Vietnamese Restaurant
I absolutely love the pho here. Huge portions, so fresh and the staff are so so friendly. Will always come back on days I need a comforting warm hug in the form of pho!
Really good Vietnamese with HUGE portions. Have been to Ca Phe Nam a couple times now, and it is some of the best Vietnamese food in Brisbane outside Inala. All of their pho is amazing, the broth is pretty good and the meat is a highlight. The large pho is a huge portion, and great value for money. The special rice dish is also a really good choice, and quite filling. Service is friendly, although can take a little while if it’s busy. Overall not the best Vietnamese in Brisbane, but very consistent and great value for money gives it 5 stars.
One of the best phos I’ve had in my life. So fresh and delicious. The prices are really good value too. The staff were friendly. I will definitely be back and with more friends
Small casual Vietnamese restaurant serving traditional dishes. The food was ok... The vermicelli noodles with combination meat had a good portion size, but the spring rolls were soggy, and the nuoc cham was too heavy on the salty and sour side and not enough of the sweet and spicy side. The beef pho didn't have great balance - the broth was slightly more acidic than it should be and quite oily. The meat was nice and tender tho. Service was quick but overall kind of a meh experience.
Really nice staff members and very fast food to come out. HUGE portions, especially of the noodles dish. Had to take some home. Great price as well considering how big it was, wowee! Good flavour, lots of meat, nice veges and just overall a chill venue. They let you BYO alcohol too, which is really nice.
The pho is great value for the price with good portions and tasty flavours. Highly recommended!
Possibly the best Pho in Australia!! I lived in Australia for 12 years and loved pho so much since I was a teenager. It is better than any Pho in Melbourne where I live. The Pho here recall my memory when I had my first pho in my life back in 2003-ish. The soup is so tasty and left a sweetness flavour in your mouth every time you bring the noodle and soup to your mouth. That’s the flavour that I started love eating Pho! Well done! Highly recommended!
Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food that touches our heart! Fresh ingredients, great portion and good price. Our favourites are combination Pho, combination vermicelli, grilled pork chops with rice…
My favourite place for pho! And the banh mi is great as well
A bit disappointed. I am a Banh Mi lover and wanted to find anew local now that I m no longer in Darra every Wednesday. But I was sorely disappointed. I ve never had Banh Mi with Gravy in it. I also asked for no chilli. There was chilli. And there was hardly any crispy pork in the sandwich. Just the fleshy bits with a few pieces of crackling. Didn t look very appetising either, considering how delightful banh mi usually look. As in, they re always vibrant and appetising. Forgot to take a pic before, but I took the pic, just to show that this was a real review. And I was just disappointed. Yes, the flavour was still nice enough. But requests not followed and skimpy on key ingredients like the crispy top (crackling) which is a main reason of why I order it to begin with. Mind you, I have been here for Pho in the past, and that was exceptional. So perhaps just don t expect the banh mi to be as good as their noodles.
I have been here twice, one of the best Vietnam restaurants in my mind for now! Thank you!
Very delicious foods and large portions of Pho.
The food is amazing and very generous portions! I ve been eating here for a few years and have never been disappointed.
Cant wait to be back here to try the rest of the menu!
Great Vietnamese food at affordable prices.
A pretty awesome place for a large bowl of pho soup.
The portion is really big, and its also quite delicious. If you have an average appetite, ordering a medium portion of rice noodles will make you feel full.
Delicious authentic Vietnamese food served in large portions! One of my favorite places to eat Viet food!
I was so impressed by how good the food was here - honestly one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I ve been to in Brisbane. Not only was the food delicious, and authentic, the portions were huge. What a plus! We got a Noodle Bowl which was solid and exactly what we were looking for (great combo meal) but what was truly the star of the show was the pho. The broth was so rich and flavourful - I will be back specifically for this! What a neighborhood gem.
Highly recommended. Authentic and delicious foods, good prices too .
Best pho in Brisbane
I dropped into this place randomly for a quick lunch. Tasty food and reasonable prices. Be prepared to wait a little bit extra because they are a little slow to serve your order. But overall, it s a nice experience.
Great service customer and affordable costs
A 10 no but! All other dishes are done right and yummy too.
