We were waited on by Jody self proclaimed manager very slow taking order messed it up and gave us attitude not happy with slow service and the fact that she thought it was okay that 3 of us would eat in front of a4th person and then wait for her to eat by herself due to her error. We asked to keep our food warm while we waited she piled a plate on top of another and stormed off.i decided this was unacceptable decided we were leaving she then turned it on me because I have her attitude back. Very bad experience from the start. I recommended this place to many people never again.

If your sitting at the bar pop something. The bartenders are depressed, out of a mental ward during the day. Im not expecting a therapy session but the pacing.............talk to your customers :) Dietary restrictions: Just beer.

Bangers should never be presented with a blackened crust from being overcooked. Inspired to order bangers based on a recent trip to the UK so this is disappointing.

The atmosphere is lovely, a cosey warm feeling as you step on to the restaurant and we were greeted within a minute. Our server, Lauren was very attentitive and so nice, she really made my day :) , our food came extremely quickly and was delicious! Dietary restrictions: My grandmother is celiac and they offer gluten free options such as buns for example and the fries are safe for a gluten free diet.

Dont treat your employees like garbage and maybe youll have quality and consistency. Firing a line cook because they arent chummy with you is bonkers.

We love the squire! Great food and even better service. Lauren is awesome! Felt bad for the staff tonight as some customers (despite witnessing it for themselves) were oblivious to the fact that it s Good Friday and they were PACKED. They were doing the best they could all while maintaining a great attitude! I was informed immediately when I arrived (8pm) that they were out of fish and the kitchen was behind. We had no problem enjoying our drinks knowing the food was going to be worth it! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Always friendly service, excellent food and reasonably priced! Parking: Depending on the time you re visiting the restaurant and if the mall or walk in clinic are open, parking can be challenging to find close to the building but if you re willing to walk some, there is more than enough parking. Kid-friendliness: We ve got 3 little ones who always enjoy their meals here and are treated respectfully even when they sometimes may act up. Wheelchair accessibility: A double stroller is accessible to most parts of the restaurant so wheelchair would presumably be able to navigate through as well.

Ate all our food so no pics. Wanted a burger, saw good reviews for here, and it did not disappoint. Bf thought the fries weren t crispy enough. I liked them. I had a vegetarian pepper Jack burger and he had a Canadian burger. Vegetarian options: They were accommodating in swapping in a veggie patty with the pepper Jack burger

My parents are regulars here as they live in Port and this has to be the best restaurant I ve tried out in the area! They are also super nice to my little brother everytime he goes there which just shows how great the staff are as well as the food!

Ye old squire, Welland Honestly this place has always been awesome but tonight I was let down. Potato skins were great, wings were awesome, taco salad was fantastic, but my meal was complete garbage. I order the steak and yorkshire pudding. It was a complete let down because it was not steak instead it was literally beef stew which had an off taste, the mashed potatoes were so dry it was more of a potatoes crumble with no flavor. I probably took 2 bites of the entire meal. We told the waitress and nothing was done. I understand it was family day but the service with our waitress was extremely slow and before you jump all over me, other tables with different wait staff were alot quicker and they were managing their time alot better from what I was seeing. But the thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that they refer to beef stew as a steak and the fact that the waitress didnt even try to rectify the problem. She then got pissed at me because we waited 15 min for our bill and it was supposed to be 2 bills and when she offered to go back and fix it I said dont worry I dont have time to wait another 15 min because we had somewhere else to be. I will go back because this is the only incident but they really need to give some additional training or give a smaller section to the older staff so that they can keep up.

Family Day visit. First time trying this pub. Wow, wow, wow! The food was fabulous. The pub was clean and cozy. And our server (Jodi) was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable of the menu. The atmosphere is pretty generic for a bar/resteraunt but its still very nice. The food includes heaping portions of awesome food. I tried the chicken pot pie with a side of fries for my first time and decided to pour some gravy into the pie. This was such a good meal and left me stuffed. The chicken fingers are breaded in house and you can tell. The freshest chicken fingers Ive had from take out. I look forward to trying more menu items.

