What a sweet girl and great reccomdations she had to offer thank you beautiful blonde Liz me and my husband will be back again!! Try the wontons!

So the wings are honestly pretty good but only if you like them with a side of racism. I was initially there for takeout but told the server right away I will just sit in instead. I was immediately met with disrespectful attitude. For the whole time I sat there waiting no one acknowledged me or came by to ask if I wanted to get something to drink or if I wanted to order anything else. When the food came she served them on my table in takeout boxes eventhough she knew I was eating in. I decided to just check out. The only reason I was there is because I serve this community as a healthcare worker. I am happy to leave here if presence of people who look like me are so unwanted here , but its not fair to the rest of the community members who appreciate the care and need it desperately. Even if you guys or your families come to me I will still treat you all with respect and same level of dignified care regardless of your racist attitudes. But that doesnt mean it doesnt hurt to be disrespected and treated this way anyway solely because of the color of your skin because there was no reason other than racial motivation for me to have been treated this way. Also give your server sue and the rest of your staff some training on discrimination or basic manners. Honestly so disappointed to see this still in 2024 like literally it is so stupid.

Will start by saying, my family has come to hanks many times over the past 3 years and usually it is a decent experience and we like the pizza deals. Today we had a different experience and will not be going back. The servers were unfriendly at our arrival, didnt come to our table and my husband had to go inside to order. It took over an hour from ordering to get our pizza and wings. The hornets were bad outside which was fine, but one went for a swim in my wine and I asked for a new glass. They charged us for the new glass of wine. I complained about this because they are not controlling the hornets in any way and usually when this happens, its expected that a restaurant replace the glass complimentary. I questioned the rude waitress and she said, wed be out of business if we replaced every glass of wine that has hornets lmao... We will not be back. Slow service, rude staff and out of control pests .

We came to Hanks on a friends recco - so glad we did. The patio was amazing! Awesome vibes and the servers were super friendly - Nicole (sp?) had us in stitches . The Bluetooth speaker outside is a nice touch.

Their poutine and caesar salad are big enough for 2 small eaters to share and even have enough to take home 1 meal. Have never been disappointed. Only 4 stars for atmosphere because of noise but if theyre not busy they will turn it down if you ask. Food

As I ve come get to know this amazing staff, the inherent difficulties in providing exceptionally great service to everyone is very difficult. As some customers cannot be pleased no matter what this great team can do. I ve seen first hand, the rude customers that they have to deal with. This hospitality industry is not easy. However, these girls take the insults and rudeness in stride. I want to take the time to name a few that have went above and beyond. Dallas, Lisa, Nicole, Trinity, Nat and T. However, my personal favourite for her effort to make sure my food is hot and my drinks are cold. Caitlin is my fav.

I love coming here always. All the staff makes it what it is. Specifically Caitlin, Nicole and Dallas. I love the wings on the menu but if it wasn t for the awesome staff they wouldn t be so far above the rest! Love them all!

Went in a few days ago and once again did not disappoint to the 4 of us. We ordered a chicken parm sandwich, poutine, bacon and cheese hot dog and side Caesar with chicken and it was all great. Will keep going back. Food : 5/5

Have grown up coming here for wings. I would even come as a child myself. I brought my kids for wings at 8pm and was told kids are not allowed past 9. Our food didn t come until 845 and it felt we were hurried. Not valued and was given the impression we need to leave. Wait staff was rude. Not a single smile. Minimal interaction and service. Extremely disappointed. If you re serving meals it should be open to families. And if you aren t open for children to eat meals it should be an official bar that ID s people at the door. Very confused as a paying customer that wanted to enjoy the patio for wings with my family. If this is inaccurate your staff need serious redirection, training and customer service skills are lacking. Too bad as we would have come much more often. You ve lost a costumer and my experience to my friends of similar age, all with children will know we aren t welcome.

Handlebar hanks apparently hasnt updated their website price in a while. Wings are suppose to be .99 but we were charged 1.09 for skiinny wing and were told the online price hasnt been updated. They should honour their advertised price.

I read some of the negative reviews and had to post a positive one. My family and I love Hanks and go all the time. Its basically one of two places we go when we want to go out for dinner, but honestly, its more like the place we go 9 times out of 10. The biggest reasons are the food and the value. The prices are great. Its really great to have a place we can go our with our family and afford it. We always get pizza and wings, so I cant really speak to the other food. We have very rarely gotten nachos and they were good too. The pizza is my husbands favourite. I LOVE the wings. They are large, cooked just right, and are saucey like I like them. My husband and kids make fun of me because I am very picky about wings. Most places I dont love them, but at Hanks they are great. I also really like how any server going by can serve you. We never have to wait long for drink refills or anything we need. All the servers are friendly and attentive. I dont go at 1am, so I cant really comment on the crowd and atmosphere then, but if you go at lunchtime or dinner time (6-7pm ish), its been a good place to bring kids. Yes, its a bar but there are people of all ages and we have seen other kids there at those times. There is a kids menu, so we must not be the only ones bringing our kids to Hanks! Overall, there is a reason why we keep going back again and again. They expand the patio in the summer. I like the new little seating area and the colourful tablecloths. We will be by for drinks and wings on the patio soon!

