JJ's Kitchen in West Vancouver

Food is on brand for Vancouver, overall okay but priced quite high. I m doing a piece on this restaurants staffing issues in the past, please be in touch if you ve worked for this location/owner.

JJ s kitchen has spectacular food, service and ambience. Everything in JJs is above and beyond anyone s imagination! My husband and I s #1 date night restaurant! Extremely impressed!

EDIT: ever since they changed management, we have not had a good experience. Service leaves much to be desired and the manager couldn t care less about the issues we were having with our food. We ordered the same eggs Benedict, however this time they served us scrambled eggs with an English muffin and some veggies. No hollandaise sauce, nothing even resembling an eggs Benny. When I notified the manager, he argued saying it is an eggs benny. We didn t eat the food and went to milestones instead. Highly do not recommended. I left my original review for the previous management: Incredible service, atmosphere, and of course amazing brunch! Came in this afternoon with my family for brunch and we could not have been happier! We got their Eggs Bennys (highly recommend) and french toast (absolutely delicious). Our servers were the sweetest and were super accommodating, we were never left looking for someone. Restaurant itself was gorgeous, a lot of attention to vibe and detail. Overall an amazing experience and will be back again!! We were shocked the place wasn t packed because of how delicious the food was! Highly recommend checking this place out.

Really disappointed with the lack of communication with the restaurant. I had a reservation for 5pm for my birthday. I drove 35 minutes to get here and once I arrive at 4:45, we walked in and they tell us that the restaurant was closed. Confused as to why they are closing, we asked if they are opening at 5 then and that theres a period of time that they re closed... nope, they just told us there was an issue with the kitchen 15 minutes before our reservation while we re standing in the restaurant.. Where was any phone call? Or Email? Thanks for wasting my time and money on gas on my birthday :)

There was a fruit fly frozen into an ice cube in my drink, and when asked for a new drink I was told really? And you don t want the extra protein? And she still charged me for the drink. I also saw mice running around outside and could hear the staff yelling at eachother in the back of the restaurant. Food was super overpriced for the size and quality of food.

Service is not good to say the least. Food is over priced. I would suggest avoiding this please.

Seating is too low for the too - high windows. Please build a raised seating platform and it will be a hit.

Saturday July 27, 2024, noon-ish Wow. Our waitress couldn t have cared less. Left us sitting for 20 minutes with no coffee or check in, messed up our order, didn t bring or offer salt, pepper, ketchup with our meals, no coffee refills, no asking us how our meal was. We had to get up and go in search for jam for our toast. There were three table and two waitresses! Worst experience ever and we won t be back. Omelette was edible, so two stars for that.

Im sorry, I usually dont like to put bad reviews, but today, I went there for brunch. It was good, but just the quantities and prices of drinks were ridiculous. Eggs Benny came with 2.5 small potatoes. Literally. The mimosa done with some old non bubbly Prosecco and tanga orange juice was 18 dollars lol ! The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, it was weird because it was the 3rd place we went and the other 2 were packed. 2 other customers also arrived. We were 4 total. At that point, there was probably more staff than customers in the establishment. However, we did wait 25 min for food and 15 min for drinks. Eggs Benny with 1 old brown strawberry cut in 4 and 2.5 potatoes cut in 5. I can make 4 at home in 1/2 the time. Because Im a bit rusty and havent worked in a restaurant for 25 years. Anyway. Good ambiance, the eggs and the hollandaise sauce were good. Everything else was rationed like it is WW3. Ham and salmon were almost transparent. I was impressed we could actually slice it that thin. Especially the salmon + avocado. Default tip was 20% lol Sad to leave a bad review.

I would give this place more than 5 stars. Was nice they took us in as looked like server was getting ready to close but they said come on in. Our server from Sat Jun 8th around 9 ish was just amazing. Friendly and knew her stuff. The food,omg was so so good. It was all so flavorful. Would definitely come back.

Youd be a fool not to stop in for the $15 burger and beer. Beautiful atmosphere, great service delicious food at good prices. Nothing to complain about

Amazing chicken wings!

