Hands down the best pizza in Welland is at Tempus. We visit multiple cities a day and we like to try new restaurants on our lunch breaks. We ve tried all the pizzerias in welland and Tempus has absolutely knocked it out of the park. The amazing views, cleanliness of the kitchen and delicious food makes this a place to come back to, to keep trying new dishes.

After a long day at my retail job, we stopped in for a late dinner. Charla, our first point of contact and server, greeted us with a welcoming smile and a warm welcome. Charla brought us the menu along with the wine menu. I was delighted when I looked at the wine menu to see Niagara wines featured so prominently. We ordered a glass of the Rebecca Rose from Kacaba to accompany the delicous warmed goat cheese. As I reviewed the extensive wine menu, Charla was able to answer my questions about the wines that were available. We selected two incredible main, the prosciutto pork chop and the 1/2 roasted chicken. Deciding on a 2019 Meritage from Kacaba, we enjoyed that and the remnants of the incredible warmed goat cheese. Shortly our mains came out and we were blown away. Presentation was incredible, the portions were huge. The tastes were beyond awesome. The pork was richly flavourful, the roast chicken was juicy and flavourful. The entire meal was incredible. Charla, our server was amazing, she was helpful without being obtrusive. We will be back to further explore Tempus menu!

Excellent food, service and ambiance

Order a salad and you had to chop it yourself. Inquired to see if this was the case and they took since July to even answer after calling and messaging. Still havent had a answer to my question. Will never recommend this place to anyone

Best chicken ever!!!!

Great overall. We had the calamari which was good and the potato pizza was delicious and unique. Good wine list, we were delighted with the Cab Syrah. Atmosphere was intimate and classy, and the view of the bridge at night really added to the vibe.

I wont be back. I am not one to post reviews however the stars will tell you how I feel about this place. No need to respond.

I have dined at Tempus several times and have consistently found the food to be exceptional. The service is amazing and the staff are very friendly.

We attended a wedding at Tempus Restaurant last week, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were superb, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the event. The food was absolutely amazing every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The cocktail drinks were top-notch too, adding a special touch to the evening. The location is just perfect right by the canal and Welland Bridge, offering a stunning backdrop for photos and a relaxing atmosphere. The interior gave off such an elegant yet cozy vibe, perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger events. The ambiance really set the tone for a memorable night. Highly recommend this venue for any special occasion!

Don t plan any big celebrations here if you want a last minute headache.

We have arranged a celebration with Julian. But it was canceled by him last minute as the prices has been changed and we were told they cannot accommodate us because our bill is around $100 less than what was agreed upon and it was a long weekend. It was understandable but come on, for $100 he will cancel on us last minute he probably just forgot that they don t work on the long weekend.

Good location but the foods were so horrible! It was inedible at all. The cooks and chefs should know better. Foods must be improved!

My husband and I went for a late dinner. We loved the ambience and decor. Food was delicious, and our server Tino was friendly and offered excellent customer service. We will be sure to visit again.

The restaurant is nicely seated on the canal and has a semi-pleasent vibe. However, this does not make up for the lack of service and poor quality food.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with great service and great food! The owner was really helpful and accommodating for our group. We had the private dining area which was beautifully decorated and perfect for a family event. Food was really good and lots of options on the menu. I100% recommend the prosciutto wrapped pork chop. Our server was kind and made sure we are taken care of. We definitely will be back!

Very enjoyable evening with great food.

Drinks were spot on, steak was a bit gristly but cooked well. The arugula pasta had more seagulls than noodles, which was a bit odd but still good flavour. The fry s and Demi sauce were out of this world. Great location and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Food is fantastic

Don t waste your money at Tempus in Welland. We will never go back! I ordered a salad that was supposed to have a Gorgonzola dressing. It had no Gorgonzola flavour, more of a sharp, lemon taste and not even a speck of Gorgonzola. For my main, I ordered the Gnocchi with red sauce. The Gnocchi was floating in a red, tomato soup which had no flavour at all and had a very, strange smell. Nothing could save this dish. I had one bite and told our server that I couldn t eat it. She sent out the owner who offered to make it better. I said I wanted to send it back and didn t want anything else. My partner s dish, Linguini with shrimps, was also flavourless and he suspected that the shrimp were frozen. The meal was a huge disappointment and we will never go back to Tempus. The shocker for us was that he charged us for the Gnocchi! If the owner had been gracious and taken it off our bill, I would not have written this review. SO disappointing!