The best noodle soup in Brisbane. Can totally understand why they are sitting at 4.9 star rating. Definitely recommend.
pork chop was super tender and the meat loaf was very flavourful! highly recommend
Their Pho is so far the best i ve had in Brisbane - (real viet boy)
The quantity is very large and the taste is relatively light, but I like it very much. I will definitely come again.
The pho was flavorful and rich, with perfectly cooked noodles and tender meat. The portion is so large that the bowl feels like a washbasin. The service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend this place for delicious, authentic pho!
45 minutes waiting. Good food. Nice atmosphere
Consistently excellent food. Best bun bo hue in Brisbane!
The best pho all over the world!!!! You must try it before you die !!! Food
Tastier than any pho in Melbourne
delicious and large pho
Good food, pho bowl is massive! Reasonable price!
A no frills Vietnamese café with some pretty good food and seriously huge noodle soup bowls! Ca Phe Nam is located along the busy Vulture St in West End, about a block away from the major intersection with Boundary St. Traffic in these parts was pretty heavy around noon on a Saturday, though thankfully we managed to find some street parking not too far away. Tables are pretty cosy inside. There are also some outside seats. We were fortunate that a table freed up just as we were arriving. The menu here comprises the typical things youd expect to see in a Brisbane Vietnamese eatery, with mains centred around vermicelli, pho (noodle soup), and rice dishes. Its also pretty uncomplicated in that all mains are $18, though the noodle soups have a large(er) size option at $20. Theres also banh mi (mostly $10), which Ive heard are pretty good here so thatll be next time I think. On this visit I had a large bun bo hue (spicy soup) and was pretty wowed at the size of the bowl that came out... This dish comes with beef shank, sliced pork leg, ham, and beef balls, and a whole lot of soup. I dont think there ended up being a heap of noodles in it, though it may have been a perspective issue given the size of the container they were in. Oh and the size of the soup spoon is another jaw-dropper, though maybe I should say jaw-breaker cos if you tried to fit that thing in your mouth... In any case, the BBH was great, and hot in both temperature and spiciness senses of the word. To top off the experience I washed my lunch down with a can of roasted coconut juice that comes with bits of coconut flesh inside. Also pictured are a rice and pho dish my friends had. Parking: Theres limited parking at the back, otherwise street parking is your best bet. However the general area is very busy and crowded on Saturday mornings. Took a bit of circling and managed to get 1 on-street parking spot.
vermicelli combination sooooooooooo GOOD
Used to be good when they first opened Recently came back not as authentic taste, im confused why so high rating? The locals never visit / or heard of Inala huh ...
Awesome crispy pork belly bahn me w chill. Great service too! Big ups! Food
The pho was so delicious, great balance of broth, noodles and beef. Super friendly staff too! I will be coming back here Food
A long-established restaurant in Brisbane I went there on the recommendation of a Korean taxi driver, and although it wasnt something I would go out of my way to do as a tourist, the banh mi and rice noodles were delicious! My child left behind the koala doll he bought at Lone Pine Sanctuary and I went to pick it up again. Thank you for keeping it well
Im Vietnamese and the crispy pork belly bánh mì was so authentic it brought me straight back home! Will come back and try other dishes.
My most favorite Vietnamese restaurant at west end. The bun mi bread always nice and spicy beef noodle soup delicious too.
First of all, it was very difficult to find a parking space. It took me 15 minutes to find a location. The shop was not big, and the tables and chairs were not very clean. I ordered Bach Mi without carrots. Not only did the bread come with carrots, but it was also soft and cold. The taste of pho was average and very bland. I don t know why it was there. The rating of 4.8 is far behind the pho on the Gold Coast. I will never come back. There is no service at all.
My favorite rice noodle soup in Brisbane!
Amazing quality of food! Been here 4 times now and each time the food was exceptional. The pho is especially amazing with depth of flavours and a tasty broth. Highly recommended!
Delicious freshly made banh mi with plenty of traditional options available. Grilled pork was amazing, with fresh salad, pate and chilli complementing the fresh baguette. Iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk rounded out the meal.
Awesome food and great price.
