We are a new and exciting Japanese restaurant concept specializing in Ramen, Temaki (Hand Roll Sushi), Gyoza and other unique dishes.
Ramen was decent. There were more choices for appetizers than ramen. Service was ok, felt rushed. The sign up bonus temaki was delicious though!
I got the chicken curry and my partner got the creamy chicken ramen. We also got the spicy wontons to share. All of it was very delicious and good quality. The service was great and the food came quickly.
Zubu Ramen is my go-to spot when I’m craving comfort in a bowl. Their creamy chicken ramen is absolutely fantastic—rich, flavorful, and so tender. It’s that perfect blend of savory and creamy that hits the spot every time. I also love that they offer two sizes for their ramen, which is so convenient. Sometimes, a small bowl is all you need! Plus, their kids’ meal is a lifesaver—convenient, fun, and perfect for little ones. Zubu truly understands how to make a meal enjoyable for everyone. Highly recommend!
I recently visited Zubu at Park Royal and had a pleasant experience. The ramen was fantastic, with rich and flavorful broth options that catered to different tastes. I particularly enjoyed the Tonkotsu Shiro and the Spicy Vegan Ramen. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and generous. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and modern, making it a great spot for a casual meal. However, the service was just okay. While the staff were friendly, they seemed a bit overwhelmed, which led to some delays in taking orders and bringing out the food. Overall, Zubu at Park Royal is a solid choice for ramen lovers. The food quality is excellent, and with a bit of improvement in service efficiency, it could easily become a top dining destination in West Vancouver. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu!
My kids loves this restaurant, especially creamy chicken Ramen. However beside great foods, the best part is the fast and excellent service you receive here. It only takes less than 5 minutes to sit you in and 5-10 more minutes to prepare and bring your food. Tonight there was a lineup and at least 3-4 parties waiting outside. So go, highly recommended.
The staff are nice. The ambiance and place is family friendly. Foods are on a higher price range. The food is really great! Ramen tastes delicious! We loved it! The kids meal also has the mochi for dessert. There is a lot of parking spaces as it is located in Park Royal Mall.
Let me tell you, this is the best ramen shop on the North Shore in Vancouver. The food was fantastic—tasty, abundant, and more choices on the menu if ramen isn’t your thing. We went specifically for ramen because, surprise, it got cold outside on Father’s Day. Now, here's the kicker: it was 12°C outside, and inside, the air conditioning was blasting like we were in a meat locker. We moved tables, but those vents followed us like bad karma. I was sitting with my coat on! The food? Amazing. The place wasn't too busy, so service was prompt. But seriously, the server's perfume could have knocked out a horse. When will they learn? Parking was easy, so overall, it was a positive experience with a few kinks that could be fixed.
Really worthy to try Japanese restaurant. After skiing. We chose this location for fast dinner. Kids order noodles, they love it. I order salad which tastes fresh. We also order dessert . Will recommend to friends.
Food is consistently good, with the tonkatsu ramen being my baseline for any ramen restaurant. Servers are friendly but I have had orders mixed up or take out wrong. I have had some delays in getting food which seemed longer than reasonably expected which is a problem prior to a set movie time. Id come back but only when not in a rush.
Terrible!!!! Portions were really small for the price and the food tasted like it was re-heated, not fresh, and questionable meat. Would never order from here again.
stopped by after shopping and ordered the gyoza and tonkotsu ramen. the seating was good and we were seated right away, and the service was perfect amount of care and attention without being overbearing. the food was SO good. gyoza had so much flavour and also very juicy, but the ramen was unexpectedly really good. the noodles had great texture, the soft boiled egg was cooked perfectly, and the broth was rich and tasty. would 100% come back again and recommend to my friends. hidden gem
I met friends here for lunch, had the veggie soup lunch special and it was so good, perfect for a fall day. Restaurant was clean, well laid out and cozy, service was excellent. Recommend if you need a break from shopping, or need a place to meet before a movie.
Zubu is so yummy me and my friend always go there and I recommend the kids pack. The worker with the glasses is my favourite
DELICIOUS FOOD. Everything Ive eaten here has never disappointed, super tasty and fresh. Service tends to be a little slow, but it always looks like the servers are constantly keeping the restaurant clean for us.
We love coming here for dine in and take out, both are always delicious. We just find the portion sizes can be inconsistent! But it always very tasty and the server Genisis is always great!
Ive only gone for the convenience of the location: the ramen noodles have been repeatedly undercooked in the past, but the chicken karaage was decent had a straightforward salty flavour and a good crispy batter.
Compared to places in downtown it s decent however it s one of the better options in west van
I tried the chicken Karaage and ramen here, and I was especially impressed with the spicy vegan ramen. The spice level is customizable, but for me, it had just the right amount of heat and a rich, flavorful broth. I was very satisfied! The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service, which made the experience even better. I love them so much! The restaurant itself has a stylish and welcoming atmosphere, and the prices are quite reasonable, making it a great spot to stop by. If you re in the mood for Japanese food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You ll get to enjoy the authentic flavors of Japanese cuisine!!!!
