Chipotle Mexican Grill in West Vancouver

My daughter and I had a steak burrito . The steak didn t look nearly as good at the first time I ate there . So that quality has gone down. Everyone was good until we got to pay them there was confusion over the 2 burritos . One had hot sauce and one had Guacamole. The cashier wrote something on one . I couldn t understand her and she was visibly annoyed . So I took the pen and asked her what one was the hot one and wrote hot one it . She should chose another career . The food was average and as good as any other taco chain restaurants. There is nothing special about chipotle. Mediocre.

Earlier this evening, I went to get a Burrito at the Park Royal location. What I experienced was disturbing and probably in violation of health and safety standards. The entire seating area was filthy. There wasnt one seating area that wasnt dirty with the food from previous customers or an area of the floor that wasnt covered with litter or liquid. Ive attached some pics to show what I mean, but it doesnt convey the state of your restaurant. Incidentally, the same was the case for the prep area. When I asked the staff to clean a table, they seemed confused at first. Then one of the women finally went to the side and took a dirty cloth out of a bucket and came over and wiped one table for me without using any cleaning agent. She left every other table dirty. Then one of your male staff (he is in one of the pictures) came back in with another male colleague and they went to wash their hands. The guy literally took a few drops of water on his fingers, shook his hand and then proceeded to go to work touching food. Later, he was standing by the cash picking his teeth with his fingers. It wasnt so long ago that restaurants were bending over backwards to keep their locations sparkling clean because of COVID. Please take steps to implement frequent cleaning protocols in your restaurant. It isnt like staff dont have time. There were 5 staff standing around that could have easily taken a few minutes to wipe down the tables and chairs with a cleaning agent, pick up garbage and sweep the floors. Incidentally, the burrito was cold, so not much to say for the food either.

I eat chipotle everyday, and chipotle park royal is the worst chipotle i have ever been to!

I am so happy this restaurant is located on the North Shore! I bought some tacos and shared them with dad!

After eating here Im surprised they are still open for business. A broken glass bottle on the floor. Overpriced soggy burritos, and Im still waiting for the flavour to show up. No juice, and soda at room temperature, like 20° C room temperature. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else.

They tried to charge me extra for more veggies!! As others have mentioned, the portion size at this location is laughable. The worker gave me literally 5 pieces of veggies and said I got my portion and said it would be extra for more. I had to argue with her for more. Dont bother complaining to management or customer service because they dont care.

This was the last time I tried this location and will not try it again. The portions are way smaller than what you get in other Chipotles and not worth the money. I guess the owner is trying to maximize his profit by short selling, so buyers beware.

This Chipotle recently started to charge extra for rice! I have been coming to this location for years and it s the first time they charge extra for more rice.

NEW UPDATE!!! I tried to give this place another chance and I was not surprised one single bit. I asked for a Burrito and the lady like always before tried to rush everything and when it came to the meat (steak) put literally 5 pieces (less than half scoop) and tried to continue fooling me... I even laughed in disbelief! I told her that s not the right portion please add more meat which she eventually did. Then gave me a stare and started speaking in a different language with the other staff at the cashier. What is going on at this location at Park Royal? This is absolutely unacceptable! This franchise must be ran by a greedy owner who should be reported to Chipolte as well as consumers act rights of Canada. I don t get how many negative reviews you must get until action?? Not sure what happened to this location because it used to be more welcoming, bigger portions and better customer service.. The current owner should know, their employees give you bad service rude looks and attitude when you ask for extra portions, specially any meat items! The lady manager there has some sort of problem like she owns the store. Definitely know I m not the only one feeling the same demeaning service I received at this chipotles location. Avoid this store.

There is always something wrong with this location i have tried here every few weeks and always have had issues, I don t recommend this location, always less portions than what they have to put and food is always salty, try the chipotle in North Vancouver you will see the difference yourself. And dont try to bring any sort of complaints to the management they are always ready to fight and they dont have the ear to hear you nor gonna listen to you at all.

