Serving up authentic Mexican cuisine to beautiful Prince Edward County since Spring 2019. NO RESERVATIONS. Please note we are walk in only. We do have a wait list available on our website that you may join remotely.
Delicious tacos and tostadas 👌 the atmosphere was perfect for a lunch spot as well, with an almost coastal vibe. The ingredients were all very fresh! I would definitely come back.
Spent a day in Prince Edward county and had a recommendation to try this Mexican restaurant. It looks like a very trendy restaurant friendly staff great design. Menu is small - slightly pricey for the area. We bought corn - was delicious. Tacos - were a bit underwhelming and watery. We tried pork, beef, chicken and fish. Presentation was great. Was a bit odd they bring out one taco at a time. But in a way it’s good. Meat is loaded on the taco. The tortilla is a bit dry but they put an onion cilantro mixture on top that is so watery it makes the tacos soggy in minutes and messy. They provided hot sauces that were most sweet and Asian rather than Mexican. We bought one glass of wine which was $20? The bathroom was beautiful. Staff were friendly. As it was our first time going we did enjoy it but honestly it’s a bit over priced for what it’s worth. Two people our bill was $97 with tip and tax.
We had a bunch of small plates and each person had two tacos. The fish taco has the best flavor out all of the other tacos. It’s a whole piece of battered fish, but mine had a small piece of fish bone it it. Gotta be careful when eating. The beef taco only had a salty taste, it’s missing other flavors, it had lots of liquid which is very thin, it would be better if the broth could be incorporated with some other sauce to thicken up and drizzle over top. The service was fast and attentive. Price is average.
Unexpectedly delicious !! We have been lucky to have a table for 2 without reservations ! We recommend booking the table in advance. Very good atmosphere and simple, with great decorations. I really like it ! Service was great, fast and discrete. The cocktails were tasty and well balanced ! Food (fish tacos is outstanding and meatballs) were delicious ! Very good portions, great flavors, and every cent worth it ! I recommend this place !!
On the way back from Sandbanks , we searched for the nearest restaurant to us. This Mexican restaurant in town made us very satisfied! The combination of shrimp and white fish is very refreshing and delicious, which is impressive! Of course, the other pork and fried fish tacos are also great! The service and environment are both good! The cocktails were incredible and well crafted. What stood out for us, was the incredible flavour. Awesome place. If you are in Wellington, it's a must to check out.
Great place, comfortable and fun. Amazing staff, all hands on deck, including the manager, when they got slammed. The crispy fish tacos are fantastic and plentiful. The spicy shrimp taco had a perfect heat 🌶 and the pork was perfect. I saw a lot of other food there that I'll be back for!
The food and atmosphere here are excellent. Their Octopus and Chorizo tostada was one of my favourite bites of the whole weekend so definitely worth ordering! They also have fantastic margaritas! They don't take reservations so would recommend adding yourself to the waitlist 40-45 mins before you want to dine, but moves pretty quick if it's a smaller party.
We came here for lunch and everything was great. Their new space is quite big both inside and out. The atmosphere is really lovely. The food is delicious and most of the menu is gluten free with many dairy free options. The plates are tapas style, so be prepared to order two to three dishes for sure. The service was attentive and friendly. We will look forward to coming back.
I am vegan, I was so impressed with the options that they had for me here. Including vegan cheese, which was phenomenal! AND I could have a dessert here! Staff was very precise on asking questions about dietary restrictions. I have walked by here in the summer and it is always crazy busy. Would definitely make a reservation in the summer on a weekend. Great variety of food. The Rice Pudding is better than my mother s! The orange zest in it, stealing this idea for mine!
This was a terrible restaurant, the food was cold and I would strongly recommend to avoid. Save your money from paying for the overpriced and ridiculous food. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. If there were negative stars would have just done that. Terrible.
Order the tuna tostada, octopus chorizo tostada and fish taco. Thats all I have to say.
Wellington, Ontario, population about 30,000, boasts one of the worlds great Mexican restaurants. You dont believe me? Try it!
