Always busy because of business meetings, very limited options for Sandwiches but a variety of pastries.

My favourite place!! Everything here is so good. I love the caneles but we also have sampled many of the goodies and they re all amazing. Staff are very attentive, service is excellent. Highly recommend! Kid-friendliness: They brought out some colouring things for my kids. Very thoughtful.

If you want great hot chocolate on the North Shore, this is not the place to go. Overly sweet hot chocolate is a big disappointment. Tastes like any common (cheap) hot chocolate youd get anywhere, but at a massively premium price. So its not great, and very expensive. Add a long wait and crowded tables and its a big pass. This is the 2nd time weve tried them and consistently disappointing. We didnt have any of the chocolates or cakes, so cant comment on them. If you want great hot chocolate on the North Shore, this isnt the place - go to Thomas Haas instead.

It was my first to go to Ambleside location. Nora was very nice. She professionally answered all our questions about the menu and helped us to choose what we all enjoyed the most.

The manager Pear took extra good care of me when I was juggling my kids. We all really appreciated her service.

First time there, INCREDIBLE

A fantastic café with a cozy atmosphere! The coffee was excellent, and the desserts were truly delicious. The service was top-notch. Nora, who works there, was super sweet and kind, and I got such a good vibe from her. Ill definitely be going back!

Thierry is a great spot for meetings. When you don t have anything else to do, you can come here, sit down, and keep yourself entertained with your phone or computer. It has a beautiful view facing the water. However, unfortunately, they don t offer any service.

Place has a nice decoration and the service is good. Pastries are looking good but taste wise not very satisfying.

I came in for my morning coffee and wanted the apple pie. As it was still early in the morning, it wasnt quite ready yet and was waiting to be cut. Miku was so kind to let me know every step of the way how much longer it would take, and she made a point to catch me to let me know when it was ready. Thierrys almond croissants speak for themselves as exceptional. However, in less than a few months it is clearly noticable that shrinkflation is present in the size of the croissants. The croissants have shrunk in size but increased in price. Unfortunate for such a beautiful and quality coffee shop to be following that path.

Way too long to make my coffee. I am a pretty patient person...they have ample staff. I think, sometimes, they try to group similar orders together in an effort to save time...but then they just end up tripping over each other...and I find that, too often, I receive my drink at the same time as others who ordered after me. Many other coffee shops are doing this also...but it doesnt work optimally. People were complaining about how long their coffees were taking. Customers pay where they order, and go up to counter to collect their order...not sure how there is nobody ordering in front of me...and I see no one waiting...and yet I always wait at least 10 minutes. I do love Thierry...just wish one mocha or one latte didnt take over 10 minutes...

I love the place, the desserts and the beverage. Is a must to go and sit outside and enjoy the view. During the week is not crowded. The price is reasonable, the place is clean, and the staff is friendly but I feel they need a waitress to clean up. Thanks for the water station!

Racist and classist staff. Was somewhat enjoying my coffee when I watched a woman who spoke with a Latino accent walk in wearing casual attire. She waited in line like everyone else, and when approached the counter to request her drinks, was directed to the bar to order. When she approached the bar, the bar tender refused to accept the customer had waited in line, even though the customer clearly made her case and people had witnessed. The manager came out and reproached the customer completely disregarding what the customer said. This isn t the first time I ve seen this type of conduct here, but it will be the last. Not willing to support a business that allows employees to profile based on accent and attire, not to mention has a managerial staff that does the same.

One of my favorite places to get a beverage and a delicious dessert in West Van. They get very busy in their peak hours but generally can get a table. The outdoor seating is so great with heating for cool days. So impressed with the customer service by Calvin and the chef who went above and beyond to get a birthday cake ready for me in record time when I forgot to order it in time!

I tried pistachio hot chocolate but the taste wasnt good.It was so pricey for that quality. Tiramisu cake was good.

Overall a great spot to have a nice treat and drink. Some things are on the pricey side but that s the vibe. It s a classy spot with ample seating, high ceilings, nice decor and food displays. You can help yourself to sparkling or still water which is a nice touch. The pastries and desserts we ve tried have always been good. We will definitely visit again!

