Valentines day and it was perfectly servicable but now I go there again yesterday and its the worse experience of my life. The food took forever to get there and we ended up getting the main dish before the soup, salad, and bread. The wait staff and cooks all seemed stressed as hell from being understaffed so nobody was having a good time. I would have rather took the 40 dollars and flushed it down the toilet then spent it here. Also I had pretty bad diarrhea the next day after eating here so avoid if you got a weak stomach. Just close this place down already or hire more people.

I always love to eat at East side Marios this time was a lot worse as the tables werent properly cleaned or took a bit to take our order, it wasnt our waiters fault it was the manger for putting everyone in his section as I as open tables yet still went into his section. Parking: Lots of open parking one below and above very easy to find spots Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu colouring mats and would be very kid friendly

Its a shame this location has gone downhill. Our family enjoyed going there but well be going to Ennios from now on. Last visit was bad from beginning to end. On top of slow service and terrible food we were surrounded by 4 tables filled with dishes. Our server wouldnt even bus our own table so we just kept piling our dishes on the tables around us. So was another family. Not one employee stopped to clean them as they passed them with empty hands. Additional, I had to keep reminded our server of items we needed - side plates, napkins, cutlery, refills, etc. I wanted to share the experience with a manager but after waiting 15 minutes to speak to one we left. The other family in our area agreed with us that it would be their last visit as well. There is a severe lack of management and standards at this location. But there are many options for much better quality and service at the same price.
We always come here as a family but tonight our server was amazing. Very very good service from Gwen ! she knew the menu very well and was super attentive and overall just provided every aspect of service I would expect when our for dinner. Thank you to Gwen !
Ordered the all you can eat soup salad and garlic home loaf but beware that it s not actually all you can eat. We ordered 3 rounds of soup and salad but they then said that they ran out of lettuce for the salad to stop us from ordering more. We saw them preparing salad with a large container of lettuce in the kitchen as we walked to the washrooms. When we confronted the waitress she said that the kitchen ran out of lettuce and that someone was getting it from Whole Foods. The nearest Whole Foods was in Oakville an hour away! I also don t believe that East Side Mario s gets their ingredients from Whole Foods especially when No Frills was next door. Food was acceptable for the price and service was good at first but we were disappointed with the AYCE ordeal.
Awful customer service today. We went in there for lunch today, and when we walked in there was hardly anyone eating there, and we waited for almost 30 mins at our table and we still had not even been asked if we wanted a drink yet. My partner then went inside to the bar to ask if we were going to have someone take our order, and he still wasn t served and had to go directly to the cooks window and ask if we were going to be served anytime soon and they said soon and we proceeded to wait longer. Our lunch resulted in us not having lunch today because we walked out after 40 mins. Garbage service.
Been going there for over 10 years never been so disappointed understaffed, and waitresses asking owner for help and he said he couldnt help her. Waitresses were doing a good job, wasnt impressed with ownership over 20 groups complained when I was there, I complained and he never even gave me a discount. Will be calling corporate due to how the owner treated his staff. One waitress was yelling at the owner and saying close the restaurant as there werent enough waitresses.
Went there on Monday night and service was awesome, no wait time to get a table. I ordered the Chicken Parm sandwich and it was over cooked, hard and flavourless. Will go back but will just order something different.
Our server was kind, positive and did a great job, we realize she is at the mercy of the bar and kitchen. We got bread 17 minutes after getting seating, our drinks 9 minutes after that. The food came with such hot plates we couldnt touch them, including 2 childrens plates. All of this was forgiven, I just wanted to have a nice night with my family. It was the washroom voost that destroyed all hope of ever returning. My husbands earlier trip included a full toilet and no toilet paper for my son to use in the stall. My experience involved using the accesible stall in the womens washroom. Upon sitting down, the toilet seat slide off the bowl and I crashed to the floor, the seat was not attached at all!! I immediately went to find the manager. I explained what happened, and he had no idea what to do. He said he would close it, great... I asked if there was a form I needed to complete for the fall. He told me to wait just a moment. 14 minutes went by, I went back to the washroom to ensure it was closed, it was not. He then appeared with a form he was completely unfamiliar with. I completed it for him. I was absoluty disgusted. It should be stated, we only went tonight as we had a be my guest card for a previous negative experience, and we wanted to give them another chance. We are just in shock of how this place is still operating. Be wary, there are better, cleaner places to eat. I truly feel for the staff that work there. That manager was not equipped to handle something as easy as a fall, or locking a stall to prevent further injury. A business is only as strong as its leaders.
This was the worst service we ve ever had at any restaurant hands down. First we waited 40 minutes to be seated. But then we waited another 20 to have the server come over. She was incredibly rude. I ve been busy and I was just coming over nope. She d been standing at her station when we realized she was our server. That was how it started. It kept up through the whole meal. And it was my grandson s birthday. Tables weren t being bused. Spills weren t cleaned up. In the bathroom of 4 stalls, one was out of order and the seat in the handicapped was totally broken! I have been there today. I am delivery driver. They said just packing for pickup and made me wait for 15-20 min. Also they always says just 2 min. So i had to cancel the order because of them.