Combination beef pho...swimming pool size and amazing value
Probably best banh mi place ever! I had beef pho and bun bo hue, it s above average. Very cozy and service is top! Would def be back again.
Got the combination and was pretty solid !
Pho is a little bit salty. environment is just like street food Too many people with not enough staff to keep everything in order, such as cleaning up the table.
Great pho, bun bo hue and com tam. Banh mi was ok. Overall, favourite Viet restaurant in Brisbane city area.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Vietnamese restaurant in West End Brisbane and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The standout dish for me was their massive $19 pho - it was absolutely delicious and could easily feed a family of four! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff making sure our meal was enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese cuisine in Brisbane!
Two guys shared 2 rice paper rolls and a big size of Pho soup. - Generous amount of Pho soup. It will be better to add meat next time - Fresh veggies, and clear soup. - It s good to take extra bowls and big spoon to share from the reception - No surcharge with paying card Would like to visit again and try other Pho soup. Thank you
it is delicious! The rice noodle soup is delicious and the rice paper roll is also delicious. I ordered the wrong combination of rice noodles. There are so many internal organs that I throw them all away haha. Please report well.
Best beef pho! Smelt too delicious, hence no photos....sorry. I can tell you though, that it looks delicious and refreshing. Comes with a separate bowl of chillis, bean sprouts, basil sprigs, a lemon wedge. As well as a side of sauces. Will definitely travel from Sunshine Coast to have this again. Good job Ca Phe Nam.
OMG FOOD SO AUTHENTIC. MUST TRY IN Brisbane!!!!! I wish they open till late..... late night food / pho must be amazing. It is very hard to find good crispy Banh xeo in Brisbane. But I found it!!! Banh xeo is very crispy as it should. So good. R t ngon Also the owner/son they are very friendly people . Staff can not speak English too well but he is very kind and try to communicate with you. I really appreciate it. I will be back.... for sure. Quan an ca phe Nam rat ngon. Banh xeo r t ngon. Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Vegan. Vegetarian. Available Parking: U can park in front of the restaurant. Free. Kid-friendliness: Yep Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.
Limited seatings indoor. Lack of customer service. $17 for medium size combination beef pho. Huge portion and the taste was good.
Great food, good quantity and super tasty
hole in the wall restaurant with reasonable and delicious banh mis.
Most of our stuff was pretty good, but the bun bo hue was too spicy for our taste, didn t have shrimp paste in it like typical, and not a lot of toppings. Overal size was good though.
This place offers a generous serving of food that you can enjoy. The staff and owners are very nice and welcoming. The meatballs in the vermicelli salads could be made better as they sometimes taste oily. I highly recommend trying their Pho and Bun Bo Hue, they are delicious!
Edit on 4 June: Have been visiting them. Very good pho and grilled pork rice! I love how big the bowls are! ______________________________________________ Very tasty Banh Mi and Pho. Banh Mi: bun was toasted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Crackling was crispy and tasty. Pho: delicious broth and well cooked rice noodles. Portion of beef was generous. Water filter tap is mouldy you can see bits of mould inside... Best to change it out before someone falls sick. Hands down one of the best pho in Brisbane. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food, so authentic and delicious. Fantastic service, a real hidden jewel in West End
THE BEST PHO in Brisbane. We always get the large pho with extra noodles and meat and share it between the two of us. The serving size is generous and we always leave feeling SO FULL. I like how the restaurant has spare bowls and cutlery at easy access instead of having to ask for them. Constantly craving pho from here. @rolgaeats on TikTok and Instagram
Food is amazing. Service has gotten better. I used to wait 15mins for food but this time I got my food within 10mins!
Finally found a decent Vietnamese Food in Brisbane recommended!! Big portions, fast service
Tasty and authentic Vietnamese. Just like in Cabramatta!
Very tasty! Warm and comfortable place to have an authentic Vietnamese food. The roasted pork was very special!
Best food, good service
There s one thing you come here for and that s the authentic, amazingly yummy Vietnamese foods. Their traditional BMT (banh mi thit) hits the spot everytime. I still love the OG Scotts Rd Darra BMT but nowadays I m closer to city and Southside and this place takes top place , when i can get out to Westside. The phone smells amazing and comes loaded with goods at a very reasonable price.
