1 Dornoch Terrace, West End QLD 4101, Australia
Traditional Turkish spot for sharing plates amid colourful lanterns, plus outdoor seating.
The cooking has me salivating just writing this. Perfect amount of food and such fresh ingredients at that. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend this establishment. The banquet is always a good choice. Photo does not do this food justice.
A very delicious meal with my family of 4. We had a variety of dishes and they were all authentic and full of wonderful flavours. I had the steak and it was perfectly prepared. The room was beautiful with a real flare from another land. Great service. We stayed in West End and it would be a nice walk but probably 20 minutes, we drove on this occasion, parking was easy.
Lunch on a Saturday. Very friendly staff. Advised mussels were best in town, and they were very good but had a bit of a kick.
Saturday night dinner. Couldn’t be happier. Party of five. Ordered two platters. Enormous amount of food. You get to try so many flavors. For dessert we shared baklava and crème brûlée. OMG. For a hot drink we ordered sahlep that was very interesting. All an all amazing night had by all.
Excellent restaurant. Very friendly greeting. Great service and wonderful food. Highly recommend and will certainly return. We were there for lunch and totally enjoyed the experience
We tired lots of entree and main options as you can see from the photos. All of them were great. Specially the feta bread. Very happy with everything.
We dined at this Turkish restaurant on Friday night, having made reservations beforehand. Our table was set and ready upon our arrival, courtesy of the incredibly friendly staff. However, the restaurant was so noisy, making it hard for us to converse, we could barely hear each other. There was also a notable wait for our meals, which, while satisfactory, didn't particularly stand out in flavor. Apart from the noise, the setting was cozy and welcoming. Overall, a mixed experience with some room for improvement.
This is a nice Turkish restaurant with lovely and accommodating staff. The food tasted good (I had the Kofta), but nothing exceptional. The portions were more than enough. The price also matches what you get. The restaurant was very busy and super noisy. We had to literally shout if we wanted to have a conversation. All in all, it was a reasonable dining experience.
Amazing food and big portions! Only note would be that the tables are a bit squished together. Luckily it wasn t that bus when we went and everything came out super quick and was delicious. We ordered the 2 person platter between 3 people and it was lots of food.
Food was yum but there are better Turkish restaurants around, the vibe was a little bit off with a lot of red or dim lighting inside
Best meal Ive had for ages - so delicious! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing banquet.
Banging food, banging service and banging baclava - can t go wrong!!
Delicious as always, the platter for two is Divine.
Amazing food with generous portions. Stunning veranda views. Friendly staff.
Very nice food and service.
I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and would award 5 stars if it wasnt for them charging $6.50 for a coke. Im all for small businesses doing well but that price makes me feel taken advantaged of and will make me pause when deciding on a return.
Excellent food, portion and service! Highly recommend
Amazing food and atmosphere
nice and interesting food
Great laid back atmosphere and vibe, service was good and our party of 4 definitely had a great night. Having a BYO option is a plus. The food is not what I would call traditional Turkish. We had a meze plate and the platter for 2. There is lots to eat so you won t go hungry. Nice food? It s OK. Don t expect traditional Turkish food. Would I go back? Maybe for the atmosphere. $60 per head.
Someone recommended this restaurant and I must say we absolutely loved eating in this place. 2 of us and we had the mussels and the chicken skewers. Everything was super tasty, well seasoned and cooked well. Generous portions of food. Great and fast service. Highly recommend!
Best Turkish in Brisbane, easily. Delicious food. Warm and attentive staff. Lovely atmosphere for date nights. Excellent for family group celebrations too.
Our first time to this place, had an authentic, vibrant feel - full of people & chatter We had the dips duo and the share platter Food was tasty and fresh I recommend the harissa dip for a bit more spice! Wish we had enough room for baklava - hopefully next time!
Best babaganoush, baklava & filo pastry of my life. Beautiful atmosphere, staff and such such good satisfying food and great value.
A bustling Brisbane classic. Dine in!!! Its amazing and the atmosphere is worth leaving the house for.
My new favourite restaurant in Brisbane, the food is so consistently amazing and great service. Recommend booking because it s deservedly popular :)
Best Turkish food ever!