Im Mexican and it has nothing to do with Mexican food. But my poor rating is mainly for the taste, its not good and the worst are the tortillas they use, they dont heat them enough that they are left with a consistency of gum .

Yesterday I came to your Park Royal branch and wanted to order a veggie bowl, however the staff told me that we don t have veggie! I was surprised that how it can be possible not to have veggie as I had not chosen any item yet!!

The quantity and taste are great for the price. However, the store is a bit messy and cluttered. If its your first time going, its hard to know whats what because the ingredients arent explained well.

The staff needs to be revamped. There is such a big communication gap and they have no sense when we try to explain them the problem we re having on the app and they argue back with no logical explanation. Worst location for service - please educate them and train better before leaving them to help customers. They dont even know how their own promos on their app works.

Its good food when they have things, for the last 3 times I have been here they had some major thing that everyone needs, for example today, lettuce, they didnt have salad for salad bowls. get your stuff together chipotle, the franchisor should come down here and inspect this location, its a downhill service ever since a year ago.

Half scoop of rice and beans for a veggie bowl, when asked the staff for more beans the look they i asked for something from him. Literally 8 shreds of lettuce and on top they tried to charge for quac, and upon telling them that it comes with the veggie, we are not charging for the quac. Portion conturol is one thing, not even knowing how to properly fill up the scoop is another. Atleast train your staff properly.

While Chipotle remains a top spot for fast food that doesnt completely obliterate your insides, Im always baffled at the rationing the staff does when providing you food. A serving of double rice and double protein somehow doesnt even come to the top of the bowl they provide.

Terrible food. Decent service. My first time at a chipolte and likely my last, however I have taken note that multiple people reviewed this as the worst location they had been to, so maybe I should have read those reviews prior to ordering.

I ordered from this Chipotle location for 3 times in different hours, and every time my rice was very undercooked (crunchy), the customer service is horrible, portions small, and the guac is frozen in the core.

Disappointing experience.

As others have said, this location in particular has gone downhill in a major way. I ordered the Al Pastor chicken tacos today, and the lady put a comically small amount of chicken in them. I suspect she, and other employees at this location, are being trained to give customers less and less chicken to increase profit margins. Chipotle has enjoyed an enormous amount of success, however if franchises like this one continue down this path, that success will ultimately be short-lived!

This may the worst chipotle location I ve ever been to. They cheap out on every item in your burrito, the service is awful and the location is filthy. Skip this and save your money or go to the Lonsdale location.

Extremely disappointing. I order a quesadilla with chicken and got half a quesadilla with only cheese. The workers also messed up every side order I asked for, and pretended like they couldn t hear me. My sister also asked for extra chicken because they gave her maybe 5 small pieces, and they told her it would cost extra. Safe to say I won t be returning to this location.

They say that expectation is half the joy of an experience. As I pulled into the mall parking lot this morning and saw a chipotle, and I read a number of excellent reviews, my expectations raised sky high. I was excited. They had burritos. It was breakfast time. Breakfast burritos seemed inevitable, and ideal. For today, expectation was the only thing to fill my belly, as upon checking the time I discovered that Chipotle did not in fact upon until 10:30, 90 minutes later. But you know what? That s okay. Could chipotle have met my expectations? Maybe not. Now, though, the IDEA of chipotle meets them all; Chipotle stays untarnished in my mind, a vision of the ideal breakfast, the cheese generous, the meat rich, the burrito perfectly wrapped and served with a smile. The breakfast of reality cannot match the breakfast in the mind. With love and hopes for the future, Mark UPDATE: I went and it was very yummy :))

By far the worst chipotle I ve ever been to. Staff are horrendous and the place is a mess. Lots of blank stares coming from the employees if you ask for anything. Portions are pathetic, and they just slop it together with zero care. It s a shame, we have so few locations in Canada and this garbage owner hires the worst people to work there. Chipotle should review this location, it s a disgrace to the franchise.

Chipotle has gone to sh since management change. This location in particular is bad. Food is bad quality. They often have run out of things or items are old and dry (literally scraping the bottom of container to make your food). Staff are not friendly, border-line rude. The place is not cleaned properly. Tables are often dirty with lots of food scrap.

