405 Montague Rd, West End QLD 4101, Australia
Celebrate your food cravings the Italian way at Voglia restaurant on Montague Road in West End. Voglia, meaning "desire" in Italian, offers a contemporary Brisbane dining experience, delivering everything from gourmet breakfast to handmade pasta, hand stretched pizza and divine dolci. Buon Appetito!
Went here for lunch today and both my wife and I had a great meal. I have an allergy to preservatives and the server was very switched on and recommended a great meal for me within minutes. Also offered to change the type of pasta in the seafood pasta that my wife wanted - very accommodating and great meals. Highly recommended.
we were seated immediately on a friday night at 7pm, staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. the food was delicious and presented beautifully. prices were reasonable, atmosphere was wonderful. the restaurant was dimly lit and very easy to find. we will be coming back!
This looks like a popular place for Sunday breakfast. The food looks delicious. What I got was pretty nice. Coffee tasted yummy. The turkish tarts made my mouth water looking at them. I was strong and didn’t order one today. Indoor and outdoor eating. Looks like a family business.
A very disappointing meal.!!The pizza was small and had very little meat. It wasn't worth 34 $ I was surprised by the $39 pasta, no flavor, surprisingly little seafood,I can't believe this mixed seafood pasta dish. Very disappointed, will never come back, can be said to have eaten the most disappointing and a bad meal.
Absolute poor service by all staff, rushed multiple times, male staff even took away our main dish when we haven’t finished. We (non-italian) ordered a pasta dish, were served this very hard, rubbery, thick type paste, we could not chew through without having these flour stuck to our teeth. We just wanted clarification on the type of pasta however was discriminated and told that “pasta is not noodle, this is how ITALIAN pasta is”. Other food was okay however we were disgusted by this customer service.
Whilst the atmosphere was a little stark, the food, cocktails and wine took us back to Italy. My wife raved about the espresso Martini and we both enjoyed our meals. The attention from staff was perfect. Helpful and engaging but not overbearing. We will go back.
Been here a few times for breakfast and lunch and each time I’ve been impressed with the quality of food and promptness of the staff. Only detractor is that you have to order at the register which doesn’t match the prices charged for the meals. The truffle pizza was Devine. The kale on the gnocchi was delicious. The polenta was a bit sad - perhaps cook it with chicken stock and garlic in the water to give it more flavour.
It’s in Woolies Plaza yet has a perky inside/outside space that seems to be always bustling. Crisp service for brunch. The pancakes were good - although a bit over sweet and could have done with a bit more fruit. The smoke salmon and potato rosti was completely divine. Big portion too - we could have shared and still been full up (we did add an extra poached egg). The cappuccinos were decent. Service prompt. Already looking forward to going back!
Great breakfast! Terrific service from Andrea and the team. Been coming back for weeks. Wheelchair accessibility: Manual and electric wheelchair accessible restaurant and bathrooms.
Beautiful food and atmosphere. My only downside to this restaurant is that there isnt a kids menu. But the foods is amazing and they are very accommodating for making a kid friendly pizza.
You guys have amazing service, awesome coffee and an amazing atmosphere! Thanks for taking care of even the small customers
Stopped in for a coffee on the run and was not disappointed, a great espresso.
family dinner
Best italian spot in Brisbane Ive ever been so far. Not only because of the great taste of the food, full of mediterranean flavour. But also because of the warmth, respect and kindness of the italian owners, that remind me my italian background. Bravissimo
Great pizza and service!
As an Italian and been to Italy many times now, voglia makes the best pizzas. takes me back to Italy . Great service. Clean and family owned.
The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the service fast, but the pasta was overcooked and with more salt than needed.
Magic
Great place to eat before the Ballet or anytime would go again
Food and services were absolutely 10/10 I highly recommend to try this place. Food
Food ok, atmosphere pretty good, absolutely terrible service. The staff have attitude and everything on the menu is unbelievably overpriced. If you are in a massive hurry and need a coffee, I might recommend Voglia. However Cheeky Bean next door is a far better option with better service and prices.
Everything is amazing and it is so valuable ,we tried different things on a very special price
Only stopped for morning tea, great service, nice coffee and the best blueberry muffin ever. It was home made.
Staff were not really friendly, however coffee tasted good.