One of the best banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake)- go with the original pork and prawn. Friendly service too
Be Rule and Very BAD customer services, bad attitude after receiving a complaint about the Banh Xeo!!!! From the owner!! I tried to give them a chance by revisiting. And the owner said I think you should order something else because last time you said it was not fresh what the hell??? You mean you could not make it better this time even I still ordered the same thing. That s mean I still had a little trust that you could make it better!!! Went far from there to just to get a disapointment. ???????? Crazy enough! Will not go back there any one more time!
Steady and friendly service all year round, great for a quiet night of authentic spicy beef soup along with the best banh mis youll find in west end. Great small family business - you can tell they work hard and care about the quality of their food. Fantastic price for value! I go there frequently as its guaranteed to be good every time!
best pho!!
The portion is large and delicious. The soup is delicious. Ordered a big bowl of beef tendon 17
worse banh mi I have ever had, the chicken blood inside is terrible i also bought beef and beefball pho, the noodle is bad quality
It was a really long wait even for takeaway, they dont separate takeaway orders and eat in orders. There was no instructions on how long it would take or where to stand to wait either. The bread used for the banhmi were baguettes from coles / woolies. And because they were baguettes, the cutting size of the bread was very inconsistent. Definitely not the ones on display in front of the counter. Pork belly flavour was good but grilled chicken was just mediocre. Was looking forward to 4.8star level restaurant but definitely wasnt. Much cheaper than everywhere else though so still got 3 stars for the food. Went back a 2nd time and they were using banhmi buns. Much much better. Pho was great too.
Dining at Cà Phê Nam offered a remarkable experience, particularly highlighted by their exquisite Rare Beef Pho. The restaurants warm and cosy and simple ambiance set the stage for a authentic dining experience. The Rare Beef Pho itself was a culinary delight, featuring a rich, aromatic broth, tender slices of beef, and perfectly cooked noodles, complemented by fresh basil, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños for a customizable flavor. The service at Cà Phê Nam was equally impressive, with attentive and polite staff enhancing the overall experience. Super friendly quick service.
Amazing authentic food. Would be better if they have more seats. It gets busy pretty quickly.
Just visited. Not many Vietnamese restaurants around but had a bad experience
Havent visited for a while but its as good as I remember. the atmosphere is nice, staff are polite, and its really really clean. Food never disappoints. I really enjoyed my bahn mi today. Ive had the pho and the vermicelli salads in the past and they have always been fantastic. They also have a good selection of drinks in the fridge.
Good tasty food. Chicken pho.
Best pho ever. Highly recommended
Pho so tasty. Will have again.
The food is really good but i had to wait almost 1hour for the food to come.
Best bowl of pho in Brisbane.
Divine pho
Super tasty and super friendly staff! Eat here a lot, favourite is the pancake!!
Good prices and epic portions!
Fantastic find, great food (the rare beef pho was full of flavour), great service, great value for money. Will be back
Excellent Pho. 1 of the best in this area!
Pho s good. Bowls are massive
The pho that I ate in Korea was not pho. It was my first time seeing delicious pho, the soup was amazing, and the Vietnamese ssam was also delicious. I have to come here to eat banh mi before I go to Korea.
Best pho in Brisbane. Beats the ones at Inala. The pho broth is rich and flavourful and the portion sizes are generous
Delicious!
Been going here for more years than I care to admit. Change of management hasnt made a difference and it is still consistently the best Banh mhi I have had in Brisbane.
Bloody good banh mi
Very reasonably priced and very good combination Pho. We visited for the second time, they kept their standard.
Parking: Around the back
Great pho - good price and massive bowls
Pho as big a toilet bowl! More tasty too
God-tier Bahn Mi.
Great food, clean restaurant, happy faces, brilliant!
The best Bún bò Hu in all of Brisbane. The banh mi were also delicious. The staff is really nice and provide excellent service. I have eaten there four times In three days, I cannot get enough! 10/10
Absolutely awesome food with great service! Very good pricing as well!! I would definitely recommend this place for a delicious lunch.