Great place for lunch. Server was pleasant and informative. Food was surprisingly good.
I came here with my husband and toddler in August 2023 and we still think about it often. The shrimp tacos were amazing especially with the chili oil. I have tried to find many other taco places to compare this to, and none have lived up to it. One day we will revisit Wellington just for these tacos.
Overpriced and small portions. Not authentic cuisine. You know those overpriced restaurants in tourist areas that serve mediocre food? This is one of those. The description of small plate menu should have been a bigger warning. The tacos were small and expensive at $8. I could have eaten a dozen. One of the members of our party believes that the chicken (chicken sauce? filling?) made them sick.
Awesome spot for Mexican food. Super tasty. Also the vast majority of the menu is gluten free and they use a separate fryer for all things non gluten. 10/10 would recommend. Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free options (over 10)
Excellent food and atmosphere. We ordered a bunch of small plates and really enjoyed our dinner. Great service Food
Great place, especially if youre GFree Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free Food : 5/5 |
La Condesa is our favourite! We dine in, we take out, we send every person that visits to try it, and we return over and over. We live between Toronto and Rednersville, and there is never a time we come to The County without dining on La Condesa food! The very best.
Im no connoisseur of Mexican food but that served here was delicious. Service was excellent. Decor is relatively simple but comfortable that sits well in a small town.
Always great service, food is delicious, and the summer and winter sangria is just the best. Would definitely recommend this restaurant....
Ordered takeout and the tacos are incredible - the fish was our favorite
If you re visiting Prince Edward County dine in at this restaurant.
Better than my usual Toronto spot
Enjoyed some great tacos on their outdoor patio. Everything was delicious and perfect for sharing!
Great friendly service. All pressed tostadas made to order fresh. The chorizo and octopus tostada was my favourite. Probably the best tres leche cake to date. The shaved parmesan on top balanced out the sweetness
I cannot say enough or explain sufficiently the quality and overall ambiance. I lived in Mexico for 6 months and the food here is so good. I particularly recommend the fish taco. Food
If you are any where near Prince Edward County this is a must do. A rare combination of amazing service, excellent food in a delightful setting. We chose to sit at the bar and what a wise decision as we got to enjoy great conversation and excellent suggestions by Nikki and Kierstyn. Nikki also provided helpful insights on favorite wineries and places to visit in the area. Super excellent is not good enough to describe their service - which made our evening very special. Each tapa was superb. Hard to pick a favorite but we would order the octopus-chorizo tostadas, street style corn and crispy fish tacos again (and again). Highly recommended..
We eat here on the 11 October. Flip looked after us and what a pleasure. Friendly with a smile. No rushing. Explained a few favorite dishes. The tuna tostada and ceviche are fresh and outstanding. Braised beef taco and crispy fish taco. Excellent. Great atmosphere. Menue is close to a tapas. Hats off to kitchen. Great presentation. Cold was cold and hot was hot. See you again.
Great ambience! Great service! The staff looked happy and the energy was positive! We got referred by Tom the owner of Hadovka inn just down the road. In his words They have one of the best Mexican food he s tasted . He wasn t wrong!
The owner is the sweetest most genuine woman I have ever met. Food is authentic and delicious we will have all of our birthday dinners here on the future
Outrageously overpriced. The food is nothing special, our tacos lacked flavor and service was super slow. We paid $12 for 2oz of a mediocre tortilla soup, which is insane coming from New York. Would not recommend.
Excellent experience! Impeccable service, diverse menu. Everything was perfect!
10/10 food was filling and delicious!! Very fresh and cozy :) Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Food : 5/5 |
The fish taco and the octopus tostado with chorizo are something else
Stumbled upon this small Mexican restaurant in town, service was excellent and wait for food was very quick. Fish and shrimp tacos were delicious, unfortunately the beef tacos were very dry and not good, waiter quickly acknowledged the issue and took it off our bill. I ll give them a second chance.