Please read worst reviews about your branch. Look at the staff s friendliness towards customers, their character, and their diligence in keeping the store clean. As long as the staff doesn t be changed to other good ones, the rating will always be low!

I recently visited Chipotle and was left quite disappointed with the portion sizes of my meal. As a regular customer, I have always enjoyed the generous servings that Chipotle is known for. Never go to this chipotle ever. Avoid at all costs. The staff are the most incompetent and rude people I have ever encountered. Like genuinely in shock how they got hired. Management has changed recently and it shows since this establishment used to be well run. First off my friend orders a bowl and the employee didn t know what a burrito bowl was? Like if it s your first shift chipotle serves 3 items I don t know how somehow could be so daft. The staff should have been trained properly before serving customers because it s honestly embarrassing how clueless they are. I then ask for a burrito with brown rice, they proceed to put white rice on. I said that I wanted the other one and she blankly stared at me and tried to move on with only half a spoonful of white rice on my burrito. Finally another employee says to mix the rices but then I ask for barbacoa and they said they re out. I then see an entire new batch being poured in the back and ask if I can have that. They reluctantly agreed but then only gave my friend one third of a portion of barbacoa. When my friend asked for more since it was way below a normal portion size, they blankly stared at her and said it would cost extra. I also told the staff I didn t want lettuce and they proceeded to put lettuce on and get mad when I said they messed up and angrily took it off. I also said I wanted a drink and they fully forgot and had to ask multiple times. When checking out the staff messed up both our orders and almost overcharged my friend by charging for guacamole when she didn t even order it. Overall they need to fire everyone or at least train them to know the three basic items along with proper portions sizes.

I was there last night at 21:20 to order a take-out bowl, but they served me a half-empty bowl with just a little bit of everything. They were out of lettuce and corn as well. It was unsatisfactory! Food

I got the steak burrito. Having had Chipotle before, I was expecting to go to flavour town, instead, I want to blandport.

Chipotle is usually one of my favourite spots for a quick meal on the go but every time I come to this location I regret my decision. With 8 people working in the kitchen it took them over 5 minutes to serve the single order in front of me before starting to serve the person behind me as if I wasn t standing there waiting. When I finally got to order they put a pitiful amount of food in my bowl and despite ordering double chicken, there was less chicken than a single scoop from most other locations. With this many hands on deck there s really no excuse to provide such mediocre service. Another customer went to throw out his plate after eating and it just fell through onto the floor because they hadn t even loaded the garbage.

I had a terrible experience at this Chipotle branch and highly recommend avoiding it. Ive visited Chipotle many times at various locations, but this branch consistently disappoints. During my last visit, my wife requested to have our burrito warmed in a sandwich maker, a request that other branches have always accommodated without issue since the burrito is served as a warm wrap. However, at this branch, our request was rudely declined. One employee initially agreed, but a woman intervened, saying it wasn t possible. She then looked at us dismissively and pushed the burrito towards us. Her behaviour was humiliating and left us shocked. The rude behaviour didnt stop there. The employee repeatedly asked me when was the last time I was at Chipotle, which left me confused about her intentions. Unfortunately, this wasnt an isolated incident. Each time weve visited this branch, we ve encountered the same rude and dismissive attitude, often from an employee, who seems to convey a message of take it or leave it to customers. I highly recommend visiting other Chipotle branches where the staff are more accommodating and respectful. I advise that you do not try this location if you don t want to be treated poorly.

Poor quality, small helpings dont know the difference between hot and mild salsa

Honestly chipotle is pretty consistent around all locations except this one. The containers I are always at the bottom and dry they barely replenish the toppings. For some reason they have the worst attitudes when you ask them to put the proper serving amount and they want to just stand there and socialize with their coworkers loudly and right infront of you while speaking in another language. Being a person of color myself, never in any of my work experience was I allowed to stand and socialize infront of customers, let alone in another language. The work ethic is an ABSOLUTE 0. I went in at 6pm and they said they were sold out of salad dressing for the day and they don t have anymore. After we questioned them a bunch they huffed and puffed and said we ll make more but it will take 15-20 minutes for salad dressing that s made in a blender. They re all standing around with seemingly nothing to do all while the tables are covered in food scraps and they re just loudly yelling and conversing. The past two times I went they kept turning off the music and multiple people asked them to turn it on. Overall this location is garbage now and the staff needs to be replaced.