Excellent sweets and great atmosphere

I was a guest at Thierry Ambleside and all I know is I need to go there again alone. The atmosphere and food showcase is fresh, clean and super attractive from cakes to cake pieces, desserts, bakery and drinks including a full menu there is something for everybody. For the none sweet lovers inside of you, I tried the filo baklava that was crunchy and not sweet. A balance to go with the Americano and give it a great taste. I will go again and try more food favourites.

I recently had the displeasure of dining at Café Thierry located on Ambleside, and it was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that customer service is not a priority here. The staff was incredibly rude and inattentive, making me feel like an unwelcome inconvenience. The atmosphere was equally disappointing. The decor looked outdated and poorly maintained, with dirty tables and uncomfortable seating. It was so noisy that having a conversation was nearly impossible. The food was abysmal. My meal arrived cold and was clearly made with low-quality ingredients. The coffee tasted burnt, and the pastries were stale. It was a complete waste of money. Overall, I would strongly advise anyone to avoid Café Thierry on Ambleside. There are plenty of better options in the area, such as Crema, where the staff is friendly, the ambiance is pleasant, and the food and drinks are of much higher quality.

It s a relatively huge coffee shop by the ambleside park and beach. Definitely worth a visit whenever you come to that area. Awesome drinks amd delicatessen for everyone taste.

Hi, had interesting experience today. Didn t expect from Thierry because I am old time customer. Visited the place at around 7 pm. I am tripping sometimes when talking, especially with new people. I was surprised that bartenders (young girl and dark skin guy next to her) laughed at my face in front of my wife when I tripped while was placing the order. Weird experience. Pretty unprofessional making fun of someone s imperfections and furthermore, humiliate man s dignity in front of his woman. Never had such kind of experience anywhere. Have doubt that I will be back again

Great view

The place was so peaceful and a perfect spot for sunset. The coffee is excellent and I really enjoyed the mango fromage and vanilla bean bar. The staff is so welcoming and I will never forget Chery, she is has a beautiful smile and very efficient in cleaning tables and she is the one who suggested the cakes. The flower arrangement in the center really caught my attention it was perfect and real flowers, and it made the store look elegant.

Great place to relax and work, love the sweets and the staff is friendly and kind and amazingly patient often while im there I see how they deal with Karens male and female alike that harass staff and threaten to give bad rating to get there way well heres my 5 star to counter.

We visited a few days and we loved the ambience, service and especially the counter staff who served. Lovely woman name Maneliek.

My family and I visited here on a rainy weekend, seeking warmth and indulgence. We opted for a sweet affair, ordering three macarons, a chocolate trio, and a tiramisu. The macarons stole the show with their impeccable taste and texture, leaving us craving for more. However, the chocolate trio seemed a tad past its prime, lacking the freshness we anticipated. The tiramisu, unfortunately, missed the mark, resembling more of a plain cream than the flavorful delight we had hoped for. Despite the culinary rollercoaster, the ambiance enveloped us in a cozy embrace, offering respite from the dreary weather outside. Moreover, the customer service surpassed our expectations, with attentive staff ensuring our comfort throughout the meal. Parking: Enough free street parking spots are available. Wheelchair accessibility: It s right by the street, and you have access very easily.

I really like this place, it s very spacious and the view is very relaxing. The food is expensive but worth it. I will never forget the girl who clean my table I think her name is Cerry she said she is from Philippines she smile a lot and and I she sings so good. Definitely I will always come at Thierry for my coffee and cakes.

It is hard to find fault with classic French desserts when they are well-executed. The not-too-sweet Chocolate Trio at the Aquilini-owned Thierrys was very nice, but the Millefeuille probably sat too long. The pastry should be airy, crispy, and flaky. A better description of the pastry served us was soggy. Service is cafeteria style. Customers line up to make choices, pay for them, then carry the food and drink to a table. When paying by plastic, youre offered a screen that suggests a few different tip amounts, none of them modest. I prefer the European custom described by Rick Steves: Servers are paid a living wage, and tips are considered a small bonus to reward great service or for simplicity in rounding the total bill to a convenient number. In many countries, 5 percent is adequate and 10 percent is considered a nice tip. Tipping for what amounts to self-serve food seems inappropriate. One other complaint is that a few moments after we received our coffee and desserts, we were told the restaurant was closing in one minute and we should get ready to leave. There was no offer of takeout containers for the uneaten food or the unfinished beverages. We should have been warned about the impending closure when we placed our order. For about $20, we took a lemon pound cake home for grandkids. The first reaction was, Not as good as Grandmas. I tasted it and barely noticed the taste of lemon.

