Extremely angry rude waitress!! She was unwelcoming was looking forward to have breakfast there but unfortunately her actions made us leave ..,

Were from out of town, found this place on google and headed over there. Open sign was on, come in sign was out, but the doors were locked, and the lights were off inside. It said it was open until 2pm, we were there shortly after 1pm. I called the phone number on Google and got no answer. Waste of our time driving over to there for that.

Had Breakfast with my lady this morning food was awesome Pete thank you ,not sure who the server was but wow !! Lady needs a lesson in customer service or simply doesnt care .Last visit had great service from Brianne .Ill be calling ahead to see if she will be serving next tiwme .When a customer says he is ready to order do not walk away to have a conversation with your buddies . You didnt even check on us once and it was not busy??Unprofessional!! Stay home if you dont care !

Sitting here looking at a uncooked waffle and watching the waitress walk by 10× with no interaction....coffee NEVER refilled... terrible experience

My daughter and I had the worst experience eating here today. The food didnt come as ordered and when we asked them to please make our breakfast as it was ordered, the waitress started arguing with us. Then, when she took our plates back to the kitchen, very rude, loud comments from the kitchen were heard by us and the table beside us. And they even commented to us on how they couldnt believe what was being said. We got our bill and nothing on it was right and the waitress tried to blame it on the machine. If you look at all the rude comments from the owner, on the customer reviews, you will see for yourself how poorly managed this restaurant truly is. Very rude atmosphere. We definitely will never go back and will for sure tell all our friends in Welland & surrounding area so no-one ever has to experience this.

I just wanted to share my experience today after placing an order for takeout. The order was wrong after telling the cook as well as the waitress. So I placed a review to which I was rudely replied back from the owner of establishment. I was told to basically stay home next time. Is this how restraunts reply back to their customers. Instead of replying that you were sorry for the mistake and hope I would try again, I am told to basically stay home. I understand mistakes are made but when you say the order not once but twice I would expect that there wouldn t be a mistake, not like it was busy, since the cook was sitting as well as the waitress when I entered with only 1 other customer within the establishment. I think you as an owner need to brush up on your customer service tactics instead of being rude, you can t retain customers by being rude because you didn t like the review. But don t worry I will stay home and will order somewhere else in the future. There are plenty of breakfast diners within Welland that are better spoken to their customers. Word of mouth is what keeps businesses open and as I can see after further investigating I am not the only person to which received a rude reply to their review. So have a nice day.

Diner style breakfast and lunch. Ive been for breakfast before which was good but this time we had their bacon cheeseburger, I have to say it was the best burger Ive had. Messy and yummy! Lol. Server filled my coffee without me asking. Will definitely be back. Just fyi cash only or (ATM avail) and they do close early 2pm. We got there around 1:15 was served and out of there before 2

Burnt toast my toast, coffee was good, menu had good options.

The service was slow and inattentive. I was there with my two and three-year-old, and the waitress never checked on us at any point after serving the food and forgot to bring the drinks.

As a server I could tell everyone was ordering at once without the comfortable stagger, or very close together. As tables were turning over. You ladies rocked it! Our first time here , Jan29th and if I could put 10 stars I would. Fantastic breakfast. Freakin greek omelette was exquisite, i wish i had taken a picture of it , unfortunately i was too busy shovelling it down. Servers BobbiJo and Joanne are a delight. Price is good for the size of the plate. Waitress was exceptional with the coffee offering many time for refill. Everything was as I wanted it and the peameal was a great change from the typical breakfast place. The dont take card but have an ATM and with what the banks and credit cards are doing I have absolutely no problem. With a mom and pop Making this change. More than a refuge from the hospital.

