At Thai Pudpong restaurant you will find authentic Thai cuisine, prepared in a family owned and operated business. The food will leave your taste buds wanting more and the friendly atmosphere will make Thai Pudpong a favorite gathering place for family and friends.
The Tale of the Dishonest Server Oh server, so charming, with a confident grin, I trusted your words as the meal did begin. “You’ll be safe,” you assured, “No gluten in sight,” But your promise unraveled that very same night. The pad Thai arrived, so fragrant, so grand, Delivered with flourish by your practiced hand. Yet beneath its allure, a danger did hide, A glutenous specter I couldn’t abide. “My stomach is strong,” I thought with some cheer, But soon it was clear: disaster was near. The bloating, the cramps, the sweat on my brow— I’m cursing that noodle betrayal right now. Oh server, why lie? What did you gain, By sending me spiraling through glutenous pain? Was it haste, was it carelessness, or something more sly? I’ll never know why you let the truth die. But mark my words, I’ve learned from this plight: I’ll question each menu with unyielding might. For gluten’s no joke, and trust can decay, When servers spin stories in such a sly way.
Thai Pudpong is a gem in West Vancouver! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a family dinner or a casual meal with friends. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. I highly recommend the Pad Thai and the Red Curry – both dishes are bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The seafood options are also fantastic, especially the prawns and scallops. The spice levels can be adjusted to your preference, which is great for those who like it mild or extra spicy. The staff are attentive and frequently top up water glasses without being intrusive. It’s clear that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about providing a great dining experience. Overall, Thai Pudpong offers a wonderful combination of excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s definitely a place I’ll be returning to again and again!
Wanna know my experience? Ok...here it goes... This was a take-out order. If I had picked up canned Pad Thai from the dollar store I would've had a more pleasant experience. The shrimp in the Pad Thai is frozen not fresh, the texture is old seafood, and it had a raunchy aftertaste lasting into even the day after. It was not de-tailed or de-veined. So, you have poop-tailed old shrimp....eat up! There was barely any bean sprouts or tofu (see pic.) That dish had a terrible aftertaste, and I stopped eating not to risk possible food poisoning. The Noodle Rama. The noodles were cold and old sticking together like noodles would be found at the end of a left-over barrel reserved especially for cattle. But, even they I think would refuse. The beef looked and tasted like they had been deep fried, boiled and burnt (see pic.) The sauce tasted like it would if you mixed mayonnaise and ketchup, and there was no seasoning whatsoever. On top it all....they forgot our chopsticks. I'm not going to sugarcoat this for you. This was the worst Pad Thai I've had. Ever. What an insult to the beautiful nation of Thailand. *for the record 0 stars*
Dining at this restaurant was a delightful experience. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Comfortable seating and friendly service added to the enjoyment. With its reasonable prices, this place is definitely worth visiting. For a satisfying meal with great views, be sure to check it out. Don't miss the pad Thi !
Love it! We ordered Pad Thai with prawns and was so delicious. The service was really fast and the staff were friendly. The only thing I think can improve is playing some music (was so quiet).
We had such an excellent meal here! Some of the best Thai food I've had since moving to the Vancouver area!! The phad Thai was incredible and the duck curry or Geang Phed Ped-Yang (Barbecue duck in a red curry sauce with fresh Thai basil, cherry tomatoes and pineapple) was phenomenal 😋 There were a couple bones still left on the duck meat so be careful when chewing. HIGHLY recommend this place if you want an extremely good authentic Thai cuisine!!! Will be going here for our Thai food from now on 😄
Really delicious food! The lunch specials are well priced and very tasty! You also must try the stuffed chicken wings and the spring rolls..they are both crispy and delightful! It was my first time back in over a decade…I will not wait so long again to return!
Friend took me here during my visit to Vancouver and it didn't disappoint. Pudpong has an authentic feel with the servers quickly taking your order and bringing out food. They customized a couple of items for us, providing Thai food that reminded us of eating out in Bangkok. I recommend the Tom Yum soup and Papaya Salad if you can handle spicier foods.
Amazing Experience at Thai Pudding Restaurant I recently visited Thai Pudding, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff that made me feel right at home. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious Thai dishes, but what really stood out was their signature Thai pudding it was truly one of the best desserts I ve ever had. Creamy, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness, it was the perfect end to a wonderful meal. The flavors of the dishes were authentic, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced spices. The service was attentive, and the entire dining experience was top-notch. Whether you re a fan of Thai food or just looking for a new spot to try, I highly recommend Thai Pudding. I can t wait to go back!
