4360 Marine Dr, West Vancouver, BC V7V 1P1, Canada
Beautifully renovated mid-century modern cafe located between the ocean and the north shore mountains of West Vancouver. Offering dine-in and grab-and-go options along with amazing coffee. Isetta is your natural escape in West Vancouver. Open from 7am-3pm Brunch 8am-11:30am Lunch 11:30-3pm
Isetta Cafe and Bistro offers a charming atmosphere and serves one of the best lattes I've ever had—rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. However, the food left much to be desired. We ordered two egg bennies, which, while tasty, were underwhelming for the price. The dish consisted of just an English muffin, egg, tomato, and avocado—simple ingredients that didn’t justify the cost. Adding something like bacon or other extras would elevate the dish. The side potatoes were a disappointment; they tasted like they were fried in overused, burnt oil. Overall, it’s a mixed experience: fantastic coffee but average food quality. I’d give it 3.5 out of 5.
This spot quickly earned its place as our weekly coffee break stop whenever we are driving through West Van. With its great atmosphere, stunning design both inside and out, and consistently excellent coffee, it’s hard to ask for more. We have yet to sit down for a proper meal, but the dishes coming out of their kitchen look absolutely phenomenal. Needless to say, it’s a must-visit and definitely recommended.
The place is nice, a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. There's two separate buildings, one that serves as the cafe and the other as a museum with guided tours. The latte I had was not good. I ordered a caramel latte, which didn't have a hint of caramel in it, smell or taste, and the whole drink was sour. I don't know if the espresso was overextracted or if the milk had gone bad. Probably the espresso. My friend ordered a flat white and had the same experience as me, but stronger. The food was fine for its price, but the portions seem a bit small. Overall it was adequate.
I’ve been a few times now and safe to say this will be a spot I’ll bring for friends who visit from out of town. They really nailed the look in there. I love that it’s a little out of the way .. although despite it being out of the way it can get super busy. They have some gluten free options - I love when they have the gluten free cookie! I was able to have the Benedict gluten free with a GF burger bun.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a breakfast sandwich at Isetta Cafe Bistro, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The sandwich was perfectly balanced, with incredibly fresh ingredients. The bacon was crispy, adding just the right amount of savory crunch to every bite. The greens were vibrant and fresh, complementing the rich flavors beautifully. The ambience of the cafe is warm and inviting, with a calm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for a morning meal. To top it off, the staff was professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Isetta Cafe Bistro is a fantastic place to start your day with great food and a welcoming environment. Highly recommended!
Such a great hidden spot in West Vancouver. The Cafe has such a nice vibe, it’s always lively, the food is always great and service is friendly and consistent. The interior is well designed with its mid century charm and outdoor/indoor seating. You can tell they get a lot of regulars because it’s situated right on marine drive and it’s a great spot for cyclists to stop in for a quick drink/bite. The breakfast sandwich might one of the best out there. We absolutely LOVE it and highly recommend it. We’ve tried a few other items on the menu and it never disappoints. Another delicious one is their grilled cheese and tomato soup (come hungry because the grilled cheese is huge). Overall we highly recommend this spot! It’s a must!! ☕️ And if you’re into collector cars there’s a garage next door with some pretty fun vehicles! It’s rarely open but it’s nice to just look in the window. Oh! And another bonus is for the summer months they have a gelato stand outside now and it’s amazing!! A treat for sure! 5/5 ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
Isetta Cafe Bistro offers an average dining experience. The food standard is okay, but the service is notably slow—I waited 25 minutes for the Isetta burger. Additionally, it's on the pricey side, which might not justify the overall experience. While the ambiance is pleasant, the highlight for me was seeing the Isetta model, which added a unique touch to the visit. I’m a big fan of Isetta model and was very excited to be there. However, improvements in service speed and food quality are needed.
If you love cars and bicycles, this is the place for you. Just a heads up, the menu has changed from some of those that are posted on here so just be aware. Easy to order, they have number service so the food comes to you. Coffee was good, beans from Nemesis I believe. But plenty of patio and indoor seating. Loved all the cars rolling thru, a joy to get there a well.
Great spot to enjoy a coffee and excellent snack
Great spot, but pretty pricy. Not a surprise given the neighbourhood. Love the cars and overall atmosphere.
Extremely mid coffee, some of the worst baked goods i ve ever had. Scone was like bread and extremely underbaked, cookie tasted like it came from a Supermarket. Downright evil vibes. Definitely a spot for the wealthy.