Lesson learned to not rely on google reviews. Very slow service, we asked for drip coffee but halfway through our meal we noticed her about to start making Americano (sorry its just not the same) so we cancelled it - we had already waited about half an hour for it. Food very expensive for what you are getting (portion and quality wise). Fresh fruits were not fresh at all (strawberried were brown...). I asked for a toast with my eggs and we got a basket of garlic bread?? We sent it back. Overall I am surprised we didnt just walk out right away but looking at the reviews I was hoping for at least a friendly vibe and good coffee. We got neither. To their credit the owner came over to apologize and offered us free coffee to go or a gift certificate to come back.. She said this had never happened before but looking at yelp reviews it looks like that isnt true at all. If you are understaffed then just inform your customer when they walk in, if you dont have what they ask for just tell them instead of just sending something our way and if you dont have fresh fruit then please dont serve it to us.

Seriously the worst service of any restaurant I have every been to. We have tried it twice and second time was worse than the first. Mothers Day was a set menu for $35 per head. We received only one of the 3 promised courses and were still charged the full amount. The choice of food was four breakfast dishes only. We waited for an hour for an eggs benny served with fries. My daughter had the JJ breakfast, which consisted of 2 small strips of bacon, one tiny breakfast sausage and two eggs. Outrageous, we will not be going back!

Worst restaurant experience Ive ever had.

Had a reservation for mother days. Did not state it was a set menu. Reso for 130 and they told us we had to have the brunch set menu. 1 out of 3 options was not available (which most our table wanted) food took 1hr 15mins and came cold and missing ingredients. They than told us its because its late to order brunch. EVEN though we asked for their regular menu and they said NO. Awful costumer service. Ruined our mothers day. We all left starving

I came for Mother s Day brunch. I felt like I was in an episode of kitchen nightmares with Gordon Ramsay. Chef yelling at the server, 50% of the menu not available, cinnamon buns from Costco. The experience was interesting, don t really know how else to describe it.

Its a lovely place right across from the West Vancouver Yacht Club, and even has a bus stop right in front for convenience if youre taking transit to Horseshoe Bay. The decor and ambience is very charming too. We stopped in for happy hour and the calamari is one of the best Ive ever tasted its soft and tender without being chewy or overdone. The owner and the head waitress were both very kind and attentive to our needs. We will be back for more!

Wish I could rate this higher but pretty well everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Food took forever and was over sauced - ordered Spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were small and tough and way too much cream sauce. Prices for a bottle of wine were crazy and then 50% off so no real deal there. Lots of promise but lots to fix up prior.

What a find! We took a different exit into Horseshoe Bay and happened to drive past this restaurant. Its sounds funny to say but that was the best burger meal I can ever remember having! I dont usually leave a review, unless it is necessary. Overall, it was good as we ordered pasta platter with Ahi tuna quinoa salad. the service was good, and the portion was huge. However, we found out that the meatballs were cold, (which we should ask them to cook again, but we didnt bother as we live far, and the live music was not cancelled as well on Feb 17, 2024). would probably not recommend this place.

We came to Vancouver on vacation and decided to come to JJ s to try there Lamb Rack and as my friend said this is the BEST Lamb I have ever had . I had the Cajun Chicken Club and it was absolutely delicious. We has to come a second time before leaving back to San Diego because of how good it was. The service was outstanding and we were well taken care of if we ever come back to Vancouver, we will absolutely be coming here again!

Been meaning for some time to add a review of this relatively new eatery based in the WestCoast style timber framed complex opposite Eagle Harbours Thunderbird Marina. The location is somewhat isolated (leading to the demise of previous ventures) but it should be better frequented as the quality of the food - albeit in a fairly limited but interesting menu - is very good indeed. The small team is probably justified by the handful or less of occupied tables (at lunchtime) - so (Bliss) calm and quiet, and no overly-noisy music or TV accompaniment as elsewhere. However if even half the tables were occupied, one suspects that the service would collapse (hence some of the not-quite-fair Google reviews). But at present, a nice quiet ambience, no shouty clientele, good smiling service, welcoming, reasonably priced and well-prepared well-presented food (a vgood chef), tho not an overly adventurous menu. All pluses. On the minus side, the parking is not obvious. There is parking at the rear (via side road off Marine Drive) but unclear if one can park in front where a kids nursery seems in charge. The venue would be IDEAL for a quick drink or two, especially on the covered summer deck, BUT BUT BUT a massive minus is the ludicrous price markup for the small slightly hidden wine list which contains a few fairly normal BC Liquor wines. Its almost cheaper to BYO and pay a $30 corkage charge. This might be a policy, or start-up naivety, but perhaps the reason for the slight amount of custom. So instead go on a Friday (half-price wine day) - you wont regret it.

