Great location with a relaxed, pedestrian vibe. Staff were courteous, attentive and professional. Food was a little disappointing, having visited a couple of years earlier. Calamari entree was cooled well but there was too much and the crust coating was dry. The chicken dish, I have had better snitzels at my local tavern. Sadly not exactly value for cost.

3 and a half hours for entre, main, and dessert tested our patience. We ended up taking the dessert as takeaway in the end, and even then, this had to be prompted by us multiple times. The food was tasty, but service was too slow. Especially considering that the restaurant forced a group of 11 to a banquet menu of $55 and limited the whole group to two types of main dishes.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Great venue, its such a real shame this restaurant doesnt meet the minimum standard for service. We arrived for a staff Xmas party to have the $55 banquet at 6pm. By 9:30pm, we had only received 2 of the 3 courses and half our party walked out. Throughout the evening I watched 3 other tables also walk out due to the atrocious service. We spent all night prompting staff to serve us, no one updated us on status of our meal, no apologies were offered until we complained to managers, kitchen was clearly overwhelmed and wait staff had limited skills in waiting. To the owner, Id suggest the following actions: Train your staff in banquet service, specifically- spoons get served with share plates, explain to your staff what the idea behind a share banquet is (they couldnt understand why we were sharing a banquet subtitled sharing plates), updates given when food is running late, drinks and plates cleared between dishes, wait staff ask if would like drinks regularly. Assign staff to monitor food, dont leave it sitting on counter for 30-40 minutes before sent out to tables. Manager to speak with customers when there is a wait for food and provide apologies before customers start complaining. Remove coriander from your menu as a garnish- this is blasphemy is Italian food and should not have been used to garnish the Rigattoni Bolognese or the Salad. Drinks should be delivered within 15 minutes of being ordered from the QR code, bartender should be monitoring this. In the instance (or 3) when a drinks order goes missing, an apology is offered. THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE- Banquets should be finished within 2 hours max, dessert should be served well before the 3.5 hour mark. We will NOT be back to this restaurant, and we will not be recommending it to anyone in any of our corporations branches throughout Brisbane.

Amazing food cannot fault anything other than the service! We had a table booked for 8pm and on arrival the table wasn t ready so we waited patiently, however we then waited 20 minutes until we had to ask a waitress to come over and take our order. Due to all the delays we didn t even have a chance to order any desert and our entrees and mains were bought out at the same time (even though we wanted a bit of time for the courses to go down) everything felt rushed. This meal was for a 30th birthday for two people, which was explained on the booking hoping for the evening and service to be one to remember and unfortunately it isn t for the good reasons. Again like I said food amazing but very disheartened at the whole experience.

The atmosphere here was nice, and nothing else bad but not great, either. Service was friendly but fairly slow (it took quite a while to get our food.) we had a pizza and pasta. The pizza wasnt bad, but looked better than it tasted. The pasta seemed to have been re-warmed and was somewhat bland. There is convenient underground parking. If you need to meet someone for a meal this is probably okay, but you can do better, too. (I might also note their are ice cream and other shops nearby, so you can go elsewhere for dessert if you want.)

Atmosphere is great, however lacking with service, staff had no knowledge of the wine list, the food lacked flavour and meals where inconsistent. More of a simple chain Italian restaurant. We all left dissapointed and hungry. Service and trying to remedy the night was even worse, dissapointing and staff clearly lacked training.

After we got a table we were completely ignored. When we asked a waitress about it, we were told that we were not in the area. Then they just left.

The service from some of the staff was very poor. Considering we were there at 2pm, and it was not a busy time. Only to be met by a staff member who told us how busy they had been. Which didnt make up for the lack of service we received, even when we tried to pay the girl just walked away. One young girl apologised and served us. Not sure how some keep their jobs. On the positive side the food was very good. This being the only reason I would go back.

I ve been all around the world many times and I ve been to all the Continents. I come from class as my father was at United Nations and my Mother was at Parliament House. Long story short my parents had members of the Royal Family stay at their guest house. I m qualified to say this place is disgusting. The calamari was tough and my dish was missing ingredients. The food was vile. The owner needs to wake up and the staff. The service is below average. I hope the owner replies otherwise is just says a lot about the owner or owners. This place doesn t deserve a star. Again disgusting and abhorrent. The staff should be sacked.

Phillip was amazing! We got some great cocktails, and the staff were all fantastic.

This stunning spot is taking brunch to the next level with their amazing bottomless cocktail brunch for just $70pp on the weekends. We had the best time rolling out after a feast like this. The highlight was definitely the truffle pizza & woodfired cheese bread for us - sooo flavourful and delish! Highly recommend adding an extra $5pp for a big bowl of tiramisu to end the meal on a sweet note.

Delicious food, o try the prosciutto pizza and was very good for the price and my miss ordered a Bolognese and was very good as well. I recommend the place. Excellent service

My family and I had a great time at Italian Street Kitchen. The atmosphere and service were fantastic! We ve visited at least four times, and the food is always delicious and plentiful. Special mention to Felipe, who took care of every detail to make us feel at home. We ll definitely come back!