Service was quick and the food was amazing! I like that the portions are smaller so you can try a few different things because it would have been too hard to choose just one. Margaritas were delicious but also strong! Churros were the best Ive ever had. They have also recently moved locations I believe - the old location still has the sign over the door so if you walk into a place serving burgers and fish and chips like we did, you are in the wrong place but are just up the street from where you need to be.
Tacos were excellent, I preferred the pork and the wife the fish tacos. Mexican corn was incredible and service was excellent
Food was excellent, margarita too! Good portions for lunchtime. Also, i d say the menu is 95% gluten free including their Churros! Dietary restrictions: Most meals are gluten free
Cute little place with very tasty food. Servixe is excellent. Would just change the taco masa because it s a bit too thick and has the thickness of a crepe
The Tuna Tostadas alone is worth a visit ! Everyone should go when in the area.
The food here is excellent if you are able to get any kind of service. Fight night my wife and I ate here we sat at the bar and had to wait a good 15 minutes for service. The food came out quickly and we excellent. The second night we tried to eat here we were turned down at the door 40 minutes prior to close because they ran out of food. They also turned down our request to have a drink. Poor quality hospitality and we will not be returning.
The food was delicious - dont get me wrong; each taco was carefully crafted it seemed by the chef as each bite was delicious, but it wasnt substantial at all. I ended up spending $30 for myself and left hungry. The portion sizes are very small, and there is no indication anywhere (no photos in menu) of what youre getting. Go elsewhere if you want to be properly fed for a reasonable price.
I just absolutely loved it! Good food, great service and a nice place
Such an amazing place here in Wellington Prince Edward County with amazing staff that are super attentive and polite. The food was out of this world. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Fantastic food and drinks ! Great service as well! Definitely coming back!
Totally recommend this place! The street style corn was unbelievable, so much flavour. The tacos are a bit small but delicious. The prices are not too expensive for the quality of food they have. Totally worth it..!
This meal slaps, would eat again fam.
The churros are gluten-free!! Do I need to say more?! This place is so nice and all of the food we had was fantastic. I highly recommend the Mexican street corn, it will blow your mind. Im from Ottawa and knowing this place exists makes the drive worth it for the churros alone. If you are gluten-free, this place is your heaven!
Fantastic go-to place in Wellington. The fish tacos in particular (and the street corn) are amazing.
Always tasty!
Amazing tacos! As a Latin American guy I can say this is what you need to expect from real Mexican food! Would 100% recommend the tacos over the tostadas though.
Great authentic Mexican. Very good. Food
Enjoyed a super quick dinner at La Condesa. The service was great and the food was delicious!
Delightful. Crispy fish tacos were amazing.
Loved the food here....tapas style. Our server was very helpful and personable. We loved the Mexican street corn.
Very delicious Mexican food!
Good food, great service and ambience.
Best restaurant in area, food is amazing, generous and soooo tasty
Fish tacos and lemonade, perfect pairing a terrific atmosphere
The atmosphere is very nice service is very good the food Sorry, Im not so good. Its either really, really hot or really blend Of the tacos that we had
Vegetarian options: Great veggie taco and torsado Food
Love love love the ceviche tacos, so fresh. Everything are amazing
Amazing food and drinks. Unique atmosphere. Great service. Would absolutely recommend and return
Fantastic! Fast service, friendly staff, delicious food!
Love it. A real gem. Highly recommend the fish tacos.
This had to be some of the best Mexican inspired food we have ever had the battered fish tacos, meatballs were some of the top dishes however everything was unreal.
