Food is OK for being the only sushi spot in Welland. Expect to wait for pick up. I ordered online pick up at 6:54pm quoted 7:23pm pick up. I arrived at 7:31pm and had to wait for my food to be made.

Dealing with customers is always rude, especially in the afternoon.

Tapioca pearls often undercooked or just hard because they have been sitting too long. Poke and rice bowls always halfway full. My drink wasnt even properly mixed either, with syrup all stuck to the sides of the cup. Chicken in my poke bowl this time was very obviously a chopped up frozen chicken tender, when previously they used to use fresh chicken. I used to order here a lot but the quality has gone down significantly. Cant say Id order again.

Go here often and enjoy the food. Today I was very upset. I ordered the chicken teriyaki roll which is the roll of the day on Wednesday. $10 for 12 pieces. They did not honour that deal because I didn t tell them it was the roll of the day. Staff blamed me and said it is my job to tell them I am getting the roll of the day. Apparently they don t know their deals. That was awful customer service! Though I understand I only asked for one roll, how am I supposed to know that for the roll of the day you need to ask for two rolls to get that deal? That s silly to me, it should then be posted that when you order the roll of the day make sure to ask for two rolls. The sign only says Wednesday roll of the day, chicken teriyaki roll 12 pieces, that gave me no indication that means ask for two rolls. And at no point when I was in the store saying that I thought I was getting the roll of the day when I asked for the chicken teriyaki roll did they say if you pay the difference we will give you the additional pieces. Instead they just made sure I was aware that I ordered wrong and gave zero effort to fix it. Which is unfortunate since I only get my sushi from your store (well I did)

I was there last night. The lovely young woman who waited on me skipped the tip option when I paid by card. I told her to go back so I could tip her. This makes me wonder if the employees actually get the tips.

It was so bad experience to spend money for the poke bowl actually the restaurant should pay me to eat from it. The rice was so bad and no taste for the sauce because it s a little. The mix if vegetable not taste and no soya sauce or any sauce Experience I ll not repeat it

We have gone here twice and have never been disappointed. The tapioca was rock solid hard and the drink didn t even taste like taro. We will not return.

Disappointing, the quality seems to be lacking lately. Not only were the rolls super warm but missing half the ingredients and just thrown together.

Expensive items with small portions, no discount for combos, mandatory tip included in your price that doesnt go to the driver. Many items on the website are mislabeled and the site randomly stops working, forgetting your saved order. I cannot speak for the dine in or takeout experience, but if the delivery is any indication, I will not be ordering here again.

Complete waste of money and incredibly disappointing. Ive ordered from here a few times however not within the last 6 months. I ordered a rice bowl with beef and broccoli. The rice tasted awful. The beef was dry and chewy. The broccoli had a weird taste to it. The only thing I ate was the spring roll they give with it. I only ate it cause I was starving and didnt have much else to eat in the house. This was such a disappointing experience, I dont think Ill be ordering again anytime soon.

Tried the salmon poke bowl. It was excellent. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend it. Can t wait to try the other items on the menu.

The sushi rolls are ok at best, basic. The tempura shrimp was clearly made ages before my order as it was dry and hard. Worst of all they sent no wasabi with my sushi rolls which were pretty small. Underwhelming overall.

Ordered a rice bowl and they gave me the wrong one. I walked in showed them my order was wrong the lady inside said what do you want me to do and told me to pay for another rice bowl. In the end Charlie chopsticks would not fix there mistake and told me they did not care if I dont come back.

Grate place for quick sushi and poke bowls

Order take out from here, been curious to try and hoping this would be a good Welland sushi place. It was ok, had better at other places wont order from here again.

Sushi rolls were ok. Seaweed wrapper was off. Not very good. Poke bowl was ok. Tuna was cubed really tiny and not a lot of it. Flavor was ok in poke. Price was a bit high for the quality.

I ve had good experiences with the food here other than super long service, small portions and high prices. I got the pork chilli bowl today, it was good until I realized that all of the pork was fat. I m not picky, I m not exaggerating- the entirety of the meat was fat. It s like they shaved off the edge of a pork roast that s the fat trimmings and threw it on rice. I called to complain nicely and was not treated well by what I assume was the owner, very passive aggressive and didn t care. Offered to bring the food back to show the fat and get a different one they said I d need to pay. Come here if you have money to burn and an entire night to kill waiting for a lard bowl. Just started coming here regularly and I m from the area and you just lost a customer

Really enjoyed my first experience! The food was great and came out quickly and was a great portion size! Fair pricing as well. The staff was helpful and polite. They have many options I look forward to trying in the future. Thanks guys!

