We offer the best authentic Filipino food in the region. Everything is made in house, from scratch, and with local ingredients(where available). Every order is cooked fresh, right in front of you. We are also have our own in house made craft soda on tap. No artificial flavours or colouring added. We are focused on sustainability in our kitchen. We are striving for no single use plastic, aluminum foil, saran or parchment paper. We use compostable takeout containers.
The Sinigang was spot on—tamarind broth was just the right level of sourness, and the lechon stayed crispy even in the soup. The Kare Kare was also great, with a thick, flavorful peanut sauce that wasn’t too heavy, and the lechon added a nice crunch. The Chicken Adobo was classic and well-balanced. What I appreciated most was how the dishes weren’t overly oily, which is a common issue with some places. You can tell they put care into preparing the food properly. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re craving Filipino dishes done right!
Amazing food, and the owners are super nice as well! They accidentally gave me a non-vegetarian meal and they were very apologetic and they switched it out super fast for me at no cost. Definitely not my last time here :)
Very delicious food, great service and friendly staff… what else you need in life?! Make sure to try Turon and ube ice cream for dessert
WOW! Amazing staffs, very friendly. We’re just visiting from Scarborough and we felt very welcomed, they even gave us a complimentary appetizer. Their excellent food is just a bonus! I just wish they can open up a branch in Scarborough.
As soon as you get in the door you’re welcomed as if you were family. Helped with the menu. Ordered pork sisig. Did have to look at some pics in the menu as I’m a bit picky. Did not have to wait long for my order. Good is very fresh and smells like home cooking. Portion was fair for the price. Could use couple slices of tomato… lol…Nevertheless very good experience and food was filling.
Nothing like being welcomed to someone’s kitchen to enjoy a home cooked meal. That is what it felt like at Rosel’s! You are treated to tasty food, great conversation, and home made pineapple sofa - and get to watch her cook while you wait. Tasting each dish to be sure it’s just the way she wants you to taste it. This is a must-try if you’re in Waterloo. I even tried to convince them to move their kitchen to Markham so I can be a regular but they like it in Waterloo 🤷🏻♂️ Thank you Rosel’s and I will be back anytime I’m in town!
Came with some friends. Employees working were really friendly. Ordered the platter to share. Food came quickly, and was absolutely fantastic! Lots of variety, and different sauces to use on the food. Only thing was the crispy pork was a little dry, would have been nice if pork belly was used for it. Pineapple soda was super tasty, not too sweet. The value is great, you get lots of food for what you pay. Tap to pay is available, can also order take out. Will be back again!
Ordered takeout from this place today after getting a recommendation from a friend and it was a super easy order online process. When we went in to pay and pickup our food we were greeted by the most lovely lady who was just the sweetest. When we got home and took out our food it was genuinely some of the best looking takeout I’ve ever seen visually and held up on the flavour front as well. I’ve never had Filipino food before but wow have I been missing out! While all the dishes were great special shout-out to the Pork dumplings and the most amazing homemade chilli oil I’ve ever had. Seriously a great experience will probably be back this week.
Will be back
The food was amazing, everything they can is made in house. Food has authentic taste and everyone has passion for what they re doing. Everyone should try this place at some point.
It was better than I expected. Justin Trudeau even came here. If you are Korean, you must try fried chicken skin.
Good authentic Filipino food, people there were very nice
Such a good place! The good is great and the owners are really friendly
Not sure how they get so many good reviews. Totally overpriced and tasteless food. We ordered pancit and bbq pork skewers
We wanted to try their food because from what they advertised they all look good. I wanted to order adobo combo it has 2pcs of chicken. For me, it doesnt even look like adobo no sauce, a little sprinkle of fried garlic on top the chicken is so dry and my gf ordered bbq it was dry the meat is to tiny, we also order lechon kawali so oily not happy and its too expensive. The service is okay! The picture is not the same what they have in the restaurant so sad.
staff is very rude .. especially a guy of 40-45 years old working there . he was behaving like he never went to school .. he does not know how to give respect to customers . i felt very bad after visiting this restaurant
The food is delicious, its delicious to repeat. they will welcome you with a smile, feels like were home.