Amazing wings and waitresses, my only complaint the draft beer recently has been kinda stale. I have tried 3 different flavors and they all taste the same unfortunately and the flavour tastes like beer that has been sitting out.

Oh my goodness! First time here and service and food was 10/10. Our server was Brittany but 2 other ladies also stopped to ask about drink refills and take empty dishes from table at different times. All 3 ladies were attentive, friendly and genuinely awesome people. Kudos to this bar for having these ladies. It was myself, hubby and 4 yr old daughter and we all absolutely loved our food. Thank you Brittany for making our dinner outing a great one!

This is the worst bar I have ever been to. I went here for my birthday and it was a big mistakes. The waitresses were rude and the owners were even worse. Went on a Thursday for wings, $1 wings and cold beer. What can be better. The wings were probably yhe beat I have had this side of the border in ages. I would put them up against many places in Buffalo. Service was good and it is a true roadhouse setting. Looking forward to a return visit on a Thursday to see if they can be consistently awesome. Followup, I had a second fantastic experience this evening, this places wings are legit.

Worst and rude sever. After my order was wrong when i picked it up they resent my order and it was wrong again. I called and the oerdin answering the phone was rude and did not listen telling me to use items from my fridge to fix the problem. As the father of a handicapped child i will never return and urge all to avoid this place if thats how they treat their customers.

If by chance you find yourself in Welland On, this is a great place to go for a beer and play pool, nothing more. The food is limited, without much quality, except for the wings. This place is where Canadian country, rock and punk meet if you want to see what Canada looks like outside of the famous Toronto this is the place!

Food is always very good and you get plenty. A bit pricey, but so is everything these days. Wings are awesome.

The fish n chips was fantastic! Huge portion, perfectly cooked fries, homemade tartar sauce. All round really great. And you can really taste the beer in the batter. I like beer. Beer is good.

We often order and go pick up food. The past year everytime I order for pickup, its wrong. Ive had to check everything each time, and everything its wrong. I most recently went to pick up and had to wait 15 minutes longer than they told me. Then the entire order wasnt even what I ordered. So I waited 30-40 minutes more. I was offered a free appetizer NEXT time I ordered or went in. Never going to get it. The staff is lacking organization or something. It never used to be this way. Disappointing.

The French fries were barely cooked and you could tell as soon as you even opened them ate maybe 7 fries and threw them out. The chicken wings could have been cooked longer too. Not crispy at all, just that soft slimey kind of wing. The only good thing about them was they were cooked enough to eat and the sauce was actually good.

Wellands staple midrange bar. Shouldnt be disappointed but dont expect to be blown away. Give them a try! Been here maybe two times for a drink in the past, but have never eaten here. Went in for lunch today and was really impressed with how great their homemade soup was. It was Italian Sausage and Spinach soup that I had as a side to my meatloaf that was on special today, Noone around here makes a soup as flavourful and hearty. Our server Sarah was friendly, attentive and funny. I will be back soon.

Our server was very pleasant and efficient. We were hoping to try the soup but it wasn t quite ready. The crispy chicken wrap was delicious and very filling.

Only chill place at night in the college area, valuable foods and reasonable price This is a pub that people who attend Niagara College must visit at least once. Theres nothing special about it, but there arent many places around that are open late, so its like a sweet treat in a drought. The food isnt bad, and there are too many people on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so you have to be prepared before visiting. lol

Great portions. We needed take out containers for our food even though we shared two appetizers among the four of us they were just that filling. The prices were a little higher than I expected for sports bar food but the food was delicious.

Food is good, comes out at a decent rate. Prices are a bit high and music a bit loud. They have no idea what suicide sauce is and will just give you tabasco. Weve stopped ordering wings from them after several attempts to get a decently hot sauce all met with failure. Hot, extra hot, and suicide sauce is all just tabasco.

Its decent! The food is pretty good. They seem to specialize in pizza and wings. I enjoyed the poutine. They have purple lizard here too! They also had the nights UFC fight playing. Im not a fan of the club theme theyre trying to push on weekends, its not that kind of place. Its a bit smaller, so theres not a lot of space. Plus its a very popular place so it may be difficult to get a table on weekends. I enjoyed my Saturday night here!

Food was pretty good. Our server was very friendly and helped us out a lot. I wasn t the biggest fan of their bruschetta, but their wings were good. Somewhat cheap too. $1 per wing. They had the right amount sauce and almost the right amount of meat.

