1pc Fish and Chips was AMAZING and super affordable (less than $20). I regret not taking a picture. Taste was incredible, fair sized portions without being overwhelming. The owner was super nice to chat with too! Thanks for an awesome dinner!
Damn good food with amazing service we came in so close to closing time and they still served us I highly recommend you give them a try
As a Newfoundlander myself, I was eager to try this spot. After reading a few of the reviews, I talked myself into trying it. It's your basic fish n chip, good value and quick service. I can see where people might think it's taste is on the plain side but really, season it how you want! I got home, used malt vinegar and a little salt and pepper paired with tartare it was fabulous. Two piece fish n chips can feed two people, it's quite large! Would visit again! **They only take debit or cash and are take out only it seems**
Heard a lot about this place on the radio so thought we’d try it since our local favourite place Sues seafood in welland closed. We were very disappointed with our dinner. It was a little pricey and we didn’t really like the fries and found the batter to be very bland and not crispy. As we say we tried it twice. First time and last time. a two piece dinner and one extra piece of fish no coleslaw was almost $35 for haddock
I ordered a 2pc fish and chips. The food is okay. The fish could definitely use some more flavour and have the breading a little more crispy. The fries are just basic and good only when they’re eaten fast while fresh and hot. The CS was meh, and the interior was cute.
Fish is wonderful but I noticed that when I order a 2 piece fish dinner, I get 1 large pieces and 3 or 4 small pieces. I prefer them to both be on the large side. Wonderful flavor and cooked just right. The guys there are prompt taking your order and acknowledge you within 30 seconds of entry. It's take out so the atmosphere is a hard one to comment on but generally speaking I've never seen anyone complain
Great place for fish and chips. It's a lot better than the higher end restaurants. We enjoyed our chips and fish. Big portions and fresh.
Great fish and chips spot in Welland. Fish was light and well cooked, no excess heavy batter, fries were great and staff was friendly. If your in the area and craving fish and chips this is a great spot.
Always fast, always friendly, always delicious.
Three times in a row now we ve asked for fries well done and they come out limp and soggy.
This place used to be amazing. I am a maritimer and the fish was an insult to Newfoundlanders? It was like salt cod deep fried. Soooo disappointed
I finally decided to buy Fish & Chips from Newfoundlands Own Fish & Chips in Welland. What I didnt know is that its under New Management and the portions are a lot smaller and a waste of money for paying extra for mandatory condiments. Fish at your own risk there.
Fantastic fish and chips. Super cheap.
The food was over cooked and the fish was chewy. The gravy was disgusting. No fresh lemons it was packaged lemon juices. I will not be returning. Food
Absolutely the best fish & chips ever!!
The fish was well cooked, the fries are fresh cut, the portion is decent and the price is ok but the fish had no flavour at all.
Unfortunately, I found the fish to be very bland...no taste at all. The fries had a sour/almost bitter taste? Maybe the oil wasnt fresh or type of oil? Cant describe it but definitely not crazy about this place at all. On the positive side, the pieces of fish were a decent size and the family pak was good value . But, I will not be returning or recommending.
I found there chips to be very good .Although the fish was not too my liking .They were quite busy .
Will it was my first time to visit, heard the food was great there...I am a Newfie and will NEVER go back there again, the fish was tasteless and soggy, to much batter...disappointed customer.....
Excellent portion sizes, great prices, missing one star due to greasiness of the fish, but otherwise great place to go! Friendly staff as well, and they give a lot of tartar sauce if thats what youre after. If youre planning to go on a Friday night, go early or call ahead. The set up they had for covid was very efficient, kept people distanced but kept the area flowing. Recommend this place for sure.
The fish wasnt the greatest, we are Newfies and this was far from the best we had.
I waited two years during covid before I was able to cross the border to try Newfoundlands Own. It was worth it. It has become my Friday treat. Bridge traffic is a challenge some weeks but I recommend their fish & chips. Parking: Its in a small plaza with a handful of stores. Ive never had a problem parking there.
My husband won a gift certificate to eat here from Giant FM so we gave them a shot. They were relatively close to home so there was no real reason for them to be soggy or cold but they were and the inside of the fish was not cooked properly.
Perfect fish and chips during lent and a snow day. Im sure it was busy af and the cash only delivered food was amazing and came fast. There is a reason they have a small menu and its because they dont need to sell anything else.