Great place, beautiful atmosphere & amazing food Food
**Ambiance and Atmosphere:** Caravanserai, nestled in the vibrant West End, offers an immersive experience into Turkish culture from the moment you step through the door. The warm, welcoming decor features traditional Turkish textiles, lanterns, and intricate woodwork, creating a cozy yet exotic atmosphere that transports you to the heart of Turkey. **Food:** The culinary delights at Caravanserai are nothing short of spectacular. Their menu is a rich tapestry of authentic Turkish flavors, prepared with fresh ingredients and time-honored techniques. Here are some standout dishes: - **Mezze Platter:** A perfect starter, the mezze platter is a delightful assortment of dips, including creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and tangy tzatziki, served with warm, fluffy pita bread. The combination of textures and flavors is a fantastic introduction to the meal. - **Lamb Shank:** Slow-cooked to perfection, the lamb shank is incredibly tender and flavorful. The meat falls off the bone effortlessly and is complemented by a rich, savory sauce that pairs wonderfully with the accompanying rice and vegetables. - **Manti:** These Turkish dumplings are a must-try. Filled with spiced meat and topped with a tangy yogurt sauce and a drizzle of melted butter, they are a comforting and delicious choice. - **Baklava:** No meal at Caravanserai is complete without trying their baklava. Oh Wow! The food was amazing! The four of us had a beautiful time together. Really loved exploring the Turkish food. All of it was fantastic! Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely going back!
Cosy spot, fast and friendly service, good value, and great food. Have recommended to friends and will be back.
Delicious food! Service was kind! Perfect for friends, couples, or alone! No parking. Weekend you need to reservation. Food
Awesome food and service. Licensed and BYO.
Warm atmosphere, absolutely delicious food with great variety and reasonable pricing. This is a go to, special occasion restaurant because of the comfortable atmosphere and exciting menu options.
Food was amazing and service was incredible. A bit loud and busy for us, however it was a Friday night. Highly reccomend this place and will be back to try the foods we didn t get to try
Great atmosphere and the food was really lovely especially fig and hazelnut pudding for desert. Service was quite excellent and friendly. Highly recommended!!
This is hands down my favourite restaurant in Brisbane ! The food is amazing, it s like you re on holidays ! Staff are fabulous, everyone feels like your best friend here.excellent customer service. So welcoming. Great value. Great wine. Yum!!
Beautiful restaurant, but not great service. My partner organised a surprise dinner here for me tonight and I felt really, really special because of how lovely it looked. He was super excited too. We ordered our food, and did not receive anything for an hour. My partner asked the waitress when the food would be ready because a table in before us had their meals (which looked like the platter we d ordered) and they said they d ask for us. Minutes go by, we receive no word about the meal and it looked like the e chefs hadn t even started preparing it. It was very disheartening. We left the restaurant and they gave us a refund on our two drinks. He made the booking days in advance, so this has all been extremely disappointing and it kinda ruined the night .
The food was on point! It s a hidden gem in the city the service was quick. Food was served in generous portions everyone was happy!
The food was very flavoursome, perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff were lovely, attentive and very friendly. Our meal arrived promptly. The atmosphere was great. It is the first time that I visited Caravanserai and I will most definitely be back. Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch and experience. Food
Good food n Service.
The food was lovely, our waitress gave excellent recommendations for dishes and an appropriate amount to share. The place was pretty packed with a lively but cosy atmosphere, and the BYO aspect is unbeatable.
Food was amazing. Six of our group had the delux banquet and there was plenty to go around. Service was great - a bit of cheek and a laugh for our birthday group
Great place delicious food and excellent service
Great food and atmosphere! Quick service and food, but the venue wasnt pushy when we needed more time. Wasnt too noisy and managed to find parking on a nearby street (that wasnt too steep!). A Brisbane institution and worth coming back to.
Incredible food and great ambience. Tuesday banquet was excellent value
The food here is outstanding. Service is above what youd expect and food comes out fast. Plenty of seating, but not much parking.
Always fantastic food and great service.
Great tasting food and attentive service.
