West vancouver omakase restaurant
Found a nice Japanese restaurant that has good fo od and nice service. The chairs were a little bit wobbly. I had the Asari Miso soup 🍲, Nigiri Tobiko, Sunset Roll and the Salmon box .when I wanted more Tobiko they brang it out really fast. Super friendly servers. I will visit here again for sure! 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣
We were there for early dinner for the first time. Tried different foods, drink and everything was good. Servers are nice and friendly. Design of the place is nice and my son for the first time tried seaweed, egg rolls, Gyoza… it is kids friendly and I would highly recommend them. 🙂
I was passing by Raku and ordered take out to enjoy on a hot sunny summer day. Great food and I saw comfortable inside and patio seating.
I enjoyed the food here; ordered the Philadelphia Roll and it was good. The only thing I didn't like was that they charge an 18% service charge for tables over 6 people (we had a table of 7).
Relatively expensive for the potions but the taste and freshness makes it worthwhile. The high hairs weren't that clean and the service was just ok. As a vegetarian I highly recommend the veggie caterpillar roll, the avocado roll and the yam roll. I wasn't a huge fan of the other vegetarian special rolls; one had okra (which I wouldn't ever want in a sushi roll), the other had no cooked rice and tasted rather bland like a salad without dressing.
We went here for my birthday without reservations. We waited for about 15 min before being seated. Our server was very attentive, and overall service was great. They serve green tea which many Japanese restaurants have stopped doing. The food quality was outstanding, and the dishes were described accurately on the menu. Aburi sushi was beautifully assembled and tasted balanced. No need to use the soy sauce as each roll was full of flavour. Unique items and beautiful presentation 🍣
Raku Japanese Kitchen in West Vancouver is an absolute gem. This restaurant has consistently delivered an outstanding dining experience every time I've visited. The food is not just tasty; it's a culinary delight that leaves your taste buds dancing with joy. Their commitment to using fresh ingredients is evident in every dish. Whether it's the perfectly sliced sashimi or the expertly crafted sushi rolls, you can taste the quality in every bite. But it's not just about the food; the service here is top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and they're always ready to provide recommendations if you're unsure what to order. Raku Japanese Kitchen is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's my go-to spot for Japanese cuisine in town, and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience, look no further than Raku Japanese Kitchen.
The sushi selection at this place is undeniably delicious, showcasing a range of flavors that truly impress. However, I did notice that the portion of salad provided was rather modest, leaving a bit to be desired in terms of quantity. Additionally, while the sushi shines, I did encounter a slight disappointment in the freshness of the accompanying salad. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend trying out their sushi series – it's where their culinary expertise truly shines. With some improvements in the salad department, this spot could easily become a go-to destination for sushi enthusiasts seeking a delightful dining experience.
None of the food we ordered was not authentic and not tasty
We absolutely love this restaurant for our family outings, especially when were craving Japanese food! The delicious meals, friendly service, and warm atmosphere always make for a fantastic experience.
My favourite sushi restaurant at Ambleside. Food is great quality, the staff are friendly and the service is quite fast. Definitely recommend
THIS UNI DON IS SSSSOOOO GOOOD! P3&P4: Crispy oshi & BEEF YAKIUDON!
Although we arrived late, but the service and food was amazing. The taste and food design was amazing compared to other places. Strongly suggested!
Had a few different sushi rolls. All of them were absolutely delicious! Certainly recommend.
Love this place, our favorite more upscale sushi restaurant on the North Shore. Have to try there Snow White roll.
Or, how about you dont open on Doordash if you cant handle the extra volume instead of wasting peoples time. This is basically telling people to leave after being seated because you decides after the fact that youre too busy to seat more. The food is good, but theyve lost my business. This cancellation was actually a massive inconvenience that delayed our dinner by an hour. You cant play this game selling sushi, there are more sushi joints than Starbucks now.
