I'm actually pretty disappointed with my order. My wife and sons order were fine, but my banana split was a 0 star in my books. I barely had any ice cream. They tried to hide it with whip cream. And of course I didn't have time to go in and complain. Not sure if I will be visiting this location any time soon.

Not the greatest experience, ordered blizzards in the takeout window, after exceptional long waiting period when it wasn’t that busy ahead of us. We received all our spoons inside our blizzard without lids on them. Given no option for anything, but, when I said, we’re at the take out window taking it to go, we want lids, she stuffed regular straw style lids over top of the spoons, and squishes all ice cream into it. Doesn’t display the ice cream, nor show that it’s frozen. Gave us zero napkins as well. As normally it’s customary to receive the napkins and spoons before you get your ice cream, we waited forever, and didnt get the best experience.
Went through the drive thru and tried their bacon backyard ranch burger with rings and it all came fresh and hot. Came in around 1:30 and only waited around 3 minutes when I arrived at the window. Only complaint I have is about the buns for the burgers, the double patties slide off the buns since they're so small but other than that everything was amazing.
Didnt ask if I was collecting points and didn’t ask if I wanted a receipt. Asked for it later, said they couldn’t do it. Tone came off as I should’ve known. Blizzard was great.
Arrived at the restaurant and waited to order. Staff walked by and ignored me while doing a checklist while 2 others were laughing and talking by the take out window. Finally one person came over to take my order and I had to step back because they literally smelt so bad I almost threw up. Then after i paid 45 dollars for 3 combos she gave me burnt food. What is happening to these chains.
Unfortunately, this Dairy Queen is not what it used to be. The Blizzards come out melted as though they are milkshakes, the Misty Freeze cannot NOT be blended, and the staff just don’t give a rip. I don’t think it’s asking too much to not blend a product, but apparently the world will come to an end if the ice cream and the slushy aren’t mixed together. For the price you are paying, Marble Slab or Cool Licks is a far better option in Welland.
Um so, all I can say is pink chicken? It's not that hard. Should have known when the drink machine had no ice that we were in for a good time. I’ll let ya know if I'm hospitalized. LOL

Fast food at a reasonable price and closing at a decent hour. And they actually let you order water in a cup, instead of forcing you to pay for a 2$+ bottle like Mcdonalds

My son went to the store on Saturday night and got 3 blister and a chocolate Sunday an they gave him no lids and they melted all over his trucks
please hire people that cna understand you when ordering. this is absolutely terrible customer service and i cant believe they can hire people that we ourselves can not understand nor could understand us. it took 10 mins for our order to be taken and still repeated back to us incorrectly. we didnt have the patience to repeat the order over and over while a line formed behind us. PLEASE DO BETTER THIS SUCKS.
Very quick service, dinner room was clean. Only issue is the parking/drive through lines. Parking: When the drive through line gets backed up it blocks many parking spots. Kid-friendliness: It s an ice cream shop, kids love it.
Ordered a choco-cherry lovers Blizzard. Was given a chocolate cherry sundae. When I said I ordered a Blizzard they argued with me. Luckily I wasnt alone in the car. They gave me the sundae, which I didnt want (it wasnt worth eating) and a cherry Blizzard with no chocolate pieces. It was terrible. This was a great DQ but not anymore. I dont plan on going back.
Ask first girl about getting a bigger cake a slab not a round, she could not understand me. Same with second employee finally a 3rd employee finally understood and kept telling me to come back tomorrow. I said no Im asking if you have any ready to go now. no no come tomorrow. Finally I just grabbed the largest round and paid to left. So frustrating. I speak very clear and Precise english. I cant imagine anyone being able to order here if they have any kind of a Speech impediment. From now on I will order online and go to niagara falls to pick up. Please do better

I went this dairy queen for asking about job but they are so rude towards me as when i asked to a girl she started showing bad facial expressions . She ignored me badly one my friend worked their for a month but they didn t pay her. It was such a bad experience of working in dq for her. If think they should be polite and friendly with their customers instead of being studs.