Satisfied customer Authentic Filipino food Food
she got the sisig and i really liked it and the pancit bihon i like the sausage and noodles a lot. also they are super friendly
The food and Service is the best. Only losing half a star due to Justin Trudeaus Pic in front entrance Great Food and Freedom forever! Mabuhay!
Great adobo chicken. Had the crispy chicken skins as an app. Everything was delicious and the owner is super sweet.
Absolutely delicious food, prepared by Rosel herself. She and her staff member were accommodating and attentive. Our party of 7 tried a bit of everything, and it was all good. We ll definitely be back! Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
worth the taste..solid
We stopped by this place on our way back to Toronto. I ordered BBQ rice and turon. I dont know how they came up with the previous reviews but Im going to do mine as honest as possible. The bbq was burned and the turons were tiny for the price! I calmed myself down thinking, it might be worth the price. But its a big DISAPPOINTMENT!!! JUST BEING HONEST HERE. I have no motive not to be!
The food is absolutely excellent
Bad customer service
Delicious food and great service. Everthing made fresh. We will be back to try everything else.
Amazing food, very friendly staff, extremely accommodating.
Very delicious food. Tried the Pancit bihon already before and returned again to try chicken skins and Turon. All very delicious. Will definitely return again. Great spot for Filipino food!
Don t understand why this place has so many good reviews. Very overpriced and just full of white rice. The pork belly dish barely had any meats (70% was fat pieces only). The one with liver sauce also tasted really bad. Been to few filipino places, this was the worst place. Would not recommend.
Great food, lovely staff, definitely recommend
Rude staff don t waste your money here food was cold asked For a refund was denied no compensation Food
We love the food, our family was in love with the different options to taste, very accommodating to us if needed to add or replace add ons, will be back for sure
I love Rosels! I had never had Filipino food before, and now I cant get enough of it. Im consistently trying different menu items, and I havent found anything I havent really enjoyed. I keep bringing new people (family, friends, work friends) who all agree that Rosels flavors are delicious! Dietary restrictions: Lots of dairy-free and gluten-free options
Make sure to try their Halo halo! The perfect refreshment this summer!
Weve been a fan of Rosels for quite a while now! Whether Im grabbing a meal for myself and my teens, or ordering in a Kamayan feast for a holiday withh extended family, Im always impressed by the portion size, flavourful and fantastic service. I highly recommend reaching out about ordering in for parties. Try Rosels, youll keep coming back for more!
Rosel s is a taste of heaven. Perfectly cooked with so many flavours with every bite I wish I could eat this every day!! Customer service is through the roof!! They talk to me and introduce me to new things which I always love. I will forever recommend this restaurant to anyone I can!!
Authentic Filipino food! Yummy and food is professionally made. Taste is always best tasting in every season! The best kare kare, dinuguan, pansit bihon, street food platter and lechon kawali!
Great, authentic, Filipino food close to the university.
I absolutely loved all of the food so much so of the best food I have had in a while and the fried pork belly is to die for
Our family enjoyed our lunch at Rosels. The food was fresh and flavourful and Rosel was so kind and welcoming. She seems to be both an expert chef and business owner. We ordered the Merienda platter which was just right for our family of five with the addition of some banana fritters and Turon for dessert. Id also highly recommend the refreshing pineapple soda that was on tap the day we visited. We will be definitely be back and have already recommended Rosels to our friends. Cant wait to try some of the other dishes!
It was fantastic and delicious definitely hit the craving
Drove for half an hour just to find out that they dont have enough tables for paying customers. They have a bunch of tables, but they couldnt accommodate us and give us a table. They had the audacity to tell us to order for take out when I brought my family to eat out. So disappointing. It doesnt hurt to get more tables to be able to accommodate everyone.