The Owner is very rude not just to my wife and Son. I work hard to get good food not bacon that s super burnt and potatoes barely cooked to the Customer (KEYWORD) Liking there money hungry and just wanna look pretty when your honestly fake. Very disappointed in how they treated us meaning black families. I asked them to fry the potatoes how it usually Donne and they didn t even make it for us held a grudge from before and yelled at which was uncalled for as customers who help give you money and business you are suppose to cook the food to the customers liking not just yours okay so please remember this going or moving forwards thanks

First time coming here. I got the fish and chips and it was wonderful I couldnt believe how big the fish was. Great portions definitely going to go back

My favourite breakfast place in town. Great portion sizes, the price is reasonable (especially for the portion size) and I always leave with a full belly! Friendly and attentive waitresses, always on the ball with refilling your coffee and getting what you need promptly. 100% recommend this place to everyone!

This is an amazing place to get breakfast. The prices are totally reasonable the food is very good, and the staff is super friendly. I have been here before and will be back again and again. Best damn banquet burger I have had in my life.

Sometimes when you travel to different places for work or just to explore smaller towns in your back yard you come across hidden gems, this place was one of them. Great food and super family that run it. Best thing I have found in welland. If you love roadtrips and great food as I do. Get iut for breakfast.

Should be NO stars for the service was terrible. 5 of us was asked to wait for 15mins til tables were available, then 2 customers showed up after and was seated to our table we were waiting for. The cook said sorry but I am too behind so wait 25mins or just go somewhere else. Ignorant.!!

Careless staff

We showed up with 5 people. We were told a 15 wait. Couple came in. Took one of the tables that was being cleared for us. Server didnt seem to care that we now have to wait 25 minutes. Cant review food cause I didnt get to try it. Will never go again and will tell others to avoid it. Its not the fact it happened, it was how it was dealt with. Its understandable if a business is busy but when you give a table away in front of a customer it better come with an apology. Guess its good the table thief is friends with the chef. They claim they are swamped but they have time reply to the bad review.

Waited for 15 mins as asked and then our tables were given to cooks friend. Then said another 25min wait but best to go somewhere else. Never coming back. They had 2 tables ready for us until the cooks friends showed up after and one of the tables was given to them. Simply rude and service was outrageous

I went in today for a nice birthday breakfast and left with more than a full belly. It was so chaotic in there. The waitress called in so they made due and had their kids work. They did their best but there needs to be order. They almost gave us someone elses food as we were finishing ours. The girls need their own designated tables and numbered if They are going to work together. Itll help with all of the confusion. I left full of anxiety. Cant say Ill be back.

Decided to try a new breakfast place and I really wish I hadnt. I am surprised by how many good reviews the Breakfast Barn has because my experience was really disappointing. The food was just bad. The service was bad. The coffee was weak. The servers were like 12 years old!? The home fries were not cooked, and when I mentioned it to the waitress, she said she would remove them from my bill, but she still charged me the entire price. Save yourself from a bad experience and an upset stomach. Just dont go here.

Excellent food and portions, fair price. The only negative thing is their side hussle . Bring cash, as that s all they accept. Otherwise you will be forced to use their $2.50 fee (plus your bank fee) ATM machine.

For the first time, it was a very good experience. The waitress was attentive, not annoying, personable and friendly and the meal was top shelf.

First time going today. Placed my order asked for no salad. When my order came to the table there was salad. I said I didnt want salad her reply was the cook does whatever he want. So what was the point in ordering? There was no offer to fix it.. She didnt come back to our table. First and last time I go back there.. Service was horrible.

First off bring cash. The breakfast was great! They were a little short on home fries so they brought me out a whole extra plate of fresh ones when they were ready and they werent skimpy on the bacon like a lot of places are. The waitress was fantastic. I would recommend if youre looking for a nicely priced breakfast with great portions and a friendly staff, I barely managed to finish with all the extra home fries.

Awesome place for breakfast, when I called and asked about hours the lady on the phone was very friendly. I am excited to physically eat there in person when covid is all dealt with. Very good french toast and Eggs Benedict. Would recommend at any time of the day. Better than places like Cora.