Love everything about this place!
Hate the new menu and prices. Old menu was so much better and cheaper.
Food was great, a bustling cafe
Very busy place. But our breakfast was delicious and fresh. It worth to come and wait.
Our favorite place to spend time enjoying delicious food and drinks in an inviting atmosphere.
If you love coffee and cars, Isetta is the place to see. Thomas and his team make sure everyone receives their love for hospitality. Try their flat white and latte!
Tucked away on marine drive, this place offers amazing food, tasty, fresh and delicious, serious coffee and great atmosphere. highly recommend
Isetta is a hidden gem a cozy bistro in the woods with a cool vibe and excellent food. Perfect for escaping the city and enjoying thoughtfully crafted dishes in a tranquil setting. Parking is minimal. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere, kind and professional staff. Strange location, but direct approach to the community and residences, which is respectful. The food quality was good. potatoes cooked perfectly. Very good croissants. Espresso was acidic. Talked to the Barista, and mentioned that I could get long shots, which could be a good solution to minimize the acidity of my flatwhite. I will come back to try his method. But I wish their latte-based beverages were crafted with Dark roast espressos, than medium-dark. (Just a personal preference). Unfortunately, Eggs Benedict w/Salmon was very very very salty to me.
Delicious food, I had the Baba Ghanoush toast, and it was amazing. The bread it was served on was so fresh and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect subtle flavours at this fun and inviting cafe. Read the history, check out the nearby beaches and enjoy the classic cars.
What a delightful place. Great coffee and soup and a lovley atmosphere. Staff that sincerely ask you how you are, the two young gentlemen working in there are so very pleasant. Great overall experience!
Great ambiance and friendly staff.
Isetta Coffee in Vancouver is the perfect stop for a muffin ride! The cozy café offers an amazing selection of freshly baked muffins that pair perfectly with their excellent coffee. The staff is friendly and always happy to recommend their best brews. Whether youre grabbing a quick bite on your ride or relaxing for a while, the inviting atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone in the area!
I recently visited Isetta Café Bistro and loved the retro vibe, especially the charming red BMW Isetta parked outside. I tried the salmon Eggs Benedict with a side of seasonal salad and added Burrata an incredible choice! The poached eggs were perfectly done with a rich sauce, and the creamy Burrata paired beautifully with the fresh greens. A must-visit spot for brunch lovers!
Fabulous staff, great decor, and absolutely fabulous food. It was really busy in there, but the staff made it very pleasant. I would recommend this for a friend.
Absolutely beautiful cafe. I tried latte and tomato soup, both were yum
The coffee shop had an amazing ambience it was something else! I absolutely loved it and can t wait to go back.
Pleasently suprised by this cafe. My boyfriend and I were searching for a place to grab breakfast and saw this on our way. The place is so cute. Food and staff were great. We will be coming back for sure !!
Fav coffee and atmosphere in all of Van. I stop every time I m in town from Bellingham WA
Would be great to have more pastry options!
Very nice place. Tasty and cozy. One bad thing, there was no high chair. Kid-friendliness: They had no highchairs at the time or none at all. Idk. But it seemed like a place more friendly to dogs than to children. Food : 5/5 |
Very good local coffee shop in West Vancouver. Its very convenient to walk from our home to enjoy a nice morning coffee and some great eats.
Always great food, always rude staff.
Very nice, will come often.
Might be one of the best burgers and ratatouille I ve had! Both gluten free! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic!! Great burger, Great Latte and when can I get in to see the collection of cars?? Awesome! Food
Definitely a hidden Gem!!!! Loved everything about this place, have to come back and taste their carpaccio and burger, on my next trip . The Avocado toast was incredible, barista were very friendly and accommodating. Ginger tea the perfect balance of sweetness! Food
The grilled cheese was AWESOME
Great cafe! Had a latte, sandwiche+soup, its the perfect start to my October ~ Everything was delicious next time I want to try their sorbet and bring my friend
Isetta Cafe Bistro in West Vancouver is known for its cozy atmosphere, unique menu items like the Pork Schnitzel Sando and Isetta Burger, and friendly service. It s a charming spot near Lighthouse Park, perfect for a relaxing meal or coffee break. I enjoy a well-prepared cortado that balances the strong flavor of espresso with the creaminess of steamed milk. It s a great choice if you prefer a coffee that s not too strong but still rich in flavor.