Really wanted to love it here. When we walked in, the atmosphere was great. Pleasantly surprised as the mall it s in was shut down early for the weekend, but the restaurant was full of people. We started with appetizers. Two pounds of wings. Both were big let downs. One pound (honey hot) had 3 of 6 wings with shattered bones and the other (mild) came out plain. The server explained the mild was mostly butter but we expected better. The chicken quality was subpar and the price was very high at $17/lb. Thought that it could ve been a one off so we ordered another dish to split while deciding on mains. We chose the bacon mac & cheese. Another disappointment. It came out on a skillet, which we thought was odd. The noodles were hard, and there was no creaminess or cheesy goodness we expected from a $20 mac & cheese. We had about 40% of the mac & cheese and decided we were done and requested the bill, leaving the rest behind. Few times have I regretted spending money for an experience as there are usually always positive takeaways, but I wish we would ve went elsewhere. $70 for that meal felt like a ripoff. We won t be returning. I really hope this was a one-off considering how many recommendations we ve received and reviews we read.

This is basically an independent Firkin pub. Generic pub grub. Half frozen, half fresh. Lots of deep fried. Good fries. I had the fish and chips. Gravy bland but at least it s not bullion and onion soup mix. Coleslaw bland, needs apple cider vinegar. Good size portion. Fish needs a better batter, too strong on the beer which fights with the fish. Incredibly uneven in flavour. This is chain food. It s edible but nothing special. I want to start off by saying, our food was delicious & the host that seated us was super sweet. My boyfriend and I came here to watch the Bills game & the space itself is super clean and our host was so kind to let us choose our seat so we could have a good view of the TVs, but from the moment we were seated our waitress seemed super cold and almost as if we were a burden to her. I brushed it off to her maybe just having a rough shift and was still kind, saying please and thank you after every request. I tried to ignore it throughout our meal as we don t get the chance to go out to eat very often but about halfway through our meal (both of us still actively eating), without even asking us if we were all set, we were brought boxes for our food. Mind you, this was at 7:30pm. I would understand if it was 20 minutes before closing and we were the last people there (I also work in customer service and understand some days you just want to get out ASAP) but according to their hours on google and their hours posted on their door they don t close until 9pm. There were several other tables around us that were still working on their food/watching the game and it seemed like every other table she was thrilled to serve but every time she reached us there was uncomfortable tension that had me on the verge of tears and ready to leave before we even finished eating. Not long after she brought us our boxes, we just decided to pack up and leave. After we packed up to leave, she had asked the older couple sitting behind us can I get you guys anything else? enthusiastically, but then got to our table and coldly said do you want any dessert? . We still tipped 18% because I understand in the service industry most people rely on tips to pay their bills and I overall just hate confrontation, especially when I m just trying to have a nice night out. But this put such a bad taste in my mouth that I doubt we ll be back.

Food is not the worst but the customer service is ridiculously bad, we ordered 3 lbs of breaded wings at the cost of 56 dollars got home 5 mins down the road and they were mush, I proceeded to call and explain we had ordered several times and this was the first time not 1 or 2 but all 3 of my family members were very unhappy I was then told that soggy mush is how breaded wings come and I should know that. At that point I was like oh ic see if thats the attitude then I own a small business with 10 employees and have friends in the community happy to pass that along, then to be told that there now not going to do anything because I threatened her at that point I just hung up.

Food was delicious as always and great service.

Food was generally good but the liver and onions wss a big disappointment. Server was very friendly. The place was packed on a Friday night which resulted in service being a bit slow.

Do not under any circumstance order the nachos !!!! at least not with the beef!! The meet tasted as if it was meatloaf with no flavour and not cooked through, Spread across the entire entree. the guacamol wasnt even fresh so disgusting. My brother in law ordered the same thing that night and he was extremely disappointed too. Then comes the bill aprox 30$ for a disgusting entree. My parents go there all the time for the sausage and beans plate (Bangers and mash) and they like that dinner so the restaurant isnt all bad. Just stay away from the nachos all together though, its not worth your hard earned money or taste buds.

My hubby went for our 39 year from our 1st date anniversary and we re treated extra special. Than a few days later I went with my besties for lunch and will definitely be back again and again

Best Chicken Pie around !! Salmon Tikka Marsala great dishes their appetizers are all really good. The food is all really good I have been lots of times.. and prices are reasonable. Must dine here when in Welland

Great menu, great portions, very affordable. I love their fish and chips, and the reuben is to die for. The fries are great, salt and vinegar provided at the table. The Cajun Salmon is a no go. You pay 26 dollars for 6 oz of seared salmon with Cajun tartar sauce, the rest of the plate is filled with boiled vegies and dry unseasoned rice. The staff does that annoying thing where as soon as youre done with your food, your server forgets you exist for 15 minutes. You ask for the bill and 5 minutes later you get it. You ask for the machine to pay, another 5 minutes pass before they give you one. Then 10 minutes pass before they come and collect it. Spend more time on average trying to leave the building after eating than the whole process of ordering, waiting and eating. All in all, the service gets a 3/5 and the food gets a 5/5.

