Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in West Kelowna

Spent $40 on Dinner here tonight and we threw 90 percent of it in the garbage. Chicken was disgusting mushy and lathered in sauce. The wrap was terrible as well and chicken cold in the middle. Fries cold . The only thing that tasted good was the biscuit. We waited about 20 minutes for our food and staff was not friendly. One of the workers was putting chicken in a box with bare hands while working the til we didn t have high expectations, but this was brutal. Chicken is supposed to be crispy and crunchy on the outside, not a mushy unedible mess.

I love Popeyes so the food is great here, but the staff shuts down the store early. Showed up 2 HOURS before they closed open sign off, and fryers were down. No fries, shrimp onion rings or anything fried, so I only got half of my combo because I didn t want 3 biscuits or a mac n cheese not only did I get less than I paid for, but the staff also took 10 minutes to prepare a single half combo with no fried goods to prepare I was one of 2 customers not a great look for this business, and honestly disappointing.

We have to stop here every time we come to the Westside. Its my sons favorite. Great sandwiches. I also love the wings. Definitely better than KFC. And I grew up on KFC.

I went into the kamloops location to use online coupons (because the regular prices are very expensive) I was immediately told that the coupons are only online and the online coupon system wasnt working right now.. I proceeded to show them that on my phone I am able to generate a coupon code for them with no issue.. they pretended to try and use it, then they spoke to each other in punjabi right in front of me before switching back to english to tell me that the particular discount code I wanted wasnt working.. but they can offer a coupon discount for the same meal whish was 8 dollars more. I then found another 2 coupons that were not so expensive.. they pretended to check each of those, told me those codes are glitching too.. until they finally said the ONLY coupon they can use suddenly is the one that is expensive. I then left because i do not appreciate greedy businesses willing to lie to customers in order to maximize profits.

I had bad experience few weeks ago, but I guess they have changed their Management as I recently went to the West Bank location and there was one guy wearing a black shirt, was the sweetest person and gave great customer Service. I had to wait for my order for 20 minutes, he came to me and offered me drinks and explained to me, why my order was late. KEEP IT GUYS!!

Had to change the review. The way this place js run is horrible. They canceled an order 3 times, and when you call to make an order they just pick and hang up. Like do your job.

They close at 9 most days of the week and haven t updated their hours on google.

This is the worst Popeyes. Too bad this is the only one in the area. Rude staff, long wait times, never have Ghost Pepper wings and theyll refuse to make fresh ones because the Cook is not interested in making more. This has happened more than 5-6 times. Poor management. Always short staffed. Ordered online once, went to store for pick up in crazy snow conditions just for them to tell me theyre out of stock.

Did not feel treated like a customer, maybe because I came in half hour before closing? Rude supervisor and had a poor attitude towards me. They were out of all sides except two, but basically forced to get the one side because there was no gravy to go with the other side. They lock up customer bathrooms half hour before closing. Wait was long. They are lucky Food was hot, so I give the one star for that .

Came at 9:20 worker already closed and would let me order. Supposed to be open until 10. Knocked on the window, the guy laughed at me and walked away. Horrible service, whoever worked at this time in April 23rd, 2023 should lose their job. This is in unacceptable, ruined my day. Only Popeyes in Kelwona and can t even provide basic service like staying open until posted time. Can t believe I drove half an hour to be laughed at through the glass.

Seems that I always have to wait for an order when I go there. Chicken tastes ok, but their well known competitor offers better flavour IMO. Also, they ran out of coleslaw, a must have for fried chicken, so not happy about that. Will I go back, sure, but my other option is simply better.

Order mini burger for a 4 year old with mayo only they put on hot sauce. Ordered 2 sides got 1. 15 minute wait. Ran out if chicken at supper time. Expected that from KFC not Popeyes.

Absolute amazing service, went out of their way to personally help out when they didn t have to. Manager Arsh gave me and several friends one of the best experiences at Popeyes a man can have.

I am an absolute loss for words. Ive been to Popeyes all over Canada and this is by far the most memorable one Ive ever been to. I dont write reviews often but Arsh and the crew definitely stuck out! Food was great and the service even greater. They were nice, friendly and professional and despite unfortunate circumstances, they were still able to provide us with amazing food! I will definitely be coming back here during my stay in Kelowna. GIVE THEM A RAISE!

Amazing experience, honestly have only had bad experiences at most fast food restaurants even some other Popeyes aswell but honestly the staff here actually made it very memorable and the manager arsh made sure we had a great experience definitely the most caring staff I ve ever seen at a fast food restaurant. Even food was made well you can tell they care about their job and the customers they serve. Will definitely be coming here again.