Very good excellent service
Meh!!! I wouldnt go again. Not homemade tartar sauce. Actually a cheap packet imitation. If your going to charge ($28) for two 1 piece meals, pretend to care.
awesome place to grab fish and chips didnt have to wait long either great service
Simple menu. Food is good and service is very quick. Prices are very reasonable. Take out only.
Service was quick and the price was reasonable... But I personally was not a fan of the fish or the chips!
Boat load family deal fish and chips says feeds 4-6 people what a Joke we got 3 large fish fillets and 3 fish nuggets and a tray of yucky frys. Google website says dine in,takeout or delivery. First time there expecting to dine in, nope no where to sit to eat .tartar sauce is not fresh made comes in a packet, Not impressed wont be back BTW the frish is pre-made ahead of time and reheated so its NOT FRESH fish and chips
Excellent! THE best English-style fish and chips in the Niagara area. Quite possibly, the best take out youve ever had!
Hands down the best fish and chips!! Super friendly staff too!!
Found out when we got there but it was taco only Not a problem food was great
Fish was very big one type fish only it was ok..
Best place. They keep their cooking oil clean, which results in consistently great tasting fries and fish. Good portions. Although a regular used to cost a lot less, but then again - so did everything else. At least this is still well worth the price.
Great portion sizes
terrible food.... lol home made I think not the tartar sauce was in packets. the gravy tasted like flour!
I asked nicely can I have the fish separate from the fries because I am ordering to Go . She said no . Well dirty I dont have time for a place that doesnt understand there own business . Anyone knows that putting fish and fries in the same package is a mess especially when a person asked nicely to separate . Well you get what you deserve
Doesnt compare to Sues seafood that closed in Aug. I found the fish here was on the dry side, and the batter was dense and not fluffy.
UPDATE: I finally got into Newfoundlands Own Fish and Chips to get a takeout order. The price is reasonable and the fish and chips tasted very good. A one piece order has a extra small piece of fish and the 2 piece order does as well. There are lots of chips as well. They are closed Sunday and Monday. A one-piece order is $10.40 plus tax and a two-piece order is $15.50 plus tax. I have been back two or three times and have enjoyed it each time. I wish I had something good to say about Newfoundlands Own fish and chips. I have been there twice. The first time I went it was a day they were closed. The next time I went I checked online to see when they closed and I am pretty sure it said they were open until 8:30. I got there just after 8 o Clock and they were closed again. Most of the time I am in the area after I have been to the dentist up the street and I have other shopping to do before I want to go there. Dont know whether it is worth wasting my time trying to get there again if theyre going to be closed before the time they advertised on the internet. I live outside Dunnville and when I do go to Welland its usually to the dentist and other shopping that I need to do.
I wish I had something better to say, but there has been a significant change in the product and quality. Based on this most recent experience I would guess it is under new ownership. I have been a proud supporter for 20+ years and frequently recommend them to anyone who asks where to go for good fish and chips. First off, NewFoundLands Own has always prepared everything in house, including their vinegar. It is mild and goes wonderfully with their fish, which has always been beautifully white, flaky and delicious cod. Tonight I was served a grey, textureless and tasteless pollock. I will happily pay more anywhere I go to avoid pollock, if that is all they server, I will leave without ordering. Now if that wasnt bad enough, the batter was no longer their light and crispy homemade batter. It was definitely thick, fell off the fish and tasted of old, oxidized oil. I still have a horrible after taste in my mouth. Lastly the fries, definitely not cooked enough, and wasnt even seasoned. Fries 101, season your fries as soon as they come out of the fryer or they will be bland and tasteless. I also noticed they didnt lightly dress the fries with homemade vinegar like they have always done in the past (I requested it when I order because I didnt recognize any of the workers.) When all you do is 1 thing, in this case fish and chips, you need to do it really well and get all the little details right. All I can say, is I was extremely disappointed. NewFoundLand, you need to do better, and you have done better for nearly 30 years. Yes times are tough, your customers will understand the need for a price increase to maintain a high quality product. They wont remain your customer, if you lower your standards and serve a substandard product. Remember, if you wont take care of your customers, someone else will.
Zit was okay but didnt get enough sauce. I would try it again and ask for extra sauce
I must say i have heard great things about this place...but i was rather dissappointed when we tried them friday...fries were nasty, hard and grease soaked...fish was a good size, but the batter was tasteless..the pre packets of tartar sauce were disgusting...sorry to say i would not recommend them at all, and felt i could do better for the $47 we spent...first and last time customer
After months of hearing rave reviews about this place, I decided to try it. The service was great and fast but the disappointment hit when I opened the Boatload of Fish Family Meal at home. Though the portion sizes were good, the fish had little flavor and the fries were very greasy. The tartar sauce tasted more like a garlic mayo and was not what I have always known tartar sauce to be. I was not happy with my order, and at just under 50 dollars, it was disappointing and regrettable to say the least.