Thierry had always been one of my favourites cafes in town! This location is very spacious and the location is also great. Staff are nice and warm as well

I cant get over their almond croissants. So grateful for this location! Its an absolute gem on the North Shore. Coffee tastes way better with a view of the ocean.

We came into Thierry for coffee with some clients, I must say that Manelique gave us the most professional & friendly service. She gave great suggestions for our pastries & was genuinely passionate about the cafe. There are so many people working there & honestly Manelique is my favourite by far.

The best place for desserts in West Vancouver!!

Great place to get a dessert or something sweet and enjoy the view of the Ambleside beach. I ordered the Earl Grey Blackberry Chocolate Cake with a cup of london fog, and they were a great match. Washrooms were very clean and accessible as well.

Save your hard earned money, buy from somewhere else ! Over rated! Over priced! Mediocre quality! I got a Bday Cake and there was no cake in it! It had only two thin layers of mousse with lots and lots of cream! 50 dollars for cream only! Shouldnt have been labeled and sold as a cake ! I called them back explaining my utter dissatisfaction and they offered a %25 discount on my next purchase! They didnt care that it was my bday and that their cake caused such huge dissatisfaction and disappointment!

Just wanted to give you guys a shout out for the tasty ham croissant and the chocolate eclair. I think the waitress name was manalique and she was super friendly & helpfull.

Nice location but staff only care about getting the orders in and don t even smile.

I was disappointed during my recent visit. I asked for a menu and was rudely told to take a picture instead. When I wanted to order pastries around 5 PM on a Sunday, I was dismissively and again rudely told they were nearly out because it was Sunday, even though they close at 9 PM. This experience has made me reconsider returning.

The food is good; as you d expect given the prices you pay. It s pricey. Be prepared. The only reason why I am giving them two stars for service was because of the rude attitude of one of the barista s, when I asked for a small cup of whipped cream for my dog. For those who don t know Starbucks outlets are very dog friendly and they prepare a Puppuccino for free. This a small cup of whipped cream for dogs and our dog loves a puppuccino. Thierry seems to show a bit of corporate greed by charging for a little bit of whipped cream. Thierry really should reconsider this as it cheapens them. When the barista said there was charge I pointed out that Starbucks didn t charge and her response was rude. It was offensive. Anyway, this experience made the service was disappointing.

Ordered a cake for a friend, the triple-layered Chocolate cake and it was divine. The staff who assisted was so accommodating and helpful. She even offered for a dedication note. I like how proactive she was, I ordered a Hot Chocolate while waiting. It was a hectic morning at the Cafe. Can t blame the nice view and weather that day. It is strategically located. If you need unwinding from a Cortisol spike, this is the place upu can grab your coffee, hot chocolate or any drink that will warm your heart. Such a scenic view while sipping your coffee. Well, you have to overlook it with the cars parked right out in front I guess that s the only downside. But it has a high-ceiling interior so it gives that airy vibe and the place is massive.

Finding hair in a sandwich at this restaurant was upsetting. When I approached the staff about it, they showed no reaction or apology, merely responding with okay.

Modern and full of light. Expensive (2 coffees and two slices of cake= $38). No service at all. You have to carry your stuff to your table when they call you, like at Starbucks. Patisserie is good, but very rich in butter and, as I said, very expensive. Tables are small and very crowded. When busy it becomes also super noisy, in spite of the high ceiling. Somehow very North American, not French.

The pastries are delicious. The coffee is good, but I asked for a latte, and I got a bad steamed cappuccino (yes, some people know the difference). I didnt enjoy it at all. All that I wanted was a really nice and creamy latte with something sweet... they totally kill the mood. Coffee was too expensive for what I had.

