4000 Hollyburn Trail, West Vancouver, BC V7N 3N9, Canada
Historic setting for comfort classics, rustic wooden picnic tables & scenic views.
Our family spent many, many happy hours here enjoying hot chocolate or catching quick snacks while snowshoeing. We especially appreciate how Hollyburn Lodge upscaled their kitchen this winter, with everything now served in real plates with metal forks/spoons (opposed to disposable ones in past years). The menu was also re-worked, so they now serve bistro-level dishes (again, compared to fast-food style in the past). The service is always quick and friendly. My kids love learning about the Lodge history through reading their articles hung on walls and checking out original artifacts. I would recommend Hollyburn Lodge as a perfect dating destination for young couples who want to spend their date outdoors, say snowshoeing Lights to the Lodge trail. No matter the weather, atmosphere in the Lodge and on the trails is always romantic and magical. Keep up the good work, Hollyburn! And see you again soon!
After the trails of snowshoe it was really comforting to drink a hot cider or wine, but I think they can improve the taste and size of beverages. The sweet potatoes are really good.
Great place to relax and rest between skiing or snowshoeing. Food is tasty but a bit pricey as food needs to be taken up by snowmobile. Outdoor seating is available under a large tent at the back.
A placed for mulled wine, spiced apple cider, hot chocolate, and fries, complete with an outdoor stone fire and couches as a pit stop for the halfway point of the basic snowshoe trail. They also offer burgers, hot dogs, soups, desserts, etc. The food is like canteen food but the place is cozy and nice and the drinks are quite warming.
The place was absolutely gorgeous with all those old ski stuff and photos. The food is just basic, nothing fancy. The staff were super friendly.
Friendly staff, great food (French fries are awesome), prices are reasonable given the location of the Lodge. Lots of tables with plenty of space for larger groups. Tables available inside or out (under the heated tent).
Great little spot to chill.. or warm up after a day enjoying winter festivities. Covid protocols in place. They also have a large covered seating area outside. I was surprised by how much they had to offer. Burgers some fast food. Hot chocolate and lots of different beverage selections. They even have alcohol. Free water and Bathrooms available.
Cool spot nestled in the woods... A great place to stop for a snack and a drink while warming up from a snowshoe or nordic ski on adjacent trails. Food service is good, friendly, and there's washrooms. It's pretty basic inside, but we're roughing it, right? :)
Love love love this place when Im up visiting the mountain
Great, cozy atmosphere. Good food at good prices. Great place for lunch or a snack while out xc skiing.
We love this place. Great atmosphere and staff, I gave the food a 3 as it is often far too salty. I wish cooks would taste more often as they make things like gravy. Other than that this place is awesome
Good food, coffee but lukewarm
We love the hot bailey chocolate here.
Cool little place to grab a soup and hot chocolate
Nice and cozy spot in the middle of nowhere except that its actually quite busy when we last visited. Reasonable price and good selection, burger was good, mulled wine was also a nice touch. Outdoor seating with fireplace is also available if you dont mind the cold.
Fun place to eat while skiing try the poutine. Gluten free beer as well
A nice, cozy place for a quick hot beverage before heading back out
Great place to rest and take a break after skiing or snow shoeing. Lovely atmosphere and the expanded menu they had was great! My family had lots of fun a d thoroughly enjoyed their time at the lodge and just trekking around. As my family member said when asked how his first time trekking through snow and being at the lodge was oh its really wonderful! It exceeded all my expectations! If I could, I would come back for days!
Nice to have rest during your nordic snow activity or snowshoeing.
A warm and friendly place.
Very cozy.
Nice place to stop at while snowshoeing. There s a fire pit outside the lodge. Food was mediocre; fries were bland, wings were dry, and mulled wine was small.
I wish there were more of these lodges offering a hot drink and something to eat on the mountains. Hollyburn lodge make a good job of keeping the historic atmosphere.
Food is a bit pricy for what you get. Nice place to warm up
Great spot for some mulled wine in the winter. Highly recommend the night lights walk.
I just love the Hollyburn Lodge and have been going since I was a kid XC skiing. Im so thrilled with the re-build in that its kept a lot of the original lodges character, right down to hanging old windows on the walls. This is always a cozy spot for a mid-ski drink and snack.
So nice after a snowshoeing hike in the mountain to have a nice hot cocoa with a little shot of Baileys to warm up with.