Hands down the best hidden gem on the North Shore. Attention to detail, architecturally stunning space, friendly service, and always spectacular food make this place a must-try if youre ever in the area (just dont speed on Marine Drive to get there, its a family neighbourhood) Special shout out to the staff and Juan for an always impeccable expresso pull and latte pour!
Exceptional setting with a unique architecture style reminiscent of the MCM era. Had a meeting with associates here and despite of the busy folks coming and going, it felt good just being there, and the coffee, matcha and ciders were nice.
All the staff are very friendly and professional! Lattes are made to profection, and have set the bar high...no more Starbucks or other chains for me...tried the new pumpkin spice, and it did not disappoint....Juan is truly one of the best barristas (Dohon is the legend....) ....thanks for all the great service & tasty treats!
The coffee is not very good. The pasteries are ok and Sandwiches avg. But the coffee definately needs some help
Great Oat Milk Flat White. Not your typical espresso. It had a slightly bitter dark chocolate taste to it (in the best possible way). Really excellent coffee. They have a GF and DF power ball that tastes like coconut macaroons my grandma used to make. You have to ask it s not in the case. I will deviate from the highway to go here again when I m driving through West Van. Dietary restrictions: Have Milk alternatives for coffee and at least one Gluten Free and Dairy free treat
Isetta Coffee has a decent location, situated in a nice countryside area, and their outdoor seating is great when the sun is out. The sandwiches, hamburgers, and breakfast options are okay, but the pastries are quite average and lack any uniqueness. Unfortunately, the experience is brought down by several major issues. Parking is a nightmare, and the place tends to get overcrowded, especially with cyclists. The atmosphere isn t great, and the staff s service leaves a lot to be desired. They struggle with managing orders, and it often feels disorganized. Worse yet, the staff doesn t seem to care about your feedback, and their attitude is generally poor. To top it off, the person who claimed to be the manager, a male, showed no professionalism or courtesy. He didn t seem to have any managerial skills and certainly wasn t interested in addressing customer concerns. Additional Note: After receiving the owner s response, I wanted to share more details about my experience to clarify why I was dissatisfied. I ordered a simple Americano and waited for 15 minutes. During this time, I noticed several customers who ordered after me were served first. When I asked the staff why, I was told they had ordered drip coffee, but I saw they had actually ordered lattes and food. I understand that weekends can be busy, and I was willing to be patient, but it felt unfair that my order wasn t handled in sequence. What made the situation more frustrating was the lack of a sincere apology or clear explanation. Even after raising my concern, I was asked to wait even longer, without any real attempt to address the issue promptly. While I appreciate the response from the owner, I hope this additional context helps to highlight the need for better service management, especially during busy times. I do enjoy the café s location and setting, but I believe that improving order management and communication would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.
Love this spot! Has nice food options, some really cool cars and other details around. Great to bring friends and/or the family! Parking: Their car park can be a bit tricky when full, and its very popular! But there is also street parking, which makes it much easier!
If you re looking for a cozy café with delicious food and great place, Isetta is the place to be. The coffee and all menus were fresh and tasty. Highly recommended! But parking is hard on weekend.
Great little place on Marine Dr in West Vancouver. Great place to meet up with friends have a coffee and a bite to eat.
good muffin and cookie
Fantastic tasty meals, soups, coffee and cakes, 100% recommend
It s worth the drive down the winding roads.
Average coffee, beautiful space, slow service, didn t try the food. Worth visiting for the vibes and atmosphere.
A nice cafe with good views and nice staff
Great burger!
Just not very good coffee
Nice food. Great environment.
Nice place. A bit of Italy in BC
A true hidden gem in West Vancouver! The atmosphere at this shop is both cozy and inviting, creating the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. The food and coffee were both fantastic. The staff were friendly and made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great cafe experience in the area!
One of the best spot to get a coffee in West Vancouver. Atmosphere is awesome but don t bring your laptop to this place do not ruin the place.)))) Food
Isetta is a routine stopover for many including cyclists and motor car enthusiasts. Coffee and breakfast are delicious and the kitchen does a great job at being consistent in their delivery while using fresh ingredients. Overall, great vibe and place to meet others. Parking can be a challenge but there are more stalls at the back of the restaurant, just make sure you stay within the lines for obvious reasons. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It s a must stopover while in West Van. Parking: Don t double park. Stay within the lines to ensure others can enter and exit safely.
