We had a great first experience at Tenton today for dinner! We went in near 8pm closing time, but the staff were still extremely accommodating and we did not feel any rush whatsoever. ordered the Regular Ramen with karaage. The broth was flavorful but light and refreshing, while there were many other toppings. I do wish the fried chicken was served separately, however. It quickly got soggy. The restaurant is decorated pleasantly, with special seasonal decor for Halloween. Service wise, the staff mainly stayed in the kitchen, but our wishes were to quickly and efficiently, especially considering we had a party of 10.
I’ve been here and now a handful of times. compared to other places, they’re Katsu and especially the curry is untouchable The Portions and quality aren’t even a question they’re very fair and super delicious. Their ramen is also very delicious it has a very homie-friendly vibe. Service was honestly so good, especially the last time we went to our server Reina?! went far and beyond and made sure we were taken care of. going to be my go-to stop for me and my lady. Can’t wait to go back
We went to the Ambleside beach and found this place nearby. We ordered pork katsu and fish katsu. The pork katsu tasted good but we all agree that the fish Katsu was the best! We highly recommend it. I love they have kid menu. The plating looks great. My son enjoyed his meal.
I come here occasionally for a bite while waiting for the stupid traffic jam going back South to clear. The Tonkatsu was crispy and juicy and of good portion. Ramen broth was rich and can choose Karage (fried chicken) instead of Cha Siu. Good service and kids friendly.
Food and service were so amazing! It was just the right amount of food too. Not too pricey...just right. If you like spicy, definitely ask for the hot sauces because they're super yum. Highly recommend
Really yummy and cozy restaurant. Their ramen is really tasty and big portion. The katsu was really soft and crispy outside. Green tea gelato was so delicious. I wish there was another location in Burnaby. I remember the previous owner was a close friend of mine and I was expecting to see him here but I heard there’s a new owner. Keep it up!
Staff are friendly and provide great service. Atmosphere is warm, mild, welcoming, they play soft Korean music, and they have an xmas tree and tasteful festive decorations and lights. I ordered the Cheese Katsu, and my partner ordered the Black Ramen. The ramen was rich, full of toppings, the black garlic oil was a good addition to the flavor, it's a very well balanced bowl of ramen. My Katsu was fried to perfection, light and crispy, cheese was melted and full flavored, all wrapped in a juicy layer of tasty pork that when dipped in the sauces, complimented the Korean rice like pepperoni on an Italian pizza. If you're in West Vancouver, head over here, they don't compromise on quality, and that's what your deserve. The pricing is a little above average, but worth every penny.
We've been toTenton Ramen and Tonkatsu a number of times already but this is the first time we got around to trying their Tonkatsu. Traditionally, tonkatsu is a breaded, deep fried pork cutlet. I was elated to read the menu and see that they not only have a Vegetarian option but they have a new House Special version of it that comes with melted mozzarella cheese! Featured here: Takoyaki Seafood Tempura Udon Original Ramen with Karaage Chicken Hire Katsu Tofu Teppan Katsu Started off the meal with Takoyaki which was hot with a wonderfully soft and gooey centre. Both of our katsu dishes were superb. They were crispy and didn't feel excessively greasy. I really loved the cheese on my Tofu Teppan Katsu, and the sauce was very flavorful. Also, a big fan of food that arrives on a sizzling hot iron plate! There's an option of regular or spicy on the menu, so do make sure to inform your server of which one you'd like. Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street Location: 1731 Marine Dr., West Vancouver, BC
We liked our food! We will go there again for sure!
Other than the corn likely taken from the can, food is good.
Great ramen, food came out quick and nice servers
The kimchi cheese katsu nabe was sooooooo good and decent amount for $26 really satisfing experience overall
The best ramen in the city
I make a detour when I m passing through west van to stop here. The house pickle and chilli oil are very good.