Had the pub fare. Fish and chips. 2pieces was too much food, and believe me, I dont usually have this problem. Delicious fish and great chips. Could use more coleslaw but otherwise top notch.

This is a fun spot that weve really come to love living in Niagara. Its clean, the staff are on it and super attentive, and the food is wonderful! I love the French onion soup topped with puff pastry, and the Reuben is the best Ive had in the area! Would highly recommend this place for an Irish pub and a great experience!

OK. This place is great! It has a Husband Day Care to look after the Husbands, while the wives are shopping. We have been here almost weekly and the staff are always nice and friendly. The chicken fingers are the best in Ontario!! If you are ever near the Seaway Mall in Welland, you have to stop in.

A great pub style restaurant in the Seaway Mall in Welland. They serve many import beers on tap including Guinness and have a full menu from soups and apps to UK classics like fish and chips, shepherds pie and steak and Guinness in a Yorkshire pudding bowl. Simple wood and leather stylings along with dim lighting really remind you of the old style pubs in the English countryside.

Quaint little pub nestled inside Seaway Mall. Easily our familys favourite restaurant in Welland. It is super clean in there, the service is good and the food is outstanding! Its my daughters FAVOURITE mac n cheese (next to mine), and kids are brutally honest so you know its good. The fish and chips are so huge and so so yummy. You can split a 2 piece for date night, no questions asked. Wings are bomb too!

This was my first visit to Ye Old Squire. My partner had been several times before. We ordered fish & chips. He ordered poutine instead of plain french fries. They have a very large menu, and are sure to satisfy whatever you are in the mood to eat. We enjoyed the pub like atmosphere. Our server Kelly was very good. Both friendly and attentive. There are steps to get to many of the tables, so uncertain if they are wheelchair accessible. We both had ice tea to drink, and the bill came to about $55.00. The fish was delicious. Tender fish and crispy batter. Great coleslaw and yummy tartar sauce. Next time, were going to try their famous burgers! Would definitely recommend whether its just for two, or a larger group.

Ive always enjoyed this restaurant, however the last time I was there (my birthday) the service was terrible. It started with my waitress saying the bar was too busy to get my drink. My 10 year old were there over an hour mostly waiting for service, it should have been maybe 40 minutes.

I usually get the chicken fingers as they are freshly made but this past week ordered the meatloaf. I read another review about how bad the meatloaf is and I totally agree. I could not eat it. So dry, tasted days old and just gross. Even the mashed potatoes tasted off and not sure about that gravy. Something had way too much pepper in it. I suggest if you cannot get meatloaf right and your serving serving day/s old take it off the menu. I asked the waitress how old is this meatloaf and she said well it must be from today. I will say my husband always enjoys the burger and I the chicken fingers but this meatloaf experience has put me off this place at least for a while. An expensive lesson with todays prices and you leave the meal on the plate.

Been here twice for the fish and chips....and loved it. Delicious. Food was piping hot. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was busy and we werent in a hurry. Had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and also really liked that. I have already recommended the restaurant to friends and will certainly be back, myself! Hidden gem

We moved to Welland one month ago and this has been one of our favourite restaurants so far! Dont let the mall location fool you, it has a lot of character and charm without being old or neglected. Love the energy here when it is full for dinner service! Its very clean, even at the front entrance way. The service is prompt, very nice, and everyone looks like they enjoy working here. The kids menu is affordable (mac n cheese comes HIGHLY recommended by lil miss), the beer pours beautifully (Banquet at least) and the wings are incredible!

Decided to come here after a recommendation. I went in an hand the Tikka Masala and my ma had the Chicken Tenders. The Naan bread and curry was fantastic and mas chicken tenders and onion rings were fantastic. Its a bit on the expensive side. 70+ after taxes with the potatoe skin appetisers at 14 dollars. The Tikka Masala at 22 and Tenders at 18. I recommend coming if your looking for a good meal.

Great setting and atmosphere for good pub food at decent prices. The reuben sandwich was delicious and well put together. Wings and french onion soup are also really tasty and should be an item you try next visit. We love this spot and they even improved their fries. Everything is homemade and tasty. Even the daily soups are fresh and delicious.
