The Lakeside Motel in Wellington

We were here in the summer for a bachelorette party and had the most amazing service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. It was so amazing that we forgot to leave a review and several months later I said to myself, I have to leave one!! Thank you :)!

Stopped for a beer and charcuterie board. Unfortunately the drink menu was very limited... (No Caesars despite them having the mix in sight). This was on September 21st, so I can understand as they are likely out of season.

We are local and don t stay at the motel but love the patio! Food & cocktails are always fantastic

I stayed at the Lakeside Motel in August. The location was breathtaking, the room is quite small especially bathroom. The doors doesn t closed properly. When we checked in they told us the room was all settled and they would only need a credit card for security deposit. That s normal. Then a month almost 2 months later, they contacted me to say they never took the payment. Very strange system.

Nothing short of spectacular!!! The amenities, the room and who can forget the view from the ten room. Wow!! Friendly and courteous staff. Would highly recommend a stay here when in the county Also for EV owners, there is a Porsche charger on site for free use

We ate at the restaurant and I have to say we were shocked at the quality of food after hearing great things. Over priced and very bland but the view and vibes were great. Maybe we are foodies but nothing was impressive. Definitely need some menu changes and teach the chefs some tricks. We got the Calamari, 3 burgers which were extremely under whelming and even the truffle fries werent great. Broccoli was the best item we had. Cocktails were nice. No Local wine which was confusing considering where we were.

Yes, so many signs saying No alcohol beyond this point that you cannot carry your beer a yard. Yes, by the pool nothing but swimming and dogs is allowed. Yes entering the pool feels like crossing the boarder to North Korea and Yes there is cheap electro Music across the area - that we heard the whole day even inside our bungalow (800 CAD/night) and Yes the prices are high. BUT: You simply have to love this place. The design is so unique and consistent, the budings and amenities maintained with passion and creativity. The people are super friendly. The experiences offered (campfire, dinner or lunch) are super nice. The view is stunning and the patio extremely beautiful. Wellington is a special village with nice small restaurants.

We went there for dinner, and we loved our evening! The location and view are truly superb, and our meal was beyond our expectations! We ordered our waitress suggestions, salmon ceviche, fried calamari and tuna steak, everything was delicious!

This place is amazing, especially if you want some alone time with your partner. It looks exactly like the pictures, and the staff is super helpful and friendly. - Best place for calmness, relaxation, and best views.

Wow! Impressive

Waitress was great but unfortunately due to lcbo strike they didn t have any wines on the menu. They should be posting a list of local wines instead. The poor waitress had to keep checking and wouldn t even let us try a wine in case we didn t like it. I think she was afraid of getting in trouble. Someone wanted arugula on her burger and after checking she apologized but they couldn t accommodate. Meanwhile there were 3 huge arugula salads ordered as well! Who s running the place, the cooking staff giving us leers from the kitchen??!! Food and drinks: Food was good but kitchen staff seem difficult.

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Lakeside Motel! We loved hanging by the pool, and had a delicious meal at the outdoor patio. We will definitely be back soon for another fun filled weekend in the County!

If I could give this 0 stars I would. This motel is what it is a motel. Overpriced and lacklustre. I went there for dinner last night and it was an awful experience. As soon as it got busy the manager went to the OPEN kitchen and started yelling at the cooks. Talk about unprofessional and embarassing. The food was good but overpriced. 5* to your poor cooks that have to deal with that type of behaviour.

We enjoyed the pool and the lakeside restaurant for dinner. Great hosting, heated pool, and great drinks. Awesome staff!

Had my birthday party here and the Cabana was so perfect! We had an amazing dinner and even did smores on our own private fire pit. We love Ashley! Best bartender!

My family and I had an exceptional time at Lakeside Motel. It s not too far from Toronto. The rooms were well organized and clean. The staff were really nice and friendly. I would definitely come back again!!

This was our first time at Lakeside Motel - WOW! Cozy and modern house with private terrace and backyard. A few steps from a gorgeous pool that feels more like were on vacation down south than in Ontario. Loved the service - friendly and knowledgeable. Food was amazing! Try the salmon ceviche! Perfect spot. Will definitely be returning.

I loved everything about Lakeside Motel We stayed there with our 2 year old baby and the place is a nice balance between family and fancy. The swimming pool is magnificent with chair service. The spicy margarita is particularly good and the charcuterie platter generous. Obviously, everything is very expensive, but nothing shocking considering this type of place The room is simple, but comfortable, with minimalist decoration. The air conditioning works very well, which was appreciated in the heatwave of July. Everything was very clean. A bit like everywhere in the region, there are a lot of Quebecers, but a little less than at the beach. It seemed to us to be a place popular with Torontonians who come to spend a weekend there. The restaurant terrace is very beautiful, but a little dangerous for a young child... The wooden fences have a large empty space and overlook a course towards Lake Ontario. That being said, the view is magnificent! In other cases we would certainly have tried the restaurant, but we preferred to go elsewhere to have peace of mind Within walking distance we find Wellington city center which is pleasant. We particularly appreciated the wooden playgroud about ten minutes walk away.

Loved the vibe..for the most part. The pumping music was alot at the pool, given 11 people were there and 8 were trying to read and nap. Also the carnival paper bracelet they put on you on arrival ..hard no! Other then that nice spot. Rooms

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the lakeside motel. We arrived an hour before check in and they were able to get us into our room right away with Complimentary bubbles from one of the local vineyards! We also got a free wine tasting with our stay. They had plenty of staff who were always super attentive. The property itself is simply stunning and they have optimized every square inch with beachy elegance. Watch then sun rise or the moon dance on the water. Sit by the large pool in a comfy lounge chair with a curated cocktail, rent a cabana for the day, enjoy the restaurant with beautiful lake views or roast smores by a campfire. At first I thought PEC was the destination, but honestly it s the motel! Truly felt like a resort.

I stayed at the Lakeside Motel and it was an amazing experience. The service is 10/10 and the maintenance of the grounds doesn t go unnoticed. Everything is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is so friendly and shoutout to Meghan for going above and beyond for us. It s a great option for a weekend getaway!

We got a warm welcome during our stay here! The room was really comfortable, and the view from the terrace was breath-taking over the lake! Perfect place to relax and enjoy summer!

We went there for dinner. The place is magnificent with a view of the lake. The service was too fast, in 15 minutes we received our dishes. The burger bun was not cooked (the waitress mentioned to us that they take it from the bag and put it on the plate and never cook it). For the price, we were disappointed with the quality of the dishes and the service which was not up to par with the place.

Beautiful view. Nice breeze off the lake on a hot day. Delicious calamari, a generous olive and feta plate, with some well made beverages. Definitely worth the visit.