Since a year I was waiting for this Thierry, finally went last Wednesday,but disappointed we ordered 1 tiramisu, 1 spicy caramel savarin, 1 millefeuille, for about $40 with tips. For Thierry s reputation, for Ambleside spot, I m not complaining the price. But the quality: The savarin was so so sweet that I felt like eating sugar directly, and not being able to taste the cinnamon spice and the rhum taste. The only flavor from orange zest was a plus to balance the strong sweet taste. I m an amateur of French pastry and i know what Im talking about. I dont think Thierry uses bad ingredients but definitely needs to improve recipes to make the real FINE pâtisserie. $12 each cake vs this quality is very disappointing and definitely not worth it. I d rather go to Thomas Hass. Service: the Asian lady was very nice to welcome us and was trying to present us different products with a smile. The cashier gentleman was avoiding eye contact and didnt have a smile. We were asked to take our tray at the end of the countertop, no table service. Free sparkling water is great. Environment : a very busy and noisy chic West Van ladies salon de thé. Toilette door faces directly to bench seats is less chic.

I was lucky enough to visit Thierry on a quiet Tuesday evening. Delicious pastry and wide variety of herbal teas met my expectation, so I grabbed couple of croissants to go on the way home. Thanks to all the team for excellent job! Food

Great deserts and Chocolates and goob breakfast optioms. Coffee is always a bit burned and bitter.

I waited 30 minutes for a hot chocolate, asked them if it was coming any time soon, they said it was not registered and you have to wait in the line again. Hot chocolate arrived eventually, cold and tasteless, same was the cake, very mediocre. Wouldnt try them again. Save your time and money. Food

The owner of this pastry shop is a very unpleasant man. Let me explain, I order Plains brioches (10) and onion brioches (5) over the phone, they take my order and I ask if I am in Ambleside, they tell me yes. on Sunday. I come to pick up my order that I had made 48 hours in advance, I am told that I am in the wrong place. Ok, so I go to Vancouver on Alberni Street even though I live in West van. Today, Im going to Thierrys to get some brioches at 8:30 a.m. I am told that it is not ready to come back at 10 a.m., I come back at 10 a.m., still not ready, I ask if I can pay in advance, I am told no, because as long as the goods are not not in the window, they cant cash in, ok. No one ever asks me how many I want and anyway, they tell me I cant order in advance. I return at 10:30 as I was told to do. I order 10 brioches, I am told (the boss) that I can have six or no more, I explain the situation, he stubbornly refuses. And in a very disrespectful way, to sell me 10 buns. I tell him that I will come back and order more brioches, he tells me that I will not be served. The employees are all charming, charming, but the management is incredibly unfriendly and not at all businesslike. I wont go to this place again, although as an expat, I love eating my brioches on the weekends, but the experiences I had in this branch were so difficult that I prefer to do without them. I dont recommend this place

I have been a frequent customer at Thierry , unfortunately my last visit was very disappointing. The latte that I ordered, did not taste like the usual latte i always order. It tasted very off and i asked them to remake me the latte. The attendant at the front said they ll make me one asap. I was waiting over 20 minutes and there was so sign of my latte. i approached the barista and they said there is no order under my name. I was pretty much dismissed from the waiting area on how they ignored me. I was very disappointed. horrible customer service!!!!.

Nice decor insidr, but 9 dollar hot chocolate was mostly milk. Why so stingy with chocolate for a chocolate specialty place? Also some guy who seemed like the owner maybe? came up and told me to move our bikes off the ratio railing, citing insurance reasons. Big time karen vibes. Its Christmas eve dude, chill out. Id avoid this place as a cyclist.

They don t have anything that is Vegan here. There are many French chefs that do vegan food and vegan pastries

I went over for the first time to Thierry and I was immediately greeted my manelique. She was extremely helpful and such a nice person to talk to . Great service truly does make a difference. She recommended the marquise and the Spanish late . The cafe has a great vibe and an amazing view . Will come back

DO NOT COME! Staff are super rasist ! The cashier is very irresponsible. We waited for 10 minutes waiting in line and no one helped us. The cashier was avoiding eyecontact with us and avoided our questions. We finally ordered Maccaron and when we are at the pick up area, they said the area is for drink only. We went back to the pastry place to find our macarron. and then they called our name at the they so called drink only pick up area. We had to go back and forth three times to get just two items. The service is very disorganized. The short-haired Asian lady is super rude to us by saying I called your name!. The cashier ran to us. She held our macaron and didnt hand it over, assuming we had received our order when we hadnt. The entire service was chaotic, while everyone else, who appeared to be white, seemed satisfied. I cant help but wonder if my skin color influenced the appalling service.