Ordered takeout - Lechon Kawali and Pancit Palabok. Pork skin was crunchy! Could have used a bit more seasoning on the meat but it was still very tasty. Cant wait to try more of their dishes. I added my own fried egg on top of the rice
Front staff is rude
Staff is extremely rude I will never go their to eat in my life Food
So fresh! Delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was not sure what to try and they were able to direct me to the perfect dishes. Thank you!
Great food thats unique to the area. Lots of great options and a very cozy vibe inside. Staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend the Kamote Fries!
Great food and fast service. Staff are attentive when taking orders.
Staff was super friendly and helpful in deciding on what to get and try. This place is GF friendly so if you have a friend that has celiac take them here. Chicken Adobo was tender, flavourful and moist. Would recommend. The meat portion isnt a lot and could be more. Youll still be hungry after this dish. Lots of rice to fill you up though if youre into the carbs. BBQ Skewers cant complain. Something nice to try. Flavour spot on and not over cooked. Pineapple soda on tap hit the spot. Definitely should try. Pancit Bihon portion size was good and had a variety of items. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free friendly
The best food and good service
Great food and really friendly owners! Order at the front and pay, then theyll bring the food to you. The food was great, it was made fresh to order and the service was fast and efficient.
Impressive
Food is fresh and delicious, menu also changes occasionally and I was surprised to find chicken inasal on there. The siopao is also a must.
Stopped in for lunch as was not disappointed. Food was great and so was the service. Learned a lot about the dishes as the folks behind the counter were amazing to talk with. Would like to see more pictures of the Phils on the wall. The menu is great and the tv displaying the different dishes was a good help in what to choose. Dietary restrictions: Have some GF dishes. Kid-friendliness: Two staff, very friendly and good to chat with. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp available
Good food and great service!
more like a small restaurant for afternoon snacks. The dishes are good, but most of them are heavy on oil(fried). Big plat, delicious, and not expensive.
Very yummy and fresh food
I ordered this ube cake a while back and it was delicious. Google is asking me to review so here is my input. Although it was months ago, my honest feedback is the cake was moist and fresh. I had called and ordered beforehand, not sure what the protocol is now. Price is appropriate and it was a unique flavor!
Tried Rosels for the first time recently and will definitely return!! The owners were so friendly and I love how everything is made fresh in house. Delicious!
Delicious food, incredibly friendly people! Love this place!
Place goes hard, food is bussin, respectfully. Running it back on the weekly, and you should too.
Wow. We just went for dinner tonight and it was just awesome. The portion sizes are very large so take note! The service was so friendly too!
Got some take out here today and it was really good! Definitely made with love!
The food is delicious & the customer service is impeccable. The food presentation & portion justifies the price you pay. Will definitely comeback for the food, the ambiance & the customer service.
The place is delicious, I just wished they had more meat options other than pork and I know there is. (I.e veggie lumpia, fresh lumpia, tofu sisig) so much more. I was expecting to have sago as a drink but sadly they didnt have.
Excellent food every time! We enjoy trying new dishes each time we visit! Looking forward to next time.
The food was incredible, reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. 100% would recommend the spicy pork sisig.
Amazing authentic Phillipino food with flavors that make your senses go wild! In love with this little restaurant! Try the meat skewers, pansit and the chicken skins!! Food
Wonderful food and wonderful people! My first time having Filipino food and it was awesome! Will definitely be coming back!
Delicious food, and very friendly staff. Well come back for more
Great food and service! Authentic Filipino food that was so tasty and great friendly staff.
Had an amazing lunch date. Food is excellent, service was great and according to my date very authentic. Price is a bit on the high side but other than that I would absolutely come again.
One of the few places where you can get authentic Filipino food. Delicious!
First try at Filipino food! It was so fresh and amazing .. staff was so pleasant and helpful and proud of what they do! Will certainly go back!