The manager tricked my friend into doing graphic design work for them and then refused to pay once the work had been completed. Horrible business practices from slimy management. I ve grown up next door to this spot my whole life and I wouldn t go near it with a ten foot pole

The food was very expensive, the service was very poor, it took a long time to serve the food, we waited for about two hours for the food to be prepared, the tip amount was calculated as 20%, which if we did not understand, they would have taken this amount from us, in general The thing was extremely awful

We didnt expect to find ourselves in a little restaurant across from a marina in West Vancouver, but it was a happy discovery. We were there between lunch and dinner service, and it was perfect. We were seated next to a cracking fire enjoying beef tacos and spicy calamari. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere were all great.

We had a reservation for brunch on Sat, Jan 13th at 10:30 and nobody but a cook was there, he let us in and we sat in the dark and cold till waitstaff arrived 15 min later. Nobody appologized and portions were really small for the prices - all 4 of us left still hungry.

Decided to come here and try the pasta and OH MY GOD SO WORTH!!!!! This is by far the best pasta I ve had, ever. The Kalamari was delicious and flavourful. Rambod greeted us with so much kindness and grace. I would 100% recommend the pasta platter to try everything at once. This was truly an iconic and life changing experience.

Rambod and his team make the best Gourmet Burger ever (this is a different burger than the happy hour one). This restaurant is a local hidden gem.

I have been here a few times now for dinner and each time has been wonderful! The atmosphere is cozy and casual with an open plan, the service terrific and the food delicious. We went on a Friday night and they also had live music to enjoy! Recently, we shared their baby green salad which was huge and fresh, and I had the scallops and prawns for the main. This dinner was excellent, a healthy amount of seafood on a large portion of creamy mashed potatoes and tons of grilled vegetables. JJs is really worth the effort to get to if you do not live in the neighbourhood!

Valentines dinner was a complete scam. Over price for terrible understaffed service. If you are going to charge $300 without sharing the price, you must staff your team accordingly and offer premium service. Feeling angry and ripped off. One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Felt robbed of my money. The prices do not reflect the quality of food in any way and the service attitude was unpleasant. There was no greeting or smile upon entering. Our water wasnt refilled a single time the 1.5 hours we were there. The staff were arguing with each other and many of us could hear it. Pasta was undercooked and not even close to al dente. Definitely not worth the trip.

My wife and I just had a fantastic experience here on a quiet Monday lunch. Salmon chowder and Cajon chicken sandwich was amazing. We will definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I had just come down through Caulfield after a vigorous hike up at Whyte Lake and were looking for a hearty lunch when we came across JJ s Kitchen along Marine Drive, across from the marina. After walking in the front door our host greeted my girlfriend with probably one of the most unusual and shocking openers ive ever heard. He looked at her and asked what happened? My girlfriend responded politely, stating that we had just come back from hiking. My thoughts were otherwise: who in their right mind would ever ask a woman that?! He further responded with darling we accept hikers here. He sat us down at a table next to a young guitarist who was beginning his set list. We both ordered the beer & burger special and were happy with the quality of the food and its presentation. Our server told us that the chef liked us and gave us a side salad today in addition to our regular meal. What came about next can only be described as something for the ages! As we both looked past the pleasant sounds of Spanish guitar we noticed the chef and waiting staff having a one hell of a spat in the kitchen. Let s just say we could both hear it over the pleasant guitar sounds. It abruptly ended with the chef walking out of the restaurant sans uniform in a huff. One hell of a drama sequence for the lunch hour!! We mentioned to our server about what we had seen and his response was just enjoy the show . This comedy of errors made us laugh all the way home to Yaletown!!