Went to buy a cake for a birthday stood waiting for 1 of the five people working there to cash us out no one in the store but us , had to put the cake back into the freezer because it started to melt! Then once they finally noticed us standing there they were still reluctant to serve us! Used to use this location all the time for cakes since its been taken over by new owners the service has gone downhill fast! No one wants to do their job!

Went in to order a cake and used the book they have on display at the front of the store full of options for images they can put on cakes. Apparently they can t do ANY of the pictures in that book, we have to find our own and email it. When asked why they even have the book out if that s the case we couldn t get a straight answer. Huge waste of time and terrible customer service.

Went in to get a 1$ blizzard from the app. But when I went to use it..it was gone. Manager was sitting and came right up to see what was happening. Was very friendly and explained why it wasnt showing ( my own error) Definitely a great store Food

Came to the drive-thru ordered a few items tonight upon returning home one of the items was wrong we called immediately was told to come back and we would have it replaced! My wife returned to have the item replaced, the girl she spoke to at the front counter was beyond ignorant, rude and unprofessional, refused to remake it because she never returned the old one , never told us to bring the old one back either so its sitting in my sink melted because its ice cream ! My wife then asked for a refund she returned the money incorrectly but returned it nonetheless, Which made absolutely no sense!! My wife asked for the managers name she refused to give managements name she refused to give her name or time a manager could be reached at . Would really like a manager to contact me so we can discuss the situation Especially since we are locals and come here often..! Very disappointed with the customer service of this young girl and the complete ignorance!

The staff are not very personable. They had a hard time understanding us just as we did them. In- store the food is great and hot when you get it. Order for delivery and the food is cold, they dont give full servings of food. They do not care if a customer gets the wrong order or an incomplete - as far as they are concerned, the order left the restaurant no longer their concern.

Usually, I went through the drive-thru but went in tonight as we were kid free. I realized the staff there are super busy, especially on a Friday night of a nice day, but their attitudes are super disappointing. About 35 mins before closing we ordered pretzel sticks and two ice creams the girl at the counter was so rude about it would take 5 mins for pretzels implying heavily she didnt want us to order them, sorry honey, not changing my mind. The. She grumbled walked away after taking payment, no thank you, F You, or have a nice evening. The churro ice cream is gross BTW. But honestly. I was so disappointed youre there to serve customers until 930pm. And Im sorry if everyone is coming all at once, but we, your customers are what keeps your business running. Perhaps if your not willing to put on a happy, maybe you should find a different line of employment. Ill drive to the falls for my dairy queen from now on.
What a terrible experience. Indoors closes at 9:00pm Drive thru closes at 9:30. Arrive at 8:59pm, drive thru is 12 cars long, 1 person in line inside. Get out of my car, open the door (it s unlocked), go inside to line up. Worker tells me to go line up outside. Ok but we re inside, lined up already. You re honestly going to make me drive to the end of the outside line and line up? Wow. Dairy Queen in Welland is just terrible. It has been for a long time.
Way too expensive - no real difference between a medium or large except the price for a large is way more but they give you a medium size instead.

Went to the drive through. Asked if they had dilly bars and they said to hold on. It took them several minutes to come back but my children changed their minds and we got hot fudge sundaes instead. I asked for extra fudge but they didnt give me any extra. I wont be back here again
A bit of a line but with the temperature being 24 degrees it was understandable. The line moved quickly and the order came quickly. Great service, good food. Only down side is the parking lot which is a bit small

This is a overall review of Dairy Queen, although this store is included. We (consumers) are seeing shrinkflation everywhere and DQ is obviously on board. I had a few Blizzards in the past few weeks from various locations and there is only enough ingredients in it to believe they accidentally fell into the cup. Luckily for me the ingredients matched my order. Half of a teaspoon of pecans is robbery when you are charging $6. But at least your shareholders are happy and thats what is important.
It was good, the ice cream is good. But other than that there is nothing wow.