Underwhelmed & Unimpressed. Tried to make an order for pickup, was told just come in and order. Took about 10 minutes for my order to be fulfilled which isnt bad, but I was still wanting to order ahead so as to not have had to wait. Just about 50.00 for a family of 3. Which is fine, if its good. And while the portions were decent, I cant say it tastes good or bad. It tasted like nothing. The fish (which was like 5/6 batter) and the fries both had zero flavor. I may as well have been drinking a bottle of crunchy vegetable oil because thats what it was like. And each 2 piece dinner had only 1 packet of tartar, and there were no lemons. Also, it wasnt like 2 nice olbig pieces of fish, each meal was like 6 or 7 tiny pieces of fish. Definitely not what I was expecting. And I wont come here again. This is not the place it used to be. Do yourself a favor and instead of coming here just soak some pieces cardboard in some oil and know that you are not only saving money but still enjoying more flavor than that of the fish at Newfoundlands Own.
Best Fish and Chips around and I love the Poutine And Fish
Amazing fish and chips, best in the city. Highly recommend the boat load of fish. Would recommend to anyone and definately coming back.
Always great food
A tad pricey however the food is excellent. Ultra polite and quick service. Tons of free parking. Debit or cash only. Highly recommended.
Best fish and chips around! I come from the falls all the time for it! Never disappointed!
Called to place order man was very Rude said place order on line and before I could say anything to him he hung up on me I will not order from them
Service was fast and wait time was very reasonable. Fish was crispy and tasty, i have to admit wasnt a big fan of the fries. Overall if you want great tasting fish then this is a good place to go.
Heard about this place from KK Giant Fm, we were so exited to try the fish, what a disappointment, fish was greasy, soaked with oil, I heard they pre cook it, and its Basa not haddock , there not that friendly there. never go back.
I had to two piece fish and it was too much for me to eat it was so delicious that I took it home and ate it later for a snack And I didnt even have to put on any tartar sauce or any vinegar well done I will return there again
Staff are rude everytime I go in especially the owner. He told me I would have a heart attack cause I wanted to have 3 extra tar tar sauce.
Best fish
Great fish and chips. Portions were okay on the fish. Lots of fries though!
Not sure why so many people like this place. Worst fish Ive had in years. Im feeding the rest to my green bin. Ill stick with places in Port Colborne.
Good size portions of fish, fries needtp br made fresh n not refried to save time
Great value, good fish a chips.
Chips are great. The fish was bland and relies heavily on the sauces. Fortunately they give you a lot of sauces, even when you say no thanks. Coleslaw was very small, not worth the 1.60 comparatively to the rest of the portions. Poutine is great value. Service is fast. Delivery drivers take their time, food didnt arrive hot, only lukewarm and was not worth the 8 dollar fee.
Very disappointing fish and chips
Good food and quick service
Weve picked up fish from here before and it was fine, picked up some today and we were really disappointed.I dont know if there are new owners, but they should be embarrassed claiming the Newfoundland name. Its so poorly packed for take out, literally just jammed in a small chip container, shoved in a paper bag and placed on the top of a box for support. By the time we got home 10 minutes later, it was stone cold. We were given one tiny tarter sauce/ packed the size of a ketchup pack each. So after one bite there was no more tarter sauce and only dry fish. Three 1 piece dinners, 3 Cole slaws, 2 drinks...$50+ , not worth the money. We wont be back, one of the worst samplings of fish Ive ever had.
Great fish and chips and amazing value for the family deal!
Best fish and chips in Welland. Hands down. Prices are standard for fish and chips. Fish portions are a very good size. For reviewers complaining about delivery time/cost, thats the standard in Welland as most take out places all use the exact same delivery service. And for those complaining about Under done fish ... They dont know what theyre talking about, and probably eat their steak well done, eggs over cooked, and expect their fishbti be cooked to chicken breast texture. As a person whos actually lived (NB) and eaten all over the east coast (Not these posers who think they know food because they used a Keg gift card that one time, and think Cheers has good food) it cant be said its as good or better than East Coast Fish and Chips, but its the best place in Welland. If you like your Fish and Chips cooked to cardboard consistency, you wont get that here. The fish here is tender and flaky, with proper battering so it adheres to the fillet.
