Best Shawarma in town. I used to live close by, and now I crave it all thev time. You have to eat here.

I always get my chicken shawarma poutine from here. Tried other places but Phillips shawarma flavour and his sauces make the poutine for me. So yum!

company ordered food for the staff , i had chicken sharwarma , it arrived an hour late and was cold , wet and not fresh , looks like they made it 2 hours before delivery , i wont be eating there again

Such an amazing delicious hidden gem! One of the best shawarmas in the city! The Kafta is so delicious! Highly recommend! The food is so fresh and the owners take pride in their business and you can tell from the taste and quality! It is a Must try!

I went today at the end of the day, I got a chicken shawarma wrap, a beef shawarma wrap and a shawarma poutine. everything was perfect, fresh! I will be back more often!!!

The chicken shawarma was authentic and delicious. This is where I got the best shawarma in this town.

The food here is absolutely unmatched. Highly recommend the cabbage salad and lentil soup, as well as everything else. Everyone that works here is so wonderful. If you re looking to support a yummy local business, this is the spot!

Very good vegetarian falafel wrap. Actually I have tried falafel wraps at many places, but its the best here! Recommended!

What an underrated delicious food, atypical for a shawarma place, its made with love. Its been my favourite shawarma place in KW so far. Best hummus: If you buy hummus elsewhere, at a grocery store lets say, you are missing out. Update: I now live outside of the KW area, but whenever I visit, I make sure I pay a visit to the best and neatest shawarma place I have ever been to.

Great food , friendly service

I have tried most shawarma places in waterloo and this is the best one by far. I have been coming here for years now. Food: The choices of sides for the shawarma plate are better than anywhere else in the city. Pita is available on the side as well for less than a dollar. All vegetables are very fresh. The garlic potatos are to die for and you can ask for the white garlic sauce on top as well. The falafel and shawarma wraps are also good. Service: The couple who run the place are very friendly and fast. They recognize return customers and give the place a mom and pop feel. There is seating inside and lots of parking. Vegetarian options: There is falafel and a large selection of salads including lebanese, quinoa, cabbage, and couscous options.

I dont care what any goober or loser thinks, whether they eat lazzeez or osmos or god forbid mozys, Phillip has the shawarma to beat. Eat there and be amazed.

They were very kind to make me my own style of poutine since I usually try to avoid meat, and the sauces are just wow, would definitely visit them again

Good authentic Lebanese shawarma. Fresh tabouleh, good shawarma/sauces/hummus, and other tasty traditional treats like stuffed vine wraps, baba ganoush, and baclava.

Reasonably priced. Decent Shawarma. Fresh veggies and hummus are a nice touch to the Shawarma plate.

Food was good but the service was horrendous(unfriendly). Next time I want this kind of cuisine I will go to Kebab Hut or Shawarma Lounge. It feels like this store will close down in a couple years.

I have had shawarmas all over the province in the last 20 years and Phillips Shawarma ranks in the top 5. Not a massive shawarma but a good price and filling. Flavours were amazing. The worker was pleasant and service was quick!

Respectable shawarma. Good flavour, fresh tabouleh, and decent portions. Update: last time I went the shawarma was from a stored hot plate. Mushy texture, felt like boiled chicken. I have not seen their rotisserie on any time Ive been.... its a hit or miss here.

I just got lunch here for the first time . I ordered falafel which was made fresh as I waited, as well as a chicken shawarma plate & Lebanese salad. Everything was so flavourful and very very fresh . The falafels were the best I ve had in so long .

Fantastic food and fantastic service (very warm reception) I ordered Mixed Plate and Baba Ghanoush. I am delighted, especially because I could find Baba Ghanoush (and a delicious one) which for some reason I couldn t find it in Mediterranean restaurants here in Canada until now. I highly recommend everyone who come to this place to try Baba Ghanoush atleast once and see it for yourself.

I am a Shawarma poutine connoisseur and this is my new go-to fav place. Tried it for the first time and this quaint little restaurant just made me it s fan. Sadika was such a nice lady and the flavors in this poutine have me drooling, the gravy has this pickled taste to it that s soooo gooooddd 100% recommended

My go to lunch when Im working in KW! Great falafel and tons of options. Tastes right and is affordable! Not necessarily the nicest place to sit and eat but thats not what its for IMO! Vegetarian options: Falafel, rice, potatos and so much more. Easy to be veggie or vegan if you know what to order.

The best Shawarma in town, hands down. We go almost every week, and have never been disappointed. Portion sizes are great, the owners are very friendly, and the quality is always top notch. I have convinced all my friends to go and they agree its the best in town.

Not to be dramatic, but if I could give Phillips Shawarma 10 stars I would! I ordered the pasta salad and a shawarma wrap and Ive got to say that was the BEST pasta salad Ive ever had!!! Plus, the wrap was so delicious! Even as leftovers it still tasted just as amazing as the first bite! I would highly recommend this place and I cant wait to go back again (also the portions are on the larger size so one meal turns into 2 meals for me and Im so happy about that!) Thank you so much again and I cant wait to come back :)

There is barely any meat inside the wrap

Barely any chicken in the sandwich. Try putting more chicken, dont be cheap!!! The owner responded that they always put extra chicken for me. Liers it was my first time coming and the last one.

Mixed grill plate, chicken shawarma wrap, garlic potatoes, all divine. 11/10. Make sure to bring home some hummus and garlic sauce for later, and dont forget baklava for dessert!

