Waited 2 and a half hours in the cold to go in when literally everyone was cutting in the line and bouncers didnt care. So many people left, yet the line was not moving. They only let certain people in and obviously girls of certain demographic when they literally just cut in line and just got there, barely even waited. When we finally got in, it was so gross inside with empty glasses everywhere. It wasnt even full in there. I would give the rating a 0 but there was no option to

I made my reservation 1 week and a half in advance to celebrate my birthday at this place and I didnt expect to leave so frustrated. Some friends and I arrived at the time of reservation and when we were seated at the table someone came and said very rudely that they couldnt hold the table for the next 15 minutes and when my friends started arriving they were told that they had to wait in line and they also informed me that the security guards were extremely rude to them. In addition to this problem, while we were there the service was terrible, no one brought us the menu, we waited half an hour for it and we only got it because we stopped someone who was passing by to ask for it. In the end we ended up leaving and going somewhere else. What I told the manager is that there needs to be clearer communication when a reservation is made, but it seems that people are too lazy to type because even online to make a reservation the service is terrible. There is no response, sometimes the message is viewed and ignored. Anyway, I hope I never go back and that no one has the same experience going to this place. Best of luck to all.

Marshall who works at this location is an absolutely great host and helpful not only to the music scene, but to the community. If we had more individuals such as this person, wed have an even better community than we have.

Great Pub. Basically becomes a night club around 9 but the food is good and the staff are awesome.

Tip options are reversed on the machine. Where the lowest tip option is normally, they put 30% (their highest). Gotta love when businesses implement predatory tipping practices (especially a bar) for drunk customers . Food was also pretty terrible. Cold fries ew

Was great until 9pm. Went in to watch the hockey game with a friend and the bartenders were all great. Food was pretty decent, but nothing special. At 9pm the music got turned up and the crowds started pouring in. Turns out this place is basically a club on Saturday nights? By the end of the second period we got the vibes that the new bartenders wanted us gone from the bar so we paid and went somewhere more chill for the third period. Overall ok, but not for watching a sporting event on a Saturday apparently. Why have TVs if you dont want people sitting down and watching?

Great bar, DJ was not

The owner was terrifying. He screamed in my face multiple times. The amount of aggression he had towards me was just entirely uncalled for, I m a 19 year old girl and he was about 2 whole feet taller than me. He introduced himself and handed me a shot to take with him and after I took the shot, he screamed in my face to get away from him? It felt like some weird creepy setup for him to get to scare a girl 2x smaller than him. This guy is sick in the head and clearly unhinged and unfit to run a bar, I wouldn t be surprised if the place has to get shut down because he hits a girl one day. This person needs to be on a watchlist.

Come here when its busy or when its not so much -- either way youll be satisfied with your visit. Theres a solid selection of beers -- everything from Guinness to unpretentious local beers on tap.

Terrible customer service. I tried calling several times to book a reservation, and eventually had to DM them on Instagram, where they left me on seen and then left me on seen again when I sent a follow up message. Just to get denied entry on the day despite the reservation. Very rude and terrible establishment.

Visited from 11pm-1pm. Great place for 19-30 year old crowd to get drinks and meet people. Service and food are mediocre, but the staff is relatively attractive- so theres that.

The best place around this area to enjoy a delicious meal with your loved ones. The prices are also resonable. Mr. Sasanga, who is incharge of the pizza production area delivers a great service to their customers by providing many varieties of pizza.

This bar isnt just a bar. Its a home within homes. I flew into Waterloo from Vancouver just to come back again after a month from visiting. The staff are incredible, it is a little pricey but when you have quality and great customer service its a no brainier. I wrote a song, and currently a book on them. That is how good this place is with their patrons. Vegetarian options: There were options, however Im not at all Vegetarian. Parking: There is parking but you dont really need to its on the boardwalk of uptown. Kid-friendliness: I dont have kids, but If/When I do, I would be happy to bring them in there.

