Ordered the combination for 2, salad and lemon potatoes (plus drinks). The mains although plentiful was lacking, service was attentive.

We were a group booking and everyone got their meal except me. I was having char grilled prawns, not a dish that should take THAT long to cook. I didnt get my meal until the rest of the group was almost finished. We followed up a number of times where they said the prawns were almost on the grill. Not really good enough. Disappointing actually. They didnt want to entertain any sort of compensation but eventually they did. I wont be rushing back.

I cant believe Ive only been back three times in 10 years... Only marked down the service a bit as it was a busy Friday night and there was an error in the order but it was resolved quickly, so I might be being harsh... Food

Nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. Not overly impressed with the food though. I had the mussels which were overcooked and a very small portion. The Greek salad did not resemble a Greek salad with few ingredients hidden under alot of rocket? The lamb souvlaki was rather chewy and a bit on the cold side. The others seemed very happy with their yiros though.

Proper authentic Greek food, better than anything I have had in Melbourne (and Ive been to quite a few). We came back again after a break when the food went downhill a bit. The food here is excellent once again. We had the baby octopus (excellent), and the baked lemon chicken, (also very good indeed). Just a suggestion - order the village salad, NOT the Greek salad. Its the authentic one. Consistency seems to be a real issue with so many restaurants in Brisbane. Its the core of their continuing success, but so many are all over the shop. Came back again today after 5 months. The food is still good. We had sardines, baby octopus, Greek salad and chicken yiros. The food was quite a bit saltier than last time, perhaps a different cook today. The Greek salad and sardines were both so salty so as to border on unpleasant. Anna we came back again after another 5 months. This time the food was excellent. We had chicken yiros, saganaki and char baby octopus. Absolutely delicious, and very generous serves. Back to their best - the best Greek food weve had in Australia, easy.

Great experience. We didnt have a booking, but we were able to get a table, and thank goodness! The food was incredible and even left enough room for dessert, which was worth it. Thanks for making our last night in Brisbane so memorable!

It used to be my favourite Greek restaurant, it isnt any more. Last time we ordered chicken and lamb souvla. The lamb was awfully dry, and lack of taste same as the lemon potatoes. Saganaki was okay as well as the 5 dip combo.

This is our third time we have visited here, the food is so amazing, but the service is terrible and the wait time for food was quite poor. Every time we have gone for dinner, there has been something that has gone wrong. The first time, they forgot 2 peoples meals out of 6 of us, so myself and my partner sat waiting for 45 minutes whilst everyone else had finished, but they never actually came despite reminding them twice, so we had to wait for them to make it at 830pm. They were very apologetic though. The second time we came back, one of us only ordered an entrees as they wernt hungry, but asked to make it as a main so we all got our meals at the same time. She got her entree after an hour, but we were waiting for another 45 minutes for our food. We reminded them 3 times that we were happy for all the food to come out, but it took over an hour. The third time, which was last week, we ordered our food, waited an hour and a half. Once we finally got it, one persons meal never came. We reminded them again and it took them 40 minutes to make it. Its amazing food but really frustrating that every time we go, there is ab issue. I think we would go back but not if we are starving! Lol

We have been going to Lefkas for many years. Its always served really high quality Greek food with a lovely homemade feel about it. Ive been stuck on their cabbage roles and lemon potatoes for a while as they are so delicious, as are their gyros, meatballs, spanakopita etc. Always big servings and value for money.

The take-out yiro, both meat and vegetable, is delicious. Dine-in is much more expensive than take-out, take-out costs 20-40 RMB per person, and dine-in costs 40-60 RMB per person. If you dine-in, don t sit outside the door at night, as the food will get cold instantly on a windy day.

Wow, a great dining experience. Perfect menu, the service was spot on. Atmosphere fantastic it was busy, not too noisy, but authentic. Really do recommend this restaurant for lovers of traditional Greek food. The wine the waiter chose was incredible.

Had take out. Always very busy. Best to call ahead to get take out. For dine in booking is a must. There is a regular bus that stops at the venue and its also walking distance from West End CityCat stop (up hill walk there but worth it). This place is iconic West End.