Go to Cypress Mountains Hollyburn Trail to snowshoe. Although the trail is not long, only more than one kilometer one way, walking on the snow in freezing temperatures is also very tiring. Of course, when you get to the cabin, you have to have a cup of hot coffee and a cinnamon roll to replenish your energy before continuing on the road. Went snowshoeing on the Hollyburn Trail located on Cypress mountain. Even though the entire trail was quite short, a little more than 1 kilometer, but treading through the snow during 0 degrees weather really takes a toll on your body. Entered the little cabin to rejuvenate myself with a cup of hot chocolate, and a cinnamon bun, so I can replenish my energy and keep going.
Great lighted trail to the lodge
Nice place to relax.
Love Hollyburn Lodge, the food is great after a long day of XC, its nice to stop in for a drink and a sit outside by the fire.
Good to step in if you feel cool
Could really do with improved ventilation and washroom facilities for the cold.
Yummy food and drinks but turn on the furnace and provide warming and drying opportunities for your gear- today would have been so much appreciated
Love this place. Hiking Trail so romantic and beautiful. Lodge welcoming, warm, clean, yummy food. Highly recommend, for Spring, summer, autumn or winter. Nature is breath taking. All our friends we take we took for hike at Hollyburn, loved it to!
Great little rest stop whilst show shoeing or cross country skiing. No fire pits at the moment. Flush toilets.
Fair price and cinnamon bun was so good and warm.
Food was tasty as was the beer on tap. Great little spot!
Many people eat and drink in general, but the quality is not high and the price is not cheap. But you don t have a choice.
Cozy little cabin amongst the snowshoe and crosscountry ski trails. Warm food options like burgers, poutine and chicken wings. Some pastry snacks like cinnamon buns and lemon loafs. Alcohol drinks like beer and mulled wine available. It can get quite busy around lunch time and you may need to wait outside in a long lineup so I recommend going outside of lunch time. Indoor washrooms available. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Very warm and friendly staff
Perfect place to warm-up after some snowshoe/x-country ski adventures. This warm lodge has classic ski chalet offerings and boozy winter favourites liked mulled wine and warm cider. Best part is it requires people to hike, ski or shoe into- no car access.
Great food and value, the service is tops!!
This restaurant is only open during the snow season, and can only be reached on foot Imagine walking in the snow for 20 minutes, arriving at this restaurant, and having a hot bowl of soup with minced beef and red beans. Wouldn t you feel grateful? They opened this restaurant here!
One of my favourite places in the whole world. So remote but only 30 minutes from home. I love to stop in for a hot chocolate when I go skiing or snowshoeing. Friendly people and dedicated staff.
Really enjoyed the band playing, after we did the evening snow shoe. Very packed. If you want a table. Make a reservation or get there early.
On Cypress mountain. A welcome warm rest spot after a day or midway point when skiing or snow shoeing. Has a good selection of burgers, fries, poutine, soup, snacks etc. Fries are crispy and good. Coffee is a serve yourself Starbucks Pike abd there is hot chocolate too. Lots of seating. Gives you that authentic Alpine experience.
Really fun and cozy place
Great place to take a break and grab a cold brew. Burgers are pretty basic here, dont expect gourmet. Minus one star when the cashier told me gratuity is not included and expected, because I was using a voucher.
Excellent baked goods
Very cozy lodge with a surprisingly good selection of snacks and beverages
Comfortable and warm ambience perfect for relaxing after cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
So fun to ski and pop-in to a newly restored old-style Nordic ski lodge.
Had a great time with amazing friends after snowshoeing.
Cozy
Nice little hike or ski to get up to the lodge. Lodge is fully licensed to fit all your liquid requirements.
Nice to see it rebuilt while keeping the charm of the original.
Exactly what youd expect for a lodge in the middle of snow shoe trails in the mountains. Hit drinks and food and a rustic look and feel!
Its a cozy cabin in the middle of the snowshoe trails. They offer live music on Saturdays which has to be booked with snowshoe tour.
This lodge has been a constant in my life, and Ive been skiing from there since I was 3! The new lodge is lovely and almost the same as the old lodge, just without the bouncy floors. Music nights are a must, always a fun time to dance with friendly people.
A rustic lodge so near to downtown Vancouver.
Nice cozy place, good food and atmosphere
First time back since the rebuild. It s better than ever! We can t wait to come back. Maybe after dark next time.
Love the staff, beautiful building, good food
Excellent. Great place to grab a bite or warm up when cross corby skiing or snowshoeing. Aniaka Andes negativ review below is obviously false as the Lodg is day use only and doe no offer rooms or showers.
Good selection of Paninis, fresh local beer on tap. Great service. Mystical 1K walk through old forest on gravel trail from parking. Out door tables in summertime. Cast Iron stove in winter.
lots of hiking trails, good gathering place, and great views.
The new lodge is excellent! Good prices for a resort feel. Cross country ski up to the lodge takes 6min.