I called and made a deposit for a cabana and it was charged onto my credit card even though I had completed the payment in full in person now I m waiting over three weeks for my refund highly do not recommend

Have been coming here every summer with my family for the past few years and its an incredible experience every time! The restaurant is wonderful and Hailey and her entire team are phenomenal, highly recommend to everyone!

We went for dinner to the restaurant and wow! Really good service from the employees! They were all really kind and our waitress came many times to ask us if everything was okay. The view is incredible! The patio is so beautiful! The food is also really good! I really adore that place!

Horrible - one of the worst meals I ve had in a long time, matched with atrocious service. Our hopes were high as the location is lovely and initial vibes good - all downhill from there. To start with, how does a restaurant in one of Canada s premier wine regions not offer any local wines by the glass? We ordered calamari to share as a starter and weren t even half way through when our main courses were hastily shoved in front of us - and we hadn t been taking ages, our reservation was at 7.30 and this was about 15 minutes later. I could have understood if we d rocked up as the kitchen was closing but as I said this was 7.30 it was still light out. I suppose I should actually be grateful that we didn t get to finish the calamari as I ve brushed my teeth twice and still haven t gotten rid of the taste of the rancid oil it was cooked in. And don t get my started on the supposed truffle fries .frozen beefeater chips with whatever cheap truffle flavour mayo was on offer at Costco and some grated supermarket parmesan. And as eager as they were to get the food out my partner sat with an empty wine glass for a good 15 minutes before anyone asked if he d like another but by that time we were done in every sense. We had paid our bill and were on our way by 8.05pm and the coup de grace was that that bill for truly awful food and amateur service was more than the bill for a truly stunning meal with incredible service at Bocado in Picton the previous night. I don t know who is running this restaurant - but they need to be run out of town for this shambles!

Food and drinks: This is the best place in the County!! The ambience is amazing, the attention to detail by the owners is clearly reflected in the comforts that surround you, they put the customer first in every way! The food is by far the BEST!! I ve eaten here several times and have never, ever been disappointed. I ve had pretty much everything on the menu, so feel free to choose away! YOU won t be disappointed! Class in the heart of Wellington. The Lakeside Motel has raised the stock of small town Ontario in Wellington county. Nestled on the shores of the gorgeous lake. The motel matched the beauty that surrounds it. Luxurious accommodations and amenities with exemplary attention to detail. As people are the heart of a small town, the owners have brought their property, motel, and restaurant to life, pouring their magnificent style and taste down to the smallest detail. What an amazingly relaxing time we had, enjoying the atmosphere and the food. Incredible service from one end of the property to the next. Speaking of food - the restaurant could stand on its own among the best of what even Toronto has to offer. Must mention off the menu - the best calamari for miles, and that s just the beginning home away from home weekend, vacation, or just a stop for a bite - worth every second!

Exquisite . What a perfect getaway . Tried for months to get in . Rooms: The rooms are gorgeous & clean . Noteworthy details: Pool is sublime . Loved the food was fresh and delicious. Not ever inclined to write reviews but this little piece of heaven is worth it .

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Will not be visiting this place again. I came here a few weeks back and had a wonderful young female server. She was so kind and very had great customer service. I watched a manager or supervisor of some sorts yell at her in front of the entire restaurant. In what world is it appropriate to rip a worker to shreds in front of other customers? Regardless of the situation it was extremely embarrassing for the staff. The poor girl returned to the table visibly shaken up and on the verge of tears. You expect your staff to go back to doing their job after you make them feel like that? Your prices are outrageous given the inability to treat your staff like human beings. They are summer students, at one point you were there too, so why make them feel belittled and flustered in front of EVERYONE? I highly recommend NOT giving these people your time or money, and would STRONGLY suggest never allowing your children to work here.

We went there for a sunset dinner. The terrace is really great! Food wise, its expensive for what it is, but the location makes up for it!

Really disappointed by the service of this motel. Our group had a cabana booked well in advance over the July long weekend but had to cancel due to heavy rain (it was pouring all day long). After our scheduled time they called and offered it to us a couple days later - thoughtful but we were leaving the following day. I asked for our deposit refund but was refused as they claim they were able to entertain the cabanas no problem that day (we re not talking about a sprinkle of rain - it was literally sideways for hours). Their cancellation policy only allows a refund if the motel cancels due to weather which is ridiculous given we all experienced the same weather in the county . I m not disappointed with losing $150, I was disappointed with how they handled the situation. Twice the staff told me their manager would call me back but never once heard from her - nor did the manager respond to my emails. Too bad as we were excited to try out this spot but we won t be recommending it to others.

Came here for lunch and had a great server but lunch was ruined when the manager allowed a table to smoke sheesha right beside our table. Adjacent tables to this smoking table left the restaurant or had to move far away from the smoke. When we asked the server if we were allowed to smoke cigarettes then we were told it is not allowed..... but somehow letting certain cultures use sheesha is. Makes zero sense that management only caters to certain cultures at the expense of everyone else. Also the table smoking did not order food or drink, please make it make sense. Avoid these clowns at all costs!

We had a reservation for a bachelorette table and didn t get our table until almost an hour after we were supposed to. By the time we were eating the mosquitos were so bad we had to leave. And 20% auto gratuity and can t split the bill come on. Manager very unorganized but gave us free shooters for our one hour wait but still not worth the insane prices. Horrible customer service overall

Came here twice for a bachelorette, once for dinner another for the pool day. Dinner was fantastic, our service from Sam was wonderful. Food and drinks were very tasty We rented a cabana for a pool day as well and it was great. great service, great amenities, perfect place!

The lakeside view is breathtaking! The design and ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and aesthetic ! The staff are very accommodating and friendly! Food is a bit pricey but appetizing! I really love the calamari, a distinct taste that I found so tasty and amazing! Would definitely come back to try the cabanas or maybe the pool and sauna