Hubby surprised me to dinner out on Valentines Day. The food was awesome. All meats were cooked to perfection. The spicy fig chutney was our favourite on the share platter for an entree. Staff were vibrant and gave great service. We sat watching the kitchen by choice. They kitchen staff are a very well oiled machine. This was a very fairly priced dinner. The quality was great. Thank you all for a fantastic night. We will certainly be coming back.
Amazing place for genuine Turkish food, atmosphere, and service! Staff went out of their way to accommodate dietary requests. A West End gem
One of my favorite restaurants and the quality and ambiance never changes
Really enjoyed my experience here. Good atmosphere and fantastic service.
Dining in this restaurant on the hottest day of the year with no air conditioning made for a very unpleasant experience. Drinks menu very poor choices. The food quality was not as good as experienced at other Turkish restaurants. Server was nice and did her job well.
New Year s Eve 2023 excellent service, delicious meals. The only disappointing thing was we were asked to place our orders as their kitchen closes at 8.30.. considering we had only been seated for half an hour, this did not give us much time to appreciate the food. I d recommend an early booking, for its a very nice restaurant
Great food and good service. Highly recommended
So many years and family celebrations here, and still just so good! Everything on the plate bursts with flavour, and it is best to share so you can taste everything.
Love this place but the owner shouldnt make the wait staff use such an archaic system to take orders, work out the change etc. The staff are very friendly but always a little harried it seems - its no wonder when you have such a busy restaurant with such an outdated way of operating. Last night, the paper docket for one of my orders got lost and the order came out wrong (I dont blame the staff at all for this). The staff were quick to fix it and it didnt affect the quality of our evening at all. I have been multiple times and will even be back next weekend because the food is excellent, the staff are lovely, and the atmosphere is superb. But for goodness sake, please consider updating your system (for the sake of your lovely staff). Receipt attached for proof of outdatedness.
Wow! Fantastic on all counts. Felt welcome from the time we arrived till we left. Magnificent food and amazing wait staff. Thank you
Average food, no very good, no very bad, nice staff, but we had a hard time here, because they dont have air conditioning, so its a very small place, in the Brisbane summer, with a few fans around, we had a very bad experience for this.
I went to this restaurant 20 years ago and went back again last week and it is still as amazing. I live out of town or would come more regularly. I love their banquet as you get to try a bit of everything. The goats cheese filo and the chicken shish are amazing. Love all the home made dips at the start too. Anndd the baklava!!! yum. Such incredible value and it was the perfect amount of food. Nothing left at the end but all stuffed.
Food was OK, desert was good, service was good. Nothing special but worth a visit if you are in the area
Amazing as always!
Caravanserai in West End is definitely worth checking out if you want atmosphere and a vibe. From the moment you walk in, youll feel like youve been transported to a different place - the decor and vibe are just that good. However, while the atmosphere is great, the food is just okay. Its not bad by any means, but its definitely not the star of the show. That being said, the service is good and quick, so you wont have to wait long to dig in. If youre looking for a great spot to enjoy the sunset in the early evening, be sure to ask to sit on the balcony at the back. Its a great spot to take in the view and enjoy a drink with friends. All in all, Caravanserai is a great spot for a night out with friends or a cozy dinner for two. While the food isnt the main attraction, the atmosphere more than makes up for it. So if youre in the mood for a change of scenery, head over to Caravanserai and get ready to be transported to another world!
Great Turkish restaurant.
I went two times and both times excellent food! They allow you to bring your own alcohol (thing that I love!), good food and service!
The place and staff are amazing, great vibes and just an overall awesome vibe. The food is the game changer...so fresh and delicious! each dish is special, hummus, baba-ganoush, seafood, mediterranean olives and feta cheese, just amazing!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GUYS but most importantly, the beautiful Boss Lady Michelle is the key to all this success.
The food is always great, but not cheap and there can be a bit more of a wait than you may expect. The garlic bread and Turkish delight alone are worth the visit though. Vegetarian options could be better - after one visit you will have had an enjoyable meal, but will also have had all the options worth trying. Vegetarian options: The cigars are nice but smallish. The veggie meze are nice, but really missing good replacements for some of the meaty ones. On the whole, I would not recommend the restaurant if you are a group of vegetarians only, or maybe just for once. But if you happen to be there in a mixed group, you can still have an enjoyable experience.