Food always fresh and good server are very polite and friendly and caring the atmosphere is always fantastic
It was a horrible experience, I would never go back. I went with my family and friends, they brought our food very late and one plate at a time. Basically we couldn t eat at the same time. The kids food came last. It was aweful experience. We also got stomachache after so not sure how fresh was the food
Food was incredible and the vibe inside was just perfect. The service by Wayne was fantastic, making the experience even more memorable. Felt like regular and was treated with warmth and respect. Ill come back with my family next time and try more of what Wayne recommends!!
Thanks to Wayne for excellent customer service - Raku never disappoints.
Good place for a brunch or a late night dinner! Not cheap( just like any other sushi restaurant in Vancouver) but worth a try Food
The udon lunch box was terrific. Fresh and delicious. Good service!
Love the food
The food was good and no complaints about the food quality. However we were forced to pay 25% tips because we had a group of 14. Honestly before you took us to the table, we should be informed in advance about the tips. The normal tips for group of 8 or above is just 18% to 20% and we are happy to give more if the service is good. However given the attitude you demonstrated, I was forced to pay more than 25%, which wasnt fair at all. Hope you can inform the customer in advance about your tips policy. Somehow I cant reply on your comments but it happened on Mar 22, 2023 and we were visiting for lunch. However I am not planning to get the refund but Id suggest to improve your service and train your staff on tips policy.
There is the best Japanese restaurant in West Van. Great!
Great food will definitely be coming back! Best Japanese Ive had in Canada Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian options Food : 5/5 |
Delicious sushi with variety of fresh options. Service is not superior as you would expect. Food
Very long pick up times and staff are not organized and take a long time preparing the order although everything was ready.
Came here once and loved the interior, not what you expect for japanese restaurants. really cool, Had some soild vegetarian options.
Rolls are more expensive than the average but worth it for the flavours, quality and presentation. I have only ordered the chicken roll but I received friendly service when I came to pick it up, and really enjoyed the food! It is definitely a more elevated Japanese sushi and cuisine. Will most certainly be back to try more things on the menu!
Hands down, the best Japanese restaurant in Vancouver. I cannot recommend it enough!
Not bad for a casual late lunch. Sashimi here is quite fresh.
Not a bad place. Like, not bad. But it do feel really expensive for the food and atmosphere.
Great sushi!!
Very nice restaurant with large menu options. Excellent aburi sushi and grilled lamb. Good service! Definitely would like to come back.
Pretty good. Enjoyed it very much. Will definitely come back.
Good quality sushi, good variety of dishes, not everywhere will take the time to make good beef tataki, but they did!
Food was good. However before we had even finished our lunch, the server brought the machine to run our credit cards. We were surprised and a little annoyed as we hadn t even been there for an hour. While I still had tea to finish in my cup a few minutes later, we were informed that someone else was waiting for our table! We were stunned and left, feeling very unwelcome there as first time customers. (It was just over an hour and there was a vacant table near us.) Will not return and suggest that if you are looking for a relaxing lunchtime spot, go somewhere else, where your business is appreciated.
Our favorite sushi restaurant in west vancouver. Good service and excellent food.
These guys were in such a rush to get us out immediately after we finished eating, that they cleared our drinks before we d finished drinking them. I ve never had this happen to me before. I also ordered their tuna don, and it was ~half the size of any other portion I ve had on the north shore, but $5 more expensive. Would not recommend.
Food and presentation are amazing. Flavors are very unique and not like your average Japanese restaurant. On the pricier side but definitely worth it.
Chirashi don is really good, must go with a sake
delicious food and good service
Creative japanese cuisine
Beautiful place with quality service. Food was fresh and nice, looked beautiful, but was lacking taste. Chicken Teriyaki tasted better than the sushi rolls
Very polite and friendly staff. Food was great. Food
Ordered take out on April 29. Asked deliberately if they added soy sauce. After opening the package there wasn t any soy sauce. Returned to the restaurant and all they did was gave me 10 packs of soy sauce and a bunch more ginger that I simply had to throw out. Food was good, service was not.
Our favourite Japanese restaurant on the North Shore.
We ordered bunch of special rolls and they were tasty and fresh. The staff were professional and quick in preparing orders
Dining environment is good 5 star. Food is good too a bit pricey. Service is good and food served fast.