This place is a major letdown. The broth was too salty, completely masking any depth of flavor. The noodles were clumped together. No service aside from being some water. At $20 a bowl, this place is absolutely not worth it. Skip this one!
The best ramen! And a super rece-bowl for my friend! Can highly recommend!
We had terrible service here and the food was subpar: Service - half empty restaurant but we didn t get seated for ages and no apologies keeping us waiting. No substitutions whatsoever which is crazy in the Vancouver food industry because of how many allergies there are. If you can t eat something as part of the toppings you can t switch for anything or get a little extra of something else. Took forever for them to come to our table to ask us for our order. Then they forgot to bring our drinks for the whole meal. And then when we asked for our bill they took forever again. Food - the broth was bland and the chashu slices were so thin they were like sandwich meat. The noodles didn t feel fresh to me either. Portions were so small for the price and for so few toppings. Soooo disappointing.
i m autistic and i ve been here over 15 times, always great and music is calm and nice. today i went with my friends and there were really loud not calm music playing to the point i can t hear my friends speaking sitting next to me and have to be super loud and i was very overstimulated and kindly asked the staff to turn the music down just a little bit and they said they will ask their manager, and then said no.
Great food and service.
I am not sure I understand the current four star rating that this place has. The Ramen here is pretty good. Plus it s got a lot of options if you re not into Ramen. they have a kids menu, which is super convenient as well. The atmosphere here is quite well put together and the staff is friendly accommodating and nice. I called ahead which was supposed to be a busy Saturday evening, but they accommodated me and my two kids would definitely visit here again.
Super poor packaging
Having a great time here! Cozy vibes and friendly staffs. <3
love the ramen flight!
service is really horrible, they never answer their phone which has prevented me from placing many orders.
First time at ZUBU Ramen - Park Royal location. I had the Lunch Special and the food was okay but not great. The pork I find is sliced too thinly, so youre eating mostly noodles & soup. The service was not satisfactory as I had to request to place an order 3 times. Also a couple of people who came in after me got their meals before mine. The bar seating was uncomfortable and the space is cramped. The atmosphere is not inviting and dark. Cant give my experience a passing rating.
It is great for what it is, kid friendly, the staff is really trying to do the best, the food is good, love the hand rolls and curry bowls, kids love it Kid-friendliness: Painting activity, very good kids meal served in a plane looking plate, good high chairs and boosters
My son and I stopped and and loved the Ebi Mayo and our Ramen choices. Will definitely be back
Ramen so delicious
Disappointed. I ve been to the location in downtown and it never made me sick like this one in Park Royal.
Out go-to for ramen and crispy chicken on the North Shore. Food and service are great every time.
I decided to try this place out while walking past it. I ordered the chicken ramen as a mini thinking it would be like other ramen shops where the smallest size is pretty decent I thought this because it was $12 for the mini and that s how much I pay for a big bowl of ramen downtown. To my surprise, (and maybe it shouldn t have been so surprising), it was comical how small it was. I wouldn t think it would even be enough for a child. It was very oily and I didn t enjoy the taste. The noodles weren t that great. The only good thing was the $5 wine and beer deal. I will not visit this place again. There are much better places to get a lot of yummy ramen for that price. Other things on the menu were overpriced too.
Zubu is my go to place for good ramen on the North Shore. Kid-friendliness: They do have a kids menu. Food : 5/5 |
Just dined on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy at all and we got seated on the back corner seat where no one check on us at all. When we tried to ask for help putting our hands up and standing up no one bothered to look. They never refilled our water. We saw a server leaving the restaurant and when she was back the two servers were talking. The other person came way later and checked but like whats the point we were done eating anyways. The whole dining experience was bad. Food was decent but service was bad. Wont be coming again.
Servers were super lovely and the ramen is awesome! I love this place
We went to Zubu at Park Royal back when they were offering a free play of Gachapon, for a chance to win a prize. Grandma and I wanted to eat light that day so we just ordered some light eats while my daughter had the kids meal with Chicken Ramen so she could play Gachapon afterwards! Featured here: Brussel Sprouts Tempura Crispy Chicken Avocado Temaki Kids Meal Aburi Cheesecake We were served this round white thing that we werent sure what to make of at first. It kind of looked as though it was some kind of pill but I couldnt think of any reason why the restaurant would be serving pills to us. It turned out that they were hand towels! You place them in water and they grow into wet towels that you can use to clean your hands before eating your food! So cool! Loved the Brussel Sprouts Tempura. Last time I ordered this dish at a Zubu restaurant, it was lacking flavor but this time they got it right and I was able to taste the truffle oil in it. My Avocado Temaki was good also very good. Id always been curious about the Aburi Cheesecake. Since we had some very light eats for our dinner, we had room in our tummies to share a slice of Aburi Cheesecake for dinner. They sprinkled it with sugar and torched it until the sugar became hard like the top of a Creme Brulee. Hmmm...kinda made me think that Creme Brulee Cheesecake would be a more appropriate name for the dessert but I suppose the word Aburi sounds more Japanese. Anyways, it was delicious and thats what really mattered!
The best Ramen that Ive ever try. Genesis give us the best recommendation about what is the best to order . He really accommodate us and hes so friendly. Well be back for sure.
visited zubu park royal. Great food! Server was nice too. I think his name is genesis. Will come back.
