This is my favourite sushi place. Everyone there super welcoming. The food always tastes super fresh. I go there at least once a week. I recommend this place for all my friends 😊
Seriously, the best sushi I’ve ever had. The staff is so nice. The food is made quickly. Everything is super fresh. it’s quite affordable. I’m surprised there’s not a line out the door. This place is amazing.
Wow! The quality of their food is unbeatable! The portions are generous, and the free parking is a great bonus. I love their sushi and, on top of that, the way they treat their customers is exceptional. Believe me, you should go there and experience their warm welcome for yourself. Kin Sushi, you are amazing—keep up the great work!🤞
The tiny shop in a corner of an inconspicuous plaza is easy to miss, but the food should not be ignored. It’s simply tasty. Importantly, they have quite a few vegetarian options.
Stumbled into this hidden gem when searching for nearby sushi place when we arrived earlier than expected for a doctors appointment in the area. We weren't disappointed! The restaurant is very small and only has a few tables, but luckily we got a seat 5 minutes after arriving. Food came out fast, fresh and very appealing to the eye. Great menu, tasty food, with great prices! No complaints here! We will be returning!
Overall, the food is not bad, and the waiter is very welcoming. But nothing too special compared to other restaurants. The food is a little bit too expensive, but it could be cheap too. Not bad if you happen to come across and want to get something quick wouldn’t recommend just to come.
Kin Sushi - A Delightful Experience! I recently dined at Kin Sushi in West Vancouver and had an absolutely delightful experience. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming, with a warm ambiance that makes you feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. The menu offers a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. I highly recommend trying their signature rolls – they are both creative and delicious! The fish was fresh and the presentation was beautiful. We also enjoyed some of their hot dishes, which were equally impressive. Overall, Kin Sushi is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Japanese cuisine in a relaxed and friendly setting. I will definitely be returning soon!
It’s my first time here. The small and neat restaurant vibe, the elegant presentation of each plate and such a friendly attention, I loved everything. It’s a perfect spot for lunch or dinner after shopping at the Park Royal. While you’re here, you must try the croquette and the sashimi don. All ingredients were so fresh and tasted so healthy and delicious. I’m not a big fan of fried food but the croquette here got the crispy texture out of the world, not oily at all. I will come back to try some rolls too next time.
Great food, quality, value and service. We sat in which is small, but pleasant. Looks like they do a ton of take our for good reason.
The very best sushi, on the north shore or anywhere! Always a smile from the staff and always great cheer when walking thru the door. Parking: Never been a problem ands I go often! Kid-friendliness: Always welcoming kids and families. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access
Good food, good service, good price! What more could you want, I had 3 rolls for $22 including tip! Food : 5/5
The server was great, we went there with 3 little kids and we were a lot of work for her. She handled everything with a smile. The food was perfect. Thank you.
modest sushi place... great food
Loved their sashimi! We had take out and had a sushi platter and extra sashimi! Everything was great! Their sashimi are really fresh and really tasty! The service is kind and quick! Will definitely return!
Hoedeopbab was so delicious! The owner and staff were so friendly and it was so delicious! Especially the rolls were fantastic! The main chef is so handsome :) Recognized as the best restaurant in Vancouver
Super friendly staff, great service and good food. Doesnt break the bank either.
Great local sushi spot if youre in the area between Dundarave and Ambleside. Quick. Very friendly. Really great for young families with kids.
Very inappropriate and rude behavior and very bad management and bad food quality. I do not recommend anyone to try this restaurant
Great quality sushi and wonderful service at reasonable prices. We ordered several combos to share and loved everything. The quality of the fish was great. Hope to be back again!
Nice food, pleasant staff . Portions are a bit smaller than Im used to. Food : 4/5
We only do takeout since the shop is so small but the food and the pricing is fantastic! The only place on the Shore info for sushi.
Kin Sushi Restaurant visited on a rainy afternoon The store is cozy too. Eat it with your eyes, eat it with your taste The clean taste of Korean food Its totally awesome The owner and staff are all friendly. I keep thinking about coming back This is a store When you think of sushi, when youre hungry Please visit us together.