5 star worth! The price, sincerity, and taste are also at a master level. Only one things I confused that staffs fast working pace which makes me wanna finish the dinner as soon as possible. Still, its not a waste of 5 stars!
Super fast and delicious food
Yup notch menu - amazing selection, beautifully prepared. Fast service by nice waitstaff. Let me state that I dont eat a lot of sushi but I am happy when I do. I was blown away by the different styles available at Raku and was totally impressed. This is not a fast food sushi house, it is a full dining experience. It is a fast paced environment that you want to stay in to have more - more food, more action, more checking out the room. The prices were a bit higher than I expected when I thought of sushi but when I entered the restaurant I could see how they suited the place. I recommend this restaurant when you want to impress and be impressed.
Excellent true Japanese place, take the chirashi deluxe with black rice if you enjoy seafood.
Good clean food. Friendly servers. Way easy for parking. Huge menu. Vegan friendly
Honestly, slay Food, service, atmosphere and staff were all great! A must visit plus the staff are so nice they even give water to the customers dog. Food
The food was incredible. Some of the best sushi I have had. Small portions but very high quality
Nice atmosphere, very friendly staffs, and of course great food.
I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with their pet policy. Despite having dined with our dog at other establishments in the area, the staff informed us that dogs were not allowed outside due to government rules. We kindly explained our previous experiences, but the response we received was rude and dismissive. We even asked if we could keep our dog inside a box while dining outside, but the request was met with refusal and a negative attitude from the staff. This was a stark departure from our experiences at other restaurants in Vancouver, where we were warmly welcomed with our furry companion. It was disheartening to encounter such an unfriendly attitude and lack of accommodation for pet owners. However, we were pleased to find that the restaurant next door Earls in west vancouver welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to enjoy our meal alongside our dog. Their friendly and accommodating approach made us feel valued as customers and pet owners.
Jay Z Roll was superb.
I got the vegetable udon and a BC roll. The veggie udon didnt have much flavour but was pretty good and the BC roll was very good The atmosphere, cutlery and dishes are just amazing at this place. Would definitely recommend this spot :)
Perfect
A bit pricy with small portions! Service is really good and staff are friendly! The Alaska roll wasn t the best Alaska I have tried but the Fried California roll was really good!
I ve been here two or three times and I enjoy the food every time. I recommend.
Raku holds a special place among the array of restaurants we explore in West Vancouver. It has become one of our go-to spots, consistently delivering a delightful dining experience. One of the key factors that sets Raku apart is its commitment to using fresh ingredients, which is evident in the vibrant flavors of their dishes. The attentive and friendly service provided by the staff adds to the overall enjoyment. What truly captivates me about Raku is its captivating interior design, characterized by a strikingly high ceiling that adds a sense of grandeur and spaciousness to the dining area. It creates an ambiance that is both sophisticated and welcoming, making each visit an immersive experience. When it comes to the menu, my taste buds dance with joy at the mention of their delectable lamb chops. The succulent, perfectly cooked meat, infused with flavors that make every bite a delight, is a true testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs at Raku. Additionally, their deluxe sashimi don is a work of art, featuring a medley of the freshest and finest sashimi cuts that melt in your mouth, accompanied by an assortment of complementary ingredients that elevate the dish to a symphony of flavors. Raku has undoubtedly become a cherished destination for us, a place where we savor not only the exceptional food but also the overall dining experience. It comes as no surprise that I wholeheartedly recommend Raku to anyone seeking a memorable culinary journey in West Vancouver.
I am
Great sushi spot. Nice atmosphere, delicious food.
This is my favourite sushi spot on the North Shore. Lots of good stuff here.
ONE rude waitress ruined it. Denied my stroller being in next to the table in the rudest way, almost felt like she was yanking the stroller away. Asked why our set didnt come with miso soup and she said the udon soup is the soup, without the thought crossing her mind that they arent... the same. Mind you, we got 3 other sets off the SAME lunch menu under the same submenu which ALL came with miso soup. She forgot our utensils after dropping off two sets of food. And when KOREAN was suddenly spoken to her, she suddenly had a change in her vibe, hospitality towards us. The other staff members were fine, but this lady had some beef with us even when its our first time there. Im not asking to be treated like royalty, were reasonable people. Nice washrooms, wish the toilet seat lid stayed up, decent food, dynamite combo is terribly overpriced.
