We went there for our anniversary. It was great because it has a casual vibe to it. They had enough options to make food and drinks decisions pretty straightforward. The steak and lamb entrees were very good. Tons of different flavours and textures in the dishes.

We had dinner at Angel Share for our 10th wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely gorgeous time. The atmosphere and decor of the rooftop restaurant is beautiful. There were gorgeous views of the Vineyard and lake. The servers were very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the flat iron steak and I ordered the lamb shank. I would order the exact same meal the next time around. We did not have to wait at all for our food or drinks. We definitely will be recommending this restaurant to others and can’t wait to eat there again.

Food was great, and the service was even better! Avnit took great care of our group and was very attentive, keeping our drinks full. The menu offers a delightful variety of dishes, all beautifully presented. We order the tender lamb and perfectly cooked steak. Our server recommended the carrot salad to start and it was fantastic. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the lake is. This place is a hidden gem. Definitely will be coming back

Great venue or atmosphere. Could potentially be an overall fantastic place. But for us it was just average. The positive! They were Very accommodating for late night booking. Food was okay, service okay. The fish was better than the steak The negative Asked for the steak sauce on the side to control the amount myself. Unfortunately it came drowned. Didn’t want to send it back because the kitchen was cleaning up. Their take on a crème brulie was just average, after having a top 3 one at Home block at cedar creek a few nights before, it shows that they gave a bit to go still. The visit wasn’t bad it was just okay, a pass, but by no means, do I need to come back anytime soon. But I wouldn’t stay away if someone asked me to meet them there

To get to the resturant you go up stairs through cool feeling dimly lit stairwells with portraits and decor that fit the theme of the winery. Food was great, lots of dishes, well made, service friendly. Enjoyed the Lamb, the steak and potatoes and the salads were great with croutons the size of texas. Only Con would be sitting that high on the roof on a hot day especially by the cement walls it gets very hot and sweaty. Would recommend some misters or fans to keep the temperature down. Props to the kitchen staff up there that is in the face of the heat well done.

Food was fantastic and service was good. I got the Halibut and husband got the chicken both of which were very good. Very small restaurant. We were one of 3 tables there at 6:30. Only 2 types of red to choose from as we didn’t want to get a bottle. Great views though! Overall a great experience but it was definitely underwhelming upon entry. Give it a try! The food is worth it.

All I can say is “WOW” we were very pleased with our experience at Angel Share, the food was delicious, the service incredible and the wine was paired perfectly. Because the restaurant is located on the rooftop of Crown and Thieves Winery as an added bonus you also get a great view of the mountains and Okanagan Lake.

Went here for a date night. We ordered the prawn appetizer which was unexpectedly served cold (the menu says butter poached which implies a hot dish). I didn t enjoy, my partner thought it was alright. For mains we had the lamb shank, which was tender, but the dish was not balanced with too many acidic components. We also had the confit chicken which was decent despite being a bit dry, but the pasta was quite tasty. Service was not great. Our server was very pleasant but was absent and occupied with other tables most of the evening. Also, the patio is 50% surrounded by 7 tall concrete walls which completely block the view, which is touted as a major draw. Overall, an average experience. I honestly don t understand the hype. For the price point there are many better places. I doubt we will return.

The rooftop patio is amazing, especially when it is sunny out, which luckily was a good day for it. The tuna and beef tartare is to die for! I got the tuna twice, also the potato appetizer, and char-cute-rie. Good view is your sitting on the high top.

Quality modern family style food. Very precise, very tasty, thoughtful and intriguing combinations of food. Competes with the best of Kelownas trendy restaurants. Sliders, donuts and wedge salad are our favourites. You must try them. Wines also superb. Service very professional. Our favourite spot.