Today was a good day for (´ `) Recommended dishes
Very good
I searched for a good restaurant in West Vancouver on Naver, and the kimchi cheese katsu nabe was highly praised on a blog, so I ordered it and it was really below my expectations. The taste is so ordinary, its not cost-effective, and the one you see in the picture costs $26.50... Its more expensive than Saku, a pork cutlet restaurant. I went to eat at 4pm, so it wasnt busy, but the server didnt even bother to check the table, and was fiddling with the poster board and cell phone with his back to the table. After the meal, I went directly to the POSGI and paid the bill. What made me even more shocked was that they set the highest tip percentage first. Aside from the taste, I really didnt like that they set a tip like that without providing service. Overall, this is a restaurant I never want to go to again.
Very tasty ramen, probably the most delicious ramen I ate in Vancouver, the waitress is smiling and sweet, but she alone is not enough to serve all the tables efficiently, and you have to wait for her for a long time! I also didn t like that when paying by card they immediately offer a huge tip of 18% starting!
My favorite ramen spot in West Van! Everyone I have brought here raves about it
Ordered the ramen and katsu combo and it only came with 2 pieces of katsu. The photo in the menu was misleading because it showed 4 pcs of katsu. I would say the service was decent but definitely was not happy with the misleading photo. Service
My favourite chicken katsu place!! Wonderful hidden gem in West Van. They also have a great little kids menu for our little one.
I ordered their basic ramen with karage for take out. It was fresh, delicious and ready super fast. Would highly recommend.
The food was amazing, and the service from the one waitress was fantastic ! I m from the USA and was craving ramen, but the wait was so long due to lack of staffing! It felt like she was the only one working. Please hire more staff so that we can get seated faster, and served faster! Service from the female server was fantastic. Thank you
The food (Miso Ramen with Pork Katsu) was great. The staff was also really nice and I barely had to wait to get my food. The nice interior design, the view of the street and the relaxing music create the perfect atmosphere for me to enjoy my food, which lightened my mood immensely on the day of my visit. Additionally, the price is also very reasonable in relation to the amount of food. Would definitely recommend.
The service is very good and the food is good Kid-friendliness: The chicken and pork chops for kids were good Wheelchair accessibility: have
Oh, no. The server here doesnt know what to say in each situation. I was waiting for her to say Are you ready to order? or What can I get for you?, but instead she just stared at me without saying anything. I became speechless. And their combo doesnt offer Hire Katsu anymore(which was more tender), and Katsu became way smaller. Katsu sauce is not handmade, it tastes bad and Chashu or Karaage in Ramen is so salty.
Had the ramen combo and it was amazing! Best ramen in town
It takes one hour to serve the food. During this time no service at all, no water no nothing. Please consider increase number of chefs and waiters. Very frustrating experience.
A nice place to eat near the West Vancouver seawall!
Delicious food and great service. Large serving sizes!
One of the best ramen Ive eaten Definitely worth going Food
The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. I liked the cherry blossom tree decor at the center of the restaurant. There were both regular dining tables as well as bar seats at the side of the kitchen. Server was nice on the phone when making reservation as well as very friendly during the visit. Its was very nice to have the options of Rosu (loin) and Hire (fillet) for all the Katsu main dishes, even the kids menu. Curry was tasty and, like typical Japanese curry, it was mild in terms of spiciness. The dressing for the side salad was very good, I finished every single bit of it. The side miso soup was rich and delicious. The ramen was the thicker and curly type of noodle compared to the thinner and straight type servers in she ramen shop. I prefer the thicker type personally. The chashu was not too fat but still tender and juicy. We ordered the Black Ramen and it came with garlic slices/pieces, which added richer flavors to the bowl. The washroom was clean and is wheelchair accessible. We will definitely come back again and will recommend this restaurant.
delicious after a long time I tasted Ramen & Tonkatsu I liked the kindness and service as well as the taste of the food. See you next time. Have great success!
Good ramen!
Probably my favorite restaurant on planet Earth Kid-friendliness: The most thoughtful childs meal I have ever seen Food : 5/5 |
Did not know there was ramen in West Van! The broth and noodles were done perfectly. Bowls were deep and generous with toppings. Oishi desune!
Was a perfect lunch spot for a wet miserable day outside. The food was so good, the ramen and katsu combo was amazing bang for your buck and so delicious. The staff was so kind and service timely.