Cool spot w a neat ambiance, a good alternative to the Drake Devonshire if they are booked up and you are looking for a similar experience but I encourage you to lower your expectations. Though similar in pricing to the Drake without the convenience & polish I m optimistic that this will be a gem with an opportunity to refine some of the more off-putting elements. Though if pressed I could mention a few other sub-par aspects that frustrated our generally very easy-to-please group the stand-out negatives are; 1) Parking seems very limited and can be challenging so give yourself a little bit of extra time to figure that out. Entrance is easy to miss from the road, yes it is that narrow nearly unmarked laneway between the black fences. We arrived in the early afternoon and it didn t seem very busy (tops 5 other tables & one cabana had patrons) but the parking was stuffed & poorly marked with hard-to-read signage. 2) Our servers were very sweet but an older brunette-ish woman in a long down cream-coloured coat & big sunglasses swooped by occasionally & would grab things off our table in a rush without acknowledging us or asking about the experience. Though we speculated she might be the owner or manager she almost came across as if another patron decided to help with bussing. We found it off-putting & bewildering especially since it didn t seem busy enough to warrant her grumpy, rushed & overall stressed demeanour. 3) The drink selections are fantastic and skillfully prepared so kudos to the bar staff! Food was good though the menu was hard to read in part because all the fonts are the same size, small & very squished together. For example, the 3 margaritas were confusing, it seemed like a flight? The caviar is written out strangely so the price looks absurdly inexpensive but that is deceptive they are talking about the portion size I think but it s unclear because prices are denoted the same way in the same size font under other items. 4) Food was good overall but watch out for the olives, whipped honey feta & pita. Olives were great and a huge portion but that was almost comical compared to a teeny tiny stainless steel dipping pot of feta like what you d get for ketchup at upscale restaurants and that portion appeard to have been levelled off (you would expect at least a small ramekin) & 4 small triangle slices of pita where you would expect at least 12. At a stretch 1/3 of the olives provided could be accompanied w feta & pita with how it was served so I hope they consider altering the portions of that dish. Hope that feedback helps improve future ppls experiences. Will give it another try on a future trip but unlikely to opt for it over the Drake Devonshire based on the experience.

Our Monday experience. Amazing view, amazing pool, the staff so nice, offered my wife an Mimosa after my wife accidentally knocked hers over. We were walkin and didnt plan to stay the night but the rooms and whole setup were so relaxing. we had to stay. We had late dinner, most places within 5 minute walk were closed. So we stuck around and had their fries and burgers. Fries were excellent. Fire pit also great experience. Very relaxed and chill.... Perfect place to cool off. Thank you again, we will definitely return in the future.

In a short summary, This place is horrible. They are desperately trying to to be a Toronto pool bar hotel. the rules and restrictions of this place completely destroy the beauty that it has to offer. First, the pool closes at 6 . How someone or a group of people that would conclude that this is a good idea? Seems absolutely ridiculous to me. Considering the sun doesnt go down until 8:30 in the summer. Also, their waiver form is completely over the top. I dont understand why would you need a double verification process to access the pool. Makes zero sense. Also, they will not allow you to leave a menu at the table for your next drink order. As they feel that the menus might get damaged. Also another ridiculous rule. This place is everything that Prince Edward county isnt. Theyre playing lame dance music bumping from the streets. Which I know the neighborhood hates. And for guest experience it comes across as very tacky. The attitude from management is absolutely disgusting. They feel completely justified with the ridiculous rules qnd restrictions. Also, my girlfriend was working on her laptop teaching English. And she was bothered for bill payment twice for bill payment while she was speaking with her client. For a single coffee. This is just bad customer service. Now. I understand the county has limited staff to offer. And finding people with casual fine dining hospitality experience is difficult. So I cant hate much with regards to that. But dont try and pretend to be something youre not. So for all of you out there that are looking for a pretentious lame stuck up environment with a bunch of rules that make zero sense. This place is definitely for you.

Excellent customer service and top-notch spot! My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and were thoroughly impressed. The attentive and helpful staff, along with the delicious food, made for a fantastic experience. The beautiful view added a very romantic touch. We will definitely be returning for an overnight stay.

A group of 20 of us had dinner there. The restaurant is on a large, open deck with a view of the water. Weather must be a challenge. It was mild and sunny when we were there. Venue and atmosphere, 5 stars. I had the Angus burger, which was very nicely done. No GF. I asked them to hold the bun, but it came with anyway. No big deal. Fries were good One of our friends had the roast corn on the cob, which came with Feta and some spice sprinkled on it. Looked delicious. Sampled the chocolate cake. Very nice. Another friend had the bowl of ice cream that could have served two or three. Bit excessive... unless you like ice cream. Our server was Maddie. 5 stats there too. She handled the large no problem.

We did a day at the motel. We spend hours in the hot tub and pool and sauna. Absolutely phenomenal place and hot tub is literally on the lake. View was amazing. Pool was nicely heated. The service provided by Meghan was absolutely fantastic 100/5 just phenomenal amazing place We will be back!! Judith and Steve

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at the The Lakeside Motel, we went there for a day pass to experience their Hot Springs experience, they had a pool set to 100 degrees which was wonderful to enjoy on a chilly April day we then went off to enjoy one of their hot tubs on their deck facing out on Lake Ontario which was so amazing and very relaxing, we may have spent 4 hours in the hot tub we finished off with enjoying some time in their sauna. The service was top notch and we would most certainly go back, thank you for an awesome experience that we wont soon forget!

My sisters, Mom and I rented the Wharf House for a birthday getaway this weekend in late April. The house was awesome - nicely decorated, comfortable furniture and full amenities for cooking and whatnot. It had a lovely backyard with BBQ, seating and an outdoor heater + a second level deck off of the main bedroom overlooking the water. The grounds were well maintained, gorgeous pool, hot tubs and fire pits, and a quaint spot for late night drinks and snacks. Megan was such a lovely host - warm, friendly and attentive to what we might need. We had a wonderful stay there and wished we had booked longer.

My wife and I came for two nights in the end of winter and had the most amazing time! We used the sauna, hot tub, and even jumped in the lake! They have an onsite bar where we had charceuterie and music. Plus very comfortable rooms with excellent service. One of the staff members, Brian, is the most hospitable person and so incredibly nice. We will absolutely come back! 10/10 recommend :)

This place is incredible! I would love to come back here in the summer when the pool and the rest of the amenities are open. The in-room amenities (Le Labo products, notebook, all the touches) were so classy. Brian and the rest of the team were wonderful and clearly work their hardest. 4 stars only because we brought our pup and the amenities for dog owners seem to be missing, mainly a place to dispose dog poop outside and dog bowls. With the additional $50 fee for dogs I assume it would come with some support for their stay. Overall, 100% returning again and loved the experience.

A Really Good Place for Staycation! By the Lake!Awesome Hospitality!

Good place to stay if you prefer peaceful place near a lake or want to unplug from city life! Only suggestion is to provide a microwave in the room and a drinking water source at the place! Otherwise location near downtown and service is on point!

After being so excited for our weekend at the Lakeside Motel, unfortunately, we will never know what this motel has to offer. After an emergency in our family that derailed our entire weekend in a matter of 24 hours, I called the office to reschedule our weekend. We were told this we would not be able to do this and that the General Manager would be contacting us. We received no follow up from anyone at The Lakeside Motel. We understand the cancellation policy, however, we were simply looking to reschedule our weekend or see if any kind of credit could be applied our stay. Lack of compassion and customer service :(

Beautiful motel and very well managed. Many different room options available for any type of crew. Our room was cozy, light and modern. The Lakeside Motel has a beautiful location on the water and the walkability to local restaurants, stores and local brewery is perfection. Our host, Bryan, gave us exceptional service from the moment we arrived for our girls weekend, to the very end of our stay. We will be back!

