Bear Sushi in Welland

The food is fantastic. It is take out, so atmosphere is good for a take out place, Customer service is fantastic.

They are very friendly and serve fresh sushi. I am grateful that I can enjoy reasonably priced sushi without having to wait. Great place!

Bear sushi is excellent. They had my order ready right at the time I indicated. It was fresh and delicious. NO tip was requested or even mentioned. They were super polite and kind They even threw in a little freebie. I deducted one star only because I found there to be alittle too much spicy mayo but the spicy mayo itself is delicious I just prefer a more delicate application. I very highly recommend great sushi! 👍

This place is my go to when I’m craving sushi. The food is always fresh and the service is great. Can’t ask for much more. I recommend the shaggy dog and the New York crunch. Both are so delicious. Always the best and not overly expensive either!

Their sushi is no good. Rice was hard and avocado in the sushi roll was dark brown, it doesn't taste fresh at all. Even salmon was definitely not the greatest quality. Very little sashimi on loads of rice, just taste the hard rice. They tried to make it look like it's a big portion, but it's mostly rice. Unless you don't mind a corner store sushi, I guess you can waste your money. I'd rather eat at the food court few steps away.

I used to live in Toronto and was spoiled with such great sushi, sometimes at the cheapest of places. Bear is the only thing that comes close in the Niagara Region, it is very reasonably priced (and they have generous 50% off deals) and delicious. I’m not sure what the bad reviewers are talking about... and the customer service is the best of all sushi places I’ve been to anywhere. Avocado smoothie another must try. I never write reviews but had to for this place!!

This is the worst sushi I've ever had. The rice was old and stale - glued together. Maybe I'm spoiled from living downtown Toronto for years, but this is not the quality of sushi I'm used to. I'm confused by the positive reviews - maybe I got a bad batch? This is what the spicy salmon tempura looks like. Managed to eat 4 pieces. Never seen anything like it. Gross "tempura" coated all over it.

Great for a quick bite on the go. I stopped in on my way home to grab a quick sushi fix. Try the Shaggy Dog, it was delicious. They prepare the sushi there, and have a few rolls prepared in a cooler if you are looking for a quick grab. Similar to the kiosks in Niagara On The Lake's Outlets, and the one at the Pen Centre. I bought two rolls for around $20 with tax and tip. Really yummy.
