We love Evelyn s. The ingredients are always fresh and home made. Even the turkey and the roast beef for the sandwiches are freshly made. So delicious and fairly priced. The service is always kind and pleasant too. I can understand why this place is always busy. It s excellent.

For anybody with wheat allergies/intolerance, lettuce wraps are available in lieu of bread. Always great portions for the price and the food always tastes fresh and yummy. The staff is always friendly and the service quick. No complaints here!

Best sandwiches in Welland.

Placed an order then was forced to wait 45 minutes, and watch people get served that ordered long after I did so I could pay overpay for a very mediocre sandwich that should have taken 5 minutes. One of the staff ladies actually gave me attitude when I voiced the extended wait time that it will take 5 or 10 minutes to make an order not realizing I had been waiting close to 40 minutes at that time. Even if the sandwiches were something special, (they are not) I wouldnt go back due to the terrible service. *Edit* My review was replied to, stating nobody has ever waited 40 minutes for a sandwich from the owner, that is a lie. I assure you I waited well over 45 minutes for a sandwich, and 4 other co-workers were all there waiting with me, also vocally commenting on the ridiculous wait time. Even worse than a long wait time for a mediocre sandwich is when an operator cannot admit when theyre wrong and lie in an attempt to save face.

WOWY! This is a sandwich! I love food, I am very picky and love the classics. This is an amazing Turkey Sammy on wicked fresh bread and alllll the garnish anyone could ever want. Caught them just before closing. Pam and Nikita were gracious enough to make me lunch. I have been waiting far to long to try this place out. If you havent, go to Evelyns ASAP! Good sandwiches. They were out of turkey when I ordered, & they didnt get my order right. They put lettuce instead of sprouts, light rye instead of dark& ended up giving me turkey instead of chicken salad. If I knew I was getting turkey, I would have adjusted my toppings instead of thinking I was getting chicken salad. Over all, the sandwich was still good & prices werent bad at all. Turkey was delicious.

Delicious sandwiches, nice small town feel, fresh ingredients!

I was super excited to try this place out but was rather disappointed. For the price, I was disappointed with the quantity and quality of the sandwich. It was super messy to eat and difficult to hold. The gravy was really salty and hard to enjoy. They also messed up my boyfriends order. Hoping this was a one-off experience but I will not be returning unfortunately.

Would recommend Evelyns to anyone. Food is awesome. Reasonable prices.

They do have delicious sandwiches however I have been 3 times and they have yet to get my order correct with toppings. The last time I went, they actually gave me 2 cups of soup with bread and 1 sandwich but I ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 bowl of soup. I wasnt going to bother taking it back but my bf insisted on calling them. I actually started eating the soup and then they asked us to bring everything back so they could get us the right order....they took the partially eaten soup back and put it aside as it was someone elses order but they didnt want to remake the hot sandwich knowing it would obviously be soggy by the time we drove back there and then back home....well even without covid, they should have just said to keep the soups as I had brought them home and everything. Hope that customer was okay with their bread having a bite out of it. Love the food but cant go back and Def dont want to after they actually wanted the food back. Gross!

My wifes favorite place, fresh made to order sandwiches, the best ingredients, when you order roast beef, you get REAL beef from a roast she cooked and sliced. Not the presliced from the grochery store deli, the same goes with the turkey. Great place!

Fantastic food and service I should have tried a long time ago

Broke our Evelyns v-card today and it was well worth it. We are still pretty new to this area and when driving by this spot, it was always after hours, and we always said we wanted to check it out. Today was our lucky day!!! We had the pleasure of meeting Evelyn who was very welcoming. As fellow local business owners, we truly appreciate this gem youve created. As we entered the shop, we were immediately drawn to the get up. All the antiques stood out and were quite fitting. The menu is appealing and we grabbed sandwiches today. Completely blown away by all of the variety of toppings that we could choose from. We are impressed that just like us, she makes everything with fresh produce, etc. This makes us happy. I also like the idea of customers filling out the order sheet themselves. Totally worth every penny and we will be back often, we know that for sure! Sandwich was delicious and I cannot wait to try more from the menu!!!

The only thing I could ever say negative about this incredible stop is the hours, and that is unfair to them since I now work out of town when they are open. This place is incredible; fresh bread from across the street, fresh ingredients, homemade soups, the list goes on. Great little sandwich spot in an unassuming location. This place is cash only, so be sure to have some on you. If not, theres an onsite ATM. There are only a couple tables to eat, so its best to take it to go. Walk in, grab a pencil and the ordering paper and create your dream sandwich. Only recommendation I have is that I wish they had pre-selected sandwich ideas for you

I bought 3 large chicken vegetable soups. I ended up giving my soups away because they were quite bland, way too peppery and noodles were put in the soup after i was told they wouldnt be.