Im young and when hanging out with my friends my card declined, i tried atleast giving them five dollars and they gave me the five dollars back and the free meal, the food was really good too.

Not a bad place, but unfortunately when I was there last it was quite untidy. I witnessed health code concerns, as well as very poor managerial communication with an underling employee. The food is quite good, but the service was questionable, therefore, this and the previously listed issues combine to receive a three star rating. Vegetarian options: With the very common use of vegetables and legumes (beans etc..) in Mexican cooking, there are plenty of dishes that can be fantastic for vegetarians! I myself am not a big meat eater, and often order meatless menu options. The flavor is still ALL there!

This location has 0 customer service or care about what they serve. The portions don t match any other chipotle and the guy putting our orders together skipped past 90% of the options. Other staff were on their break and absolutely yelling and making a scene. Couldn t hear the workers and every single person eating either left or sat outside because of the loudness of employees. Not a good look for this location. They definitely need food safe training and customer service 101.

Ordered a chicken bowl to go. Went home to eat it and the chicken was so chewy, i spat it out and saw all the chicken in my bowl was pink and had veins they served me full raw chicken at this location. i ve heard this happen to people at chipotle, so it s more common then you think. i d stay clear from this company.

It kinda ruins Chipotle s reputation, not sure if corporate cares, but if they re worried about their branding they should maybe check out this location.

The service at this establishment is embarrassing. Youd think it being in West Vancouver would help the cause; however, that isnt the case. I cant say I have been served by every staff but the last 2 times I have been to this location it seems like they dont care at all. First it appears the leaders want to do as little work as possible while having 1 worker do all the orders and serve all the customers. Then once it comes down to them putting your order together they give you as little protein as possible and if you simply ask them to put a bit more (because you know this is not enough) they question you and ask if you want to pay for double protein. I got tacos here one time and they put 2 strips of carne asada on each taco. Also the way the food is being served its like these people are doing you some sort of favor. Embarrassing, truly an experience. They should all go to a training program or visit the USA and learn what real service is like.

Every time I order food to pickup at this store in Park Royal West Vancouver it is missing components. It s unbelievable that this store makes so many mistakes. If you order pickup make sure you double check your order before you leave. It happens so often I can now guarantee that something (more than one item) will be missing.

Ive been to many Chipotles in US and Canada but this one has a special customer service. Feels like they are short on staff. Also when I asked to get triple portion of rice and beans, I got warned about being charged extra because the server will have a hard time closing the lid but Ive been asking for this portions for about 7 years and I never heard that before. Not enough, I feel like they dont give the full scoop of anything but the meat.

I got bullied by a staff member yesterday and left the establishment in tears before Id even ordered. Im still in shock - theres customer service, then theres being a decent human being. Both were entirely absent. Suffice to say I wont ever be returning.

I don t want to be an ahole and make a scene in the restaurant, so I m addressing this here. I have been to this location countless times and am never satisfied with the service. The food is great, but servers never give me a large serving portion when I order in person (they give me normal portions when I order online). I genuinely hate eating at this specific location because I am always leaving still hungry. I don t know if it s because I m a physically smaller female, and so they think it s appropriate to serve me smaller portions? Or if it s because I don t lean on the glass rudely (which maybe I should start doing at this point)?? But I always watch bigger guys get served with portions that pile to the brim, and then when I go up, I get served hardly half their portion. Honestly, it s really disappointing because we all pay the same money. We should all be getting the same portion regardless of how much the server thinks that I can eat. This needs to be addressed and fixed. Thank you.

Store says they close at 10:30pm online but I went in at 10pm only for them to tell me they were closed and already packed everything away. Staff spoke a little rude and short to me as well. Not sure if they close at 10:30 or 10 but should be updated online

Portion size has been dramatically reduced. The sitting area was dirty and customer service was lacking.