Finally stopped in here to give it a shot after dining at Taris numerous times. Our Server was great, friendly, great speed of service. The food, however, was a let down. The Arancini app was good but the rest of the meal and dessert disappointing. My wife asked for extra crispy wings, they came out soggy. Seasoned well (Cajun) but under fried for an extra crispy request. Mushy almost. The filet mignon was a mess. Asked for medium and 3/4 of the filet was well done (no pink at all). It was chewy as well. It is bacon wrapped however I would suggest you ask for it without bacon (which I should have done). I got what I paid for with this filet. The Taris filet was $52 and always fantastic. For dessert, the Caramel Banana Cake was very dry and/or stale and needed a LOT more caramel sauce to save the dish. While we dined at Taris dozens of times, we wont return here.

One of my favourite spots for a drink on the patio overlooking the bridge ! We loved the fresh rolls and the tuna sashimi. They had a watermelon marg that day and was lovely. Justen is the best - we had a great time and service was great. Happy to have another spot in Welland!

We were very happy with our restaurant experience. 6 ladies out for lunch. Salad. Burger and appetizers. We will definitely go back and will tell our friends about this Welland treasure.

Everything was excellent, from the food, the service and atmosphere . We enjoyed a beautiful lunch on a warm September afternoon. We definitely will be back, in the evening this time to also enjoy the bridge with the lights on. I will recommend Tempus to all my friends. Try it, you wont be disappointed!

Found this gem when I was out in Welland on a business trip. The food was amazeballs. Definitely go try it, it ll be your favourite. I don t usually do reviews but the staff and food were awesome and they are relatively new, so here we are.

My Wife and I have driven past Tempus numerous times noticing the recently renovated facade, we decided to stop in for dinner. We had sub par experiences at the previous restaurant and since it is located on what is easily the nicest patio in Wellend we yearned for a better experience. I must say the team at Tempus had us impressed from the second we walked in the door until we left. Servers were very knowledgeable and on point. They promptly took our drink order and gave us menu suggestions as well as the daily features. We decided to split the Charcuterie board which was more than enough deliciously sliced meats and accompaniments that we were unsure we would been able to even finish our mains. For our mains I ordered the veal chop which was tender and cooked to perfection with the masala Demi taking it over the top with flavour and not to mention something I don t see on a lot of restaurants serve any more. My wife decided on the Chilean Sea bass with oyster mushrooms which was practically gone minutes after it hit the table due to its flaky consistency and bold flavours. Based on our overall experience I found the price point to be more than fair. We noticed owner and the Chef taking the time to do table checks and introductions. With All the little details executed to perfection it made it pretty easy to give it 5/5 Will definitely be returning (possibly again this week)

My husband and I went for diner last night and it was amazing. We sat on the patio overlooking the water and the bridge all lit up. The service was great and not rushing us in any way. The food was incredible! Honestly, 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Was the best experience that I ever had

My wife and I went to support the local new business for a drink, when we walked in at 9:35 we were attacked by the the little bald man with an attitude and said it is closed. There were a lot of people around the bar when it closes at 10 :00. He was very unprofessional and rude . We we not be back and with a guy like that there the business will not succeed unfortunately. This review does not reflect on the food or atmosphere which looks great .

Beautiful new restaurant in Welland I was in town visiting friends, and I was recommended Tempus Restaurant as a place to dine. Friendly and attentive table service, Chef Owner Julian Porretta even made time to come over to our table and help my indecisive wife with dinner recommendations. The food was hot and fresh and the view from the patio was stunning especially in the early evening when the Bridge lights up. A nice surprise to experience big city talent in a quaint small town, Tempus is now indexed on my car navigation .

Amazing dinner with a friend. Received a four on food only because we order half pizza with no onions but onions came on the whole pizza the servers were amazing when it started to rain. They came out with umbrellas. Great service.

Tried this place last night and wanted to share my thoughts. Atmosphere and service were very good. The food was good, but nothing special. The Carbonara was dry and not creamy the way I like it. Calamari was tender and well prepared. It is a beautiful spot and would return for some apps on the patio.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was lovely The service was perfect, our waiter was so helpful and attentive, he was always available when we needed anything. The sweet potato fries were so crispy and seasoned perfect, simple but delicious. We will definitely be back!

Just got a Cheese Pizza Dam-good

Lovely restaurant but a little overpriced for Welland. Pasta portion ... spaghetti carbonara...was on the small side. Potato pizza was somewhat bland. Our server was good but inaccurate about one of the ingredients on the pizza, after I specifically asked . Feature dessert was tasty but again, portion was on the small side and slightly overpriced.