Today is the 20th day since I traveled from Korea to Vancouver to live there for a month. My family told me that there was a restaurant in West Vancouver so I came here with no hope. I ate at a sushi restaurant called KIN. I found the best restaurant in Vancouver during my 20 days. The most delicious sushi was. The taste was so unique and full of sincerity. Also, the bibimbap here was excellent. Next time I come, I definitely want to come back again. I had a good time with the owner~~^^
I visited for a late lunch with my parents. There was a parking lot in front of the store, so it was easily accessible, and the store owner and staff were all friendly and checked for any shortcomings from time to time, so I had a comfortable meal. The store was really clean, the atmosphere was nice, and most importantly, the taste! Every single item on the menu was so delicious, clean, and satisfying that it was the most delicious meal I had during my trip to Canada!
The food is really delicious and reasonably priced. People are always friendly and give excellent service.
Run of the mill with the tiniest of portions. $25 for sashimi - sushi combo... no Variety, mostly GMO farmed-fake salmon and cali roll. Much better places for the Sushi connoisseurs.
i love to try new sushi places. Ordered spicy tuna sashimi for take out at Kin Sushi in West Vancouver. Staff were not that welcoming at first. But I asked how their day was going and that tended to open up a bit of conversation. When I went to office to enjoy my sashimi, noticed the size was less than half of what I usually get at other sushi places in the lower mainland. Phoned and spoke to staff politely and calmly and shared that their sashimi was too small compared to other places. They said sorry this is our size of take out order . They also said they cannot do anything about it. Obviously I felt short-changed and wanted to give the staff opportunity to make it right. But unfortunately, they fell short. Sorry to say that I would not and could not recommend Kin Sushi for value and for atmosphere. Hope this is helpful. Kindly
Food was Good . They are not licensed though despite what it says. This is a takeout place they really arent equipped for sit down even though they have tables. Everything about our meal here was adequate except the food which was adequate+ so I dont know how this place has over 4 stars.
Fresh sushi. Good and friendly staff. Would eat again at this place Food : 5/5
My favourite sushi in Vancouver - no questions asked.
Don t think, just go. This place is AMAZING! We love sushi and eat out often. We will repeat many times!
The food was a chef s kiss
I went to the restaurant to order takeaway tonight. There was a young waitress who helped me order food. Although she was wearing a mask, her body language and tone were showing that she is really impatient and acting rude to me. I waited 45 minutes for my food while seeing others getting their orders. Although the food is okay, the service was extremely disappointing.
Its a nice place with very delicious food and very kind and helpful staff.
Delivering goods to Richmond is very hard work, dont you think there is something wrong with your character?
Good food and good service
Awesome, fresh and authentic. I highly recommend this place especially their spicy scallop roll. Mmmm!
Friendly, quick service. Only 3 tables. Given complimentary tea while waiting. Attentive filling of tea even they are busy. Don t feel rushed. Fast turnover. Bento box tempura had salmon, prawn along with various vegetables Parking: Free parking in front , small mall Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor
Great service and foods!!
The food is ok but the service is terrible, no smile, not patient, not friendly at all. And the waitresses have different attitudes to different people, I can sense sort of discrimination. Will not go again.
very nice
Food is pretty decent and the service is great! Will come again!
My go-to restauant list!
The worst restaurant I ever been. Unprofessional, unfriendly, poor attitude and rude. Shame on you.
May 18.2023. The cashiers lady very rude. Very arrogant, ignore customers and even delay my order. Never come back. Please fire this rude lady.
Good bento box. Parking is a bit of a challenge
Delicious, enjoyable lunch
Fresh sashimi
We usually use takeaways. Going there for years. Exceptionally good sushi: always fresh and high quality ingredients. Great customer service.
Very high quality and healthy sushi - highly recommend and order often.
Love this place!
Took my family of four here this evening for first time and we loved it. Great quality sushi, great prices, great service. Look for the combo special - only $18.95 for your choice of a special roll, an appetizer (one option being 5pc of sashimi!), tasty salad, and miso soup. Highly recommended.