Oh man, I am addicted to the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich. Every time we go mountain biking in Smith Creek, we have a mandatory stop at Popeyes to get our fill. Wish we had one in Kelowna.

I am giving 3 stars because the sandwiches were amazing as always, but the mac and cheese was soup and flavorless! We always get the mac and cheese for my kids and this was pretty disappointing.

Always people waiting, just now orderd some wings tenders and fries online, and was able to walk 20 mins and still waited another 20 on my order yikes

The food was awesome once again! I have been to many PopEyes across Canada and this one feels the same as all the others. Good service, great food, good prices. I received the 5 piece tenders meal, and left feeling full! I love this place!

Every time I travel to or through West Kelowna I have to stop here. The only thing better than the food is the service. Looking forward to when they open one on my side of the bridge.

I refrained from ordering here for a good year before trying again and so we thought we would try it out again. We had ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, 1 mac and cheese and one onion ring. The chicken sandwiches were dry, I have to say that the mac n cheese was yellow water with noodles. It was really bad. Most likely someone had put water in the mac n cheese vat to water it down (Ive worked in a restaurant, I know) but the onion rings were good! Not hard as theyre deep fried. Funny enough we ordered Whitespot fries with 2 sides of triple O sauce because the onion rings were without dip at Popeyes and the triple O sauce tasted amazing with the pop eyes onion rings. Overall it sounds like the chicken joint is mid and I likely wont be back. Id rather order from the part time KFC than the Popeyes in West Kelowna. Sad.

This was our first time coming to this location. We were served quickly even though there was a line. The sandwiches were fresh and out and the fries tasted delicious. There were only a couple of pop selections because the other ones were out of order. We ordered take out as well as eating there and it also came fast. We are looking forward to going back again soon.

As far as fried chicken goes, Popeyes is a superb sample of this beloved food. Id definitely return and would recommend trying this location! I will repeat this visit.

Service is the worst! We came here to order the 16pcs family pack but - only to be disappointed by the service and the food servings. We drove in this location only to be treated badly. We ordered a takeout order but decided to eat a portion of it, only to find out that they only gave us 15pcs. When we informed the manager, we were replied with a raised eyebrow. Why do we need to explain before we were given what we paid for? It is the kitchen staff mistake. Instead of apologizing to us, we were treated like someone who cannot be trusted. We paid our order and we were treated the wrong way. It is very clear that they are NOT happy to serve and help customers. First, the manager never smile and was rude. She was not accomodating at all. They forgot to give us napkin and when my son asked for it, he was only given with 3pieces for our big order. The chicken sizes changed too. The chicken sizes were tiny now compared before.This is a terrible change! Service and food were good before but went so bad now. With our bad experience, we are no longer going back to this location and definitely not recommending this to anyone.

I ordered for a pickup and it did not do well with the employees. I have been to lots of other locations of popeyes in other cities as well but this was not a good encounter with the employees in terms of service and speed. Definitely go to popeyes but not this location.

We ordered before 8PM which is more than an hour before the closing time. The food counter attendant took our order and before saying our order we said that are willing to wait. In our order we have sides of mashed potato and the cashier told us that they can t serve the mashed potato because they were out of gravy. We are suppose to order two 4pcs chicken platters with mashed potato as our choice of side and we ll gonna order a large gravy for our chickens. We really like the mashed potato and gravy of popeye s. We asked the food counter attendant if they can make us some gravy since it is more than an hour away from the closing time, but she said they cannot. Also, there is manager on duty and the cashier asked her if they can make the gravy bytheway we also asked her and she just said NO. We followed up asking why then she just turned her back to us without answering, which is kinda frustrating since it is a long and tiring day for us and we are just really craving for popeye s. We are also working in restaurant/fast food, we know that they can still possibly make it during that time. Ending we just cancelled our order since none is yet cooked/prepared.

Today we went there for lunch at 11am and when we got there, there was a couple waiting in front of us. The staff opened the door at 11:04am and we went in, ordered 12 pieces family meal (chicken only) and 2 pies. The cashier said it will take 7mins, I was surprised because in the past it took about 15mins-20mins each time, but I didn t think too much and just sit and waited. Later, I know the reason - this time the chicken tasted like rubber, they were probably leftovers from yesterday, they just refried them! Disappointed and would never go back again

If youre in the mood for some delicious, southern-style fried chicken, then Popeyes is the place for you! The chicken is always cooked to perfection and the biscuits are nice and fluffy. The prices are also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Popeyes to anyone looking for a good meal.

Was visiting for a few days and came across this Popeyes location. After ordering takeout, we decided to eat in. Good thing we did. Ended up missing an entire large order of nuggets. It was replaced and a few extra were thrown in. Then noticed we were missing the biscuit. Ah well. Staff were extremely nice, the place was clean and the freshly made nuggets were delicious.