Went to zubu and they have their bone marrow ramen. Our server Genesis, funny dude recommended the ramen and it was bomb.
This place is amazing!! I ordered spicy ramen and chicken karaage, broth was rich and flavourful. Our server genesis was very helpful on recommending food that we would enjoy and did not disappoint. very nice and helpful guy! definitely would come back here!
Very arrogant customer service!! We ordered the vegan ramen buy 1 get one free through Uber and we also confirmed them by the calling the restaurant. Still the order we received was only one ramen instead of two as the deal suggested. When called the restaurant the gentleman who I tried to talk to started telling me stories as to how I needed to order twice the same deal in order to receive what was mentioned. When asked that I want to address this issue with the manager he said I am not entitled to give out names. Very bad service and very bad attitude of doing business. When you run a promotion make sure to honour it and not run it as a gimmick. PS (I was not rude or mad at this conversation but just frustrated as the person would just not listen and honour)
Second time but will not come back. Service is so bad and the waiter is cold. No water was offered until we asked. We waited to order and other guests coming later than us were even served earlier. Their bad service doesn t deserve a tip.
What a weird experience today. We ve been talking about this place for so long and wanting to go here. Was so disappointed today when we sat down. We had no waters brought to us and when it was time to order, we asked if we could sub the chicken chashu for pork which turned into a whole ordeal where the server nor the staff could do it. Ok that s fine whatever. Then we ask for add ons and we asked about 3 people and they said it wasn t even on the menue anymore. They brought us the iPad to look through which didn t even have the prices for add ons . Strange. Then, after giving our order and looking at the order iPad to make sure all was good, they still brought us the wrong ramen. When the ramen arrived, I asked the first guy if it was chicken broth as we asked for pork specifically ( and we KNOW what pork broth looks like) he said yes it was. I took a sip and it was clearly NOT pork. So i asked another server and he said it was chicken. It was all horrible service to begin with and even the egg looked weird and I m a huge egg ramen fan. We just asked for the bill from our sofa and two appies and left but they should ve docked it anyways as that was a complete waste of time Very disappointing. There s like two ramen places in North van and the prices that this one is, is ridiculous when you don t even have knowledgeable staff. I Will continue to go downtown for ramen in the future. It was as if the servers just got hired and had no idea what was going on although this place has been up for a while now
I had the extra spicy ramen very nice, but Portion is small for the price. I also enjoyed the roll sushi and chicken wontons. They are nice, too. I have, at one time or another, have tried everything on the menu food is good service is lacking they dont know how to ask how my meal is going and bring me basic service with out and attitude train your new staff properly thanks. Parking: This restaurant is near parkroyal Mall, can street park or park in the mall and walk a small distance
I totally suggest you come here. Food is amazing
Good, option reasonable prices. Kid friendly
Sushi is not recommended at this place.
nothing but ZUBU (26.75) / tonkatsu ramen (18.15) / creamy chicken ramen (18.15)
Wow, this place is so good and the ramen taste amazing!!! The truffle vegan wonton recommended by our server Jenesis? Genesis? Sorry i forgot his name was really amazing! Really caring and nice staff. Loved it!! Would definitely come back!
Food here was great! The atmosphere of this restaurant was super nice as well. We came in when it wasn t too busy and both the server and the host were very helpful and nice. I think one of the staff name was Genesis. He was very pleasant to speak with!
I ate here with my friend and everything is great the taste, ambiance and staffs. We were helped by Genesis ( yes I remember the name ) thank you for being helpful and cheerful!
Love ZUBU, they always fresh ingredients and have fantastic vegan options. Will go back again & again
The manager? Or server blamed me for me getting served a wrong drink
Probably would say this is the worst ramen we have ever had. Im not sure if its because we ordered it in, but the meat looked like it was cut on a deli slicer. There wasnt enough broth, and it wasnt very flavorful. Recommend going elsewhere.
Came in the afternoon during the happy hour, it was nice and quiet, only two other tables were seated. We got the Truffle Winton Ramen substituting the noodles for gluten-free and also got the Poke Bowl. Both were delicious and filling, service was good considering how empty it was, we would come back. The booths could use a cushion on their benches, though.
Ive been going here a lot, and they have always had amazing ramen, great fast friendly service, and a clean welcoming restaurant. For February, they have the fried chicken ramen! It was delicious! You gotta try it out! Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level so its easily accessible.
I recently visited ZUBU Ramen Park Royal in West Vancouver, and I have to say, it was a disappointing experience. The ramen tasted like a sad, diluted version of what it used to be. Its as if they decided to cut corners by cutting down on the soup, leaving me with a bowl of bland disappointment. Save your money and go elsewhere for a more satisfying ramen experience. Not only did ZUBU Ramen Park Royal in West Vancouver skimp on the soup in their ramen, but what little soup they did provide quickly turned into a thick, unappetizing gravy within minutes. For the exorbitant price they charge, its simply not worth the disappointment. Save yourself the money and the disappointment and opt for a more satisfying dining experience elsewhere.
