Milestones in Waterloo

While our server was extremely polite and apologetic about many of the faults of the restaurant like the worn bench seats, many bears out of stock and the freezing womens bathroom, we didnt have the heart to mention the cold and overcooked food. So its hard to recommend what to eat when it tastes okay, but wasnt hot enough to really enjoy. Maybe another time Milestones.

Food was good. WAY overpriced for the amount on the plate. Music way way too loud. Server was friendly. First and last time.

The ribs with fries were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. The IPA beer was a fantastic pairing, with its bold flavours complementing the meal wonderfully. The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, making the experience even better. A special shout-out to Nicole, our waitress, who was incredibly attentive and friendly and made the evening truly enjoyable!

The food was delicious, absolutely no issue there. What was lacking, was the fact that our app came out, then about 8 minutes later, our entree. Our sever neglected to bring over a steak knife, and we had to get up twice to flag down the hostess and another server to get a knife brought to the table. We noticed the manager circling, only stopping by a few select tables too - focusing on one table of friends most of the night (not ours). By the time we were ready to leave, it took a few more minutes to flag anyone down for a bill. Again, food was delicious. Hopefully service and atmosphere are better the next time we visit.

Honestly, not worth the money for the quality of the food. My steak was a fraction of the size of the keg and they initially overcooked it, they brought another one, but the seafood toppings were not replenished on the new steak. The other meal we had, the ramen dish, was really bad. For those prices, just go to the keg and get a real and consistent experience. Not sure what s going on with this restaurant, but I would not recommend. At other restaurants, things like this, we would have been compensated even a little, not here.

Dinner with my siblings turned out to be a great affair and partly because of our waiter, Jamaica, and exceptional food. Will definitely go back!

Not sure if we come here for the food, ambiance, or Michael, who s an exceptional server. Been a few times and always leave with smiles on our faces. Update Nov 2024. Haven t been back for a few months and the place is showing its age. The chairs we sat in were embarrassingly worn, the light bulbs were filthy, the interior windows have a layer of filth on them and the men s washroom has a broken urinal and the hand dryer also doesn t work. Makes me wonder what the kitchen is like? Food was decent, but not worth the price. We won t be back.

My fiancé and I went out for our date night here, loved the food and ambiance. We had been there couple of times and always liked it, but this one made me feel I should definitely write a review about. Amine was our server, he was ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT, very soft spoken and courteous, his service and hospitality went above and beyond. Food and drinks was really good (compliments to the kitchen staff and the bar). After we finished and paid the bill; we were heading out when I asked Amine to click a picture of us. He was so sweet to oblige and took multiple pictures- isn t that sweet? After thanking him we left the restaurant. We were just about to drive off, we saw Amine running toward us with our leftover box in his hand!!! And did I mention it was raining??? This was the reason I wrote this review. The restaurant should know that their staff go above and beyond and special mention to Amine!!! Will definitely visit again!

I cant understand why they dont replace or refurbish the damaged seats. It looks so bad and disappointing.

We visit this restaurant atleast 3 times a year since we have been in Waterloo. Last year the service was horrible but we visited Sunday evening for a dinner with my family. I ordered chicken bowl and my hubby ordered a burger. The meat in the burger was almost raw and the chicken was soo dry. At first they just brought out sauce to go with the chicken like it was gonna get better but after I couldnt believe after complaining they charged us the full bill. I spoke with the manager so they didnt charge us for the meals. Not going again tbh

My boyfriend and I dined in on Thursday for lunch. Our server Nicole was absolutely astonishing. She recommended amazing beverages, and meals, was quick with her service, brought us warm wet towels after our meal, and had a joyful polite attitude with a warm welcoming heart. Went to milestones on Tuesday for a quick lunch, food was tasty and our service from Nicole was amazing, she was quick, nice, and represented the restaurant in a beautiful way, we will definitely return!

My sisters and I took our parents out for dinner the other night, had an amazing time, food was delicious, but the service was the highlight. Nicole went above and beyond to make our experience great. She had great recommendations on drinks and our favourite apps ! Best Bellini and spin dip I ve had in a while!

Nicole was an exceptional server and made our experience unforgettable. Her positive attitude and quick service show her dedication to her work and her invaluable experience in the industry. Not to mention, she had multiple other tables to look after but always made time to come check on us and never seemed rushed. She deserves everything.

Visited the restaurant this week and what an experience. Lights outside were gorgeous, food was delicious and our server Nicole brought it all home with her service. She was fast, attentive, polite, and sociable. We will definitely be coming back!

I ordered a rare filet mignon and it was cooked very, very well.

Our bartender was so wonderful, going above and beyond to make our evening very memorable. Unfortunately, our experience was tainted by the behaviour of the manager towards his employees. Extremely painful to watch, and honestly, disheartening. I hope some sort of reflection can be done on behalf of this location with respects to their management, as we will not be returning.

