Sorry to say the other reviews are correct, we were served raw pork dumplings. I asked for them to be cooked again and they were still undercooked when they came back - and this time there was a hair added. Best thing I can say about the food was the rice was nicely cooked. Waiter was polite but didn’t offer to take dumplings off the bill even though we couldn’t eat them.
Absolutely disgusting DO NOT EAT HERE!! Served us raw chicken dumplings and had a bad attitude when I expressed my disgust. Paid good money to go home and force myself to throw it back up. Putrid place!
Ordered 4 items to share between the 3 members of my family: 1. Pork & chive dumplings, 12pc $13.80, pan fried 8. Braised beef and vegetable noodles $13.80 28. Xiao long bao, 6pc $8.80 47. Spicy beef salad $12.80 The salad wasn't a salad in the usual sense of the word - it's all beef. Might have expected this if I'd read the Chinese menu but not everyone can do this, nor should they have to in order to realise that a salad isn't a salad. The xlb had very minimal soup. I'm talking a few drops. The pan fried dumplings looked dirty, like the pan they're cooked on has fried many things without a proper clean. This leaves the fried part of the dumplings covered in black bits. And it wasn't all that crispy either, so multiple fails in execution. The noodles were the most normal / as expected item, though not particularly exciting a dish. Service was adequate. I don't mind the look of the place but won't be keen to return to eat based on this experience, and can't recommend it to others.
This is my review after 3 visit. The food is a hit and miss. The best dish to order are the meat dumplings. I can see and taste they are hand made. Each dumpling looks different and the skin is thin with a good amount of filling. Flavour is balanced and tastes like home. The boiled version is your best option for a light supper. The fried version is good with crispy edges but has some inconsistency in the cook as could taste uncooked dough. The other dumplings such as vegetarian, xiao long Bao are most likely factory made. The Xiao long Bao skin was thick as. The vegetarian dumplings i bought from the store before. Another decent hit were the fried calamari and another fried protein which I can't remember now. They were very tasty. Worth the try. The noodles however were a major let down. I ordered fried noodles and they were wet. The noodles soups was just soya sauce added into hot water. Can't taste any thing else. The noodles were decently cooked and the protein in the beef noodles and then dumplings were fine. The service staff is friendly and pass me any extra cutlery I request with a smile. I will still visit just to eat their boiled dumplings as a light supper. Just had food there tonight, the dumpling was delicious and seen to be homemade. Love the tofu, it was crispy but creamy and smooth inside. Would come back and try other food
Had dinner there the other day, the food was absolutely delicious. My favourite is the stir-fried green beans & eggplant (photo attached!) Dumplings were also so good and the cheesy prawn toast!
Everything was a bit meh , the pork and chive dumpling were actually quite nice. And the pork n prawn were the big winner for us. I do appreciate the fact it looks like they’re made in house by hand. BBQ pork buns had a great soft bun but filling was very mushy and not overly flavourful. Duck rolls were overpriced for what you get. The stir fried vegetables had heaps of garlic and a slightly sweet but salty thick sauce. Myself and my Forbes both agreed it was overpriced and the young lady serving however lovely wasn’t the best. No ice for your drinks and no other condiments or accompaniments are served with your dishes. Which as you can see makes it all look very bland. ( except the veggies ) The buns and pancakes were cooked from frozen. Won’t be going back.
Delicious dumplings We dropped in for a late lunch on a quiet Sunday afternoon. My husband and I shared some pork and chive dumplings and a serve of stir fried green beans with pork. The dumplings were delicious - good skins and tasty fillings - and really good value, but we thought that the portion of green beans was a little small for the price!

I enjoyed the eggplant dumplings which are a highly unusual dish in chinese restaurants in southeast queensland, even sunnybank doesnt have these at most places. They are quite common in Haymarket in Sydney, so if you miss them, this is the only spot I am aware of that satisfies. I also enjoyed their cold noodle dishes with spicey peanut sauce and their wontons in red chili sauce are also quite good. I actually like those dishes even more than the eggplant dumplings. I found some of their other dumplings fine, but nothing special. Like others have mentioned the steamed or boiled versions of their dumplings are cooked more consistently well than their fried versions, so if you are on the fence dont order your dumplings fried. Their noodle soups are just ok, wouldnt order those again. For west end, this is great chinese food, but of course better can be found in Sunnybank if you are willing to drive 30 mins.