Weve been coming to Lefkas for 20 odd years and love it. The only thing we dont love is the lack of parking. Everything else is fantastic.

First time dining at a authentic Greek restaurant and I am not disappointed. Me and my gf had the legendary platter that had a combination of different meats. We also got greek salad and some chip which we both pretty good but the meat was to die for.. it came with tzatziki dip which was also delicious and the pita bread was hot and freshly made.. overall I definitely recommend if your after some authentic Greek dishes.. GREAT JOB

Only tried this place the other week. Glad I did. Lovely people and service! Place is always busy has great atmosphere. Felt like I was on Lonsdale st or High st Northcote in Melbourne. We had the combination platter and chicken souvlaki (they ran out of lamb, lol) and Greek salad for dinner. Meat and sea food on offer were nicely done. Chicken infused in char hola flavour. Calamari isn t the real calamari you get at Mosconi or Bianca. It s a great place to get a take away Giro, like in Rome, you pay half the price if you stand and walk away then if you dine in. A little tip that was shared with us by two locals when we first discovered the place. The take away Giro is amazing and can be enjoyed just by the river down the road. Happy eating.

Lefkas is one our favourites - the food is always incredible and the cocktail list is lovely too. Its so popular though that I sometimes find dinner service can be a little slow, with wait staff thinly stretched.

EXCEPTIONAL. After hearing nothing but rave reviews from friends about Lefkas Taverna, we booked in for lunch on Saturday. The whole dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The vibes were great, the staff were attentive but not intrusive and as far to say as warm. They were just a delight on every interaction. With Greek cuisine being my favourite, I was exceptionally excited to visit Lefkas. And was not let down at all. The menu is diverse and the food was incredible! The zucchini and feta balls, dang! So so good! We had about 7 dishes and they were all incredible. Excited at the thought of returning. True, genuine, high quality Greek food for the win. Thank you so much :)

Beautifully delicious food and friendly staff. The Italian waitress was delightful in helping us pick from the menu to satisfy some hungry women. The cutlets, halloumi, lemon potatoes - cooked to perfection! The Ouzo was a lovely way to finish it off Also the outside heating was perfection on a cold winters night. Parking: May need to walk up to the restaurant but free street parking available.

I love Greek food and always look for great Hellenistic cuisine. This was very disappointing This was the worst Greek food I have ever eaten and I have been a fan of this food for more than forty years. . I ordered the psari. It was cooked very hard and lacked flavour. It was tough. The lemon potatoes were too salty. The salad was good as were the entrees. The meals of my associates were fine. I guess fish is not one of Leftkas signature dishes.

Done in for 4. Huge servings and the combination platter for 2 and several dips plus a serving of potatoes was more than enough. Table service was great to start but as things got busy this slackened off some and we had difficulty ordering more drinks but this was not a huge issue. Food was full of flavour, the octopus was ridiculously good and the calamari was very tender. No room for dessert which tells you how good the serving sizes were.

Lefkas Taverna is the place to go for greek home-made meals with high-quality ingredients. The Stifado is highly reccommended for those seeking a gluten free option or slow cooked stew for the winter season :) Food

Great atmosphere and staff , however I was really dissapointed with my spanakopita main . I was expecting lovely flakey light fillo and a light spinach and cheese filling . Unfortunately the pastry was stodgy ( more like undercooked puff) and so was the filling . I felt it had been reheated in a microwave . So disappointing .

Lovely busy atmosphere & I would highly recommend eating here. I had Pasticho (Best greek salad ever! Coming from one who rarely likes salad and the lemon potatoes were so good) Daughters had Souvlaki, & Souvla all 10/10. Great sized portions. Left feeling quite full. Obviously, desserts were take away I would definitely come back here with family & friends. I wish we had this in Ipswich.