Adobo chicken tastes not like Adobo chicken
I dont generally write reviews but this place is so good that I felt like I needed to get on and say so. The food is incredible and of such high quality! My favourite take-out in KW hands down.
This is for you if you want some Filipino dishes upgraded version.
First time trying it and unfortunately I didnt have the best experience here in terms of the food. I ordered a main dish called Tapsilog. I was expecting a garlic fried rice like described in the menu, but it was a regular white rice. The rice was very dry, I had a hard time eating it, it was a also not very fragrance like the usual South East Asians jasmine rice Im used too. I also found the value for price to be ok, there wasnt a lot of beef for the price, mostly just the very dry rice. Maybe Im just not very lucky today. Service was friendly though.
Delicious food for a great price + amazing service! Everything I ve tried here is delicious. One of my favourite food spots in Waterloo. :)
Very authentic Filipino food. Cooked fresh while you wait.
A take away family restaurant with inside tables. The food is freshly cooked and delicious, and the managers are nice.
The flavors are far more authentic than the filipino restaurant we visited in Toronto - my mother from Zamboanga approves! Food is fast, and service is excellent.
Randomly picked this spot this afternoon. Amazing food and amazing service. My Dad was talking up a storm with an employee, asking so many questions, and the employee was so happy to answer anything thrown at him. We got the Lechon Kawali (super crispy and tasty with the sauce provided) and the Pansit Palabok (amazing flavor, loved the texture) for the mains and Siomai pork dumplings for a side (ABSOLUTE FIRE, THESE WERE AMAZING) I ordered the street food platter for my partner. She loved it all, and even used the chili oil/sauce (which she would not dare attempt anywhere else).
Great taste! Friendly staff
Great home style cooking. Very friendly people. Reasonable price - very good value. Pineapple soda delish!
Really enjoyed the sidig and lechon kawali! The street food platter is easily shareable and a hit
If the food is as good as Rosel looks then it s a wining combination, I once saw her na and she is well put together, her husband must be happy, update, what kind of restaurant closes on a long weekend when people are going to not cook and have takeout, your a great cook Rosel but think about it next time
Delicious food, friendly staff, an excellent experience!
Dietary restrictions: Peanut and Nut allergy aware Food
Presentation is great but the food was not very good. The palabok had a lot of noodles but not enough sauce and the sisig tasted like it was just reheated.
this is the best filipino restaurant i ever been.. worth it for long drive from west London just to eat here . dinuguan are the best
Stopped in for some take out food. Great little spot to enjoy a dish of authentic Filipino food. Service was fast and friendly, and the prices are very fair. Highly recommended. Food
Satisfied and also the crews are very active
First time trying filipino food and I will definitely be back! I got the Kare Kare and it was awesome.
Best filipino food Ive had in a long time
Ordered for the first time tonight and enjoyed every single bite! I have never had a better BBQ skewer or Siopao! Everything was as it should be and thats hard to come by in takeout these days! We will be loyal customers for sure. You should be proud Chef Rosel!
Had Tap-Si-Log with a buddy for an early dinner. Very tasty. It s nice to try some delicious and authentic Filipino food in Waterloo which I miss in Toronto.
Great food and really friendly owners! Order at the front and pay, then theyll bring the food to you. Service: the person at the front was incredibly nice and welcoming. We got our food really quick and theyll pour you the homemade pineapple soda immediately. Food: Really really good. The pork belly and fried chicken are really crispy, the garlic rice is amazingly savoury, the bbq skewers have an amazing charcoal grill flavour (very much like street food in the best way), and the pineapple soda is super refreshing. Portions are quite large as well. Plus, everything is homemade including their ice cream! Price: the only downside to this restaurant is price. Its a bit high, with individual skewers coming in at $3.75 and dishes at ~$15+. However, given that everything is homemade, they were not unreasonable at all. Atmosphere: it feels very much like a takeout restaurant, but we didnt have any issues with it. The restaurant was clean and eating in was enjoyable.