A Hidden Gem - Thai Pudding Restaurant I had the pleasure of dining at Thai Pudding recently, and it was an unforgettable experience. The restaurant s cozy, inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for the meal ahead. The menu features a great selection of authentic Thai dishes, but the real star of the show was the Thai pudding. Rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious, it was the highlight of my meal and unlike anything I ve tasted elsewhere. Each dish was prepared with care, showcasing fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors. The service was outstanding attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Whether you re craving savory Thai food or looking for a special treat to end your meal, Thai Pudding is definitely worth a visit. I ll be coming back for sure!
I recently visited Thai Pudding, and while the food was fantastic, there s definitely room for improvement in the overall ambiance. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the menu offered a wonderful selection of authentic Thai dishes. The star of the meal, however, was the Thai pudding rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet. It was by far one of the best desserts I ve had in a long time! That said, the restaurant s interior and décor are in need of some serious updating. The space feels a bit dated and could benefit from a refresh to match the quality of the food. Despite this, the delicious flavors and attentive service more than made up for the less-than-ideal atmosphere. If you re looking for amazing Thai food, Thai Pudding is definitely worth a visit just don t expect the most modern setting. I ll definitely be back for the food!
Easily the best Thai food I have had in Vancouver
Authentic Thai food and great location.
Really delicious and authentic. The price is reasonable. You cannot find this range of price in West Vancouver. Somtum, Yum Nua, Pad Thai and all curry is a must try. We enjoyed it a lot.
Coming from Malaysia where only live 2 hours away from Hatyai, the food here is very bland and tasteless. The phad kratiam and vegetarian delight are very watery, bland and tasteless. The vergetrian delight was filled with watery peanut sauce, its like drinking water with peanut butter stirred in to it. It is awful. The only good (not great) dish I had was the seafood Tom Yam. That too was more sweet than sour. I left with 90% of the food still intact.
Quite enjoyed a variety of their dishes. Pad Thai, curry, squid were all nice. Reasonably priced as well.
It s really delicious! Its not an amazing feeling, but it has a warm feeling like eating at a friends house. And the price is very good among restaurants in West Vancouver Although you cant see the sea directly, its just a step away from the sea. Maybe you can watch the sunset at the beach and have a bite to eat on the way.
Really good Thai food - best Ive found in Metro. My favourite is Phad Gra Prow - fresh, fresh veggies and basil stir fry. West Van is lucky to have this level of Thai restaurant.
Best tom yum kung around :)
Really tasty, authentic pad thai and a good panang curry. Portions are generous!
We were looking for some good Thai food while in West Vancouver, we found this place because of the great Google reviews. Unfortunately, it didnt live up to its reviews. We tried 2 curries, 2 soups, pad Thai, spring rolls, chicken satay, and one rice dish. Most of them were lacking flavour. The green curry was the best dish we tried. We will not be hurrying back. We eat Thai food often at different restaurants, and this was definitely not at the same level as we are used to in Vancouver and the Coquitlam area.
Best thai food in Vancouver, hands down.
The prices are ok, food could be better.
Probably the tastiest restaurant in west van, decent pricing too, shame it s not busier.
A small little gem in West Van, really the best place to eat around this area, tasty good food, decent portions and very fair prices!
Thai Pudpong Restaurant offers an authentic and flavorful Thai dining experience. The restaurants inviting ambience and warm, friendly service create a welcoming atmosphere for a memorable culinary journey. The menu boasts a delightful array of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with vibrant flavors and aromatic spices. From classic Pad Thai to savory curries and fresh, zesty salads, the restaurants commitment to using high-quality ingredients shines through in every dish. With its dedication to authenticity and attention to detail, Thai Pudpong is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional taste of Thailand in a comfortable and inviting setting.
Delicious and hot food, was ready quickly, friendly and attentive staff. 10/10.
Such delicious food, very quick and friendly service :) will definitely be back!
As a Thai international student here, Thai Pudpong can make thai food that that taste the same as my childhood dishes. From now on Pudpong Pla Fu & Mango Sticky Rice are available! Pudpong Pla Fu is deep-fried tuna with mango salad. The dish is a balancing sour, salt, sweet, spicy (optional) Mango Sticky Rice is simply the whole mango and sticky rice with coconut milk. The mango will give the sweetness, while the coconut milk will perfectly contrast.