Portions are waaaaaayyy too small. Shrink-flation at its finest.
Always delish, fresh, beautiful.
Great food, great service! Chicken teriyaki bento was amazing !
excellent food, prices and atmosphere... highly recommend as a great place to have sushi in west vancouver.
Its a tiny but cute place, food is usually pretty good.
Favourite sushi place in all of North America. Simply would recommend my favourite is red dragon roll or for the spicy food lovers hot night roll
I visited on the recommendation of a friend. The owner made the sushi so beautifully that I could feel his sincerity upon seeing it for the first time!! All types of rolls are delicious and the portions are plentiful haha. The staff were all friendly, and the store was clean and nice. It was nice that the price was cheap compared to how full I was! I will visit again next time I go to Vancouver!
My Second favourite sushi spot in west Vancouver.
I always order takeout from this little spot on Marine Drive. I love their chicken teriyaki and yam tempura roll, and their spicy mayo is great! Always good sushi and service from Kin Sushi.
The service was attentive and gentle. The place was dingy and rundown. The food was truly bad. Well, the raw fish was rubbery and smelly. The rolls had bizarre flavour. I hear the tempura is good but what tempura isn t? Anyways, I won t be returning and was surprised at the ratings. Sometimes kind proprietors get more stars than they deserve. I hope this is a wake up call.
Cut my finger on long staple! Sounds crazy but if you get take out, carefully dispose of the long staples they use to secure the receipt to the reusable mesh bags. I kept my bag and sliced my finger so badly its taken a over a week to heal! And my wife cut her finger on their bag too. What is happening to us?! Dont end up injured like we did! Be careful!!!
Small, chill, sushi is SO GOOD!!
The best sushi in the world!!
Super friendly staff, helpful, fast, and the food is fresh and delicious.
The online menu is showing incorrect prices and they fail to fix it. Spent 50% more than I should of
Its pretty cheap/low quality sushi. Nothing bad, but just low quality. The chicken karaage was bizarre...they were like meat balls and tasted nothing like karaage. Many better options out there.
Smaller than average Bento box but good quality food. A bit frustrating experience.... I requested a yam roll with my bento instead of California roll (I dont like the crab) offering to pay the difference. Instead they just added it to the bill replacing the Cali roll from the meal so I ended up with a 25$ Bento lunch and a small one at that.
Wow. So good. Great value and they actually give you what you pay for. Great customer service. High quality ingredients. My West Vango-to sushi
Nice sushi, close to the beach, and especially awesome Korean hot sauce!
Never disappoints! Great quality and very friendly service.
Decent sushi but for the price its definitely worth it
Terrible customer service !!! With only 3 tables inside the restaurant, we were waiting for 30 minutes for few simple types of sushi rolls. To my question about our order, I was told that they are very busy with preparing take out orders)) Just no comments !
Quality sushi with great service
Love it small dining very good rolls very clean lovely staff working great parking right up 1 block from the ocean in west van . Try the baked cheese roll
Best sushi in West Van
TL:DR: A really solid, local sushi restaurant. I find myself struggling with sushi restaurants sometimes. There are some really expensive ones in the lower mainland, and many of them are overrated. I find it really difficult to find that solid middle ground place that still has nicely executed fresh sushi. This place is it. Great service, a limited menu (a good sign), and very fresh sushi that is tidy in execution with good rice texture and thickness. As you would expect from a Korean run sushi restaurant, the fried items are excellent. We saw a table next to ours who clearly knew the owner and they ordered some non-sushi items which looked excellent. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time.
Every time I get it, I am never disappointed.
Arrogant owner, bad service, below average sushi take your business somewhere else.
Great sushi and great prices!
My wife and I tried this place on September 14 during our trip to Vancouver. We found the place through google search and we decided to give it a try. We absolutely loved it. It was the best we had among 6 sushi places we tried in Vancouver during our vacation. Reasonable pricing and good quality and decent presentation. Moreover, the staff were very courteous and friendly. We requested some ice to store the breast milk for our daughter and they were accommodating despite the take out traffic they had at their restaurant. Certainly recommended.