What a lovely experience! We stopped here by chance for lunch and are so glad we did The food was absolutely delicious but what really made the experience great was our waiter Ali!! So helpful, knowledgeable and amazing customer service. It was the small things he did to really elevate the experience. Thank you Ali!

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately, I had an incredibly disappointing experience. The employees were incredibly disrespectful and rude throughout my entire visit. Not only were they unprofessional in their demeanor, but they also made no effort to accommodate my requests or even make me feel welcome. Its truly disappointing to see such a lack of customer service in a business that relies so heavily on customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a positive .

I would like to recommend do not have a party in this restaurant.I recently have been invited in a company party and you charge me $5 for a Coca-Cola which I shocked, this is the first time in my life which I saw that a luxury restaurant charge the gusts of a company which it paid all .

First time here, seafood linguine and calamari!!! You ve got to try it!! Service phenomenal! Atmosphere amazing! Working down at west Vancouver yacht club and made my way to this gem, I m glad I did! Do not go here they treat staff horribly and don t pay them. The owner not to mention is absolutely out of their mind. Save ur money and go somewhere else I hope this place gets shut down

This is a gem! I had brunch with a friend a few days ago, patio was lovely and food was delicious as well as their drinks. Staff and owner are extremely friendly and polite, we left this place with a smile on our face. Definitely coming back to try other options on menu!!

Two stars because the food has been good in the past. However today, the COO, Rambod (based off his license plate) pulled a ridiculous and entitled move while pulling into the parking lot, by veering out into traffic, so he could back into the lot. Extremely unsafe and showed zero remorse or responsibly for his actions. At least your passenger was aware enough to give a wave. Wont be returning here again.

This was one of the best meals we had in BC. Service was excellent, One of the very few places that do not overcook my steak. Absolutely delicious food everytime we come here. Hidden gem in the area

Very good food- I ordered the truffle pasta with meat ball. Beautiful, high end interior. The menu seemed to be upgraded at the restaurant though, as the prices are different from what I ve seen on their site (menu pictures on google maps)

April 10th - 2:00pm Restaurant was absolutely gorgeous, service was great. My mom, my boyfriend and I loved it BUT I ordered the JJ house burger and they gave it to me uncooked. When I returned it they told me they serve them medium rare but as per Canadian Health and Safety it is illegal in Canada to serve medium rare burgers. I believe the kitchen staff is not educated to be working in the high end food and beverage industry. They then re-cooked half burger and gave it back to me. Was really hoping it was gonna be my new go to place, but will no be returning.

Surprised at the 4 star rating. Our waiter was a shoe in for Buster from ARRESTED he was sweet and it was humorous until it wasn t! An hour and a half later of sitting at the table, some very cryptic order attempts with the waiter, and we were watching both tables that were sat a half hour after us digging into their brunch! In that hour and a half there was no update on the delay or status of our order, we had zero offers of top ups on coffee or water, and the round of mimosa s we ordered arrived tasting like a 5 year old had made it with a few scoops of condensed frozen mango juice mixed with a no longer sparkling wine that we didn t get an opportunity to re order! We were starving and pretty annoyed and had no hope of the service improving so we left some cash for our terrible drinks on the table and headed out to grab some fish n chips in Horseshoe Bay! Beautiful spot! Terrible Experience on the bright side there is some really good fish n chips down the street!!

Absolute abysmal experience. We waited for over an hour to receive our menus. Waited an hour and a half to get water for the table (after asking multiple times). When they finally took our orders the food never arrived, but new guests that were seated an hour after us started getting their orders. After two and a half hours we walked out of the establishment and they even wanted to charge us for tea and coffee they barely managed to serve us. Will never go back.

We came here today for brunch after hearing about it on tiktok! The owner welcomed us right away and we stayed on their beautiful patio! :) our service was fantastic, we never felt rushed at all! This was one of the only places in Vancouver with reasonably priced bottomless mimosas, the food was incredible and the owner came by personally to check and see how everything was! This place is a must try and right near the harbour so you can go for a walk and see some spectacular views!!