Extremely busy queuing out of the door, barely any sandwiches left, overpriced, slow service (the staff couldn t cope with how busy it was), coffee tasted burnt and hot chocolate was cold.

i recently discovered thierry when i visited from toronto and i loved this place . i went on new years and the place was incredibly packed , the person who served me was called manelik. she was so personable and knew how to handle my dietary restrictions and allergies and helped me find the perfect desert for me and my family . despite how busy it was she never failed to be patient with us. will be coming back.

This location, being brand new, is very neat, and the atmosphere is really good. It s a great place to have meetings with friends. However, their Matcha latte wasn t my cup of tea due to the matcha chunks in it. On the positive side, there is a wide variety of pastries and chocolates. I would recommend trying the almond croissant you won t regret it. Overall, it s a good experience, and I will go back again. Dietary restrictions: Haven t seen any Vegan options!

Definitely my new fav spot to have coffee at. I was helped by Manelique and she was extremely helpful in giving us recommendations and even though we were a pretty large group she was so patient and had a smile on her face all the time . We got the Black Forest cake , the marquise and the lemon tart and we paired them with Spanish lates . The coffee was also fantastic and they have a large variety of chocolates macaroons and cookies which we will be back to try!

I usually go to this branch for my weekend coffee and sweets, always good, today I had a great experience with their customer service regarding getting a tiramisu .

After 2 locations you would expect they make some changes based on the feedback from their customers. What a shame, as the pastries are really good. The stress that is put on the customer when coming here is unreasonable. There is no proper ordering system, you are left figuring out where to line up first depending on what you want to order. There is only staff behind the counter, no one to guide you otherwise. Once you finally have your pastries and drinks - dont expect anyone to bring that over to you - you will be left fighting for a table. First come first server for tables? Forget about it, someone can walk in a claim a table while they arrived after you. And the staff at Thierry? They could not care less. I could be very understanding if this is the first location and they are overwhelmed by success. But this happens at all of their locations. You wont easily see me again at one of their locations until they sort this out.

While Thierry has been a fixture in authentic french pastries, in recent times quality has been suffering. Case in point, the new venue in Ambleside: pastry items are way overpriced, for example nearly $12 for millefeuilles, or sometimes stale croissants for about $5. Worst still, customer service can be appalling with rude entitled behaviour from some employees

We explored Thierry Ambleside for the first time recently, just to have a look. The interior design of Thierry is absolutely beautiful. We were put off my the number of people sitting around with laptop computers on their tables. Perhaps a sign from Management on the door stipulating that laptop computers are not allowed - would be incentive enough for us to return and actually order something.

Amazing ambience and delicious pastries and flavourful coffee. The apricot danish was very fresh and flaky. Great customer service.

best pastries in town, but unfortunately below average coffee

I was very exited about this new branch and went there with my friends last week. Very disappointing service! The table and floor were wet as there was a water spillage and the waitress only tried to clean the table with a wet cloth which still left the table wet and didn t care to clean the floor and I ended up doing it myself to prevent any slippage.

So glad to have Thierry on the north shore finally! Already quite busy at 10:00 am Wednesday. Their coffee was good and strong, and pastries nice and fresh. But what I liked the most was their tart! Tried a morello cherry frangipane tart and it was heavenly delicious! Perfect mixture of flakey almond sable and not too sweet content inside!

The place is gorgeous very large and lux ambience but the 3 fresh pastries we had ordered were not the best especially Black Forest slice and Tiramisu slice was nothing like what it s supposed be. We will definitely not go back there again

The environment have such a wonderful lighting and so open, Ive been to the other 2 locations and I must say that this one is the better of the 3, wonderful staff, so friendly and welcoming.

I ordered a latte, and a pumpkin tart. The latte was good but the pumpkin tart had everything but pumpkin... It was full of ONLY raisins inside and I had to pick it apart for the filling (barely anything). They are known for their delicious pastries but I was just left disappointed unfortunately.