I have tried all yiros here at Lefkas. Chicken, lamb and pork. There is so much salt and garlic on the meat that you can barely taste any difference of the meat. Ive had to return the food for being too salty previously. Tried again tonight. Could not finish the food. Too salty

Leftkas has always been my favourite Greek restaurant in Brisbane. Seriously epic authentic Greek food and suck a wonderful experience to enjoy with friends and family. If only every restaurant could take a leaf out of this place well we would always be happy. Be sure to visit when in Brisbane. Wow. Arrived half hour early, no problem though. Staff were very good ensuring we had a drink quickly, and our order was taken quickly too. Placing the order, our waitress suggested not ordering the salad as there would be plenty supplied with the meals we ordered. A nice touch, and she was 100% correct, considering what we ordered. We had the combination dips, which were superb, and very generous. My partner had the Moussaka, which she loved, and I had the stuffed capsicum which was delicious. Lovely service, noisy vibrant atmosphere and not at all expensive, just great value for money. Will definitely return. Superb

I finally got around to trying this Greek Restaurant. Ive never eaten at a sit down Greek restaurant before, and I was not disappointed. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was busy, but not hectic or overwhelming. But the main event was the food, of course. My partner had the yiros and I had the quail which was so rich in flavour and juicy. I did find it a little hard to eat as its a gamey bird with lots of bones, but thats the type of meat it is. Its definitely on my list to come back and try some of their other meals.

Incredibly disappointing food. I have been a customer here since 1994 when I was living around the corner in Gray Rd Hill End, first year of uni. Continued to patronise Lefkas throughout the years but since moving away 10 yrs ago have only been a handful of times when in Brisbane. We have a very strong fondness for this place and it has been talked up to our children who we had never actually had the chance to bring until last Thursday night. We booked with great anticipation and excitement to finally share it with them. Very sad then to pay a lot of money for really bad food, with the exception of the calamari which was excellent. The kids told me, mum your Greek beans, your lemon potatoes are so much better. They are right, they are! These lemon potatoes were DRY and therefore lacking in flavour, firm instead of how they should be ie so well-cooked they are starting to disintegrate. And white pepper seemed to be a dominant taste in both the lemon potatoes and the stuffed capsicums. The capsicums were fairly ordinary - stuffed with cous cous with a vaguely tomato flavour. That was it. But the salad that came with the capsicum and the extra salad we ordered - absolutely inedible!! As if kalamata olives and fetta arent salty enough (and too much of those things and not enough of the fresher ingredients like tomato and cucumber to balance out the saltiness), the whole salad had been salted in the kitchen to the point it was inedible!! I like salt but this was a level of saltiness that really warranted us sending the salads back. But we had limited time and who wants to complain at a restaurant where the idea is enjoyment? Having to complain or send food back is really not what customers want to have to do. It was so unpleasant. The restaurant was on its second night opening since the owners had taken a break but we were told there were no mushrooms after we had ordered the mushrooms and haloumi. Seriously? thats just poor form. We ordered the dolmades reluctantly as a substitute. We got 5 (or was it 4?) TINY dolmades for $14. the flavour no better than canned ones and the size most definitely smaller than canned ones. The green beans were on the very small side for the price and mine are better by far and Im not Greek or running a restaurant. The food was very slow to arrive although it was early (5:30) and not busy at all. Not intending to complain about everything (the calamari was great!!) but I liked it in the old days when it felt like a Greek taverna before the expansion next door. The white arches and terracotta tiles have gone but we were so eagerly anticipating the food would still be the same so massively disappointing and most definitely not like the old days. It is so irksome to hand over quite a sum of money for food that is so below standard and poor value. So very sad to say after 40 years of coming here, I wont be back until it changes hands again. Feel free to do the right thing and at least partially refund our meal or offer us a re-visit on the house. That would be genuine integrity and we would take you up on that. EDIT to respond. Sorry for the mis-calculation. Youre right. Ive been a customer for 30 years not 40. Youre really choosing to pick on this mistake instead of responding to anything Ive said about the food itself? And I didnt say I wont complain; I will if i think its warranted! Which it was! $14 for 4 dolmades out a tin.... Why do you need to know who I am or where we sat? Are you going to offer us a refund or credit? I will supply details if so. As for assuming we said nothing upon paying, when asked how was everything, my mum said some of the dishes were very salty and some lacked flavour. We were offered a dessert but declined as we needed to be elsewhere. You want to criticise the length of my review? Which parts should I have left out? You are so defensive. Why dont you take a genuine look at my feedback. Instead of a knee-jerk attack response, you should thank me as reviews are an opportunity to improve!! Dont listen to me, your restaurant is perfect 100% of the time.