Im a Thai international student living in Vancouver and this place makes really good Thai food. Highly recommend.
Every dish is delicious!
I loved this restaurant because it has a variety of tasty foods.*****
The service is very quick and the servers are cordial and very nice. Seems like a family run establishment. We had the tom kha soup and the king stir fried veggies. The soup was tasty but extremely sour. It s not a side, the portion size is as large as an entree. The veggies were disappointing. Underflavoured, and the rice had to be ordered separately. Large portion size but taste wasn t the best. For the price, I don t know if i would recommend.
AMAZING PLACE, great service and delicious food. We ordered pad Thai + red curry and it was exquisite
My best Thai restaurant. Pad Thai and Yellow curry are so delicious.
The food was really great. The hot and sour soup with coconut milk was absolutely delicious and the green papaya salad was refreshing and very flavorful.
Food was not cooked properly. Just one server running around trying to manage the whole place.
How bad Thai food can get?! Pad thai had a bad smell. Vegetables in green curry were raw, like just cut and put on top before serving. Seems that the owners dont care
This place is a hidden treature...the dood is defi itely homemade, high quality, I are a full bowl of rice and xurry and God I didnt feel I had a whole meal without exploding!!! Also, the food was so inexpensive that I couldnt believe my eyes, for West Vancouver! Family run, definitely worth trying. We showed up at 1130am ans. before you know it the place was packed for lunch!
My recent visit to this restaurant I got severe food poisoning, I will not be recommending this restaurant. I must say I appreciate that I realized that I was missing a food item when I picked up my food, once contacted the restaurant that apologized, and gave me some spring rolls additional to what I order.
Great tasty lunch
Delicious
We love this place! Each time we have ordered take-out, the quality and flavour are amazing. Also love supporting a place with friendly management and staff. The prices are great, too.
Authentic. Incredible food. Reasonable price
Food is honestly - average.
Quick and delicious and the staff were lovely.
Great intimate and local Thai restaurant. Absolutely recommend this gem! The staff was so sweet and friendly. Our food was delicious and comforting! You get a lot for the price. I ordered the chicken Tom Yum soup and my boyfriend had the spicy chicken pad Thai. Delish!
The Pad Thai was dry and tasteless - all noodles. The shrimps were tough and over cooked. The spring rolls were cooked in old oil. All in all a waste of money and a big disappointment. They used to be much better.
Amazing, fresh ingredients. Prawns and scallops were succulent, crunchy, and juicy. Rice and noodles were perfectly done. Everything tasted great. Service staff were great as well, and service was fast. The restaurant was nice and clean.
The food here is delicious and the service was good. We tried the lunch specials which were very tasty and filled us up. The decor and place itself is a bit dated but this just adds to the charm of the establishment. Overall I would highly reccomend Thai Pudpong, delicious food for a reasonable price.
Food is amazing. This is my third time here.
10/10 food was delicious! Generous portions with a huge variety of vegetables. Will definitely come again Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pad Thai
I enjoyed being in a family restaurant.
Great family run business that serves tasty Thai food. The servers are friendly and always kind to my kids. Love that food is always served quickly. Weve done take out and dine in and they are always consistent. Great value for the $.
Milk tea is the best Ive ever had and the pad thai is yummy! Great family run place!
The hidden thai restaurant in west vancouver, great thai food and service
I felt the family was very friendly. I can only give them 1 star though. The prawns were very fishy in salad roll. I couldnt eat it. The peanut sauce was horrible. Too bad because they were so nice.
2023.05.07: Everyone was so friendly, and the food was delicious! We went in for an early dinner at 5 p.m. after some sledding on the mountain.
Great little Thai restaurant with authentic flavours and good size portions at a reasonable price. Great little lunch menu with a good variety. We got some complimentary spring rolls with sweet chili sauce as well.
The food tastes like eating in Thailand. Highly recommend this shop, the price is not expensive. All food very good
This place is a hidden gem, and it s been around for over 20 years! The people who run this place are very hospitable, attentive, and helpful. The ambience is old school in a good way, it makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The food is delicious, and much closer to the authentic Thai flavours of which most other Thai restaurants in Vancouver lack. And, top it all, the prices are very fair for the quality and portion served. Most items are around $15 at dinner time. Given the inflation we are experiencing, the prices here are also old school in a good way. I hope they keep up with this approach. It was my first time, but I think this will be a regular option for me in the future. Truly recommend!