Unique outdoor seating area, love the food, feels higher end than the price

August 23, 2024

Extremely disappointed. Won t be returning sadly. Ambiance is cool, sad that the view is mostly covered in concrete walls, but a cool vibe anyway. The wine pairings were only offered by the bottle, which is tough if your date pairs with a Malbec and you pair with a Chardonnay. Server was sweet. My halibut came out way undercooked, so I asked the server to ask the chef if it was ok to eat? I didn t want to get parasites. The same piece came back cooked beyond recognition, it was actually hilarious. I think I offended the chef. Even though it came after my date was done eating, no offer of a free drink or discount. That s fine, at least I m not sick from eating undercooked halibut but with all the things that went on, I ll spend my $100 per person elsewhere.

Nice atmosphere, good service, fantastic food and good music. A bit too salty is the only complaint.

July 23, 2024

Unfortunately we cannot comment on the food. That is because we phoned the restaurant for an 8;30 reservation that we were running late. We were told no worries if we were 5 minutes away from that time; by the time we parked, walked, and searched for the entrance, we were a few extra minutes behind since our phone call. After finding the stairs to the rooftop we were greeted, then denied entrance. The acting manager offered our dining tomorrow night but I was departing the next day back to the east coast. Bottom line, the service reception from the greeting manager was cold and uninviting .it was on us for being 7 instead of 5 minutes late since our phone call to inform of our lateness. It s understandable that a restaurant would deny late entry, but not when we called, drove there after they said it was okay, arrived before the kitchen closed, only to be denied. Angel Share was missing an angel tonight.

Food was slight above average. Umbrella was broken so our group had to sit in the beating sun. Our server was unhelpful and not accommodating in trying to find a solution. There was other tables in the shade the same size as ours which they told us they couldn t move us to due to other reservations. However no one sat at them the entire time we were at the restaurant and I doubt anyone reserved that specific table as it was generic. Wouldn t recommend or eat here again.

This is a beautiful spot and a cool piece of architecture but they really need a consultant chef for their menu. As is, the menu should not be served. The pork belly tacos would be better served without the chipotle sauce and on a higher quality tortilla (perhaps better yet as lettuce wraps). The popcorn and the pickled grapes were odd choices for the mac and cheese topping. A savoury crumble or Parmesan crisps would be much better. The flavours were off. The melon salad was overpowered by the strong spiced feta and the stuffed green olives. Would have expected something lighter and refreshing.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at Angel Share. Amazing view, amazing food and amazing service. Thank you Oscar for taking good care of us. This rooftop restaurant is above our favorite winery, Crown and Thieves. Wished we lived here so we could come more often. Its all about sharing, the food that is. The tuna tatare was out of this world but the steak bites and pork belly tacos were also so good! Cant well l wait for our next visit. If course we tasted wine below first which I highly recommend. Dietary restrictions: I have a non dairy requirement and it was not a problem

Hosted our wedding reception here, and had nothing but raving reviews from all of our guests from the amazing food prepared by Chef James Holmes and his team. The service was amazing, and they were prepared for the bit of rain we got at the beginning, and helped ensure everyone s drink was always full. Taiylor was amazing to deal with, and helped take away any stress during the planning process. Definitely would recommend hosting any event here.

December 23, 2023

I went to look at the place, to see what the view and atmosphere was like and the server looks me up and down and tells me that they are a business and that it would be appreciated if I stay looking from the entrance she was rude and more interested in talking to the other server than handling the one customer or talking to me like I m a human being was planning on coming for dinner never mind cause I m not good enough for this place!

Food portion / quality balance is off. The pricing is on the higher side, which is understandable considering the venue & location. It is a winery, after all, one of our favorites at that. However, in comparison to other restaurants that serve similar items with a higher price point, this spot misses the mark. Especially when they say its supposed to be shared. Your paying for what is essentially an appetizer for the cost of a meal. Good for grabbing a bite after wine tasting, but I probably wouldnt go out of your way to go here for dinner.