Sunday evening dinner with family, Italian Street Kitchen was a great place to meet for some delicious Italian food. The atmosphere was busy but inviting and we had great service particularly from Leiley (sorry if speller wrong !) who was very accommodating looking after the kids and also giving us advice on the menu. Food was not slow at all for a busy night, the staff even kept us up to date with how long it would be and server is well with drinks. Easy parking. Would return, so much on the menu we would have liked to try and all our dishes were very good.

I ve been a fan of Italian street kitchen for years. But the last two times the service has been diabolically slow. We waited an hour before food was served and the drinks were so slow we cancelled the order. Did they change ownership? Food is still great though.

This place was great. We were late for our booking but rang and they were so accommodating. Our orders were taken quick and the food came put very quick. We had 3 pizzas, aranhini balls and the carbonara balls. Drinks, bottles of red and white and finished with espresso Martinis. Everything was perfect

Stumbled into this lovely place with my Italian friend. Well, she said it was one of the best pizzas outside Italy so Id say the guys are doing well. We had $12 Negronis, the place was packed and everyone seemed very content. The restaurant is stylish and welcoming. Some staff are very young and hopefully learn in the job. Hospitality in Italy is a valued skill making dining out fun. Italian kitchen can get there too. Location is great.

Lovely atmosphere, however staff are inattentive. Food and cocktails were very average. Pizza toppings were tasty, but bases were soggy and undercooked. Calamari fritti was tender and crumb was crispy. Pasta was bland and just tasted like cream and cheese. Expensive for the quality of food. Won t be returning.

We had a lunch here mid week during the school holidays. It was busy but not packed. The staff were friendly enough but quite inefficient. There is a QR code option to order but we need to speak to a human to clarify dietary requirements which I think is what made the ordering even slower, once we had ordered, drinks sat on the bar waiting for the waitress to bring them to us for quite some time (almost 10 minutes). The lunch special is good value & the food delicious, really the only thing lacking was the service. Meals were bought out at different intervals so half the table had food & the rest did not. We were basically done & had called for the bill when the waitress asks if we had received the ice cream that goes with the kids meals - we had not. I would give them another go simply because the meals we had were very delicious but I would make sure I had heaps of time as lunch took over two hours from start to finish.

We made a booking online as this place is usually pretty busy. Lively atmosphere and delicious Diavola pizza!!! We were served by Leile whose service was perfect. Very friendly and helpful. I wish more restaurants in Brisbane had staff like her around Great food. Great service.

Went to this place yesterday (Friday evening) at around 7 pm. The restaurant was half capacity (at least 6 empty tables). We waited for a couple of minutes for a host but none came so we sat in a table until a waiter came to tell us there were someone sitting here before you? We said no and then he just continued we are full today, all the tables are booked . Didn t even try to accomodate us or asked someone else if there was another table. Btw the table didn t have a reserved sign or anything. I understand the place can be fully booked (even if it didn t look like it was) but this costumer service just invites me to never come back. Way much better places in the area with better staff.

leili was the best! We did have to wait a little on the drinks per round (bottomless brunch, pretty sure some RSA laws) but Leili was the best and the food was amazing!! Catered to my allergies so well! (Dairy and soy)

Where to begin I suppose we should start with the reception we received. Abysmal. Upon arrival I enquired about the reservation made for me and my beautiful date. With a look of disdain, the host nodded to the nearest table and said There, I guess . I am a very reasonable person and so took no mind to this rather dismissive and frankly rude interaction, pulling out the seat for my companion before seating myself. Upon some brief deliberation we decided on two pasta dishes. This was easily the worst decision I have made in a good while and I have made some real doosies. Honestly? The feral cat on my street would have turned it s nose up at the bolognese pasta. We struggled through the first few bites while the incessant dinging of the service bell rang out across the bleak venue. I opted for an evening inside when booking to avoid any chill due to a later booking. How disappointed I was to find that the location could barely offer a roof over our heads. The wait staff came to clear our plates as we were still struggling down the pasta asking if we would like to order a dessert. A firm No thank you came the response. I have spared the details regarding the SAD $18 salad. At a bar a few hours later a gentleman sat next to us defecated in his pants which was only the second least pleasant experience of the night. If I could rate this establishment 0/5 I assure you I would eagerly do so. I will be actively telling my friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances to avoid even considering a meal at this eatery, especially if they would like to avoid the food poisoning and extended visit to the wash closet experienced the following day. Dietary restrictions: If you have a pallet and a digestive system avoid this restaurant.

My partner and I went to the Italian Street Kitchen last night after hanging about in West End. We were seated promptly (without reservation). The Barramundi was delicious (the last two times we d been it was sold out)! Our waiter Jun was absolutely fantastic and catered to our every need.