Great cafe with good food options! Stopped on my way to horseshoe bay. I would recommend!
I recently visited Isetta Cafe in West Van and had a delightful experience. The ambiance of the cafe is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The highlight of my visit was definitely the grilled cheese sandwich, which was wonderfully cheesy and satisfying. The combination of perfectly melted cheese and toasted bread was simply delightful. However, I must mention that the linguini vongole I ordered had a bit too much garlic for my taste. While I appreciate bold flavors, the garlic slightly overwhelmed the dish. Nonetheless, I must commend the cafe for using fresh ingredients and putting effort into their pasta dishes. The service at Isetta Cafe was prompt and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. The staff was attentive and accommodating, making sure I had a pleasant time. In terms of ambiance, Isetta Cafe has created a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The interior is tastefully decorated, providing a relaxed and cozy environment to enjoy your meal. Whether youre looking for a quick bite or a leisurely lunch, this cafe is a nice spot to unwind. Overall, I would recommend Isetta Cafe for its delicious grilled cheese sandwich and friendly service. Just be mindful of the garlic intensity in certain dishes. I will definitely be returning to try more items on their menu.
Nice cafe nestled in leafy area. Shame about the food and service. I took my family here a week ago and unfortunately our experience was below average. We sat down after ordering and no one had cleared the dirty plates from the previous customers. After a while I walked up to a girl at the counter to ask if someone could collect the dishes/wipe the table and she was very lovely. She asked one the guys to do it and he came over, dragging his feet, rolled his eyes and aggressively wiped down our table. When we said thank you, he just walked off seeming angry. I get people have bad days but don t project it onto customers. I then heard my name for the drink orders and went up to collect them and when I said thank you, the bar tender/guy behind the bar said in a rude tone we ve been calling you for ages and I replied with sorry it s really loud and we re sat in the back corner. I actually thought that comment and tone was so unnecessary. Then the food arrived after 30 mins (tbf, they were busy) and it was very below average. Burger was dry and pasta was very lacklustre. Banana bread and scone were also meh . Nice atmosphere though, I like the decor and vibe the owner was trying to create. Just need to work on the service and food.
Great morning breakfast and will definitely be back.
Good breakfast and espresso place. The iced cappuccino can be made by pouring the espresso on ice and topping it with half steamed and foamed milk.
Beautiful architecture and nice cars. The Benedict is however a tad too salty. Other than that a 10/10 experience!
Must espresso stop for coffee enthusiasts The best coffee in British Columbia!
Delicious Italian coffee Took me and my wife back to 2018 and our vacation in Palermo!
Very cool spot with tasty treats and decent coffee. Didn t get to try any food but it looked really good! The atmosphere and classical cars were super interesting. Would definitely come again!
Really great coffee and delicious food. Great spot to hang out.
Fantastic experience. Very unique and totally worth visiting.
Fantastic hidden gem. Huge fan. These guys do a great job and we really appreciate them. Thank you so much!
We were told by a local to make a trip to Isetta. Nestled amongst local houses, this place is a super-cool oasis. You can get delicious coffees, incredible lunches and not to mention cakes (try their delicious banana bread)! Would happily go back again and again!
Excellent, luxurious coffee and beautiful sessions
Love the stylish atmosphere and the casual gourmet menu. A diamond for locals and those who know, in quiet West Van.
Great spot for coffee! The atmosphere is cozy, the coffee is consistently excellent, and the staff is friendly. Perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. Highly recommend for any coffee lover!
Amazing coffee, food menu looks good but the quality is pretty low
This place is so picturesque. They also prepare an excellent capuccino with the right balance of acid and milky sweetness. They ran out of food so I cant comment yet. Of note is the Isetta museum after which the Cafe is named. The Isetta was the first mass produced car to do 94 mpg in 1955. It was an Italian design licensed by several manufacturers all over the world including BMW. There are also several vintage cars in storage. Who knew about this slice of history? Update: They have excellent food. Feeling vegan? ratatouille and tomato soup ( just mention no cream) They have excellent clams and mussels in white wine sauce with great happy hour prices between 2-5PM Vegetarian options: Ratatouille and Tomato Soup (no cream) are excellent
As if you were getting coffee in the Swiss alps Amazing place for a coffee , burger or the big sandwiches Food
This restaurant is obviously very famous on the Internet, and I have been here countless times. I like the bitter taste of latte in my mouth, and I also like the slightly sour taste sometimes, but most of the time there is no sour taste in my mouth. I still remember that when I came here for the first time, there were duck wings with sauce. The sauce was very strong and the anise flavor was very strong. It was very delicious. It seems that this dish is no longer available. The other food I tried was also very good. Will come here often.