I dont recommend the ramen here. I had the original ramen with chicken karage. The broth was pretty flavourless. This is the first time Ive had ramen with chicken karage, and while I love chicken karage putting it in ramen doesnt seem like a good idea because it gets soggy right away. The karage was the best part though, even though it was a bit soggy even eating it right away. Everything else about the ramen was very meh. The worst part is that this meal gave me stomach cramps and diarrhea... However, the service was fine, and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant enough, if a bit noisy.
Excellent Ramen and Katsu Curry! We will definitely come again!
Very good
Really generous portions and great variety!
Great quality food. Friendly staff. Fair price and large servings. From Edmonton . And hot ramen was Damn hot.
A cut above most ramen! Loved my meal.
Everything was so good. Cannot wait to go back.
The best ramen shop to visit when youre really hungry in need of some mind-blowing spicy soup and good katsu all for a reasonable price, but there are many different menu items to choose from that are also very tasty cant wait to go back and eat some more delicious food. Parking: I always park in a parking lot down the street because in Vancouver, there are never parking spots in front of businesses most of the time Wheelchair accessibility: Side walk is big, and the ramen shop has a wheel chair ramp for easy entry and exit .
Nice place to sit, however, the ramen is very salty. Would recommend to ask to lower salt if you eat here. The takoyaki is great.
The ramen was delicious!
Fantastic ramen, well priced and staff ar wonderful
A nice one with nice service ! Wish there are more servers in this restaurant! The girl who served us is all by herself !
The atmosphere and shop design, service is quite good. But the food is way too salty, not only the soup of ramen, the curry and even the miso soup. First time, I cannot finish the small miso soup. My tongue felt numb after the meal. Looking through the reviews, this saltiness happened one year before. What happened?
Pretty solid Japanese ramen restaurant in one of the nicest places in West Vancouver. This one is above average ramen place in any standard so definitely recommending this place but parking is little tricky so park by the ocean and walk up to the street. Service was fast and food came out pretty fast as well. We will return.
The perfect dish for a rainy cold day like today! We had the vegetable ramen, the Black Ramen, Tofu Teriyaki Donburi. All dishes were second to none, the vegetarian ramen is the best I ve had in the city. Excellent service. Great ambiance. Highly recommend!
If you want to have the best ramen you have ever eaten in your life go to this place.
Delicious! Soba, kimchi cheese nabe I think it was called, and ramen. Very good. And very friendly staff, easy parking and clean and tidy.
Really tasty food and great service. Glad I randomly ended up here, as Ill definitely be coming back.
Very cute little place with incredible food. We tried their black garlic ramen and spicy miso ramen and both were fantastic! Very friendly stuff! We will definitely be back.
Non Japanese trying to run Japanese restaurants usually fails I can sense the effort but quality is just off. The noodles were done off (too soft ), broth was too diluted , Kara age was over fried (though the chicken was fresh ) There are better options near downtown or main
Very delicious ramen and tonkatsu! I have been here several times, and this place never fails to amaze me. The tonkotsu ramen broth is so rich and fragrant, and the tonkatsu is crispy and succulent. Their curry udon is delicious as well.
Food is always good! Parking: Side streets are usually empty. Food : 5/5 |
Their Ramen and service are good.
A family favourite. We love getting the pork katsu. It comes with generous portion of two crispy tender pork katsu, unlimited rice, miso soup and cabbage slaw. I love the dressing of the slaw, it s addictive!
Very tasty, huge portion and well priced ramen. Great atmosphere and service :)
Such a beautiful flower at the middle of restaurant, I feel happy to see it
Hightly recommended! Pork tonkatsu is excellent, and especially the house made tonkatsu sauce!
We ordered spicy miso ramen combo with chicken katsu, katsudon and takoyaki. All were really good, especially the katsu . The server was very lovely and attentive. Would recommend!
The Ramen I ordered came with FOUR massive pieces of nicely prepared chashu (see in the second photo). At most Rajendra restaurants I have to order extra chashu to get that much so I feel inclined to post a review and throw some kudos One star knocked off because the corn is from a can which I find inedible and puzzling. I dont understand why ramen restaurants dont choose frozen corn (which actually tastes like corn) over canned (which tastes like chemicals). In my opinion canned vegetables dont belong in restaurants, but Im sure not everyone agrees and that this restaurant is loved by many locals.