Great value for take outs especially lunch specials!
Great sushi and excellent service! A must try! The sashimi was very fresh and quite delicious
Really nice and the food was good, we enjoyed it there.
Wonderful restaurant! My family and I often visit this restaurant on a weekly basis, and it never fails to amaze us with its delicious food!
Great food, Great price, Great staff! Must try Korean Spicy Chirashi!
A great amount of variety and very fresh! Often come here for take out.
Very tasty, service is excellent
Always fresh and amazing price
This sushi joint boasts a fresh and cost efficient menu. Whilst it isnt the most mind blowing sushi I ever had, its very good and doesnt taste overly-salty. A great and convenient location just off the coastal walk and therefore an awesome spot to grab some sushi and go eat on the beach which is a 2 minute walk away with plenty of logs and benches to perch. I was pretty bummed about the Wakame seaweed salad as they charged like 6 bucks and stuffed a load of lettuce in there to bulk it up. I always choose Wakame salad which is only seaweed with sesame seeds at other sushi places I regularly eat at. Apart from that, the portions were generous for the price and yummy sushi. The restaurant itself is clean, friendly and comfortable with very pleasant staff, no current indoor seating due to COVID. Support local!
This is our go-to sushi place in the area. The sushi is always good and fresh, the prices are reasonable, the teriyaki beef is tasty. Be sure to order well ahead as they are very popular.
Great sushi!
Very poor and rude customer service
Solid and good value sushi in Ambleside. Korean-influenced style sushi using gochujang vinegar sauce on the spicy rolls. Definitely recommend sticking to their simpler rolls. Overall fairly good price to quality ratio and great for an inexpensive sushi takeout.
Really good sushi. Ate down at the beach 2 blocks away.
We were pleasantly suprised with how fresh, delicious, and affordable their sushi was. They even gave us a bonus miso soup which made our tummies happy at the end of the meal! No seating inside so we brought our sushi to the park down the street to eat in front of the ocean.
Good quality sushi at a great price
Fast and efficient take-away service.
A cute little sushi place off of Marine Drive. I love their yam tempura roll but everything here is pretty good.
One of the better sushi places in West Van. Small - very few tables.
Amazing food, perfect service! Very affordable and tasty high quality fish! Highly recommended!
Excellent food
Here is one of our favorite Sushi places on Marine drive, Although there are a few worthy competitors, in the area. Kin Sushi is a great choice for quick lunch and take away. They never disappoint! We try to go there in the off-peak time as there are limited seatings available.
Amazing. Full with less than half of what I ordered and I got a free miso soup!
Lovely staff, fast wait times, good food!
The price is good and the food is delicious
This place has one of the best sushi in Vancouver!! I highly recommend this place!!!
Fish for sushi was so fresh and all kinds of sushi we ordered were very tasty. I will try again for sure when we go to North Vancouver.
great takeout in west van!
The sushi didn t taste or smell very fresh. The lady working was not patient and answered our question so fast we couldn t understand anything she said even when we asked her to repeat herself. The chicken teriyaki was yummy though.
Fresh and tasty sushi! With COVID, takeout only. Walked down to the beach to eat. Perfect meal.
My favourite sushi place. Good prices, large selection, all tastes amazing, and the staff are great!
Love this place! Fast friendly service and consistently great food!
Great quality, very fresh and the people were very pleasant. A small restaurant. Order in and take away was fast for us.
Always fresh and tasty. Best sushi in west van!
Consistently the best sushi Ive ever had. Warm, friendly and efficient service, to boot.
Super good food! Will share some pics next time - this time I was too busy enjoying my food :)
I love it here! Weve been coming to this place for 20 years. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Ive not been disappointed with it yet. Down side is there arent many tables so you often have to wait.
Delicious Sushi
Nice service. Sushi is all right but not as good as Im used to from Downtown.