Very disappointing experience. We were greeted by an egotistical, shockingly rude little man who said he runs the restaurant. On their website he claims to be an experienced restaurateur. If he treats all his customers as he treated us, we re surprised hes still in business. His establishment and service do not warrant further unfavorable comment. We wont be back!!!
The food was excellent but the service was absolutely terrible, starting with the owner, who made a big point of saying he was booked up and we had to sit at the worst table, the place was only half full and still only half full when we left 1.5 hours later The waiter was very rude with his little outburst, not warranted at all, we just asked if he spoke Italian. This attitude would never happen in Italy.
Food is good, staff are polite and attentive.
Perfect italian dishes.
I really like this restaurant... The food is incredible and the service as well. I have been there for dinner and it is not noisy, the waiters are always around checking if any table needs something. The pizza is incredible and the pasta too but my favorite dish there is the octopus! I just havent found other perfection like it. Wheelchair accessibility: It is on the ground floor and they dont have steps or anything like that inside the restaurant
Amazing food and service! Went for a birthday celebration and was not disappointed! Highly recommend.
Really good Italian
1 star is not because it worth 1, just because there s no lower score. Worst staff and service ever in Brisbane.
Rudest staff ever. At lunch we went. There was no menu outside so we took a risk and went in. The only options (at lunchtime) were entrees or $35+ meals, so we got a selection of entrees to share plus drinks. From that point onwards the staff were deliberately rude. Put some decent lunch-appropriate options on the menu rather than blaming the customer for choosing something appropriate. The best options ended up including things like plain bread (boring and plain) and chips (come on). Also, why when you get arancini balls do they insist on giving you 4 falls about 2cm in diameter each? The are literally rice, it cannot be too expensive to make them adult size. Vegetarian options: Poor vegan or even close to vegan options. Everything has cheese except the bread.
This is the second time at this restaurant. The first time for lunch, we found the staff abrupt and quite rude. Today, for lunch, before heading over to Queensland Ballet with a party of 6. We found the staff to be rude and pushy. The food was unremarkable, and one of the orders was incorrect. The last time visiting this restaurant.
Have come here so many times and have never been disappointed. Staff are prompt and follow through with all requests.
Very good!! Its soooo delicious! My boyfriend and I both think this is a top 5 restaurant in Brisbane!
Very generous servings, could not finish a couple of meals, restaurant permitted take aways. Meals came out quickly. Overall good dining experience. F&B reasonably priced.
We booked for both Friday night and Saturday night, and each experience was great. Waitstaff took note of and accommodated my gluten free coeliac needs. The menu had both gluten free meals and gluten free options for some other meals. Nice wine list. Good atmosphere. And all the staff were friendly, courteous and accommodating.
The focaccia sandwiches are incredible! Delicious focaccia that was warm and crunchy, and a good amount of filling.
Brunch was nice
Came to this restaurant for lunch, food was good but nothing extraordinary, place was clean and staff were all nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was tarnished by who I believe was the manager of the restaurant (wearing black skinny jeans, blue button up). First of all, he appeared to constantly be on the back of his staff, micro-managing them as soon as a client appeared at the entrance of the restaurant. He then rounded all the staff and had what appeared to be a brief staff meeting in the restaurant during which he appeared quite agitated and was not speaking to his staff in the nicest manner. This definitely made me feel uncomfortable and tarnished my experience at Voglia. The manager was also numerous times observed checking himself out in the mirror which was an awkward sight. Additionally, he was also seen using the same Chux wipe on his shoes and the table he was sitting at. Overall, my experience at Voglia was good but tainted by the very noticeable presence of an overbearing manager, reminiscent of difficult managers we have all had when working in retail/hospitality who tend to forget that common courtesy and manners don t only extend to their clients but also to their staff.
The coffee is really good! One of the best
Me and my friends came here before a night out and it was amazing! I had the carbonara but changed the spaghetti to the gnocchi and it was one of the best I have had. The cheesy garlic bread was great and the drinks were delicious. Definitely recommend and can t wait to try at the other locations.
The food was lovely and the bottomless brunch package was amazing value. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful but I feel like we had to ask them to come to our table to order more drinks on a few occasions. It was Easter Sunday though and was busy so they may have been understaffed. Apart from this minor thing I would definitely come back and have recommended it to many friends already.
The most authentic Neapolitan pizza in Brisbane in my opinion
Food was fantastic, service was fantastic and can t wait to go back.