We came here for a baby moon / birthday celebration and spent two nights in their biggest suite. The staff were amazing - especially Bryan! And the room was beautiful with thoughtful touches. Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is their fee to use the hot tub / sauna ($50.00 ). My recommendation is it s your off season, and this should absolutely be included to guests, especially those staying for longer than an overnight stay. We were disappointed at this. Maybe something that can be reconsidered so off season guests are more comfortable!

We were lucky enough that to stay at the Lakeside on that one wonderful weather weekend in February. The rooms we had was very quaint and clean. The grounds were well maintained and lovely - landscaping to the lake was really beautiful. Brian was the best host/manager! The motel only had a few quests but he went around a lot a bunch of outdoor fires for us all and served drinks to everyone. He did an amazing job! We enjoyed our stay! Thanks you Brian!

We stayed here for my 27th birthday and it was lovely - so quaint! The room was very stylist (loved the interiors), the lady on the reception was soo friendly and welcoming and the setting was phenomenal! Best way to spend a birthday! Rooms: Lovely with an indoor fire and bathtub!

I was so surprised by how beautiful The Lakeside Motel is! It s in a beautiful location, the rooms are super clean & chic. The staff is personable & very sweet. Haley at the front desk was wonderful & gave us so many recommendations right off the bat. We will definitely be booking again in the summer time, & can t wait to see what else Prince Edward County has to offer! Thank you Lakeside Motel for a wonderful weekend away.

Motel is in very nice area and very close to sandbanks beach and also has a very nice view of the water. Rooms smelled very strongly of cleaner and the beds in the room were very uncomfortable and squeaky. Rooms were also very small. Overall not too good not too bad. Rooms: Squeaky metal beds and rooms smelled like cleaner.

Staff are amazing. The location is one of a kind and the food is also great. Keep in mind that due to complaints from residents they had to downsize their kitchen and they do not have a big selection of items but what is on the menu is always great. To be honest, they are one of the reasons we fell in love with the county and moved here. We always go here during the summer and enjoy drinks and oysters on their amazing patio. OHHH they have a dog menu so we always take our dog. He lovvvvveeeeess the food.

My family and I stayed here in August 2021. Unfortunately, it was anticlimactic insofar as it had very little to offer besides an insta-ready room. Indeed, the rooms were clean, quirkily decorated to theme, as was the pool and the cute office. Service was great, too, both in the planning and in situ. Why I am disappointed is because there is little beyond the room besides a parking lot If not for the yurt we rented for my brother, which comes with a picnic table and firepit, we (as motel customers) would have had nowhere to gather as a family for every. inch. of the smaller-ish lot is used. One can sit on a bench outside their motel room, but that, as previously suggested, looks out to a parking lot It is NOT the place to book for the surely beautiful lakefront/view which is basically inaccessible/unappreciable if not a restaurant customer, and there is NO PRIORITY given/granted to those staying guests.

We had a great stay at The Lakeside Motel. The Hot Spring Break program during the winter was amazing - would highly recommend a stay there! Great location in Prince Edward County, steps from the main part of Wellington.

I lucked out with the most gorgeous weekend in April. The grounds were absolutely stunning and well kept. The staff , so amazing and had so many great recommendations. Absolutely a great spot to unwind and get away from the city. It s also doggy friendly. I can t wait to come back.

Beware of this motel!! If you need to cancel even 1 minute after their generic cancellation policy, we cancelled 8 days, they claim it was 7. They will not refund anything. Don t give them your money, stay elsewhere and support other businesses.

If you re looking for an overpriced, quiet place to getaway with your gal pals, then the Lakeside Motel is the spot for you. Great location, clean modern rooms, friendly helpful staff until they re not! Sorry Hailey. Regardless of the several thousands of dollars we paid for an overnight stay, don t expect to arrive ahead of the 3-4 pm checkin and settle into your room. There s a charge for that. We booked months in advance for the Hot Springs experience, when in actual fact it s just a glorified robe rental fee, as the motel guests also have access to the heated pool and the hot tubs. Several of our party waited 45 minutes for robes. Management adheres very strictly to the noise by-law as we were kindly asked to take it inside at 11:06 pm for literally laughing out loud apparently too loud according to municipal standards. I live local, and always like to support local, but I will not be returning to this venue or recommending it. Greed is unbecoming!

Had a wonderful time when I came with family. As a design student, I appreciated the attention to detail on everything! Just get rid of the denim aprons and it ll be flawless haha!

SOOO OVERPRICED! Beware. We rented two Cabanas and paid $500 upfront for food an beverage. We had a mediocre day and walked out with an extra $1000 extra bill. We were SHOCKED. There is no reasonably priced options for drinks or food. It cost $30 EACH to dip your toe in the pool. The website is purposefully ambiguous. Automatic gratuity is $200 regardless of service level. Will not return. I am sick from this outrageous bill. Not worth it.

The views are 5 stars, but that s about it. The food is mediocre , if you really want dinner then stick to the burger/pizza. The service is horrible, you need a lot of patience to make it through the dinner. Everything came late, all orders were mixed up, and even the bill was wrong. All with a sorry not sorry, we just opened for the season . We are in PEC every weekend and I am not coming back , such a waste of what could have been an amazing experience.

Have been here twice and have rarely seen such exemplary service. The staff are attentive, lovely/pleasant and thoughtful. We also rented a cabana for a group and had the best ever day. Dining by the water, chillaxing in our comy, cozy tent, and lying by the pool. All wonderful. Noteworthy details: Food and drinks - lovely. Great location.

Lakeside Motel is an excellent place to visit in the county!! You have beachfront views, amazing patio and restaurant, outstanding pool, and exceptional service. The views are outstanding, and the sounds of the waves as you eat makes it feel like you re in the Caribbean. Food was excellent!! Good vibes only. Can t wait to hit the pool this summer!

Came here to celebrate with my friends for a special occasion for a reservation that was made months in advance. We were extremely disappointed in the service we received. Service was extremely slow when bringing out drinks, food, and then the final bill. All of the food that was delivered was cold and the burger tasted like it was frozen. We brought this to the attention of our server and the manager and nothing was done. I felt extremely ill when I got home from from the restaurant. I would not come back here again.

The place has a wonderful view, good spot to take photos. The staffs are very friendly. Recommend!