I arrived with a group of 14 people, despite having room inside the bar, they didnt let us in, the security guard was extremely hostile (a tall, bald, white man) treated us badly, the waitress came to serve us outside, it was kind and polite. I came in a group of Brazilians to Canada to study, get to know the culture and I saw a lot of good things, a lot of good people. But I was treated with prejudice and misogyny by the security guard, a terrible experience.

Good food. Service is usually good, but can get spotty when busy. Music, which was not to my taste, was too loud.

The wings are the best I have had in a while. The service was very slow and forgetful it was not over busy but the servers seemed more in to laughing and talking to one another then making sure we had everything we need to have a nice meal. Parking: A good amount of parking in the parking lot just steps to the front door.

I went with my husband and 7 year old grandson for lunch and was very disappointed with the service. It was not very busy but took a very long time for someone to come to our table. One server finally came and took our drink order. Then brought the food menus. I had to ask a second server if they had a kids menu then she brought the kids activity menu with crayons. I guess the first server did not notice the 7 year old. After a lengthy amount of time, server #2!came and took our order. 15 minutes later and after many games of I spy we got our Ok meal. Even our grandson questioned the amount of time it took for our meal. The bacon oh the BLT was undercooked, the Caesar salad had too much dressing and the wings were ok. I do say they are very generous with the fries. Once we were done with our meals we waited much too long for some one to come with the bill so we went inside to pay only to find an empty restaurant This is not our first time at this restaurant but definitely a first to be very disappointed. Why did this happen? Not sure. There were enough servers. Is this where the tip/ no tip comes in?

I came to hanks for chicken wings and early in the morning I began having diarrhea and vomiting. I would not recommend eating here, the waitresses do not perform hand hygiene and I m not sure what is going on in the kitchen but I got very sick from this place. Really upsetting. Do better Hanks.

The best pizza in the Niagara region. Order the XL pizza with the works and and for a mere $24 you will receive a fully loaded, massive 12 slice with the best crust/ dough around! Great for weeknights when cooking just isn t an option and a pizza solves the problem. Delicious and fantastic service as well!

Its a no-frills place. Might be good place to go with your team after a game. Majority of patrons are men and its rather noisy, at least it is on the weekends. I didnt eat but it looked like a lot of people were eating pizza and wings.

Went a few years ago and had a fairly decent time. Atmosphere was lively and service was good. Now it s absolute garbage. Went twice. Initially wait time completely ridiculous, left after 15+ min of not being seated or helped. Second time, waitress rude as hell. Service was worse than what you d expect. Secondly the portion received of 1lb of wings was grossly under what it should have been. When complained met with attitude and no compensation provided. Definitely will not be returning. Guess they pride themselves on serving a college crowd that has no options of where to go - so standards seem to have been thrown out completely. Also seems like Health and Safety wise, they have infractions ever second inspection - that are corrected during their inspections because they are blatantly pointed out - so not very pleased at all.

High patrol of police service in area. Dont drink and drive they are waiting. I think there may be a rat in the house people keep getting pinched.

Imagine tipping 20$ and being told wow you only tipped 20$ i even gave the one waitress a 5$ bill that was not even serving us because she was hustling. That was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I almost can t believe it happened.

My husbands hotdog was burnt and served on a submarine sandwich roll with what looked like an entire onion chopped up. This was my first time at Handlebar Hanks even though I have lived here my whole life. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Food was good, service was excellent, and prices were very reasonable.

My boyfriend and I came here yesterday for the first time, had some hot pepper poppers (I think their called) and a Buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza had so much cheese, the crust wasnt cooked all the way and extremely greasy we tried to give it a shot but we couldnt hold the slice of pizza because it was so flimsy. The waitress understood that we did not like the food and did not charge us for the pizza she apologized and asked if we wanted somthing else but it just ruined out appetite..

Attended at lunch time (1pm) today and had pre-ordered ahead of time given our 1 hour lunch break. When we arrived the server advised she had not submitted our order yet, we agreed to wait... 40 minutes later they brought out 2 of the 3 orders... another 10 minutes for the final order (I believe they had dropped it on their way out from the kitchen based on the actions of the waitress and cook I saw and had to remake it). We asked for to-go boxes and our bills as soon as the food was brought out. Not once did they apologize or explain the situation, just frequent looks to our table and smirks from the waitress. On top of it all, once able to eat back at work the pizza was only okay and the wings were terrible, very small and the sauce lacking flavour and was very runny... would not order here again.

Seat yourself, make yourself at home, grab a pitcher (or two), order some tasty wings while eyeballing everyone else ordering a thick crust pizza on a platter and remember to bring a few loonies for a game of eight ball.

It was a convenient location for our group to meet. Price seemed a bit high, but thats chicken and inflation I will be keeping Handlebar Hanks in mind for next time Im in Welland Highly recommended