Walked past at7pm on a Saturday and felt like a coffee. Place was 3/4 empty. Was told coffee finished at 3pm. I pointed to 2 ladies drinking coffee on a small cafe table outside the shop and asked are you sure? . Then was told I need to order dinner first. I guess it s your business and you can run it how you like, but found it bizarre that you d say no to business and leave a poor impression for first timers to the area. My girlfriend was lost for words and neither of us would make any effort anytime soon to try this place. Plenty of options in West End with great service and this isn t one of those.
Service and food, from entry to dessert was excellent.
Food always meet your expectations and even more! Always impressed by the high quality of the ingredient and generous dishes size. Grazie Voglia!!!
Sensational. All dishes were great. Service great.
A little noisy.... Vegetarian options: Ravioli is lovely Food : 5/5 |
Loved the little dining area we were seated in that allowed us to enjoy an extremely delicious pizza and have a conversation without feeling like we needed to yell. Will come back!
The staff here are so kind. My daughter and I come here regularly for a babycino and they always make her feel really special
Good food, but bad customer service.
Holy cow, $22 for a croissant and orange juice?!?!? Those bad boys better be served on a golden platter for that sort of price??? Update: they were not :(
The best pizza in Brisbane with its own brand pizza La Voglia The wonderful staff... Its the best pizza in Brisbane and pasta is al dente like Italian autentic pasta.....
Vary good food and very italian ristorant and pizza, service fast and friend honestly prices Full Raccomand Food
Brought my family to celebrate my sons graduation we all absolutely loved the food and the service will definitely be going back Parking: Undercover
A great place to eat! Food is terrific, with a wine list to match and the service first class. You will not be disappointed
The pizza and tiramisu is my favorite! The service was good too but wish the shop could install some fly repellents We wasted some food because of the flies staying!
I consistently enjoy sitting at the tables with my morning coffee and the personal attention from the staff makes it all the more enjoyable! Parking: NA
Great place to eat! Food was delicious and very well presented. Friendly staff! Highly recommended, we will be back!
I would just like to say thank you for an amazing food and service. Staff are just incredible and customer friendly. Found this place by chance but will come back. Highly recommend.
The sheer greed of this place charging a 10% surcharge on the weekend but not paying their staff a cent more. This is pure exploitation of their staff and an abuse of the customer s goodwill.
Been gathering with friends for breakfast and i couldn t ask for anything better. This is the second time coming (first time was for dinner) and let me tell you this: as an italian this is the perfect place to feel the real atmosphere, from location, impeccable service and quality of food and beverages. Honestly i ve been trying many Italian restaurants around Brisbane but this is the best overall experience that you can get and you will be looked after during the whole service, from wine recommendation to food explanation.
Easily the best pizza in a couple of kilometres. We re local and I ve tried them all. Had a spirited chat with the owner this morning over an espresso while waiting for pizza to be cooked. He s clearly passionate about the standards of food and service at Voglia. (Not the best photo, attached, but Christmas last things shopping needed to be done in a hurry)
Classy suburban Italian restaurant with large size meals that are good for sharing. The Australian blue lip mussels were delicious for lunch. Handy parking in the underground carpark that is free for 2hrs too.
Love this place. Service is exceptional. Food even better.
My previous review was from prior to having a finger nail in my coke and trying to quietly tell the owner so they could fix it.. the female owner was grateful at the time, but the male one came over and started going off his head and made me so uncomfortable Ive not been back since... and I feel most sorry for the female who was co manager and the staff... they did awesome... but hes horrible and to attack someone for saying hey I found this in my drink and to blame me? Why would I? Id been going here regularly at the time.. and completely forgot to update my review. Google just reminded me my last review for this place has over 50,000 views.... Please find elsewhere if the male manager is still the owner and has not left... see below reviews.
After having not come here for over 12 months, it was amazing to see that the same great service remained. The staff are all friendly and very attentive to their customers. The food portion sizes are extremely generous and the quality of food flawless. Would recommend to anybody looking for some genuine Italian service. Dietary restrictions: Dairy free.
Voglia simply has the best coffee, food, and more. 10/10
The best food in West end.. pancakes and thickshakes to die for..10/10
Best coffee, best food, best pizza, high service, very clean highly recommended.