Delicious and amazing food! The meat platter for 2 was even good for 3 people and the fresh bread was out of this world
Best Eastern Mediterranean food and mussels in Brisbane, and BYO!
I was told by a good friend to go try something different.... WELL... what an amazing experience. We were welcomed with open arms by Damien. Then came the food....The Delux Sultanas Banquet came..... the food was delicious.. tasty .... flavours so amazing.... the four of us had a lovely time.... the wine was also good at a reasonable price. I highly recommend a visit .... the only negative the air-conditioning was not working inside.... so a little hot. Atmosphere was great. I will be back.....thanks Damien for making our night fantastic...
Fantastic food. Was there on a Friday. Packed. Very noisy. Not great for a romantic night out. Can hardly hear yourself Vegetarian options: There were sufficient Vegetarian options.
Great food - we ordered the sublime platter which was more than enough for 2. Fantastic service - everyone was friendly and attentive. Thanks you!!! Will definitely come back!
Great Turkish food, we had the Tuesday discount banquet. Dont be fooled by the mezze size, the rest will fill you up. Parking: Finding a car park in west end can be problematic at anytime. Carpool If you can all fit in 1 or 2 cars
Such a lovely dining experience ! Service was wonderful, meals were served quickly, the banquet was amazing. Enjoyed the salmon.. and oh, the Apple Tea! Dessert was beautiful .. turkish delight melts in your mouth and the fig pudding was a taste sensation! Will go again! Vegetarian options: Plenty of options Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is street level if seated outside. There are a lot of stairs to the toilet, so not so easy for disabled folk with walking issues/ no toilet access for wheelchair folk.
Highly recommend! Book ahead as very popular. Great dining out experience. They know their stuff and they do it well. Loved sharing the banquet with friends. Great combination of delicious food.
Massive portion sizes, excellent food and overall an immersive experience where you get a feel of the Turkish culture. Would highly recommend the platter for 2 people as it comes with a wide variety of different bites for consumption.
Parking: Everyone ran late because there was no parking around Food
Expensive food but great taste
First time here. Perfect for groups. Great food and wonderful, friendly staff and service. Will definitely be going again as a family!
Highly recommend! Book ahead as very popular. Great dining out experience. Chef special is wonderful. Will back definitely!
Beautiful place, wonderful service and seucy chefs & manager and beautiful owner. Really enjoyed there and will surely return again.
We had a wonderful party for my husband with 36 guests. We couldn t have asked for a better evening of fun and delights! Special thanks to Nik for being such an attentive waiter.
I love caravanserai and come here every few months. The food is fantastic, but we did get three bowls of burnt bread but they did give us extra to make up for it. Service was great and with only three staff in the kitchen it is crazy the food was brought out soo quick. The bathroom was a little gross so one star lost for atmosphere. I would recommend caravanserai.
Beautiful food and Nick was amazing
We were a group of 10 and shared a delicious banquet menu. The food was so tasty and the service was friendly and helpful. The desserts were a highlight.
Always enjoy dining at Caravan Serai. Food is excellent and the unique decor makes for a great experience overall. Each time I go the experience gets better. Cant wait for the next visit.
A place to wow your date or spouse. Foods great, and combined with the ambiance, makes this venue a sure winner.
Overall great experience but Wait Staff were over worked and a great pity about the Turkish Coffee machine not being working
Loved it here! So busy but so well organised that ordering and wait times were minimal. Definitely recommend the share platter, yum! Food
look, for the authentic experience, take at least four people and order the sultans banquet. Order extra baklava. Its house made i can bore you with details, but look...this is one of the best foodie experiences in Brisbane. Seriously, the food and service is amazing. Do yourself a favour and come here. Everything is delectable
Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful food!!
Excellent evening out. Beautiful food. Excellent service. Very accomodating.
Visited your beautiful restaurant tonight and was blown away. The food was out of this world The staff were very friendly and welcoming The place was buzzing We will return to try more from the menu although the sublime platter was too good not to order again. The Turkish sangria was refreshing and hit the spot too. Thank you. Even shared a baklava to end the night. Sooo good.