Today. I was offered curbside breakfast. Presumably from the owner of the Breakfast barn. What made it stand out besides its deliciousness. Was the fact I didnt order it, and it was served to me while operating an excavator. Not to mention the owner wouldnt accept any money for it. Probably the most generous thing Ill have happen to me this year. Thank you breakfast barn from the telecon crew.

We ordered through Skip and picked it up, portion was generous and food was amazing! Pancakes were so good! Would definitely get breakfast here again.

AMAZING BREAKFAST! Our go-to place. Big portions, fresh and delicious. Small details make it that much better. Pancakes sprinkled with icing sugar, topped with sliced fresh strawberries and some whip cream on the side for dipping. I should have taken a picture but it looked so good I had to dig in right away.:) Thank you Breakfast barn.

The waitress did an incredible job. She was attentive came back several times to see if we needed anything. She did this with all patrons. I am rating this a three for the owners. The only employee who had a mask on was the bus boy. The waitress did not. Not following covid protocol.

Waitress didn t wear a mask when serving us which I didn t really care about honestly. What really ticked me off was when I heard the female waitress joking about me not tipping them when they thought I asked for all my change back. The food was really good but the tipping ignorance was insulting.

Cook/chef always seems mad as he seems to always be rushing as his orders are late. If you sit near the kitchen you can hear him berating the other staff for not doing their job right. Food is good.

I ordered the big country breakfast special, and I was not disappointed. The bacon was perfect, crispy but not over done. The eggs which I ordered over medium couldve been cooked a little more, but they can be hard to get perfect. The eggs still tasted great. The sausage was par for the course, but the pancakes, they were the centre piece. I think they may have been the best pancakes Ive ever had. Fluffy and thick, and not oversized while still being sizable enough to satisfy. I cant sing higher praises. I will definitely be trying lunch and dinner in the near future!

It is a small place but has good breakfast food. The food comes out quick and served hot. Nice staff with bright seating for about 40.

Utensils are dirty, cups are dirty , walls are dirty, toast comes out soggy, home fries are terrible like chunky raw potatoes, just avoid this dump, also there is no air condition so it really has that authentic feel like youre having breakfast in a dirty old barn

Came here during Canada Day Monday long weekend. It was busy but not packed so we were able to get a seat anywhere. Bottom line: Greasy spoon with decent options for breakfast. Food was often undercooked with less than stellar service. Food: good portions, cheap and cheerful, bacon wasnt cooked enough (so the fat wasnt rendered and therefore chewy and not crisp), toast was under toasted, eggs over easy was very oily and home fries with added onions werent awesome with onion bits that were undercooked and not caramelized. Everything was just slightly undercooked. Service: we got our coffee at a decent speed and ordered within 5 mins thereafter. Waitress was fine but didnt look like she cared or wanted to be there. We never got our maple syrup for our French toast and we didnt have cultery. Our bill came before we finished our food. Cash only business with no visible signs for dine safe.

We stopped here while on our way to our cottage, it was quiet and decently priced. Didnt enjoy my French toast bread was dry and lacked taste. The same was for the pancakes. We had our kids with us and the pancakes were massive for a kids meal. It got pretty busy not long after we got there, so I understand why everyones last reviews complained about it. The waitress was very pleasant and made sure we were all comfortable. They only accept cash so itd be smart to walk with it. They do have an ATM on site I recall.

My childs breakfast was brought out black. The bacon crumbled..it was like coal and the toast was black. Not sure why the cook would send that out and the server would serve it? Especially to a kid. She never came back to see how it was and i told her about the breakfast when she brought me the bill and she was annoyed with me. Wont be going to this location again but the port colborne location has always been great.

Awful. Firstly, they dont take debit/credit, and they dont tell you this on the phone when you order. Second, the food is garbage. Will never order from there ever again. So many better options in Welland. This place is trash.