I have walked past this cafe a handful of times but finally decided to give it a try today, best coffee I have had in this area, I used to work as a barista so I know good quality coffee & this was a hit ! I also got an almond croissant and a buttermilk chicken wrap and it was 10/10 so fresh and full of flavour exactly what I was looking for, thank you guys for the amazing customer service and food! Will be back again:)
The dish were good, well presented and kind staffs. The environment have a good design perfect to family meetings. Parking: Probably youre able to park on complex parking lot near by.
the restaurant is located in a complex in the West End, close to the market and other services. It has large glass doors that look out onto the street. It has options for meals and snacks, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. works on weekends too. the price of the dishes is a little high, but the food is good.
My wife and I went to Voglia today (27 January 2023) and alI can say is that the meals we ordered, allo scroglia and seafood risotto, were absolutely delicious. Every mouthful was a delight! Really delicious - even scrumptious! The wine (pinot grigio) was excellent and the service was above standard. One slight problem was that you had to go up to a counter to order and also pay before getting your meals and drinks, but that is very minor once you tuck into the food! Also paper napkins are issued at lunch time but cloth napkins were being laid out for evening meals and no finger bowls were offered. But apart from that and all in all it was a great lunch and we will be returning there regularly. Daniel & Patricia Mount Cotton
The best breakfast ever Everyone very friendly The food is amazing If I could I would give 10 stars Food : 5/5 |
Amazing. A good place to spend sometime with yours loved.
Great presentation and a large portion, with enough to feed 2 people. Definitely coming back again.
First time here for lunch, great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. Will def be back. Vegetarian options: Many items have vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Cooked to order meals, can cater for dietary restrictions. Parking: 2 hours free underground parking Kid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere, relaxed feel, good kids menu options. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat floors wide doors, movable tables.
If only they had spent any amount of the budget on a chef or at least the ingredients. Beautiful marble dining space with well adorned smiling faces. The gnocchi was gluggy, rubbery, and covered in a one dimensional sauce that I would bet my local guide stars came straight from a freezer meal. The pizza was very bland, And lacking even salt.
Good food, friendly service. Parking: Went with a friend, chatted too long and missed the two hour few parking by a few minutes. Was about $20, but should have been $10. Food : 4/5 |
The way the owner treats staff and customers is actually really disrespectful and abusive. The food is really amazing though, no complaints on that. The front staff appears to be really hard working too but I dont understand why they are treated so bad. Used to come here every once in a while but dont see myself going there anymore.
Their coffee is just....-chefs kiss- I love coming here, its conveniently located across from my work, they have a really nice menu, I tried their eggs bennidict a while back and it was delicious. Love the vibes here at West End
We have eaten here on a few occasions and every time the food is absolutely amazing, so yummy! I would eat here more often but it always ends up costing a bit. The staff have always been friendly and I am amazed they can take orders without writing it on a notepad and remember everything! The only thing is I noticed the other night that you can t order just plain bread/ rolls as a starter, I was looking for something small for my toddler to nibble on while we waited for our guests to arrive. Other than that it s a great place.
Good food and service, but music was much too loud inside the cafe - most customers were sitting outside even though it was a hot day.
I ordered 2 HCT crossants and 2 coffees $46 later 10% surcharge what a rip off
I love this place and I got to have a chat with the new head chef and I m looking forward to trying the new menu he spoke about very soon! Great vibes, I m looking forward to coming back
Best traditional Italian restaurant in Brisbane. Vito the owner is a legend and makes you feel comfortable like you dining at a friend house . Definitely coming back
The price on the menu is different to what they charged. Flat out and latte is showing $5 each on the menu but charged us for $5.50 each with no reason provided. Service is very average.
The manager (or whoever was wearing a different shirt to the other employees) was incredibly rude, had a superiority complex. I felt super bad for the super kind and prompt girl who served us, he bossed her around in such a demeaning manner- telling her to don t stand, go wash some dishes, be useful as she patiently waited for ME to finish my order. Not to mention he was rude to my mother, whose second language is English, as she was struggling to ask a question. Super uncomfortable, wouldn t dine in again.
I recently went to Voglia for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised! Best authentic Italian food in Brisbane, what a hidden gem to have discovered. Highly recommend.
Pasta was fresh and delicious.... aperol spritz was made with love.