The place is very cozy the staff is extremely friendly and the food does not take ling to arrive. Good prices bug portions, an excellent option for thai food. You can feel the home made food style. The curry is delicious and the mail flavours is not super spicy. 100% recommended.
The best Thai food!! Great for take out. If you dine in the service is reliable, very quick and friendly.
Very decent Thai food at this price level!
Authentic, amazing service, food and prices!! Brought me back to Chiang Mai 100% recommended!!!
Best Thai food in North Vancouver
Why this Phad Thai tastes like peanut butter sauce so weird
This restaurant is authentic Thai flavours foods . yummy I love it.
A treasured Thai restaurant worth a try! In terms of appetizers, their stuffed chicken wings are delicious and go very well with the sweet and spicy sauce. There are two soup options: hot and sour soup and coconut milk soup. Whether it is vegetarian, meat or seafood, it can meet different needs. For salads, their green papaya salad and roast beef salad are both outstanding. These salads are refreshing, rich in ingredients, and seasoned with spicy and sour flavors. For main courses, they have a wide selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Stir-fried ginger, stir-fried kidneys, chicken kidneys with spicy peanut sauce, etc. are all delicious options. A variety of curries are a must with a bowl of rice! If you like pasta, their Pad Thai and instant noodles are also good choices. The food is delicious, the price is affordable, and the service is friendly. Whether it is a family dinner or a gathering of friends, it is a good choice.
One of the best authentic Thai food in the city. We love every dishes we orders. Highly recommended
Atmosphere felt outdated, giving off a vibe of an old establishment. About prices, I found it to be quite high, reminiscent of downtown establishments. Food quality is very average While the staff s caring approach is commendable, improvements are necessary to bring the overall dining experience up to par.
Stopped in for lunch and we ordered the crab delight, red curry with pork and stir fried thai noodles. Food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! Service was excellent. We would definitely eat here again.
Chicken pad Thai was delicious. Staff were super friendly. Quiet and peaceful for a Thursday late lunch! Definitely recommend.
I am not normally one to throw small businesses under the bus, but people should know this establishment serves raw chicken (I bit into it and may have eaten some; I guess well see how I feel in 2-5 days)! I understand that it was a busy evening (Friday, July 28) and the kitchen staff were likely pressed, but that is no excuse for compromising on food safety standards. Food safety should be a priority for all restaurants, and if a business can t ensure that on a busy evening, it shouldn t be serving food. Id rather wait an extra five minutes to enjoy thoroughly cooked chicken than get sick with any number of pathogens commonly found in raw and undercooked poultry. I brought the raw chicken to the owner s attention, and he initially offered me a small bowl of free rice before finally removing the chicken satay from the bill. No bueno!
So good, everything was so fresh, great lunch specials. Highly recommend this place
Fantastic pad Thai. Server was super attentive! Amazing job.
Indeed this restaurant has the best pad Thai and Red Curry. I would love to come back here but we live too far in Texas
Very disappointed with the food and atmosphere. Food has really gone downhill here.
The waiter either does not understand English or has a very short memory. Instead of the red wine we ordered, we got the white one. When we got the bill, it had an extra item that we didnt even order. Pudpong special fried rice was terrible. It seems to be this rice was fried on a huge amount of pork fat. There was no taste of the rest of the ingredients, only pork fat. By the way, in the menu it says, that the Pudpong special fried rice has prawns, but it actually has just three tiny shrimps on a side.
Food and service was excellent, truly done by a Thai. The taste was like I was in Thailand
Don t go to this restaurant! They dont know how to cook Thai food at all! They cheat you on the ingredients and no meat, just bones in Geang Phed Ped Yang! They do very lower level cooking for Thai food! The food is not worthy of the money you pay! DO NOT GO THERE!
I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at this restaurant. The dishes were fresh, perfectly cooked, and undeniably delicious. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the quality of the ingredients truly shone through. Its a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch cuisine!
Best waitresses every! Food delicious. Be sure to ask for spice, otherwise zero heat. We learned for next time.
Good Tom Yum! Bit under spiced for hot dishes. Scant rice portioning.