Stopped in today for lunch, the soup of the day was borscht. As good as it looks and smells, it tastes even better. Some fresh bread on the side and it was the perfect meal for such a drab day.

Im 24 years of age and I was born and raised in Welland. For some reason I never went to Evelyns sandwich shop. Today I wandered in... hungry and looking for a delicious meal. Well thats exactly what I got and so much more! The experience was amazing! I feel like I need to make up for the 18 years ( how long the shop has been open ) and eat there a hell of alot more! It was fresh, delicious, inviting and the vibe was a very warm, welcoming feeling. 100% recommended to anyone who has yet to visit this adorable location!

So Delicious, absolutely love their fresh selections of meat and veggies , variety of cheese, the menus you fill out are so customer friendly it makes ordering your perfect combos of choices easy. Today I couldnt help but order the chicken salad, with dill pickles, lettuce , mozzarella and cheddar, with some regular mustard, all on a fresh Calabrese bun , so yummy, I got a regular and Im stuffed, the quality of food is just as good as the awesome staff, makes going there enjoyable each time. Check it out! You wont be disappointed.

Hey everyone, out for a short drive and needed some fuel for both the car and family (not in that order) so stopped into this great clean place in Welland. Some serious sandwiches in here that were not only sooo Fresh but super tasty with any add on you want. Although not a big sandwich chap, must say that those sandwiches could change me over. Try out the Garlic Noodle soup too and the hefty roast turkey sandwich - Two Winners in my book Oh yes, did also get some gas...almost forgot after such a memorable meal..... GO RAPS!!!!!

Amazing service! Was greeted warmly the minute I entered the store being a first timer in the store I was explained how the ordering system worked. After I had placed my order I was offered to take a seat and that they would bring my order to me. The food was amazing! I ordered a Pastrami sandwich (regular size) with a coke. I managed to finish the portion but barely! Price wise you will be hard pressed to find this quality sandwich and service anywhere else in the area!

The sandwich was amazing. The in store roasted turkey and the thick Vienna bread was just moist enough to contain the enormous stack of fillings. My only real regret was my own choice failure. Instead of the sub sauce, I should have gone with mayo.

A really quaint, unique setting. Barely any seating, but its a fantastic place to hit up for a quick-ish lunch. If theyre not too busy, the service is fast, and its always friendly. Great value in my opinion, especially from such a little place.

Evelyns is wonderful. Another great local business to support. The quality and care that goes into each sandwich is impeccable. You get a card with meats breads and toppings and you check off what you would like. Fun stuff! Its pretty small only about two or three tables so dont expect to have a group of more than four if you want to eat in. I feel sad if you have not experienced Evelyns

Grabbed my first sandwich from here today and it was so good, only thing mildly inconvenient is they only take cash but thats really the only thing that could be improved.

This place is absolutely amazing, it has a home feel as you walk in. There is a card which you fill out with bread, toppings meats ect and you have tons of options! The sandwich is pure bliss, really turkey and meats, fresh vegetables and the best bread. The only down side is they only take cash but thats how she keeps her prices so low! So no complaints there a large sandwich with tax under $10 you cant beat that.

Went in this past week. Ordered 2 sandwiches. Places is small, homely. Ordering system is pretty basic. Selection is small, however its more about getting to the point then taking an hour to decide. Some of the meat is produced in house which is nice !! Prices arent to shabby for food that isnt deep fried etc. Many healthy options for your meal. You eat first, pay later. I will be going back, staff are friendly, food is good.!! EDIT. Also...bring CASH!

Went there Friday for the first time. Im gluten free so l knew it might not be possible to get anything. Once l talked to the staff they assured me that they could make me any sandwich with lettuce like a wrap if l wanted or a salad. I chose a julian salad with their home made balsamic dressing. It was delicious l highly recommend this establishment. I will be going back for sure.

Large sandwich is a real meal, I found the regular size plenty for lunch. Lots of choices very fresh and delicious. They dont seem to take debit but have a ATM in the establishment , but it will ding you for a 2 dollar service fee, so add that to the price of your meal and it is fairly expensive. So make sure you have cash in hand.