Foods was absolutely beautiful. Love the pasta. Parking is also convenient.
Rude staff. One of the staff asked us to leave the outside table because we bought two coffees at The Cheeky bean and not at the Voglia. Fair enough, but unnecessary rudeness since the restaurant was empty. I don t feel like buying from them in the future.
Very delicious, although a bit expensive.
Awesome experience
Very tasty meals and wonderful service.
The potato rosti was teeth breaking hard and horrible. I told the waiter and he said he would tell the chef.... Nothing else very disappointing
Best Italian restaurant. Authentic test of food. Good saff
Excellent food here, we had amazing starters and mains, and great service, well be back
Terrific breakfast. All the simple things cooked very well and wonderful service from young people that had clearly been trained and took pride in their work. Eggs cooked exactly the way I asked for and the bacon was top quality.
I love this place. The food is excellent, a real treat. Its pretty much became my go-to place because I can host people from all walks of life. They absolutely nailed the options and value. Pricing has recently gone up but there are still plenty of good value items on the menu such as burgers and pizzas. A $20 pasta would be a win! The staff are excellent, they are either hiring well or training well, possibly both. They seem to have good staff retention which adds to the local restaurant vibe. I usually try and find faults in my reviews so they seem genuine... struggling with that one, I might update later! Haha
We were here for dinner with 4 people at the weekend. We ate across the menu. Steak, fish, pizza, plus beer, wine and grappa. The steaks were buttery soft and just right. The fish was well seasoned and tasty. The pizza was well topped. All dishes were excellently prepared and sufficient. Our waiter was very attentive and knew something about his job. The atmosphere was very nice...cloth napkins, beautifully set tables, not too crowded. And above all not too loud. We will come back.
I don t understand the half table service at breakfast. You wait to be seated, a waiter seats you & brings out menus, but then you have to walk up to the counter & line up to order & explain where you are seated. It s a pricey restaurant with a weekend surcharge so why not do proper table service. The quality of the coffee & food is good
Had a beautiful family birthday celebration - atmosphere, food & service couldnt be faulted. Love having such a fantastic, family -run restaurant in the local community
The panini s are absolutely amazing. The Coffee is as good as you get in Brisbane. Wood fire Pizza s and delicious pasta too. Support local businesses. Food
First time here, food and service is excellent. Seating inside and out. Thoroughly recommend
great italian food and attentive and helpful waitstaff. Great with kids too Parking: plenty under Wooworths Food : 5/5 |
Vigils is our favourite place. It ticks all the boxes. Great food, great service and great ambiance.
It was our first visit and found the staff to be friendly and attentive, the food delicious and service prompt as we were attending the ballet that evening.
The food is always great, and the service is always speedy. It s also in a really nice location, always enjoy coming here
We had great tasty food, the kitchen and staff were very accommodating and service was cheerful and brisk. There were 6 of us as a group and all the meals came out together, good cocktails and wine choices... we dined in for dinner... very clean and safe precinct of West End. If parking in complex dine after 6 as night parking free.
Very impressed by the quality of food. Glad that we have booked the table there for our gathering. Dietary restrictions: Provide dietary options
Food is awesome, service is even better. Well decorated place with different areas. Food
Practically my favorite restaurant in Brisbane. Had beautiful memories there & I hope it stays in business for a long time as I ll be back again and again.
Always great
Wow, wow, wow!!! I treated my husband Jay to his birthday dinner at this amazing restaurant. The food and service was 5 . We will definitely be back Food
Appalling service. Here for 1hr45min, they forgot our food order and still billed $73. To .. *not* have dinner here. This is not a wait staff problem, or a kitchen problem, this is a management problem. Arrived ~5:30pm, table for 2. Ordered a bottle of sparkling water, two glasses of wine, entree, mains, and side. Water and wine were quick to arrive, entree arrived around 6pm. Then we waited. And waited. New diners arrived, were seated, dined, and left. We waited. At 7pm managed to flag someone to order another wine and mentioned the meals still hadn t arrived. Nothing was said. Went inside to enquire more fully, and waited in a queue. By now it was 7:15pm and we didn t have time to eat even if the meals did arrive. The manager apologised that they were very busy and any time there s ballet we re just so busy . Okay, I ll refund you the meals that didn t arrive and then billed me $73. I regret that I was too polite, too hungry, and in too much of a hurry to challenge this. Because, why !! did I pay to *not* have dinner? Thank goodness for the sushi train, which we scarfed in the remaining 5 minutes before our show started. Advice: - You know you ll be busy, don t seat people you can t serve. - Prioritise customers. If you clear a table before serving a table, something is wrong. - Hire more staff. Busy night? More customers? More staff. Don t smash your employees. - Check in on customers/tables. (All of them!) If someone had refilled our water, or come out to ask how things were - this wouldn t have happened. I d been holding a wine menu for 10min before I caught the eye of someone to take my order. They walked exaggeratedly I ve been caught backwards, and I said I m so sorry, are you trying to take a toilet break? because they had no intention of coming in our direction. - Apologise better. We came for dinner. Not for $70 of water and wine. It s not a refund if you failed to deliver. We could have left without paying, and you wouldn t have noticed. You offered absolutely no goodwill here. We were so looking forward to dining here, and the meals we ordered. This terrible service and mediocre apology put an awful spin on what was supposed to be a delightful evening.
