This place used to be amazing, now it’s over priced and half the quality it use to be. Such a shame.
Best pizza ever, high quality, fresh and delicious 😋 highly recommended
What are all the negative reviews about? Vancouver sucks for pizza and this one of my favourites, along with Viva Sue. It’s AWESOME!!! Best Pizza on the north shore.
Sorrento Pizza is the undisputed best pizza on the north shore! The uninformed people giving 1 out of 5 stars don’t know what a real Italian pizza is all about. This place is worth the visit. Best pizza around!!
Cardboard crust. Ordered extra cheese and the quantity did not reflect that, in fact there was very little at all. Other toppings marginal as well. An equivalent to a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Phone manners need improvement, very abrupt. Disappointing at best.
The owner is very, very rude! If you ask him any questions, his reply is "it's my pizza shop and that's how I do it" or "I'm making the pizza" as they say it's his way or the highway lol no idea how this guy is still in buisness. Oh well, good luck to him! Would not recommend. Pizza quality is poor 2/10. Your better off buying a Safeway pizza and putting in the oven yourself.
I recently ordered from this take-out pizza place for a family gathering, and unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. First, there seems to be some confusion among reviewers. This establishment is not to be mistaken for 'Casa Mia,' a lovely family-run restaurant known for its dine-in service and wine offerings. In contrast, this is a take-out only venue, you would never eat in. During the ordering process, I encountered rudeness and unprofessionalism from the owner. When I needed to change the size of a pizza, the response was belittling and condescending, which was more than distressing, especially since it was my birthday. Despite this, I proceeded with the order, prioritizing the needs of my family. Upon arrival to pick up our order, my husband was initially ignored by the staff, adding to the negative experience. As for the food, the pizzas were horrible. They lacked flavor and had a cardboard-like texture, making them terrible value for the price of $108.00. Frankly, even frozen pizzas would have been a better option. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment. The service was unwelcoming, and the quality of the pizza was subpar. It's unfortunate, as I had hoped to support a local business, but this experience was disheartening." I would not categorize this as a family business. It is just one rude guy who runs a bad takeout pizza joint.
Ordered lasagna and a small pizza. Spent way more than the quality deserves, and the pizza wins for worst pizza I've ever had. I'd rather have a frozen store bought pizza. Crust looked and tasted like cardboard or came pre-made. Bland flavour. Lasagne was edible, but quality of ingredients go a long way. I was excited to try a small family run shop, usually you get a hidden gem. Not the case here.
One of the best in BC
Great pasts! Try cannelloni Spinach or lasagna! Tasty pizza! Try Meat lovers or pesto Vegetarian options: Very tasty
Best pizza in town
Best pizza around Dunderave / Ambleside. The guy who runs it is a great and funny guy!
Horrible pizza! Bought the meat eaters and what a waste of money very little meat and taste was awful
Warning!!!Do not come to this place!!!! The restaurant employee is very rude and arrogant! Food and service are garbage, no wonder there is no business! Go somewhere else and save your money. Hope they close this store soon. 0/5
Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options like pesto pizza and Greek special! Recommended dishes
The pizza s are awesome! Very tasty and delicious
Best pizza chiken pesto & the owner is actually really friendly he also gave me free drink!
I had a disappointing dining experience at due to the owners rude and disrespectful behavior. The food quality was subpar, and the owners dismissive attitude towards feedback added to my frustration. I would caution others to reconsider dining at this establishment.
Ive eaten the most delicious pizza and pasta in this place.
okay pizza but way too expensive for the quantity.
Love this place! Healthy pizza amazing service and quality!
Amazing pizza They are super professional
Exquisite
Like many other reviews have pointed out, the pizzas are way over priced for what it is. We paid over $70 for 2 medium pizza that had barely any toppings. Very disappointing. It tasted alright but again, not worth the price. In the same category as freshslice pizza in my opinion.
Have to laugh at the expensive comments. Of course it costs MONEY !! Its great pizza. Stick to corporate brands if you want cheap.
Great pizza best on the Northshore!! Family owned and operated!! Kid-friendliness: Family first Wheelchair accessibility: Front door has wheel chair with room to dine-in
Fantastic chicken pesto pizza in a good atmosphere. Thank you
After a hike up Hollyburn peak we stopped in to Sorentos for a quick bite. So happy we did. Delicious pizza, great wine , lovely authentic service.
Best pesto + chicken pizza, also love their mushroom varieties, la reine and portabellini! Hands down the best artisanal pizza in the North Shore.
Delicious thin pizza with fantastic pesto sauce, I highly recommend it.
No crust..expensice...wow..
Its awesome pizzas and nice people.
I order the Maialona pizza and its fantastic every time!!
Very friendly people. The thin crust bbq chicken and the Mediterranean salad are delicious.
I dont like it at all
Pizza was excellent with fresh ingredients.
This restaurant is family run and it shows. We came in at the end of the night with the restaurant being near closing, though he couldnt allow us to eat-in the owner did allow us to order carryout. While we waited he regaled us with stories of the history of the restaurant and area. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crust option available in medium size.
had a great experience with Afshin at this location. Not only did he make a delicious pizza, he was also helpful when I called to ask a question about the delivery.
What a waste of $$ Never again.