I got the 16 oz bone in ribeye steak and asked for medium rare and it was severely undercooked (still blue), dry and lacked flavour, and definitely not enjoyable nor worth the $55. if I could give it 0 stars I would but the front of house service was good and is the only reason it s not getting 1 star

Every time I come to these milestones ,i have a great experience ,food is always tasty and fresh ,the servers are always professional and helpful. When i am finished here, 25% is my appreciation tip ..

I wouldn t give a star but in order to write this I had too , I will never set a foot in this restaurant it s dirty full of flies there must be something dead on the premises I complained the last time I was there what s worse one of the customers was hitting the flies with manu that someone else must used another time un knowing how dirty it was too bad it used to be a good restaurant but now it went downhill ; if I were you don t waste your money..

It seems that the restaurant is very under staffed. Upon arrival it was odd that there was no one at the reception desk which hasn t happened in the past. While being guided to our table we saw unattended cleaning products sitting on a dining table. A bit unprofessional! Our food was tasty and hot but the portions were notably smaller than in the past. We were served quickly while the restaurant was fairly empty. I found the floor somewhat sticky under the table and both men s and women s washroom floors were quite sticky. Ladies be sure check to check if there is toilet tissue in the stalls. After receiving our meals we never saw our server again We waited patiently.we were not offered the dessert menu or coffee etc. It was our anniversary and at time of making the reservation they asked if we were celebrating anything. We said yes but there was no follow through. After waiting at least a 1/2 hour for our bill which never came we decided to find the manager. By this time we were thoroughly annoyed. He apologized profusely saying the server had been busy with a larger group. They ended up not charging us for the 2 glasses of wine. We have no desire to ever go back to this location again. I believe If we had walked out without paying no one would have noticed.

I placed an order and they decided to close earlier than usual time because of a technical issue, they couldn t inform me of the early closure so I pick up my food. I made my displeasure known to the Manager and he was rude and said I shouldn t state my point or argue with him. Worst experience with a Manager

Great family dinner tonight at Milestones Waterloo! Our sever Rose was absolutely amazing and always full of smiles. Such a positive experience and the food was delicious!

I ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. Last night, I brought my uncle for dinner, and we had an excellent experience. The food was outstanding, but what really made the evening special was our waiter, Kyle. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He took great care of us, especially when it came to handling our dietary restrictions. Kyle s service made our night even better. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

Came in yesterday with my girlfriends for dinner - food was great and the service by our waitress, Alyssa was phenomenal. Informed us about happy hour and recommended the cauliflower bites which were amazing! Overall experience was 10/10. Definitely recommend and will be back again!!

Went to milestones last night for dinner and it was the worst experience I ve ever had. The service was absolutely terrible !! Our waitress left us for over half an hour and disappeared We had to actually go into the restaurant to pay our bill because no one was coming out to serve us . The food was not up to par as it usually is. I noticed our appetizers seemed a little undercooked and we ate them anyways - bad idea! Later that evening, my mom started to throw up and was up all night super sick. The calamari we ordered was definitely not cooked properly. Needless to say, I m very disappointed in this experience because I usually really enjoy milestones

We were denied a table on patio for 5, they refused to accommodate instead of simply bringing an extra chair. Inside, waiter poured the drink on my lap, then another waiter came and had an attitude, forgetting about additional orders and just being false and aggressive. All this without any protest from my side. It isn t what it was once, look elsewhere to spend your time and money. This was my last experience at this location.

Went 2 and a half weeks ago for my graduation celebration, our server Angela was amazing, she helped with any special requests my group was making. The chefs made excellent tasting food, all around great experience. Dietary restrictions: Great with gluten free changes.

Had a reservation the other day with the family, and as usual it was a great experience all around! Michael, our server for the evening was amazing! He was super personable and funny, as well as very attentive throughout the dining experience, even with it being quite busy. The food as always, was super tasty. Portions are great for the price. You do truly get what you pay for, in my opinion at least. Atmosphere is quite nice, it s a mainly modern vibe with a touch of elegant flair, so it s the type of place you can dress up to dine or be casually dressed. All in all Milestones will continue to be one of those restaurants my family will always come back to every so often for a nice meal. It s always been a pleasant experience! :) Dietary restrictions: The menu is definitely more of a specialty menu, so accommodations might be difficult. I d recommend calling ahead to see if dietary or allergy needs can be met!

This was the worst dining experience I have had in years! The server forgot to press send on his iPad. It was only after waiting 45 minutes the order was finally placed. We asked for decaffeinated coffee and was told it was being brewed, 30 minutes later, it still had not arrived. We left and went to the manager who charged me the full amount for this absymal meal. He then told us to wait and he would give us a gift certificate. We had definitely waited long enough. This was horrible service and terrible problem solving!

Horrible restaurant. Ordered a dish that was supposed to have fresh shiitake mushrooms. Well when it came it was not the case. Asked the server twice what is this product as it is NOT mushrooms. Finally the owner came and admitted to us this is lab grown fake products. It was honestly disgusting. Not acceptable to falsely advertise food. This was not listed in the menu whatsoever. I will never come back.! Not interested in fake food or falsely advertised food. Completely unacceptable.