From first glance to last churro, this place is fantastic! We go there for date nights or afternoon tacos and margs Friendly and helpful staff help navigate the small plates menu while often dealing with a packed restaurant! It s a popular spot! The food always packs a delicious punch with two tacos often being enough to elicit a happy food dance The Meatballs (I d drink that sauce!) as well as the Tijuana Mule are my go to. Definitely worth a stop if you re in Wellington PEC
I went to eat here after reading positive reviews but I was disappointed because from the photos you cant understand the true size of the tapas! They are served in smaller plates than the dessert ones! To fill yourself up you need to order at least 4 dishes. Parking: places in a free car park adjacent to the venue and on the street for a fee on an hourly basis
This is by far the worse restaurant in Prince Edward County. I strongly suggest everyone to avoid this restaurant. Ownership and staff are terrible. Food is terrible. Save your money and go to any other restaurant. If this website gave an option to give negative stars I would have done that. DO NOT GO! WORSE RESTAURANT IN PEC.
Love the old and the new location. Whenever we have friends visiting or celebration of some sort we always choose La Condesa!
Really very good. All the dishes were well prepared. And they have non alcoholic Corona!
Stopped by for lunch, staff were great, atmosphere was perfect. I had a cocktail, tuna tostada and fish taco. Everything was delicious.
Too noisy
My partner and I stopped in here late Sunday evening and days later I am still dreaming about their street corn! It was a highlight of our trip and I cant wait to come back to taste everything else on their menu. The staff were also very sweet to us - we highly recommend La Condesa for anyone traveling through PEC.
You must try the crispy fish tacos.
Food is excellent and portions are generous, plus lovely staff. Highly recommend!
The atmosphere was nice and the service was decent. The tacos we tried (chicken, beef, pork) weren t great, but I enjoyed the street corn and octopus tostada. I had the Zona Rosa spicy margarita and it was really good. Would recommend this place for the good vibes in the area but don t expect out of this world food.
The most delicious Mexican food I have ever had! Love this fried fish taco so much. The roasted corn is also really imported! And they also have great margarita, too
Really yummy vegan options!!! Definitely get the corn!
food is amazing, good recommendation from the server. The street corn was delicious and the homemade corn tacos were particularly good. A bit too loud inside.
Octopus toasted chorizo was so yummers
Fast service, food is the best. Octopus and fish are amazing. Best place in town. Children loved their plate (in picture)
Best restaurant in the area . Service food margaritas everything was delicious and on point
Excellent food that was quickly served. Flights of tequila were tasty
Don t come here if you re hungry. We ordered plates instead of individual tacos thinking (plate) would come with sides but instead paid 70$ for 5 shrimps , 1 handsisized chip with avocado on it and 1 taco with chorizo and octopus. Tasty but we left hungry and ate again once we left. We sat on the terasse so flys were annoying. I d say it s a good place if you want a drink and a snack.
La Condessa never disappoints with the food! It is absolutely delicious, fresh and unparalleled! Margaritas hit every time as well. Highly recommend!
An excellent take on Mexican cuisine with county flair and high quality ingredients.
Cool aesthetic and great Mexican eats. One of the more upscale places in Wellington
Fantastic. Its always busy, we got in just in time. Server was on point, hostess super friendly. We had an odd situation where someone asked to share our table since it was so busy ( we would have been fine with it and said so) the hostess apologized because they felt so bad that a guest asked this, we honestly where fine, but she went out of her way to let us know she felt bad. For a small town restaurant felt more like we where downtown Toronto they were so good. The food is outsat8, hand made and delish. Definitely will be back.
We were served tacos with nothing in them for the kids. We had to ask for vegetables. Mediocre food. Disastrous value for money.
The food was delicious and the churros were to die for. Dont skip dessert here!
Great spot! Was able to bring my pup on the patio. Friendly service and yummy food. Only negative was the churros were very disappointing, but the tres leches cake more than made up for it.
We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed delicious, authentic Mexican tacos. They are generous in size and flavourful. We began with an Asian inspired tuna tostada. The service was friendly and prompt. Nicely designed and easy going vibe. Only one tiny thing: we asked for extra lime and there was a charge. It should just be included, IMO. Otherwise, great Mexican restaurant in Wellington!
Truely great Mexican food, very tasty & seculant. Flip our server was very warm & welcoming. Clean bathrooms, very cozy atmosphere with good background music
Great food well served!