I have been coming to Lakeside for a number of years. It is a location where you almost dont want to leave because of all its amenities, especially when the weather is hot! It is prime location in that it is steps to town or a 5 minute drive to several beautiful, quaint wineries. My most recent stay, I rented a cabana with some friends. We were quite comfortable. Great pics. Very easy to meet the minimum spend required, a few bottles of wine, pool passes and some food and we had a great afternoon for a decent price, all while working on a tan! Another night we went for dinner: their cocktail list is great....love the spicy elements they have added to give them a little kick, food was fantastic - calamari a hit, truffle fries always a staple, vegan tacos were yummy and burger delish, open faced sandwiches full of flavour and great portions. I have stayed in their rooms but really enjoy their bungalow....a private an intimate space for your own personal gathering. I read some of the reviews and its shocking how I have not once experienced any lack of service, there is always someone around willing and able to assist. Having worked in the service industry I am not so quick to complain, on the contrary, I recognize a superb space, ambience, attention to detail and am grateful an establishment like this exists. This is a unique operation; most of what they are doing is outdoors and that alone can present its own challenges. Id say you are doing pretty darn well. It truly is a lovely space. Cheers!

Unfortunately all this place really had to offer was a cute room - which is still not justifiable for the price. Nothing is included, except for the pool which blows me away at that price point. We booked the ten out of ten room and there was a swatted birds nest on our porch and the water kept fluctuating while taking a shower. Even the TP was one ply. These are all things I could look past, but at that price point is inexcusable. Unfortunately the weather wasn t great during our stay so we couldn t enjoy the view at the water as we had to eat inside. Absolutely anything and everything you wanted or needed came with an additional charge. We had brunch the next morning at the drake and will likely stay there next time as it seems like you get much more value for your money. I planned an entire day at The Lakeside Motel for my sister s bachelorette weekend. Our group was 11 people and we had 2 cabanas reserved. The cabanas were beautiful and stocked really well with a variety of options. I also did the pool access option for everyone the cost of this went towards our minimum spend for the cabanas. The pool was beautiful and we loved sitting poolside, drinking and eating. The cabanas were great for shade and a place to house all of our stuff. All of the staff was super friendly. Really kind and attentive. Courtney and Hailey were especially amazing- they took care of us that day and we were truly happy with the service! Food was also good! Overall, it was a beautiful day and I would recommend!!

The steak, although delicious, was served on a deep dinner plate, which didnt enhance the dining experience. I was surprised by the drink selection, especially the absence of local wines in this county. As a wine enthusiast, I had hoped to try regional varieties, but unfortunately, they werent available. Additionally, the wine was served in cocktail glasses, which made it feel more like fruit juice than wine :)) Overall, the food quality was good, but the presentation, lack of local wine options, and the choice of glassware were minor drawbacks to an otherwise enjoyable dining experience.

Honestly this is one of the nicest places I ve stayed in Ontario. The staff is super friendly and super helpful and accommodating! Me and my boyfriend stayed for the long weekend and they went above and beyond to make our trip extra special! We will definitely be coming back once a year! The place is super beautiful right on the water really great food as well! Thank you again to Duncan and to the rest of the staff for all your help with helping me plan this trip!

We booked the lakeside motel and stayed in the wharf house in September 2022. Two of our guests were sick and couldn t make it. Luckily I had purchased cancellation insurance, so we got a credit of upwards of $1K to use within the year. We tried to book a stay in July 2023 for the only weekend that was vacant and worked with our schedule. Since we could not apply the credit online we called to arrange the booking. We did not hear back for four days and by the time we called back to inquire, the room was booked. We were informed we had to use the credit by September 1. Coincidentally our friends booked a stay in PEC, and asked us to join them in early July. As a day trip they had booked the cabana at the Lakeside. We joined them and there were 12 of us- we used the pool, cabana and had lunch; this cost upwards of $600. Knowing I had a credit I asked the front desk if I could apply it to cover the full cost of the cabana. The gentleman at the front desk called the manager to inquire. She called him back 15 mins later, while we waited and told him to tell us that only $150 can go towards the cabana and insisted the rest had to go towards a room. The gentleman checked and there was no availability leading up to Sept 1 that worked for us. Realizing there s no opportunity to use the credit, we asked him to inquire if anything else can be done. He called the manager and she didnt budge. I reminded the gentleman that we re loyal guests and go to PEC each year for the past 5-6 years, and each time visit the Lakeside. We recommend it to friends and they ve booked the lakeside as a result. He understood our situation and was visibly nervous from the situation his manager put him in. The experience we encountered that day was truly disappointing, especially when we just spent $600+ on the cabana that day and it s the same place. We asked to speak to the manager directly. Sensing our frustration and showing compassion and understanding he called her again. She said she s in a meeting. He reiterated that we wanted to talk to her directly and instead of coming down to see us, she called back and finally let us use the credit towards the cabana- but with several limitations which we later discovered. Almost after an hour of waiting, including by the other members of our party, we worked with the cabana attendant to resolve our payment. We put approx. $600 towards the cabana but had funds remaining. The attendant went back and forth with the manager who was seated by the bar but never came to talk to us on what we could use the remaining funds for. We wanted unopened alcohol- manager said no. The attendant (also showing compassion and understanding) offered us s mores kits for the kids- manager said no, because it had to be from the cabana. After another 30 mins of back and forth, we took what she allowed (i.e. overpriced chips) and left. In my option our situation could have been resolved in a few minutes by allowing us to use the credit towards the cabana. This would have retained our trust and loyalty. Instead the manager went back and forth with us for approx. 1 hour and put the staff in an uncomfortable situation. Im inclined to think they care more about the Influencers walking around their hotel then the actual guests. Noteworthy details: Be prepared to see tons of influencers walking around taking selfies and posing for the camera. While we were there having lunch one was filming guests eating, without seeking permission. This was also irritating.

I don t often write reviews; however, I feel compelled to review my recent experience at the Lakeside Motel. My girlfriends and I stayed there for 2 nights in the Wharf house. I ll start by saying, the property is amazing. They have done such a nice job and really thought of all those instagramable moments. The Wharf house was beautiful and very comfortable. We were greeted by Duncan who was so welcoming. He unfortunately left at 2:30pm that day and that was the last of any decent customer service we received. We found that most of the staff we interacted with were either rude or not welcoming at all. Everything was an extra charge. We paid over $3000 for 2 nights in the wharf house and would think that amenities like the sauna or hot tub would be included, nope! You have to pay an additional $100. Your room stay only includes use of the pool which is barely heated. Can be refreshing on those really hot days though. We could have used the hot tub if we booked one of the tents with a minimum spend of $350. It would have been good to know that before we had already spent $500 at the restaurant. We asked if they could apply our restaurant bill to the tent since no one was using it (the property was empty, it was Sunday and no one was there), but no, we were told it s not an all-inclusive resort and they couldn t make an exception. We also paid an additional $100 per night for a cot to have an additional guest. They provided us with a cot and a green lumpy old sleeping bag. When I asked for a duvet, comforter or even a top sheet we were met with resistance and said they didn t have onsite laundry and had nothing left to provide us. Finally, they made it right and gave us a duvet on the 2nd night. I should say that we did have great service from Branden at the bar one night when we were having drinks by the fire. We had told him our experience and he was super apologetic. I m not sure if they saw a group of ladies and thought we were going to be annoying or a certain way. We were a group of moms in our late 30 s/40 s just looking to have a good time with our friends. It s definitely a one and done for us. I wish I had read some of these reviews prior to booking, rather than solely being influenced by Instagram. There are so many more things I could add, but I ll leave it at this. We still made the most of it and had a fabulous time with our girlfriends on our annual trip!