Rude and unprofessional. Server didnt like the tip. She threw the receipt and read the tip out. It was very awkward and made us uncomfortable. Wont be coming back.

After reading the reviews, I was kind of concerned but the food looked great! I gave it a shot & I was glad I did! Food was great! Service was nice & I made sure to order my appetizer first which came quickly. Our main meal was great & desert too! I know good things take time but did not feel like this was beyond reasonable. Don t miss your chance on this wonderful experience!

Went on Mothers Day for brunch. It took 30 minutes before we could get a menu. The menu was hard to understand and they doubled the prices for the THREE things that they were serving that day. They charged us $8 for drip coffee and $36 for eggs that were not cooked the way we had ordered, a couple of potatoes and sausages and some leafy greens... Had to go somewhere else for food afterwards. Really disappointing experience.

We waited over a hour for food once we ordered......and we were the only ones there ! Even IF THE food was spectacular, this left a sour taste on the palate

I have the unfortunate experience of dining here not once , but three times. Each time, I was really hoping it would be different. And after reading the reviews I see that I am not alone. Prices are criminal for what you receive. Food tastes like its been in the fridge for 3 days. Bottles of wine are 10x the price. The general manager, or the middle aged fellow that is usually walking around, seems like a nice enough guy. May or may not have a clue whats going on around him in there. It also seems to be some kind of scam for this poor dog thats either tied up outside or left to roam around the restaurant while customers are trying to eat. Bcspca should really pay them a visit and not for lunch, thats for sure!

Cheryl our waitress helped immensely to allow our two huskies to stay outside on the tree lined patio to be with us as we dined inside. The Earl Grey Tea Latte was unique and delicious, as was the Mango Margarita (scrumptious variation of a whipped topping, and made with vodka)- yum!! The drive to the restaurant was gorgeous and the perfect ending to our trip to Vancouver. We ve already recommended JJ s to our friend visiting next month.

I found his kitchen just on my way to horseshoe bay , thought I stop for a quick lunch , the best food I have had in awhile , everything fresh, service amazing , very clean and owner Julia came to our table to make sure everything was good.

So delicious. I would highly recommend this place. Foods are great overall, The calamari and mussels are awesome. Both the meats and vegetarian platters are amazing and highly recommended to try for everyone. Great service and catering.

Delicious food with wonderful service

I celebrate my birthday party at JJ s Kitchen and it was an amazing evening and the Staff super nice and friendly and our dinner was on time and high quality and tasty and specially Alex ( waiter) he was super nice and again all the staff very professional and the environment of this restaurant super nice.

Ohh the new management. Really so many opportunities to improve Food was decent - but All the dish sauces are the same - good but the same We ordered the saffron pasta - and they were out We ordered the pistachio rack of lamb and they brought the lamb shack They offered us a free dessert (chocolate mousse or creme brullee) we picked the later and guess what . They were out It is expensive (70+ per person) for the quality and the experience A real pity - would not come back at least with this management

Visiting family in West Van and went to JJ s on a whim on a Monday night. The food and service was fabulous, the ambiance is wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Wine by the bottle was a bit pricy compared to other similar establishments but still a great experience. A hidden gem

The service was very poor, and it did not live up to the restaurants standards. The server mixed up the menus and was not available even tho the restaurant was practically empty. For this reason, I decided not to tip the server. Furthermore, he got upset with me for not tipping him and treated me with absolute disrespect. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I went to this place with my husband and few of our friends for lunch. The food was good, the waffle was stiff, dry, and yet frozen waffle They were selling HUGELY overpriced wine & food. Major turn off for us was seeing server she s older server leaving restroom without washing their hands. I wish i would have seen it before finishing my meal. Bad service at all. I ve never reviewed a restaurant before. But please do not come here. I d skip this place FOR SURE.

Had brunch here for the first time and got the Veggie Benny and Salmon Benny. Food was perfectly cooked, arrived quickly and was very tasty. I could live on those breakfast potatoes! The server was excellent, available without hovering and very professional. We will absolutely be coming back. Vegetarian options: They had several vegetarian options for brunch, which was nice to see.