Celebration supper tonight in honour of being another year on earth. We were greeted when we arrived and taken to our table. Our waitstaff came immediately to give us water, took our drink order and told us of the app special, mussels in two different sauces, however when I asked about doing them with white wine, we were accommodated. Kudos to the kitchen as they were delicious. Our entree was served in a timely fashion and we ate without getting pictures but again delicious. Of course dessert was again so good but no pictures. I want to thank all the staff but especially Tinto for making our experience so wonderful. One last note, it is a pleasure to see the owner bringing food out to customers as no job is too menial for him to do. Its things like this that make a place successful. We shall return!!!!

My partner and I went to Tempus for dinner and had a fantastic experience. I have a gluten allergy and the server, Tino was very knowledgeable on what I could have and provided incredible service. I had the gluten free pasta with a cream sauce and it was by far the best cream sauce I have ever had. Drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert were all excellent. Our server Tino was very friendly and attentive, providing an excellent experience for us. We will be coming back again and recommending Tempus to our friends! Thank you!

We arrived down to look at a house and heard about a new restaurant to try. We arrived to find a clean and ambient atmosphere. Great atmosphere, excellent food and service. We were so happy to see this local restaurant open in Welland. The patio is lovely, but the atmosphere inside is cozy and welcoming too. We loved our food - opted for a couple of the dinner features as well as some regular menu items. Everything was great, and prices very reasonable for the quality of the menu offerings. Our server was excellent, and all staff in the restaurant were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Been trying to get here since they opened, we finally made it! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is lively and the owner/chef even took the time to come over and make sure everything was good. I came with two kids so having the pizza and wings options are a nice option for them. It also makes this a great spot for date night or casual pizza and wings. See you next week!

Yesterday, our family of four enjoyed a fabulous meal at Tempus. To start, we enjoyed the calamari which was cooked to perfection. For dinner, my daughter loved her chicken fingers, my son and husband savoured the steak, and my Im Not Your Bro-Shetta pizza was fantastic! For dessert we shared the Duo of Creme Brulee and the Italian Bombaloni (doughnut). Both were amazing! Lastly, our beverages for the evening were the Mango Margarita, and the Tempus Standard. Both were excellent! Julian (the owner) is definitely passionate about his restaurant, and operates with a great deal of integrity. We would highly recommend Tempus to others, and we will definitely be returning!

Went to visit this new restaurant last night as I had heard good things about it. However I was shocked to hear yelling from the kitchen from management towards the employees. The blatant lack of respect towards the employees was astounding and made for one of the worst restaurant experience I ve ever had. I felt embarrassed for the servers and will not be returning. Learn to value your employees and treat them with the respect they deserve. I understand that things can get tense sometimes but guest DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT!

Had a wonderful dinner at Tempus on Saturday evening. The food and drinks were phenomenal. We sat on the patio which was beautiful. Our server Alisia was amazing. Cant wait to go back again. If I could rate it higher than five stars, I would.

After hoping welland would get restaurant with good food I was disappointed value for your money not there food well I oder there chicken plate after waiting more than 35 minutes I couldnt belive it I think I got 4 bites out of the chicken and wasnt very good the calimer 4 rings the dessert no taste oka I understand they just open still need to get it right they can start in the kitchen oka I will give them one more chance to get it right

I just want to give a huge SHOUT OUT TO TEMPUS RESTAURANT IN WELLAND.. The owner of this place went above and beyond and helped today with me and my kids. We were in a accident and they made sure that the kids had water and Ice cream. as we were not allowed to leave our vehicle till police were on sight . (We had to wait 2 hours for cops). No one was hurt thank goodness. But not being allowed out untill there was a cop was alot for my two kids. And the ower and employees were amazing people. If anyone wants to try a new place. Please check out this place. They didnt have to do what they did today for us. And I am forever greatful for tempus and their amazing staff.

Wait times for our food were very long. Once served, the lamb and pizza were underwhelming. Our app was also cold in the middle. We asked the staff what the delay was, and received a less than friendly response. The drinks were good and sitting outside on the patio was lovely. Food

My husband and I stopped by Tempus for an appetizer and drinks. Thought we would try it out during a bike ride. I had a delicious red wine sangria and my husband had an expensive micro beer. We ordered the coconut curry mussels that were quite tasty The waiter Justin offered bread to go along with the mussels (as it s not included) It was an overall good experience Just what we needed for our break. Justin was very personable and plaisant. The clincher though was the $4 cost for the 6 pieces of crostini bread that should have been included with the mussels. Really? We were quite surprised considering what we paid for the mussels and the drinks. $65 bike break

Good experience overall. Food was decent. Not top tier, but about what you d expect for the price. As others have mentioned, the service was a little slow, but our server was working hard to serve many tables. The whole meal took about 2 hours from the time we entered the restaurant until the time we left. Could be an understaffing issue. The staff were lovely and helped rescue everyone on the patio when rain started pouring, using umbrellas to walk everyone and their food inside. Overall, enjoyed the experience and will be back.