Really affordable and yet enjoyable food. We asked for a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We had the fried noodles with pork belly and spareribs with rice. Super nice staff, will definitely visit again to try more of the menu. Highly recommend! :)
The best food ever. The staff was so welcoming and nice and they were so accommodating. I told them I was vegetarian and they adapted something for me on the spot. Their house pineapple soda was also amazing. Quite inexpensive as well. Specially because the dishes are so big and soooo good.
Been craving Filipino food for some time, and this place hits the spot for sure, I didnt do much research about Filipino food in the kw area, but this seems to be the only spot where I can get really delicious Filipino food. 11/10 will go again
As a filipina student, i can say Rosel s has some authentic delicious filipino food! so glad i finally discovered a filo restaurant in Waterloo
Just had lunch at Rosel s. EXCELLENT food! Staff were so friendly and accommodating too. We had the Pork Sisig, Pancit Bihon, Adobo Spareribs, Shanghai and vegetable lumpia, homemade pineapple soda and Ube float, and turon - it felt like I was back home! Can t wait to come back again. Highly recommend.
Great food! We had the Street Food Platter and the Adobo Ribs. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and juicy. Everything was yummy. We ll definitely be back!
Rosels is such a hidden gem. They have excellent food at great value coupled with sincere, warm service. I love that the dining area is next to the open kitchen so you can see and hear your food being made. I love the pineapple soda ON TAP (how cool is that??) and that they have such unique snacks - deep fried chicken skin!! This place needs more love and support and I hope they will be a lasting establishment for years to come.
Heard about Rosel s from a friend & was not disappointed! I got the Dinuguan and it was amazing! The sauce had the same rich flavour as I ve had at other Filipino restaurants but Rosel s was topped with their homemade lechon! It was so good that I ordered another portion for takeout! I ll definitely be back to try the rest of their menu.
Had the sidig today & wow, just wow. This is some great food. I m gonna be a regular customer from now!
I had the street food platter for app and Pancit for my main. I highly recommend this restaurant. Lovely ladies running the restaurant. This will be a regular dining experience for me.
Every dish was amazing. Such friendly service, also!
I am really disappointed. I have been to enough different Filipino restaurants. I though this place would be good to go eat at. The food tastes good but almost 20 bucks for pancit I though was a little high but I said to myself ok must be a good portion. I go home to find that the container was half full and it is just noodles like really any other place the container would be more than full.
My boyfriend and I LOVE this place! We come here almost every week or so and we re always so impressed with the service and quality of food. Even though the prices are a tad on the higher side, it s 100% worth it for the food and portions! Being Filipino, I usually have a hard time finding good, authentic Filipino food in restaurants but they did not disappoint me one bit definitely one of my go-to restaurants in Waterloo!
Great food and speedy service. Very accessible as it is near university @ king street waterloo. If you are looking for an Asian+Spanish Cuisine Rosels for you. Really recommend their breakfast meals Tapsilog and others!
Food is delicious and freshly served. Their combo platter is very reasonable and lots of serving. Friendly staff and clean place. No reservations so far and dine in available. Highly recommend for a Filipino Restaurant. Would definitely come back!!
Great pinoy food and excellent service!
Enjoyed the siomai, lechon and sisig. Wasnt too salty either.
Food came quickly, great home cooked meal, really nice staff. Proper place to bring ur guys
Friendly, clean, awesome menu. Free WiFi for guests. Would highly recommend.
Excellent food, perfect spicing, large portions. My wife and I started with the pork siumai, then she went for the adobo spareribs while I went adventurous trying the pork sisiq and taking home some crispy dinuguan. We will be back.
This small, family-owned restaurant is amazing. Every meal here is not only of generous helpings, but incredibly tasty. You wont find authentic Filipino Food around here like this. Made with love by the owner herself. If you havent tried Rosels yet, youre really missing out on a gem of a restaurant in Waterloo.