Just tried Charlie s Chopsticks for takeout, which was a great experience. The food was tasty, and the service was quick and friendly. I ll be ordering from here again!

Ordered 5 rolls through uber and received only one dip when I paid .75 cents per dip per order of rolls. One dip for 30 rolls and no soya sauce, ridiculous. A few of the rolls were on the harder side as if the rice was exposed to air for too long. They offered me free rolls BUT wont let me pay for delivery. I dont drive. Wont be ordering from them any more. Edit to add: What a great and professional reply! I gave my honest review, dont like it? Then do better.

I would always go here 2 years ago for food and the bowls, sushi, and alternate items were great. I went in today for a salmon rice bowl and what I got was a Grey, sloppy, under cooked mess, I took one bite and knew something was off due to how off the texture and taste were. I dont know what happened to this place but the quality has fallen immensely.

I think Im done with this place. I usually just get a couple sushi rolls and bubble tea. It all tastes decent, HOWEVER.... My last three orders have wrong and my wife and I have felt like garbage (not going into details) since eating there last night. Place has really gone downhill.

Great drinks

After hearing so many good things I decided to try this place out. Literally disappointed beyond expectations. Horribly rolled, manky end pieces. I had even set up with the expectation that this was my first visit. I was hopeful. Staff was bland and unfriendly. The woman working was uninterested in anything other than getting the customers out the door. When I asked for more than the two packs of Wasabi, I feel like she was poking fun at me for asking for more I didnt think 3 packs for three rolls was to much to ask. Recently I have been making my way around to a few local sushi places and this is on the bottom of the list. Drive to Sushi Paradise in St Catharines and save yourself. After reading some of the Google reviews its seems they have been going downhill and struggling with excuses for a while. Literally the grocery store sushi at Sobeys is better. Never again. Want my business back. Show me why. I regret not taking photos. Avoid at all costs.

It was horrible, I was already really hungry and I was waiting about 20 minutes and then they gave my food out to the wrong person and told me to go ask that person to buy me food but they were already gone then she preceded to tell me I was in the wrong for not grabbing my food yet they handed it to them. And they preceded to tell me it s my problem, on top of that I was late for school because of this incident. My order was also 20$ and I left with nothing but hunger and anger.

i ve ordered 3 rice bowls from this place . first one i ordered had 2 incredibly small pieces of chicken bone in them , i bit down on one and it actually slightly chipped one of my teeth , and while upset , i didn t complain because i recognize that that kind of thing could be easy to miss if it s in the chicken itself , although i still can t figure out how incredibly small (like half the size of a rice grain) pieces of bone that presumably chipped off of something would be there in the first place. the second one was good ! i only write this review because of the bowl i received today . upon first glance , it looked fine, chicken is always cooked efficiently (thank god) but i immediately noticed the vegetables were undercooked , the broccoli in particular . i shrugged it off , not seeing this as a huge problem , but as soon as i took my first bite , i was immediately hit with an unbearably salty taste , one i hadn t even remotely experiences in my previous bowls . i noticed some of the rice was a darker colour , and i m hoping that the taste wasn t soy sauce , as i have celiac disease and consumption of gluten could render me bed ridden for multiple days . i do recognize that i keep forgetting to exclude the spring roll from my order (i handed it to my mum and she mentioned that it was awful before i even had brought up my concerns with the bowl), and while contamination is important and could harm me , it won t do nearly the amount of damage pouring soy sauce onto the rice could . i didn t consider it to be soy sauce at first though , it was so strong that i had assumed someone had literally just sprinkled salt all over the top of the bowl . because there is a generous amount of rice in the bowl , i figured mixing everything would be the end of my problems . but it wasn t . whatever the salty taste originated from had seeped into much of the rice grains at the top of the bowl and wouldn t mix , so each attempted bite was a 50/50 chance of being fine or incredibly salty . the salt rendering the meal inedible is STILL not what lead me to writing this review . while attempting to mix the rice more , i felt my fork hit a hard lump in the rice . i tried stabbing it with my fork but it didn t budge the inside was rice that had completely cemented together , entirely uncooked and wasn t even a small amount either , this was at least two decent sized bites of rice that had supposedly gone unnoticed . the attached video is to show exactly how much effort was required to crack the thing in half . i work in the food industry , so i don t like making reviews on account of harming the business , i really only write this because it s obviously a result of pure laziness , not honest mistakes that we all can admit we ve made from time to time . that is why i gave the first bowl (and honestly the majority of my sushi orders) a pass . undercooked vegetables , salt that makes the meal inedible , and a giant rock of rice all within one bowl is unacceptable . this is an issue and instead of trying to nickel and dime everything including charging for extra cutlery on the delivery apps (which , by the way , is misleading , because although you send cutlery anyways , many restaurants do not so people may assume they HAVE to pay 25 cents for a pair of chopsticks) , and making sauce containers so small that you couldn t dip the sushi even if you wanted to , there needs to be resolve in regards to food preparation . i saw in previous reviews from a couple months ago that there had been attempted resolve in kitchen staff , but it seems as though nothing has changed . do better , because even those of us will receive the most bland meal and continue to order are getting frustrated . also , you need to warn customers before you begin adding allergens to a dish by including it to the list of ingredients , if it actually was soy sauce .