Fabulous place. Everything was great
Took 1 hour 30 mins to get our food which ended up being rushed and stressful as we were going to the ballet. No apologies, paid full price, very unpleasant experience. Tables around us ordered meals after us but yet got there meals before us. Management were seen yelling and arguing with the kitchen staff. Cashier offered no apologies or enquiry as to our experience. Poor waitstaff were extremely stressed and overworked. Given most of the patrons were going to the ballet why would you not cap the amount of tables you accept and priortise those who ordered well before others. We wont be back again. Very disappointing experience.
Good food, service, and good spot when going shopping.
Perfect service and food
Always great, I had pizza and partner had the fish, mussel entree was delicious. Coffee excellent as well.
Awesome restaurant with great service. We had a nice time at Voglia, the staff were very friendly and foods were great! Parking: 2 hours free parking provided by Wilson parking
Food was really good. Service a bit uprupt but food came quickly as we were going to the ballet. Vegetarian options: A good artichoke dish that I ate was spectacular.
Staff were lovely and very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions (GF/DF). The food was delicious!
From the moment you walk in the staff are incredible. Great ambience and the food is absolutely amazing authentic good fresh Italian only using the best produce etc. Oh the coffee is fantastic also. Vito the owner and Andrea the Head chef are outstanding
Very good
Beautiful clean restaurant. Food took me back to Italy, authentic flavours. Service was friendly & efficient.
Amazing! Im still dreaming about the Octopus tentacles in tomato sauce, which was delicious. Efficient and friendly service. Im definitely coming back.
This is my regular coffee spot. I don t know how they do it but my coffee is so creamy and delicious. I m lactose intolerant, so they always make my coffee with extra care. This is one of the only places I trust to make a good, lactose free coffee. Definitely recommended. I can t wait to come here for dinner, their pizza s look amazing. Dietary restrictions: They always make my coffee lactose free. Parking: There s about 4 accessible parks. Regular parking and also parks for electric vehicles. Wheelchair accessibility: There s accessible parking and a lift to the ground level, where the restaurant is. Once you re there you are set to go.
Voglia is a very special Italian restaurant. Fantastic food, my favourite Carpaccio, and their pizzas are the most authentic in Brisbane. Italian wines are perfect. Service is outstanding, professional, warm and friendly. Got a wonderful family feel. Excellent value.
The best Italian in the city ! Wine, food, service everything was perfect. I highly recommend the risotto of the day this is defenetly the best in the city ! I do order pizza from them at least once a week and they are amazing too. If you are tired of Australian food and wants a real European experience this is the place to go ! Grazie mile !
Perfection Vegetarian options: Perfect Food : 5/5 |
Brunos has provided consistently good flavoursome mediterranean style food and efficient service set in a charming cottage. Have been many times without disappointment.
Great coffee, and a wide range of dishes, from breakfast to dinner.
Very delicious meal. Everything we ordered were great! The staffs look a bit grumpy tho
Paid $45 for breakfast after the surcharge! $9.35 for a muffin and $13+ for a chocolate brownie was a regret. There should be a note on the menu itself to notify us that there will be such a significant surcharge so we know to go elsewhere before sitting for a while looking at the menu.
The ravioli was amazing! Other meals were fantastic too and the service is great to go with it! Would definitely go back and recommend!