The staff are lovely and the meals are always delicious. I can never finish mine so appreciate that they give you a container if you ask for one to take your leftovers home.

The food quality is nothing like it used to be. The yiros was terrible, 4-5 small chunks of ordinary chicken, giant pieces of onion and so much leafy salad mix you have to scrape it out it used to be the best chopped and crispy chicken bits, overflowing from the bread, I will miss you forever. Edit: sounds like I ordered the yiros (online order) and you provided me with the wrong items. So now I m sad for another reason.

Very authentic greek restaurant. We had the spicy dip with pita, the halloumi, the quails and the lamb yiros. Everything was absolutely delicious. The pita is made fresh and overall a banger. The meat dishes were seasoned on point with lots of garlic and herbs. The price is definitely not cheap, but the food and atmosphere is worth it.

Best Greek restaurant that I ve been to in Brisbane. The food, the atmosphere and of course, the staff was just amazing.

All three of the Lamb Souvla were a bit on the tough side and had a lot of bones which was a bit disappointing for slow cooked meat especially since our last time dining here it was tender and delicious, lamb yiros was great. The honey syrup drenched sponge was very dry.

This happened 2 or 3 weeks ago. Went for a pork gyros, waited for half an hour to get the waitress to tell me she forgot to pass the order to the kitchen, then by one hour of waiting the manager comes and tells me he s sorry but they don t have pork. I dont remember the last time I wasted an hour so bad. Poor service.

Went for Saturday lunch. Service was very disappointing and food took a long time to come out. Food was ok tasting but not great. Souvla had a lot of bone but not much meat and left me feeling hungry. Other people at the table complained about how salty their dishes were. We had heard a lot of great things about Lefkas and love our Greek food but sadly it did not live up to the expectations.

Did not take allergens seriously

Authentic and reasonably priced Greek in Brisbane. We were right to start at 5:30 pm. By the time we got the dish, fur place was full of families and other groups of people. We ordered a combination plate. Oh my! The volume was so generous and everything on the plate was seasoned perfectly!!! There is a takeaway counter where we can get skewers or other yummy-looking plates. Definitely a neighbourhood favourite.

Great venue, excellent food and atmosphere

Weve recently moved to Brisbane and this instantly became my familys favorite restaurant. We drive from far away almost every Saturday to dine in because we absolutely love the taste of every single dish we have tried so far. I would recommend it to any person who enjoys fresh, well prepared food. Their setup for big tables is a hit and the live music is a nice touch. Service is friendly and prices are fair. It is usually busy so I strongly advise booking a table and NOT putting your name on the waiting list. Their take-out is insanely busy too. Be patient.

Most authentic taverna in Brisbane, easily amongst the best in Australia. My only constructive criticism, is that the wine & drinks menu is an extremely limited offering of ordinary Australian and Greek options. Glassware ordinary. The food, staff and great venue, deserve better. You should champion Greek beverages - more available by small tasting serve under winesave/argon/coravin etc zero wastage, greater profit. Include a single page of Greek options with decent info on producer, region and style. Some premium options Santorini Assyrtiko, Peloponees Xinamavro etc - wine list is currently in tiny font and difficult to read. No useful info and ltd staff knowledge Pay for a decent Greek bartender/sommelier and you will deliver serious extra $$$$$$ Greek wine, spirits and beer, should be front & center. Even decent retsina.

Fresh, simple very good Greek platters.

Nice Mediterranean setting. Staff is friendly. Food wasnt fresh. Lamb shanks were burnt. price is high for that food quality.

We ordered the moussaka to share. The moussaka was delicious and comes with salad and chips. Service was quick and pleasant. We were seated outside which was a bit dark and breezy.