Excellent food! Customizable sushi rolls and rice bowls for such a cheap price and a wide selection of drinks. 20$ for a 6 piece roll, seaweed salad (so good by the way) and a drink. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants sushi on a budget.

I order from here all the time with my family! My Go-To place for years! I always recommend it to my workers, friends, and family since I enjoy it so much. This place has amazing teriyaki sauce as well. There will always be bad a review (probably from a bad batch), but overall you guys are awesome. I addition, the staff are kind and very reasonable. To the people saying, the containers are too small to dip etc I always fully dip my rolls in sauce so Im confused as a customer what they mean?? Keep it up guys

Fantastic place to get sushi! I also really enjoy their slush drinks. Only thing to keep an eye out for is if youre ordering 2 rolls, one for a vegetarian, one with meat. Most people put them in 2 seperate containers, but occasionally they will go to put them in the same container.

1.5hrs to get my food and paid nearly $50. The portion was pitiful. All you can each is cheaper and that is a ripoff. And for the record its only the BEST sushi in town cuz its the ONLY sushi in town. That is like me saying It was the best sushi I ate all day.....

Last week I posted I would love to try it but every time I call they have run out of sushi. And both times I called it was within an hour after they opened. It is disappointing because there are no other sushi spots in Welland. Get more sushi in there please! But they replied right away! I ve ordered 4 times from this restaurant. The first time I ordered dumplings, spring roll and lemongrass pork rice everything was there except for soy sauce that was supposed to come along with the dumplings and spring roll, and the sweet chilli sauce was sent to me as if I begged them for it. I was disappointed the first time but that isn t stop me from ordering again as I genuinely loved the food. I ordered again requesting them to send sweet chilli sauce with please and thank you, this time they sent 1 soy sauce for dumplings and spring roll all together and very less sweet chilli sauce in the rice bowl. I was disappointed again. The next time two times I didn t ask for anything, and they ended up not sending soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce I had to have the appetizers as it is, dry with no sauce. Food is good but idk what the staff are thinking when they re preparing orders for doordash or what they think when they see the name or something but this was really sad. We expect a full meal and will be eagerly waiting at home to have the dish displayed in the pictures but when it comes half fulfilled , it s disappointing. Hopefully this is rectified. Thank you

Decent prices and stylish restaurant

The reviews are accurate- the food is not great, but edible. The rolls were much better than the sashimi salmon which was fishy, wrong temperature, and made you feel like you might be sick. I ordered $75 worth of food and wasted most of it. Got about $10-12 worth of value. The portions were good and nice size rolls, but everything tasted old and dried out or close to expiry. My order was also late even after taking an hour and 5 minutes to prepare it still came 5-10 min late. I requested ASAP and it was 9:55 and the order said delivery time you requested: 10:55 which was not true. Still came at like 11:05+. At night. Like man. Almost knocked on my neighbors front door and woke them up. Anyway, I will never order again from there. I was not mad or upset, just sorely disappointed. Big let down and made me sad. Also wasted so much food, which I HATE and absolutely cannot afford. So no, never again. Don t Bother save your money and go out for sushi the next day.