We stopped by at 10:00am for breakfast on a Saturday (they open at 10:30) while on a long bike ride, and they seated us and made us a lovely breakfast of eggs, tasty sausages, toast and hash browns. The service was fabulous and friendly, despite our disruption of their opening work. So grateful!

I ll let my photo of their burger which is valued at $25 on the menu, do the speaking. Spend the extra 5 mins driving to park royal earls/ cactus / taphouse. This place is a pure scam. EDIT: in response to your reply, the burger is listed at $25 on the menu, not $15. Regardless, I wouldn t step foot into that disgusting establishment ever again, nor feed my dog any food cooked by your restaurant, keep your free burger and let s see how long you remain in business for.

Perfect food

went out with my family and they were able to provide a kids menu for the younger ones, the service was stunning and the food is not to be beat anywhere else. presentation is everything and jjs kitchen was able to live up to that. chefs are super nice and the surroundings are clean and friendly. definitely should check out especially on the live music nights on wednesday and saturday. Vegetarian options: plenty to offer Dietary restrictions: vegan and vegetarian options, able to accommodate to anyone. Parking: 10 Kid-friendliness: the patio is perfect for kids, they also offer a kids menu and the garden is perfect for kids to play in Wheelchair accessibility: very accessible in main dining area

Off the beaten path but worth the trip. I ve been back multiple times. I ve tried something different each time and have enjoyed everything. Great food and friendly service. Surprisingly good espresso too!

Food was good, service was pleasant and attentive, but the prices were exorbitant for what it was. More than the price of a bottle of wine, for a glass. Given location in a neighbourhood along marine drive, and a nice space but lacking an ocean view, it would be nice to have more casual items available on the dinner menu. I was going to order the caesar salad with chicken, but couldn t bring myself to order a $37 chicken caesar. We ordered, food came out in a reasonable time, and we enjoyed it, but based purely on the ridiculously over priced menu, I won t return.

I wasnt expecting anything fabulous but ended leaving with a very favorable impression. The food was good, service too. The restaurant is very nice and has would be a great summer place with good patio space. Will definitely go back.

The daily beer and burger promo is a ridiculously good deal. Maybe the best offer in Vancouver. Nothing is skimped on, it tasted amazing and should be worth at least twice the price. Service and atmosphere is charming. Great place!

It was a nice quiet morning and my partner wanted to take me out for breakfast. It was a surprise he said. So I was surprised that it was here! I ve been wanting to try this place out and it s just a few minutes drive away. Also it s right across from the marina where we had our boat Dry docked there once. I ve driven by here so many times. So I was happy to come in. I got the vegetarian eggs Benny, eggs soft and it came with fresh fruit and potatoes. But for us the best was the Mac n cheese balls. We both loved them. However, I wish it came with one more piece. Of course I brought my own hot sauce which made this perfect for my tastes. I hope to come here more for weekend breakfasts .

Incredible food. So fresh. The staff is all so friendly, everyone smiles and says hello to you, they have a family/team vibe. Rambo the owner is nothing but a legend. His energy alone is worth going in to eat. The Head chef offered to make me a Mac n cheese ball to sample before we left..seriously so kind. Secluded gem in west van. This restaurant has an easy going decor and vibe that will satisfy a wide range of dining expectations. The menu is as varied as the setting, offering options for a quick appy up to a full multi-course meal. I opted for the the beer and burger special for a quick lunch. The burger was fabulous, just the right size for lunch, the beer pairing was fantastic. I will make a point of going there when ever I am visiting in the area

Congratulations to Julia and Rambod for running this amazing business. By far the best food I have ever had in the Lo Mainland. We heard about their calamari s and chicken wings through our friends and we drove almost 45 minutes to get to the restaurant. And oh my God it was so so worth it. The staff was extra friendly and the owner and management made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience is amazing

Best cocktail of my life

We visited in mid-August 2022 and sat on the patio. We were there in earlier than dinner time, at about 5pm and were the only ones there. There were three other groups which turned up about 40 minutes later or so. Food was not bad but not amazing. Serving size was good for appetizers and mains.