Amazing as always The best Katsu in Vancouver. Worth the drive from Kitsilano
Always love eating here!
Tonkatsu is a bit small and not crunchy. The ramen was nice
Very good ramen!!
What a Wonderful experience !
Best Ramen on North shore.
First time visited this place, ramen was so delicious, coming back for sure!
Quiant little place with really good food! Their black garlic ramen actually had whole cloves of roasted garlic in it which I dont see very often. Their katsu is also and the have a combo to get a katsu and a ramen which is perfect for someone wanting to try both.
Delicious food! Fast and amazing service
Pretty good ramen. Broth could be a bit more flavourful. Chicken was a bit dry. Great kids meal. Pork Katsu filet was good but not as tender as others. Nice atmosphere.
Great for young kids. Pretty solid black ramen.
Would definitely recommend the curry here. Tried Karaage Curry Don and it was beyond delicious!
Authentic food, incredible flavour and good value. Staff are always friendly! YUMMY! Recommended dishes
Cute little place my pal and I found impromptu after being STARVING from being in traffic on the highway for hours. I was happy to find veg friendly tofu Katsu, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was so much food and it was so good. I only have good things to say.
Service was slow and understandably so as there was only one waitress. The spicy miso ramen was pretty bland overall in terms of broth, noodles, and chashu. Nice interior. 6.5/10 Food
Such great tonkatsu!
try their Chicken Karage, but the price were a bit pricey,
Cute little ramen and tonkatsu shop! Had the curry tonkatsu udon, this was soooooo good! Really great to have on a cold, rainy day. Pair your ramen with a post-lunch afternoon nap and you ll have the perfect day!
We ordered two dishes of ramen for take out. Sad to say the noodles were very overcooked and chewy, and the chashu was incredibly dry. The miso broth had an unexpected iron-like aftertaste, and some of the extra toppings ordered were missing as well. Unfortunately it was just not worth the money we paid.
Best ramen I have tried in Vancouver
was delicious!
Excellent, food was fresh and hot. Service was excellent also, highly recommend
Very nice ramen place. I likes this deep bowl of ramen soup. You should give it a try. The pork cutlets are also very good.
Ramen was mid but the bento boxes are underrated
Delicious ramen, karaage, and gyoza - well sized menu with vegetarian options too. Beer was great. Service was exceptional. Can t say enough good things about this place!
Original ramen with chashu, karage version. Food was good! Good broth and solid karage, noodles a little bland. Otherwise we came for lunch, wasnt super busy but still waited 30-40 minutes to get served.
I ordered BBQ Salmon rice and it was great! The only reason I docked a star was because there werent many things I could eat on the menu since a lot was not halal. The ambience was nice.
Two of us dined at Tenton and found the food prepared and presented well. We began with pork gyoza. These had been dropped in oil and were lightly crisp all over. My preference is for pan-seared dumplings, partly crisp and partly soft, but the filling and soy based dipping sauce were tasty. Partner had Rosu Katsu. Portions were generous, with side dishes allowing a diner to dress the pork, rice and salad as desired. The Black Ramen was perfect as presented. It ranks with the best ramen dishes Ive enjoyed anywhere. We look forward to exploring other choices on Tentons menu during return visits.
Spicy soba was not good at all. Soba does not go with ramen type sauce. However, chicken Katsura was great. The price is set a little too high ($25 average). The waiter was very friendly.
Good rich broth, delicious karaage and Katsu, perfectly cooked noodles.
Great ramen in the town
Delicious Ramen, friendly staff.
Didnt expected but food was so great!
Very good ramen place. Nice decor. Great for family to dine in.
So so so good! Amazing broth, chashu and they even brought a complimentary dish of oshinko. Everyone was super nice and the shop was clean and festive.
Black ramen tonkatsu is amazing!
Its delicious
Enjoyed the gluten free ramen here. I was able to have the miso soup base without the egg, substituting tofu for the meat and gluten-free noodles. The meat and the egg had gluten in it. The staff was very knowledgeable and I felt safe eating my meal here. My partner was able to eat the gluten ramen and that one looked even more delicious.