Secluded in a private neighborhood. Very serene and quiet environment. Food , sandwich, coffee , soup, cheese melt are some of the best Ive tasted in Vancouver.
Breakfast is the best burger Isetta
Last week on Sunday I visited and felt good coz it wasn t badly crowded or noisy. When you enter the first thing you see is vintage red BMW car. I am vintage car admirer and was thrilled to see it coz it s the main reason to visit cafe. Ordered croissant, banana bread loaf and mocha. Croissant was so delicious as well as the banana bread loaf was yum. There was no option for chicken lovers so got fries which was okay. Overall vibe was good and service is amazing.
A perfect Spot in Vancouver for a coffee, fresh salad or just a nice spot to read, relaxe or indulge in the moment. The atmosphere at this place is indeed special and calm. I loved it there. The interior design is supreme and so cozy. The staff is super friendly and the coffee was delicious. What more could you ask for? I had the garden greens with feta, a ginger beer and a coffee and we sat on the patio on a sunny summer day. The gelato that they offer is also yummy! I definitely wanna come back!
Nice cafe with a good selection of brunch type food. They also had an array of baked goods which looked very tempting but I did not try them this time. Very cycling friendly with loads of cycle rack space. Staff were very friendly and service was fast, despite it being very busy. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available. Dietary restrictions: Staff inquired about dietary restrictions for my order, so I assume they are accommodated where required.
A truly unique spot with an upscale, high-society atmosphere (which can be slightly uncomfortable). The place is refreshingly different from the cookie-cutter hipster coffee shops that all look alike. The drinks are fantastic, and the service was excellent. A great stop on the way to the lighthouse!
I come here specifically for the Ratatouille dish. I ve never made it in time for the Breakfast menu (that ends at 11:30am) but the Lunch version piled on top of French fries is delicious! There are two dog-friendly outdoor patios so you can choose sun or shade. The young staff seem down to earth and the vibe is casual and relaxed, despite the Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghinis in the parking lot. You pay inside and then your items are brought to the table. Definitely a favorite spot of mine in West Van. Also worth trying the limited edition flavors at the ice-cream stand!
Cool little hidden gem perfect cruise around in your old car and stop in for coffee and snacks
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility from the Marine Drive entrance. Level entry, business on ground floor. Back Entry: flight of stairs. Food
Incredible experience here all the time! the level of service doesnt change rather it increases.
Wow, first time back in over a year and like a fine wine, Isetta just gets better with time. Upon entry we were greeted and welcomed by happy employees which is a rarity these days in many transactional establishments. The people in line were smiling and chatting - this is all a credit to the ownership and their vision of creating an in your kitchen/home-like atmosphere. Our meals and coffee were perfect - quality ingredients and the right value for price paid. There really are no downsides at this place... They should consider a second location somewhere in the city as the concept, atmosphere, staff, service and products are a winning combo!
Espresso tonic was bonkers good.
One of the best cafe in West Vancouver. Amazing vibe and great food. Had the best tomato soup
Stepping into Isetta Cafe immediately transports you to a cozy mid century modern haven that feels like a second home. The ambiance is a perfect blend of chic and comfortable, with super cool eclectic decor that invites you to relax and stay awhile. The staff here are genuinely friendly and make you feel like a valued guest and friend rather than just another customer. If you like coffee that is brewed to perfection, boasting rich, full-bodied flavors that make every sip a delight then this is your place. Cortado, cappuccino, oat milk late... No matter what your order is Isetta has something to satisfy your coffee cravings. The food is equally impressive. From the freshly baked pastries to the savory brunch and dinner options, every dish is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. What sets this place apart is the unique experience it offers. The combination of great coffee, delicious food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere makes Isetta a true gem in the heart of this beautiful West Vancouver seaside neighbourhood. Whether youre catching up with friends, stopping on your ride to Horseshoe Bay, or simply enjoying some alone time, this coffee shop is the perfect spot to unwind and savor the moment. Highly recommend!
Atmosphere is the best you get. The last two times, I didn t like the food as before and never experienced a good coffee, But I still like the place so much because of the atmosphere and location itself.