The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing
Perfect platter for a family picnic in the park. Picked up the Merienda Platter to share among four adults - great variety of skewers, rice noodles, spring rolls, chicken skins, siomai, and sauces. Friendly service - great owners, and highly accomodating for my daughters sesame/seafood allergies. Will definitely be back for our next visit to Waterloo - and plan to try some desserts next time.
Masarap! Food tasted great and service was especially warm and friendly!
My husband and I were in Waterloo to help our daughter move out of her apartment and she told me she is craving for Filipino food but shes hesitant to bring me to this place because everytime we dine in Filipino restaurants, I always say I can cook this at home I said Im willing to try it since she wont be back for another year... SO, Im here now writing a review because I honestly cannot make Filipino food as good as Rosel! The lechon kawali, bihon and garlic rice are all very delicious. The ube ice cream is yummy too. We got a chance to talk to the owners and the employee. They are all super nice. I am definitely going back to try Rosels other dishes when I visit Waterloo.
Staff is rude arrogant they don t how to talk to customers and i have my bag with me u guys dont even know how to talk to someone u guys were laughing and showing attitiude
Great food, large portions, and great service! They were able to accommodate a large gathering (11 people) without any problems!
Takes you back home.
The staff were super nice, the food was pre good (first time eating Filipino food), they made everything pretty quickly and their portioning is superb, no bad complaints
Id never tried Filipino food before, so I wasnt sure what to expect when a friend suggested we get Rosels for lunch. The food was absolutely fantastic! The staff were also friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. I ended up getting the ube float and kamote fries, both were definitely a do again.
I just ordered from here for the first time tonight. I wasnt disappointed! The food here is delicious. Give this place a try. I can tell everything was made from scratch. The food was so flavorful. I cant wait to order again soon.
Amazing food that will keep you coming back! Lumpia is a must try!
We ordered a platter and the price is very reasonable. Really nice food.
If you are in Waterloo and like trying new things, this place is a must! Ive been here so many times and cant stop going back. The flavours are really unique and unlike many other cuisines you may find. Their food is absolutely delicious and I personally love their pancit noodles and any rice dish (they all kind of taste coconutty). Their meat is cooked to crispy perfection and best of all they have an awesome pineapple soda that ties everything together. The owner and staff are all super friendly and will gladly help you decide on a dish if you are having trouble picking from their menu. Highly recommend if you are into Filipino food or just looking for something new!
The food here is simply mouthwatering and the staff are very friendly, too. Food is prepared fresh in front of you and comes very quickly. I got a Pancit bihon (crispy fried pork belly on glass noodles (bihon))
Food here is fantastic; 10/10 will come back here again.
Loved all the dishes and pineapple soda!
Super friendly staff and great food :)
The food was fresh and hot upon order, flavourful with a nice crispy crunch and a gem within the Tri-Cities as there is not many Philippino restaurants representation in the area. I chanced upon the bbq skewers and the Kamote fries, as there are many options I suggest those who are new to Philippino cuisine to come and experience.
Everything is delicious, hot, homemade and made to order. The quality and value is second to none. Must try if in the area.
Stopped here for lunch the other day and the glowing reviews are true - this place is really good. The owners are extremely friendly and the food is spectacular. Small places like this are what make a city a great place to live, and I hope they have lots of success here.
Amazing fresh food and hands down the best Filipino food in the KW region.
Try the crispy Dinuguan!!!!
Pretty good! Very authentic and stellar service. The woman who took our order was very kind and gave us recommendations. We got the street flood platter, lechen kawali, and kamote fries for two people which was a good amount of food for us. Everything tasted great!!
I don t know who Rosel is but I would die for them. This place changed my life, Filipino food is criminally underrated!!