We order a bowl from this place and they tried to charge us for medium and hot salsa on the side that was not on the bowl. Chipotle doesn t charge for extra side even if you have it included in your bowl. Staff are clueless about the chipotle policy.

I come here alot and usually the food quality is a roll of a dice. Sometimes you get good food but most of the time something is horribly wrong. Mostly people there are slow or there only one person to attend many customers or the server does not put enough food, and most of the time they just don t have the ingredient you want. The managers should really start paying attention to the quality and consistency of their service, because I m tired of hoping that the service will be good when i walk in. Today was a combination of most these problems which pushed me to write this review.

Wanted to do a team lunch for my team today. So i started an order through their website. When it got to the checkout their site would not verify my credit cards (both have lots of room on them). I then decide to call in............... The Lonsdale Location (in North Vancouver) did not even pick up. So i called the Park Royal location were they would not take my pick up order and directed me to their website...... I explained my issues with the website and asked if i could place an order over the phone and pay when i picked it up. And was told no........ I apparently can only order this food ahead of time online?!?!?!?!?!?! I get we are in the digital age but to not have this option was infuriating considering the initial problems placing the order through their site.

The worst chipotle I have ever been to! The careless employees pay little or attention to you order! The are often chit chatting amongst each other rather than taking your order. They have given me tacos and burritos wrapped so poorly, we has to re do them at home with our own tortillas! The one person who made our food, tossed the burrito across the table to the register! Food has become increasingly more salty ! It a shame because we have been chipotle costumers since their first days in California!

Portion sizes at this location are a joke. Employees give half servings of meat and shake off the scoop, as if each piece is coming out of their paycheck. If you have a choice, visit the Lonsdale location... much friendlier service and bigger portion sizes.

Every time we order and pick up they get barely any orders right, this time was especially bad because the completely switched our order with someone else s. Not good.

Have been frequenting this location quite a bit recently. Food quality is good and consistent, even at the end of the evening. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Food is pretty good, though there are often issues with the guacamole being partially frozen. Their true issue is with customer service, a handful of employees are kind and customer service oriented but the majority are rude, super grumpy, and just generally miserable. I dont know if its an issue with being short staffed or an issue with staff but its not enjoyable to receive as a customer.

Worst Chipotle location ever. The servers shakes off the meat in the spoon until it is half full. I asked for both the mild and medium sauce and they told me I could only pick one. ( I was so shocked by this as it never happened to me in other locations even it I wanted to try all 3 sauces) The overall portion in the end was also 20% smaller then other locations.

The food is ok but the customer service was horrible. We ordered 2 burritos and 1 bowl to go. 1 of the burritos was badly wrapped, the person serving was rude and rough/throwing the food. I used to come often, not anymore after this.

Okay staff, regular chipotle food, busy environment.

The portion servings are so small. It s half size servings. Literally rationing the portions right in front of you. Pretty much have to pay for extra or you ll get a kids size meal. This is clearly the staff being told to ration the servings. And for the reason why they rush even though there is no line up is to deflect you from seeing them ration the servings. So obviously this comes down to a management issue not a chipotle issue.. who ever owns this location is cheap.

The portion sizes keep getting smaller, they give you a half portion of meat and they seem like theyre always in a rush to finish your order, even when its quiet. Used to be consistently a great location, gone downhill this year

Very rude staff(no all them of course), don t ask for cutlery as they simply throw it at you. If you don t like your job, you should not vent it on your customers!

Worst Chipotle there is. Customer service is as bad as it gets, and serving size is extremely small especially with meat.

Came here on my lunch break. Place was a so messy it was a health hazard. I was in a hurry because it was my lunch break and the line up was huge. One of the employees came around the counter and cut in line, placed an order then cut to the till to pay. Rude service. Will never be back.

