I visited Welland on the day I wanted to checkout a Lexus used car sold by Shadow Auto( turned out a bad experience separate review posted) This restaurant was in Welland ON - a friendly town where some areas were run down. The ambience is traditional Thai decor with some unique pieces. The owner of the restaurant was delightful the service awesome and one word to describe the food is OUTSTANDING. It s a pity that this joint is not in Toronto or closer for me to visit again. Very reasonable prices. Please do visit this place for grt Thai food. This is what good customer service combined with grt food feels like.

Our first visit to downtown Welland on the first Saturday of summer to have lunch. Thailandia is located on East Main Street near City Hall and the historic Court House building. A small outdoor patio space was ideal vantage point and apart from the amazing food was the exceptionally affordably priced items on Thailandias menu. A wonderful, friendly host welcomed us and it was difficult choosing from the menu with many items looking very tempting. We settled with Mixed Vegetables and Royal Pad Thai with chicken and both were accompanied by soup and delicious spring roll. Level of spiciness available. Service was reasonably quick and everything was fantastic and tasty. Portion size was very good. The indoor dining room is quite large and traditional in style. Everything was clean and fresh looking. On street parking available, free on weekends, pay parking weekdays. There may have been a parking lot behind the restaurant but Im not sure. A definitely pleasurable place for lunch or dinner. $$

I got crispy cashew chicken I wouldnt call this crispy, I would call it day old breaded chicken, panfried in a slim that I can only call bitter. The veggies in this dish were fresh and crunchy. I would not order this dish again. The service was fast, however I hope that doesnt indicate rental food.......

The atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is so delicious! I really loved the spring rolls and the fresh rolls but everything we ordered was amazing! The staff is very kind and welcoming.

I ve been here 3 times. Once in person, which was my first time, they give great customer service for a din in, and gave a complementary side (it was delicious). I ve been twice after for takeout, today I was the only customer in store ( they had at least one phone order ) I was in and out within 8 minutes and they offered water when I sat down. I get home, my food is HOT and delicious, they surprised me with a delicious extra side! It honestly made my day, I love this place. ALSO the decor is phenomenal, I love the energy, they are very nice people. I definitely recommend giving this place your time + money :D Parking: Free parking in the back! Two entrances

Just ordered from here for the first time, the red curry chicken lunch and it was INCREDIBLE. Delivery was quick and the portion size was great. Will definitely be ordering again!

My husband and I went for dinner last night with our infant son. The food was incredible, my husband hadnt really tried thai food before so we ordered quite a bit. We got their app sampler for 2 and the chicken satays and mango salad were our favorites on that. We also ordered wonton soup, fresh spring rolls, Royal Pad Thai, Pineapple fried rice and Thai iced coffees. It was a rainy Friday night and in the time of us being there, they probably had 12 takeout orders picked up and 5 tables of people. With them being so busy, the kitchen seemed a little backed up however it was reassuring that everything was made fresh - and the food was delicious. Our server was attentive and hands on in helping with our son. We ended up having 1/2 our food packed up to go home since they were so busy and we were now starting to push our sons bedtime. The only comment/feedback Id give is that the pineapple fried rice seemed to be missing chicken - but it was still very tasty. Id highly recommend. Next time, were going to order it as take out to make things a little easier.

I had the rangoons and garlic tiger shrimp dinner. Both were amazing and I am excited to have found new spot in the area. And my GF was able to get a Vegetarian option.

I had gotten the like spicy chicken pad thai or something of that nature, it had no flavour at all let alone spice and it was pretty unappetizing. Same thing for their spring rolls. The crab rangoons were new to me but tasty. Service was really, really, slow, the waitress was really nice and friendly but they must have been the only person working.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. The food was so good it even won over my meat and potatoes Dad. It s a smaller place but very clean with splashes of Thai decorations throughout. If you are in the mood for some Asian food and want to enjoy a quiet meal away from the hustle and bustle this could be the hidden gem you are looking for. Parking: There is parking out front on the street and free parking in a lot behind the restaurant.

I went because the people with me wanted Thai food, Im not so familiar. First came the pumpkin soup and a large spring roll.... DELICIOUS! Then my son ordered deep fried wontons OMG I want more!! Then my chicken curry! Just enough room for it all and Ill be going back soon!!

My favorite spicy chicken Thai in Niagara !

$8 for veggie fresh spring rolls. Cut into tiny pieces that fall apparr after one bite. So you better eat the whole piece because then its jist shredded lettuce. Its basically one roll of lettuce and carrots cut up into 6 pieces for $8!!! This is only for the fresh rolls. Total rip off. Dont order them. The rest of their menu is great. I called and they didnt offer any compensation at all.

Great food. I wasnt prepared to see the fresh rolls cut up, but it worked out well for sharing. When selecting a spicy dish, I was disappointed to find it to be quite mild. Otherwise, very tasty, clean, and fresh. The decor is nice, but very open. Would have liked to have some cozy booths, but like I said, its still a nice, warm atmosphere.