The food is good but soon as it gets busy they forget orders. Takes extremely long and quality goes down tremendously.
The sushi was great! I m also getting used to SF prices and I think it was VERY good price for value. We got a lot of us for the four of us. We did the omakase (4 people), a daily special of Hirame, veggie tempura, Snow White roll, salmon hosomaki, a sushi combo and a deluxe chirashi don. Omakase fishes: otoro, toro, salmon belly, bluefin tuna, hamachi, shiraji (might have spelt this wrong), madai - toro was actually my favourite, might just be a preference - I feel like hamachi was soso, but it s also been going down for years Deluxe chirashi: arguably better deal than omakase; fishes: otoro, madai, hamachi, red tuna (May have been bluefin), uni (sea urchin), squid, ikura (salmon fish roe), madai, salmon, cooked shrimp, a mystery fish and prolly other things I forgot Snow White roll: actually it was a rice less option, which we weren t expecting. Still pretty good though! Makes me think of the Korean haedupbap. They also gave us some tako sunomono on the house!
Very fresh and delicious food. Every. Single. Time.
Lots of delicious sushi options. The sockeye salmon nigiri and miso soup were especially great. They also have a variety of dishes for people who don t like raw fish. Very accommodating staff, would go back.
Really fresh seafood at a reasonable price point.
Great sushi place! Lots of variety and the fish is fresh. Friendly staff and great service.
Always fresh and delicious. Service never disappoints either!
Amazing Cuisine and Service! Wanu and staff gave Service Excellence! We will definately be back, thank you!
My family went to this restaurant today Best food and friendly service was provided thank you
We have a great time!!! Love it
Good looking lunch menu though we opted to try sushi this time! Indoor seating was limited but quite comfortable. For sushi quality and selection/ variety, I would rate them 2- 3 stars.
Amazing place, excellent meals and service
Super delicious and unique sushi! Awesome service. Very clean place and elegantly decorated.
Great service. Our waitress offered me a blanket because I was feeling cold - we were sitting indoors. I love it when we find authentic Japanese restaurants where the staff are Japanese and speak Japanese with us. It feels so natsukashii... The sashimi we had was beautiful and high quality.
High quality fresh fish. perfectly seasoned and portioned rice. Must try the daily special.
My new best sushi place !
By far the best sushi I had in my life. What the presentation, jeez it is like out of a catalogue. Definitely going back !
One of my favorites, food, service and ambience
Nice cozy restaurant. Very well maintained washroom
Nice service but beef teriyaki is unflavored.
High quality ingredients and the level of service is quite good. One of the few places that has real wasabi
Great quality food
Wonderful experience. Thank you Kai and the restaurant staff for your service!
Unexpected gem at a reasonable price. Great quality and service
Happy Lunch time
So so delicious and the plating is very elegant. Wonderful friendly meal
Our order was ready in 30. The sushi was fresh and delicious. We ordered the party platter B for 2 of us and it was the perfect amount. Plenty of ginger, wasabi and soy sauce accompanied it. Great selection! We will be back.
The food is great. But the service, outrageously sassy for dinner they gave us last call at 8:30pm, immediately followed by bills, demanded cc, then high beamed the lights at 9pm opening the doors to shuffle us out lunch is probably fine though.
Food quality was good. I think the taste levels are a bit above average. I feel like the pricing is a little high for what you get. Im not sure what this restaurant has to offer at this price point besides slightly elevated food quality. Service was fine. Interior design felt a little unnecessarily flashy.
I rarely write review but this time I have to say something about the food quality in Raku. I tried lamb chop which had no lamb flavour at all. Sashimi were fine. Just want to remind other customers try not to order their lamb as you will not know what you have been eating for. It is weird that lamb had no flavor. I told the server to check with the chef. I hope they will improve the food quality in future. It is unacceptable.