Last weekend ordered a lrge #25 pizza ( second time trial) with Italian sausage topping......OVER PRICED, SKIMPY SPLIT SAUSAGE SLIVER TOPPINGS, BLAND FLAVOR, TWICE THE PRICE of other local pizzerieas Owner retorts been here for 25 years (Thats his problem) hes stuck in yesteryears thinking while peoples taste have become sophisticated and price conscious ...suggest to go to other pizza shops & ask for double the toppings with thin crust and save #10.
Some great pizza, and funny and friendly owners!!
Pretty ordinary, and over priced.
Amazing pizza and pasta the best
This is Fantastic pizza , pasta , salad, spot it s very hard to find these gems , the owner is a very very passionate man and does an awesome job of quality and friendly service, love this place thank you Afshin
Tasted so good I ate the whole thing. Just moved to area and wanted something different than franchise pizza places. Very good pizza and awesome salads.
Best pizza on the North Shore.
Ordered an Italian Meat Lovers pizza and received a cheese pizza with meat scraps lightly dusted on.
Some of the best pizza Ive had in the area. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
best Pizza in the west van highly recommend
The best. Please open in Toronto
BEST pizza in West Van..
Pizzas are really expensive for the size and while they taste fine, they arent worth it. Pastas are fine but lack flavor.
Very delicious pizza with many different flavors and tastes, I recommend this place to everyone who loves pizza.
Best pizza ever!
Everything is made from scratch. Really truly yummy pizza and add the Mediterranean salad! Awesome combo!
We love the Pomodoro and the Holy Moly. It s worth the extra distance - we live in North Van - and the price is about the same as the big chain pizza brands. It s a win!
Ordinary taste, too expensive without any reason!
Easily the best pizza I ve had period. It s more expensive than pizza hut of course but it s so worth the price. Try chicken pesto in particular
Try the creamy pesto, it s delicious!!
Sorrento s pizza is the best on the North Shore! With the thin crust, there is a wonderful balance between crust and toppings.
The food was phenomenal!! Extremely delicious I ate there almost 2 years ago and I never forgot how good it was!! And the service was amazing. I 100% recommend it.
High price and not a lot of food.
Best pizza on the north shore!!!
It was very good I will go back very soon
Friendly service and great tasting pizza.
Afshin makes amazing pizzas! It is the only take-out pizza I will eat now. I highly recommend the holy moly - expensive but singular and satisfying in a way that most pizzas are not. The pomodoro with tomato and garlic is another favourite staple. A rare find: both the crusts on his pizzas as well as the toppings are lovely. Magical! This is our go-to pizzeria.
Best chicken pesto
If youre looking for cheap go to fresh slice. If youre looking for good pizza go here. A bit expensive but good food usually is.
The best thin crust pizza around, high quality meats and cheeses generously piled up on the best pizza on the north shore
Unique pizza style that you cant find anywhere else. The cheese is to die for. But skip the salads, not the best.
Well travelled and this is hands down the best pizza place on the planet
Owner is the individual who took my order. Very unfriendly. Needs to soften his tone and cut the attitude
my friend who shall not be named was on the royal Caribbean and told me that the cheese on your pizza tastes like chalk and the pizza is overall GARBSGE
Great Prices, Got Delivery and It Only Took About Half An Hour (15 min drive), the price was good for the quality
Loved the pizza and very nice salad dressing on the Caesar salad
Awful. For 55 dollars, I ordered the pesto pasta which was basically just pasta drenched in olive oil I couldnt taste any pesto what so ever. The pizza was completely undercooked, the dough was mush and not cooked at all. It was disgusting, will never buy from here again. So disappointing.
I just bought a delivery pizza. Firstly theres the $25 minimum order which is nowhere to be found on the website. So I was ok with that but really it should be listed. Secondly he said it would take an hour, my pizza was delivered after an hour and a half. When I called at about the 1hr 20 mark he said - hes not there? I sent him over half an hour ago. And he said he would call the driver then call me back. The pizza arrived luke warm at best. When I called back the same guy who I assumed was the owner to tell him the pizza was cold - he said theres no way it can be cold it goes straight from the over to you in 20 minutes. Even though hed just said he sent the driver over half an hour ago. He gave me attitude so I hung up. He was disrespectful and unhelpful. I didnt ask for anything because the pizza was cold and it took so long I just wanted acknowledgement of that but instead go treated like I was lying. Not good! And the pizza was so-so because I had to reheat it.
The best pizza in Vancouver . Best quality but a bit expensive .
This was the worst experience Ive had in years with a pizza place - the pizza was soggy and dull it lacked stability and fell apart in the box and felt like it was dipped in water and the price was quite steep for such garbage so I threw it out on the lawn for the birds and ordered myself a dominos ps the owner lacks some serious customer service skills and talk about the dough was burnt too
Dont order here if youre looking for a the customer s always right/big chain/neo-corporate experience. This is one of the few restaurants that still provides good food without acting like a concierge on crack just to maintain a consumer base. Theyll get you food, really good food, and treat you genuinely, which means sometimes theyre not going to pepper the conversation with fake tones of pleasure even when theyre annoyed. Youll get your food, youll love your food, but--as someone whos worked in the service industry--itll be refreshing to have someone who doesnt act super happy just to be making you a pizza.
We didnt feel the crust was thin enough the meet was poor quality ...To rich and pricey..