Isetta is a worthwhile stop for anyone near the West Vancouver area. Upon my first entrance to the café, a lovely waitress greeted me at the counter and took her time to explain the menu. The Avocado Eggs Benedict was the best Ive ever had and arrived at my table promptly. Isetta has a warm atmosphere complimented by a parking lot that will not disappoint those who enjoy car spotting.
Fantastic food, coffee and super friendly service
Cute place to stop and eat at.
It feels like you re in a roadside cafe in the film and everyone knows each other because it s the only place nearby Large room Young waiters Good music Various cozy tables Dietary restrictions: Ratatouille is hearty
A gem . Nice place to see cool cars.
Great service and coffee. Delicious food and great views!
Incredible atmosphere with amazing classic vehicles to look at and get pictures with. Modern style cafe with some fantastic service and food.
Great coffee and food. Sometimes parking can be a challenge, but worth it.
This place is gorgeous. The sandwiches are delish. The oat milk latte is up there with the best of vancouver. The vibe is wonderful.
Isetta used to be one of my favorite cafes, I ve been going there for a long time! it used to have professional and friendly staff! Not anymore! I had the displeasure of dealing with one of the rudest, grumpiest, snobbiest, arrogant ans angry person at their counter, there was no name tag but it was the big guy behind the counter, acting like he owns the place! What happened to Isetta s customer service? Has this guy had customer service training? Dude, it s not my fault you re not in a good mood! If you don t feel well then don t come to work!!!!! I will not be going to Isetta anytime soon, most definitely not on Sundays when the grumpy, angry and rude, big guy, works! Do yourself a favor and do the same! Worst experience!
A hidden gem in West Vancouver with great coffee! Highly recommend checking it out.
Fantastic themed place, great food, good coffee, funky, what more can u ask for. Must come.
Great cafe, delicious food/coffee and amazing staff. Very convenient quality and the atmosphere is great. A little off the beaten path but that s a part of its charm!
Great place! Good food and great coffee!
- Expensive drinks that arent worth the price. - Food is mediocre - Busboy had the audacity to come outside and tell a group of people to stop loitering (keep in mind these are paying customers with drinks in their hands). Your choice of location for the cafe and lack of parking is not the customers problem. Not to mention not a single car came in looking for a spot during this time.
Bad food, ever worse management. Lets break down the recent comment made by the owner shall we? We politely asked you guys approx 13 peeps if you can move along while you were standing beside a sign that said no loitering in the parking lot. So the owner is saying that paying customers cant stand outside beside their cars as they finish their drinks. Do you hate standing or are you upset because you didnt think parking through when you built the place? Perhaps people dont want to stay inside your empty and awkward cafe with old people staring at you. We are in residential neighbourhood. Awesome! Good for you! And whos choice was it to build a business in a residential neighborhood? You! Not sure what this has to do with anything. Thanks for letting us know? Taking up valuable parking space for other customers on a rainy day is not good for business. Should have thought about parking before you placed your cafe there, buddy. Poor planning by the owner/business should not reflect on whether a paying customer has a time limit in a parking stall. Great way to tell everyone you would rather customers not spend their time at your cafe. Do you harass the customers who drive on over, sit down with a laptop, and work/study about their parking spaces too? Cars just drive by when they see the lot full. Well luckily for you it was a rainy saturday morning and I can count on one hand the amount of cars that drove past, and none of them were slowing down to look for a spot. You really thought you had something with this reply. Your failures as a business owner and handling your busboys correctly will be the downfall of your cafe.
Foods great place is great but usually not the service especially today Saturday April 27th, as we gathered up all together to grab a coffee before we all head into a Carshow we get our stuff and leave into the parking lot as we get approached by someone telling us that if we arent customers we need to leave (WE HAD CUPS OF COFFEES IN OUR HAND) and gives off a little attitude and leaves, im sorry but this has been the second time weve been getting bad service no matter if im with my family or friends. i love the place and the food but i cannot stand with people like this!
Great food, fantastic staff and a really lovely atmosphere - would highly recommend it!
Very nice place and friendly staff!!