I work afternoon shifts nearby so I come here for dinner afterwards quite frequently, and the staff have been lovely as treating me like a regular customer. Delicious handmade Chinese food, and once when I lost my earbuds there, they picked them up for me, were lovely over the phone when I called to inquire and pick them up. Lovely staff and tasty food.
We were initially going to skip this spot for dinner because it was empty but the food was well-priced and delicious. Sonya gave us amazing service and was so sweet. Ill definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone else.
Used Uber eats- food cold. Not what was ordered and tasted like rubbish. We will never order from them again. Went to call or put it through Uber eats and no way to do so. Also the bao buns are meant to be 3 pieces and we got 2. $85 dollars down and In edible. Be warned

I ordered wonton noodles but the wonton wrapping was undercooked, can tell by the white dough in middle. Then I got a dumpling noodles for replacement. After eating 2 two of them, I bit half of the 3rd one, I found the meat was raw!! Raw pork! Omg. The owner refused to give me a refund with a very bad attitude and insist to make me once again . I told him I can t keep putting raw food in my mouth. He admitted the dumpling was RAW but don t want to give me money back and pissed off?! Never go back again !
Ordered the wonton soup and it was tasteless, just colored water. Noodles were overcooked and the wontons were the worst, smallest amount of filling, literally a teaspoon yet the dumpling wrapping was enough for 4 dumplings in other restaurants. This dish is quite an embarrassment for a Chinese restaurant. Order anything else but the wonton soup.
Pretty much inedible. Paid $40 for 6 small dumplings and the beef noodle soup. The dumplings were still cold and the noodles were overcooked. Beef was entirely gristle.
It used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the west and end. It used to be packed with people, but now it really doesnt work. The dumplings are really smelly and there is an inexplicable odor. The serving speed is extremely slow and the food is salty. So disappointed. . . It was obviously only about a year ago when it was particularly good. Dont know what happened this year. Its a cash job, always 20 dollars, with no bonus even nights, weekends and holidays furthermore without offer meals even if it is a restaurant. If you wanna eat you have to pay even though you are a staff . Wonderful!! Food: The fried rice I ordered last time was very oily, and the grains of rice were not distinct. It was like eating oily rice, which was not cost-effective. Food: I ordered the fried rice. It s greasy and expensive. You have other good restaurants to choose from West End.
Best dumplings I ve ever had in Brisbane.
Today, my wife and I ordered wonton noodles and braised beef noodles. The broth of the braised beef noodle soup lacked the rich flavor it should have had; it looked like plain beef noodle soup. The noodles were undercooked, making the texture unpleasant. The wontons had a taste reminiscent of the freezer, and even the filling of the soup dumplings had a frozen taste to it! We wont be patronizing that place again; the experience was extremely disappointing!

Very disappointed with the food ordered. The fried rice had no vegetables in it at all and was very oily. The chicken fried noddle was like a noodle soup .. mo vegetables or chicken to be found The Xiao Long Bao were tasteless and pork not cooked . The wrap was doughy.
Very slow service. Beef and onion dumplings were really good. But I had sizzling beef and garlic for mains and it was the worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant . I have no idea what was in the sauce but it was inedible, I got the other people at my table to try the sauce and they all agreed there was something wrong with it. It was like a chemical taste ,we did let the waiter know and he apologized but that was all . Never going back.

Very delicious dumplings and steamed buns, feels like home! The taste is quite Northeastern, but the fried dumplings are a little salty, but it does not affect the taste; I will come again next time!

Our dinner here was the most bland food Ive had in West End, really disappointing. I ordered the BBQ pork with vegetables and noodles. When it arrived the pork had no flavour and Im convinced the broth with the noodles was just water with a bit of salt. There were two small pieces of unseasoned broccoli and no other vegetables.
Great value for money and delicious food. Will definitely be back for lunch or dinner!

I have been here many times, but the latest time I went, the food was nowhere near as good and the service was quite poor even though the restaurant was empty it s a shame that a good place has become the complete opposite in 6 months and the food was not worth the price they charge.
If you re thinking about eating here, think again, possibly the worst food I ve ever eaten in my life. 1/3 container for portion size, a lack of taste and cold food disgusting they should closed down.
Absolutely terrible, dumplings were reheated from frozen, everything was made with the most minimal effort. Even the table vinegar has been diluted with water

