A great restaurant for gathering. Been there multiple times and the food is amazing and healthy. Cannot recommend enough!👌
This is the first time we have visited this restaurant and we're glad we came. It is truly a hidden gem. There is plenty of free parking in the parking lot. Guest Wi-Fi is available. The decor is simple, clean and tidy. The laminated menus were clean. The owners and staff are absolutely fantastic! They are friendly, polite, accommodating and are truly hard working people. The bathrooms are clean but need some updating and a little maintenance. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We ordered the St George Platter, which serves two and has an assortment of different meats with delicious potatoes and an excellent assortment of perfectly cooked veggies. The background music was at a perfect level that you could still enjoy it and have a normal conversation. Although personally I would enjoy authentic Serbian music for the experience of eating in a Serbian restaurant. We will definitely be returning!

The best tasting burger on this continent. The Chef can give master class to many cooks. Everything that we tried was above average. The portions are generous, meat delicious, sides as well, nicely presented food... Family atmosphere and very friendly service. We keep coming back.
A refreshing restaurant in Waterloo. Feels like outside of Canada. Food are tasty and portions were great. Ordered grilled sea bass ($29) and St. George's good for 2 platter ($54) which can really be for 3-4 people. Wasn't too thrilled with the schnitzel, but then again I've never been a fan of it.
We were in the area for a Christmas activity and happen to find this place on a Google search. My wife is Slovenian background and when saw it was Serbian, thought we'd give it a try to see how close it is to Slovenian food. The schnitzel was so good that my wife traded her goulash for it! I was pretty happy with the goulash though so it all worked out! I don't come out to Waterloo often, but would love to take my Slovenian father in law here to give it a try!
There's a NEW CHEF now (he started in October 2017) and the food is absolutely sensational! We had a gathering of 4 and we tasted each other's food. Oh, my! I can say this is my favorite restaurant in Kitchener-Waterloo! Can't wait to go again. Actually, I am planning to go tonight. The only downside is ... the portions are HUGE. Really, they are too big for a normal person. But because is so good, you'll try to eat everything... I recommend you share or ask to take half home.
Lovely dinner yesterday. Interesting menu, wonderful meal that was perfectly served by our waiter. Didn't get a drinks menu but a glass of cognac was only $4.5. I had the SHOPSKA SALAD and that was really the best salad I had in Canada. We also had SERBIAN TRADITIONAL PARTY PLATTER (FOR 2) and that could easy feed 3 people. We had lots of meats to take home:-)

Just found this place by accident. Both the food (St George stew and Vienna schnitzel) and service were excellent and the price ($41 for the two large entrees) was very reasonable. Well be back.

Five -star Google reviews led us to this restaurant. Totally agree with the positive comments of this eatery. Generous portion with plenty of fresh side vegetables. Our group had an enjoyable family dinner for Mothers Day. Definitely recommend reservations for large groups.

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch this afternoon at the St. George Restaurant. I had the pork schnitzel. It was quite good and served very hot. My friends had the chicken schnitzel. They also enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was clean and spacious. There was lots of parking. The restaurant is close to St. Jacobs Farmers Market. I placed my credit card in the picture so you can see the size of the schnitzel. Good food, reasonable prices.

Amazing food and service
Friendly service, fantastic menu options and overall a warm atmosphere. Owners are welcoming and friendly with kids. Lots of seating and parking. If you are a fan of fish, Id recommend bass as its grilled to perfection yet moist. Stewes and grill meat are a definite hit and come with a generous portion of sides. Wont be disappointed.

My husband and I are so happy we found this place. Tastes just like my mother in laws food back home in Serbia. Sarma (cabbage rolls are amazing) and the meat platter for 2. You wont be disappointed. Cannot wait to come back!
Tasty, tasty, tasty. Waitress really nice, manager really nice too. Limited selection of wine, place feels a little run down. Food is good enough to go back anyway, but I wouldnt take a date until were already close.

Wow, what an amazing restaurant! The Serbian culture is evident in the welcoming greetings right through to the meal. The burger was so flavorful and filling , we even tried the amazing Octopus....just amazing

A couple years ago I had my wedding at saint Georges banquet hall. Since then, me and my wife we are visiting this place every day in our anniversary day!!! It was unforgettable!!! Their hospitality, their kitchen, their friendly and smily behavior it was aswom!!! I can say that this place is definitely the most clean and tastiest place allover the city!!! I definitely recommend it!!!

This restaurant has a huge variety of tasty food from parts of Europe, the service at the restaurant is amazing and very friendly, always smiling. The restaurant is very well kept and clean, nothing but a great experience. I highly recommend it and Ill definitely be back for more food!

Our first time there and first time trying Serbian cuisine. We were not disappointed. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and delicious. The octopus salad was beautifully marinated & fresh. Definitely recommend trying it. The red pepper feta bruschetta was tasty. Order St George platter for 2 because it gives you a chance to try a few of the dishes on the menu. We will definitely go back to try the other dishes on the menu.

Got takeout from here for the first time. Must say I am very impressed! The burger was massive and the fresh bun was a nice change from the ordinary. People that work there are very friendly also. This place needs some exposure come try for yourself.

On a whim, I took my wife here for a fairly casual date night. Restaurant was almost empty, food was AMAZING - definitely better than most North American food. Service was incredible - a happy couple, willing to stop and talk with us about the food and the Balkans... And not very expensive!

My husband Chris and I enjoyed our first, but by no means last, meal at the St George Restaurant tonight. The meal was wonderful, the ambience cozy and our Server Slavica was friendly and a pleasure to talk to talk and very attentive . We highly recommend and will be back soon!
The food was great. And reasonable pricing. But that said. The waiter had no clue how to serve. Sat for 15 minutes. Asked for drinks. Beer came in a bottle. Asked for a glass. Came with a juice glass with ice Waited longer again for food service ordered appetizers and main course. Waited long time again. Appetizers arrived. 5 minutes after main course .... Need to get better qualified severs.

Lack of communication. We called a week prior to going to the restaurant, and they said we would NOT need a reservation. Then the day of we called to make sure it would be fine that we come now, and they said NO, we are fully booked. Get it together, you disappointed an entire family with your poor communication.
This restaurant had 3 weeks notice that there would be 16 of us--results--I had to wait an hour and a half to receive the hard cold dried out special and was charged for an item I did not get. Everyone was given food at odd times--some had finished before I received mine. The 2 people around me liked their food but their wait was one hour and 15 min. No apologies--only excuses were given--we are getting a new menu next week--our receptionist should never have booked you without a set menu (they had a telephone number to arrange this ahead and yet they set out on the table not only the daily specials but also a regular menu, for each of us) We were able to laugh among us as how rediculious this place was and one woman went to the kitchen and said that if they had just apologized and or offered us a dessert or a discount, it might have helped. Nothing!!!
