They dont know how to make an omelet, they should visit Stacked and learn. Place needs a makeover, its dated and needs a deep cleaning.

Picked up 2 peameal bacon sandwiches toasted to go one with just mayo , one with egg and nothing else on them. Was asked it I wanted tomato & lettuce said no Cost me 21.00 added 2.00 for the egg on one , forgot to deduct the lettuce & tomato I declined on both Got them home it was like chewing shoe leather Just awful

Had breakfast at the Golden grill this morning! Open on the holiday was a bonus. The service was great! Very accommodating. Unbelievable portions! Fair price. 5 stars! Ill be going back...4 surzy

My new favorite breakfast spot! Very kid friendly and good atmosphere for all ages Parking: Parking around back and there is a side door for ease of access, plus a ramp at the front! Kid-friendliness: Witnessed some very cute child/waitress interactions

I hesitate to give it even 1 star..The waitress was very nice but the food was inedible!! Gave a whole new meaning to doggie bag because I took the entire steak home to my dog..It was that bad..I never leave reviews but felt the need as I paid $40 for breakfasts that we couldnt even eat!!

Two of us went for breakfast, both ordered a Greek Omelette however, what we received was something entirely different the waitress thought we said a Nick Omelette what the heck is a Nick Omelette? Nonetheless, we ate the breakfast & it was made well & delicious a very healthy serving size as well good job Parking: Parking is at a premium, especially if there are many clients visiting however, there is parking along the street, which is plentiful

I would first like to say they this is my first bad review ever and I am not super happy about even posting this I work in customer service dealing with complaints just like this all the time, so I understand that there are always two sides to every story. My experience at this restaurant actually happened a few days ago, so it has been weighing on my mind a bit to say the least because I was so disappointed with this situation. My husband and I used to eat here all of the time back in 2021-2022. It was our favorite breakfast place! We loved it! Long story short - life got busy and we hadn t visited this restaurant until recently. My whole family was with me during this particular experience. We walked in around 12:30-1pm on a Sunday (they close at 3) and waited to have someone greet us or tell us where to sit. Looking around, every single booth was dirty (which I am not judging at all - I get it to an extent) so we continued to stand there in the doorway and be completely ignored for another 10-15 minutes. The two servers weren t doing much and could have absolutely at least smiled or told us to give them a minute during this time. It definitely felt like they were annoyed we were there they wouldn t even make eye contact with us. One of the servers finally came over and asked (and not nicely, by the way) did you find a table ? Why, no. I didn t. They were all covered in dirty dishes We were already upset for not even being acknowledged when we walked in and that s how you greet us after you ignore us? She proceeded to tell us to pick a seat (we pointed to one of the dirty booths and she starts to clear off the table). I have never ever done this in my life - but I walked out of the restaurant and we went to a different place to eat. I know this sounds petty but I seriously used to love this place. We were good tippers and patient customers. It may not seem like that big of a deal but it s just not the type of service you expect especially from a place that we had nothing but good things to say about previously. The food is great there! The service has just gone downhill since new management has taken over. So disappointing!

Noticed Golden Grill was added to skip the dishes, decided to give them a shot...big mistake! Whoever is cooking or taking care of the orders needs to learn to read. Missing over half of our order and got items we didnt ask for...horrible experience, you folks should have just stayed closed!

Absolutely Lovely, Always been a beautiful breakfast place, and was delighted to learn it has become a lunch and dinner spot as well. Had breakfast with my grandmother here today, highly recommend the French Toast with butter and syrup. Beautiful antique and rustic aura, along with a wonderful waitress. Food was excellent and despite that, was relatively cheap. The kind of place that Id be lucky to work at. Would love waking up to go here every day. Wonderful environment. 5 out of 5 stars. Also they have comical mugs.

A fantastic place for wonderful meals. About to be renamed in Welland with a new name, this restaurant has the greatest cook George. Adele is just super and anticipates all your needs. Don t miss the grand opening August 1/22.

I come to this place every chance I get. Sometimes it is for lunch, sometimes for breakfast. While not as modernized as some of the latest franchises, it is clean, with great food and service. The liver steaks and BLT are two of my favorites.

Friendly and family like atmosphere. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options and other dietary needs as well. Parking: Parking available in the back and along the side of the Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome at the restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they have a ramp at the side entrance for wheelchair accessibility.

Nice forgotten Family Restaurant

Edit: owner replied. I appreciated that, however the fact remains I saw a young person in the kitchen area with no head covering, and there WAS a long hair in my food. The toast that fell on the floor was not being served, was just a point I was making. I hope they can improve their premises, and make it cleaner. Went in for breakfast about 12:15-12:20. Apparently they just had finished a big rush, limited staff on hand. So expectation was a longer than normal wait, which we were told about. The premises is very run down, bench (booth) padding is severely ripped, the entire place needs a good cleaning. Person that was cooking had longer than shoulder length hair and no head covering. After a really really long wait, till 1:15, we finally received our meal. (Ordinary eggs, bacon and toast, nothing off menu ) Wrong toast on one, the other one, toast was dropped on the floor, and there was a hair in the third one. The home fries looked burned. After finding a long brown hair embedded in the home fries, we paid for coffee and left. Totally disappointed.

My friends and i visited this restaurant today for a late breakfast. The price was a little more than i would normally have paid, but it was was delicious and the waitress was outstandingly gracious. I had ordered extra sausage and when the cook has forgotten to include it on my plate, I received it at no cost to me. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we got chatting and realized only when our waitress started to close that we were holding her up...she even told it was fine and to enjoy our time and would let uss know when shexwas done. The coffee was also very tasty too. The only downside was that they close every say at 2 or 2:30 pm. They also serve an all you can eat buffet on Sundays for $10. From opening till 2 pm. You have certainly gained 3 happy customers today! Hank you Golden Grill!

No fuss no muss. Good honest greasy spoon. Fair price, good portions, good food.

First and last experience. Bacon burnt, no yolk in my OE eggs, homefries barely cooked, and black hair on my white eggs and sausages were so hard to cut... extremely disappointing. Either i picked a terrible day to visit or this place is a disaster. Its a shame because the server was great .

The Turkey sandwich was bland and not very big. Kind something a 5 yr old would make and the salad was mostly the whites of the lettuce and the curtons were actually very old and had taken on and oil and spice flavor. It was very nasty
