One of the best Taco places in Brisbane. There was only one server but she was excellent at her job, super polite and helpful.

My tacos were cold, the gf fish taco is in fact a fish finger.

I have had Cali tacos in gold coast and it was an amazing food experience, unfortunately west end was a big let down in comparison, the chicken was grey and tasted like fish in the Hawaiian taco, they didn t have catch of the day taco, the shrimp tacos were soggy tasteless and the shrimp were not crispy. The drinks were overpriced we had the strawberry daiquiri jug for 48 dollars and it didn t even taste like there was alcohol in it. The Californian burrito was also just gray looking and overpowered by this green coriander sauce. In saying that the seasoned fries were nice and the fish taco was good.

A nice looking place and cannot fault the service, but the food itself was very underwhelming. The chicken in my taco tasted all right but was barely warm and resembled leftovers. My friend ordered the catch of the day taco which ended up being out so substituted with the crumbed fish, which again seemed barely brought up to temperature. In contrast the jalapeno poppers were sizzling hot but bland, largely rice and tomato flavoured vs the spicy, cheesy goodness of a typical jalapeno popper. The sweet potato fries were also hot and pretty tasty, probably the nicest thing we ordered. Overall Im sorry to say it was not worth the money, yet with more care in the kitchen it would definitely be a fun place to catch up with friends so hopefully they can up their game!

The food here was salty. No flavour, no seasoning just salt. Tacos are flour tortillas & had no flavour. Tacos, nachos and corn chips were all salty. Service was horrible. We came early when it was empty and as soon as people came in we weren t served. Our food was 45 minutes late after our entree!!!! We asked 3 times when our food was coming out. Couldn t wait to get out of there.

I am not gunna lie, this place is pretty expensive for burritos and tacos but the food is delicious and the staff are really prompt and courteous.

We visited California Tacos for lunch and received great service by the waitress. The food was tasty and full of flavour. They dont skimp on fillings, if you enjoy Mexican food definitely check these guys out.

I held my 21st birthday party here and it was just amazing. The staff were so helpful and kind. Macca was amazing to communicate with and shout out to Abby and Ruby for being behind the bar! They made my night so special, I have zero regrets about my venue choice!

Some insanely delicious nachos. Got the huge share plate of reef and beef tacos for $59 - fed 4 people easily. Huge prawns and great amount of toppings/sauce. Freshly made mango salsa as well! Everything is brand new and renovated - so it s comfortable and a fantastic vibe. Highly recommend!

Scratches an itch, but it s not so authentic. I was surprised by the aioli, and the carne asada isn t like any carne asada I ve had before. (Sorry, but as one San Diegan to another, I was hoping for something like home.)

Was so excited to try, but a real let down :( fish tacos under-seasoned, beef taco overly salted and undercooked tortilla, inedibly oily corn chips, gauc was fine if tiny, but the salsa was tasteless. Attractive venue so I hope they tune up the menu.

The Surf n Turf share plate if you re ordering anything else you re kidding yourself. Best feed on Boundary Street. Can t wait to comeback.

The food was absolutely delicious, the nachos were crisp with fresh guacamole, the chicken wings had crunch with a delish bbq sauce and the tacos (halloumi and beef) were bursting with flavour. All set in a clean, sleek interior playing chilled tunes that added to the vibe with super friendly staff. And the churros are a definite, these are not to be missed!! Can t wait to come back

Don t get too excited, they are SUPER stingy with their meat. Would ve been lucky to have 5g worth of beef on my nachos. My partner order extra chicken and was lucky to get 1/4 of a chicken breast. We had to go home and cook ourselves chicken to get enough protein in! For the price you pay it s disappointing, we won t be returning.

Nice pretty place with great service, but the food was underwhelming. They claim the largest nachos in Australia. 3 of us shared them @ $55 and we were hungry after. Definitely not the largest nachos in Australia and between 3 of us we tasted about 4 tiny pieces of steak each. We left hungry and had to go and eat somewhere else for dinner later on. Not as good as everyone thinks it is...a bit of a fad place.

I accidentally ordered the wrong tacos (I am a vegetarian) and the staff changed them for me no hassle when I would ve been more than happy to pay for my own mistake. Exceptional service , and great food. 5 very happy girls after California Tacos West End

Amazing food and drinks. best daiquiris Ive had in Brisbane and a nice generous size too. we had the nachos and wings and they were fantastic. cant wait to come back. Dietary restrictions: all Gluten free options are celiac safe and everything apart from the burritos is gf, so its a great place to come if you have a gluten allergy.

Honestly, the hospitality from these blokes is top notch. Walked through some narnia like entrance and found myself smack bang in Tijuana, Mexico. Old mate gave us some of Dave s hot sauce that gave my house mate a panic attack. 20/10. Go check it for yourself xoxo

Restaurant was quiet when I went in so the service was quick. The shared nachos was a monster, my partner and I saw it on instagram and thought we could do it, only got about half way. It was a great meal and Id highly recommend.

Went expecting great food and atmosphere due to all the reviews. Our food was a 5 at best. We ordered the share nachos ($55); they came out within 10 minutes and looked amazing, however, they were cold and had next to no meat on them. Youd think for the price theyd be able to atleast make it warm and add some protein. Really disappointing. Some positives; the venue was cute and our cocktails were yummy, we also had no issues booking and theres lots to do within the area after dinner

We had the share surf and turf nachos, there was literally 2 prawns cut in half and hardly any beef. We paid that much for essentially corn chips and sour cream. Pretty disappointing.

I was a bit skeptical of the prices at first but it turned out to be so worth it! I had the cali burrito which had so much filling. Even the pico de gallo and corn chips tasted way above other joints. Sure the atmos isnt amazing cause of the small location but it certainly made up for it with the food quality and speed of service. Would recommend!

Food is great, just impossible to order takeaway with out ordering at the counter. The three times we have tried to order via the phone it just rings out after numerous attempts.

Vegetarian options: had no cauliflower options and wasn t a big fan of the idea of having haloumi in my taco, got the vegetarian empanadas and they were pretty mediocre. Food

Hosted my best friends hen night in their new event space and had the most incredible evening. The team were amazing with set up and let us do whatever was needed to make the space fit what we needed. The food was amazing and the perfect selection, catering to dietary needs as well. Saxon was incredible dealing with us behind the bar all evening and ran an awesome cocktail class for us. Highly recommend hosting an event here!!