The Pho was actually amazing
They do the real viet food deal here. The pho is massive and delish especially the spicy one which is nice and spice time super awesome yes!
Great little family-run Vietnamese place...we had Banh Mi sandwiches and rice-paper rolls, with Vietnamese iced coffees. My 16-year-old said its the best lunch hes had in a long time, and I was similarly stoked. Parking tip if youre driving: look a few blocks away, either in the direction of Southbank, Montague Road or away from the city. Parking along the main streets is scarce. (And check your signs and use your parking-pay apps; its a prime spot to get ticketed if you dont.)
I am not from Vietnam but I go to this store with my boyfriend almost every Wednesday or Thursday. Pho for winter and vermicelli & coconut juice for summer. Everything is not too heavy not too light just perfect enough. What touched me most was that when we ordered vermicelli today, as we ordered pho almost every time, the staff double checked with us. Thank you!
Really hearty bun bo hue though I wish it had a bit more vermicelli in the medium. Good level of spice and tender meat. The broth was very very shrimpy though. Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk was very good and strong just as I needed.
Good value for money
Amazing
Fantastic crispy pork roll done just right. Pho was just as good but a little sweet(but thats probably personal preference)
The best Vietnamese in the city operated by a Vietnamese couple and the price and portion of the food are just amazing
Best pho is Brisbane hands down. Never had a bad one.. Bahn mi is super good too, especially the bacon and egg one. Come by and get the combination beef pho to share with someone its awesome
so good
West End Vietnamese Food The popular but understated Cà Phê Nam is a great option for Vietnamese food in West End. We tried the bun bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and a banh mi for lunch and it was delicious! The service was quick and friendly and it was very reasonably priced!
Authentic Vietnamese food. The rice paper rolls and pho were super delicious!
This has been my centre for Banh Mi for years! I love this family run business. The food is amazing, the premises are sooooo clean and the family are joyful, lovely people. You cant go wrong eating here with dietary concerns well looked after and the food made with love!!
Amazing Pho and very reasonably priced. Serving sizes are also very generous. Highly recommend!
The most delicious Pho!!! Yumyumyum The combination pork chop with cracked rice as well and my colleges love the vege spring rolls. It definitely worth grabbing. Its a family business. Go and support it!!!
their pho are currently the best in brisbane, and it is a very valuable eat
This place is amazing! The food is really well priced, large servings and tastes amazing! The pho was some of the best I have had in Brisbane. Staff were really nice as well.
One of the best Vietnamese food place in Brisbane. I love love love this place. The price is cheap, the value is great, the variety is there, and the flavour is spot on. The team is very friendly as well and they open on most days of the week. This is such an underrated gem and I hope theyll continually get more support to stay around forever.
Absolutely the best chicken pho, huge portions too. I drive for 30 minutes just to get that food.
Super sized portion .you will struggle to finish the large pho and they give generous ingredients UPDATE: I went back again and as usual they never cease to amaze. BEST PHO-the soup is the best part
Excellent
Amazing Pho! Huge portions, great value, super fresh ingredients. It s almost too good to be true.
4.5 stars. Although this is a relatively small restaurant, they have taken the top 5 essential dishes in popular Vietnamese cuisine and put it all on one simple menu. 4 of the 5 dishes happen to be my favourites - 1. Combination pork chop and broken rice, 2. Banh mi 3. Combination rice vermicelli salad 4. Prawn rolls 5. Beef pho. We ordered the grilled pork banh mi - it was one of the best Ive had in Brisbane... the bread roll has a thin layer of crunch, which is pretty much perfect, the grilled pork was pretty good, it would be better if they added more lemon grass to it. Cost$7 - (not the cheapest, but youd had to drive out to inala or darra to get cheaper). The beef pho was generous in size and was well balanced, not too Herby or peppery (medium for$13 was large enough). The combination rice vermicelli was pretty good, not the best Ive heard but certainly above average. I will definitely be back. Very good value for money, prompt and friendly staff. Parking is the only issue.