We just moved to the neighbourhood and this was our first time visiting Raku. The place is fantastic. Super fresh sushi with great selection and many creative dishes. Very fast and very very friendly service. We look forward to making Raku a regular visit for our family.
Lovely place for dine in sushi. However, wouldn t recommend it for other dishes or take away (my experience at least is that food wasn t great and they prepared the wrong stuff)
Great food and even better service! Highly recommended
Amazing food and hospitality, will definitely come back.
filled water glass half way up, only brought one water glass for a table of 4, 17 dollars for a roll of 4 slices. dropped the receipt machine on my food i was taking to go. worst service ever, WAY over priced for the food you get. food was absolutely awful for the price you pay, i was starving and couldn t even finish it. never coming back and wouldn t recommend to anyone.
Very, very good blue fin otoro. Nice house sake as well. They have a large list of special rolls, but I wasnt as impressed as I was with the nigiri -- their fish is whats excellent.
I went this restaurant with my niece who was visiting me from Japan. This place is nearly new so I was excited. Restaurant itself was clean, bright n open but I felt this is not Japanese food restaurant like using previous restaurant without renovation. We set inside n got menu but the server left us about 15 min( btw place wasn t busy n had 3 servers) so I had to ask her to come n took order.... My niece ordered Oyakodon. I ordered karaage n salmon don. Karaage n salmon don were ok , not impressive but edible not fishy. Oyakodon... oh my... its not oyakodon... its like bbq chicken with egg n mashroom. Taste fine but my niece was really disappointed bc it was not authentic. I was so sad to choose this place bc I wanted her to taste good Canada s Japanese food. I should be gone to Zen. Price was reasonable but I won t be back. Around there has lots better sushi place( like zen, kin n bene I like kin bc cost performance n service are great). Updated, today I went this restaurant again to see any improvement from last visit. Service was good. Food was okish not impressive for price and location. Top on that, terrible thing their soy sauce . Idk they added water?????? Extremely thin texture and colour was light. And no taste-_- idk they gave me low sodium ver.. anyway I am really disappointed again . I guess Me n this place wont match ever lol
Yep. Doordash this joint on a regular basis. Please keep up the good work!
Nice location with good vibe. Could be considered as an upscaled sushi place. Food is good and prices are still reasonable. The service is something they can improve though. Staff could be nicer or at least smile :) Everyone is so serious but service is good
Bah bah bah
Excellent service, delicious food & beverages, and friendly staff! The atmosphere was also very welcoming and pleasant. Definitely recommend.
Great place with unique rolls. Tty the Mexican Knight!
Resonable prices for bento
Very good value for money!
Absolutely amazing Japanese food one of the best around. Definitely worth the nice trip to West Vancouver. Then go for a nice walk along the seawall and path along the ocean.
Excellent food. They were quite busy so it took a while to take our order. Despite the wait, would visit again.
I do not recommend this place. We ordered for takeout then decided to stay last minute so we sat outside. The waitress had the decency to tell us to leave because we ordered takeout instead of dining in. Sorry but that s not customer service and totally rude. I will not be going back. Food was ok.
Raku is one of the newest additions to WestVancouver. This beautiful Japanese kitchen not only offers great food, but also a wonderful service in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Very classy yet relax. This is a great spot for families with younger children. The host and hostess are very kind and accommodating. My kids love the rice with Karaage chicken and I love their Oshi menu.
Check this place out!! The ingredients were so fresh, firm, and delicious. The service was smack on point. Beautiful building. Great everything. Got 4 because it was end of the day and the rolls were slightly loose, end of the day is when I got there. Honestly a Vert fine establishment. Ill be back for sure!