Absolutely, love this place! So does my daughter. We went there for her birthday because ramen is her favourite food and we had a table for 12 and they were so accommodating and helpful. Food was, as usual, fantastic.
This place is so consistent and the spicy vegan ramen always hits the spot
We walked in at 8:15pm not expecting to be able to eat but the staff were welcoming and sat us quickly. We ordered the tasting platter shown in the photo which was an excellent mixture of well matched snack sized portions, and a bowl of Tonkatsu Kuro ramen. The ramen stock was rich for us unlike what others have complained about, and the texture of the ramen was very good indeed. Overall a great find just steps away from our place. Definitely will come back for more
The staff is very friendly and attentive. Lots of sitting and fast service
The food is amazing, the staff are very helpful with suggestions. Its a great place to have a warm meal with friends
Best Ramen on the shore! If you know better without crossing the bridge please tell me where.
In the beginning this place was great, service was very good, food servings were great. As of resently I and my company have not felt welcome management ignored us, waiters expected us to use a QR code that did not work, the whole atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. You used to have a choice between fatty pork and lean, now all you get are these deli slices of meat. I liked this place but I fear that myself and my company will not be returning to this establishment.
Zubu is one one of my favourite. Everything is delicious. Parking: Parking is always available in this area. Food : 5/5 |
This place is good, but the parking is not convenient, the parking spots are quite far away from the restaurant. I almost get lost after I parked the car in the parking lot. The menu not have many to choose, only in couple pages. They have the choices of wagyu, but it is a bit pricey. Thought they have the dessert, but only for the Christmas time. The ramen portion is a bit in smaller portion, and after done eating, I still feel hungry. Because the additional noodles need to add extra fees, I did not ask for, and just left in hungry stomach Not bad to try it out
Great food nice atmosphere. Our beef wirh Zubu is no matter how many times you ask for cutlery and remind them and confirm its in there you get to the beach and its not in there. This has happened four times now so we open the bag before we leave to confirm.
The food was amazing. I had a spicy chicken ramen and it was perfect. Highly recommended
The staff here are wonderful and the spicy vegan ramen is the best! Always outstanding service. Vegetarian options: vegetarian options and a couple great vegan options.
Im leaving this comment only for a hope of improvement. I visit this location every single week consistently few years now. But unfortunately it seems that you don t appreciate your loyal customers. On quite many occasions you made us wait long time though there were many spots available at the restaurant and slow service - have to always wait to be served. Please please take this into consideration as my kids love your place I don t want to change their favourite place for ramen.
Tough crowd here in these reviews. I ate there a week ago and my ramen dish was delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. Would definitely recommend to others.
This place is a joke, workers are rude, overpriced and had no flavor don t recommend even bothering with this place most reviews are negative here because theres nothing to rave about so literally go to any other place for ramen.
We had the tonkatsu ramen. $17.95 a bowl. I guess consider location, the price is ok, but having a bowl of ramen is getting expensive. It was good, but is on the oily side. Could have skim the oil a bit.
I cant comment on the food... because I was never able to order. Upon arriving, there was a 15 minute wait before I could get the attention of anyone to be put on the list for a table. Then waited another 15 for our table. Meanwhile half the restaurant was empty with dirty tables. When we finally got seated with menus it took another 20 minutes for the first person who noticed we hadnt ordered to ask something, let alone bring waters. When we were trying to order both our plan A and plan B choices were out of stock.. we left. Who knows how long it would have been to actually get our food or drinks. I cant imagine paying those prices with such poor service. Time of day 2:30pm Jan 2nd.
The place is simple, familiar and very pleasant. The service is good, we ate a very broad childrens menu, pork ramen and calamari. Remente good
This was my first time trying ramen at ZUBU Park Royal. I know they have other locations, too. They had a limited time (until Dec 31) Holiday special menu with Bone Marrow ramen. It was SO good! The broth was deliciously flavourful and the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture
What is the point of offering gluten free noodles on the menu, if you cant make gluten free ramen? I went specifically because I saw gluten free noodles on the menu, but I was told that they cannot make gluten free ramen. I explained that thankfully Im not coeliac and I just have a condition for which I cannot have gluten, and cross contamination is fine in my case. But the server (she was very nice and of course it wasnt her fault!) went to the kitchen to ask 3 times, and she was told that they cannot make gluten free ramen. So, either the kitchen is not aware of what cross contamination is (which would be pretty concerning for a restaurant in 2023!), or the gluten free noodles on the menu are some sort of marketing strategy I dont understand. Im not complainig about the lack of gluten free options - Im not asking that every restaurant does, I simply dont go - but why offer it at all?! Too bad because I was very excited to try it. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
The curry seemed to have garlic in it. As a result, children seemed to be a little reluctant. The ramen had a refreshing taste and was easy to eat. The fried chicken was very popular with the kids and they ate a lot of it. I was disappointed that I couldnt order gyoza that day, so Id like to try the gyoza next time I go to the restaurant.