Yum... Platter is amazing
What a delightful restaurant! The people who work here are lovely, and the food is absolutely delicious. Definitely a unique spot to check out. I cant wait to go back :-)
Came here to try the Halo Halo ice cream and it was so delicious! What a great summer treat!
My son and I (finally) had our first visit to Rosel s and OHEMGEE! Why did I wait this long?! Delicious! We shared the street food platter, lechon & palabok. My son devoured the deep fried chicken skin and the lechon. He really enjoyed the palabok too. We also shard the halo halo. The homemade ube ice cream is boom. Blew me away. Again my son devoured the halo halo. Next time I m ordering one each haha. The chefs are friendly, nice and so sweet! Great service - thank you! We will definitely come back many more times.
Awesome, but my dish didn t come with salad
Great food and laid back environment. Owner was super friendly as well. Would go there again.
Great comfort food and good portions!! The service is also very welcoming and friendly, they make you feel at home. I highly recommend the ube ice cream: it is perfect for a hot summer day - or really any day - and is cheap!
Love the Mirienda Platter and of course the fried chicken skins! Fast and fresh and made perfect every time!
Solid Phillipino food! The owners were really nice! I got their Pancit Bihon and I thought it was pretty good. Slightly salty but super flavourful!
This slaps no cap on god
Had the platter. Rice noodles were too salty. Fried chicken skin had no seasoning. Shumai was the best in the platter.
Food is amazing! Will come back here every time I m in Waterloo!
Fantastic every time! Super friendly owners and amazing food.
Tastes so good! Just take a look at pics you will know how gooood it is
Best Sisig Ive ever had, in a nice hot skillet with an egg, will definitely be back
Rosel s lives by its slogan: Flavours are on point here! Love the street food platter . Those little pork balls are amazing and the crispy chicken skins are the guilty pleasure of my dreams! Definitely recommend supporting this small business in Waterloo
the chicken skin is amazing
truly the BEST sisig i ve ever tried is sold at this cute, little spot in waterloo. definitely a must try if you re in the area. they also have the kindest staff and owner which is a nice touch as well. will definitely be back whenever i m in town.
The Pancit Bihon was amazing, there was a really nice balance of flavors and textures and I loved the contrast between the crunchy fried pork skin and the softer rice noodles. The owners were also really friendly and ended up giving us an extra Turon so we could share with all our friends. This place has definitely become a staple for me when dining out in Waterloo. Come here if you want great service and even better food.
So good, some of the best filipino food Ive had, and I have tried most of the places in the tri cities, guelph, and Hamilton. Definitely recommend the Sisig.
Amazing place, loved the food and great service. Would definitely recommend
Good service and very friendly and kind staff. Food was great!
A small family-owned business with exceptional authentic food. Had the Pancit Bihon, fried chicken skin appetizer (my favourite!), and Siu Mai. Pair it all up with the refreshing pineapple soda and you will not be disappointed.
Friendly, clean, good portions. BBQ skewers could have been a little more tender.
Great food!
Great food and friendly staff!
Went here with a friend last week and had a great time. Food was delicious and served fast. Owners were polite and let us stay after closing hours to finish our conversation. The place has a homey vibe to it. Will definitely be going back!
The food was not good. The lumpia was so much pastry compared to what Im used to. The bbq skewers sooo dry the bbq sauce couldnt even save them. And palabok is probably one of my favourite dishes. I usually go to Toronto the get it . Have been going to Milton. Was excited that there was a well rated place in town that had palabok . So disappointing. So bland.
Excellent reasonably priced food and the staff is very friendly. They make homemade pineapple soda that is absolutely delicious and their portion sizes are perfect! Will be going again
The best authentic filipino food in kitchener it s really authentic.. specially the platter.pansit bihon its really good
Food is Great, affordable and feels like home again. Thank you po Ate Rosel - see you again next time when we visit waterloo. Long drive is worth it. Nabusog nyo po kami. -from Ottawa Customers
I brought my Pilipino friends there, even they said it s authentic and delicious!