Really good price for the quality. Nice interior
nice food! highly recommended
The sushi here was to die for!!!
food was absolutely delicious and the staff there were incredibly nice would definitely go there again
Ordered our meal through door dash. When the meal arrived I realized the missed the chicken Karrage even though it was on my door dash order. Called the restaurant and asked them to cook one and drop it off. They said they were too busy and couldn t. I instead drove down to the restaurant and they offered to comp the kaarage. I suggested they provide a credit for the not only the Karrage but also the cost of the door dash ( delivery fee, service fee, and tip) which in total came out to approx $30. I thought this was fair especially since I had to take time out of my day to drive and pick up my food. They said they don t do credits and offered me $20 instead. Not to mention the manager didn t even come out to apologize. Worst customer service ever. Will never order dine here instead. If anything goes wrong don t expect this restaurant to try and make this better
Tried making a reservation for a party of 7 people and specifically requested outdoor seating. Staff confirmed that was fine but told us outdoor seating was first come first serve. When we arrived the outdoor area was almost empty but one of the servers told us that there wasn t enough room for us to sit together and that we would need to be split into two parties the area was close to empty and two other staff members thought there was plenty of room and even rearranged the tables to accommodate us. But the server we initially spoke with got upset and made them move the tables back . We didn t end up eating there given the poor initial experience. Overall, I wouldn t recommend this place for large groups and anyone looking for good service.
Excellent service and excellent food. We found the menu creative and delicious. High quality sushi rolls we could savour
Great lunch spot on the Vancouver to Whistler drive, sea to sky. Went to Capilano bridge pre lunch and found this spot on the way to Whistler. Good sushi, very efficient service. Beef gyozas were delicious.
This was the perfect picnic lunch! Fresh and delicious, my whole family was happy.
good food good service. price is a bit high
Really solid sushi. Slow service.
Excellent EVERYTHING, toro great, sushi rolls were fantastic and service was prompt and excellent
Good food (I m not GF). But they struggled with gluten free for my spouse. Do not recommend if you are celiac.
Nice and clean environment and great food! Ordered snow white roll, 24k roll, and nabeyaki udon, and they were all balanced well, fresh and delicious! We especially loved snow white roll and will definitely go there again to try other rolls
Great sushi, good atmosphere, fast service
The ingredients are really fresh, the portions are generous, and the store environment is very comfortable. Especially the service. It was our first time to go there. Cali s smile and patient introduction to us in Chinese were really considerate. The boss is also very nice. Maybe because he saw us discussing with our children what dishes to order next time, he even gave us a plate of grilled sea bream. Thank you very much!
It was good testing sushi, but quality of sushi ,how it was made like in cheap sushi places. 2cm of nori on salmon avocado roll without rice, and cut not even.
Friendly staff and clean kitchen
Staff is truly friendly. The sushi seemed pricy compared to its quality.
The best Japanese food I have ever had! I would rate this place more than 5 stars if I could! This is a place I would recommend to anyone and I next time I m in Vancouver, it will be on my list to stop by again. Great service, quick preparation and friendly service!
Not bad for swing by. I will try Sushi and Sashimi next time. Order Udon and Fried pork cutlet. Udon soup was too sweet and Donkatsu was little bit wet cuz of putting in the too high temperature oil. Food
Love this place, the take out was fantastic!
Love it here! Its my new favorite spot. The food is amazing and the staff are the nicest people amd provide great service. Its such a no rush atmosphere and the night can easily get away from you when dining here with good company!
Great service
Food and service is great, I love this place
I suddenly decided to spend the weekend eating out at a Japanese restaurant. I found out that this restaurant had an omakase menu and decided to give it a try. The meal for $75 per person was worth $150, which made me feel like I was blessed by the god of luck this weekend. Don t try it easily if you have a small appetite
Best Sushi place in West Vancouver, very clean, great service and quality
delicious and great service. They care food quality and creativity. Should try , especially nigiri sushi and chicken karage
Good restaurants
- Nova Scotia roll, dragon roll, saba sashimi, nicely balanced tastes, very fresh, and good selective lemon marinading, good attention to about of crunchiness in each roll - beef sashimi, marinade good but beef taste a bit lost - chicken udon, my 95 year old father liked it alot and finished it. The egg was cooked perfectly, impressive - Katsu-don, nicely cooked, egg a bit overdone, ask them to add the egg cooked the same way as in the chicken udon
We popped in here off the street biking without any real expectations and were really pleasantly surprised. There are interesting Japanese items on the menu that I dont commonly see here like ume and natto. The saba oshi sushi was amazing, as was the tuna nigiri. Everything the perfect size, the fish fresh and flavourful and the rice done just right. Serving staff were prompt and friendly. We dont live anywhere near the area but will surely be back.