On recommendation from a friend hubby and I decided to check out Lefkas. Loving authentic Greek food, we were not disappointed. We shared zucchini rolls for starter. I had moussaka with lemon potatoes and salad, hubby had lamb souvla with chips and salad, all delicious and generous portions. We took home some baklava as we were too full for dessert. The staff were amazing Eve, Ella and Carlos made us feel very welcome and served us with ease and total professionalism. We were too early for the traditional evening music session but will return. The food was amazing. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled. The lamb and chicken Souvlaki was exemplary. The Baklava tasted nice but not so much the texture. Food : 5/5

The best Greek in West End! Well known, traditional with excellent service and food their taramasalata and pita is to die for.

A wonderful night at Lefkas. Our original table was undesirable, so the staff went out of their way to organise a better one. The menu has a lot to offer and caters for everyone. The food arrived in great time and it was very tasty overall. The atmosphere was upbeat, lively and energetic. Live music and a packed house. Only complaint was all the food seemed to be very well salted, but that is probably what most people love anyways. This place knows what they are doing, a must for a great night out in West End, Brisbane. Parking: Ample street parking

Incredible Greek food. Done if the best I ve ever had. Bit more expensive than usual but you get what you pay for. Pro tip: get the two person sharing platter - great value compared to other items!! Loved the method beer as well.

Its so hard to find great food and service anywhere these days. What a gem if I could give 10 stars I would. Go see them and find out for yourself. Make sure you book ahead its busy .

A greek restaurant that have a big serving, my favorite is the lemon chicken it taste really good.

We ordered a combination platter, salad and chips. Generous size even for 3 people! Foods were generally a bit salty.

Had a fantastic date night here! We got a 6pm booking which was good timing cause they are super popular. With 2 of us dining we shared a Platter for two which was a lottt of food already but couldnt skip out on trying 2 delicious desserts also. Best Greek food weve had in Brissy. On the more expensive side but with the size of the plates & the flavourful food it was well worth it.

We went for a birthday dinner, everyone was so kind. Foods were great as well, cake fee for 10 dollars and they offered candles, knife and plates. so nice!!

Our favourite Greek restaurant in Brisbane. Food is impeccably delicious with generous portions. Service is perfect. Get the combination platter and you will not be disappointed. This restaurant is always full, especially with large tables of families and friends. Thats why we love it.

Honestly best food since moving to Brisbane a year ago. Growing up with homemade Greek food this place was amazing and so flavoursome. The food wasn t frozen and reheated it was an absolute delight. fresh beautiful food which it was and even got takeaway for the next day. Service was amazing food amazing prices amazing. Love this place. Friends from Sydney want to come up and try it. Thank you to all staff and owner etc.

3.75 - cosy ambiance and attentive staff. We tried the; Manitari - dish is quite salty & there wasnt alot of haloumi unfortunately. Nothing spectacular Moussaka - boasts balanced flavors. Dish was so soft & melts in your mouth. Would highly recommend! Arnaki Sto Fourna - The meat is super tender & gracefully parts from the bone although some parts were gamey. Still enjoyable tho

Delish, great atmosphere with lots of happiness around. The food was amazing. We had some issue with service but I don t think they heard the entree appetizer but it was fine as the portions were large and wasn t on the bill.

Was such a great place to enjoy a great night out. The food was delicious and well priced!!!

Heard mixed reviews about this place but unfortunately the food is terrible! Everything is kept in a bain marie for takeaway and in house service so nothing is fresh and you can tell. The lamb was inedible. We ordered drinks that never came but they tried to charge us for. Witnessed a group trying to use a voucher from a third party website where Lefkas are listed as a participating restrauntant but the owner flat out refused to accept even though they could show it on the website and on their booking which he acknowledged he saw. Went on for ages before the poor guy just gave up cos the owner was so rude. Just a heads up for anyone who might find the place through a third party.. its Def not worth it!

Oh my gosh- so much delicious food. We gathered for our work dinner and chose the $56 pp option- from the entrees to the sweets- was perfecto! Half of our staff had never had Greek food so werent sure but once they tasted it, they were equally as impressed. Communication between John and myself regarding our booking was efficient and a pleasure to deal with as well as the Livy multicultural staff that served us through the night. Will definitely come again- highly recommend!

This place is always packed with a queue waiting for tables. The food size is big and the prices are good. Service is quick and friendly. A bit more seasoning on some of the meals would have made it perfect.
