Had Pho, Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls. The food is very decent with good potion. Won’t say it tastes the best in town but still good. The waitress is super nice too
I'm sorry but the two Viet subs we got were extremely dry and tasteless.. there was NO mayo or pate, just a piece of dry pork, a fired egg, little bit of shredded carrots, piece of cucumber and little cilantro. Definitely cannot justify the price for this quality.
Food was good, we ordered spring roll, fried wonton and stir fried seafood and noodle. I liked wonton more than spring roll in terms of flavor. Fried seafood was lacking strong flavor, but with chili sauce that you ask it make fantastic. Price was reasonable for the portion.
Overrated on Google, in short, spring roll is small and flavourless, pho is flavourless with overdose of noodle, chicken skew is either hard as rubber or partially uncooked. Hopefully the regular chef is on leave today; otherwise AVOID.
The pho in this restaurant is tasty and big . The skewers are also delicious. I'll try others on the menu next time.
Happy to see a Vietnamese restaurant land here. Pho hit the spot, broth is clear and tasty. Papaya Salad was nice and fresh, could use a little more seasoning or fish sauce. On the pricey side for Vietnamese but given the location overall a great dinner out. Will be back to try more from the menu.
nice family run restaurant with friendly staff and homey vietnamese cuisine. we missed vietnam so much that we decided to take a day off today and try some authentic vietnamese food. the restaurant is big enough for customers to social distance. all staff were wearing masks. hand sanitizer is also available in at the restaurant salt and pepper chicken wings - wings were made to order. the flavour was enhanced by natural ingredients such as garlic, onion and chili pepper lemon soda - refreshing and not too sweet. great pairing with the salt and pepper chicken wings house special vermicelli with prawns, chicken, beef, and 2 spring rolls - generous amount of toppings on the vermicelli. the meats were nicely marinated. the vermicelli dipping sauce is also very tasty house special beef pho - homey taste without msg. broth was made from real ingredients and we didn't feel thirsty afterwards. there were also generous amount of toppings on the pho papaya salad - the papaya is really fresh and the house special sauce makes this dish memorable shrimp on sugar cane - the shrimp paste has a good texture and taste. it was perfectly cooked thank you five corners for bringing back our foodie memories from vietnam
I recommend to try this place the food was great and the taste is good . I went there yesterday and it was my dating day with my husband., actually it’s a wonderful mistake to walk in to here . This place was a Taiwanese restaurant before and we’re expecting to come for our day 🙂😆 But we stop and we try !! the papaya salad is so good without MSG . The noodles soup was great the best taste is short ribs and chicken wings I can’t describe more how good it is I really enjoy it and highly recommend to this place for people who’s looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant and all the menu are no MSG in it.. Anybody needs to know please visit and enjoy the food!!!
Great spot in West Vancouver! The food tastes great. The place has nice atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. It s the second time me and my boyfriend have come here, and we ll be back again for sure!
Always like coming here to have my favourite Vietnamese comfort food. Whether it is rain or shine, winter or summer their noodle and rice dishes are always so tasty.
Wow wow wow. How did I never know about this gem in West Van. My girlfriend and I came here after a 4 hour hike and we loved EVERYTHING! We ll be back!
Came 3 times on a different occasions around 7:30pm and they are always closed at least 1 hour earlier than their Google open hours. Not sure what is the point to show wrong hours on their website and google.
IT IS CLOSED. Excited to try it on a rainy Sunday afternoon but it was closed while the google maps saying it is open! Wasted my time. I would make sure to update the google if I were the owner/management especially the owner has been replying other people s reviews.
Service was good but the bun bo hue we ordered had no flavour at all. Tasted like I was eating noodles from a bowl of oil.
Great spot, food is amazing & the best service love this place so much
Very good food. Reasonably priced. Extremely nice and polite service
Great food. Great service. Im rating it 4 though, because the were VERY understaffed. The waitress was amazing but so overworked.
Went for lunch and had wor wonton soup. It was the best wonton soup I have ever had and the service was great!
Terrible. Ordered prawns and squid . 3 pawns and squid was old and cold disgusting Definitely will never go back
Nice people, pretty expensive tho
WOW! What an incredible and friendly place to come to, my second time here and I have NOT been disappointed!! Always fresh, healthy and absolutely mouth watering delicious and very affordable food at the Five Corners Vietnamese family run restaurant located right here in beautiful West Vancouver! I highly HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try and if you haven t already, you are totally missing out!! I am already looking forward to my next visit as I cannot wait to try the many other items they have on their menu, both meat and vegetarian options! Thank you to our wonderful server, she was kind and gentle, very attentive and respectful too! Thank you to the kind owner as well for always making/taking the time to talk with us, with his customers, and who always makes us feel very welcome every time we have been in there, we will definitely be back soon, cheers! xoxox
Terrible dishes that were not made as advertised. Not ready to be open!!