Excellent food. The 5 dishes we tried were delicious. The tuna was particularly delicious. The service was friendly, but very rushed. We arrived at 7:45 p.m. and left at 9 p.m. We even had to tell the waitress to slow down. Without this little downside, this restaurant deserves to be known
Everything about this place was great. Its a tapas style place and the plates are small. Three of us went and we ordered a few different things to split. Highly recommend the Street Corn, and the Potato Flautas. Our server was awesome! So nice and checked on us often, refilling our water and making sure we were good. We will definitely be visiting again.
Came here for a quick bite after going to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Wanted something light and this spot delivered! Tacos were packed with flavour but easy on the stomach. Great ambience and staff as well. Definitely making the stop here again for a full meal!
Excellent food and cocktails.
Fantastic restaurant with friendly staff who well take care of us. Food was delicious and well presented. Don t be fooled size of dishes, they ware so filling and rich with flavours.
In my humble opinion, the best restaurant in Wellington and Prince Edward County. We attended the original location, and recently made our way to the new spot. We were blown away by how beautiful the new restaurant is, with more space and lovely design. The food quality is supreme and unmatched. Were so thankful to have attended for a great lunch. Cant wait to come back.
Had a delicious lunch. The place wasnt busy because I went earlier in the week. Im sure its busy over the weekend during the high season. Everything on the menu is gluten-free, except for two items. They do have vegetarian/vegan options. Enjoy!
What a cool spot! Amazing food, my husband loved his octopus tostada. Really wanted to eat more things than we got. Oh, the dulce de leche cake was divine. Very nicely decorated inside as well. Really wish we did not have breakfast that morning as we came here for lunch based on recommendations.
Excellent service. Good meal (tapas). I dont recommend the tres leches cake though.
Restaurant was amazing, delicious food, great service, cool atmosphere.
Amazing!! The food was absolutely delicious. The braised beef biscuit is to die for. The ceviche, surprisingly delicious. The tuna was also some of the freshest we ve ever had! But the tres leche cake wow!!!!! Fantastic. Service was good, friendly and prompt. Would highly recommend!
We had the best dinner here after a lovely beach day. Flip was awesome. She was so personable and catered to our little asks (with a 5 year) sooo well. Thank you for making our experience so lovely Flip! We loved the food, the ambiance and especially the service. We ll be back the next time we re in PEC!
10/10, everything is so fresh and light. Great dining experience in Wellington.
Great food & great time. Went twice within the week we stayed there.. a great find!
The food was excellent, and sooo many vegan options <3! Service was amazing too and the staff super nice :)
Excellent meal and great service.
So so good ! All around great service and food
Omg, such good tacos, tostadas and margaritas! Great news location, fun road-side patio in downtown Wellington. Theres nothing you wont like about whats on the menu. They helped me cater to my egg and dairy allergies. The waiter (Evan) was hilarious and even reccod other places in the county to try. Thank you!! Dietary restrictions: They helped me understand what menu items could accommodate a dairy and egg allergy. Thank you!
Very nice food. Really worth stopping for a snack or a proper meal. Note not child friendly ie not flexible on removing things of tacos, Would be full 5 stars if it was not this lack of flexibility.
Love the authentic Mexican food and Margaritas!
The octopus + chorizo tostada is the best thing Ive ever had!
Talk about authentic Mexican cuisine. My friend who came with me is Mexican, and He said the food at this resro was as close to what her father makes than any other restaurant she tried. The mini tacos were rich on flavour - one having quite the spicy tang to it. If you cant handle the heat, sont let this be the first time you try it. The menu is varied and you can order as youre eating (add another taco order) since the portions are small (the tacos, I mean). Ive not found another restaurant back home that compares.
Tapas style restaurant with authentic tastes.
Went for dinner, nice cute restaurant, has patio. Foos is really good. Lo ed the tacos.Friendly ssrvice. Highly recommend. Findimg parking might be lil difficult on weekends.