Their salmon is not fresh, i got my sashimi salmon frozen with small peaces of ice still inside. It didnt taste fresh at all. I ordered sashimi salmon 6 times or more. I only had fresh salmon twice.

Its always good and what I ordered, the bubble tea is really yummy. My only complaint is once I had hair in my sushi and their sushi is often not rolled properly/fails to hold its form and stay together. Decent place either way

I ordered from here on Uber Eats for the second time today. The first time (a few months back) when I ordered, the food was pretty good. But today the sushi was so disappointing. I never felt the need to write a review before in my life but this was so bad that I had to. I left the roll of spicy salmon untouched because after the first one I realized the salmon was bad. It was slimy and not fresh at all. It came in a small cardboard box so the sushi was a little messy (which was fine). Plus they had not given me any soy sauce or wasabi... I really hope they do better in the future especially because eating bad fish can make a person really sick.

After employee refused to admit they over charged me when I have proof, I found a bug in my food. A moth to be specific.

It use to be really good but it s gotten continually worse other the years. They once served us Salmon that was just a grey slice of something it was grey through and through so it wasnt the skin photo added below. This was taken a bit ago before they switched their bowls the smell stinks up the house and the beef tastes super low quality especially for the cost even the broccoli is undercooked. They skimp on anything extra as well. Im updating this as it also made me sick to my stomach shortly after finishing. I wouldn t recommend anything from here.

Perhaps not the best quality sushi in niagara, but I assure, the prices are fantastic and it all tastes great! Ive had almost every roll by now and the poke bowl. Off to try the tuna sashimi Poke right this second. A great place for Welland with a speedy and energetic staff.

noice food

Tuesday I ordered 2 things of beef rice bowls with teriyaki and broccoli and two trays of sushi. The rice bowls were all fat. It was so disgusting and dry I had to add my own sauce to the bowls and remove the fat (meat) I have only gone to the restaurant once in the last four years because the lady there had bad customer service. So years later i try to give it a second shot and the meat wasnt meat at all, just fat! I posted photos .

I try and make an order and I asked for delivery and they tell me there not doing It atm like wdf it says u got delivery till 2 and now u say you dont i would never recommend this place to anyone......

This place is absolutely great! Everything from the price of their menu items, to the quality of their food, the flavours... everything is fantastic! Their rice bowls are one of my favourite things and their custom rolls are incredible! Overall a great place for lunch or dinner or late night snack! Couldn t recommend it more.

Ive picked up once, ordered delivery 4 or 5 times. Always been great, delivery always on time and never had any issues with ordering from their website. Sushi always fresh and tastes great.

The sushi was poorly put together and tased bland. I also had the crunchy suprise of a piece of avacado peel in my sushi.

Super disappointing!! The plastic containers they use for takeout are so shotty that my sushi arrived all mangled up, and half had even ended up loose in the delivery bag. Food quality was low, the chicken they used was overcooked, fatty and unpleasant. Absolutely not worth the money, do not order from here!

Such fresh sushi. Always customers here. 4 cars here when we arrived st 10:30pm. Staff were great, patient, and helpful. Love the options to customize your own sushi, and so many sauce or dip flavors. Had 3 different rolls, chicken dumplings, spring rolls, and a slush drink. All were delicious!

Thoroughly enjoyed our order. They were quick and friendly and the food was great. We even placed our order at the wrong location by accident and the staff were so calm about letting us know and helping us cancel it there and they got it ready for us in less than 15 minutes. Delicious. Love my acacado sushi, and seaweed starter. Prefer real crab that Id get in BC but here in Ontario j I skip it as imitation crab sucks. Like edename but none here. Still it was fast and done exactly as I like it so 5 stars to that and the deliciousness. Whats not to love.

Food was ok. But the order and delivery process let me haviyto pickup the food instead of delivery an hour after it was due to be delivered. Then we found two of the dishes we ordered were missing.

I ordered Skip the Dishes from Charlies and it said 50 minute wait time, so having to work in an hour, I called the store asking why so long. 10 minutes later they text me and tell me theyve called the police about my phone call.