Such a great place. Big and spacious and of course desserts are amazing and the coffee so good. Highly recommend! Be back a few times already!

the pastries were mediocre, and the macarons came crushed in the box of 7. what was the most shocking was that the service was below average, i emphasized wanting an iced drink and was served it hot which was fine as it wasn t a big deal and i could get it iced afterwards. however, when i mentioned this to the lady at the barista station, she had a lot of attitude and was like okay and her expression was of annoyance which genuinely didn t make me feel welcome at all. and assuming by her attire, it seemed that she was the manager here, which makes me wonder what all the other staff are like. once i had finished with my food, i tried to put it somewhere where the workers could collect it without taking up tables for other customers. i tried asking the baristas, there were two there and i stood there with my dirty dishes for 10 minutes before one of them finally looked up and acknowledged me which felt so dehumanizing as they acted like i was wasting their time. i was just trying to be nice and was met with disgusted looks, what. the coffee was mediocre and definitely not worth the price, and i tried out the pistachio hot chocolate thinking i d try something new but it just tastes like milk on top of being super expensive. i d much rather stop by mcdonald s to get their coffee because at least i get a price guarantee. the only reason why this has two stars is because of the very nice lady and the guy who took my order from a previous visit, the lady recommended me a black forest cake. although i didn t particularly enjoy it, i still appreciated that lady and she had even went that extra step to ask me how it was after i finished. oh and there was this slightly older lady working here who thanked me for putting my dishes away which i thought was nice, even if it was the bare minimum. if all workers act like the baristas that i met today TOWARDS customers, then i don t know how they would act behind the counter. i hope that nice lady and the guy who helped me a few days ago finds a better job elsewhere. oh and the nice older lady, she deserves better than running around getting dishes while rude baristas are working at the forefront.

Charming restaurant, But were very dissatisfied with the told it Some of the food was gluten free which I need and I ordered the soup, It had a terrible taste to it, Which left me feeling very sick for a few days.. So we called and spoke to the operations manager who basically dismissed it. This whole experience has not been pleasant. And unfortunately by the way the management handled it I will not be returning.

I ordered the croissant au jambon, chocolate trio and dark liquid chocolate (not in picture). The dark chocolate was not too dark and it was liquidy in texture and not as syrupy as Mink. But still very flavorful. The croissant au jambon was better than expected. Flaky and buttery like a croissant should be. The chocolate trio was def a bit sweet, but the darkness in the chocolate balanced it well. Cozy luxurious environment. Would def come again

I came in with my husband and daughter for our 2nd visit to Thierry Ambleside. We had a few hiccups involving some missed items and less than stellar beverages during our first visit, but the Manager invited us to come back, and offered a gift certificate as well. Im a strong believer in 2nd chances so I welcomed this opportunity to revisit Thierry Ambleside. When I came in to pick up the gift certificate, I got to meet the Manager himself and the gift certificate was accompanied by a handwritten Thank You card, thanking me for giving Thierry the opportunity to serve me again. My husband and I were very impressed with this gesture. Were all only human, and so mistakes do happen sometimes. Even 5 star establishments can make mistakes. How an establishment recovers from a mistake however, is what sets apart the OK establishments from the upper class establishments. The way in which Thierry responded to the blunders that occurred during our first visit showed a lot of class to us. We decided to use the gift certificate immediately. I ordered a slice of opera cake, a small pumpkin tart, an americano, a housemade chai latte, and a white peach soda for us all to share. Things went smoother this time. None of our orders were missing, and we were happy with our drinks & food. My daughter had ordered the same beverage last time and didnt taste any peach in it that time. She said she tasted more peach in her drink this time. Absolutely loved the Opera cake! It might just be my new favourite at Thierry. Thank you Thierry for the gift certificate, the yummy food & drinks, and for making the effort to respond to the observations that were made in our first visit. I do not recommend this coffee shop! Very slow line, at least 10 min wait for my small americano, and when I finally got coffee, it came in a tiny cup all for $4.15! Not impressed. So many staff working too, and service was not great, very disappointing

In the shortage of nice coffee shops in Vancouver, Thierry is definitely one of the best ones out there. The interiors and the vibe of this place is very pleasant. They have a wide range of pastries and cakes. It s located in a nice area with views of the water. They have patio seats with heaters.