I visited The Prohibition Warehouse with some friends and had an amazing time! This place is happening, with a young and energetic crowd and a packed atmosphere. Even with 50 people waiting outside, the energy inside was electric and made me feel young again! The food was simply awesome (specially chicken wings), and our server Claire was a real standout. Despite serving so many customers at once, she was incredibly active and managed everything in a great way. Its not easy to keep up with a busy crowd, but Claire made it look effortless. Overall, I highly recommend The Prohibition Warehouse for anyone whos looking for a fun and lively spot with excellent food and service. Just be aware that the crowd can get a bit noisy, so it may not be the best option for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere. But if youre ready to feel young and have a great time, this is definitely the place to be!

Our server was very nice but later when I went to ask for water the blonde bartender wasnt. I asked a brunette bartender for water and she said okay and went to grab it. A minute later a blonde bartender started yelling at me to move out of the footpath (even though there were two large men standing directly in the footpath and i was close to the side). I had to get one of them to ask her for it. I get that drunk customers can get in the way but I was not drunk and there were other customers directly blocking the path. No reason to single me out and be aggressive at all.

Prohibition is one of my favourite spots in town especially on Thursdays for dollar beers and great music! The staff is always friendly and the dj that night always plays a great range of music that doesn t sound like every other bar uptown with the same old pop songs. So if you like 90s hip hop a bit of house and songs you can always sing along to I highly recommend! (The cauliflower bites are also a must try)

Love the patio setup and ambience. The food is tasty and you get cheap offers on appetizers on the weekends. The drinks were really good as well and loved thier service.

Had a few drinks and pizza at Prohibition and the margarita pizza was delicious, highly recommend! We were greeted and served by a young man named Chris and he was extremely kind, our drinks and food came very quickly, excellent service. Had a blast and thank you Chris!

I had a deeply troubling experience with the security guard at The Prohibition Warehouse recently. After waiting for three hours, we were shocked when he demanded $40 cash from each of us just to enter. When we questioned this unfair practice, he threatened not to let us in until 2 am. Even worse, he allowed others to enter ahead of us after they paid. This DISCRIMINATORY behavior is unacceptable, and it marred what should have been an enjoyable night out. I strongly urge the venue to address this issue promptly to ensure a more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all patrons.

40 $ 40 $ 40$ The new price to get a entry in the famous bar of the the city WAREHOUSE for RACISM . Still Indian s are not allowed ? The security person was very rude and pathetic and i have no words. Hope this gets better with time .

My family viseted here and sat in the patio, which had small fire on the table, very nice for September nights. Our waitress was top notch she was wonderful and food was great, food fire pizza was excellent, so good my 5 year old ate a whole pizza, we will be back.

Prohibition Warehouse is an absolute must visit location in Uptown Waterloo. They have an incredible service team, from bartenders to kitchen staff who care about their customers. They have revolutionized the atmosphere to include theme nights such as trivia, live music and open mic night. Trivia on Tuesday with Alex is a cant miss event for locals in KW and their house band, The Alibi, play there every second Wednesday. I have never left disappointed and strongly recommend you check them out!

Absolutely love it here. My friends and I will all agree this is our favorite place to be on the weekends. Specifically, Josh and Denis at the front doors. They always make us feel safe while waiting in line, and the two of them together are so welcoming.

Food was decent with good portions. My wife and I went for dinner. This is more of a bar than a restaurant. Starts happening after 8 pm. The thermostat was set quite cool, likely in anticipation of a crowd, but, too cold to encourage us to drink. Stools were actually quite uncomfortable. Had to park at Waterloo Town Square as parking is quite limited.

This was my first visit on 31st March. I shall share a genuine experience. The place is pretty and ambient. Price of beverages are decent too. I tried a beer pitcher and few shots of gin. Although I was a bit tired for the day and having my beer on the table, no bothering to anyone. The bouncer comes and asks me to leave at 12. It is scheduled till 2AM and I know that. I left without saying a word. Left my wallet, all my cards on the table, as I was asked to hurry up. Overall, it was not worth of my money and time. Never going back. Not even to collect my cards lol.

Ordered the pad Thai and was sent a fries supreme. Doordash said they confirmed twice so the issue was sadly on your end.