Been before. Average meals but good for a simple dinner/lunch. Tried to book for a large group and was told we did not have to pick a set menu (the set menu is very unappealing and our children will not eat what is on it so it is a waste per head). Was then later told we must pick a set menu. Cancelled the booking as this is just silly. Not sure why you d choose to throw away business, particularly the amount we would have paid as a large group. Your loss.

We enjoyed our dinner on a Thursday evening. The pizza was really good, but dont forget to ask for the chilli oil. The service was attentive and we had our food and drink really quick. We felt a little stressed to leave when the bill was brought directly after we finished eating, even though the restaurant was not even half full.

Unfortunately we were served a clam filled with mud sand and the grit went though the dish. When presented to the staff the young ones giggled and the manager did not approach us to explain why this happened. The young waitress stated it happens every now and then. Well that is why you have chefs and their back up to ensure quality control of all ingredients coming into the kitchen is maintained .... unfortunately the attitude and the perspective of the establishment is not on delivering pristine ingredients to the plate. if it was they would achieve it. Then mud sand filled seafood would never get through their quality control. Never .... it ruined our evening. It was a terrible experience to go through and because of this I cannot recommend in case it happens again to others

THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. ordered spaghetti and pizza for myself and my son, and when I asked a server if they had plain spaghetti, he seemed to misunderstand and reacted inappropriately by making faces (which is understandable you can absolutely make faces when you dont understand what a customer s saying lol) Later, while I was paying (my 3 year old son was still at the table btw), another male server started cleaning our table even though we hadn t finished. I noticed him placing used napkins on plates with leftover food. When I pointed out that we weren t done, he simply said oh sorry and returned the napkins to the table, which felt disrespectful. He walked away saying here you go after putting the used napkins back on the table. are you seriously asking us to eat that? would you???? feeling super frustrated and unsatisfied.

A wonderful restaurant and very clean food. The best thing about this restaurant is the good reception, especially ( Felipe ) , the manager who is responsible for the customers and taking them to their tables. He is a truly respectable person and understands his work very much, and his treatment is very sophisticated. I advise everyone to go to this restaurant and taste its delicious food.

The Good: + The Italian Sausage pizza was not bad. The pizza base was an improvement from last time and the italian sausage on it had lots of good flavors and the incorporation of the chili was a nice addition + The Love for Lychee mocktail was great tasting. It was very refreshing and not too sweet + Lamb Ragu Casarecce was very well done. The lamb itself was top notch, sauce had a decent consistency and texture + The gnocchi in the Gnocchi Napoli had a nice texture and the napoli sauce was excellent with good consistency + Beetroot Salad was refreshing The Bad: . The Italian Sausage pizza was still somewhat dull and lacking in flavor . As good as the italian sausage itself was, next time include more of it on the pizza . The portions for the Lamb Ragu Casarecce and the Gnocchi Napoli were rather small. For the price that one pays for both, the portion sizes should be bigger . Portion size for the Beetroot Salad wasnt any better and for the price one pays, overall still not worth it The UGLY: - Service was just downright awful, easily the biggest let down. Had to wait for an hour just so the food and drinks could arrive. However, the restaurant was busy but that doesnt entirely excuse that the waiting time was beyond unacceptable - The Seafood Fregola pasta wasnt worth it. Way too fishy, effectively overpowering all other flavors involved - The waiting staff could have done a better job, not very friendly and attentive - Overall value for money was simply not worth it. Could have gone to a different italian restaurant and have something similar for much better value and quality Summary: There were some things to like in terms of the drinks and the quality of the pizzas. But the biggest disappointment was the absolutely appalling customer service and how the waiting time took one hour. Would highly recommend to not go to this restaurant

Asia welcomed us and made sure to make us feel special by wishing us a happy wedding anniversary when we arrived just before showing us to our table. Well be back again soon. Terrible service waxing 1.5 hours for food and food very average for the price, no porchetta or even Peroni available on a Sunday evening. Centralised toilets for precinct were disgusting with only 1 sink working. Will not be going back ever again.

The food was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend getting the lunch package it s perfect for sharing with friends and such a great deal. The ambiance was lovely, and the staff treated us exceptionally well. Dont miss out on trying their tiramisu its fantastic! Loved it.

Atmosphere is nice, although tables could be larger especially for hosting 4 people. Food is surprisingly less than average, Quality and quantity wise. But the service is below any standard.. uttermost poorly trained, very young staff members, pretty sad. We will not come back

Great vibes, good food and very friendly staff

Our first time eating at ISK for everyone in our group of 6. I may return though not to get any of the pastas on the lunch menu. We all ordered an entrée and main which was $29 each including a drink. The calamari was excellent, the Arancini ok...the tomato flavour was over powering. If there was a star rating for price Id give it 5 stars, so no complaint re value for money. The issue was that No one liked the plate of pasta with a smear of sauce. Just way too much pasta. If Id known I would have asked for half pasta with the same amount of sauce...or just ordered the steak. Also our waitress who had poor English led us astray saying we could only order off the lunch menu. I would have sent them a private msg instead of a public review however there is no email contact option on their website.

