Good food. Good value.

The food is great except the General Tao is not even close to general Tao. Ordered twice and thought first time was mistake second time got the same lemon pepper chicken instead of my favorite general Tao. Kimonos please read this and fix it.

We really enjoyed our takeout meal from Kimonos Chines Restaurant in Welland! Their chicken is especially good! We enjoyed the General Tao, chicken Lo Mein, two kinds of wontons (crispy & cheese) and chicken fried rice. Its all take out - the price was very modest for what we got. As far as I am concerned its the best Chinese food in Welland and I can hardly wait to go there again and try the rest of the menu. Free delivery too if you order over $65. Someone posted a review complaining there wasnt any chicken in their General Tao - that certainly wasnt our experience - they should have contacted the restaurant because I am sure they would have made it right. Why post such a negative review? I would highly recommend the Kimono Restaurant!

chow mein - soft noodles? drowning in some chicken broth? its just salty, smooshy mess. tastes as bad as it looks. this is terrible HG ribs - really tough n dry, drowning it in honey garlic sauce is not gonna save it

Currently going through some very uncomfortable food poisoning that clearly came from the beef and broccoli from this place...

Order through skip the dishes. Chicken was so dry couldn t bite through it. They forgot part of my order, meat was COVERED in black pepper. Only good thing was the fried rice and fortune cookies

Called for dine in reservation but only allowed take out or delivery so I ordered take out from a very nice & helpful Chinese woman (maybe the owner?h) Food was ready on time & piping hot & delicious, got free chicken wings on a large order YAY!!! This place is a hidden gem (JADE) & it s so very reasonably priced & great choices available too. Will order from here again for sure

Such a great wonton soup perfect amount , perfect price, love the Beef lo mein, chicken balls, their rice is classic. Love this place, only good place in Welland and the best we ve found in niagra reigion.

I dont normally write reviews, but this time, I will write one, I ordered food through Uber eats, and I got everything on time, but the quality of the food was really disappointing, meaning I order general Tao chicken it wasnt like any other one I have tried, it tasted like it was pre heat from being frozen, I ordered chicken wings, it was dry with some flavor that I didnt like so much, I ordered fried shrimp with bell peppers for this one they add too much peppers and too little shrimp, plus I didnt like it one bit, I ordered fried rice with pork and spring rolls well this last two things were ok, well in the end I been with indigestible since yesterday night because this food, I would never order again from that restaurant. Sorry for the bad review, but this is my experience with this place.

Its very flavourful, yummy and cooked with precision. ( vegetables were not overcooked) .. very cheap with big/large servings

Ordered Shanghai Noodles, General Tao Chicken and Kimonos Fried Rice. Was delivered through Skip the Dishes. Everything was hot and delicious, with enough to last a few meals.

Noodles ok , but rice burned on old oil and not eatable. Much worse than it used to taste.

Food was better than expected. They give you a decent portion. Not much to say about the atmosphere as it s a takeout place. Price was cheaper than others in the area. The lady taking the order was pleasant. I d definitely go here again if in the area.

Food was disgusting . The Cantonese chow mein broke apart into mush because there was too much sauce . The lemon chicken was not chicken but just batter and slime. Would not recommend at all

maggots in food

Recently moved to Welland and was planning on checking out this place. Just read a review on Facebook from someone who found a maggot in their food. Absolutely will not go near this place now. Very disgusting. I hope the Niagara board of health pay them a visit. Its 2022 - social media can completely ruin your business. Yall should consider that next time when you fight with your customer over YOUR error.

Their food and service is nothing short of amazing! the Kimono fried rice is my recommendation. It s always freshly served, hot and the mixture of savoury flows will give your taste buds an orgasm!!