Ive been a Popeyes fan for decades and have never had a bad meal until I visited this awful location. Brought a 10 piece bucket home and right away I noticed the color was way darker than usual. Oh oh did they over-cook it or cook too much and leave it to wither under the heat-lamps? Either way it was leathery and so hard that there were parts that a jig-saw couldnt cut. Not only that but they didnt give us the proper combination. They cheaped out and gave us 5 drumsticks and 4 thighs and 1 back! I noticed when I bought it that they had a HUGE pile of fries just sitting there going stale and sure enough the sad specimens they gave me were cold, dead and limp. The biscuits were HALF as thick as they are supposed to be and were stale and hard and hadnt been brushed with butter as is company policy. This sordid rat-hole is damaging the brand! I eat twice a week at the Langley B.C. location and if I didnt know how awesome it is Id NEVER set foot in a Popeyes! I brought this inedible atrocity back the next day and the young girl had TERRIBLE customer-service skills and said, Of course the fries were cold we have to cook up a huge pile and leave them sitting out in case someone orders a 10-peice meal! Epic FAIL!!

Third time visiting in past 2yrs. Not sure what happened to this spot. Gone downhill fast. Servings smaller, prices higher, staff treated customers as a burden. Wont be back. Can find quality Popeyes food and service when Im in Penticton or Vernon. This branch is an example if what happens when a good product and brand both land with poor management and people who dont care about the customer. Really disappointed to give a negative review to a once exceptional Popeyes location. Figure it out. Youre tarnishing the Brand.

Unfortunately we have not had great experiences here the 3 times we have been. The first time our food was cold; we ordered take out and drove 5mins before we ate it so I blamed it on that. We decided to try a second time and again our food was cold, especially the fries, but we sat outside in their seating area and just ate it (the store inside was too busy to try to go in and ask for new food). Our third visit was this past weekend and not only was our food cold, the portions were exceptionally small - we had two sides of fries and one was about half full and the other about a quarter full. My husband went inside to ask about it and was told thats just the size. We ordered a platter and were given a small cup when it was supposed to be a large one, so we asked if they gave us the wrong size cup by accident and were told we are out of large cups something they probably should have explained while giving us the cup... We have visited both the Penticton and Vernon locations and the service and food is exceptionally better so we will be making the drive to those locations over visiting this one again.

Popeyes menu is great too bad staff cant tell the difference between spicy and not spicy.

They have a great simple chicken sandwich, but the prices for one are getting out of hand. Seriously come on I know I know inflation right, but almost $10 for one chicken sandwich from Popeyes, too much for me sorry.

So , it was 09:50, with big open sign outside. As we 3 guys were entering on doorstep we were surprised to saw such rude, ignoring, disrespectful face of workers. At last they refused to give food . Never posted bad reviews for anyone but it was really disrespectful. Come on guys u are paid for it , even we were not snatching anything from u . Hope you don t behave similarly with others , sometimes people are really hungry.

Drove 20 minutes to get some chicken with my friends, only had dark meat, didn t have tenders, didn t have 90% of what is on the menu, basicly limited to a chicken burger because they don t feel like making more food.

I really enjoy the food here. Popeyes chicken is great. But the service is well below average. If they get the order wrong they straight up refuse to accept it. They also will walk off to the back if they don t like your question.

See fig. A of Popeyes rippin chicken. It s not looking too great. To begin, the first impressions of the packaging makes it look just like every other fast food meal. Upon opening the pack, you are greeted with a fair portion of fries and the rippin chicken. The portion of fries appears fair and seems to look decently seasoned, even with some herbs. However the piece of chicken in the package doesn t appear as great as the fries. The chicken doesn t look like chicken. It looks like a worn out child s baseball glove. It even appears as if the chicken piece could be aged just as a leather baseball glove does from the black appearing in the crevasses of the chicken. Chicken should not look like a baseball glove. This small and deformed piece of chicken is not up to my expectations for Popeyes and I hope it isn t for yours as well. Overall, the fries passed the test but not the chicken. Unfortunately, Popeyes is known for their chicken and it s unlucky my first experience at Popeyes had to be like this. In the end, 1.9 stars for the meal. All I ever wanted was a Popeyes meal just like the commercials. Unfortunately I cannot post the picture of the chicken .

The little chicken nuggets were delicious, I give it 4 stars because I believe its a bit expensive for what youre buying, but the quality is good.

The staff is not very polite and will not take the time to explain they dont have what you ordered, they will just act like you are a burden and give you whatever they want because thats easier than communicating.