I m overall extremely unimpressed about everything this location has to offer. I ll start off by saying the service was absolutely TERRIBLE. I was treated with so little respect, that I m surprised they still have their jobs. Might I add that they cannot for the life of them EVER make my order properly, it s embarrassing on their behalf. I also found it EXTREMELY rude of them to take up to 10 minutes to even make my order once I ve already payed at the window, and they all stood in a circle speaking their own language and laughing. I ll never be going to this location again. And like I said before, it s unbelievable how these people still have their job.

Still a good place but we ordered a medium strawberry smoothy , got a strawberry Sundae and then we were told they no longer have smoothies on the menu? Feeling a little cheated and lied to here. And frankly it wasnt even that great looking of a Sundae. Was very much a this wasnt what you want but take it or leave it thing

Went to this location 30 mins before closing and the staff had the lights turned out, not thinking anything of it until we went inside to order due to drive thru being busy and the staff asked us to go back outside and order from the drive thru.. There were other people inside as well who the staff were being very rude to and arguing with about not letting people order from inside. They close at 930 but obviously didnt want any customers coming by, so thats why they had the lights out. We ended up leaving because who wants to give business or money to people that treat you like that. We drove by about 10 mins later, and the lights were back on doors locked, with only the drive thru sign was lit up. Very unimpressed by the customer service at this location. I hope the manager / owner will take the time to train the staff on proper customer service. This is no way to run a business and the lack of respect for the business from the staff is disgusting.
Showed up at 9:15pm, all of the outside lights were turned off, went inside to order and was told to go through the drive thru. Inside was not busy at all as I was next in line with one person behind me. Isn t this place open until 9:30pm? Sorry. I hate to leave this as it s my first review I have EVER left for a business but this DQ is going downhill. Workers don t seem like very nice people at all. I ve gotten dirty looks (from male staff) as I ve been here many times and the attitudes are BAD. Again I m sorry to say but it s the truth.

Ive worked in retail and fast food places and quite different systems all round. I know how the systems basically work. I was charged twice once from two different employees. From what I gathered is their credit/debit system does not work directly with their POS system. Meaning they manually type in the payment to receive the funds and then confirm on the POS system payment has gone through. I paid for my order and recieved it no issues, as I was walking out a different employee from the one who I ordered from claimed I did not pay/my card didnt go through. I didnt question as I used my husbands card first then used my visa to ensure it would go through. When in the car I asked my husband to check his account to ensure the payment didnt go through and in question as to why it didnt work as it is a newer card thats given no problems since having it. We find out yes it worked for both cards and went in to have this resolved. When talking to the employees they were friendly but Im not thrilled about the fact they would not give us the funds back on any card. Knowing that many machines allow refunds with proper codes AND OR a key card leads me to think they had no access to it or arent trained fully on how to do it. We got the cash but left us with frustration over the situation.

Possibly the worst fast food experience Ive had. Bought only pretzel bites and a shake. Was rushed and treated to cold food as well as an attitude just as cold to match. There were only 3 cars in the parking lot and we were the only car in the drive thru. Absolutely will not be returning to this location. Ive had better service at the crappiest of mcdonalds. Yes its fast food but I shouldnt have to heat my food at home in order to not eat cold hard pretzel sticks and cold cheese. Strangely unprofessional and downright not worth the money. This location should hire better service staff. No reason for rushing anyone when theyve said kindly they need a moment to look at the menu in the middle of a dead afternoon. Do not recommend. Worth it to drive to a different fast food place like the Wendys or McDonalds or drive to a better location. Please do not give me a generic DQ response as it will not fix how poorly serviced you are. Yuck.