My family has ordered from this place many times before. 80% of the time the food has been great. The last two times we had problems with their fried rice; it was crispy, literal black specks of whatever was burnt in their wok. We didnt complain that time as the rest of the meal was fine. The next time we ordered, all of the rice and noodles tasted like it was drowned in salt, not to mention that their soup was just soggy rice; hence no soup at all. perhaps next time separate the broth and rice? 1/4 of their fried shrimp tasted like it was heated multiple times due to the fact the shrimp was hard and inedible. My wife called to let them know that the whole order was a disaster and the man who owns the restaurant reasons behind it was they were busy that night but to come in any time and theyd make a fresh batch. Well that time came and my wife dealt with a woman who straight up told her that if she didnt want it salty then to not ask for salt. That was not the issue when everything prepared was salty that drinking water doesnt help. The woman also told my wife that there must be something wrong with her taste buds and that over the past 20 years there has never been a complaint. Are you kidding? The audacity to argue when you have less than 5 stars? Now tell me you havent had any complaints. Dont talk to customers in a degrading way and expect not to get a review like this. Horrible service; just apologize and move on, whats the point in arguing with someone whos ordered plenty of times from your restaurant? Dont waste your time here. Go to Mandarin if you want fresh and quality food and better service.

Used to order from here monthly practically but they sent me an egg roll that tasted of rot and it didnt stay in me more than half a second be fore warned of this place its went very downhill in quality. UPDATE twice now ive been given rotten food no longer going to order here tired of throwing up after eating, im trying to fill my stomach not empty it further.

I ordered a couple months ago after moving to the area and the majority of the meal was great, but the chicken soo guy was very dry and crusty. Hoping it was a one off and wanting to give them another chance I ordered again tonight. As it s New Years Eve I imagined they would be busy and placed a time called this morning to be delivered around 4:30. When the order arrived not only was the soo guy dried out again, but it had no gravy, the pineapple chicken was actually chicken balls with canned pineapple in the sweet and sour sauce, and they didn t bother to send any chicken fried rice. When I tried to call to request the rest of my order no one answered. I submitted a complaint through Uber eats and received a partial refund as the restaurant is suspiciously unavailable but I would really like the rest of my dinner. I really wanted to like this place as they re one of the only places I ve seen that includes wonton soup in their family combos, but after tonight I won t be back.

First time ordering here, sent my man in to pickup the food. He said the service was great! The food was amazing, and in very large portions. Everything was cooked wonderfully, and was delicious. Would cost a lot to eat here often, but as an occasional treat, a treat is exactly what this place is. Overall a great place. 5/5.

AMAZING food and such fast service!!!! We moved to welland from st Catherines 1 year ago and were skeptical about trying a new Chinese food place since we were used to going to mandarin. But once we tried this place we knew it would be our new favourite spot!!! The food was amazing and for a reasonable price as Chinese food tends to be expensive! The food was so fresh and the delivery is always so fast!!! Hands down best Chinese in town!

Kimonos Saves New Years Eve! Good Food and Good Neighbours. I ordered through a food delivery service which failed spectacularly and refused to deliver the food or refund my money. They did claim the driver returned it to the restaurant, but when I went to pick it up it wasnt there. Kimonos kindly took pity on me made it right even though it was 100% not their fault. Ive been going to Kimonos since they opened many years ago, Ive always enjoyed the food there. But I was nearly in tears last night because of their kindness. Thank You Kimonos and Happy New Year!

I Always find it a hit it miss with certain good items. I will say though that sometimes it is the customer service that will have you coming back. The women who works here with the young kids is an absaloutely amazing women. She is so kind and nice. She seen me trying to wipe my kids face and she came and gave me some baby wipes. She also went above and beyond our entire dinner. I always love a great dinner experience with my family and that is exactly what we got. Thanks again.

We ordered through skip the dishes for dinner last night and are certainly regretting it today. My partner and I have been taking times in the toilet and have had the worst stomach pains and headache. The food seemed okay when we ate it but now Im not so sure considering everything thats unfolding. We will not be ordering here again.

Ordered from skip the dishes.. absolutely awful and I m so beyond disgusted. Ordered shrimp, didn t notice anything last night but this morning when I go to eat my left overs, I found MOLD in the shrimp. Absolutely repulsed. Will never order from here.