I ve dine here close to 10 times so far. Their service is never excellent but it s always okay. We like their food! This time, we had a family of 6 including 2 children under 6 and 2 adults. They asked if it s okay for 18% gratuity up front as we had a party of 6. We disagreed and asked for reasons. They kept saying it s a restaurant policy. 2 of our older children decided to eat somewhere else as they were upset by their reasoning and inflexibility. They lost nearly $40 sales there. Gratuity is voluntary and we should be able to decide what to tip especially their service is just okay. They should not demand 18% for a family of 6 up front. I understand if it s a larger group. It appeared floor staff and management needed more industry experience to be flexible. Their food was good, though.
Everything tastes awesome, our Ramen and appies were fantastic!
The best ramen ever ! My son begs me to go here everyday! Kid-friendliness: Good
Taste is 4 stars but the price is outrageous! Almost $20 for a small size ramen with NO egg. Crispy chicken was really good. The tonkotsu black garlic with fatty pork was flavourful. But I cannot justify the price.
On a normal day, Zubu Park Park Royal is a mess. The food is delicious, don t get me wrong! But service at this location is terrible. It takes forever for staff to acknowledge new walks in. Getting a glass of water or putting an order in takes a million years and no one checks up on you during your meal. They also forget to bring any garlic or chilli oil and by the time they do, you are finished your ramen. This would be understandable if the restaurant was full or the staff were busy, but no. The staff stand in the back of the restaurant talking. Today was a bit different though. A new server by the name was Dylan was helping me. He took my order on time, brought over my add ons (garlic, chilly oils, water with ice), and periodically asked how my meal was and if I needed anything else. Jessica was also very attentive by taking away dishes, refilling my water and asking how I was doing. Dylan and Jessica are the employees Zubu needs to staff and is the reason why I am giving a 3 out of 5 star review (or else it would be a 1 star review). *take note managers* Overall, I come to Zubu for ramen and always expect slow service and not receiving my full order. PS. Sake is like warm. Vegetarian options: Spicy vegan ramen
One of our favourite ramen restaurants is offering $10 bowls of ramen for a limited time to celebrate their new location downtown. We had their two signature ramens. Very tasty but I wished the broth was hotter. I like my broth piping hot. We both had the thick noodle al dente style. The rich broth with the chewy noodles is highly recommended. Can t wait to visit the downtown location.
Girlfriend and I just ate here while visiting and staff were really nice and personal with us! Food was really good too, we devoured it
Ramen has definitely gotten a lot better compared to when they first opened here. Their lunch specials are of great value, ramen tastes excellent, and the desserts are great. Service is also good as well. One thing about this place is that its best to get a reservation as this place is always busy during the lunch hour. Overall, a great ramen place in West Vancouver.
Good food. Nice restaurant. Happy hour all day. Reasonable price.
The ramen is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is nice.
This place has some very good ramen for the north shore. Will be back again definitely
Food is delicious, portion size of the chicken was small, two tiny pieces. Service could use improving as well.
The ramen was really good! The broth was light and the chashu was super tender. The service was also amazing :)
Always happy with the service from staff here as well as quality of food. Its nice to see some of the same staff over last year or two. Kid-friendliness: My kids love the kids menu!
We wanted a quick lunch and jumped in for the lunch special. Excellent value and great ramen. A welcomed change from the standard shopping mail fare.
The ramen is incredible!!!! The service has always been great! Food is fresh and so delish!!! Love this place!
Decent ramen service was great!
Not to us, but one of the service staff seemed furious at the food delivery person when we walked in after having yelled at each other. The staff then carried that negative energy pretty much the entire time we were there? Take a moment and gather yourself... The other girl was great. Good thing she was the one serving us Food is consistent every time we go~
Cant comment on the food as the service was absolutely awful and decided to walk out. Came in yesterday afternoon and even though it wasnt busy, we were completely ignored for almost 10-15 minutes before someone decided to come over and ask if we were ready to order. The place was also a mess with many dirty tables and the servers/bussers were unpleasant and looked completely unmotivated to work just aimlessly moving around not doing much. This is a prime example of those trying to imitate the standard and quality of Japanese ramen establishments when they shouldnt.
I never had terrible service in my life. She ignores the customers, snorts at them, and only puts on a fake smile when they come to the table to ask questions. It was a scary store.
Great food, great customer servise
It was the most delicious Japanese ramen Ive ever had. The broth wasnt salty and the spicy ramen could be adjusted to the level of spiciness. I was a little disappointed because the chicken in the crispy chicken ramen was seasoned and not the crispy chicken I expected, but the broth was still delicious. Although the price is a bit expensive, I plan to visit again.
Great ramen place. Had the spicy chicken ramen and it was spicy. I ordered it Hot and it was very spicy and to my limit. However it was very tasty and I would definitely order this again. Might be better to just have the spicy version and add heat on top.
Amazing! The restaurant is small, but theyve done a great job maximizing tables without cramming everyone together. It was our first time and the staff were so helpful and went through the menu with us. The food was amazing! My favorite was the Aburi cheesecake. Id go back just for that! We also had the classic and tonkatsu ramen and the salmon tacos. 10/10 also recommend upgrading for the side of chicken bites (or gyoza) and the house salad. I didnt try the hand roles, but they looked pretty good too!
I ve been here twice, the first time I had ramen and this time a rice bowl. This time that I went, the server was amazing because he knew that we were on a lunch break from school, so he ensured that our food was made and served as quickly as possible.