Dined at this restaurant with my elderly parents, and the lack of an elevator to the top floor (requiring two flights of stairs) was challenging for them. The toilets being on the main floor added to the inconvenience. Despite its antique ambiance, the newly constructed structure had obstructed views from the top floor surrounded by concrete. This type of architecture is Beyond my comprehension. Some sites promote this as instagrammable, and from the outside looking in its beautiful however overall it doesnt live up to the hype. The food was decent, Ive read many reviews complaining about size or quality and that didnt seem to be an issue. In my personal opinion the price point is right where it should be. They do lack consistency; we ordered two of the same dishes twice and with the exception of the protein being similar the accoutrements couldnt be any more different.

★★★
December 23, 2022

Service was great, and the atmosphere was definitely interesting. The weather turned for the worst, so we ended up in the basement area of the restaurant which felt like an old underground bar. The food was tasty, however it is pricey. 85$ for an old fashion drink, a foot long hotdog, and a small meat and cheese plate (before tip). I feel like I have spent the same amount at other wineries and gotten more upscale meals than here.

December 23, 2022

Was very impressed with the atmosphere/setting of the restaurant. The rooftop patio has a stunning view of the lake/ west Kelowna and vineyards, as well the theme of the run down castle 1940s kind of vibe is very unique and a cool vibe for a restaurant. The waitress was great, very attentive and informative with the menu items. The downsides I would say, and the entire dinner party with me also said was the pricing of drinks (a bottle of wine is $50 but downstairs at the winery The same bottle is $26), the fact you cannot order the cocktails, as they apparently are only available in the establishments downstairs speakeasy, and as well the quality and portion of the food. We had ordered one of the dishes and it was a fried noodle with spicy vegetables and a cheese, it came to our surprise with eggs all on the bottom, nowhere was this listed on the menu or was it told to us by the waitress who explained the dish item before we ordered it. I couldn t end up eating it because I have IBS and egg is a trigger for it. As well we then thought we would try the focaccia pizza and they were great in accommodating our request for meat to only be on half, as we had a vegetarian in the party. Two small piece of bread came and it was only sauce and some cheese with a couple banana peppers on top . I do understand this is meant as a sharing restaurant and you order plates and sample and share which is great but I think the dishes need to be explained a bit better or they need to start asking tables if there s any allergies, which alot of restaurants do. Overall great spot to check out and see the scenery but wouldn t go back again.

December 23, 2022

This was our first time at Angel Share. The food was pretty good, but the service, both in the days leading up to our reservation and our server at the restaurant, was horrible. I needed to change the time of the reservation, but never did receive any confirmation e-mail or text so I couldnt change it online myself. I called the winery and was given an e-mail of someone who could help me and waited 3 days for a response. I finally had to call the winery back and they had to track down the woman for me and get her to call me. She sounded irritated but changed the time of the reservation. Our waitress at the restaurant was also horrible. We had never been there before and had lots of questions, she couldnt answer a single one. We were told the food would not come out all at once, but arrive as it was ready. One of the items we ordered was a charcuterie board, and hadnt even finished a third of it before every single other item we had ordered arrived at the same time and there wasnt even room on the table for all of it. So most items were cold by the time we could make our way through things. The restaurant is on a rooftop, with no coverings or protection from rain. I asked the waitress what would happen if it started to pour rain, as the weather had quickly changed and was quite windy and looked like rain and was told nothing would be done and that we should have dressed for the weather.

Incredible atmosphere with so much more potential. Very disappointed with the restaurant. Big issue is, chef changes the menu daily so the staff do not know the menu or how to assist in answering/navigating questions about the food. They do not have enough food for the demand meaning you get slim pickings on a limited set menu. They ran out of 6 menu items by 7:30pm during our reservation with a baseless excuse. This was my second time going and the second time this experience happened to us. Our waitress forgot drinks, forgot several of our orders and the waitress was frantically running back and forth to get answers from the chef about the menu and in the end, there was no discount or offering to our table of 4 for any inconvenience to our evening. Very disappointed. I m being generous with a 3/5 rating.