I order threw skip the dishes. And its a 50 / 50 chance you can order at any given time. They just close it regularly because there busy they say. Plus I never get a consistent order. I order same thing all the time and they never put enough in it. I always have to tell them to make sure they put the extra toppings in and to lable the lid so we know whos is whos. I literally would give 0 stars if I could.

I dont like leaving negative reviews but this is the 2nd time this year I have ordered onion rings here and both times they have been way overcooked. This time was worse, half even had that burnt taste to them ended up throwing them out. They use to be the best onion rings in town but they forgot how to cook them unfortunately. On the other hand our blizzards were delicious! Got my fave Reese and kids tried choco covered strawberry which they really enjoyed. I hope they get a better system in place for cooking their hot food though, timers, checking the temp of the oil, something to make it a more consistent experience. I think I was most annoyed by the fact that they definitely could tell there was no onion left in the rings and they were burnt and still decided to give them to me anyway... poor customer service

Horrible customer service . Was only people in line and the lady at cash was ignoring us. She never greeted us but said it will be a few mins(after it had already been 5 minutes) , several more minutes passed and she goes it s going to be awhile longer in a laughing manner , she seemed to prioritize sorting coupons instead of taking a customers order . I decided to walk out if I want ice cream in Welland I ll go to Cool Licks .

These guys are complete scammers they ve raised their prices literally four times within the past month and they try to say it s coming from Dairy Queen head office well I emailed them and they said that isn t true and that it s independently owned and they set their own prices. Ive been to this dairy Queen 2 times and everytime I try to order some ice cream I can never get what Im trying to order. I tried to order a chocolate dipped ice cream cone twice. The first time the chocolate dip was too melty and the second time they didnt even have chocolate ice cream. What dairy Queen doesnt have chocolate ice cream? The dairy Queen in st Catharines on hartzel road is much better

I dont normally leave negative reviews, however the experience tonight was terrible. I ordered a blizzard and a Julius - We waited for quite some time.(understandable, as it was busy) Once at the window the woman passed out a blizzard that was quite melted, yes melted. I stated it was melted she nonchalantly motioned that she tipped it - but she did not tip it properly bc it wasnt possible as it would have dripped everywhere. Again I stated it was too melted, mush actually, she shrugged and motioned she tipped it, stating well when we blend it... then just motioned again that she tipped it. I waited for her to fix it, or say something instead she shrugged her shoulders. I left with my melted blizzard.
Absolutely no reason to go to this place when there are better options. The prices are inflated, the service is horrendous and the quality has vanished. Drive 6 more minutes and go to Cool Licks on King Street where they care about their products and customers.

Despite the negative reviews I decided to order a cake for my boyfriend s birthday. We live about 2 hours away and wanted to spend his birthday weekend in Niagara with close friends, and figured we would need a cake. He loves DQ blizzard cake so I ordered one from this location and customized it with a photo to make it much more personal. The lady I spoke to over the phone provided me with their email so I can discuss the details of the cake and they were responsive and quick. Not only that, but the ladies were very friendly and always contacted me via phone call to confirm certain details so that the cake was to my liking. I was very happy with the cake and everyone loved it, I will definitely come back to this location next time I visit Niagara!

Im surprised to see the negative reviews! Ive gone a few times here. Place was clean and the staff are friendly. I ordered the the Buffalo chicken strip basket. As a Buffalo chicken strip connoisseur, they were surprisingly good. (I dont expect much from fast food, but was pleasently surprised) AND they gave me tons a dip. Our blizzards were delicious too.

Love DQ! Wish they had more closer to where I live in NY. My boyfriend takes me here at least once when I visit as a special treat because he knows how much I love the ice cream. Parking: Easy access parking. Wheelchair accessibility: No electric door, but it is wide enough to get through. Plenty of room to maneuver around.

Worst experience ever they always never have banana splits and I have been there twice and got a combo dinner I get the burger and drink and always forget fries. I try to call however the line stays busy. Never losing money here again