Miss this place alot
my wife picked up some fish and chips, it is so good. probably the best ive ever had...my two year old is a picky eater and he ate it as well! give it a try if you are in welland
The fish and chips were very good and the portions were great. Unfortunately the young man at the counter didnt seem very happy to be there, actually made us feel like we were bothering him. Being from out of town we ate in the car; the fish was buried beneath the fries in a tiny tray, which made it difficult to eat because we had to eat the fries to get to the fish. A better container might be a good idea!
Went there for the first time the restaurant was very plain and basic I got my food. I got home and had a good portion of fries they were good the fish was over cooked and had no flavor at all. I was disappointed that the coleslaw was not included unless I paid even more.
Quick service always and food is great!
Great fish and chips , large orders. Get the large two piece dinner and itll feed two people no problem.
Good Friday good fish bad service Hyper owner maybe close down next good friday
All they need to do is add some dressing and theyll nail it!
Great like always.
Awesome fish and chips! Just tried it recently. They give out $25 gift certificates on Kks show on 91.7 Rock. This is where I heard of them. They just have halibut fish, which is the best!
Was super excited to try this place. Made a special trip. Totally worth it. It certainly didnt disappoint, unlike the guy working the counter. He just wasnt doing customer service very well that day. Good thing the food made up for it.
Best Fish and Chips around !! Prices are good and great friendly customer service comes with your Boat Load of food. Definitely worth the drive from anywhere in Niagara area.
Fish was very disappointing. No taste. I have had better fish in Welland. Very small portion of coleslaw and not great tarter sauce.
Best fish and chips Ive had in Canada.
Didn t get through the door to try the food due to poor customer service from the counter staff ... thankfully there are other options for Fish and Chips in this town ..
Soooooooooo average
Love the short wait and enjoyed fish and chips immensely. Alot of times fish is mostly batter. Thus was just right. I will be back.
Awesome. Just awesome.
I was surprised by how much I liked the poutine. Went on a whim just for some fries and left really impressed!
First time I tried to go there, I called them on my drive there, to place my order. They said they dont do pre-ordering, I have to order at the register, and that it only takes 4 minutes from ordering until when you receive it. I went, I ordered, 15 minutes (not 4 minutes) later they finally gave me my food. Today was the second time I tried them. I went to the register, I ordered, I paid. I said Im going to wait outside as I have my dog in my car and Im going just get him out and let him have some air. I dont like to leave him in there more than 2 minutes as it was fairly warm. They repeated their same 4 minutes from ordering, its in your hands, but then said and due to covid you have to wait inside because we can only have 3 people in the store. So now we cant pre order, or leave. I said I had my dog in the car and last time i was here for 15 minutes. I am not leaving my dog in a car for 15 minutes. The guy said no, it only takes 4 minutes. 8 minutes later, I got my food and was allowed to exit the store. How can they not let you pre-order, or let you leave the store after you order and pay? Youre basically expected to pay and wait until they say you can leave. A friend of mine went there when it was busy and said when it is busy, there is no way they can do everyones order in 4 minutes. Exactly! They should stop lying and just say, itll be 10 minutes and of when you come back there are 3 people in the store, then youll have to wait outside. Like normal people would. They are ridiculous! I will not be going back!
Good amount of fish at a reasonable price
Always good!
We ordered a fish dinner for 4 people and went to pick it up. When we arrived at the location we asked for extra tarter sauce as there was alot of fish and that we wont eat it without tarter sauce. We arrived back to our place of employment to find that there was absolutely no tarter sauce in the bag. We called them back and told us of our displeasure and they just simply said come back and get it. Well thats not possible when you only have a 30 min lunch. They do provide a delivery service so we asked if they could bring it over to us. They were not interested in helping us. They said it would be 40 minutes. Very poor service.. We will never go back due to the service.
Dear Owner of newfoundland fish and chips you need to know that one of your employees are very rude disrespectful and possess bad people skills dose not listen to the Customer at all I believe he steals from the till and the customer as well I asked for extra tartar sauce and paid for extra BTW and got home with only 2 packs of them this as happens a few time now I believe he dose this with everyone else too personally i think you should fined a new employee who will appreciate the customers come to your business
Just not what it used to be. Smaller portions, fish doesnt taste fresh, chips tasted like they had been laying around for a while. I love(d?) this place at one time. Ill give it another try sometime Im sure, but just has not been what it was. Worst part is the portion size for the family fish and chips is not what it was.