Isetta burger is definitely worth it. The bun was perfect .. Parking: Not a lot of spots Food : 5/5 |
A Bitter Brew: The Sorry State of Isetta Nestled inconspicuously amidst the bustling streets of West Vancouver, Isetta presents itself as a haven for cars and caffeine enthusiasts. However, behind its charming facade lies a disheartening reality of mismanagement and incompetence that leaves patrons with a bitter taste in their mouths - and not just from the coffee. The management at Isetta seems to have taken a crash course in customer service from the school of indifference. Complaints fall on deaf ears, with the manager conveniently disappearing whenever an issue arises. Its almost as if theyve mastered the art of ghosting their responsibilities, leaving patrons stranded in a sea of frustration. Lets talk ambiance, or lack thereof. Instead of the cozy atmosphere promised by their Instagram feed, Isetta exudes an awkwardness thats palpable. Awkward seating arrangements, mismatched decor, and a soundtrack that oscillates between elevator music and experimental jazz create an ambiance more akin to a failed avant-garde art installation than a welcoming car loving coffee shop. And now, lets address the pièce de résistance: the food and coffee itself. One might assume that a coffee shop would excel in the one thing its named after, but alas, Isetta manages to disappoint even in this regard. Whether its burnt beans, tepid temperatures, or a peculiar aftertaste reminiscent of yesterdays regrets, each cup serves as a bitter reminder of the establishments shortcomings. Dont bother with any of their other lukewarm offerings either. In conclusion, Isetta is a prime example of how not to run a coffee shop. From the chaos of its staff to the indifference of its management and the mediocrity of its offerings, its clear that this establishment is more suited to serving disappointment than coffee. Save yourself the trouble and seek your caffeine fix elsewhere.
Avoid at all costs. Waste of money. How disappointing.
Gross drinks. Bozo management with room temperature IQ. I give this place another year max.
Never coming back. Overpriced and bland.
Save your money and go elsewhere. Not worth the stop.
This place is a hidden Gem!!! Food, staff and ownership of Isetta deserve every accolade that comes there way. At the risk of attracting more people, this Café puts out the best burger I have had in all of BC. I will travel for a great hamburger and have (everyone has to have a hobby). The Isetta burger is one of those thats worth traveling for. In fact the entire menu is so well thought out and inspired that you cant miss with any of your choices. Both breakfast and lunch has some real strong contenders that will never disappoint On top of an outstanding menu the ambiance of the Café is incredibly comfortable both inside and out. So do yourself a favor and give it a try. On the other hand do me a favor and stay away........................Just Kidding.
Acoustics could be better, but otherwise amazing scenery and coffee!
This is overall a cool spot. Menu is limited but everything tasted good.
Located on Marine Drive. The delicious coffee and sweet cake are so delicious. I stopped by on my way to the trail. Since it was my daughters Parents Day event on May 8th, it had a special meaning.
Weird and hostile management
Terrible
Bozo staff and owner
Bad cafe. got gmails for days Thomas Food
Waste of money.
Avoid at all costs
Clown staff. bad drinks Food
Bad food bad atmosphere
Avoid.
Overpriced. Bad staff. Go elsewhere
Hands down my favourite café in Canada. Every time I am in Vancouver I come here EVERYDAY for either a perfect cortado and breakfast or something off their afternoon menu. Not a single thing here I wouldnt recommend. The staff go out of their way to make customers feel welcome and the space has to be the best pit-stop on a long bike ride in the city! Musette was great, but Isetta is the best <3
It s always busy, but between the vibe and the car museum it s my favourite place to go for coffee. Parking: There s just enough parking, but it s tight and a bit of a gong show. There s more around the back but you have to go way around to get there, through a residential street etc
Love love love this spot! I make sure to pass by every time I visit Vancouver.
Great ambiance.
Yikes on bikes. Avoid bad drinks
Expensive and tasteless drinks. Bland food. Much better offerings elsehwere!
Isetta Café in Vancouver is a gem! From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere and stylish decor make you feel right at home. The coffee is exceptional, brewed to perfection with rich, bold flavors that satisfy any coffee lover. Their pastries and light bites are fresh and delicious, offering a perfect complement to your drink. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ensuring a pleasant experience. Whether youre looking for a place to work, relax, or catch up with friends, Isetta Café is the ideal spot. Highly recommend!
Thomas and the team at Isetta always provide incredible food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Love stopping by during the work day for a cafe stop or with friends for drinks and food. Highly recommended!!!
Very stylish spot to hang your bike for a stellar cortado. Baristas are seriously talented with their coffees. Loved the patio space. Worth a stop for sure. Killer pastel de nata.
Love this place! Great food and coffee. A hidden gem.
A great little gem and destination to cycle to. Love the coffee, food (burger ) and space.