Manelique is AMAZING!! She was really friendly and helpful. She recommended the Iced Spanish latte and I love it!! Major downside though is the dessert. Not vegetarian or kid friendly. They either have pork gelatine or alcohol in it. Please put more options without neither of those things.

This is the place West Vancouver has been waiting for. Perfect location with ocean views including sunsets. The interior is elegant with 30 foot ceilings. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.

Very nice place either for work meeting , chilling with friends or even a coffee date. Me and my husband enjoy the desert and coffee here. I didn t like my first choice of coffee so the waitress gladly changed it for me. Very nice staff in general. The place is very clean and neat. I loved the atmosphere too . This place is spacious and well decorated. They also have variety of choices for dessert and drinks. It s a bit over priced though. Be aware that their coffee is strong. I like the idea of available water tap accessible for everyone.

This was a long wait. It is an excellent patisserie with warm and great service. They have some of the best croissants in the GVRD. This location has much better ambiance than the other branch in downtown. The croissants were excellent with a crunchy outside and light fluffy inside without being too buttery. The lemon tart was excellent and the jambon blanc sandwich was great in a mini baguette. Next time though Ill have it cold. The pithivier was unique and they have sparkling water on the tap. Update: this is now the in place in West Vancouver.

I dont know what the womans problem was she didnt want to speak with me she didnt want to take my order and she gave me attitude luckily a guy there that actually wanted to do his job took the request considering this is my first experience with thierry i might not come back. Food : 5/5

From the moment I walked through the door on the weekend, I was greeted by the most pleasant and welcoming hostess. Her genuine smile and friendly demeanour immediately set a positive tone for the entire dining experience. It was clear that she took pride in her role as the first point of contact for customers. What struck me most was her attentiveness and patience as she took our orders.

I have been to Thierry several times as I really like the treats & coffee. However the whole customer service experience is beyond frustrating. Today we were at the location mid afternoon & the place was packed which Is great.... but there were 7 people standing behind the counter & we were trying to order some cookies while a couple took a very long time deciding on their food order... so we waited behind them while watching 6 other customer service people just standing there. I find it irritating to give my food order & name to one CSR then have to give a separate order to someone else for coffee.... its so disjointed and inefficient. I was asked twice for details regarding my food order & then waited too long to even order the coffee. After your order coffee you are standing around waiting in a crowded area in front of the coffee bar for a very long time as you have got your food & the baristas are slow. To me this is not good customer service whatsoever. Why not relieve the customers of standing around at the coffee bar by giving them a number and delivering the food personally? The staff seem quite young, not particularly friendly or well versed at delivering a high level of customer service. The morale of the staff seems poor & no one seems to smile or be having any fun. Of course they ask you for a tip at the time for payment... tip for what? Sub par counter service.....The prices are high & Im sure that the management can compensate their staff fairly. Something is definitely off at this location. Love the treats but the service has been terrible each time I have been there.

Great/beautiful location. Good first date spot. I like their downtown location & this is its twin but better view/parking/seating. Of course the desserts & cafe menu is to die for. Theres savory & lunchy items & alcohol too. Id recommend. NOT stroller/wheelchair friendly due to front door s excessive weight (no automation & two arms needed to open) & crowded table setup.

The drinks I got were fine nothing wrong with it the service was terrible though. The cashier was nice and all but if it weren t for the one guy who I don t know what his job is assuming he was the manager or something but he had the audacity to tell me I cut in line? I m sorry but I was waiting in line for at least 3 minutes so I don t get how I could possibly have cut in line. Especially when the lady who came after me saw me already standing there cause there was only one person in front of me when I got there. Yet this guy said I cut in line and decided to say to take the order of the lady behind me first?? I didn t argue with the guy cause I didn t want to cause a scene but it ruined the whole experience for me especially since this was my first time visiting this location and I live really close too so I was hoping to have a good experience so I could come back definitely not planning on coming back after that. Ruined my mood if I m being honest. Only reason I m giving this a one star is cause the drink wasn t bad and the cashier was nice. I wish I could give this zero stars.