Great food... ill be back
Really enjoy their product. You can tell that everything is hand made, good portions and service. Check it out sometime.
Love their fish and chips and the guys who work there are so polite and awesome. Highly recommend!!!
Good food at a good price. Was pleasantly surprised at the serving portion.
Food was good large portion. Counter staff can use some training in customer service.
A year ago I would if given 5 stars as this use to be our go to place. Over the past year quality has gone down hill. Twice now ordered poutine and there has been so little gravy it is more like cheese curds melted on the top layer of fries.
Delicious fish and chips. They only have haddock. it was so light and tasty
Cant go wrong with the fish at this place. Order is usually prepared quickly and always fresh.
Went there tonite because we were on that side of town we were very disappointed in the fish it was under cooked and wasn t drained at all the bag they put it in was dripping with oil the fries were excellent I used to come here every week when I worked at Bonanza video .. I m sorry I won t be back again sad customer
Not Greasy. Amazing taste and huge portions
Great fish
Over hype IMO. Not bad just not that good either....
Would not recommend it, portion of the large order was big but they lack quality. Fries were sitting there and tasted old, greasy and chewy. The fish was mostly batter and very greasy. Just didn t feel like fresh fish and chips. They say it gets ready in 4 minutes! At least give an option, I wouldn t mind waiting longer to get freshly made food and fries rather than re frying or heating some piece of fish. I also suggest to the owner to offer more fish options and maybe shrimp too.
Good food, nice workers
Only place I get my fish and chips. Favorite place..
Great food, great prices!!! Best fish in town.
First time having there food was an awesome tasting meal will be going back for more There poutine fish bowl is so yummy
Awesome fish and chip stop. Plus, the owner is great!
reasy fish dont let their radio commercial fool you try green acres in ft erie thats the bst fish in town
This place is great. My favourite fish and chips in the area. As others have said, the portions are very generous, and they taste great. The owner seems like a really nice guy as well.
Went there for the first time. Great fish and chips. Kept hearing their ad on The Giant 91.7fm and had to try them out.
It aint fancy food but its good comfort food the cashier was really friendly and I will return to them when fish and chips is what I want
Quick, well cooked and good portions.
Last night my daughter and her fiance stopped to pick up the family pack meal. It was so good and the portions were very generous. To say the four of us were stuffed is an understatement. It was our first time having their food and we will definitely be back. Friendly staff and great food and great prices!!
Fish is delicious big portion reasonably priced, and the fries sooooo good.
I strongly recommend Newfoundland fish and chips. Your order is always hot and fresh.
I enjoyed the fish and chips, but you need to give more tartar sauce with it. One package is not enough.
Delicious, very busy and efficient!
First time going to this fish and chip store. I have to say great value for your money. Large pieces of fish and lots of chips. My only complaint was that the chips were cold. We just live down the street, too. We will return.
AVERAGE - NOT WORTH THE DRIVE FROM HAMILTON - NOT EVERYTHING IS HOME-MADE.
ok but not great. Lots of food but kinda bla. Went because of the ads on radio.
Was delicious when i went, even though Im not a fan of fish.
Stopped by for fish and chips, my order came out barely 3 minutes after ordering, any one with a common sense would know that they precook the fish and reheat it pr re fry it when they get an order, the fish taste nasty, fries and coleslaw were ok, I would stay away from this place, almost costed me 20$, the fish ended up in the garbage can. Don t waste your money here please, also very bad attitude from the employee that took my order
We had 2 gift cert for this restaurant.. the man working the counter looked like he didnt want to be there and we tried to joke with him and he just looked at us like we were bothering him.. the fish and chips where just put in a cardboard open tray with a piece of paper over the top and shoved in the bag.. the fish was very greasy and chewy and the fries were ok.. we wont be using the other cert.. thankfully they were free.. not what we were hoping expecting..
Great fish and chips!! I always get the family deal and it feeds the whole family no problem.
Top notch fish and chips in the style of a classic Maritime or British chip shop. The only place I know in Welland that has this type of fish and chips. Service is always fast and friendly. If youre a fish & chip lover like me, dont miss out on this one!
Good poutine but the fish tasted like it was pre-cooked and heated up afterwards
Our favorite fish and chip place in Welland.
Oh yes it was delicious u have to order from there. And lots of food I loved their coleslaw
Great fish and Chips very nice people great customer service will keep coming back !!