I personally feel that the security and the serving staff is top tier at this establishment is outstanding and exceeds all expectations. Theyve made us feel safe and given us a space to enjoy our night out. Thanks to the staff Prohibition Warehouse.

This place has a great atmosphere and is very cheap in price I got the pad that, Im not a pad Thai expert, but I enjoyed it. The gin cocktail wasnt very good, little to no gin in there.

Came for a pint and wings, left filled with pints and wings (and some extra wings in a to go container because these are some decent sized wings). Good flavour choices for the wings, not too many that it made choosing difficult. And the day I visited they had a pint and wings special, which worked out in my favor since I was there for ... you guessed it, a pint and wings.

I get that takeout food wont have the same appeal as eating in but these have got to be the saddest nachos Ive ever seen. The cheese was overdone and there were barely any toppings or flavour going on. Gluten free pizza was sad and small as well. Toppings were sparse. Flavour profile of cardboard. Prohibition house should be prohibited from making food.

Excellent customer service and food

I just wanna share my genuine experience. First, the customer service is not very good. Being an Indian, I noticed discrimination. The server was continuously coming back after 10 minutes to keep a check on us and I don t know why. Putting a fake smile on his face and then pretending that he is doing good customer service. I literally felt that we are the odd one out and they made us feel that we are just going to run after eating the food without paying. We did not enjoy the meal at all coz he was constantly coming back to keep a check on us. Finally , I told the server for the bill and then he just got us the bill within 1 sec lol. We gave the server tip. Anyways not going back there. Not a good place. They should teach their staff about the customer service and also to change their mentality. Every customer is important doesn t matter what their nationality is or DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SOMEONE IS WEARING. CLOTHES WILL NOT DECIDE IF A CUSTOMER CAN AFFORD FOOD OR NOT. Waited for an hour just to sit on that PATIO BUT ALL IN VEINS.

I mush enjoy me meal as well as the respe t I felt as the shelf. Sandy came out looking for my opinion on the wonder meal he put together for me. First Visit and its got five starts. Have to say I much injoy the aroma of the wold burning stove. Thanks for the meal and good time.

We ordered their pad thai and smash burger on Uber Eats. The pad thai was full of charcoal for some reason and the smash burger was raw in the middle. These guys should not be allowed to run a kitchen if this is the quality of the food being put out. Thankfully no one got sick as we threw out the food and got a full refund from Uber but future customers be warned. First and last time we will be ordering from here.

Atmosphere on the patio is excellent. If I was just there for drinks I would give it 5 stars. However I was there for dinner and the food wasnt great. Pierogis were over cooked and tough and the Caprese salad was not as fresh as it should have been

I visited Prohibition last night for the football game and had an incredible experience. Alex and Mckenna had great drink recommendations including a margarita with ginger beer which could be the best drink of my life. Even the GM Adam stopped by to chat sports with me. 10/10 run establishment.

Good place to spend some time with friends

The bar was a good time but the line was awful. Waited in line for over and hour, everyone butt the line and the bouncers wouldn t do anything and encouraged it. You can stand in the same spot for and hour while everyone goes ahead of you and the bouncers say it s your problem

Saw Kenny v Spennt here. Could barely hear them, there was no stage, VIP was given tall chairs so no one could see fully, waiters and waitresses overworked. Long line up and wait for like a 100 person show.... Probably fine for dining out but Prohibition Warehouse is not capable of hosting events. Incompetent even.

Went for the Kenny vs Spenny show last night and the show was the only good thing about the night. The service was absolutely horrible. There were more than enough servers working but none of them were doing their jobs. We got there at 830 and werent served a drink until about 930 and when we ordered a 2nd drink the waitress completely forgot about us and by the time the show was over we never ended up getting our 2nd drinks so in 2 and a half hours we got to have ONE drink. But as soon as I asked for the bill the waitress was so quick to bring the machine over for me pay so you can clearly see whats more important to this place. Will never be dining here again.

One of the last patios open in uptown Waterloo and nice with big firetables. Good selection of food and beers at reasonable prices. Wait staff was a little slow but very nice and personable.