Wow! This place is a real gem. My standards for Filipino food are high and this place did not disappoint! I only had the ginataang kalabasa served with a peppery garlic rice but everything on the menu looked great. Super delicious, very flavorful, and fresh. I just hope I have enough time during my visit to try more menu items! Side note, the restaurant is right next to a milk tea place if that s your thing :)
Been here twice now, brought my mom both times, who is notoriously picky. Both times we were extremely impressed with the quality/taste of the food and the quality of the service. As someone that s eaten at a lot of different places in Waterloo, this is probably my favourite, if only based on how nice everyone is. Will definitely be returned ASAP!
It was my first time eating Filipino food. Its small restaurant but when you walk in, the smell is amazing. Best pork crackling and warm welcome from the hosts. They are quite accommodating as well. They make a delicious garlic oil dip. Definitely worth a try. Parking: Parking is available
Ordered $70 platter. Fed 6 people with even leftovers. Platter had a combination of noodles, pork rolls, bbq pork on stick, pork egg rolls, garluc rice with chicken, fried chicken skin, and egg. Great service and nice atmosphere. Also, try the pineapple soda you will not be disappointed. I live in Florida, so the next time I visit I will make my way there again.
I moved near this place in September, and have become a semi-regular. Amazing food, would recommend the Chicken Adobo and the BBQ Pork Ribs!
I really dont understand all of the 5 star reviews for this place. I went tonight and I got a dish with pork belly and noodles. While the noodles tasted good, the pork belly was awful, all fat and very little meat, for a 20$ overpriced portion. What ruined it though was the deep-fried bits were hard as rocks. I felt sick after eating here. Also, the restaurant seemed disorganized and dirty, there were tim Hortons boxes and drinks around the area they prepare food meaning they eat while cooking which is a bit gross. I would believe that we just got the last pork belly pieces that have been sitting for the whole day if I was told that, but based on my experience I definitely would not come back here
Today we met a very rude and disrespectful man who would not accept the word even know how to talk to people
Definitely recommend this place, when you get anything, get the sisig, very delicious!!
Tasty, will def return.
We ordered a few things, street food appetizers, which is very good, the chicken skins very crunchy, cant stop eating, the sumay, enough meat, the spring rolls just ok. My main dish was the noodles, Pork Mami Soup, in my opinion the taste not enough, very light, But the other main dishes were yummy, pinoy sweet and sour and lenchon kawali. Id like to go again to try other dishes.
Amazing authentic Philippines flavors, make with love and homemade tastes. The owner its a delayed to meet. Hope if you around the area, take the time to visit and enjoy it.
Many tasty options (if you like garlic and flavourful spices with some heat, this place hits the spot). Note: They currently have a nut-free menu, but they told me that this will be changing in the near future. One of the their team members has a nut allergy also, and mentioned that they will do their best to reduce the chance of cross contamination if you tell them about any nut allergies ahead of time (eg. whether its telling you what dishes to avoid or wiping down the counter). Also, keep in mind that there may be a price discrepancy for some items. We were charged slightly more for a side we ordered, and when asked about it, they said it was because the menu hasnt been updated yet to reflect price changes.
Very friendly staff and ownership. The owner actually came out and chatted with us for a while, felt so welcome. Food was top notch delicious. Had. Pork sisig, lechon kawali and skewers. Finished with turon.
real authentic Filipino food. the food is great!!!
Friendly staff, delicious, fresh food. Truly a 5 star place
Food was delicious, the pork was very crispy!!
Awesome authentic Filipino food made and served by amazing people. Come here if you re interested in what food in the Philippines is like. Highly recommend the pineapple soda. If you can come with 3-4 people you can share one of the large platters, best way to sample the different food options. Heads up that their popular items tend to sell out as they prepare limited quantities. Try and get there earlier for dinner if possible.