Theyve reopened and we were delighted with the experience. Prices were reasonable and we enjoyed family style. Each dish allowed all 4 of us to have a decent portion with enough to spare.
Four of us can for dinner. This isn t the first time we ve eaten at this establishment. We thought that the food previous times was delicious. Not this visit. We showed up around 730. We were told there was no rice. We thought we could get along with no rice. We ordered pad, Thai. The pad Thai serving was far smaller than it ever has been. And then we needed a second dish of pad Thai. We were told they were out of those noodles and they would substitute. And what came was a big pile of mushy flat rice noodles. The service was very poor. We were not asked how things were, if we needed another beer. And the owner of the establishment was watching a little TV program at his table. This morning I m not feeling very good. I was very disappointed with the experience.
Phenomenal food and service. Highly recommended
The food is so traditional. The best Thai food in town.
We dined in and the atmosphere was nice enough but the food wasn t good. My wife ordered the duck which tasted old and was really chewy. Hard pass for the future.
If I could I would give six stars. You wont find better value in west van. The lunch special is a really good deal and their Curry is delicious. I have eaten there 3 days in a row
Best Thai food I ve EVER had!!!
Amazingly delicious ma and pa thai food. Best Thai Ive had in a long time. Ordered the special, friend had the pad thai, and both were amazing!
Great, fast service! Food was delicious!
Outstanding Thai food in a quaint little family restaurant.
Amazing Thai food at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.
I first went to a restaurant across the street and waited 30min for a simple order while everyone else where getting theirs. I decided to leave and went here. Even tho I entered after their closing hours, they gave me an amazing service and it definetly added to my day. The meal Ive had came quickly and was exceptionnally delicious. Looking foward to go back a few times to experience different meals. Highly recommended!
Been here several times. We keep coming back because the food is always delicious and the setting is so cool. We love this place. Owner/ staff are top-notch. Hope to visit again soon when we are in West Van
No tofu
Really great curry! Had the green curry, red curry and the Pad Thai and it was really tasty! Would recommend to anyone! The owner is a very very nice man. Great service!!
Nice little family-run Thai restaurant in the north shore. Visited last month for an early dinner - fairly quiet as we were the only ones in the restaurant but they were working on some take out orders. The stuffed chicken wings were good. Theyre boneless chicken wings stuffed with grass noodles, carrots and ground chicken served with a sweet dipping sauce. I preferred them over the prawn and crab rolls as those seemed to be too heavy on the cream cheese (part of the crab filling). Also tried the Thaipudpong Swimming Angel which was chicken topped with peanut sauce and served in a bed of spinach. Im used to the spinach being wilted down but this version is pretty good on a hot summer day. For my money, the Thai milk tea is a better choice than the Thai iced tea with lime. Next time, would like to try one of their curries.
Very traditional restaurant. Delicious foods. I was so happy.
Food was so filling and delicious! Ordered the green curry, pad thai, and oyster beef and it was absolutely amazing! would 100% go again.
Khob khun ka !! Awesome value for money lunch in a down to earth, locally ran Thai joint in a nice location around Centennial. I got a Tofu Phad Khing and Green Papaya Salad (som tum) which was pretty yummy and an unexpected delight. It wasnt the most authentic Thai cuisine, but tremendous value for money to settle your Thai grub fix with a plentiful colorful portion with plenty of veggies and protein. Support local business!
Great place!
What a find! Stumbled onto this while walking with the fam. Excellent customer service and the food was amazing. Highly recommended!
The food is great and the people are really very lovely. This is a go-to for a nice take-out meal with my family on a Friday night.
I am in love with the food here, their services are great. Saranghae
We recommend you our special menu Tom Yum Thai Noodles which is sour and spicy soup with thin Thai noodles. We serve with ground pork, slices pork, fish ball and bean sprouts. How delicious. Must try!
delicious food, amazing customer service, great prices!
I had hair in my red curry
Great food!
Always so good, and very quick!
Excellent. Extremely reasonable prices, especially for West Van. Generous and delicious rama noodles. Sauce is not spicy as advertised but quite tasty. Friend had pudpong noodles and enjoyed.
I ve been going here since I was a child, and it s truly such a gem. The staff are so kind and the food is always perfect.
Very authentic Thai food!
I love Thai Pudpong Yum Neua ( Beef Salad) A lot of Thai people like this restaurants. Sometimes they offer special dishes but you have to order in advance. Great service. Nice dishes.