I have driven by here so many times. I ordered from here for the first time and so glad I did! The crab ragoon are amazing..... Nice size and lots of tasty filling! I also ordered the royal pad Thai and it was incredible. Chicken, shrimp and tofu!! And they even sent an extra wonton things I didnt order and they were really good! Will definitely order from here again!!

This use to be my favourite place to get Thai. The past 3 times we have ordered it has been a fail. I called and gave them my feedback the last time we ordered and they didnt seem to care or attempt to rectify the poor product.. I felt guilty for doing it. Since I have given my feedback several friends have also expressed the same experiences with their food. Is there a reason for the changes with the quaility that I am not aware of? Key ingredients missing from meals that are listed on the menu that dont come in your dish when you order. I would love to order if I can be guaranteed the quality it once was.

Love this place. The service , food , price presentation are all excellent. Its one of my favorite place here in Welland. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I have gone here for years and loved it! Whatever is going on now the pad thai is not edible. I have tried many times now to tell them about the over cooked noodles and pratically NO other ingredients. The last time the shrimp was clearly off - bad smell and texture. No peanuts or sauce and two pieces of stale tofu - the sauce tasted like ketchup . I have tried to speak to them and they could care less - Sadly I give up ...

Thailandia food used to be awesome and consistent but lately it s been hit and miss. We ordered take out this past Monday and it was a total miss. The Pad Thai was dry and disgusting. So very disappointed. Will no longer recommend, it s too bad. You lost a customer Thailandia.

I went for my first visit here (wish Id known about it before) placed a takeout order with a friendly behind counter server. I had won ton soup, the broth was tasty and the wontons were pillow soft and filled with a wonderful chicken stuffing. I also had the Special Appetizer platter for 2 and all items were very good. The wonton and spring rolls were so crispy, not a hint of residual oil. The fresh spring roll was stuffed tight with crisp fresh ingredients. My only wish that the dipping sauce was a little spicier.

Thailandia is probably where we order most often from. Their food is great but the service tonight was terrible. We have had items missing before and a driver brings it over, but tonight we were missing 2 rice bowls and i was told I would have to pay a delivery fee for them to bring it... So I asked for a refund, I payed with card and was told I will have to come in person to get a cash refund. Super inconvenient. Very unimpressed with the service tonight. Would have been a simple fix to just drive the rice over. Some people are on their own with small kids and cant just drive over to rectify a mistake made by the restaurant.

Wow great food in welland

They are not keen on getting business. Their website says that they are open until 8.30 pm. We reached at 7.30 and they refused.

Food was 13 minutes early. I call at 4:30 they told me 7. I showed up at 6:45 and it was ready. Great flavour and quality.

Prices are a bit on the higher side but Ive ordered twice and loved it both times. Plus the ingredients seem pretty fresh so sometimes you get what you pay for. The first time I had the peanut pad Thai with chicken, the second time I went with a chicken peanut curry, which was also delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful and they have thrown in a couple of spring rolls and won tons which was a nice little surprise. I highly recommend!

Best Thai food in the area. Order the sticky rice with peanut sauce early enough on the Fridays & Saturdays or they may run out! Its delicious.

We ordered from Thailandia tonight and got the peanut panang curry (with beef) and it was amazing! So full of flavour. The pad Thai and spring rolls were great as well (hard to go wrong there). Food was ready on time for pickup and service was excellent! We will be back for more curries and noodles :)

Ate on the patio! The service was very good; but I have to say the food was a bit disappointing! The flavour just wasn t there. We had the Authentic Pad Thai and Ginger Chicken which were extremely bland in flavour as entrees and shared a Thai salad which wasn t anything to rave about. The food was fresh, just lacking authentic Thai (or any) real flavour.

The restaurant offers outdoor dining as well as indoor however only 2 tables and not advisable to eat outside. (Flies & wasps wanted out appetizer) Very nice, relaxing atmosphere. The food was generous and delicious! Friendly staff and inexpensive prices. I highly recommend.

It was some of the worst Thai food I have ever had. The basil beef and pineapple curried chicken were tasteless. Not impressed at all! We were in welland for a wedding and they were the #1 recommended. I would totally not recommend especially for 105.00 for our order.

Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, specially asked for no nuts & had to pay extra for the chicken. What we got was two VERY TINY pieces of chicken (literally 50 cents a pop for a small piece you could stab with a fork), AND it still had nuts in it! Was not impressed with a restaurant that cant even handle basic allergy requests & tries to pass off tofu for chicken. We also ordered the sweet & sour chicken which was just a container full of veggies, again, almost no chicken! and the rice was just tasteless plain white rice in a separate container that was far less than was required for the amount of veggies we were given. I literally couldve cooked this better at home myself. Stay away, especially if you have allergies, these people dont care about you.