I had the pumpkin ravioli in burnt butter, which was average and overpriced . Service was exceptional, staff were friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere is why we went the whole area is enchanting.

Hi, I dined there today and the experience was poor. Received the incorrect pizza. Also when I received the bill I was charged $46 for 2 glasses of wine. On the menu it was $15 per glass. Was told by the staff that they gave us large glasses of wine even though the menu did not state that price. Could of paid for a bottle of wine. Will not be back. Poor service. The food was not bad

Waited on the door to be seated for couple minutes while the waiter having a friendly conversation with someone. So deduced to just get a table and order online: no one check on me until they saw my order. And than a manager came and asked if everything was ok and if I needed a water. Do not recommend truffle pasta. Would not come back.

I booked the Italian Kitchen to celebrate my very special birthday with my immediate family. We were all disappointed with the service, our waitress seemed overwhelmed . No one checked on us. We waited 1.5 hours for our food. Our booking was at 6.30 we did not get our meal until 8 pm. The meals when they finally came were delicious. My two grandsons had to wait even longer for theirs. This spoiled an otherwise enjoyable occasion. To be fair there had been a huge Tech outage maybe that was the problem. A place to avoid at all costs and here is why: -When we arrived and sat down, the waitress informed us that pizza was unavailable due to no dough.. on a Friday night. So we ordered pasta -1.5 hours for our mains to be delivered. During that time, we asked the waitress about our food which she implied 3 mins, more like 20 minutes. -under-staffed and several new waitress. -They forgot our drink orders - they didnt bring water on the tables after having to ask after 30 minutes. - worst of all, a table of 15 behind us got delivered 10 + pizzas closing the night. The manager informed us that the dough delivery came later. Funny, youd think they would atleast inform us? - We asked to speak to the manager, who was defensive and you can tell she really struggled to say sorry. Embarrassing - all she offered to cover was the drinks.. a couple of soft drinks. Overall, one of the worst expierences in sometime. How they got a prime location at west village is a mystery. Put any other decent italian like Julius or Gemelis and it would be 100% better. Do not be distracted by the facade.

Absolutely horrible service. The waiters dont care about you and make you wait 30 minutes just for drinks. How does an Italian restaurant run out of pizza dough? Did you run out of water or flour? Theres a woolworths 20m from your store. Never going again.

Excellent service and food came out hot and quick!! Pizza base was perfectly thin without being soggy, pasta cooked to al dente, and the chilli oil on the side was fantastic! My friends and I recently dined at this place and had a really bad experience. The vibe and service were good, and the wine selection was great. The beetroot salad and Diavola pizza were the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the arancini was cold in the middle, which was a letdown. The lamb wagyu pasta tasted burnt and had an overpowering smell, making it hard to enjoy. The seafood risotto didn t impress either, lacking the freshness and punch youd hope for. The attached photo shows our table after we finished our meal with most of the plates still full, reflecting our experience.

I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience at the Italian Street Kitchen. My mother, who travelled hours from a rural town to visit me and had to drive home that night, chose this restaurant based on its positive reviews. Unfortunately, she left deeply upset. The disorganisation and lack of attention from the staff were appalling. We waited two hours for our mains, which is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone a highly regarded one. Watching tables surrounding yours, who arrived much later, receive their food was insulting and a blatant disregard for my mother s time. Despite our patience, the staff completely dismissed our concerns about the excessive wait time. There was no apology, no explanation, nothing. Basic hospitality dictates that delays should be acknowledged and apologised for, yet we received neither. This lack of courtesy and professionalism ruined what should have been a special evening. My mother left deflated, and her night was entirely ruined. This experience was an absolute disgrace. I hope they address these issues to prevent future customers from having a similar experience.

We booked a table for 8 at 6:45 pm, but unfortunately, our experience at Italian Kitchen was disappointing. Despite arriving on time, we waited a considerable amount of time for a staff member to take our drink and entree orders. After finishing our entrees, we waited nearly 40 minutes for someone to take our main course orders, despite multiple staff members clearing our plates and emptying glasses. When we finally placed our main orders, it took over an hour to receive our dishes, with no apology or explanation. When we inquired about the delay, a waitress told us to wait five more minutes, and acted dismissive of our concerns and complaints. In reality, it took nearly two hours from our arrival at 6:45 pm to receiving our food just before 9 pm. There was no apology or compensation, but rude and dismissive staff who made this exciting family reunion into a bitter one. This was especially heartbreaking because my family had traveled from a rural area to celebrate my fathers 60th birthday and our family reunion at this restaurant. My parents had to drive over two hours back home, feeling disappointed and saddened by the lack of care and attention from the restaurant. While the beef cheek ragu was delicious, the pizzas were extremely bland, with rubbery cheese and a hard-to-bite crust. The overall poor service and lack of any apology or compensation for the delays left us with a bitter memory of what was supposed to be a special evening. I hope the management addresses these issues to prevent other families from experiencing the same disappointment.