Very few options (including limited vegan options), tacos take too long, extremely tiny portions for a hefty price. Decor and ambience were great.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM *came here for a late lunch on our anniversary. Oops, ate like 80% of the menu.
La Condesa has some of the tastiest food Ive ever eaten. Its one of the only restaurants Ive been to where I leave feeling incredibly happy no matter how bad my day has been. This isnt relevant to most people but as an autistic person with strong sensitivity to loud noises and bright lights which make me very uncomfortable, this restaurant is a nice, quiet environment that isnt too overwhelming to me and is one of the few restaurants I feel at ease dining at. Visiting is always a joy and I look forward to it whenever my partner and I come to the county. Its always so hard to pick what to order because everything Ive tried has been so tasty! I think my favorites are the pork taco and the tuna tostada! Vegetarian options: There are several dishes which dont have any meat.
In error i posted a review of another restaurant my apologies for the same .However La condesa was definitely a different experience for my taste buds ,no doubt the wait time to get a table was never ending .Amazi g food, amazing service with a smile .
Great service, we dined with our dogs in their patio, and stayed dry while there was a light drizzle. Jackfruit taco was really nice, just a bit spicey for me, even without the poblano/jalapeño peppers (took picture after I had folded it already, it wasn t served as pictured). My favourite was the peach chocolate mousse, vegan and delicious! Vegetarian options: Vegan options available!
Overall, its good, but its a bit expensive. Anyway, we (3 people) didnt get enough to eat, and we spent more than 100 yuan! LOL
First time visit and it was a great time. Food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, would definitely come again
Such great food!
Great Mexican restaurant with plenty of solid options. More restaurant than street style tacos, but along with the ceviche it was quite delicious. The sweet corn was tasty as well. For dessert, highly recommend the churros! Server was friendly. The weather was nice so we enjoyed sitting on the patio outside.
Really delicious experience. We stopped in for lunch before a wine tour and split the street corn (amazing) and enjoyed some tacos. Highly recommend it if you are in town
Visited here based on the high reviews during our mini-vacation to Prince Edward County (PEC) and we were sadly disappointed by the food. We ordered the ceviche, meatballs, and 3 different tacos (chicken, beef, and fish). The ceviche was excellent, right balance of flavors and very refreshing. The meatballs were overall salty and I found a piece of wood, which was apparently the dried stem of oregano. The server was apologetic and it wasn t a huge deal for me personally. The tacos fell flat for us and there was just no harmony of flavors (e.g. beef tacos were overall salty). The service was initially good. However, we were a bit annoyed to be asked to move for electrical work that needed to be done near the end of our meal which put a damper on things. Would have been better if they just let us finish up as we were nearly done or simply scheduling work outside of operating hours. For the quality of ingredients they use, the value was good compared to other restaurants in the area (sadly, as everything in PEC is outrageously priced). For PEC, this restaurant was okay but for Toronto standards for food and service, I d rate it a 3*.
A wonderful experience. The stuffed beef meatballs and Tinga Tostada ( not listed here) were also super yummy. We were waited on by 4 different staff, all excellent starting with Charlie, then Jennifer, Grace and Kayden. 2 recommendations. While the Margheritas were top notch (according to my husband) they would have been even better in a more traditional Margherita glass. And while Jennifer did an exceptional job as acting manager I felt the owners or full time managers should be more present at the restaurant. Overall a 5 star experience. We would love to revisit in the near future.
They have the best Tuna Tostada around.
Nice experience. However, the Paloma was tasteless. It didn t taste of grapefruit or anything else really, other than water. The Caesar salad was billed as the original recipe from Mexico but it honestly fell flat. The spicy shrimp taco was incredibly spicy, so much so that it blasted everything else away and I couldn t taste the other ingredients (and this is coming from someone who loves spicy food). All in all, it s a nice place with a good menu but everything I had didn t hit the mark.
You have to make the detour! It s fresh and delicious, ceviche our favorite! Clean and the small town is charming.