Ordered $50 worth food and it was terrible, took one bite of everything and through it all out. Pad Thai was the quality of a Lean cuisine the green curry had no flavor the jasmine rice had no fragrance and tasted bland. The garlic shrimp tasted of burnt garlic and the shrimp were overcooked (rubber) I called just to let them know and was not given any type of customer service. I wasnt rude at all on the phone either. They could have had a bad night considering there is a high rating on this restaurant although Im not sure the last time I got it it wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. Wouldnt recommend if you like true Thai food.

Good food and portions for a good price. I usually get the pad thai and find its better the sooner you eat it. When you eat there its great, if you get take out and are getting to it 30 minutes or more after you picked it up not as great but still good. The sauce they give you with the spring rolls is incredible. If you have never been before give it a try and also store fronts on Main St but parking is off Division St in the back.

Perfectly flavored and great wait staff

Im very fussy about my Thai food (Id say its my favourite cuisine) and I was very pleased to discover this place during my recent visit to see a friend who lives in the Niagara Region. We had a starter sampler for 2, a golden curry and a Phad Thai with shrimp. Everything was very tasty and service attentive. We are around 4pm and the place was pretty empty when we came in. By the time we left, it was jumping! Recommended.

At first I thought the price was a little higher then most other Thai restaurants until I realized that the price included a spring roll which would have made other places more expensive. Food tastes great sizes were good and the staff were awesome

This restaurant is delicious. Their lunch specials are fantastic - they come with soup and a spring roll. Todays soup was pumpkin with some coconut milk and it was AMAZING. Their dishes are well portioned and very tasty. The service is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is very nice and very comfortable. Truly a great gem in Welland.

Best coconut rice I ever had. Chicken was prepared beautiful. Beef was below average. Very good value. Overall I recommend checking this place out if you enjoy Thai food. Note that parking is behind the building and accessed from Division St and not Main St.

We had a fantastic meal at Thailandia! Haven t eaten in Thailand before but had lots of Thai is western Canada and this was by far among the best we ve had. Panang and green curry were on point as well as basil beef. Coconut rice was also very flavourful. Definitely recommend.

I asked for something that was not on the menu and they made it for me. I asked for a local risking wine and they had it. Decor is very lavish, and there is outdoor seating too.

The pumpkin soup was delicious and my pad Thai was wonderful! My friend had questions about ingredients and our server was very helpful. A great meal after a great adventure!

Very pleased with the service and food. They provided complimentary spring rolls when we arrived and complimentary fried banana and coconut ice cream for dessert, which was delicious! Portion size was good and were able to accommodate some dietary restrictions.

First time I went here, I was very surprised by how good the food was. The restaurant itself is a little run-down, but the delicious food and friendly service makes up for it. Green curry and peanut curry are fantastic! Both dine in and take out are great portions, delicious, and very well priced. I eat here probably 4 or 5 times a month and its great every time!

The complimentary spring rolls were great as were the crab Rangoon (despite the filling being room temperature). The entrees were awful. The noodles were mushy and had NO taste whatsoever. The tap water they served had more taste than the entrees. We got our food to go, drove to the grocery store to get sauces to put on it then went home to eat it. All that aside the restaurant itself seemed clean and the decor was pretty cool.

The interior is pleasant. The complementary spring rolls were good as were the crab ragoons. The entrees smelled amazing but had zero flavor. It was the weirdest experience Ive ever had. Its like eating soggy plain noodles.

Unfriendly service... felt like I was bothering the guy... and worst of all the Chicken Pad Thai Im certain was made with ketchup... it was even red... Ill never go back...

The only thing I ve eaten here that was sub par was the pad Thai (oddly enough), it was a dry sticky mess. The lamb and spicy beef are excellent.

Top marks for cleanliness. Friendly staff. Hilight though was the food. Hot, tasty, plentiful. If you go and like Spivey, try the spicy beef in broth with noodles.

Excellent food overall! You really cant go wrong with anything you order - everything is very fresh and authentic. Note that when they say Spicy ... its S-P-I-C-Y!

Very good restaurant. Authentic cuisine straight from Thailand and into the heart of Niagara! Think you can handle the heat of traditional thai spices? Do you love the taste of oh so sweet coconut rice? Mmmm. Dee Mak! Very Good The food here is always Aroy-dee! Delicious. And if you want to say hello how are you in Thai just say, Sawat-dee (Hello) Sabai-dee mai? (How are you?) This place is owned by very good people. When I was younger and full of curiosity and some troubles like any young man they still took me in and treated me almost like family. This place in my opinion should be greatly accepted into the community. Even though they come from another country these people went out of their way to help a youth in the community big time. More then alot of other places can say.

First time ordering here, definitely wont be the last! Ordered 2x Royal Pad Thai and 1x Crab Rangoon.. what can i say other than EXCELLENT! The Pad Thai was clean tasting, not oily and quite crisp & refreshing. Since moving to Welland 2 years ago Ive not been able to find a restaurant of any food type Id care to be a regular. This would be the first! Well done Thailandia! ...Well done! Thank you for such a great experience.