We ordered the tortellini Carbonara on a weekday and they were amazing then we ordered the same thing on a weekend and the same dish was totally different, no care was taken this time, no Parmesan cheese was in the dish and the tortellini themselves were hard as a rock. So my advice if getting something to go, do it on a weekday!! We had the calamari fritti which were very nice, I guess you can t muck up a fried dish. Unfortunately I will not be going back as even after I called to complain about the pasta dish, it was a bad luck sort of reply. Very disappointed as they are our local Italian restaurant.

Booking for 1pm Saturday, time allowed 90 minutes for dining . Unfortunately we waited 1.5 hours to get our food . Ambience is great . Suggestion to have matre de to manage staff service . The olives were warm to enjoy with our wine whilst we waited . The two pastas and salad was lovely however the experience too away the joy of the food . Thankfully I had good company. My husband and I enjoyed a delightful sunny lunch outdoors. Our experience was made even more memorable by a friendly gentleman named Felipe, who warmly engaged us in conversation after hearing us speak Spanish. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and were already looking forward to returning to sample more of the pizza menu.

Our experience at the restaurant was unfortunately disappointing. We ordered a pineapple pizza and a tortellini at 8 pm, but by 8:41 pm, we still hadnt received our food. After another staff member finally approached us, we learned that our order hadnt even been sent to the kitchen. We were told it would be an additional 15-30 minutes wait. This delay completely ruined what was supposed to be a special date night. It was a frustrating and disappointing waste of time and ruined the moment entirely.

Review 22nd June 2024 Service is still super slow on a Saturday afternoon. Staff need to be honest with customers on how long food is going to take and tell them right away before being seated. Waited well over an hour for our meals and the two pizzas that came out were both missing pork and my Rivoli dish was like warm. I suspect it was sitting under the heat lamp for some time. No apologies or update with the late service. Absolutely, no care from both the male waiter or the lady in black taking the order. Luckily, their only saving grace was the delicious food. Been there a couple of months ago. Food was generally OK however it was probably the first time in my life Ive been seved cheap tasteless non-extravirgin olive oil as a dip with bread. I still cant believe it.

Food is pretty basic, and pretty overpriced for what it is. I had a bolognese and it was dry, my partner had the crab ravioli and the crab tasted super fishy and not fresh. Lemon drop cocktail was delicious

We arrived at about 2.15pm on a Friday and the restaurant only had a few customers. We were seated, given water and had our order taken quickly and pleasantly. We sat there and watched dishes being made and served to other customers who came after us after about 40 minutes we decided to ask a waitress where our food and drink was. She checked the system and then chatted with a number of other waitresses and then we were advised by our original waitress that the order had been lost in the system . We reordered our pizza and coke and were told it would be ready in 4 minutes. The waitress then gave us two plates, one of which had a chunk of cheese stuck to the side. After that was replaced I received my coke which was in a glass that was about 250-300ml. It had lots of ice and not much coke in it. The Diavola pizza arrived about 10 minutes later and it was absolutely delicious. The base was a little bit thin in the middle of the pizza but otherwise it was perfect. When I paid for the meal I was hoping for a discount given the fact we had to wait so long for our meal but that was not even suggested. I was stunned that the glass of coke cost $5 it was definitely not worth that. So even though there were a few glitches in the service the pizza redeemed them and I will go back again and give them another chance to improve the service. But I probably won t get the coke again! Parking: Parking under the West Village buildings and on surrounding streets. Also across the road in the Soda Factory parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to enter the restaurant so a wheelchair would be able to enter.

Quality has dropped since I last visited in 2023. The arancini balls were overdone and hard to cut into. The pizzas and pastas were flavourless and it was a chore to finish our food. Our waitress was attentive and checked up on us during the meal, which is why I gave it 3 not 2 stars.

Had the pleasure of dining here on Saturday for an early Mothers Day lunch! Staff were really lovely, service was quick and attentive, the food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere in the garden mall of West End was really lovely. Excellent service. Mother s Day can be hit and miss but we received attentive service and the pizzas and pastas were flavoursome and fresh. We needed to move out of the sun and the host did this with a smile and no fuss. Thank you guys. Highly recommended Food

Seated for a table for two and it was almost as if they forgot we were there. Table service was horrendously slow; took over 15 minutes for cocktails to reach the table and over an hour for the food to arrive (two mains) had to ask twice if our food was ever coming. Understaffed and was unreasonably difficult to even get the attention of wait staff for drinks whilst we kept waiting for our food. Felt incredibly sick on the walk back to the car and battled nausea the whole night afterwards. Likely had food poisoning. For a $140 bill, you d expect better service and to not have to throw up all of your food for the remainder of the night. Definitely won t return steer clear of this restaurant.