Our family was celebrating the twins 4th birthday at Eastside marios this July long weekend. I want to say we eat out often as a family and Larrissa was probably the best server weve ever had. Her Enthusiasm and ability to pay attention to detail and multi task was amazing. She really went above and beyond to make it, a very enjoyable experience. The food was mediocre but Larissas service was 5 star. Id come back just for the service. Thank you Larrissa for a great family birthday experience.

The meatballs in the spaghetti were dry and crusty. The server seemed either overwhelmed or incapable of handling three tables as he almost forgot about the soup for my friend s meal, had to be asked about it and had to be asked about extra bread. Never came to check up on us or ask if we needed more to drink. Definitely going to reconsider coming to this location in the future.
I ordered food for pick up and I had to wait an hour and half for pickup!! After all the food was missing a lot of toppings that I already paid for and the pasta was super dry and I asked for extra saucy! It s unbelievable I waisted my time and my money and my food absolutely had no taste! I called the restaurant and spoke with manager and he hasn t done anything for me yet! If you wanna waste your money and not enjoying your food and they charge you extra and not giving you what you ordered go this place!
My waitress really outdid herself and turned me and my wifes whole experience back around. When we got placed at our table sadly we were left alone for quite some time, it seemed like the manager was unsure of what to do with us when he was at the front before we even got seated. Luckily our waitress was very on point and attentive to us and we will definitely be coming back for the food and at least that waitresses skill and caring behaviour.
We waited an hour for our food and the pasta was not cooked and the meat tough, the excuse is that they are very busy and not enough staff. We refused to pay for that meal and wont be going back anytime soon.
Not great. East Side Marios used to be such a great experience. The food is way more expensive now for the same quality. Cheese Capaletti went from 13 to 22 dollars within 5 years. Robots deliver your food to the table. Customer service is non existent. Table was sticky. Definitely wont return to this waterloo location

Pasta was terrible the Fettuccine alfredo came with so little sauce it actually just tasted like noodles with butter. Next time Ill just make it myself :/

Our meal came before our salad. It took forever to get bread. We requested take-home boxes for our meals as by the time we were through with our salad, it would have been cold. My partner and I ordered soft drinks, and both were flat. My second one was aswell. Very disappointed. We visited this location before, and they did the same, rushed customers out. We arent even half finished our salad before our salad bowls were removed from our table, although we were not near finished, then our meals were put down in front and the entire experience was rushed. I would not recommend this location.

Visited ESM Waterloo on a nice sunny Sunday with my kids and had an amazing experience. The is the largest ESM in GTA with plenty of seating space and free parking. We liked everything that we ate but must try is Shrimp Scampi, Hells Kitchen chicken and mocktails. They should however add IPA on the tap. I particularly liked the way how the new owners are personally engaged to delight the customer s experience.

Our group of 8 people was there for lunch, food was great except one ( picture ( chicken ) thanks for very good and professional service from Maya F. She really do good job and service from her was extremely good. There is also really big issue with ceiling peeling paint to our food and table ( pictures ). There was not available non alcohol beer. We will not recommend this restaurant and we will not come back.
Ordered our meals off the menu and they charged a different price at the cash plus since we were a group they charge 18% tip and we only had one waitress for 35 people, poor business etiquette!

Gluten allergy asked for no croutons but small bits were found in the bottom of the bowls 4 orders placed and as 2 orders were delivered we were told they were out of gluten free pasta for the other 2 orders Wait times for food/drinks was way too long Will not be returning! The young waiter (bradley) who took care of us was very polite and friendly. He showed the same care not only to us, but also to the customers he cared for. He answered our questions very politely and was very friendly towards us... I think food and service are important in a restaurant, but I think the most important thing is the waiter who takes care of you... Food, service and most importantly people like Bradley.....

This is the only location left in our city, but it is so noisy (just the acoustics of the building). As a result we try come here early afternoon, just after the lunch rush. ESM was our favourite place for years. Today though, our appetizer, although delicious, didnt come until after our main course arrived (apparently the cook forgot about them and left them in the deep fryer, so they had to make a new batch). But my absolute favourite menu item (spaghetti and meatballs) was a disappointment today. The spaghetti was like rubber. You would think an Italian Pasta restaurant would be able to cook pasta properly.
Food was not great, felt like the quality of food has gone down. It was better about a year ago. We ordered Mario s Chicken Parmigiana and & flat bread. The spaghetti was undercooked, and the chicken felt like it was cooked twice. Not going to come to this location for a while
They gave us a sticky table that had writing on it and they took to long to take our order. food was very nice
We were at a function in the downstairs room. My husband had a drink of rye & Pepsi, last mouthful of the drink had an ant in it and it bite the inside of his lip, and we had an awful time getting it off. Took it to the bar tender and he quickly took the glass with the ant in it and just shrugged it off. Should have taken a picture but bar tender took it too quickly. Paid $40. each for our meal which was to be included and after this incident neither of us could eat. We have proof with the people sitting with us.