We are regulars. Both dining in and delivery. Never fails to impress. The deep fries egg is an absolute must and unlike downtown Ramen there are no stupid line ups!
Delicious!
This place has one of the BEST ramen I had before. You got to try to know it is a hidden treasure ! Possibly the best broth and ramen I had
Great ramen, well priced. They even do a fab gluten free option.
Best ramen I have had so far on the north shore. My girlfriend got the veg/miso ramen and I think it is one of the nicest, complex broths I have ever had. I think next time I will get this option but add chashu, I enjoyed it more than my pork broth :) Will definitely return
Bland.
Ten outta Tenton
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, Hire Katsu, chicken karage Katsu Curry and a Ramen. Excellent service. The pork Katsu was absolutely delicious; tender, moist and well flavoured and piping hot direct from the fryer. Very good rice, perfectly cooked. The ramen was also very good, nice texture to the noodles. Id stick to the pork Katsu, the karage I had with the curry had been out of the fryer too long and gotten a bit greasy. I should mention the curry which was a little bit lighter take on Japanese curry which I really enjoyed instead of the glutinous mixture you sometimes get
No idea why this place has these ratings. The ramen was the worst I ve had in Vancouver (tasted more like Mr. Noodles), and the service is extremely slow. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the dishes look aesthetically nice, but I won t be back here.
Really slow service. Took them so long to bring us menu and then bring the food. The food was also tasteless and the noodle tasted like instant noodles.
Great food, friendly services. Social distances/protocols/vaccinations by staffs. Worth the wait. Will try ramen next time. ( pork loin thinly wrapped in cheese and deep fried crispy tonkatsu. Good!
Nice restaurant. Reasonably priced. Good service. Friendly staff. Good food. Our second visit: We came back. Ordered the katsu curry. Soooooo gooooood! Refillable rice, salad, and miso soup! As usual, the service is excellent. They are very attentive and ready to offer you refills with a smile. This is one of the restaurants that i would gladly tip more because of the food and service. Will be back again!

So glad to have this resto in the Northshore. We tried Tenton when they first opened and were still rough around the edges. Super happy we have then another try. Ramen is a nicely assembled bowl, perfect mirin egg and delicious broth. Katsu is equally well done, fluffly and crispy panko served as a large portioned set.
Had the black garlic ramen and it was so bland, the texture of the broth was watery while the pork fat was not rendered and chewy. The only thing that had flavor was the egg, aside from that, nothing much going for this. I was hoping the noodles would make up for the lack of flavor but was disappointed in that regard as well. Will not be returning ever.
Very cozy place with good service! The presentation of food is hearty. I have to say there are other katsu places where food is slightly better and cheaper, but this place s decor and vibe are pleasant. Service is attentive too.
Delicious food and excellent customer service.
Been here a couple of times, food and staff are all excellent, would come back again!
Very juicy and crunchy tonkatsu, delicious gyoza and tofu.
Love this place, great food, good service.
Amazing ramen and great service. 100% recommend
Great tasting flavourful food Courteous staff Simplistic beautiful decor
My server gave me a free drink. The food was really good. I highly recommend this place.
Good quality food and exceptional service! One of the best katsus Ive ever had. I see myself back here next week.
Hire katsu was crispy and delicious. I like the salad and the dressing. But the ramen was not that special.. the quality of noodle was just instant noodle. The taste of soup was okay, but it was artificially spicy. Ebi mayo was just ordinary. Some part of salad that was served with it was slightly rotten. But it was mixed with sauce so it was hard to tell. but I can definitely notice it in my mouth. I dont understand why the rating is so high. If I only tried Hire Katsu today, I would have given 4 stars. But the other cuisines are too bad to deserve more stars. I hope this restaurant can be more improved regarding the taste and the freshness of the ingredients.
We tried spicy miso ramen and spicy seafood yak ramen, food was very good, service and atmosphere is also nice.
Ordered a Black Ramen. It was put together beautifully. It has a lot of toppings and the overall portion is decent. However, I dont know if its that much better than the original for the extra cost, the chashu is too lean for my taste, and the taste is quite average.