Extremely poor experience The price of large portion dumplings in this restaurant is 12.8 (12 pieces), and the price of small portion dumplings is 9.8 (6 pieces). I originally wanted to order a large portion pork chives dumplings but I asked the stuff if I could change half of them to beef onion. He said no problem, but when I paid my bill, I was supposed to pay 12.8 for a meal of 12 pieces dumplings, but I finally paid 19.6, Because he charged me two small portion dumplings, Maybe I didnt say clearly enough at the beginning when I ordered, but the stuff also had half of the responsibility, because he misunderstood me and said yes immediately. But what I really feel bad about is that they not only dont apologise at all, but also have a bad attitude and directly say that its my own problem, no smile, no sorry, no any positive responses, and wont refund the money and then leave me aside to do their business, which is very disappointing and terrible, really don t recommend this place!!!
Stream dumpling is delicious, and will try the fry pan next time. The noodle is generally tasty, but have some room for improvement.
Under/uncooked pork. Not even trying to apologize for it. Served uncooked pork dishes to most of customers in the store not even trying to do something about it. I m so frustrated, i had to vomit so many times to get rid of raw meat in my stomach i didn t even realised it was undercooked or even uncooked till the other customers told the server. My gosh i had to pay more than 40$ and throw up all night. My partner vomited as well. I wouldn t be worried about it if it s not pork. I study human body and medicine i was so worried about the fact that i can get parasite from it i really hope other customers did too for their health.
The pork soup dumplings were RAW. My boyfriend and I ate one each before we discovered the raw meat. When we brought it up with the staff he said you can t eat half and then decide not to pay, shrugged it off and charged us in full. Won t return and don t recommend Food

Booked an Eat Club deal that needs to be paid via Apple Pay. Store allowed customers to book and then insisted they pay cash or direct transfer to the owner. Saw many customers come in and need to leave to withdraw cash. Very frustrating as this seemed an every day occurrence. Food serves were small. Won t return.

THE.WORST.RESTAURANT.EVER MUST READ! Dumplings were RAW! Asked the staff if I could get a refund for it and he went to the back to talk about it to the owner who was the rudest person with no shame, guilt or respect. He came out and looked at me up and down and made a disgusted face right INFRONT of me. They assumed I wanted another replacement but all I asked for was a refund and they even refused to give that, yet they answered we are already cooking another one, so you have to pay . Absolutely disgusted. I hope this place gets shut down for good. If you don t know how to run a business then DON T open one!

If only you could rate below average instead of 1star. Poor poor effort, ordered Uber eats, missing most items and food was below average. Rang restaurant spoke to a employee who didn t know what they were doing, couldn t find the order only to conveniently find the order to be told that they can t make the food as they don t have it right now. Will never go back or order from this below average food service provider I would not call it a restaurant. Below it asks what dishes you recommend, I would have to say none cause we didn t get them.
I wish this could be a minus 1. Ordered by uber eats. Did not receive what I ordered, received less actually, dishes missing. Called them, they said, well we dont have that right now. I said ok, so where do we go from here. She said sorry, nothing I can do about it. I said, so I should give you a bad review then? She never answered and never hung up the phone, one can only hope she left me hanging to place orders to replenish stock for other hopeful customers. Below it will ask what dishes you recommend, cant answer that because we didnt get them.

Bao was OK but a bit plain - dumplings came out steamed, not fried (as ordered). The nice chap was apologetic, though.
I love the salt and pepper tofu and the vege dumplings! Sucks to see people have been served raw meat.. .but idk maybe stop eating meat and youll be fine :) cant wait to try other dishes

Staff were lovely. Soup dumplings flavourless and meat inside was mushy and definitely no soup-iness at all. 0 stars for that dish. Dish of combination dumplings were very below average in taste. We were offered boiled or pan fried and we chose boiled. Duck pancakes were good. stirfried beans and eggplant was nice but need to eat with rice as the sauce is very overpowering. Will not come back.
Went for lunch today after the gym. Had the vegetable spring rolls and the vegetable fried rice. They were both delicious and non oily. The service was great (I think he was the owner), great price, great food, will be going back again very soon.
Visited for a late lunch today, got to chat to the owner - all dumplings are made fresh onsite, daily. Spring rolls were crispy, fresh and cooked perfectly. The lady on an adjacent table had the vegetable dumplings and 15 minutes later, she was ordering another round of the same dumplings so they must have been as good as my spring rolls. Owner was extremely reasonable, down to earth, with a diligent outlook. I wish we had more businesses like this in West End.