Was our first time here after the opening of Tempus and we were blown away by the service provided. We came for our three year anniversary and Tino was honestly one of the best servers we ve ever had. Tino even gave us a mini photoshoot on the patio at the end of our meal. May I suggest considering adding vegan options to your menu (or, at least, signalling which items on the menu can be made vegan with a little v or something)? There is a market in Welland now that weve lost our beloved Vegan Hippie Chick. The food was delicious! The cocktails were refreshing. The view and the atmosphere are incredible. We went for dinner here tonight. It was their opening night. I had the goat cheese and roasted red pepper dip and the bruschetta pizza, and both were delicious. The mago margarita was yummy. The staff were very friendly. The owner came over and asked us how everything was. He stayed and chatted with us for a while. I was impressed he did this because I am sure this had been an overwhelming day for him. This little gem is definitely worth trying.

Best pizza and pasta in Niagara!

Went on the 2nd day they were officially open for dinner with my wife. We ate out on the patio and the decor & atmosphere inside & outside on the patio were wonderful. All our food selections were done perfectly and the highlights for me were the lamb shank entree (melt in your mouth) and the duo creme brulee (especially the espresso half). Parking: While the restaurant does not have a lot of parking, you can park on Niagara Street south of the restaurant and walk up. There is also a vacant lot on the west side of Niagara Street opposite the Bridgewater Brewery which has a lot of vacant spots.

Second visit and repeat calamari!! Delish! Tried the arancini and they were amazing, lots of stuff in the middle and not so much breading - perfect blend!! So far every dish was spot on! Today s beverage - white sangria and Caesar s were very thirst quenching!

We visited the restaurant for Father s Day. The service was extremely good. Our server was hospitable and warm. There was no unprecedented delay with the courses. The Fresh crab rolls were light and refreshing. The peanut sauce was the highlight. I ordered the Half roast chicken which was cooked to perfection. I would have appreciated a bigger portion of the seasonal vegetables that went along with the dish. But overall, it was good. The highlight of the meal was the Crème brûlées. It was creamy and light and just perfect. I would definitely visit again.

The wait time was absolutely ridiculous.. we waited an hour and a half for appetizers 40 minutes for drinks.. then we ordered food to go for our husbands and got the take out before some of our appetizers and didn t get our mains yet We asked for a discount after being there for 2.5 hours. We over heard the manager in the kitchen that was cooking say why? Cause they are in a rush when the server asked about getting a discount. No because we were there for 2.5 hours. Absolutely unacceptable. Most of us took our food to eat at home. We figured 1.5hrs we would have ate and left already. If we decided to actually eat our food there, we would have been there for 3 hours! Never again will we go there

It took 45 minutes for a can of beer to drink and 2 hours for my meal (pasta). There was only 2 cooks in the kitchen working so hard to keep up. There is too much seating for two cooks. The kitchen has a window you can look in, some food sat there for 20 minutes before getting served

My wife and I made a 7.30pm booking on a weeknight. The restaurant was about half full when we were seated. The decor is attractive, however the room was very noisy, thanks to a group of young women at the rear of the restaurant. Our server was very pleasant, but obviously inexperienced. We waited 45 minutes to receive our starter, which was lukewarm when served. The main course however was very good. The kitchen was producing quality dishes, but the delivery to the table lacked focus. My wife would have ordered lamb shank, however was not allowed to substitute mashed potato for polenta. We ordered red wine with our mains, but were surprized that only 6oz glasses were available. The kitchen deserved at least a 4 star rating, however understandable minor breakdowns in communication with the serving staff led to the lower overall rating. We will go back and expect to be able to report more favourably next time.

Decided to try, wish we didn t. Pasta was mediocre at best, The wait time was horrendous. Almost 2 hours ???? The owner is not very friendly. And we had to walk across 2 lanes of live traffic for this headache. never again.

Food was great staff was friendly. Definitely worth the short drive from Hamilton. I would have taken pictures but was too excited for my food lmao. Pics incoming next visit

2nd time here, first time for food, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Owner is great, patio is one to envy, the standard cocktail was on of the best ive ever had and service was fantastic. Highly recommend 10/10

Wings were delicious! Breaded and seasoned perfectly, you can really tell that the cooks know what theyre doing, and the chef even took the time to ask me how I was enjoying my meal, great service and will be coming back often.

They provided great service, great food options that are very tasty, with a wonderful view on the patio. First time there and was with my Mother and Aunt who were visiting, each of them had a wonder experience and appreciated the glutton free options.