We really like coming here great food
Its no cheap, but its really good.
Nice patio and okeish sushi- depends on their mood sometimes I ll get a ton of rice falling off the rolls, sometimes the rice is dryer than you would want it to be.. I guess it was a great getaway for Covid due to patio
Wonderful place to eat!!
Pretty place with delicious food and reasonable price.
Great service, friendly employees, with big smiles. Of course delicious food. Thank you
Delicious as always.
Thanks for the complimentary tea, Sushi was just okay, Sashimi was good, but the Japanese cheesecake was as if they forgot to put cheese in it, maybe they actually did, because it had absolutely no cheese, let s call that the Japanese dish-sponge.
Super tasty sushi. Try the Sudhi combos with chefs choices
Great food and service. Sushi was delicious and fresh. I also love the ambience and interior design. Would return if Im in Vancouver again!
Amazing food , Amazing service!!
I liked the environment. If I remember correctly we ordered a combo A and a black mountain roll which we liked. I liked the black mountain more.
Very happy owners and staff. Good lamb and sushi. Better restaurant here than Minami.
Great taste, service and interior.
A year ago I had previously given this restaurant a 5 star review thanks to its unbelievable food and service. My partern and I have been back 4 times since and the service has declined dramatically. Each time Ive been back we have been given our bill and have been asked to leave ...... weve both worked in restaurants and consider ourselves very easy going dinners not to mention we spend 200$ minimum each time were there. Getting asked to leave while there is no waitlist and while other people are still eating is unacceptable. Im sorry but I will never go back to raku due to their horrible service.
Excellent place for sushi, upscale looking and cute decor!I had a couple places on my list to try and I am glad I ended up.going here This was so delicious and device was great. Picture is the dynamite roll which was of amble size and has 2 prawn pieces in it compares to the usual one.only complaint would be the chopped scallop wasnt quite as tasty as Ive had. Plating was very nice especially if the Sashimi. Covid protocols were followed. Interior is chic, prices were affordable , with tip total came to $28
Nice atmosphere, very friendly staffs, and of course great food. Sashimi was very fresh, and sushi (both roll and nigiri) were excellent. Sushi rice was well cooked and marinated. I specially enjoyed Oshi Sushi, aka Zushi - Osaka style Sushi. Tempura was nice as well.
Awesome sushi - always fresh and delicious - only thing is sometimes they mess up orders, long wait times and missing chop sticks or soy sauces- still our go to place in spite of all of it - definitely recommended
Not bad food and good service.
Tasteful food with amazing service thank you
Its so delicious. The price, sincerity, and taste are also the best. One disadvantage is that working people are not kind.Im thinking about eating quickly and coming out. Still, its not a waste of 5 stars because it tastes like a sushi master. I cant stop thinking because its sushi.
Awesome japanese restaurant
Awesome Japanese food!
Good lunch menu. Nice service. And all employees are continuously masked :)
Nice spot and friendly staff
Great lunch menu!!! Delicious and very good value for money.
Nice patio! Food is good with reasonable price.
Good food and selection
Great spot. Casual yet elegent. Tuna stack and oshi rolls are awesome. Spicey agadashi a must have.
good menu with Black rice options
Their Sushi is amazing
Bonus points for having a lovely outdoor patio with blankets and heaters! Service was prompt and food was good.
Absolutely love this place. Nicest people and the best sushi on the North Shore without a doubt. They are super sweet with kids.Thank you Raku!
Solid sushi for west van.
Looked for a West Van Sushi restaurant on a whim after getting off the ferry; to wait out rush hour. Chose this one because of a review that read Ive had a lot of sushi and this place was the best Ive ever had - so that made our minds up. Wow - he was spot on the money!!, we agree. Amazing menu, amazing service and the tuna and Eel was EASILY the best we have EVER had. Lastly, the Oshi is a must try.
GOOD PLACE TO HAVE GREAT TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS ENJOYING SUSHI AND WESTERN STYLE COMFORT DINNER SERVED ON THE HOT PLATE.