I must have driven past this place over a hundred times before I actually decided to go in. Cash or debit only. Their fries and fish are insanely fresh and delicious! When you order a one piece fish and chips, you actually get a lot more than that. Excellent portions, well priced, and fast! A great local establishment that will continue to get more of my business.
excellent fish and chips
The prices and portion sizes are excellent, and that is probably the only reason why the place is always busy. The fish is greasy and is definitely not cod, haddock, or halibut. That the place is named Newfoundlands Own and serves what appears to be pollock is an insult to Newfoundland.
Fresh and great tasting fish. Batter is light and not heavy like a lot of places. If youre in Welland give it a try. I dont think youll be disappointed.
Its great!! I havent tasted fish this good since the 90s Idea fish and chips which was located beside The Welland Tribune before it burned down
Good
Best fish chips around here.
Best in welland friendly staff
It was dalish we would go thier agian
DELICIOUS!
Nothing Newfoundland about this place its English fish and chips and Quebec poutine Nothing Newfoundland Where s the dressing I m a Newfoundlander and not happy with the false advertising
Fantastic
Best fish and chips I have ever had and Ive been to almost every fish joint Ive seen easily 70 different places all over Ontario. Watch out for the pickle flavoured coleslaw
Good fish and chips lite batter good fries yum.
Nasty
Good price and good fish.
Great service, better food!
Large portions, great value, great taste, very fast from order to receiving food.
Just went for fish and chips. The fish was very greasy. As soon as you cut into the very small pieces, oil came out. The fries were small cuts some over done. Dont waste your money. Service wasnt friendly.
Good fish and chips. Just fish and chips
Fries with malt vinegar and salt were great. Sorry boyz, fish just ok
Well Ive really enjoyed this restaurant in the past....but my last experience was a little let down...I ordered a 2 piece dinner with malt vinegar...I got exactly 32 French fries and no malt vinegar...as I sent someone to pick up for me I couldnt return so I called and was told someone would get back to me and Im still waiting....plus the gentleman who answered the phone was not very cheery....this is why Im rating it 3 stars...
Fries were crisp and tasty. Although I only ordered a one piece, I received 1 large piece and 2 smaller pieces as well. Delightful!
The poutine here is great!
Fantastic fish n chips for a good price.
Tasty! Lots!
Great service. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. I find with a lot of fish and chips that throw batter is really heavy. The batter here is relatively light and not overly salty. I would definitely recommend them as a local go to.
was very good and for being a busy place order was done fairly fast didnt have to wait around for very long was my first time will be eating here again thank you
This is the LAST TIME I order fish from here- fries are great, fish is always super greasy and then you ask for tarter sauce, get home and there is one pack! Are you kidding me?! How am I suppose to use one lil packet on all the fish in a one piece meal- stop being so cheap!!! Gosh!!!
A really great place to get fish and chips
Cant beat a fish and chips. Taste great
Would not recommend. Always been a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is great, sometimes its undercooked to a point where its inedible.Ive been going there for quite some time now but have not had good customer service the last couple of times. The amount of tartar sauce is always a debate inspite of me agreeing to pay more. Today was the final nail in the coffin as I was told it didnt matter whether I was in a hurry or requested pick-up. That kind of attitude from a place that provides highly priced-half cooked fish and chips is unacceptable in my books.
Unfortunately its hit or miss. Fish was undercooked.
Good staff and friendly environment
One of my favourite places for takeaway, food is really good, staff are super friendly and the interior is clean.
Good fish
Best fish on the planet!
Love their poutine!
Poutine here is the bomb
Omg soo good and filling
Fish is very good fries taste great just wish they were open on sundays
I am a newfounder and the poutine is so salty..a gallon of water was needed to quinch my thrust. The cheese curds are in fact real. However I still could not eat it. Way too salty...It was so salty...like someone accidently threw the salt shaker and the lid popped out and split on to my food. The fish was ok...but sorry I tried it...and it was not something to get all excited over. If you ask for tarter you get one little package...for three pieces of fish...why bother. Lol. Bastardizing Newfoundland. Not too good...eh boy
a friend of the family went there two days ago and ordered food to go (she called me and asked me to post this review), its not homemade fries, they dont disclose the type of fish, and she found 3 hairs in her dish, everything is extra and it is not homemade. Dont believe that! prices are too high for what you get....they actually threw most of it in the garbage :(
Pricey? Perhaps. good food? Definitely
Fries are quite good, but fish is a little overdone/dry. Oh, and if you like malt vinegar, make sure you have your own, because they wont give you any to go, and they dont put much on when they serve it. That part was very disappointing.