Dietary restrictions: Great for gluten free options! Most dishes without gluten, some contain egg and some dairy esp. deserts. Recommended dishes Spicy Shrimp Taco, Tuna Tostada, Ceviche Tostada
Just delicious across the board.
Amazing food we will definitely be back to eat there again
Very good food and prices and very nice staff
Delicious food and awesome staff. We will return soon. Parking: 2 hour max but that was lots of time for lunch Wheelchair accessibility: I got in. Threshold a little steep but doable with helpful staff
Anne and I tried their new location in Wellington. Nicely renovated from the old restaurant (East & Main). The food was delicious as always. Served hot and fresh. Try the house hot sauce. Not too hot, just right. Our server was very prompt and pleasant. Definitely going to be added to our Go To places. ***Note to owners: we would have preferred traditional margarita glasses. The short glasses are for rye and coke and such, not for margaritas. Parking: Parking will be tight in the busy season. After hours there is a Foodland parking lot.
Food was great, fresh & awesome service
Wonderful little place nicely decorated with great mexican fare and drinks! Tacos are extremely loaded.
Best Mexican we ve had in a long time, better than the Michael star one in Toronto. Appreciate the home made tortillas and hot sauce. Amazing cocktails and reasonably price for the quality.
Lovely authentic Mexican food. Loved the octopus
As a Mexican, this is a serious place, I started with a Octopus Tostada, it was very good. Then the tacos and flautas, omg perfect. The crispy fish taco was worth the 2 hours drive from Mississauga. Then the desserts were perfect too, each on his own way the 3 leches & mouse of chocolate. Perfect, nice service actually I just fell in love, keep the good work guys!.
Would give 10 stars if possible. Everything we had was prepared to perfection. We had multiple kinds of Tacos, Flautas , Chocolate Mousse and more, and everything we had kept making our day better. We werent able to choose the best since everything was delicious. Staff was amazing and even on a busy day, they managed all tables well. This is a gem of a place and would love to visit again soon
Strange spin on traditional Mexican Cuisine. Pickled cabbage and tangy mayo took over most of the dishes. Dessert was the only thing our group enjoyed.
Cute place, nice servers, fast service. Just an overall lovely place.
My wife and I just had the most wonderful experience at La Condesa! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was impeccably decorated. The vibe can be best described as art deco Mexican cantina, and I am OBSESSED. The potato floatas were a standout, and the variety of tacos, especially the carnitas and spicy shrimp, were delicious. I was impressed by the inclusion of a margarita with 0 proof tequila and vegetarian options on the menu, reflecting their commitment to catering to diverse preferences. I highly recommend La Condesa for its outstanding food and inclusive environment.
The food does not deserve the 4.7 rate. We have tried a few tacos and they werent tasty, lacking flavour. The tostada saved the lunch. Surprised the kitchen wasnt willing to prepare the dish without simple modifications (e.g. no aioli). Food
Nice little spot for drinks and snacks. Drinks are out of this world. Just an FYI: restaurant is pricey. We ordered 3 drinks and couple of tostadas, Paid $200 for it. Other than that , a nice spot
Great meal here, had some tacos, tortilla soup and churros, all delicious! The service was friendly and the sangria was yummy :)
Service was spot on! Drinks devine. Flavourful ortilla soup with potato flautis to start with salsa verde. Fresh tacos and the char was aromatic. Beef, seared chicken, crispy fish and spicey shrimp all were packed with flavour. Churros and Tres leches to finish off a wonderful meal. Four stars only do to pricing, but flavour will bring us back!!
It was the restaurant we had experienced all week. The food was so flavourful and the service was excellent. We have Mexican restaurants in Hamilton but none compared the LA Condesa.
It has been a long time since we had a culinary experience this magical. The attention to detail in every aspect (food, drink, design, service) is noticeably next level. The tuna and octopus blew out minds. Our favourite taco was the pork one. Thank you for such a wonderful time!
