Swiss Chalet in Welland

The Welland location is dirty, with thick dust on the ledges and sticky tables. They say its from wiping down the tables with harsh cleaner during Covid. Well, replace them then. We refuse to return to this location.

Food was hot and tasty and Megan was an excellent friendly and attentive server.

Faster arrival of food than expected which was great because we were hungry! About 30 minutes instead of 50.

Ordered online for pickup Niagara Street Welland, Ontario. Rude lady at counter (had neck script tattoo) order was incorrect for second time within a 2 month period. When we returned home and noticed this we called and were hung up on the phone. Tried again asked that the missing items be delivered as we were home and our food would go cold returning back to the store. They refused and only offered a credit for the missing food on my online account. I agreed because there was no other option went online to my account to prove the credit was there, which it was and it is time dated. Not likley to use it very dissipointed.

With all the take out / online orders, there should be more than 1 cashier to take orders and serve the food for Swiss Chalet and Harveys! Especially since the price is the same as eating in the restaurant. Parking: No spots available for pick up. Parked in ine if the 3! Valet spots. To leave this post, you have to fill out so much information. Maybe they should pay for customers feedback.

Ordered $50 worth of food in the drive thru. Made me wait for 15 mins just to have missed half my food in the bag. Had to go back in and wait another 15mins for it. Horrendous service.

I have been trying to call the restaurant in Welland for over an hour. I called corporate and they also weren t able to get through to them. How hard is it to answer a phone?

Didnt get what I ordered. They were polite when I went back to have things corrected but still messed up the order. They dont know their own menu, food was cold and stiff. So sad to lose another great restuarent in this town.

The food was delivered. It was prepared well. It was delivered on time. We ordered 1 chicken quesadilla and 1 vegetable quesadilla. We received 2 chicken quesadilla. The pumpkin pie was not great; it had very little pumpkin flavour, tasted mostly of spice, and did not have much texture. It was too moist and too creamy.

My server greeted me as soon as I walked in . Katie was pleasant and friendly. Food was delicious and not cold like the Niagara falls store.

After being seated in a busy environment, we waited 45 min before being served. At least 5 tables that arrived after us had orders taken and food served before us. Food was fine I guess, but we felt we were an inconvenience because were a middle table. For a simple meal, we were there for almost 2 hours. Credits to an unassigned waitress that took care of us which is why we tipped 20% otherwise we would have walked out.

We had takeout. The chicken in the quarter chicken meal was very dry and hard. We were very disappointed! This has never happened at other Swiss Chalet restaurants. We will not be returning to this location.

Ordered large fries, large sauce and 2 for 12.99 apps, all but the fries were great! Normally the fries are cooked well, but tonight they were nearly raw. What I mean, they were not cooked well enough. They were limp and in areas, soggy.

Have been picking up online orders for years from this location with no issue. However this past order was aweful. I could tell it was cold when I picked it up at 7:08, I had ordered a pick up at 7:05. The butter packages were both broken and melted all over the boxes. Clearly this had been packaged long before my desired pick up time and left on the counter. Not sure I will ever use this location again. I could have driven further and gotten a fresher meal. Very disappountedthey threw away tgeir past prime food to a carefully planned online order that should have been easy to execute.

We had several issues with the food including our soft drinks tasting off , our fries were tiny pieces that looked as if they d been taken from the bottom of the bag, and our kids cheesy noodles were under cooked with unmelted shredded cheese sprinkled on top. Service was friendly and quick but food quality was very poor.

For about the 8th time in a row, always something missing from my drive-thru order. Its impossible to get butter + sour cream + ketchup. One of these is always missing, even after specifically asking for each item and being told that these are in the bag. ALSO: look at the amount of fries in my last order (unable to attach photo)! At least 1/3 less than usual!! New owners? They count on the fact that you wont go all the way back to get missing items and when I call, I can only reach the person who takes orders - you can never reach the restaurant since they wont answer the phone. Ill have to park and check through entire order in my car before I leave or go inside to place the order from now on. And of course this review will never make a difference since there isnt much integrity left now a days...

I got home and there were NO RIBS just the sauce This is the second time this has happened at this location! Second post!!! And yet again on September 15th 2024, my order was missing the sauce!!! I usually check since my first couple of experiences, but my husband picked up this time!! This place is absolutely awful at forgetting things, but the prices still go up! Don t get me wrong, I fully understand the reason for increases, and gladly pay, but I do expect what I ordered to be included! Terrible service.

I found the food undercooked even though I specifically said Well done. The air conditioning was up so high our food was cold within minutes. We asked ( as did people around us ) to turn down the AC but it was not done. The waitress was nice enough but the food and environment were definitely lacking. I wouldnt recommend

I eat at Swiss Chalet at least once a week. I have had Sandra as my waitress on a number of occasions and have been more than pleased with the service she gave. She is very knowledgeable on all the menu items. This is very helpful when ordering. She is also very pleasant and I am very grateful for that.

NEVER coming to this location again. Had a terrible experience with a woman (caucasian, short blonde hair, tattoo s, glasses) at the speaker and at the window. Started off strong with her cutting me off while ordering and correcting the way I spoke my order? Pull up to the window, no greeting, not a single word on her behalf. I payed and received my food with not a single word but just a snarky look on her face. Absolutely ridiculous, people like her don t deserve a job.

Went out to Swiss chalet for a family dinner we had reservations for 15 people 2 of which were from Saskatchewan and we hadn t seen in 8 years. First off they say they didn t know we were coming. Then they sit us in a place where we couldn t all sit together. When the food came our orders were all wrong. Our bills were wrong and some never got straightened out. To top it off the food was very poor and not up to Swiss chalet standards at all. The servers were rude. They gave us boxes to take our leftovers home after they dumped our food in the trash.My mom called Chrissy the manger to complain and got a lousy 50.00 gift card for all the mistakes it should have been a lot more.

Had lunch at Swiss Chalet. The food was great, but what was even greater was the service from Brittney! Ive had her as a waitress before and shes always incredibly friendly with a smile on her face and making sure were well taken care of!

Daryl was a wonderful server and made the whole experience wonderful. Parking: There is about 20 parking spaces up front and about the same amount in the back. Wheelchair accessibility: There are several handicap parking spots and automatic doors and a ramp.

Daryl is efficient, professional & and very friendly.

I wanted to try the crispy chicken sandwich but the person at the cash register screwed up my order and I ended up with the chicken on a bun which I did not enjoy at all. Was very disappointed but live too far to go back. Might try NF location. Got the impression that person at register was not familiar with the menu. Ordered chicken and 1/2 rack ribs for my spouse and she also entered the sauce incorrectly and without asking which I did catch and another person manager ? was nice enough to correct. The chicken was fine but the ribs are just ok. The cheesy garlic bread was very good.

I can t comment on the food nor the atmosphere, because we we arrived at the welland location on Niagara street at 915 pm they told us they were closed. Yet, the website states they are open until 10pm. They suggested we get take out as the kitchen was still fully operational and head over into the Harvey s to order and take it to go. That s really bad customer service if you as me. Google and the official website states they close at 10 pm.