December 23, 2022

First of all, GoogleMaps will take you the wrong way. Access to the winery is via Brown Rd. Second of all, food was excellent. Despite being out of many items, we were happy with what we ordered. Great flavours and quality - we loved the bratwurst, Salisbury steak and cauliflower the most. All the accompanying breads were delicious. Lastly, and I hate to write this but management needs to see this because there was no opportunity to let them know at the time of dining, was that the service was horrible. We were left waiting at the door with no eye contact from staff (except for the chef) for 5 minutes, no quality check or check in with us once our food was dropped, boxes never came when asked for it (had to ask another server), boxes didn t come with lids when arrived, music and lights went off and when I said that service was a miss that night, there was no further inquiry for me to tell them what went wrong so they could fix it. We just got oh, we know which was such a weird response. I thought maybe the restaurant was new and working out kinks but no, it s been open for a year. Shocking and despite the food being incredible, I will not be back, sadly. As a fellow hospitality worker, the service ruined it for me completely.

Not only did we have incredible service from our two servers, but we also had an impeccable culinary experience. We nearly ordered the entire menu and werent disappointed by any of it. After we finished our meal, we headed down to the Speakeasy space and enjoyed some cocktails and some casa amigos tequila. If I could give. Ahigher rating I would. This place is up and coming and I cant wait to see what the future holds for Angel Share.

Was very excited to try this restaurant based on recommendations. Google does indeed take you to the wrong spot as mentioned in other reviews. We had an 830pm reservation and our table was not ready when we arrived. However, the stunning atmosphere and views made up for it, as well as the generous staff downstairs compensating with several wine tastings. We were then seated on the patio roughly 15 minutes later. The view was incredible. Unfortunately this is where the positives end. The first server told us they were out of lasagna which is unfortunate as this is something we likely would have ordered but thats ok - understandable to be out of one item. The next waitress told us they were actually out of 3 other dishes as well - again a few things we may have ordered. We looked at the menu and decided on a few things we would like to try. However, we were pushed away from these and suggested to try the tuna and brussel sprouts. The server had never tried a few of the things she was suggesting but said they looked good coming out. The tuna was honestly very very bland. Almost no seasoning and watery spiralized vegetables underneath and not sure how fresh the fish was. Then the brussel sprouts... The roasted sprouts themselves were fine but when paired with cheese, honey, popcorn and pickled grapes... for $23 ... Horrible. I dont know how this dish can be justified. Way too over the top on attempting some new food creativity... Yet another recommendation from the server. Finally to make up for it they suggested the potatoes which were fine... Roasted potatoes with oil, garlic, s&p, plum, apple and salami... Fine. All to say we would not return.

We were visiting friends and they wanted to go here as the website looked interesting. There is no menu posted so he asked for one when he made the reservation. He was told that it changes daily so there isnt one. When we arrived we were seated downstairs in a basement with no windows, set up like a club atmosphere. They are trying for a speakeasy vibe but really the furniture was just old, second hand store uncomfortable stuff. Menu changes daily? There was nothing on it that wouldnt be available tomorrow or the day before. We ordered a few items and all are served as share plates. Lasagna was a small piece, one bite each, for $17 - fine, basic. Pizza with burrata - we all thought the pizza might have been frozen, at least the crust - individual size, with a ball of ice cold burrata on top. And then - Tots as listed on the menu. Pretty sure these were McCain? Served with a mayo & hot sauce mix. Lastly, roasted asparagus - fine - and then fried brussel sprouts with green grapes and a handful of popcorn? This makes sense where? If this is what they are touting as a new approach to dining in Kelowna then I am looking for the old approach in future. Also, as soon as the wine arrived at the table, we were bombarded by fruit flies. Server was very nice but the timing of the food was odd although she did say that it will arrive with no rhyme or reason. Did she mean the timing or the food itself? As one person in our party said as we were leaving, I cant believe we just paid to eat tater tots in a basement. Yup, we did.