Amazing food amazing atmosphere
Absolutely stellar venue! Love it
Love this place! Coffee is spot on and the sandwiches are the best on the North Shore. A need to stop destination if you find yourself in West Vancouver. Bonus that theres always cool cars and bikes in the lot to gawk at.
Awesome food, awesome vibe. Great smashburgers and fresh pastas everytime we go there. Friendly staff and stylish place in a great location.
Awesome experience at this beautiful and friendly place. I will visit again every time Im in Vancouver.
Such cool place inside and out. My go to burger!!
Love this gorgeous space! An absolute gem, coffee is fantastic, staff are great. Always a treat to pop in!! Really brings the community together. Its really amazing what they did to that building!
Great brunch, drinks, pastries and happy hour! Perfect location, amazing view and caring owner & management. It s a must stop while biking horseshoe bay road!
What a great cafe to visit! I had an iced matcha latte with the Isetta breakfast. The food was really good with high quality ingredients. My matcha latte was made with high grade matcha, however it was lumpy and I could tell it was not sifted before mixing. Im not too particular so I still drank and enjoyed it. The ambience of this place is amazing. We were immediately greeted by warm earthy tones and thoughtfully placed decor. The quintessential cafe environment if you ask me.
Isetta has become one of my favorite go-to cafes on the North Shore. The staff and management are pleasant, and the atmosphere, food, and drinks are exceptional. Thomas and the team have nailed the concept, are dialed in, and have succeeded in providing an outstanding overall experience for locals and visitors alike.
Always a must stop when biking back from Horseshoe bay. Its so good, we even drive out here for brunch on rainy days. (Im a fair weather biker only)
Morning After Sando. That s what it s called and it hits the spot along with a great cup of coffee. The atmosphere is chill, bright and interesting. Worth the time to visit.
Frequent visitor. Always consistent and kind. Throw in a great setting and you re set for a great experience
Outstanding establishment, Thoroughly enjoy the coffee and food every visit.
Great cafe with a variety of options, was a little hard to find a spot as it was pretty busy but delicious food and great atmosphere
Lame cafe with a bozo owner
Waste of money. Overpriced and tastesless drinks/food. Wouldnt be surprised if the cafe closed like the owners previous one on Burrard. Food
Go if you re fan of old vintage cars! Nothing special about their menu
The breakfast I had was not worth the price. It was quite ordinary in taste and portion size, lacking any special qualities. I doubt I will be returning to this restaurant again.
The coffee is delicious, the spaghetti is delicious, and the atmosphere is great
Nice place! The food was good and I got a seahorse on my latte. How cool is that? Food
My husband & I just visited Isetta Cafe for the first time last week. We were greeted & served by Manelique. She was so full of energy & really offered us the Best service. Isetta has the best coffee we have had for a long time & our lunch was superb. The atmosphere is great & it s a super place to enjoy a yummy coffee anytime. Thank you Manelique, you are great at your job & you were the most friendly face at the cafe! Vegetarian options: The Ratatouille on Rice was Amazing!!
Found this place when we were looking for breakfast spots near Horseshoe Bay. The Isetta Breakfast was really nice, potatoes were delicious but the sourdough toast pieces were pretty small, and a little too hard. I love croissants and the pain au chocolate here did not disappoint!
Lousy ownership. Should have kept his manager job at Mc Donalds
Great Coffee Made by a Great Barista. A Bit Far though But its a Gem Place to Find. Quality Service and Coffee with the Help of Juan the Barista.
Very rich
Such a nice and cool place. I can tell they put so much thoughts and investment in this place. The bar and furnitures are beautiful, space is well designed with many natural lighting and open space. I cant tell enough how pretty this cafe is. I havent tried the food but I def come back for brunch.
Beautiful ambiance, great food and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
A favourite place to visit whenever we head to Lighthouse Park. The taste of their Latte are great and the amazing latte art makes them even better. First time we visited we had their steak frits and hamburger. Second time we had the mimosa, soup, and burger again. Definitely worth coming here. There are some parking in front of the cafe.
Mediocre coffee, croissant and service. Coffee - over-complicated latte arts Croissant - not toasted warm; staff wouldn t even offer the option. Service - staff seem pissed and unwilling to serve. The one that took our order misheard and looked annoyed when being corrected Vibe is ok-ish but when it gets busy on the weekend it would be too noisy.
Would have been nice to update your site you are closed March 20th. Long drive for nothing
very nice cafe near lighthouse park. perfect for a coffee break