Great service. Tasty food. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Server happy to point them out. Parking: Easy to find parking in the area
My go to place for mazesoba. Always get their lunch deal . Worth every penny
Very tasty, Ramen, nice environment, and friendly staff. Second time going there.
I love this place!! Spicy miso ramen was so good!!!
Vegetarian options: Incredible spicy vegan Ramen!!
Delicious ramen. Excellent service.
Great service! Tonkotsu Aka with thick noodles is sooo good. Price is also fair.
Beautiful dishes
I have been to many Ramen places, in Vancouver, Hawaii and Montreal. This is one of my top 3 favourite Ramen places (surpasses Morimoto s momosan in Oahu by a few light years ). Morimoto should come and taste what a superior Ramen tastes like. Vegetarian options: They got that too Dietary restrictions: They re very accommodating Parking: It s in a mall! Kid-friendliness: My kids LOVE the food
Decent ramen but can be quite pricey for what you get. Service was quick despite it being very busy.
It was pretty good remen and good service. Dont miss out BOGO event which is by end of April. I took out one star because I havent seen remen without an egg lol probably extra for that. Broth was not too thick( I got pork and chicken broth) and I loved it. My husband got spicy pork broth one and it was quite spicy. The good thing was I liked it even though I used to hate the fatty broth ramen.
Best ramen on the Shore. Recommend the thick ramen noodles. Fantastic service!
Crispy chicken was juicy, Tonkatsu ramen was flavorful.
Georgeos
I love this place and the food is excellent!!! We always have great service and the entire family leaves satisfied Kid-friendliness: The online menu has a kids menu which is great for my 13 yr old daughter because she likes small portions of food.
Amazing food, beautiful decor and great customer service. A little bit on the pricier side, but fully worth it. Ikura temaki is amazing, full of salmon roe and overall just amazing. 100% recommend if you re in the area.
Food was amazing and the service was great. 10/10 would recommend. The spicy salmon tacos. Mmmm so good.
Excellent.
Been here a few times. Food and portion size is good. A little on the pricey side but as expected in West Van. Bonus is the kids get colouring sheets while you wait for food.
Delicious food and lovely staff Parking: Close to parking tower so easy to park
Very good ramen! Had the chicken ramen and was a solid 10/10. My mum had the calamari (I tried a piece) and it was amazing! Very nice workers and would totally recommend to anybody wanting a good ramen place!
Vegetarian options: The Tempura Sprouts were delicious and my daughter and I loved the Spicy Vegan soup bowl. Definitely will return again.
Zubu is pretty consistent with the few times I ve been here after snowboarding. It s always a good way to warm up after being on the mountain all day. While their portions are slightly small, the broth isn t too heavy. I find that zubu franchises do well with their ramen consistency and service is decent.
So we use to love Zubu when they first open, however recently they ve changed their service. Service is non existent now. We were instructed to use their app to place an order. You need to scroll through endless options to find what you want to order, no one is there to explain anything to you or help you with any substitutions. When the food was delivered it is just dropped off at the table with no explanation, leaving us to guess what we were eating in the seafood platter. We had to stand up and wave someone down for water, and for the bill. It s now like eating at a fast food restaurant. And the manager wore cologne so strong we could taste it.
Tasty ramen, but as other people wrote, there is no service. Order food on their website and they bring food. Thats it. You cant see servers after. We waited long for our bill but they just passed by to drop food and clean the tables and didnt bother to ask if we need anything else or our bill. We had to stand up and wait by the door to get a servers attention to pay.
The special set menu was great. The desert was delicious. I love the seasonal cilantro chicken ramen. It was not greasy at all! Parking: A lot of parking. Easy to park
I love coming here with friends and family. They throw really great seasonal promotions and the staff are super accommodating and friendly.
Fire ramen 10 outta 10 would recommend on a rainy day
4 stars for the flavor 1 star for overall experience 1 star for value for money 0 star for the actual ramen noodles Good flavorful broth soup with 3 thinly sliced pieces of meat for $22.. which felt like a joke!!! Pretty poor quality noodles.. they were supposedly the thin ones but felt like super thick and dense. They felt like eating under cooked spaghetti. The male server with long hair had an unpleasant attitude. There are much better ramen restaurants around. I do not recommend this one.
I liked the thin noodles. It was unusual to have onions in the ramen (from my experience) but it was great.
It was okay, kinda expensive, you order from your phone.
Pricey for a bowl of ramen, extra for a so-so egg, and calpico with lemon juice $7. Table wasnt provided with ramen condiments, had to ask for it individually. Bathroom floor/wall in corners were dirty, made it feel unclean.
Mihori, Taiga and all the staff are outstanding! Speaking Japanese with us too! So clean, stylish and fun! The food is always amazing ! We love Zubu!!! Parking: The best Kid-friendliness: They are so good here for kids!! Fun and excellent menu for the kids Wheelchair accessibility: Barrier free
Amazing service, super kind! My son got a piece of cake for his birthday!!! Such excellent food, worth it, so it s our new fave ramen-ya !! Highly recommend all our friends to come!! Parking: Great place to park, safe and easy Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly and colouring on the menu is great!