Da best pho for sure if ya knows ya know
I love eating here, the food is delicious and they make all of your favourite Vietnamese dishes. The staff are friendly and its great to see them always smiling in the kitchen! The flavours in the Beef pho are amazing and the rice paper rolls are super tasty too. Whether I dine in or order takeaway Im always very happy with my food. One of my favourite places to eat in West End. C m n b n Cà Phê Nam
Good noodle pho sure
Not vegetarian friendly which is disappointing as their menu has vegetarian options, but they have the best coconut juice.
Great food at a reasonable price friendly staff
The portion of the big bowl is super huge The soup is very sweet and the meat is tender and delicious. The Cp value is extremely high!
This is the best place for banh mi and pho in West End. Friendly and authentic.
Most authentic and best Vietnamese I have been to in a long while. Real family run vibe with people who clearly take their food seriously! Flavours and portions are spot on. Try everything....
Pho is really nice and medium size is very filling
The staff are so friendly! The food is cheap and tasty.
Recommended to me via a colleague and was a culinary dream!
We love this little gem. The Pho broth is deliciously comforting. The combination salad is spot on. The Banh Mi is mouth-wateringly yummy! Lovely family-run restaurant.
Good selection of popular Vietnamese dishes, attractive specials, tidy, clean, generous servings and reasonable prices. The only items I didnt appreciate are the leathery dumplings.
Our choice for Bahn mi in West End. Cheap and cheerful and definitely tasty.
Super delicious and lovely staff! We had the Spicy chicken noodles, Beef Pho and Pork Bánh mì and they were all amazing! Will definitely be back!
I ate large size of combination beef pho it was really big and delicious. I recommend medium size haha
A no fuss, authentic Vietnamese shop conveniently in West End. The beef pho was a huge bowl of piping hot and fragrant broth with tender noodles. The beef was slightly tougher than I would ve liked but still yummy. It was great value for money and just what I wanted on cold winters day. I would like to try the banh mi which looked great too
Absolutely delicious pho! A large which is $16 is plentiful for 2 people and very satisfying! Will definitely be back to try the bun bo hue
Happy friendly service with great food
Come here all the time, one of the best local Vietnamese. Delicious every time.
One of the better bowls of pho I have had in Brisbane. I got a bit of a shock when I saw another customer nearby in the cafe with a dog tied to the leg of the table eating their meal. Not a good feel to have a meal next to a dog. The meal was delicious and plentiful.
Good value simple fresh menu. Great for a fresh quick lunch.
The best Vietnamese food in Brisbane!
Delicious Com Tam Dac Biet and Banh Mi rolls
Nice food and friendly staff. Will be coming back in the near future.
Excellent value, delicious meals and friendly team. Highly recommended hidden gem!
I ve tried a lot of Vietnamese all around Brisbane including Inala, but have to say this is the best Pho I have had, flavours were perfect, staff were really good too!
Tender meat, really huge portion with lots of soup, But bit disappointed with way too much MSG felt bit sick as a person who s allergic with that ..
Fill up
Despite the volume, it was super cheap. It is not a fancy place, but pho and baguette was delicious.
Fresh food. Friendly service.
This place has the best food! Everytime my partner and I come here we are always greated with a smile and they remember our names!
One of the best grilled pork banh mi sandwiches Ive had.
Cheap, tasty, and terrific serving sizes - what more could you ask for?
Rates well and a little cheaper than the rest. Park with plenty of sitting next door. Win win.
Great value, tasty food
AMAZING PHO!!! Such a loving family run restaurant with amazing food. Huge portions for such a small price. 100/100 highly recommend!
Delicious Bun Bo Hue, perfectly spicy. Generous portion. Loved the combination vermicelli salad as well. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff, nice spot to sit out front and watch the world go by. 10/10
We had Vietnamese dripping coffee, which was lovely.
Great food and fair pricing. Love a great Pho
Cà Phê Nam has been our new go-to pho restaurant for the last couple of months. Always consistent and fresh with generous portions and well priced. Hands down the best pho in Brisbane! Bonus mention is how humble and friendly the owners and staff are as well!
Delicious Pho. Well worth trying. Shame I live so far away. It would be my local !
Cheap and delicious
Friendly staff :)
Tasty Viet foods in West End!
The large pho is large! For 15 bucks, its definitely a steal. Fantastic Bhan mi too!