So over priced wow. If you are going to charge me $18 for a single shot cocktail you need to put some effort into it. Boring. I had 1 drink and left. Shame.

I stayed at The Lakeside Hotel for a combo group and solo trip, as I was staying an extra night than the group I arrived with, so I thought I would get my own space. I stayed in the the Two Queen Suite which was more than enough space for me. The two beds were separated by a cute sliding door (its not sound or light proof, but a nice little divider) and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but certainly had all of the things that you need. The mini bar was dangerous haha- candy, chips, pop, etc. and super handy to have access to. The rooms are simple and minimalist with no extra seating or lounge space, but this was sufficient for me. My biggest challenge with the room was privacy- parking is directly in front of each room and the doors to the rooms are glass, so you really do have to keep the blinds and shutters fully closed for the entirety of your stay as people are constantly walking by. I attempted to go to the pool the first full day I was there, which was a Saturday, and being the old soul that I am, I thought I would bring a book and relax. As I passed the pool, I realized that it was more of a loud, Instagram selfie-haven and it was EXTREMELY busy. This is totally fine, but it really wasnt the vibe I was looking for on this trip- if I was in my 20s and there for a bachelorette party or girls weekend, I could see this being a ton of fun, however! I had a quick lunch at the on site restaurant, waiting about 30 minutes for a table. The menu is simple and my server was lovely- I had a salad and, although overdressed, it was fine. The best part about the Motel is its location. It was so easy to walk everywhere, parking on site was convenient, and all of the great restaurants on the strip are only a few minutes away. The staff, especially Duncan, were helpful and great to deal with. Would I stay here again? No, as it was just a little too young, trendy and loud for me BUT what a cool spot for groups looking for a high energy getaway in beautiful PEC!

Reserved a room through Expedia 2 months prior. While checking in, I m told they don t have my reservation, but will figure it out, go enjoy the restaurant, that closes in 15 mins . Waited an hour before getting impatient, found the manager. The man tells me oops yeah sorry you re still here, I m trying to talk to Expedia I don t know what happened I took the matter into my own hands and called Expedia myself and had a 3 way convo with the manager. Find out they just never reserved a room for me, the manager blames Expedia (an online company that s been doing this for 10+ years, right). Had nothing to offer me other than sorry good luck and figure it out. All hotels were booked up in Wellington those exact days. Felt like I was bothering them with my issue after driving 4 hours down to stay with them. Nobody helped, just left us stranded in the middle of nowhere. Awful service. After reading the reviews, should ve reserved elsewhere. Beyond unprofessional. I ll stay at the Drake next time. Thanks.

My rate is regarding the kid friendly politic. Its just not the vibe. Anoying, not the place to be if you want to be quiet... The staff is on point tho.

My family and I visited their gorgeous patio twice for dinner while we were camping nearby at Sandbanks Provincial Park. The patio and pool area are destination resort caliber, positively stunning. The cocktail, lunch and dinner menus have something for everyone, and everything that we tried was outstanding. They even have a doggy menu! Not only can you bring your dog on the patio, they get the same great service that you do. Noteworthy details: Dog friendly.

Beautiful location with a great view of Lake Ontario. Very friendly staff and extremely accommodating. We had the burger which was really good at the corn on the cob which was delicious. Our friend had a tuna, and she said it was very good. The Beach pie was great, basically a lemon pie.

We visited The Lakeside Motel for a bite to eat, some drinks with our friends who live in the area. Although it was overcast, we loved the ambiance of the sound of the waves while enjoying some delicious Alioli Fries with truffle oil, Warm Olives with flatbread and drinks with great company. The service was attentive and excellent. The cabanas are lovely (set up for a romantic dinner, private dinner for 8, romantic evening). There s a hot tub nearby. The pool is really nice. There are great options for lounging and/or enjoying the sunshine. Bathrooms are unisex and not well lit. They re really clean and private. We love being able to enjoy the Ontario waterfront. We loved our afternoon here. $$$ Nearby activities: There s a beautiful, lively Italian cafe in town. They close at 4:30 on Saturdays. Enjoy the ice cream shop and various other shops. Very quaint.

I wanted to share this review for awareness for those planning to stay at Lake side hotel. Like most of you I ve stayed at various hotels over the years and fully understand somethings are out of their control. In summary, Lakeside seems to only care about the money and will not issue a refund for any reason regardless of the experience. In addition, the management and their staff are inexperienced. The longer story is I planned a day trip for my mom and the booking agent confirmed our early checking for 1pm. We travelled from Toronto (approx 2.5hrs) and when we arrived the check-in agent was very disorganized and the room was not ready. My mom is 70 with back issues which I explained before travelling. Once we arrived, I had hoped she would be able to get into the room and lie down but instead we had to sit outside in the sun for 45 minutes. At the 1:45pm mark I asked to speak to a manager. I was greeted by Haylee who was not helpful at all. I explained this isn t the experience we expected and asked for a refund given the broken communication, disorganization, and wait period. Her response was it d against our policy to issue refunds I politely said I fully understand that under normal circumstances however this isn t a customer just cancelling because they changed their mind, it s because If the experience we are having and we no longer wish to be here. Her response was you can change the experience by staying she stood firm on the no refund and ignored our request. To avoid the total loss we ended up staying reluctantly. What was more disappointing was her tone throughout our discussion was condescending. She then positioned their error for not booking the early checking fee of $25 as a compromise we should be happy with. They could have asked what else they could do to make up for the experience but it was evident she didn t care. We stayed at Drake Hotel (2min walk down the street) the next day for the same price and the customer experience, atmosphere, and food were fantastic. We will never stay at Lakeside ever again.

Not impressed with their service... Despite having a reservation with a toddler and pregnant woman in our party, we had to wait over 50mins for someone to take our order, even after asking for water after 30min of not being acknowledged after being seated, and again, asking for someone to come by because even after they provided water, we were ignored. While the food was good, there really wasnt an apology for the delay, or attempt to make up for the lost service/time. Having worked in the service industry myself, it was shocking that there wasnt any compensation offered for the inconvenience. Other oddities were that you had to pay for boiled water after having ordered a tea, and there were no mocktails available, which is surprising for a restaurant of this standard. Nice view, but not a great experience for our first time there.