The tempura was light and fluffy, really enjoyed to the fullest.
Very nice! Very good meal.
Great food and customer service!
Excellent quality food, the sushi was extremely fresh and tasty. Very friendly and efficient servers. Prices were quite affordable.
This place is a family owned restaurant with great service and good food. I especially loved the korean style spicy chirashi. You just have to ask for hot sauce on the side and not on the dish so you can moderate the heat.
The delicious eel rice is a must-try. It s very big, especially the raw fish. It s also very fresh.
High quality ingrediences. Reasonable prices. Small space, so unless you come at odd hours, prepare to wait; but definitely worth it. Whenever we travel through Vancouver, we make sure to visit this place (we live in Southern California).
Fresh and fast! Great service, excellent selection!
I didn t expect such great tasting Sushi when I walked in. I was impressed. Keep up the good job.
Great food, and good service. Cozy and convenient.
Probably some of the best Sushi Ive had in this city! Cozy little spot, great staff and great food. Very reasonable prices. Would recommend!
The portions for the nigiri sushi and the sashimi was very small. It was tasty but the portion size really disappointed me
An unpretentious Japanese restaurant run by several pleasant Korean people. Very friendly servers, and quite acceptable sushi with prices to match. Just the kind of place for when youre in the mood for something quick. Parking on Marine Drive or at the back, for free.
Great neighborhood spot
Some of the best Sushi I have had in Vancouver. 10/10
I am so picky for Japanese but this place is AWESOME.
Great family owned business with very high quality sushi at good prices! Highly recommended!
Transformers and good sushi Great food at a great price 10/10
Great service, but food is overpriced for the value, portion size too small, lower quality compared to similar options in surrounding area
Best tuna Ive had in ages
The best sushi!! Have been going here for years
The most comfortable place to go in West Vancouver Delicious, friendly and...
Decent sushi. Most common fishes were fresh tasting. Very cheap and delicious toro (fatty tuna), though not of the red-fleshed/bluefin variety but rather of a lighter fleshed species, although it was still fatty enough and quite tasty. Occasional pieces included rice that was harder/staler tasting than acceptable. Kani (crab) was a little dry. Ikura (salmon roe) didnt taste too fresh and had an overly strong and unpleasant taste.
I don t want to tell ppl about here bc such a small place so easy to get crowded lol This place is one of my fav sushi place in NS. For price, quality and service is awesome. Restaurant is small and u gotta pay bill at casher ( for card) but still I like it. Close to my house so it s convenient as well. Normally I order socky salmon don with brown rice ebisunomono. Fresh and tasty!
Good sushi!
Enjoyed everything we ate, and the service was good too.
Everything is great, the only thing is that its cold there, so wear a jacket!
Korean/Japanese sushi place that leans more on the traditional side. Food is 10/10 in terms of freshness and quality, and service is helpful and gracious. It s small, so be sure to get there earlier than peak times if you plan on eating in!
Small spot, great stop along the way out of town for Sea to Sky Highway. Sashimi combo and rolls were spot on.
Best sushi in Vancouver
This is a very small but but busy restaurant. The Bento box was tasty but could have had a few more veggies in the teriyaki. The tempura had a big piece of salmon though. Medium sized portions.
Nice people, good food. Its small but the service was fast.
So good I considered not reviewing.
Great food. Small place, but worth the wait
Good staff small place good food
I come to this restaurant quite often but they changed the menu for the worse. Quality of food is really good but pricey for what youre getting. I dont think I will return after today.
Excellent cozy restaurant with great food and service. Definitely would come again!
Tasty sushi
Best sushi in terms of price and quality in the area. Ive tried the sushi combo and the red dragon roll combo, both were excellent. The seating can also afford you a nice view of the mountains if you grab a place window-side. Great job guys!
Got a tea while waiting for pick up
The food is sooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooood service is also well done .
Favourite sushi on the North Shore! Kind staff and excellent quality food.
Excellent food. Wonderful staff.
Best sushi in West van
We had take out! The sushi was made efficiently and decently sized. Quaint location.