I was made welcome the minute I walked in. The waitstaff were lovely. We had a verandah table overlooking Westend at night. Indoor and footpath tables are also available. Service was very efficient and the food was gorgeous. We had garlic pide, mixed dips, chicken and couscous, kofta, and shishkebabs. The servings are generous.
Food is average, service was good.
Love Caravanserai! The food is super fresh and space has a great vibe.
What a place! Atmosphere, Staff and the food was to die for! Wish we didn t live so far away, we would be there all the time Affordable too My favourite restaurant hands down
Great place Parking: Halal option available Food : 4/5 |
Nice place for great Turkish food. The service is very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is nice and cosy. Specials on a Tuesday. Recommend to book a table. The two seater tables are a little bit tight for shared platters. The food is amazing. There is more space towards the back and the restaurant has amazing views at the back. the food is really delicious and well presented and the waiters are well informed and make great recommendations. Definitely recommend the turkish delight dessert. Fabulous after dinner tea collection.
Our table of 8 ordered the banquet and it was divine! Two vegetarians in our group were happy with the delicious dips and breads, quinoa, rice, mushrooms, marinated roasted thinly sliced veges and nuts. Everything aromatic and flavoursome. The chicken kebabs were generous, juicy and so flavoursome. The meatballs absolutely yummy. The prawns yum. We were so full! And yet we still managed to really enjoy baklava, Turkish delight, fig pudding (such a delight!) & Turkish coffee in lovely little cups, or apple tea. Flavours linger lightly on the tongue. Have been before, and will definitely keep returning!
Best baklava of my life. great place, vibes, food and service. From Melbourne and cannot wait to go back to Brisbane JUST for this restaurant. Food
Food & athmosphere was excellent, they forgot half the cutlery / glasses but over all i would visit again for sure & recommended it to my friends,
Wonderful....Food was awesome. We were on a date night. My partner chose well. Waitress suggested sticky fig and hazelnut pudding to share. Nice ending to our lovely night. Food
Extremely busy, delicious food.. can be noisy.. Its definitely worth it
Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful people and excellent food. The platter for 2 is so perfectly cooked i didn t know you can get so many different flavours on 1 plate! It is outstanding and an absolute experience. We had also the mussels in a wine buttery broth that is mouthwatering and so yummy with the real Turkish bread. Go and give it a try and enjoy.
Atmosphere is nice but this is NOT a TURKISH Restaurant offering Turkish food! We ordered the big plater for two, and nothing in that plater was Turkish or middle easterner! Aussie meatballs, roasted veggies and halloumi?!!! Prawn with some english sauce and Chicken skewers with plenty of Indian spice ! Very expensive as well! Wasn t expecting this, will not be back here !
Had the best dinner here with impeccable service.
Packed out for a reason. This is our go to for date night. It is still the same great place
Kid-friendliness: No kids dishes on menu. No straws either. Food
Delish food, service very good. Had one of the banquets and everyone left satisfied. Only downside is it can be a tad noisy inside when it is busy :)
Good food, good people, good place
Was looking forward to eating something different and got there at like 8 turned away cause apparently they ran out of food yeah right !!
Another beautiful evening spent here! The food is in a league of its own and our server was so attentive. It was such a hot evening and she kept us hydrated with multiple jugs of ice cold water! Thank you so much, it was a group meet up and we come here every time. I look forward to organising a date night here soon.
Flavours bursting in your mouth- yummm just beautiful. Meats are so tender everything is delicious. Service is always with a smile by caring and happy people.
Caravanserai was so accommodating when I hosted a rather large gathering of 33 people. This included quite a few people with dietary requirements. Despite the chaos of trying to sit and feed so many people, the staff were so friendly and helpful and everyone in the party commented on how delicious the food was (gluten free, dairy free, vegetarians and vegans included). They went out of their way to make us feel like family, giving extra attention and treats to the little ones.
Amazing place, the atmosphere is warm and cozy with ambient lighting! Have been here a handful of times and always get the platter for two to share with the hubby, its quick and delicious!
An all round great experience. Would highly recommend.