Excellent service and excellent coffee. Staff were attentive and polite. Ill go again when Im in the area. Sat outside so there was a little road noise. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy
Food was surprisingly great, real authentic Italian flavour. Pizza bread was crispy and light, cheese was flavoursome well balance with all the other ingredients. They use the best quality meet very scrumptious. Been to Italian Kitchen at West Village, Voglia is much better. Service was great, been look after very well, a few dish the lady recommend was all delicious. Now interested in trying other dishes next time. Also keen to try breakfast too! Worth trying
Had chicken salad for lunch which was on special, was like nice chicken on top of days old sloppy salad. Avocado grey, lettuce limp. 50 bucks down the loo. Not again sorry. Food
Wonderful service from the staff and amazing food
Had a corporate lunch recently and it was delightful.
Well priced, quality Italian food. Staff are friendly and polite. The muffins are fantastic, theyre not overly doughy or sweet, they are a little on the large side so consider sharing one. The pancakes are also very nice, like the muffins, theyre not doughy and they are served with fresh fruit. The coffee is also very good, they make a great piccolo. Both outdoor and indoor seating available. Plenty of undercover parking available. Parking: Undercover parking available and some street parking too. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible by wheelchair from the road, shopping centre and the carpark .
Delicious food and very friendly staff. Great for special occasions. Highly recommended!
Loved the food. The waiters where very polite. Just the music was too loud.
Best Margherita pizza in Brisbane!
Honestly one of the best places you can consider for breakfast in West End!
Not the most detailed review. It was great. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. The stuff were super apologetic because we had to wait a little while but i was prime time and it was raining so they were down a few seats. Will go again.
Since the business opened the owner has taken his eye off the ball, he needs to focus back on the local customers and service. Also the noise inside is off the charts. Food quality has dropped off as well when it first opened I would have given it 4 * the original staff were awesome and food first class. I really wish them to succeed it s a great location and fit out and we need great local businesses to stick around.
This is a classy Cafe in interesting part of town. I have been here before but only for takeaway coffee. Looked at menu and thought it was expensive so have stood off it every time I go to Woolies choosing instead to get coffee at Cheeky Beans. This time however I had my son with me snd he was hungry!! What do u do!! So we went in and sat down. Im on a diet so only had a black coffee. Son had breakfast burger $18. He said it was sensational. The coffee was typical Italian as strong and good. We noticed they have put a pizza oven in and we thought we would come back one night for pizza. Service and professionalism was first class. Reccomend.
Big portions and very good food.
Lovely place. Friendly staff and delicious meals.
My partner and I managed to get an early Saturday evening table without booking - very fortunate for our last minute celebration! Warm, inviting, family feel with an upmarket industrial vibe. Beautiful authentic Italian dishes and wines, well trained staff. Thank you, well be back!!
Friendly efficient Staff , great coffee , breakfast and service
Wife and I went to West End for breakfast, after driving around for a bit we came across Voglia and decided to give it a go. We are so glad we did, staff were lovely, coffee was great, and the food was top notch. The price seemed a little high, until we saw how big the servings were, it is definitely great value. We will not hesitate to go back, looking forward to trying their lunch or dinner.
Impolite attitude from the manager. Rude to family with baby. Witness an Indian family ask for an extra chair for baby stuffs, the manager replied rudely and asked why you need a chair where the restaurant was more than 50% empty till the family left. Other staffs are super nice .
Amazing food. Authentic and delicious.
Absolutely fantastic! Food was so delicious - the beetroot gnocchi was exquisite. Catered for my daughter s food allergy without a problem. Service was top notch. Outstanding! We had a large party - didn t wait long for our meals. Great night had by all. We will be back.
Such a fantastic and authentic Italian resto! My partner and I (who is part Italian), have dined here for lunch a couple of times before and every time, the food, service, and ambiance was spot on. Were big fans of their seafood pastas (especially the Vongole pasta). Serving portions are just right and everything is so flavourful. The staff and a gentleman who I think is the owner or possibly the manager, Vito, are also incredibly attentive and friendly which adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place. Id definitely recommend this place to my family and friends! Era tutto buonissimo, Voglia!