Ive driven by the Lakeside Motel many times and wondered what was behind the black fence. The answer quite clearly is an oasis. It was like stepping into some California resort. The pool, the cabanas, the motel rooms and a wonderful restaurant overlooking the lake. Service was stellar. We are in the sun and the owners spent a great deal of time making sure that we were well shaded by moving umbrellas to help us. The waitress was knowledgeable and the food arrived very quickly and was delicious. We had the burgers, jicama tacos and calamari. When you enter your quite literally transported to another place. They even had food options for the dog.

Server was rude but otherwise everything was great, food delicious and stunning views.

We came to the Lakeside Motel after it was recommended by our friends. We had a tremendous stay in one of their rooms and thoroughly enjoyed the meals we ate at the restaurant on site. The staff was extremely friendly and their manager Hailey went above and beyond while we were there. My husband and I would recommend anyone to go check out this hidden gem.

NOT A 5-STAR RESORT FOR 5-STAR PRICING. This is my 4th or 5th stay here at the Lakeside Motel. Since, it s opened I ve enjoyed visiting with friends and family, however our recent stay felt quite off. We stayed in the 2 Queen room - it did the job, but just that. Minimal seating area for lounging and lacking privacy with glass windows and doors. It is also next to the staff area, however don t expect to be greeted with a smile or hello when you encounter the many staff frequenting this area. It almost felt as if we were in their way sitting outside our room. The beds feel smaller than a Queen. No housekeeping in the rooms, as they are still blaming this on Covid. There s an ice bucket in the room and even that is not included and it s an additional $5 - FOR ICE. Don t stay in this room if you like a quiet morning - as they begin playing extremely loud music at 9AM from the front desk area which is next door. Nothing is included as a hotel guest - everything is an extra charge. The only amenity you have access to is the pool (albeit freezing). There is a sauna and hot tub on the property that you only have access to at an additional charge - even after paying premium prices to stay on the property? We saw ZERO people use any of these amenities throughout our stay, very disappointing. At the end of the day, the property is beautiful, however the price to stay here just doesn t match the experience. There are no perks of being a guest of the hotel, you may as well just visit for the day to access the pool. Seems like it s gone downhill in service tremendously since my past few visits. The property has so much potential - sad to see the experience doesn t match it.

An escape from Canada within Canada! Staff was incredibly friendly & accommodating. Rooms and amenities were very clean. Great food, great heated pool and beautiful sunset. Loved my entire experience! Would go back 100% PS if you re from Toronto and stay overnight in PEC, look at the stars. I ve never seen so many stars in my life, I m still blown away.

Thank you Bryan for the amazing service. We went for a drink on their beautiful patio and since it was off season we were alone. Sunset was gorgeous and we were treated so well. We would go back for the great service!!

Very expansive price for no service except from the room. in low season we understand that there is no swimming pool. However, its unacceptable that there was no staff after 6:00 pm, so there was no bonfire and the bar was closed. The price ($920 for 2 nights) was the same as in high summer. So we asked if we could use the spa and we had to pay $100 + 50$ for thirty minutes! Outrageous. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, there was no reaction either directly or by e-mail: no reply! There are a few things you need to do before you start charging top-of-the-range prices! The place is very pretty and clean. Rooms: spacious room

Rooms clean, but beds squeeky and retro style. Very few plugs to charge electronics. Innovative fire pit are overlooking the lake. Unique experience. Breakfast not included. Rooms: Innovative design and clean. Some parts not very practical.

Such a beautiful experience. We were able to have a quiet getaway with our dog. The best staff as well. They had Le Labo kits in the shower and the rooms were absolutely magical. The manager, Hailey, ensured we had an experience we would never forget. This destination is clean and elegant. We were able to stay cozy by well maintained fires by the water. The food is amazing too! Great job The Lakeside Motel!

A beautiful spot to stay and I ll definitely be returning. The fire place in the room made it extremely cozy. They are also pet friendly and lovely staff!

We had awesome experience at the Lakeside Motel! The amenities were great, staff was extremely friendly and had zero hiccups along the way. We stayed in the late fall/winter so the fireplace in the room at night is a nice tough :)

Visiting PEC in the wintertime is such a lovely getaway. Enjoyed the sauna at the Lakeside, glass of wine by the firepit, fireplace in the room - highly recommend a winter visit!

We didn t have the greatest experience here. While there were definitely some pros, the cons just made it unpleasant. I always try and give restaurants the benefit of the doubt and I m not too difficult to please but this was just so frustrating I had to post this review. Pros: The view here is great. By the lake and the outdoor patio is really nice, with fire pits where you can have smores. The food was decent and the prices are what you d expect in the area. Cons: The food seems to come from a food truck and they don t seem coordinated with the actual hotel/restaurant. We had half our group get their food while the other half waited almost 30 minutes. Basically half of us watched the other half eat while this reversed 30 minutes later. They also forgot my order and so I had to wait even longer for my meal to come. Basically ended up having to eat alone. They also messed up one person in our group s cocktail but they did accommodate and replace it. It was just a really frustrating experience because we were paying a lot and were excited but the experience completely killed our mood. Probably not coming back here. We had a much better experience and better food at the Drake which is just down the street.

Overpriced, no variety for food and to top it all off I found hair in my food. Absolutely disgusting, will not be returning

Jaslyne our server was amazing and helpful selecting our meals. The view of Lake Ontario eating our meal on the patio overlooking the water was breathtaking! We both had the Lakeside Burger with the Lakeside fries (recommend this option!) and it was delicious. The burger patty was homemade tasting. Will be back for sure!

Excellent stay with the all amenities on a smaller boutique scale. Paul was our server and was super attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend for a short getaway from the city! Rooms

The Lakeside Motel is a favourite waterfront hang in the County. The best patio vibes! Food was delicious as usual, service by Paul was friendly, efficient and he offered up a great wine reco! Will be back!

The food and servie is excellent. The vieux and the setting is beautiful. I highley recommend this place if you want an amazing and unique experience. 10/10 would go again

OMG. We found this place (out of the way yet smack in the middle of trendy Prince Edward County) on the recommendation of a friend who lives locally. Unreal. Drove two hours to get here simply for the lunch and the view. It was worth every second. Every detail is done right. Staff is super pleasant and engaged. The food is thoughtful, innovative and delish. And so, man oh man, on a breezy sunny summer afternoon could there be a better place to dine, literally lakeside, than The Lakeside? Nope. (The sparklingly reno ed 1960s-type motel part also looked awesome. Think: Palm Springs North..)

Feels like your at a resort in the Caribbean by the water but youre actually in Ontario! Good music, food is pretty good! Been here a couple of times but no chance to go for a dip!

Did not stay here but visited the patio along the lake. What a great little hideaway. Had a nice time with friends along the water with great service.