We have always Oder from this restaurant and today was the last time! Hard to believe that the holiday my husband and I went into the establishment to place an order that came to 47.71 and waited approx 10 min for it and drive home. Now we don t even live 5 min away, only to get home and realize one of the 6 dishes we had order was wrong that s fine we had wanted Plai. fried rice ( which we had asked if they had and the women said yes) only to get home and it was vegetable Fried rice. Let s look pass that cause we did. Now all sauces were ICE cold ok we can heat them up in the microwave - again looking pass these things! Now let s get to the 5 other dishes all not hot, not even warm Cold!!! Really??? Almost 50 bucks and we are going to eat cold food??? Call them women doesn t say a thing, sorry please come back nothing!!!! I decided to pack everything up and drive it back!!! Why do I want all this food?? Took it back and got not even a sorry!!!! Worst Chinese food Ive ever had. The meat all had small bone fragments in it. Not a single clean soup bowl. Spend the extra money and go to the Mandarin.

The worst buffet I ever had! Food quality is the worst thing! We went to dinner which is $16.99 there was a little food at 6:30pm in the trays and they did not bring more! People try to eat but not enough food! We are for sure not going back anymore!

A lot of trays were missing food, what was there was cold and under cooked. Food and sauce had almost no taste to it or a burnt taste. I remember this place being Good, not sure what happened but will not be back at 17.99 per person when fast food would taste better and be cheaper.

At wellands best buffet, the price is affordable, the food is diverse, ice cream is not available to buy in other places, there are many desserts, especially the salad, very delicious, fresh and clean every day

I wish I knew before going that they only had two buffet tables for their food, no fruit for dessert, no good selection of salads or ice cream. My girlfriend and I had two plates of food that we barely even touched because it didn t taste good at all. $40 for two people is a good price but not at this restaurant. Very disappointing. Knew I should have went to the Mandarin instead. By the way, those poor three huge fish in one tiny tank..

Staff doesnt even ask you for a drink of pop or anything. Pretty lucky if they come around and give you 1 cup of water. Also buffet is slowly stocked and they should be ontop of it.

The price is reasonable, good food

This used to be my go to place in Welland. It seems its switched owners recently though. Nothing was fresh, my kid literally ate one chicken ball and wouldnt touch anything else, I barely ate... The rice tasted off and by the time we got home (about 2 kms) I was throwing up and my kid had horrible stomach cramps. It was $60 for 3 people and I never got my drink but was charged. We wont be back.

Huge selection of food, great prices and staff. From what I ve seen every complaint on here has been addressed. Will come back!

The menu is wrong chow mein is a fried noodles with proteins and vegetables wontons have a filling but they insist that they are right .... Just Google what chow mein and lo mein are and what a wonton is youll see this restaurant is full of bs never order from here unless you just want dried out chicken balls and chop Suey thats supposed to be chow mein

The food was spectacularly average with very friendly staff.

Just went for the first time since the new owners took over. Food was very good and plenty of selection. About the same as before. Nice new paint job and very clean and bright inside. We will definitely go back a couple of times a month from now on.

Good place. If you go for lunch its $12.99 and dinner is $16.99. I havent gone to dinner yet so I dont know if there is different options. For lunch its a great price.. it has all the basics, soups, salads, noodles, meats and desserts. It no mandarin but its good for quick Chinese

I like this place, mainly because the owner is so enthusiastic and friendly. He is always wearing a suit and tie and greets us personally every visit. Food is fine...good selection.

I have been there several times - regular hang out. The food is reasonably priced. Good choices, simple and tastes very good. Owners are there all the time serving and talking to customers.

My sister in law and I bring my neice and nephew here a couple of times a month, its our favorite restaurant in the city. The food is good, but its the people who run it that keep us coming back. Theyre always friendly and sweet and they talk to the kids and make them laugh. They just go that extra mile to make you smile :)

Very unhappy with the food; chicken balls, potatoes, pretty much everything was cold and hard I chipped a tooth trying to eat my potatoes... my fiance watched the one lady bring out a tray of fried rice and it had ice on it and she tried mixing it in... not at all worth nearly 40$ didnt even get an actual drink because it cost to much very displeased with this place, health board should be checking on them