Must orders: The platter!!!! Everything on it is PERFECTION The mussels - this is so delicious and everyone I bring here also love love love the mussels here. With the Turkish bread dipped into the soup it comes in it is just soooo delicious!! I wish I could recommend more from the menu as I m sure it s all lovely but we always cave in and get the platter and mussels because they re just SOOOO good so we never have space for other mains. Desserts/ the pudding in butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream is soo yummy. Baklava ok. I sing nothing but praises for this restaurant- they and Taboon on the GC are top tier. Amazing flavours, so balanced and healthy and just WOW every time. Btw also the service here is really attentive and nice, they do get busy on weekends so make sure to call up beforehand.
Gorgeous food. I highly recommend the sublime platter for 2. Definitely going again.
All of the food was amazing and the staff were great. Most delicious baclava ever.
Good food, and great taste!
We come here regularly for date night for the amazing food, intimate ambience and BYO wine. The service is always next to none. Thank you thank you thank you for unwavering quality!
This is a great little suburban gem with awesome food and wonderful ambiance. If it s your first time you simply can t go past the Deluxe Sultans banquet. You won t go home hungry! It goes without saying that one of the best things about this place is that it s BYO! How fab! There s a bottle shop just across the road too in case you don t come prepared. Uber don t drive!
Awesome.food Awesome.service.in this bustling restaurant. 100% will return
Absolutely amazing. The food is fresh and the taste is amazing. There are just so many flavours and the atmosphere was great on a Friday night. Will definitely be back.
Decent enough food, definitely not Turkish though. I am Turk and never have I ever heard of Apple Tea being a national drink lol It is Raki.
Dined 4/6/22. Excellent food and great value for money. Service very good. That impressed that we booked a table of 8 for a family dinner in a few weeks time.
Absolutely beautiful
Great food. We had a medium group and the service was very good.
The most delicious Turkish food and a lovely ambience. We went here for my birthday as a large group. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious and fresh will be back! Book in , this place is popular. Also as with many restaurants , it s not open on a Monday. Highly recommend
Western style menu than traditional Turkish restaurant. Slow customer service.
Fabulous lamb shanks, fabulous baklava and great service. I can t wait to go back!
Takes ages for our food to be ready and served. People before use who are in a smaller group get their food before use. Smh
Absolutely stunning restaurant very homey and very vibrant. The food was exquisite in tase and presentation, and the backlava...100-100 perfect in every way. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience
The platter for 2 at $72 is a steal with the amount of food you get! Was stuffed! The halloumi, meatballs, and green bean salad was epic - oh and the pide
This place was absolutely amazinggg! I ve been looking for a good reliable Turkish restaurant and I definitely found one. The flavours were divine, the kofta and the meat was so soft, the spinach and feta filo pastry was perfect too! Amazing charcoal grilled flavour on the meats and prawn, and the dips/sauces were fantastic. Service was also great, we didn t make a booking but one of the waiters were able to squeeze us in for an hour and a half. Highly recommend.
The food was good but for the price I was extremely disappointed. We had a party of 6 and I felt that we were given food for a party of 4.
Food were flavorless and was not Turkish style.
Phenomenal Turkish food, took my taste buds right back to my time in Istanbul 2013. My date and I got the sharing option for starter and a platter for main and it was a great choice, a good mix of options to graze on and the staff were delightful. My top restaurant in brisbane.
Great food and excellent customer service (we booked very late and they still accommodated us with a pram).
Would give 6 stars if I could, food is amazing, great atmosphere and super service
Great food, super friendly servants, coming back
People who has experience with turkish food and service never put 5 stars to this place. Horrible. Thats not turkish food just with turkish seasoning))))
Great location, ambience and food.
Fantastic, tasty food with plenty of choice. Excellent, friendly staff and efficient service. The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday but the food came out promptly and with a smile. Highly recommended
Good food, good service, just a bit crowded and tables too close together.
Our favourite Turkish restaurant in Brisbane. We have never been disappointed with the service and food. If you havent tried this place, you are missing out
Searching for dinner and came upon this place serendipitously. Service is speedy and the food tasty. We sat inside which wasnt too crowded or overly noisy. There is street dining which would be a good choice for the warmer months. Subdued lighting and a cosy corner tucked in behind the main door gave us some privacy but also a view of the street. We shared the platter for two which is attached. It was a good size which left us agreeably full but with room for dessert. Recommend the baklava and the Turkish delight followed by an Arabic coffee. If you like a sweet tea try the apple tea. You wont be disappointed. Price wise its good value. Including a drink each, dinner, desserts and tea and coffee it was $121 for the both of us. Got this on the list for a return trip with friends as they do reasonably priced banquets.
