Food service was really quick and friendly. The atmosphere of the store was unique and the food tasted good.

I stop by every time I go to the West End, and my favorite is pepper cheesesteak. The staff is friendly and the food comes out quickly, which is great.

The food isnt really my thing, however I have been there many times, as it is my friend groups fave spot, the food is fresh and good quality. And my friends love it, Its a good vibe we will be back.

Totally disappointed in the serving size of the cheesesteak. It was a serving size suitable for a child. Flavour was good in the cheesesteak. But overall the main meal for the place which was the cheesesteak did not meet its expectations.

The place that was once a prominent icon of Westend. I remember PJ donated a lot of time and effort to protect this street alive with neighborhood business, but after he left, the Westend shop couldnt avoid its decline. Its heartbreaking that the American food and culture he left behind in Westend cant continue under the new owner.

So good. I like the aesthetic of the place, their picture wall of pop-culture references and the American vibe that the place gave. Their classic cheese-steak with the American cheese and their fries were really good. I need to try their sweet potato fries and their onion rings tower in the future. Overall a very pleasant experience, staff were very friendly, definitely would recommend trying at least once. I will definitely be coming back here soon.

PJ s Steaks owners have always been so friendly and helpful! My partner loves PJ s and they always remember him and wave, and the cheesesteaks are the best in Brisbane. Their homemade gravy is fantastic. Get the tater tots with sour cream. Just note there aren t many seats and it s best ordered takeaway

My girl and I have been comming to PJ Steaks for a number of years and decided to go here this afternoon to celebrate our anniversary together. The food here has always been amazing and today was no exception! The meat is tender and delicious, the bread soft for an overall melt-in-mouth experience. Another positive thing to note, Im sure that the sandwichs have gotten bigger over the years! The staff are attentive, friendly and kind. Of all the philly-cheese style steak places Ive been to, this place is hands down the best! On a personal note to the gentleman that served us, I truely appreciate the kindness you showed my family today. In this day and age I find it a rare quality and that is why I wanted to leave you a positive review.

The place wasnt the worse Ive ever been to for a hotdog, Wasnt the best either though, But least it wasnt the worse, I did definitely enjoy the hot dog, The chips was pretty good and well seasoned. Overall: I do recommend this place as it is affordable and you get what you pay for, The hot dog was cooked very well and the bun were super soft.

Best steak grilled sub I ve ever eaten. And the onion rings are perfectly crispy. Highly recommend dropping in to find a hopefully new regular spot.

I got stuffed for $13 on a lunch special hoagy and fries. Huge, great value for money. They have some veg. friendly options, sweet potatoes and fried pickles. You know, when you need cheesy meat rolls... this is worth considering.

For a first Philly steak oh boy it was a great experience. Once I ve seen a fb video showing that Sanger and I ve been craving and looking for it since. Wasn t a disappointment it was really good. The steaks is really tender and tasty, not fat was dripping a contrary as some people say and the bread super soft. And I had a decent amount of meat. The only thing I would ve love is to have my meat sunk in goooey cheese like they do in the us so it needed more cheese inside out. Will be definitely back. It s way better and tastier than any steaks burger I had before.

Tried almost all of the cheesesteaks and they all taste great, excellent chips. They are a bit heavy and greasy so not something you want to be eating too often. Slightly pricey.

Three words. Chilli, cheese, steak.

I had trouble to place order via phone and had to call back to confirm my order (as the staff hung up on me!) We had mushrooms steak, bread was dry and barely could taste the cheese / mushroom.

After being a long time resident of pj s regrettably I had a sad experience today. Both mine and my partners cheesesteaks (which are usually of high quality) had very gamey taste and chewy meat. The service of staff was average. I was disappointed for my first time ever, what s going on?

PJs is great for that delicious greasy American style subs. Its greasy and fatty but you dont feel terrible afterwards, you can always have a little more. And their range of American/Mexican drinks go down oh so well. Any sub you get is guaranteed to be good. Such a wicked small little American style sub shop. Even do cheap beers if youre there at the right time. They have a loyalty card too, so go start filling it up

They didn t put any cheese on our cheesesteaks which was highly disappointing when we arrived home and saw this. Are they new owners as the quality seems to have slipped.

I ordered one chili cheesesteak for myself and two of triple cheesesteaks for my wife and friend. The taste was so delicious with premium quality of Wagyu beef that combined with great cheeses. The staffs were friendly and very nice. My wife and I were so impressed with their food and services. So, we will come here again for sure.

Wow.. Such a great little gem in West End. So glad i stopped in here on saturday night. I ordered the Supreme Cheese steak and Classic hotdog, both had heaps of filling & tasted amazing! While waiting for the food to be made, they had UFC on and serve american beer! Definitely recommend!

Had a craving for authentic Philly cheese steak so drive over an hour to try this place and it did not disappoint. I had the mushroom Philly steak with the extra sharp provolone and it was delicious, would definitely recommend.

Best cheesesteaks in Brisbane. Admittedly theres not much competition, but PJs has been doing its thing for a long while now and has it down to a fine art. Always freshly made, and great value when its in a deal.

Food tastes great, but portion sizes are unfortunately on the small side and the pricing is high for what you get. Come for the experience, but if you are very hungry, you might end up disappointed.

Best philly in Brisbane

We got the mushroom & supreme cheesesteak & both were good but pretty similar in taste - majority of the taste came from the cheese, beef, & the nice bun. Their chilli-cheese fries were very delicious & would definitely recommend. A slight downside is that the price is little high for the portion-size; the images on their website appear larger than what you actually get.

Cheap and easy feed with good meat on a bun that doesnt overpower the filling. Great composition of each cheese steak and a good alternative to the late night kebab.

Love this place, a little on the pricey side but totally worth it!

Great place to have a late night feed. The friends and I were hungry one night and walked down to west end and found PJ steaks open late. I ordered the Garlic Gravy Cheese steak and it was delicious. The Wagyu steak was sliced and so tender and flavourful with the gravy, and not chunky so I didnt have to chew. I chose the provolone cheese which wasnt too overpowering for the sub. The bread was fluffy and soaked in all the flavour from the gravy. We sat outside and enjoyed our subs and beers while watching the nightlife of West End go by.

PJs has long been a favourite of mine. Their triple cheesesteak is amazing and has served me well through many hangovers. The staff in the west end shop have always been great and I will continue to come here for years to come

If you dont like pjs steaks your the sort of person to phone the police because you felt intimidated by a stop sign

Its hard to resist the flavour you get from the Cheesesteak here. Theres a great lunch deal for $13.90 for a regular Cheesesteak with your choice of cheese, side of fries, and a can of rot-gut.

For a 4.4 stars restaurant the food here is of low quality. I ordered through Deliveroo and the food came soggy. The food did not have that flavour that all of the reviews mentioned. All of their cheesesteaks options are exactly the same thing with + or - 1 ingredient. Their takeaway presentation leaves a lot to be desired. The size of the cheesesteak is very small compared to pictures and to any other cheesesteak in the US or Australia. Yes, the food may work if you order at the restaurant as a late night feed, but still, this food and at this price deserves a 1 star rating.

The food was great and plenty of flavours were present. The mushroom steak was a winner for me. The tator totes are also great. Just dont forget to make sure they give you the sour cream! I got home before I realised it was missing.

Good honest food

I love their classic cheese steak. The wagyu beef is so tender that you can almost feel it melts when it touches your tongue. Add a little mustard and just get ready to exclaim. Plus, all of the above for just $10. They deserve a 5 stars.