I ordered today for the first time and I am disappointed. I felt like I was eating salt and rice. Very salty! The kind of salty that shocks you. I am so upset. I just wonder what happened. Sigh. I won t be ordering from here again sadly.

I ordered Falafel Wrap for the first time to try out this shawarma place. Food quantity was good according to price. I cant give more points on quality though because it was salty on one side. All sauces were applied on veggie side and falafel tasted dry without sauce. Also the sauces came out from the bottom and made it soggy at bottom. For the same price range, there are many options available but it felt like a terrible mistake. I ordered on the phone and they said to come after 10 minutes. I left after 15 minutes and reached there after another 10 minutes still the order wasnt ready. Do not over promise if you cant deliver.

Ive tried a bunch of different places around and I prefer Phillips Shawarma. It was saltier and more saucy than some of the others, but I am not looking for a healthy choice when getting takeout. The one reservation I have is that the food is sent in Styrofoam containers Surely they could find a more environmentally friendly solution.

Ive been getting their chicken shawarma wraps for almost 2 years now. Tastes delicious every time, at a price thats quite hard to beat. The reason it s 4 stars is that theres often too much sauce which soaks through the packaging. A bit better quality control would be nice.

In my opinion this place has the BEST tasting shawarma plate. I ve been to 20+ other shawarma places in Waterloo and the GTA and I still think the shawarma plate here is the best. The only downside is that the portions are small.

Decent shawarma place, but after having dined at many shawarma places and observing a lot of differences, a few things to point out that are disappointing. Portion size in general leaves you to desire more, plates and wraps are really not filling. Portions arent generous to say the least, quite the opposite in fact. We sampled both. There are quite a few salad side choices from the traditional iceberg, couscous, radish salad, pasta salad and others. However Im not a fan of being allowed only one choice for salad for a plate that is $12-13 regular price, not counting the weekend special. Other places Ive been to give you at least two to three salad choices. More desired and pretty disappointing considering the solid reviews on this shawarma place.

Im no shawarma expert but this is the best stuff Ive had from anywhere. The shawarma supreme is amazing. Super nice people. If you plan on having it for lunch during work week, call ahead or youll be wasting your lunch break standing in line. People know this place is good so youll be waiting!

Its mediocre at best. The other Google reviews are very confusing to my experience. Ordered the chicken and mixed plate and it was subpar at best. Humus was given, but no pita. The chicken wasnt sliced, but was shredded. We didnt see the original container and it was smothered in sauce on takeout but I would suspect its just old chicken. The meat and rice tasted really salty. Finished what I could being hungry and threw out the rest. The portion sizes are average. People saying they were huge portions are definitely lying on their reviews. Skip this place, unless desperate. Better options in the city.

Their shawarma should be called minced chicken. Small portions compared to other shawarma in KW. Falafel is decent but nothing spectacular. I finished my meal hungry and unimpressed.

Good shawarma but salty sauce. This used to be one of my favorite place for lunch. Good shawarma, fresh veggie, delicious salad. My recent ordered there for the past one year became so salty that I had to throw out the unfinished sharwarma a few times. I started to order without any sauce and its way better. Its a shame cuz I liked their sauce. It wasnt like this a few years ago. Maybe they changed the meat/sauce recipe to contain more salt?

Their daily specials are pretty good deals. Food tastes great.

Made to order falafels is great, the serving for the plate was more than enough. The typical shawrma shop sides are offered. A little expensive but I was definitely full after. Great little shop to get a dinner at.

I love food and I know what shawarma is the best. Today I decided to check this place out. The store is fairly clean but they had some technical issues with their screen menu was showing two different price for the same food. Of course I paid the most expensive price because it was during lunch time. I have problem with two things, old meat that was served from one of those containers and the meat was old, dark and hard/chewy. Plus for pick up order they are asking for tip. Tips are giving when a client is dining in and is being served not when you stand on the line to pick up your food to go. My advice, don t serve the old meat and don t ask tip when it s not earned. FYI, I still gave a tip not sure why.

Chicken plater shawarma is really good. The meat is not dry and the sauces are tasty but not salty at all. If you are into spicy stuff you gonna like their authentic hot sauce. Its not that spicy but very flavourful unlike sriracha. I usually doesnt like salad but i really enjoy their cabbage salad. The only problem for me is the meat portion is a bit small. Its probably good for people who are on diet since they give a generous portion of their tasty salad.

I used to go here because I liked their wraps, but today went there again and the guy charged me $8 for an extra side of salad. When I talked to the person, he just said sorry and nothing. Like how can you charge your customers wrongly when your menu says $4. Atleast have grace with your loyal customers. Never coming back.

The Shawarma Poutine with spicy garlic sauce is exquisite. The family that runs the place plays chilled out Middle Eastern music. Rank 1 for best poutine in Waterloo. The ambience is beautiful and I love the culture !

Family run place that serves great food

I cant brag enough about this place. Ive tried so many Shawarma places in town and Phillips by far, hands down is the best Ive tried (especially the poutine)! Generous portions, fresh ingredients, full flavors, consistent quality. Always my go to!!

Good shawarma at a fair price. Service is always quick and friendly, I was usually in and out within 5 minutes. There is almost always parking directly out front. Not a whole lot of room to eat inside, and no A/C in the summer. I suggest getting your food as takeout.

Good food for a good price

Phillips Shawarma, in my opinion makes some of the best sharwama in the Waterloo area. Ive tried shawarma now in quite a few places in the Waterloo area and subjectively, this is among the best. Ive gotten to know the owners and I will continue to be buying from Phillips on weekends when I have the opportunity to stop by.