Always beautiful food, so impressed with service, atmosphere and quality of food. Delicious flavours, great spot for any occasion! A regular of ours.
Always a favourite to visit for special occasions. Food is brilliant. We had the 3 course banquet, plenty of food for 4 adults and a child. Only negative is the black plastic chairs on verandah need replacing, and the place needs some TLC. This would have to be the most authentic turkish restaurant in Brisbane
We loved it
Great food...Great service
Dined in with a group of friends. Food was bland and disappointing, filling but not what we expected for a establishment that looked like it would serve food above expectations.
Great food and service. I highly recommend the set menu for a group.
Very tasty. Attentive and understanding staff Love It
Could have been more better, service and food !
Very welcoming. Delicious food and lovely outside spot. Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian selection Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options. Pilaf was mouthwateringly tasty.
Ridiculous! A group of around 17 went for dinner to be told when we tried to pay that they wouldn t split the bill. That meant someone had to cough up $950!! I asked to see the manager but he would not come out, and left it to a junior staff member to hear my complaint. I explained to him that 1. It was very unreasonable to expect one person to pay that amount. 2. That he should have told us upfront and 3. If the tables were separated by inches we would not be having the conversation. We then spent 20 mins trying to work out who would pay and how we would transfer money into his account. It really spoiled the experience. We will not be back.
One of the best turkish food experiences we ve had. Make sure you don t miss out on their turkish delights after you re done with the main course. We were luckily hungry enough to try almost everything on their menu and were left speechless with every bite. I can t recommend their Fig Hazelnut pudding enough and will probably rate it as one of my favourite desserts till date. Hats off to their lovely staff and service to make it all feel so magical.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food very good. They provided a candle for our birthday cake and, also, were happy to accommodate our little toddler and give him a high chair.
Partner and I got the sharing platter for 2 and the Turkish lemonade and both were delightful. The platter was a great way to introduce ourselves to range of cuisine and figure out our favourites for when we come back! Personal favourite was the chicken shish kabob and the lamb. The Turkish lemonade was refreshing and sweet. Quick service too for a Saturday night.
The food is amazing in Caravanserai. Fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and wonderfully tasty. The mussels are to die for as the same goes for lamb ribs. Their salad is topnotch. Their frangelico fig mousse is out of this world. Simply amazing food. Now the question is why the overall 4 stars? The service is ok but the time between entrees and mains is an extended long wait. This spoilt the mood on continuance of our gastronomical experience and hence the drop in stars. The atmosphere is authentic but the drop in stars is for the restrooms. They may have to also maintain or get new restrooms.
Wonderful tasty cuisine and lovely staff. The decor was astounding.
Brilliant food and atmosphere. The chairs could be more comfortable Unfortunately they kind of kick you out just before 10 pm on Saturday night ! as the staff must go home ! Which was a bit disappointing
Bit disappointing-a wine list was provided but after ordering a bottle we were delivered a completely different wine and told the wines always change and the wines on menu were not available- strange and not a great start to our evening. Dips disappointing as were vegetarian option of roast vegys - mussels and kofta excellent mixed bag on dessert - all in all just average!
Loved it all - flavours, service, vibe. Too good! A great Friday night out with friends
I havent been here in years. Came in for a Saturday night dinner, booked ahead. It was extremely busy, with a fair bit of background noise. From arriving at the door to getting our order taken was about 20 minutes, the food and drinks were out within the next 5, which seemed wild considering how packed the place was. We ordered 2 meze platters and the large share platter for 2 between 3 very hungry people, probably wouldve suited 4. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the service to the ambience and the food was out of this world. It was the same quality and taste I remember from coming here as a teen! You should absolutely book ahead to make sure you can get a table, would recommend for small gatherings but it may be a little loud for a romantic date.
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff and excellent food. All three mains were very tasty but the desserts were just outstanding. Will definitely come back when I am in Brisbane again. Highly recommend this place.
Really good value meals, lovely location and staff! I will definitely be back!