Tried to eat lunch here today- there were some sort of strong cleaning chemicals in my water or not rinsed off the glass which I accidentally drank, very unpleasant and disgusting. No services it s all through your phone.
Delicious ramen, great service, my food take just 5 mins to be served.
ZUBU RAMEN (West Van) They have a lunch special that s not bad! I got the Tonkatsu Kuro with THICK noodles. Broth is great , but the pork Chashu is inconsistent compared to the Metrotown one. The Metrotown one was fattier and juicier and more flavorful. this one I had at Park Royal was meh. Also the dining atmosphere at Metrotown is better! Otherwise it was still a tasty meal
Modern but compact interior and tasty food that had some nice presentation. Affordable too. Great for a quick bite or a longer meal.
Would gave it 0 star if I am allowed! My mom and I walked into the store for lunch, we stood at the door for more than 5 mins and no one even acknowledged us. Then a server came to us told us to kept standing and waiting because the manager said so. The funny thing is the store was not even busy, and there are plenty of tables. I kindly asked that if we could find a table and sit down just to view the menu as we could wait until they are ready to serve us. The answer was a really cold NO . Then I realized that it was a completely wasted of our time, so we left the store and we will never come back to this chain restaurant at any location. Be aware of this.
The tonkotsu Kuro s porc broth is not as rich as tonkotsu broth should normally be but it was not bad. The spicy version is mild though. The tonkotsu shiro s chicken broth is light and tasty. The noodle was cooked al dente . We ordered the ramen combo which comes with a house salad & gyoza but the waitress forgot to bring the gyoza out. It was ready at the same time as the ramen (we saw it from the bar where we were sitting). After a while, seeing that she did not bring it out, we had to ask for it. Also, we had to remind her to bring out water. The restaurant was not full but we can see that they had a lot of take out orders. It was apparent that they prioritize preparing the take out bags and neglect the dine-in guests. Parking: Located in an outdoors mall with mall parking lot.
Awesome cold ramen (hiyashichuka) with sesame sauce
Delish!! And great service
Yummy food and friendly service, but a bit slow.
Service and staff were amazing
Great atmosphere. The servers are really friendly, and the service is quick. And even more importantly, the food is really good. Delicious Raman and Gyozas
We decided to stop in for dinner after seeing the high number of four star reviews unfortunately we were left a little disappointed. The ramen soup broth tasted all right not as rich as some other places and the noodles seem to be sticking together and undercooked. The atmosphere of the restaurant was all right nothing special though overall probably would not recommend.
Very good chicken broth and fried chicken
Ramen was surprisingly good. No line up, unlike these other overrated Ramen places. Food
The taste of food was really awful We waste our time & money I never came back Food : 1/5
DO NOT ORDER AT THIS PLACE The food is mediocre, you can get WAY better food at White spot across the restaurant where they have much better food and service. If I could give a 0 instead of 1, I would definitely. I ordered for takeout. They said it would take 15-20 minutes. I received my food more than 30 minutes later waiting outside in the cold weather. I asked the guy with glasses and a beard with tattoos on his arm if I could wait inside since the weather was cold but he just said no. Since the restaurant was busy I understood, so I asked to turn on the heater outside. He said he would but never came. Most of the employees there are not trained properly at all. They were all struggling with customers. I received my food more than 30 minutes AND I had to wait outside shivering. Totally not a great experience. I m so disappointed, never coming to this place again.
The Raman is definitely overpriced, probably because of the location in a premium shopping mall. Basic ramen doesnt include egg and price is already higher than most of the ramen places. The soup tastes good but the amount of food is less than most of places we have been to. If you like ramen, try it in downtown Vancouver, Burnaby or Richmond!
What a great experience zubu is. Definitely top 3 ramen places to visit. I visited here because they had a picture of a bone with bone marrow infused ramen and i was instantly hooked and it didnt disappoint. We tried a couple of dishes there and every single one was done perfectly. Very glad there is great ramen place in park royal
Friendly servers and staff. Nice atmosphere and good ramen. Would also recommend the vanilla cheese cake for dessert!
Ramen was good, but the bowl is pretty small compared to others. Calamari was a small serving with little calamari mixed with cauliflower although the flavors were good. Wont be rushing back but might try the happy hour.
Very rich flavors. Love this place and definitely recommended for a great ramen on the North Shore.
We order two items poke bowl and vegan bowl charge in my credit card $45 but only I delivered one items. Not trusted this restaurant We been calling but not answering regarding missing food delivered.
Good portions, standard prices, amazing food and attentive servers!
The food was good but the service needs work. The food takes a really long time to come out and servers seem to always be looking down and avoiding eye contact. The tone that one of the servers used also made me a bit uncomfortable. One thing that I noticed that really bugged me was how servers would treat tables differently. Apparently, they had a No Outside Food policy which is absolutely fine but if you are going to enforce it, please enforce it for everyone. I saw a server take away outside drinks from one family but completely disregard another table who also had outside drinks.
food is okay, but the service
Decided to order a meal from here. Very disappointed. Wrong noodles, forgot my toppings I was charged for, 30 minutes late, and arrived ice cold, and got one slice of pork. Not ordering again and it was overpriced for the quality and quantity.