Weve been to this place several times and its always been good food, however last time then we went there it was only us and the restaurant was pretty empty. We got our pho and we noticed the noodle was not cooked so we asked if they could cook it more. I used to work in restaurants so I know how to ask and be polite. When they returned our dish the noodle was cooked however the meat and the tendons were super dry and stale, indicating they did not like us sending the food back. To me thats unacceptable and shows unprofessional behavior towards customers. The waiter saw us picking out the meat and putting it on a napkin because we wanted them to see how bad they looked. They did not react indicating they knew about it. Disgusting!
High quality food and nice service. We love it.
Vy was so amazing!! Such good food
The service here is so unprofessional and slow. They served 3 other tables that came after us and after they came and said they ran out of chicken. We waited for 40 minutes for our meal.
My husband and I dropped by for some pho and spring rolls.. it was AMAZING super fresh, no additives! I don t remember last time having pho and it not being over salted or too sweet highly recommended! The girl who worked there is absolutely astonishing! Super polite, kind and very helpful!!
Ordered the viet subs the only ingredients in it was some meat and lots of shredded carrots. They did not taste good. Also ordered the grilled lemongrass chicken on rice, the rice was cold. Expected better for the viet subs that were almost 9$ and a rice that cost 20$. Would not recommend. Also wanted to order chicken pho but they said it wasn t even available.
Soups was delicious as well as spring roll
Best vegetarian pho I ve ever had! The portions were a bit small however but the taste really made up for it.
The food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. When we were there, only one waitress was looking after the whole place, and she did great with zero attitude.
Got the veggie noodle soup it was yummy. Good portion size. There is also AC.
Fresh, yummy and fast. Server just needed to be louder.
It s too good and forgot to take photos!!!! Went to this place after a hike to Joffre lake; got all the energy back with this meal. The house special pho is a must order, the broth is rich with good balance of flavors. It has 5 types of beef, the ball, the tender, the tripe, ect. We also had spring roll and lemon grass pork chop on rice.
Wonderful service! Our waitress was phenomenal! The food was good too!
Food was good, but the wait was extremely long - over an hour and only 5 tables at the restaurant. Way too long of a wait, will not return.
Menu are quite the same as other typical pho restaurants but erything taste better, also great servers. By far the best Pho place in North Van
Very tasty food. We like the beef noodle soup and grilled prawns. Price is also reasonable. A quiet and clean place with amazing service.
The tables and floors in the restaurant are very, very clean and tidy, and dont feel greasy at all. The little girl who served us was warm, thoughtful, and decent, with a bright smile. The chef also makes the dishes of high quality, with good color, flavor and appearance!
The spring rolls and the pork were both lacking flavor in my vermicelli dish. The noodles and veg were good but not enough to counter the other underwhelming flavors. My son had the beef noodle soup. Is it normal for the beef to taste of cinnamon? He didn t care for it and he normally likes pho.
Lovely little place, very good food and a super nice waitress! Surprised it isnt packed!
Spectacularly friendly waitress. Beef stir fry was flavourful and good size portion.
Really perfect family run Vietnamese place.
This has the best tasting pho in the North Shore
Very clean and calm, delicious and well-priced food, incredibly friendly service! Lovely place for a quiet dinner.
Great and attentive service! Also very clean restaurant and bathrooms. Pho was large and good variety of meat
Ordered beef and veg stir fry, and spring rolls. Brutal. soupy stirfry and the spring rolls are definitely frozen, big box. stay away. overpriced and terrible food
Solidly bland Vietnamese meal. Prawn vermicelli platter came with just the bare minimum, no cucumber, no herbs- it felt like cost cutting exemplified. The Spring rolls were the tiniest, most boring spring rolls I ve ever had. Nothing like the big crispy traditional Vietnamese spring rolls you can get in most other restaurants. You will get better value, and more exciting flavours and ingredients at other Vietnamese restaurants.
Had bee pho, tasted amazing, ambience is nice, friendly and clean. Waitress was very nice and responsive. Definitely recommended!
Just ate for supper with my family The food was extremely fresh and excellent. The service was very professional, friendly and warm. We highly recommand this place.
A great place with tasty and well presented Vietnamese food. They are just getting their system sorted out and it appears to be family run and staffed so have patience. Spring rolls and pho were delicious. Vermicelli noodles bowls are our favourite!
Best Vietnamese food in west van!
Great lunch, friendly service - the Vietnamese coffee (especially iced) is a must-have! If you want to try something different but really delicious, try the avocado coffee as a dessert - trust me, it s awesome
I recently came across this hidden gem in West Vancouver. Authentic Vietnamese food, that hits the spot with great service. I highly recommend this restaurant and can t wait for my next visit.