Went to this location because it was close. There were many people waiting so we went to the front desk to ask how long the wait was because no one approached us or greeted us. They told us about 15 - 20 minutes. After that we went to the bar to sit and have a drink. I sat down and looked at the state of the bar and was mortified at the dirt, film and grime all over everything, even the computer! The beer taps were covered in flies, dead and alive. We were asked if we wanted a drink from one of the staff and we asked why the bar was in such a state. They did not have a good answer for us. If the bar looks like this what does the kitchen look like where they make your food I wonder. I decided to leave and call the manager. He gave us a bunch of excuses as to why the place was in such a state. He didn t really seem to care. Feel free to eat there but I will not ever again.

What an absolute horrible experience!! I ve never had this poor of a service. We stopped in hoping to have our favourite meals. We got the three different pastas to try and we asked if he can switch one of the pastas (lasagna) out for another and our waitress had to check with the chef in the back, she came out and said that s ok we can do that. As hubby didn t want the lasagna. I got the ravioli and our son got the three cheese cappelletti. As an appetizer we got the booma bombers and we didn t even receive them until after our full order got to the table and our waitress looked at us and said that s everything is there anything else you need. I said our appetizers at this point I wanted the appetizer before my meal not after. The bread was hard not soft like it is supposed to be. What was wrong? 1. Didn t receive appetizer until after our main. (Which was hard and not soft like it s supposed to be) 2. The waitress continued to pass hot food in front of my son. Saying this plate is hot. While holding it over my son. I asked her once to not pass the food over him/in front of him. she continued to do so. 3. We never once got refills and we never got ice?? 3. Hubbys meal was asked to switch out the lasagna and when I told her he still got it. She said she misunderstood. And asked if we wanted the chicken. 4. She continued to load the table up and not take anything from our table I had to call another waitress over to discard of things. Due to the table being overcrowded I ended up spilling the booma sauce all over my white sweater!!! Because it wasn t on the plate properly!! 5. The waitress pretty much rushed us out and was complaining about we close at 9:00pm because a couple guys came in to get food. Overall such a disappointing experience!! Especially since this was my Mother s Day dinner! We will not be returning!

We had an excellent meal at ESM. The bread was warm and fresh from the oven. My daughter says the Caesar salad was 10/10 and the garden salad was delicious (as usual). We missed the potato soup - that should be a regular menu item! Everyone enjoyed their meals, although my husband said the pizza was not as good as it used to be. What really made the experience so good was our server, Larissa. She was attentive, cheerful, and kind. We were very impressed by her knowledge of the menu, her willingness to answer questions, and her flexibility in accommodating preferences.

The food was great, the server was amazing , but the bug infestation (giant black ants everywhere, including my booth and floor) were too much for me. Especially the large lady bug type things? Just super gross when around food/Im eating. The table was also so sticky and gross, but was told that was just how the table is now stating that the varnish has come off.

Food is amazing but the servers are biased. They were friendly enough toward their own country people but their attitude changed when they had to serve people from my ethnicity. Speacially one waitress whom i think was a head waitress or something black hair, she didnt even bother to ask for cheese while she was contantly asking people around me for cheese and other things. Everytime i need something i had to call her by myself even when the place was not that full and didnt even refill our drinks while she was busy pouring for others. This was my second time visiting here and i would say my first time was better here even when they had fire in their kitchen, they treated us well, may be because that time i was here with my friends who are born and raised in this country
We have been many times before and all good. This time I had made reservations 4 days before. There was 5 of us and they sat us a table for 4. When I expressed this to them, they had us pick a table that may work. The table hadn t been cleaned. Never did we get silverware. I had to get up and take silverware from other tables after our food came. Food was late coming out. Floor was dirty throughout. Not a great experience at all. This was very disappointing.
Very disappointed tonight. We made reservations for 6 pm for a round table for 5 people. We arrived at 5:45 to check in and waited until 6:05 with a second reminder of the reservations. We were taken to a small square table for 4 people. We requested a larger table for 5 people and then waited while they cleared two tables and pushed them together. They provided no silverware for the table and then we waited over an hour for our food. We ended up taking silverware from other tables so we could eat our meal. We had been several times in the past with very good service. Tonight s dining experience has made us choose not to return.