Avoid. An hour to get food. 15 minutes just to get our drinks. Undercooked pasta, cold plates, horrible margaritas. Sadly other than quite a nice venue there is nothing positive I can say. Needs some form of management.

I visited Brisbane on the weekend and had a very unpleasant experience. Besides the slow service, I was able to hear the way in which the chef loudly and poorly spoke to the staff. I understand that mistakes happen in busy periods but the way in which the chef spoke to his staff with many customers around showed a lot about how he created a poor work environment for the staff.

Picked up a takeaway order. We eat here a bit both takeaway and at the restaurant and its normally pretty good. This time however we were disappointed. The salad we got was tiny compared to usual (attached image - zoom in to see salad) and the pizza was cold.

Love this place, we frequent with the family when I come up from Victoria. The food is always good, sometimes better at certain times, but overall still highly enjoyable with quality ingredients. The staff are friendly and accommodating, but the only criticism I will give is that they are very slow to serve drinks. I have noticed this on multiple occasions that they either forget, or they are very slow on the bar. Two seperate occasions they have forgotten our drink orders completely, after reminding them after 30+ mins. The second occasion we finished our entree and mains, and the drinks were still no where to be seen. We went up to pay as we had finished our meals, and she said they were on the counter. We said thats no good to us, them up there. This definitely needs improving as its happened on multiple occasions.

Decided to try this place out on a Wednesday evening. Place was packed with limited seating however amazing service! Only downside was the food unfortunately my med-rare steak came out well done & the gnocchi was almost raw. No alcoholic bevs & our total came to almost $200 not worth it & disappointing. Probably wouldn t go back, but I d like to think the chef was just having a bad night.

Long wait for small portions of mediocre food

I live locally and have been meaning to come here for so long! The name perfectly suits the atmosphere, as it sits in the hub of our local village plaza. No matter the time or day I walk passed, this restaurant is always bustling with life! We took a chance to go in without a reservation and were quickly seated on an outdoor table. We had a wonderful and attentive waitress who was happy to recommend dishes to us, as Id had a large lunch and felt like something light. We went for the truffle chips and prosciutto as entrees, and for mains, we shared a lamb ragu casarecce and a side zucchini salad. Despite our best efforts, we couldnt finish the pasta, so we took it home, and its just as amazing and the lamb just as tender the next day as it was fresh last night. The zucchini salad was the perfect size, perfectly roasted zucchini, a slight crunch to the green beans, and the buffalo cheese and pine nuts added the perfect balance of flavour. For drinks, we kept it simple and tried the Lemon Drop cocktail, which tasted just like a lemon meringue pie! I just wish I could have taken some of those home too.

My experience at this restaurant was utterly disappointing and frustrating. The service was incredibly slow, with the main course taking almost an hour and hasnt arrive. Despite numerous attempts to get the attention of the staff, their attitude was appalling. After waiting for more than ten minutes post-order without any sign of service, I had to fetch plates myself and serve my own table. Even after multiple attempts to signal for assistance, there was no response from the staff. The manager, who claimed to be in charge, displayed the worst attitude imaginable. As the lunch break was nearing its end, I had no choice but to return to the office. I tried to communicate with the restaurant staff to settle the bill and cancel the main course, but the manager adamantly refused to allow us to leave. He argued that the food was on the way and vehemently opposed any attempt to pay and depart early. His indifference to our dissatisfaction was shocking. Moreover, I strongly suspect racial discrimination, as tables nearby with non-Asian diners were served promptly while ours was blatantly neglected. The restaurants environment was filthy, with tables and floors littered with food remnants. It was an experience unlike any other, and unfortunately, it was the worst dining experience Ive ever had. I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

1. The staff ignores my needs. I tried to ask the staff for four plates, and they failed to get the plate for 10 minutes after answering ok. 2. No main food coming for 40 minutes after ordering. 3. Limit my freedom. When I was about to settle my bills early and plan to leave, someone who called himself the restaurant manager said we were not allowed to leave until the food was ready.

Had dinner here the other night with my husband. We had the set menu for $69 per person. I would say it was well worth it for the price. Quality, taste and presentation was excellent! The only reason why I didn t give it a perfect 5 stars is the service. We had ordered (and the waiter who served knew this as he mentioned it from the beginning) a set menu and waited 40 mins to get our entrees. They weren t that busy when we got there (6pm) so I was surprised the platter took a while considering these were mostly cold meats & crackers. The mains came on time though which was good. The , got a bit disappointed again when we waited at least 30 mins for dessert. The dessert was a tiramisu cake. The waiter apologised which confirmed our suspicions that they must have forgotten. Overall, the food was good and I liked the whole vibe of this place so would definitely come back. Just hope the staff are more attentive next time!