Food was great, and the service was excellent. Atmosphere wasnt really the restaurants fault, just loud neighbors
We have been her at least a dozen times! We will be back!
We have been twice, food is delicious but $16 for a 1 small margarita is too expensive. We didnt have alot of food and our bill with tips was over $80 for lunch. Staff were very good and friendly but affording the price will not allow us to go often.
Gorgeous. The tuna tostada was amazing, the shrimp taco was perfect, and the jackfruit taco was also really tasty. What a treasure of a spot for a holiday road trip :)
We went for lunch on a family day weekend and like always La condesa didn t disappoint. They had their winter menu and we loved their veggie tostada, fish tacos and chocolate mousse. We also ordered their bean and mushroom taco which was good too but would still recommend tostada over the taco.
Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. The proteins in their dishes are delicious - I had the Octopus and Chorizo Tostada, and the Camarones a la Diabla, and in both cases, they were spiced and sauced to perfection. The tostada shell, however, had been deep fried for far too long - overcooked and very oily. This was a similar case with the Potato Flautas I ordered as an addition. 3 stars. Enjoyed the meat, did not enjoy what accompanied it.
We LOVED the food, decor, drinks, vibe and staff. An all around GREAT experience. Highly recommend if you re staying in Wellington or looking for a great spot in PEC!
Fav go to spot in Wellington. We have been coming here for a couple of years now and it doesn t disappoint! I highly recommend joining the wait list online as it can be quite a wait at times. Recommend literally anything on the menu!
Loved the hand made tortillas! Delicious
Tuna tostada was my favorite! Love the atmosphere- beautiful floors, fun bar space and tastefully colorful overall. Food and service was on point. If I find myself in this part of the world again I would happily return. Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Great gluten and dairy free options!
Great spot for a bite if youre exploring the county. We went there while on our anniversary and really enjoyed the chill vibes of the place.
Amazing food !! Ceviche, cochinita, crispy fish Service was extraordinary. Food
We had tacos and they were delicious: Fish Tacos - 4/5 Chicken Tacos - 4/5 Shrimp Tacos - 4/5 I wish Fish Tacos also had guacamole or avocado on it. Maybe a bit lime on the side would have been awesome too. The restaurant is a bit pricey too.
Fourth time here and happy to say it was another wonderful meal. Margaritas and cocktails on point. Mezalita sour is a fav. Tostadas full of fresh seafood, kick and flavour. Tres leche cake was the perfect end to the meal. Service is consistently friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The menu is nice and simple. The food was so fresh. Not your typical Mexican style restaurant. Food
Really good food!! Must try.
Flavorful food! Very nice waitress!
Amazing service and the waiters are great
Went in for lunch today, friendly staff met and seated us immediately. We had fish, beef and pork tacos...all delicious. No problem with special requests and server even brought spicy/hot habenero oil to add to the flavor experience. A funky decor, clean and bright. Will definitely go back
Really wonderfully delicious, true mexican not like burrito places at all.
Great location with awesome food! Mezcal Margarita is a must try.
Enjoyable visit. Tasty food (tuna tostada, octopus tostada, shrimp tacos, fish tacos..) well prepared and delicious. Very pleasant service . Highly recommended.
Service and atmosphere are incredible, but the food is some of the most mediocre Mexican food Ive had in Ontario. Churros were terrible and we didnt even finish them.
Go here. Just do it. Stop searching for a food spot to soak up all that wine after a hard day of sipping the fermented grape juice. Just go here. Close to all the PEC wineries, and worth the stop. The mezcalita sour (agave balances out all the wine *wink*) is to die for and great way to start your Mexican experience. The braised beef tacos were the highlight, well seasoned and exploding with flavour. And I m usually not a taco fan. These are worth it, along with the others. To top it off, the Tres Leches found its way into my heart, and mouth. Just a lovely way to top off our day in this top notch Mexican themed cozy spot. Just go!
Tacos were delicious. And definitely try the Tequila flight.
One of our absolute favorites!!!