This is what you get with the $9 extra meat . Not worth the money at all. Food is good but extras are all way overpriced
**ATTN** PET OWNERS, YOULL BE KICKED OUT WITH YOUR PET AT THIS RESTAURANT. No specific sign at the entrance. They will let you have a seat at the table, bring the food you ordered and then ask you to leave the restaurant with packing up all your food :) How nice! **reply** I put my BAG on the table while waiting for my food and my dog was NEVER OUT in your restaurant. Do not make things up, is it that hard to admit what you guys did?! Make a sign for pet owners if you have time to argue for nothing. **your original response** Thank you for leaving us your feedback and we re apologize about your experience, but we can not allow to put dog ON THE TABLE...
We ordered a variety of dishes on the menu. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend
The original ramen broth, and cheese tonkatsu was really good!
Ive ordered from here several times now and the food and service is consistently great. I usually get the curry chicken tonkatsu - it comes with a fresh salad and miso soup, and the portions are very generous. The service is quick and very friendly. Im not a big fan of their ramen, but have yet to find better tonkatsu elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and try this place out!
Excellent food, service and location. Will definitely be returning!
cheese katsu is delicious. so so delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and was presented very well! I also like how they have other options such as soba, ramen and donburi. Im also obsessed with the interior, the cherry blossoms made me really excited to dine in. Space is also very clean and welcoming. Service was alright. Definitely coming back if Im ever in the ambleside area again!
Best ramen in Vancouver!! The black garlic ramen is our favourite in the city. It is very well served and you can even choose chicken kaarage instead of chashu as the meat. Service is also impeccable!
The ramen here isnt what it used to be, when I first found this place food was good and tasted authentic, but now it feels average. I still do enjoy the katsus here, not so much the ramen
I love this new menu obviously!! Kimchi nabe!! Recommended!!!
A great place to have Ramen in AV. Friendly staff, and good food.
Delicious!!! Very thoughtful with their menu and the way they put them together
delicious ramen and tonkatsu!! recommend
Friendly service, yummy tonkatsu. Some funky choices like melted cheese, gooey breaded fried pleasure. Tonkatsu is fusion cuisine anyway (Portuguese 16C), so why not go for it?
Delicious vegan ramen!
Ordered cold soba noodle & hire tonkatsu combo and seafood yaki ramen. Adding chashu or karage does not come with seafood yaki ramen, so we added it with an extra charge. The food was awesome and delicious. Very crunchy and juicy tonkatsu with great sauce!
What a gloriously beautiful, clean restaurant! Love the lighting and the ambiance! Superb ramen and katsu! Superb service! Well done team! Added to our favorite places to go regularly! The cherry blossom trees at the entrance alone were enough to lure us in!
Hire Katsu was amazing! Sauce was lovely, loved the cabbage salad, and rice refill was nice. My one issue: The smaller dark brown tables legs are too close together. The support underneath is also low and touching my thigh, very cramped, two people sitting beside each other are definitely touching legs or the chair beside. Try to get a light brown coloured table, it looks like theres better leg space.
The ramen was pretty good! The portions were pretty big as well. I ordered a chashu ramen. my only complaint is that the chashu meat was cold once I got my ramen
I went in to grab a quick meal and was surprised at how delicious it was.
Cute spot in west van, ramen is yummy! Have gone a handful of times and always good eats!
Decent ramen for the shore but felt like it was missing something. Came back recently and really enjoyed the black ramen and cheese karsue.
Good ramen choices and yummy. Love the attitude of the staff.
Delicious ramen! I recommend the miso ramen which comes with 3 pieces of chashu and 1 marinated egg. The chicken karage here is highly recommended too. They also provide some sauces and toppings on the side like spicy sauce and garlic chips. Spicy sauce is great but the garlic chips seemed a bit stale and hard because they kept sticking to my teeth.
Food is good, except they forgot the egg. The Please wait to be seated sign is optional. They let rude customers push through and seat themselves ahead of those in line.
