The Empanadas were amazing, so good. Reminded me of the ones I had in Colombia. Canβt wait to try the Arepas and Bandeja Paisa next!! Service is also amazing very friendly
This place is amazing every time my girlfriend has to go to Welland for work I pray that she brings me home an arepa from Papas grill.
It was really good. The portions, taste and prices are great. The owner was so welcoming and friendly. Makes you feel at home. 100% recommend it.

Eng- Passing by Welland when I saw this restaurant out of the corner of my eye. Had to U-turn to try it out and it was the best decision of the dΜΆaΜΆyΜΆ weekend. Atmosphere-wise, it reminds me of restaurants in Colombia β I especially like that the kitchen is visible and not hidden in the back so you can see the work they put into the food if you like. The owner was very friendly and helpful on what we might like based on our appetite & preferences. Fooood. We got two arepas and a Cachapa. At first, i thought the arepas were a bit expensive but when we got them and i saw how big and packed they were, i understood why they were priced as suchβand even then i would probably be willing to pay more based on taste. One is enough per person in my opinion. The Cachapa I got with pulled beef BUT if you are going to try the cachapa, i recommend you get it with only cheese(as the owner recommended but i was really craving the beef). With only cheese you can really taste the outstanding flavour. We will definitely be coming whenever we pass by Welland in the future, no questions asked. Esp- Papa's Grill me recuerda a restaurante de pueblo en Colombia. Muy casero y delicioso. La dueΓ±a fue muy amigable y nos ayudo con recomendaciones. La comida estuvo espectacular. Las arepas deeeliciosaaas. Muy buen sabor y el tamaΓ±o perfectas para una persona. La Cachapa (si sabes que es Arepa de Choclo, es muy parecida) tambiΓ©n muy deliciosa pero recomiendo que la compren sin carneβsolo con queso para que puedan saborear el sabor de la masa de la cachapa. Definitivamente volveremos cuando estamos en la Γ‘rea.

Great local spot to pick up Venezuelan food as well as other cuisines. The inside looks to be very cozy and would be a great place to sit and eat once things open up again. We called to order and picked up. It is just off the 406 and very accessible to those who don't live in Welland. There is parking on the side street or behind the restaurant. We ordered the Latin Combo (one in chicken, one in beef) as well as a side of tequeΓ±os. The tequeΓ±os weren't as cheesy as I am used to, but the rest of the meal made up for it. The Latin Combo consists of one arepa with two empanadas. The chicken combo was excellent, and the sauce was amazing once we added it on. The chicken's flavour was tasty and flavourful. The beef combo was just as good, offering a slightly different flavour profile. We swapped empanadas so we could both try them and both agreed that the empanadas were a great choice. For sure will be visiting again, hopefully in-person to see the restaurant in action and try another round of tequeΓ±os.

Nice spot in Welland. My friends omelet was undercooked but they took it back and made cooked it properly. The Venezuelan breakfast was great...a nice change to the norm. Well be back to try lunch and/or supper. Parking: Parking is on Main St or one of the side streets Kid-friendliness: Seems like a very family oriented place

Bait and switch. Supposed updated menu on website has old prices. Soup was ok but noodles overcooked. May give it another try to be fair. Now that i have a menu with correct pricing

Genuine, traditional spot, must try! They have a canadian menu that Im sure is delicious but must try the traditional venezuelan goodies. Everything is made with love, service feels like family. The arepas are amazing, make sure to try fresh. Some of the crispier foods may get soggy if ordered to-go due to the heat and condensation. Hope they get more business to grow and finalize the place Enjoy!
Came here randomly. The people who run this place and make the food are amazing! So kind. The food is made fresh and tastes AMAZING!! We will be back!!!

Good traditional Venezuelan food! The Staff had an attitude problem when we brought up that the empanadas were covered in oil and instead of fixing it we got yelled at. We got passed that BUT what I can t personally pass is the CIGARETTE SMELL of the dining area and entrance. It s too much that you can t even enjoy the food. Wish they move somewhere else so that their food could be more appreciated.

I picked up take out Christmas dinner today. There was lots of food, and it was delicious. They also have what looks to be a wide range of Latin American foods as well. We will be back for more.

This is the best Venezuelan food Ive had in a long time and Im Venezuelan. The empanadas are made with the perfect dough; corn and fried. Reminds of the Sunday morning empanadas my grandpa would buy from our neighbour down the street. Cant wait to try the arepas next time!

Awesome mom and pop diner style restaurant owned by some very nice family!!!! Only been there twice and I will keep coming back because of the food that they serve up. I think their from Venezuela and they sure can cook North America food very well.

I want to like this place but I can t handle restaurants that microwave their food. Third time I ve given the chance and even told them on the phone, please do not microwave our food. While waiting for the order I hear the microwave going. They microwaved the meat for the arepas.