First time and our family enjoyed our dinner.
Absolutely delightful, food awesome, service attentive
The best ramen I have ever eaten, the place is nice, the prices are good and the food is excellent.
We had the two signature ramen. Crispy Chicken Ramen and Tonkotsu Kuro. The crispy chicken itself was very good, I really liked the flavour, and it was very crispy, not soggy. The Tonkotsu ramen was good. Both of which are thin noodles and the broth were delicious too. Zubu is definitely a great choice on the north shore to look after your ramen cravings! Why only 4 star? Because there werent really any characters in these signature dishes. They were delicious, but didnt really stand out, unfortunately.
Great food, good service from staff, unfortunately management may lead this place downhill.
Park royal zubu needs to hire a adults who actually care and who are sharp. Most of the people here really young and running it without knowledge.
The presentation of the food is good, the AC is bad
If I could give 0 stars I would. First of, customer service was 2/5. The host didn t even greet us but did tell us next time we had to go in to get a table outside even though there is no sign outside that let s customers know. Second, the first waitress we had was really rude and didn t greet us nor helped or explained the menu, she had a really grumpy face. And third it was all disorganized, we had like 4 different servers and none of them provided a good customer service and experience. They need to know how to greet, smile, make eye contact and most importantly how to make a customer feel welcome. Lastly, food was terrible! Menu said one thing about the food and when it got to my table it was way different than what it was on the menu, ordered a chicken cashu bowl and i could only find 4 tiny pieces of plain and bland chicken, flavour overall was 0/5. Im sorry but never coming back again
Poor management and no communication with customers .
Great food and fun night out. For those complaining about the staff, I didn t have that kind of experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Some may be young, but you need to give people a chance to learn. Seems like some people are simply looking to complain about anything. Good job Zubu staff!
Casual ramen place but could use some improvement on the ambience. The food was ok and we enjoyed it. Nonetheless, we did not like it when they started taking plates away while we were still eating with their arms crowding your face while still finishing your meal. One feels rushed and just sends a negative vibe.
Must try Crispy chicken and spicy chicken ramen
Ramen was pretty good, however it didnt really stand out from other ramen restaurants. I did really enjoy the broth and the portions were surprisingly decent. Its still a great place to satisfy any ramen cravings.
Had a great experience dining with my toddler here! They gave her a coloring sheet, had a kids menu that had a huge variety of food for a great price, they gave her a plastic bowl and a tray for her food, and even gave her a straw cup without me asking. Very thoughtful and amazing staff here!
Love this spot! Service is a little slow when really busy sometimes but everyone is really friendly & food/beer is great. Excellent ramen, I always get the Tonkatsu Aka & add an egg!
Absolutely delicious, better than Korean ramen restaurants Very awesome
Delicious food, excellent service, impressive kids menu - thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family!
It s always a pleasant experience - we wish they would bring back shishito peppers!
What happened to this place? We went there in middle of August. It was a mess with service, they forgot our drink and we finally got the drink until we talked with 3 different server. It must be a first training day for few of the servers? The food still tasty tough!
Amazing food here every single time.
What can you say? One of the best ramens in town
Great place for ramen - love the pork broth. Staff is not very efficient and did not care enough when our appetizer came after our ramen.
Portions are offensively small. I ordered the Tonkotsu Aka ramen for $21.80. That got me ONE small, rectangular 5 x 2 inch piece of firm pork and a handful of noodles. The broth was tasty, but this is an egregious value proposition of a meal. I understand global food prices are increasing, but offering miserly portions isn t the solution. Raise the item s price and save your business s credibility instead.
I would like to start off by saying THANK YOU to the exceptional staff at this location. We had a small issue with our order at lunch today and the staff rectified it immediately, not just that but they went ABOVE + BEYOND to ensure we left with smiles on our faces, we were blown away by the service we received. Thank you everyone at Zubu Park Royal!!! We will see you again soon.
Just rolled in for a quick lunch, the ramen here is absolutely perfect, the service is great. Delicious hand rolls! They were out of gyoza the day we came, but thats ok. 10/10 you definitely need to stop at ZUBU
The ramen here is good, but the service is inconsistent. I ve been there several times and sometime have to wait quite a bit for service. This last time, the service was nonexistent. I was put at a table around the side where I wasn t easily seen, and I had to get up, walk to the front three times to flag someone down. The first time to get someone to take my order, the second time to get a side dish, and the third time to get my bill. During the entire meal, no one came to ask how I was doing or refill water on their own. I noticed my server was in charge of training another new staff at that time, but perhaps training should be done outside of work hours or put a different server to manage the tables.
Uh oh. Ramen was good, but service was terribly slow. We could tell that 3 other tables were uncomfortablly waiting to pay after eating. To top it all off they had complimentary tea outside, but when I brought it to my table I was charged 2 dollars after eating... and waiting about 20 minutes to pay. I complained but the manager said that complimentary tea was only for people waiting outside. Very disappointing
Excellent takeout option
The ramen was ok, overpriced compare to the good ones in DT.