The ambiance to start is very cozy. The server was lovely af. She was very efficient and pleasant to interact with. The food was fantastic. I got the combo and the ramen and katsu. The chasu pork was soft and tender it melted in my mouth, the broth was flavourful, and the katsu crispy! Very filling and worth the money. Was just visiting but when I m in north van again, I would definitely come back.
Great place for Ramen!
Incredibly clean and cozy with soul-warming food. The miso ramen is top notch at a very reasonable price. The service is very warm and friendly. A must-go spot especially during the colder and darker season.
Ordered black ramen with garlic oil. Ramen noodle texture is good but soup is v salty. Floor is oily too. Good food to satisfy craving for the weather
The ramen, karage and katsu were delicious. I will totally come back. We took the ramen and Katsu combo, but it was a lot of food. Service was friendly.
We were stuck in North Van due to traffic and decided to try out restaurants we havent tried, and ended up here. First impression was good, the place was cozy and service was great. The ramen though, it is way too salty. I really want to give this place a higher rating as the taste was decent, but the saltiness ruined it for everyone at the table. This place will unfortunately be a hard pass for us until the salt bomb situation improves.
Wonderfully delicious bowl of vegetable ramen! Dish was spicy hot and tasty - and for those who want to turn up the heat, a small plate of hot sauce is provided as well. Good location in West Vancouver, friendly wait service and amazing food!
We have been visiting for lunch since this place opened & it never failed (except one time when we ordered take-out). If we don t want to cross the bridge & crave for ramen, this is the place to visit. Not the best ramen, but good enough!
We went there for dinner right after hiking in North Vancouver, there werent many choices left after 8:30pm so we took a look of the Google map and found this place! It was quite busy in the restaurant so we needed to wait for around 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered the Black Ramen and Hire Katsu, for 2 people. The Black Ramen was made in creamy pork broth and home made black garlic oil, however, I didnt taste much garlic flavor from that. The noodle itself was right for me, it will be better if being asked how I wanted the ramen to be like - soft? or firm? The cha siu (slices of pork) was just very thin, couldnt really taste that and it was like too plain - not even seasoned or torched the surface. The Hire Katsu was also just OK, not too bad but not so outstanding. I guess it was because of the Katsu batter. The pork filets were not thick enough so it was a bit toughen and not so juicy inside, but the refill of miso soup, salad and rice can be refilled as many as you want. So we got another free miso soup and free salad. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite cozy and simple, and the staffs were friendly. There is not many other Katsu place in West Vancouver, so this restaurant is definitely one of the special places. Next time if I go to West Van/North Van, and if I crave for katsu again, I might consider going back and try other dishes.
Very clean and cozy place. I ordered gatuedong. Food was like homemade cooking.
Hello, I just had a red ramen and a chashu rice. I feel bad to say this the meat in the ramen and chashu rice was really bad. The pork had a very bad odour. We couldn t eat the meat at all. Just had some noodles and just some rice. I wasn t planning to write this review but after having food, My stomach feels very uncomfortable. So I thought It s better to let them know so that they are able to fix it. I hope you don t get hurt from this review.
Ive eaten here more than a few times now and its absolutely delicious! The spicy fried chicken ramen (and rice dish) are both fantastic, Im a regular now.
Had the red ramen and is alright, their chashu really lowers the quality of the ramen, try to get tonkatsu over ramen if you re deciding
Dont understand the glowing reviews. Food is just so-so.
Ok
Friendly staff, quick service. Ramen was delicious. I like that the spicy miso ramen is actually a bit spicy, not like many other restaurants that I couldn t taste the spicy at all. Ramen with karage chicken is definitely better than the chasu one. This can be my go to spot for ramen in West Van.
This place blew me away!! Amazing food, great prices, and really easy to eat to-go. The meat was delicious and tender, veggies were fresh, and my ramen had the perfect amount of broth. Will be dreaming of this place until we can get back! Great customer service too.
I ordered Fish katsu, the most popular is the pork one but I dont eat much pork. My order is crispy and taste good. The restaurant offers free refill salad and miss soup, kind nice thing. Just the salad dressing is not good. There is also a bottle of hand sanitizer on each table. The owner is very considerable. Overall this is a very good restaurant.