Excellent Thai food here and friendly service
I dropped a star because when I went yesterday and the pad thai had a lot of rancid peanuts which made the whole dish inedible. The oyster beef was good but nothing special. A lovely man greeted us at the counter today. Their lunch special must be the best value meal in West Van - a decent portion of an entree of your choosing + a salad for $10.50 (including tax). I had the Pad Thai (delicious!) and will be back to try the other items.
My go to Thai. Love their green curry and Chicken Satay. The best. Edit, just discovered the spring rolls, we order double, just too good.
Good service and food.
This is a small and amazing Thai restaurant serving authentic made from scratch deliciousness. Spiciness to order. Lots of gluten free, also made to order. We are lucky to have this on the north shore.
Would not recommend the Vegetable Delight. It was not delightful, and a bit boring/sad tbh, dish of steamed veggies with some peanut sauce on the side. No stir fried veggies to speak of. My friends choices looked better though.
I went there without any recommendation... It was stunning. The Red Curry is excellent. Seems to be family owned. Would come again without hesitation..!
Been going here for decades. Still the best pad thai in the city and our go to destination for Thai food. Drunken seafood tastes as good as it sounds.
Just might be the best Thai food in town. Red curry with beef/peanut was absolutely delicious.
choices are very limited at west vancouver, quite good food , but the building is so old and quite cold in the winter time. probably the heating system doesnt work properly
Thai Pudpong is the best thai food in West Van. Hans, the owner, is amazing and hilarious. You cannot go wrong eating here!
My family decided to stop in based on the yelp reviews, and especially with less folks dining out, wanted to support the local business. Service seated us immediately and was attentive. We ordered the spring rolls, panaeng curry and vegetable pad thai. The spring rolls came and were fresh and delicious. However, this unfortunately changed when the Pad Thai and Panang Curry came. It appeared and tasted frozen, and the food was lukewarm. When we brought this to our servers attention, they indicated it could be reheated. We asked for it to be made fresh. This brought the owner over, who indicated nobody had ever complained about his food before, that we had let it get cold at our table and said we can remake it, but please dont complain again. Unfortunately, we started digging in the moment it arrived at our table....so not quite true. At this point, we immediately got concerned about what would happen in the kitchen, with the owner insinuating that we wanted to complain. We decided to leave, and will not return. Rating: 2 stars for the spring rolls. Verdict: wont be back
Favourite Thai food in West Van! Great size portions for a great price. Ordered it to go and it was very quick. Phad thai is the best. Wonderful owners!!
We ordered takeout from this place for the first time and it wasn t good, and was extremely overpriced. We ordered spring rolls, panang prawn curry, and vegetarian delight. The spring rolls were greasy in an old oil kind-of-way. The curry had overcooked chewy, recently defrosted prawns, with a curry that tasted like it came from a package. The vegetarian dish had vegetables (carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage) that tasted like they were recently defrosted and somewhat steamed and came with 1/4 cup of what appeared to be some peanut butter with oil and chili paste and an acid with some sugar to balance it out. These guys still use styrofoam, which is really unfortunate. Save your money, make some rice at home and steam some veg. This place not worth it.
This is the authentic Thai restaurant run by Thai owner and chef. Some menu ex son tum(papaya salad) is good but some menu is not good enough ex Thai green curry
The best Thai food on this side of Vancouver! highly recommend.
Lovely people, great food. Honestly among the best places on the north shore.
Fast and friendly service however pad thai was very disappointing. Just 3 shrimp and seemingly no sauce on the noodles. Spring rolls were very good though.
I love Thai Pud pong... great lunch specials!
Unassuming room, amazing food. We are lucky to have this gem on the North Shore.
Good food and good portions! I got the chicken phad Thai and the spring rolls. The Phad Thai was very good, nothing to rave about but still delicious. It had no spice (but I enjoy that). The spring rolls were ANAZING, I loved them. The customer service was great and I d definitely order from here again.
Very quaint interior, old building. But good food and all takeout right now. Flying out the door in quantity so that says a lot. The gentlemen there has a lovely dry sense of humour.
Far from great and very very expensive. Restaurant is in desperate need of a face lift.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants.
Staff was super friendly. I had pad thai noodle for to go. It s fresh and tasty portion was big ! I would go back here for sure!