I had stumbled across Voglia when needing to visit Woolies. What an absolute delight. Coffee was perfect, delicious consistency, perfect acid/cream blend. After one sip I was hooked and wanted to see the menu.... Ummmm hello! I tried the salmon Rosti. Perfect. The eggs were gooey and caramelly, the rosti was crispy yet whipped in the centre. Chipotle hollandaise could have used a touch more of a kick, but nevertheless was delicious. All in all I couldnt fault this cafe, from the team to the food, the coffee to the displays, it was all enjoyable. Ill definately be making my way back again.
Norma pasta is out of this world!
My wife was just made to cry by the manager since she had the audacity to only order coffee and toast and was told that Do we look like the kind of café that serves only toast? We want all out customers to commit to a full breakfast. She is heavily pregnant and only able to eat small amounts and was left feeling embarrassed and shamed. This is terrible customer service and I would recommend that people boycott this establishment in favour of ones that remember that Hospitality means practicing being Hospitable.
Disappointing when two 77yr olds were asked to sit on uncomfortable high stools for coffee when there were plenty of spare tables! Wont be going back anytime soon when there is many other coffee shops in close proximity. Very disappointed!
Service was quick and the food was delicious! A little on the oily side but still very good!
Not bad..generous plates..cooked well..good service
Food is ok, but saw the owners arguing with other clients and treating them terribly. Will never go back
Delicious pizza and friendly staff Definitely coming back
Delicious pizza and good service.
Had lunch here today Food was fantastic as was the service and the wine great value will definitely be returning.
It is an amazing breakfast! The staff is incredibly nice. The pizzas they serve for dinner are delicious. I just would like to suggest to include the breakfast in the delivery apps, as you do for the dinner, to turn down a little bit the music volume, and, if it is possible, to open for dinner more days.
I ordered takeaway today as recommended by my dad who is Italian so I knew it would be good! It was fantastic and couldn t recommend enough, fast and kind service was provided as well. It s not the biggest serving for the price but Italian restaurants in Brisbane are normally quite pricey. I will be back to visit again to experience the restaurant dining-in & will provide an update :)
Very nice food, a little expensive.
Any place that lets me speak my poor Italian (I am learning in my defence) already gets bonus points. Food is great, wait staff as with anywhere chop and change but on the whole know what they are doing, I would love it to be full table service but it is what it is. One of my favs for any meal of the day. Parking: Free parking for 2hrs
Good dinner venue. Nice ambiance. Pizza was good but a little heavy on the salt. Sizeable servings. Sweet potato chips were amazing.
The atmosphere is cool but thé price is si expensive
We love everything about Voglia, most of all - the beautiful staff. Friendly, efficient service that s observant, not intrusive. Every meal we ve had here - and we ve done coffee and cake, breakfast, lunch, dinner, takeaway, and delivery - has been delicious. Dog friendly, indoor and outdoor seating, great people, food and service. Lots to love.
I will not support this restaurant after witnessing the owner or manager abusing his staff
Great food, Great staff Parking: Shopping centre carpark to park in Food : 5/5 |
Absolutely overpriced, poor service and coffee tastes awful
I left the review below 4 months ago so couldn t leave a new one. Nothing has changed Vito you are also a genius! The staff were different but still as professional and engaged in providing fantastic service! Haven t had a chance to come for a meal but it is definitely on my to do list! THANK YOU!!!! 4 months ago. Quite possibly the best coffee I have EVER tasted! Opal you are a genius! Wish there were more stars I could give you! I d just been to the doctor and was feeling shocking. Getting my coffee and almond croissant (which was devine) was the pick me up I needed to get through the day! All staff I interacted with were professional. As soon as I am well enough, I m DEFINITELY going back for a meal - the menu looks AMAZING!
Italian restaurant with amazing food.. have lots of varieties of dishes and the staff is so polite and friendly.. recommended place to go and worth trying out the food. Though price seems a bit on the higher side.
I really wanted to like voglia as it s local, but every time I ve been here I ve left disappointed. Each of the three times I got coffee the milk was burnt. Not to mention we ordered some pastries too. And I kid you not we waited 20 minutes for them to heat it up, for some reason they waited the full 20 minutes to make our coffees too, why not just give us our coffees while we wait? It was 7:30am so was hardly busy. Even once we got our pastries it was so tough and hard to eat. I m guessing the dining in experience is better so maybe we ll try one more time
I had a pasta that was missing a bit of punch. Was really just a tomato base. Where was the magic?