Food was beautiful. What lets this place down is the total lack of table service and the inability for customers to get the attention of staff. We were there for 2.5 hours, saw tables around us change over 3 times, and waited ridiculous periods for dessert. When it did come out, after asking... a plate was slapped down on the table with spoons and napkins. From a large plastic bowl, the surly waitress scooped out a ladle of tiramasu and splopped it on the plate. Went in for a other scoop followed by her hitting the ladle on the plate several times. She then stalked off. Not a word. Not a smile. Not an eye contact. I looked around for a hidden camera! My friend grabbed a waiter and asked if this was normal... an amazing Italian dessert usually served with pride looked like something slopped up at the old fashioned school boarding houses! Despite the food being really nice, it does not negate the abysmal service and lack of personability of the wait staff. Check in with the diners; offer drinks; make eye contact.... easy wins for more money on the bill, not to mention a decent tip.

I thought food and atmosphere were good. Service needs a shake-up. Some time after seating, we were approached for our water preference. We made the most of the opportunity to order our meals. Lucky, that was the only time we were approached for drinks. It also took 3 direct requests from us to get the water, which arrived as we finished our meals. Our previous visit had similar issues. Posting this in the hope they read and lift their game, then they could be a standout.

We had lunch at this restaurant with my family a few weeks ago. We ordered olives, gnocchi and pizza. We waited for a long time, but we can understand this. We waited that long and the order arrived wrong and we waited again. Pizza was okay, but the pasta was not to our liking. Would give zero stars if I could. Waited over an hour for our food which never ended up coming. Checked with the waiters multiple times about updates on our orders and each time they would lie to us and say it ll be 5/6 minutes. First update the waiter said it ll be four minutes, second update which was 20 minutes later was the food will be out in 6 minutes. After another 20 minutes we decided to leave as it had been over an hour. Multiple times they said it ll be out soon and each time they would have a different excuse. Genuinely terrible service and would not recommend to anyone ever.

Staff are important here. You get sent to wait outside. Outside there is no signage requesting you to wait to be seated and no one in attendance. Clearly too important to accommodate me.

Warm greeting on arrival, and staff that serviced the table promptly with a smile on their face, and then asked if there was anything else they could do for us when passed by, makes a nice change from having to get eye contact with the staff for service. Well laid out, open kitchen so you can see whats going on out the back if your intrested and nice inside or outdoor seating. The four cheese and honey Pizza was very tasty and even had a non pizza eater going back for another slice. Parking: The place is almost built on an large underground parking lot, and if your visit isnt too long there is no charge

Set in a lovely location. We had the set menu, which was three courses plus a glass of wine. Food amazing and flavoursome which was fresh and homemade. Staff very attentive and caring. Amazing!!! As a party of 5, we turned up at a busy Saturday lunchtime rush on a rainy day with our dogs (no booking). They were more than happy to cater for us, finding us a dry table to eat at. Very very slow service. We waited more than 30 minutes for a pizza and a plate of gnocchi. The same for dessert, the waiters didnt pay attention to us so the desserts arrived very late too. 15 minutes after finishing our dish, we were finally cleared. I do not recommend coming here!!!!!!!

A good mid-level chain Italian restaurant, that has potential, but missed the mark on two separate visits. Unfortunately we had some very inconsistent meals on our two visits, and for the money Id expect much better quality. Most recently my $34 Gamberi (Prawn) pasta was extremely salty which overpowered any other flavours the cook was trying to share. Other guests also complained about very salty mains. Another minor thing, for some reason theyve chosen chairs and tables in the outdoor area that are at odd heights. The bench chairs are low and the tables are higher than normal leaving you feel like your plate is at your chest making eating very difficult. Service was friendly.

I ve been to Italian Street Kitchen many times, all previously wonderful service and food. This visit I felt like an inconvenience even trying to get a table on a quiet day. With previously good experiences, I ventured out to try the carpaccio. On arrival the meat looked well-past expiry and had a hoard of flies who seemed more interested in the dish than I was. The rest of the food was average. The staff did take the dish off the bill though. Wait staff & host do seem miserable to be there. Will likely not return.

One of the best Italian restaurant in town, overall food was very good and excellent service with friendly staff. You can always ask whats good and they will recommend you based on tour taste. It is so convenient as well. Highly recommend, also there are couple of dessert place around which you can choose after dinner. Must go. Vegetarian options: Lot of veggie options.

Really enjoyed Isabellas Signature Antipasti, and the experience overall. We had a booking for 8:30 and stood at the door waiting to be greeted/seated for 13 minutes and didn t have cutlery/napkins on our table until requested halfway through our entree is the only reason you lost a star otherwise a lovely dining experience, would visit again.

Our waitress Sol was super super nice and she made our dining experience so much more pleasant. We had picked a set meal that cost 69pp and it was just me and my friend. Food was great while being slightly on the oily side. The issue was that after starter came on for five minutes the staff was already hustling us to clear the table for main. The food was already made and going cold on the serving area while we were not even halfway through starter. Overall, I guess the meal just felt super rushed.