A delicious quick stop for lunch
Authentic Thai Food in the North Shore. We true the Stuffed Chicken Wings, Pad Thai, Green Curry and Deep Fried Banana (we were so full but we couldnt resist some dessert) - All were excellent! Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.
The best soup I ever had.
Price good qualiy like home made food
Delicious portions at a fair price. Really appreciate the quick and friendly service with a smile. Great option when the craving for Thai hits; we will be back!
What a delightful little restaurant with absolutely delicious food. Very cozy and felt like neighbourhood gem. We will certainly go back.
Cant decide which is better: the food or the staff. Such a pleasant experience all around.
Really good food. Server funny, friendly and provides great service. I d go regularly for lunch when I worked in west van.
Loved, loved, LOVED IT!!! Just stumbled upon this little gem in West Van. The service was very friendly, fast, and the food was sublime!!! So tasty and filling and the prices are so decent. Am going to be a regular here for sure!!!
Such wonderful service and great food :)
Wonderful service and excellent food. Lettuce wraps, red curry, chicken satay, and red wine. Yummy.
Food was delicious. Friendly service. Patio seating. Curry with peanut sauce is must-try!
Food and service were excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be going back there again
Best Thai food in town !
Great place!
Overall a cool and quirky restaurant food is on par with other restaurants its just a more interesting place than others
My Granddaughter and I were delighted with the service and our food. Pad Thai and chicken curry with spinach. Hit the spot after a drive across the city.
It s rare your find a place with one of these: original flavours, stand-up comedy service, or a transporting atmosphere. Thai Pudpong has all three and is complete with Le Chateau Capilano , complimentary for each guest. There is nothing like this place (or that bottle) I ve ever had before. See for yourself...
On my pattented Bowl of noodles scale, I give this place 7/7 bowls of noodles. The food was great and the service was spectacular. Our waiter was so charming and funny, he made the experience so welcoming and fun. Highly recommend trying it out
Amazing Thai food
An absolutely fantastic restaurant in every way. Do yourself a favour - Go in for lunch or dinner on a cloudy/wet day and get the Spicy Green Curry with a Thai ice tea. You will not regret it: Portion Size/Price: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 11/10
Great price good portion size for lunch. Green Curry excellent. Fast service
Food was good but I wasnt asked what spice level I wanted and we had to get the waiter to bring a hot sauce to the table. The flavor just wasnt as good without it.
Was at Ambleside with my wife and daughter so decided to drop in and try this place out . The food was incredible . Especially the green curry omg . And the older gentlemen who was servicing us what an incredibly friendly man . What touched my heart the most about this place is as soon as I walked in and sat down with my infant daughter the server comes and gives a small plate of rice for my daughter to eat immediately and she was really hungry. This gesture really was amazing and to the older gent sir you are amazing keep living your life and spreading love with your humour and personality . I m gonna be a regular now . Thank you for everything .
Great place to stop by for lunch! Will definitely return!
Absolutely delicious authentic Thai food! We love going here. The service is great, the food is amazing and prices are very reasonable. Their lunch specials are $10 and they ve got many options as well! Would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Thai food!
Worst Thai food I have experienced in Vancouver. Ordered yellow chicken curry, the vegetables werent even cooked and soup was watered down. The chicken larb lettuce wraps were bland and boring . The beef in the nam neua was so tough and hard and lacked flavor. And what Thai restaurant does not offer a spice rack? SO disappointed. We will never go back. This is a disgrace to Thai food!
Really delicious Thai food. We found this place on a whim on our way to Cypress. I enjoyed the Pad Thai, Thai iced team and mango sticky rice at the end. All lovely. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. I would definitely go back and recommend it!
its good. Fried rice, noodles and tom yum were all delicious. There were not many tables so there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it.
Food was really bland. On the plus side the water was good
Good value for the price. Their Yumnue (beef salad) is a must to try.
Really tasty food at an affordable price. They can do most of the menu gluten free just street no sauce. I would recommend the phad Thai!
Food was amazing !!!
Very tasty food. Excellent service by the waiters.
Great and locally owned and operated. Service snd food was very good. The location is small, but cozy and charming
Friendly little place in West Vancouver, locally owned and operated. The gentleman (and owner, server) was very kind and attentive. I came with a group of 4 with a baby; we all enjoyed the dishes, even the baby. Will be back!
Very tasty and reasonably priced. Great service!