Visiting West Van for the first time and stumbled upon Five Corners. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the service was great. The food was fresh and delicious with authentic Vietnamese notes. The menu had some classics and some new fusion items. We also had the advocado coffee drink and it was delicious. I ll definitely be coming back!
Nothing beats Momma s cooked meals for sure! Definitely a biased but honest review
Best Vietnamese restaurant around! Started off with a Viet coffee, tried their stuffed chicken wings (how do you even do that?! Must try!) And finished off with the sate pho. Everything was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend! Definitely going back.
Tasty food and awesome service.
Friendly owners and staff, super clean restaurant and yummy fresh tasting food! Will definitely be back!!
Stopped in for dinner with a friend and was thoroughly impressed! Great food and beautiful restaurant. The owner and staff were very friendly. I m looking forward to coming back and trying more items on their menu!
Great restaurant. Very authentic. Will come back for sure!
Spatial house beef noodle soup The rice noodles are freshly made, not the kind where dry rice noodles are soaked in water. Soft and chewy, the soup is delicious, the beef is fresh, the beef balls are springy, the beef louvers are smooth, the Vietnamese girl is honest and cute, and the environment is clean and comfortable.
Delicious healthy food! We did a takeout order and are glad we chose Five Corners. Everything tasted very fresh and was full of flavour. The owner is kind and friendly.
Delicious and friendly service! They steamed my bean sprouts for the soup!
Good food, friendly people
Great restaurant ! The service is really great, the owner is a really nice person and the food is really excellent. The house specialty pho is amazing !
Overall great experience! The food was wonderful and the service was great. We were extremely happy with our dinner here and it was very reasonably priced. Would recommend!
As a long-time delighted customer of Five Corners Vietnamese Restaurant in White Rock, I was excited to try the family s recently opened Five Corners Vietnamese Restaurant location in West Van. That opportunity came today and I was equally as impressed with their new venture as I have been with their old familiar setting. The family and their service at the new West Van location was equally as friendly and attentive as I expected and the food was absolutely as scrumptious as I hoped it would be. Love those old Vietnamese family recipes that Mama has perfected I highly recommend this comfortable spot for lunch or dinner!
Finally, an authentic and amazing quality Vietnamese restaurant in the North Shore. Most notable item, a spring roll inside of a salad roll, genius! Loved the sate soup as well. Will definitely come back.
Amazing pho! When we went it was still pretty new so I think they were ironing out some hiccups (eg short staffed). But we are excited to try it again.
Fresh high quality ingredients.
Great food, friendly owners and beautiful restaurant!! 5.0 on the stars is a commen theme here!!
Excellent food & service, very friendly & accommodating staff, plus a clean, comfortable environment. Cant wait to visit again :-)
Excellent. A great delicious and affordable Vietnamese restaurant to West Van. We had the fried spring rolls, seafood noodle soup and the spicy and sour fish cake soup. The spiciness is very mild, but when we ask for chilli we were provided with plenty. Immaculately clean, friendly service, delicious causal experience- we would be back!
Good quality food
A great experience and wonderful food. So glad to have this new Vietnamese restaurant in West Van! Our server was friendly and attentive, tables were well spread out and other patrons placed as far away as possible to maintain social distancing. And, most importantly, absolutely delicious food. I had the vegetarian pho, which was delightful, and my dad had the lemongrass chicken. I look forward to returning as there were many other items on their menu I hope to try!
Very good food, really enjoyed the seafood spicy soup, and my husband loved the lemongrass chicken sub, and the stir fried seafood rice is excellent! Cant wait to come back! Beautiful clean restaurant, and great service!
Came here to try out since the reviews were pretty good. The atmosphere and decor were nice and comfortable. Spring rolls were small but delectable pieces cut into halves. The spicy noodle dish was a moderate level of spicy, which actually suits my taste. The house special beef noodle soup however, was not what I expected. The noodles were a bit soggy and the beef was overcooked so it was a little bit dry and hard to chew. The soup on the other hand was tasty and I didnt feel thirsty even after a good few hours. A testament to their soup being prepped for 10-12 hours. Each item looks pricey but given the rise in prices everywhere, it is actually not that bad. The service was good. The waitress that worked tonight was cute.
The noodles were mushy. Soak them for too long? Ideally the noodles shouldnt be cooked too long. Good noodle texture is just as important as the broth. The papaya salad was great.
Super clean place and the food is delicious, good quality of beef, very tender and fresh
Tried the veggie tofu soup and it was the best I have had in Vancouver! Lots of flavor
Good quality of food and good quality of customer service as well.
One of the best pho I had in a while!
definitely recommend this Vietnamese restaurant in west van. Cozy, friendly, good food and generous portion.