My son had rigatoni Bolognese it was very al dente, Hard an chewy, I had the Arancini an they were delicious, hubby had the Chicken Cotoletta was nice an crispy and well seasoned fried egg was cooked to perfection, my other son had the Italian Sausage pizza, dough was chewy but tipping was nice, the tiramisu for dessert was okay, not enough liqueur service was great and everything came out on time didnt have to wait every long thank you

West End Brisbane is lovely, its like its little owner fairy garden, but the food at this restaurant was only OK for us,( certainly under whelming to what I expected) very limited menu, and I did expect better given reviews I had read. I thought it would be better. Over priced for what you get pasta wise( 2 main meals and 2 drinks $ 140) Pizza are better though. Would I go back....sorry No. Well try one of the other restaurants near by next time. Disappointed as Id been looking forward to it for weeks

I came here in a group of 4 for lunch on a Saturday right after they opened, so the restaurant was fairly quiet when we were seated. Service was good to begin with but then tapered off. It was almost impossible to get anyones attention and we werent checked on which made things like asking for water or cutlery frustrating. The food was hit and miss. The carpaccio and bolognese were excellent whereas the vongole was bland. The mains also didnt come out at the same time which meant that some peoples food went cold. Ambiance was nice, restaurant was well decorated. I would probably give the food at Italian Street Kitchen another try but the lack of service makes me hesitant.

Super nice modern Italian restaurant in the heart of West End. Food is full of flavour, and portion sizes are generous. Great vibe

No booking but found us a ta ke for two on a busy Friday night. Water offered literally as soon as we sat and drink order was served up quickly as well. Food was served quickly and was of decent proportion, flavourful and hit the spot. If I had one negative point it was the music, hit the right notes with some traditional Italian fare.

First of all, the waiting staff were young, vibrant and enthusiastic and could not be faulted. The food and restaurant environment however were a different matter. The food which was served to us, was lacking in any talent whatsoever, the sauces which adorned the pastas presented, were bland and far from authentic. I ordered a tagliata which is very difficult to ruin, the steak itself was reasonable however, the accompaniments were basic at best. My wife is Italian and I am used to being presented with high quality meals for which I am extremely grateful. Why are Brisbanites so accepting of the rubbish they are presented with, Italian food is simple, generous and flavoursome, the food here was poor quality, meagre and flavourless. High quality ingredients coupled with a hint of talent results in a great meal. I would consider this restaurant to be a very poor choice if you are seeking an authentic Italian experience.

Staff were lovely. But both ravioli options were unavailable. And any restaurant calling themselves Italian wouldnt dream of offering the fake on the shelf parmesan cheese we were given. We gave it another go after about a year of similar experience, not again Im afraid.

Really good food. The meal flavours were gentle and well balanced and let the softer flavours have their moments to sing, which made for a pleasant and complex tasting. Only criticisms I have is that the cocktails were rather bland, as well as they charged $10 for a bottle of sparkling water.

Ordered bolognese, 15mins later the waiter returned and informed the table the kitchen had no meat. Pick something else. The food I did not really want was OK. Service was slow. Our lunch sitting took over 2 hours. Imagine if they had to cook meat.... went to pay to be quizzed if I had anything else on the bill 3 times. I must look dishonest. If only they put this much attention into a meat order or walking 10m to the 2 supermarkets next door and buy some red protein to fulfil orders. Ciao.

We were excited to try this restaurant which is only one of 3 in Brisbane that accept yums. We had a voucher for $50 off using our yums which was noted when we made the booking. We were given the worst table in the restaurant when its raining; where we were getting rained on when the wind blows. It was a cold, wet night, and this happened often. Of course, we were cold. The food quality was pretty good and I know this restaurant is capable of really bringing it. Unfortunately, our portion size of pasta was considerably smaller than what others had and presented on a flat plate rather than a pasta dish that all other patrons received. Secondly, our prosciutto pizza had one ten cent piece of fior di latte on it only! Also, the prosciutto was placed on top after the pizza was cooked. We did see others with much more cheese on their pizza. Thirdly, the service,; from the minute we arrived we were referred to as the 50. Our entree came pretty quickly but the wait for mains was long. Im assuming this was because we had $50 off. It certainly felt that when delivering the food one server said to double check with the other the 50? Of which he confirmed it. Then it took so long for the waiter to come back after we had clearly finished; so we could get the bill, that I had to get up and ask where is the childs ice-cream (on the menu it states childs meals include a scoop of vanilla gelato. This half scoop tasted like a cheap supermarket ice cream and was half melted in the bottom of a water glass.) and can we have the bill? (Yes we asked twice!) Then the bill came without the $50 taken off and I had to point it out. Quite disappointed with this treatment. As one of only 3 restaurants offering yums in Brisbane, through the Fork rewards scheme, we expect better. You get your perks from the Fork for allowing this but the service and food quantity/quality should not be affected due to this. Generally we love this sort of food and have missed this type of restaurant since leaving Sydney, This could have been such a great dining experience but it just missed the mark

Not overly impressed by this place. Its a nice place to sit for atmosphere and decor but food not worth what you pay.