Fell into this delightful place for lunch today. The dumplings were fabulous, had the eggplant and the vegetarian along with the cucumber and garlic so delicious. Wish I lived here it would become a favourite haunt.
The dumpling texture was terrible. The pastry was sandy. (Pork and chive) The filling was like mush. Felt like eating plain dough on flavoured plain dough. Cummings Lamb however was decent enough for 2 stars. Hope you guys improve as I love dumplings. Please become the Dumpling King as I am The Dumpling EATING KING!

I don t usually leave reviews, but this place was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon whilst looking for lunch. I ordered pork and chive dumplings, as well as the Xiaolongbao. They came out in their bamboo baskets, well presented, and most importantly, they tasted great. They had a great amount of filling and the authenticity was spectacular. It s safe to say I ll be back.

This place is amazing. The owner goes out of his way to make you feel welcome! We weren t sure what to order as the whole menu sounded delicious, and the owner helped us decide. We were too busy enjoying the food to take photos but will definitely do so next time we re there. The food is freshly made on-site every day and we can t wait to go back.
Bloody awesome place. Very unassuming, but everything they put on our table was absolutely awesome. Everything was super fresh and hand made. Waiter was a bloody good host too. Props to the team. Will be back again!

We visited Dumpling King for lunch and ate the BEST in house made dumplings, as far as I m aware there is nothing similar in Brisbane. The owner was so friendly and it was a great atmosphere- we can t wait to get back to Brisbane and try more of the menu. Highly recommend - especially if you re a dumpling lover like myself!!

Authentic Chinese dumplings and cuisine. I had the Wonton Noodle Soup with hand stretched noodles. It was fantastic. We also had pan fried pork and chive dumplings, which were delicious. Staff were friendly and welcoming, they provided some suggestions and descriptions which were helpful. We will come back MANY times.
Their dumplings are really great! One of the best dumplings we ever had in Brisbane. The noodles are really nice too, feels like a warm hug this cold winter. Also, the prices are reasonable, not overpriced.

Top racist in the world, I sat and waited for 55 minutes and they didnt give me food but they were serving other people.
Not bad. Dumplings and buns were good. Nothing to rave about, but for the price, it was great.
Came based on recommendations from Google reviews but was sorely disappointed. The xiao long bao were really bad. The meat was over processed like a meatball and inside very thick, soggy skin with little to no soup inside them either. Same outcome could be achieved by putting frozen store bought XLB in a steamer. I also ordered spicy tofu but the sauce was just extremely weird, it was very sweet and had no spice at all. The only thing I liked about the place was the sizzling beef but it was honestly mediocre at best. The staff were also inattentive and needed to be told more than once to add on rice. For all of the above + two drinks cost me 65 dollars.

Went there and all the customers were gone. I waited for more than an hour for a few dumplings and spring rolls. The key point was that they were terrible. There were no shrimps in the shrimp-filled dumplings and the pork-filled dumplings had a weird smell to them. If it wasnt for the lowest 1 star, I wouldnt even want to give it to you. Go to the supermarket and buy a dumpling and cook it yourself. Its a hundred times better than yours. Oh my god.
This restaurant make me sick, I can not believe the awful dumplings and other sides which wasting us for one hour. I don t know why other customers came later than us, but our food came so late until no one dining here and the cook attitude was so bad!!Racialist!!! We went here based on reviews and were sadly a bit disappointed. I don t know if we caught them on a bad day or we ordered the wrong thing but these were far from the best dumplings we ve ever had. Not bad, but not great great. The San Choy Bow was strange the Pork Bao Buns were ok but still didn t taste how I would expect, and although the hand pulled noodles were good the wontons in the wonton noodle soup were rather peculiar and my son (who LOVES wonton noodle soup) didn t want to eat them. We also got the pork and chive dumplings maybe we should ve gotten steamed instead of pan fried they were ok but nothing spectacular and I m confused that people on here are saying they re the best they ve ever had
These are some of the best dumplings I ve found. Really authentic, fresh, good quality ingredients. Absolutely delish balance of flavors. Chili oil ready to go on your table. I ve been three times now and been impressed each time
We had dumplings delivered. I wouldn t recommend getting delivery. The dumplings were delivered in plastic containers with no steam holes. By the time they got to us (we live nearby), they were over cooked and slimy. Soup dumplings had no soup in them. Prawn Har Gow were really nice though.

What a find! We stumbled across this new gem whilst looking to fill the Friday night dumpling cravings. Really beautiful place and all hand made dumplings and noodles! We even got to meet the owners who are really passionate about what they do. My favourite was the Beef and Onion pan fried Dumplings. Looking forward to being a regular here!