Second time charge me the thing I didn t even add to my order. Bad service:(

Pretty disappointed with my experience. I ordered a burrito and the meat was completely cold. $15 for a cold burrito after a day at work is pretty sad :( I emailed customer support and they offered a BOGO reward, which I did not want. Why would I spend more money and get disappointed again? They said they couldn t offer any more compensation than this so giving me the chance to spend more money at your store that gave me a sub par meal is compensation now? Ridiculous. Chipotle is a billion dollar company and they can t even do a refund for a $15 burrito. It means nothing to them but it would mean a whole lot to me. Chipotle sucks, man.

Order pickup was for 4:20 and it wasnt ready even when I arrived later then my timeframe and was 20 min wait. Ordered and burrito, bowl, chips/queso. Chips were a mix of stale and some good ones so far. Burrito was decent but more worried about witnessing then put stuff on burritos with bare hands like lettuce.

TERRIBLE. Dont go! Half portions. Girl dropped half the meat. Told her she dropped it. She ignored me. I said again. She rolled her eyes. Picked up and gave me little piece. Cold tasteless. They had no salsa. Spoke to manager. Said they cant make more.. I pointed out 15 customers behind me and I will give 1 star - he shrugged. I guess this happens every day. Ate. 5min later, still hungry. We went to Popeyes next door.

literally the worst customer service at this location! the girls who work there are TERRIBLE at their jobs! they close 25-35 minutes early and when you go inside they have NOTHING LEFT! THE ABSOLUTE WORST CHIPOTLE Food

The food was awesome! Staff were fantastic.

Ordered 4 bowls and they gave the smallest portion size I have ever received from Chipotle. I asked for more protein and they said it will be an extra charge. Staff here need to be trained to understand the correct portion sizes.

I find it rude that all 4 employees were speaking in there native tongue while serving me at the front bar. Were trying to be a more inclusive as a society and this is a detractor especially in their loud tone in voice while dining in the restaurant. The food was good though.

I know this place is very busy, but I think the staff could definitely put in some more effort on the presentation and cleanliness. Also our guacamole in the burrito was close to frozen which kind of ruined it for my girlfriend. But the taste of food was great aside from this and we do enjoy coming here usually

We love Chipotle but NOT this location! . Definitely not at the standards of the other Chipotles. Staff do not care, do not listen, complain about customers to their colleagues, run out of food, serve smaller portions. I can go on and on. I was so frustrated yesterday- once more- and would have walked out if my daughter was ok to eat anything else. We asked for brown rice which was running low so server decided to create 2 portions out of remaining rice (half of what we usually get), added the wrong meat then scraped it away, and finally said we had to wait for the fajita veggies as they were working on it. After waiting for a while she added half raw pieces of onions and 2 pieces of peppers on our order. I was so frustrated but did not want to create a scene so just had to pay $30 for lousy 2 bowls and walk away. Management has to to something about this location.ASAP. I will drive to Lonsdale location next time or will get a fried chicken from their next door to keep my sanity.

The portion sizes for every single ingredient including the salsa were so so small. Incredibly disappointing as I used to frequent this location since they opened for three years. I got a maximum of half a spoonful for each ingredient- beware of this when you visit this place. I have already reported it to Chipotle contact support.

The best new steak bowl this weekend! Brown rice, black beans and hot sauce was a great choice. Dietary restrictions: I was able to eat this steak carnitas bowl as it seemed to be GF friendly

My go-to Chipotle location! Cant complain about this place at all, they work quickly and Im always in and out the door within a few minutes when getting takeout.

Staff just making jokes with each other while me and other customers are standing in line waiting to get their attention to serve us. Also I hope they can put mask on when they serve the food while talking

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR ALLERGIES! If you order online they do not care or check what they give you. They mislabelled every order we put in - gave vegans steak and chicken, gave people with dairy allergies cheese and sour cream. They made people sick. It was awful. Don t order from here. wish I could give 0 stars. Oh! They also didn t give us any drinks we ordered and paid for so I guess we donated money to this awful location.

Good food fast service...but needed to maintain the customer area better...no napkins..all fruit fountain drink empty. Hard to find a cleanish table..All Tables needed to be wiped down and napkins on the floor.