Beautiful bar and patio by the wayet with great views of the lake and nice firepits. Not very obvious there is this bar behind the motel. Service was a bit disorganized but otherwise a nice spot and worth the visit.

This place is your best chance to eat at 8:50pm. Hurry!

Lovely lunch on the water. Great service and food. Washroom in need of a little attention. Paper towel top up needed and quite a bit of paper on floor.... The attention is always in the details!

First, we had a reservation but no one was expecting us. I had to come up with my name myself. Secondly, the value for money is really not fair. The kitchen is a FOOD TRUCK!!!! Three, the people who work there are in no way qualified, trained and representative of a restaurant that qualifies as one of the top. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. For a $200 bill we expected more.

We went to the restaurant and if the service we got there is representative of the service of the motel, youll have a very expensive and shallow experience unfortunately. The food is super basic to make (pizzas, burgers, premade things), but most of it comes out of a food truck and is not very good. The staff wasnt very qualified or helpful. The service is average. The view is what is advertized, but I can guarantee youll leave the place feeling disappointed. Avoid.

We ve been coming for several years. It s one of our favourite spots. It s SUCH a beautiful spot, and the food looked amazing unfortunately the flavour was missing so sad!

Sad execution of a great idea. No staff ever came to our cabana to bring us our towels. We were told they were out and had to wait almost an hour before we could find towels ourselves. No one ever took our orders and when we went to place our orders the bar staff asked us to place orders at the other bar. The staff objected to us putting drinks and food on our cabana tab, which the manager explicitly encouraged us to do. The food and drinks, once ordered, weren t brought to us. That s standard customer service. In what world do you have to go back to the kitchen to get your pizza for enjoyment by the pool? The music selection was good but oppressively loud; no one wants a club atmosphere at 10am. The place is aesthetic but so pretentious. Overpriced food and drinks for what you get. They did a good job of making the place look nice but customer service was very sad. There were confusing deposited and secret charges made the bill very frustrating, too.

I really wanted to like this place, but the terrible service just kept making the experience more unpleasant. They charge luxury, private cabana prices (e.g. $12 for corn on the cob) but delivered motel self-serve level of service. The food and drinks were yummy, but nearly impossible to get. I want to think they just had half their staff call in sick that day, but the staff made no apologies and behaved as if this was standard operating procedure for them. The staff were trying their best but just seemed like they were way overworked/understaffed. Management either needs to halve their prices or double their staff. Cant have it both ways.

Came for lunch before heading into Picton. What a spot, so tucked away. The deck is beautiful, food is great, drinks were good, but its all about the views and the vibe. This place is so cool.

Great spot, right on the water with good service. Did not stay but we scoped a chill pool, beach volleyball, cornhole, etc and looks like a great place to spend an afternoon.

This place is absolutely stunning, took our breathes away, magical at night! The pool and the dock are stunning!

We came here for lunch as we had a gift card. We live locally and were impressed with the scenic views and delicious food. We had the Caesar salad, Lakeside Inn fries, pulled pork tacos and fish and chips. So good and generous portions! Thank you for the amazing date!

This place is BEAUTIFUL! You will feel like youre at a resort, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visited for lunch today and had a fantastic time. Great service, beautiful views, simple but tasty menu. I will be back to spend a day at the pool! Highly reccomend !

We visited The Lakeside Motel in 2021 to enjoy the pool for the day and decided to spend 2 nights this year. The pool is a fantastic spot to spend the day having some drinks and food (I recommend the corn and lakeside fries). TLM is in a great location in PEC, as there are a few great restaurants within walking distance (Tip: Most restaurants close around 8 pm & make resos 2-3 weeks in advance during peak season!!) and a ton of wineries/breweries just a short drive away. If you dont feel like leaving the property, thats not an issue as they have a great waterfront restaurant. Great spot for lunch and/or dinner, and they have a couple of bonfires at night to enjoy a nightcap! TLM is also very dog friendly! We didnt bring our pooch, but we might next year. If youre concerned about leaving them in the room while youre gone during the day, another guest told us about The Sniffery! The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. My only complaint is the bathroom lighting... it was impossible to put makeup on in there. Small complaint, but even my partner said something, so wasnt just a female issue. lol Either way, already looking to book TLM for our PEC getaway for next year!!

Quite a beautiful place. When my wife and I heard motel we didnt know what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we discovered just how beautiful it was. I took a picture and it could be easily mistaken for one of our pictures from our trip to Hawaii! The food was also wonderful. Creative takes on classic favourites. Way to go everybody. :)

I ve been wanting to go to Wellington and to stay at this place for a while. I have to say it was well worth the wait. I dealt with Jenna prior to my stay and she was incredible. After some back and fourth by email, when my wife and I arrived we were handed a printout with a suggested personalized itinerary of what to do over the course of the next few days we were in town which really added to our positive experience. There are only 11 rooms and 2 homes so book ahead of time (as far as 1 year out). Our room was clean and tidy and they had electrical outlets in their outdoor parking lot so I was able to charge my Tesla (albeit very slowly). The motel also has a food truck and sauna! I wanted to book a massage in their outdoor tent however please note they outsource their massage therapist and they only have 1 who travels in from an hour away. As I was trying to make the appointment last minute I wasn t able to book a massage before we left so if you d like a massage I suggest booking it prior to your arrival. The restaurant by the water is also amazing. The food is great and the vibe by the restaurant and pool with great music was the perfect touch. Note this is the only motel in Wellington with a pool. Another plus is that they re dog friendly! For those who aren t able to get an overnight reservation you can go for the day and rent an upscale teepee tent (there s a minimum spend for food and beverage). My wife and I had the best time and highly recommend staying here!

One of the best views from their patio, but then there s the food. For the prices, one would expect a hand-formed burger and fresh fries. The burger was a frozen patty like you can buy from Giant Tiger, terrible. Fries from M&M frozen. Go for drinks and the view. Pass on the food, overpriced and worse than bad pub food.

Amazing. Fantastic. Superb. That is just to start with. On a wonderful patio overlooking beatiful Lake Ontario one gets treated to exquisite food, impressive drinks menu (from vintage champagne to intoxicating cocktails to artisan beer) and magnificent service from delightful staff. It is pet friendly top class dining with a choice of chicken or beef for the lucky puppy along with their own bowl of fresh delicious water. This is a place to visit again and again and again!

Must-visit place when in PEC! Being mid-November, we had tempered expectations for our visit to the area, but wow! It was if the Lakeside Motel conjured up the perfect setting I could have only ever dreamed of: a cozy fire and great drinks in a gorgeous setting, hovering above the shoreline of Lake Ontario. We were looking for a cozy place to spend an afternoon and the Lakeside Motel more than delivered, with their cozy, fireside bar service, complete with s mores and a lake-side tree swing. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and attentive and we can t wait to come back to experience another season in this lovely pace!