Rambod the General Manager is truly the most charming, handsome man I have ever seen, we had a party of 40 where they hosted in their VIP heated patio for us. he greeted us with the most genuine smile and the owner Julia also came to ensure everything goes perfect. Their location is truly perfect and JJs food is honestly something anyone needs to eat. I have never seen prawns so big and fresh and their steak was absolutely perfect. The staff was extremely kind and sweet. This is going to be out new regular spot. Thanks for everything JJ s kitchen

Super friendly and welcoming staff with an absolutely beautiful restaurant and location. Had some drinks and the fish and chips. Drinks were great with a wide selection and the Fish and Chips were excellent, nice and crispy, good portion and a delicious House made tartar sauce. We will be back!

Iconic!

Amazon staff and food, no denials but they need to sort out their receipt and not being able to add names of drinks is something you expect from a motel in Romania. We had great time but seating 15 min to sort this mess was a waste of time.

Beautiful place and atmosphere. Staff was warm and accommodating. Calamari was amazing. Manager came to see that everything was ok which is a classy touch.

Where do I even begin. If I could give this place 0 stars out of 5, I would. This was undoubtedly one of the worst dining experiences I ve ever had due to the abysmal service, which was a shame as we went here for a special occasion. For starters, we were seated by a rather unfriendly staff member. We then waited well over an hour for our food, which was followed by a nearly 40 minute wait to get our bill. The food itself was okay but, as others have mentioned in previous reviews, most of our food was either cold or lukewarm. The staff seemed unfazed by the poor service, and at times our server even appeared perturbed and apathetic when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the situation. At one point a guy who seemed to be in charge came over to try to appease us, but this just added to our frustration. Although he apologized, he only offered us a gift card for our next visit. That s not helpful, I never want to return here. Ever. Secondly, he didn t follow this up by addressing with his staff at the time where the breakdowns were happening and ensuring that the rest of our dining experience was positive. Nope, we were left to fend for ourselves. I know this because he immediately returned to sitting and socializing with his friends at a nearby table for the entire duration of our stay. It was actually confusing..was he even working, or just hanging out with his buddies? To add to the mess of it all, his or someone else s rather large dog was at one point roaming the restaurant off leash. Not ideal when you have a young child trying to stretch her legs while waiting for food and you don t know how friendly this big dog is. Oh, and did I mention that the restaurant was nearly empty? Yup. They seemed busy with takeout and guessing that s where the kitchen was directing their energy. Needless to say, I do not recommend this restaurant, which is unfortunate as it s in a great location. Should you absolutely must go, especially if you are a human who gets hungry, have children, or simply value your time, it would behoove you to bring snacks..and patience..lots of patience.

An utterly unpleasant experience. While the food was satisfactory the service was absolutely slow and inattentive. The staff seemed inexperienced and confused. We waited for an hour to get our food and the restaurant was not at all busy. This is the first review I ve ever submitted. I felt compelled because we chose this restaurant for a family event based on the good reviews. It was such a disappointing experience, any highway diner would be a much better choice. Do yourself a favour and save your money and more importantly your time. This restaurant is a waste of a great location. To summarize: - long wait for food and another lengthy wait for the bill - mediocre food at high prices - blizzard encounters with management - gave us 50% off vouchers (don t worry we won t be back) - confused and inexperienced staff There are much better options

JJs has such a welcoming, clean and classy atmosphere with wonderful, attentive staff. The service is incredible, just like the menu selection and the food. Definitely recommend stopping in!

We stopped in on our way back to Delta from Squamish. It is a really cool place tucked away in West Vancouver across from the tach club. The staff were wonderful. It s a lovely atmosphere. I had the seafood pasta and it was the best sauce I have ever had! I highly recommend ordering it! I wasn t sure about bringing our 2 young children but they were so welcoming and my son wants to go back there for his 8th birthday! He shared the appetizer platter with my husband and they loved it! Parking: Easy parking across the road. Kid-friendliness: They were great with our kids!
